Excellent Mexican restaurant in Dryden. As good Mexican food as it gets here in the Finger Lakes. Their chile rellenos are amazing.
So good! The burrito I ordered was excellent and huge (its half eaten here). My wife and I split the dessert nachos which were also really great! Would recommend!

By far one of the best restaurants in the Ithaca area. I recently moved from Florida and have been disappointed by the quality of restaurants in the area. Ive been spoiled with great Mexican food in Florida and have been so happy to find something that is on par- and even surpasses. My go tos are the shrimp tacos, the fish tacos, the pazole and nachos. Everything has been amazing!
We stopped by for lunch and enjoyed our meal and the music playing in the background. My wife selected 2 Street tacos with refried beans and rice. I had the California dreaming burrito. Be sure you are hungry if you get that burrito! Very good and plenty to eat!

This is some of the best Latinx food I’ve had, bar none. That includes every restaurant in NYC, and every other city, that I’ve tried so far. As someone raised in Dryden, the fact that they’re in the village is blowing my mind. If you haven’t had the fish tacos or barbacoa burrito, do yourself a flavor and get some.
This place is amazing!!! Karen is an awesome waiter. She is very friendly as well as kind to the customers. She also assisted my family & I when needed, without complaints. I ordered the steak quesadilla and it was so delicious. The food was filling too! I highly recommend for individuals to eat at the place. Thanks be to God, glory to His name!!!
Been there three times and the food has always been great. I would’ve given it five stars but the service is not great. The young girl at the register seems to be annoyed by customers and that just ruins the experience.
Village Taqueria and Grill is our discovery of the year. Everybody in the restaurant is super nice and friendly and the atmosphere is great! But the best part is the food! I love the “California Dreamin” Vegetarian Burrito so much, I tear up when I think about it. The burrito is San Diego Style, with fries tucked inside instead of rice. If you re not used to it, this concept might seem strange at first - until you take your very first bite. Heaven on earth! Hands down the best burrito I have ever had, and I really mean it!

We didnt like it we love it 🥰 we would give it 6🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 if that was an option. All the food was Fresh and made to order, I had a shrimp Burrito 🌯 & my wife had the Baja shrimp taco 🌮 & we split an order of Mexican taquitos stuffed with Beef. They also have amazing looking burgers & such. We want to try everything on the menu eventually.Do I recommend this place? But only if you like fresh food at a reasonable price, if you prefer frozen food then this isnt the place for you. A great big thank you to the staff and owners of Village taqueria, gracias!!! 🤩
To be real I gotta thank my friends at the lab of ornithology because I was introduced to this place by conversation. Great food. Had to wake the wait staff up a lil cuz it was to early lol but everything was great.
Picked up dinner from this new taqueria last night and it was great. My college-aged son said the beef burrito was one of the best he’s had. Taco’s were delicious too. Loved the rice and beans as well. Delicious comfort food. Our only suggestion: spicier hot sauce please. So glad we have this new fresh, healthy and yummy food option in D-town.
I went into this establishment not expecting much. This building has had at least four restaurants in it since I have been in Dryden. I cannot tell you how great it actually is. Ive been all around the country and have had tacos. These are some of the best tacos I have ever had. I ordered the shrimp taco, barbacoa taco and burrito. The freshness was on point. I will be bringing my family back here. I want to thank whoever the owner is. I hope that this establishment is permanent.
I decided to try this place one day for lunch, and simply put they were some of the best tacos I’ve ever eaten. I encourage you to stop in and give it a try, I know that I’m happy I did.
Thank you for a great experience. From the nice person who took our order, to delivering our food at the door to following our dairy free requests. And we really enjoyed the tasty food. All the different meats were good cuts and plentiful in the burrito and enchiladas we ordered. Our four year old loved the beef taquitos.

😳 we came out here from Westchester Dobbs ferry Area a family of 6. The food was AMAZING my husband had the Baja California taco 🌮 and he fell in love!!! I had taquitos which were amazing!!! We would highly recommend you to stop here if you are in the Cortland area with your family.To top it off we had a great host KAREN who did an amazing job making sure we felt at home. Whatever we ask for she made sure we had it. She has great customer service skills so it made us want to stay. Food was great, service good, family was pleased and full. Glory to God for good service and great food!Come to the Village Taqueria and Grill!!!
Probably won’t get this again. The food is over priced for the quality. Dry, bland and mediocre.We’re not picky by any means but we heard so many good things about this place and were really disappointed. We got fish burrito Loaded, beef burrito loaded and pork and beef tacos. The burritos had nothing in them but meat, rice and beans. No cheese, no tomato or lettuce. We had to add everything to our own food to make this decent.Bummer.
Wonderful staff and wonderful food. The dishes are distinctly home grown California Mexican, and Im so glad to have that kind of stuff here in upstate New York after trying it first hand in San Diego last year. I cant recommend it enough.

Great food that they could probably charge more for. Will rotate specials in pretty regularly which are posted on Facebook. A regular stop for folks in the area and worth swinging by if you passing through

Ordered the vegetarian burrito and the nachos. No cheese, no onions, no crema in the burrito, ONLY black beans and old dried up rice!! NO cheese or crema, no onions, no cilantro on the nachos either- just a block of unmelted feta-like cheese and soggy wet chips from the water of the tomatoes- like they had been sitting in it for ages. What a waste of money. Awful. SO disappointed- will never go back.

Finally, a good taqueria in the area! We have ordered various burritos twice now and have been happy both times. They remind me of the burritos I used to get at my favorite taqueria in California. So satisfying! I can’t wait to try their tacos when we are able to dine in.
My wife and I have been here twice so far and both times the food was excellent! I cant say how happy I am to finally have a Mexican restaurant near me that is this good. So much better than the chain restaurants. Portions are spot on.
We ordered a few different tacos which were all very good. Their homemade hot sauce was great. I will go again!

Excellent all around. I had the barbacoa villager burrito and it was perfect. Cant wait to get it again. Sampled some tacos -- carnitas was great - rich but not too fatty or greasy. Very nice people who run it.

Incredible authentic Mexican food. Without a doubt the best in the area. I’ve been half a dozen times or so and results are always the same. The Floautas and burritos are incredible.
This place is a hidden gem. Lots of good homemade Mexican and cali-mex cooking. I love the fish tacos with green chili salsa. They actually had horchata. Worth the drive from Ithaca for pickup.
Weve eaten there 3 times now and everything has been consistently delicious. I recommend the shrimp or fish tacos, taquitos, or the chimichanga. Reminds me of taquerias from the San Diego area ;)UPDATE June 2021...We go here at LEAST once a week and get the shrimp baja tacos...pretty sure theres crack in them because they are so ADDICTIVE ;D
Delicious! Tried several of their meats in different formats, and loved them all. It feels homemade in the best way! Even the hot sauces are homemade and great. I tried the carnitas, carne asada and chicken, all were great. Will be coming back for sure!

If I could give a zero I would. I never got to try their food. We ordered for delivery and an hour later I called. The food was delivered but not to us. I won’t order again as we had guests. Extremely disappointing.

Visiting the finger lakes on vacation. We left Ithaca due to being so busy and headed towards Dryden. We decided to give this place a try. My husband got the chicken street tacos and I got the barbacoa quesadilla. So good! Its a very small restaurant, but what they lack in space they make up in flavor! I would recommend taking to go if they are busy and finding a nice park bench or something to have your meal. If we are ever through the area again we will be back!

2022-03-25Hidden gem in the village of Dryden. I love burritos and tacos and Village Taqueria hits the spot. Gave this place a try because many Mexican places around Ithaca havent really impressed us all that much and we are so glad that we checked this place out. Wait for pickup can be a little long (its a small space) but its completely worth it. If you havent tried their food yet, please do! 10/10 I recommend them to everyone looking for a tasty taco 🌮

2022-04-03Surprisingly good food in a plain wrapper. I had chicken enchiladas, and they were delicious. Dessert surprised me even more- had the mashed, filled plantains that were deep fried and sugared. My oh my but they were outstanding! Will definitely stop here again when I have to go to the Cortland feed store.

2022-07-07The nachos dulce are absolutely amazing. If you love cinnamon and sugar on a perfectly cooked crispy triangle of deliciousness then I suggest getting it. If you love cinnamon twists from taco bell but hate the fact they always forget them then buy this. Its well worth the price. I didnt know tortillas could be used for a dessert and my mind has been completely opened up. Thank you 🙇🏼♀️

2022-05-31A nice place! accessible by car. Nice clean ambience. There are a couple of tables to sit outside as well. However the road outside is a little bit too busy and noisy with heavy vehicles. The hosts are really nice and helpful.

2022-06-24Best Mexican food in the area. Just found out about and ate here three days in a row. Fantastic service. Wonderful menu with some changes daily. Im pescatarian had the fish tacos, Cali veg burrito, veg nachos and potato tacos. Everything was perfect and seasoned. Green salsa my fav. Im from Texas and missed real Tex-mex Cali-mex food. My friends had steak burrito and carnita tacos which smelled and looked great. Also have horchata and jimica. If you want flavor, its here!

I feel if you are running a business you should treat your customers well so they return. Not this place. Walk in stand at the counter and get ignored. Walk in and sit down to order in and get ignored. No acknowledgement at all. 👋🏼 Hello Im here to give you my money!Great little corner spot! I got the barbacoa tacos and they are amazing! I highly recommend them and their hot sauce.
