The team at vision world is excellent from the vision exam, to frame selection, to frame fitting. I didnt know that this mom and pop shop accepted northwell insurance until just recently but Im so glad they do. Ive had such a great experience here due to their personal touch and kindness compared to larger vision centers. I felt every time I step foot into their building... they are there with just my needs in mind. Thank you!

My puppy chewed my glasses and I was calling everywhere to try and get an appointment then I came across visionworld and they gave me a time that same day to come in and I was very happy I found them. From the beginning Nichole was so helpful and patient in helping me choose lenses that fit within my budget. They truly care about customer service here. What a wonderful experience! I was not looking forward to having my son fitted for glasses. He is on the spectrum and hates anything on his face. The ladies there and Bruce were so welcoming and understanding they made the process so easy and quick. Even gave us a discount b/c our insurance is not yet in effect but we need the glasses asap and couldnt wait! We will continue going back to them in the future.
Our wonderful recent experience at Vision World is truly worth sharing for those looking for a professional, service-oriented, and friendly resource for eye exams and prescription eyeglasses and sunglasses. We were interested in finding a local shop and we could not be happier with our choice. Appointment times were respected, our examinations were thorough, and the choice of frames is excellent. They carry a good-sized line of petite frames, too - always a challenge for me. The entire staff was patient and helpful as we tried on frames, offering what we felt were honest opinions about various styles based on the shapes of our faces. Vision Worlds staff is knowledgeable and sincerely invested in providing the highest level of service. Each visit was a fun experience and odd as it may sound, we will miss them all until we see them again next year!
I’ve been going there since I first started wearing glasses at 3 years old. They are always so nice and really honest about what looks best and what would be the best option for me. They especially had an incredible amount of patience teaching me how to wear contacts for the first time. It took many boxes of trial lenses and multiple visits but I finally got it thanks to their help. I highly recommend for anyone looking for glasses to stop in and ask for Bruce or Nicole. You will be glad you did.
It’s very rare to frequent a business and have a wonderful experience every time. Bruce and his team at Vision World are one of those places. My family has been a customer for over 15 years and we are treated like family every time we go in. There is a warm friendly vibe from the counter staff who are always willing to help and have no shortage of patience as you try on numerous frames. I honestly wish I could give them 6 stars instead of 5!!! All of the staff are so friendly and helpful. They really treat you like apart of the Vision World family! Nicole and Regina will help you find a pair of glasses that suit your individual style and Paul and Bruce are extremely quick with their turnaround time. Vision world and my experience with Bruce and the staff was wonderful. Through the Covid shut down I realized 2 months ago I needed a new prescription. It happens Vision World had a Dr who was able to confirm my prescription had changed. Once ordered Bruce the owner and his staff were customer focused and price competitive. I would recommend them to all.
Just love this place. Bruce and his staff consistently provide the nicest and most informative service. The fantastic optometrists give very thorough eye examinations. There is a huge selection of the newest frames to choose from and the prices are great. Stop by- you’ll be happy you did!

Great lenses, optical vision testing and customer service. Dr Friedman was a pleasure to deal with and took her time and didnt make me feel rushed through the exam. The people working in the optics booth helping me find my new glasses were helpful and honest in what looked good and what wasnt working with my style and head size. Very positive experience and the waiting room was orderly and not overpacked. Great job!
I have been coming to Vision World for the past two years. I have no intention of going any place else. Everyone is so friendly and attentive. Regina assisted me today and she was wonderful. The Rock Star of the entire group is Nicole. She is extremly knowlegeable and has such a great personality. Its like going to friend to buy glasses. You cant go wrong with this location.

This was my second year working with this practice for glasses, sunglasses and contact lenses. I had gone to a different practice for years but when their management changed I wasn’t as happy. That’s when I found Vision World and I couldn’t be happier. The entire staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. They remembered me from a year ago and very personable. They provide a lot of help in picking out frames and do not get frustrated as I tried multiple pairs. Their prices are very reasonable. From the optometrist to the women behind the counter, everyone is very professional. Also, they work very quickly. I have never waited a full week for everything I order. I will continue to go back each year.
Wow, what can I say that will do justice to this place. They have to be the most customer friendly place that I’ve been to. The doctor that we saw to all the people in the front desk went above and beyond to answer all my questions, follow up with me afterwards. If you have VSP, they are a preferred provider too. Hands down, this is the place to go for all your eye ware, and my family will be going there from now on. I highly recommend them!
I would like everyone out there that has a need for ANY type of glasses to come to Vision World Albertson. The help is FRIENDLY & COURTEOUS beyond belief & Bruce is a doll! My son needed his glasses for school and he did them for us ASAP! Run, don’t walk to Vision World Albertson! Update: The aging process is not an easy one to come to terms with. Although I had exceptional vision my recent eye exam showed me I needed help. At Vision World I was so happy to go through this process. The eye exam was thorough and Nicole , my service technician was an absolute doll & gave me AWESOME advice ! I love my new glasses ! Thank you to everyone there at Vision World of Albertson!! Vision World is by far the best place to go for glasses and contacts - bar none. Bruce is the most pleasant man I have ever dealt with in any retail establishment. His staff are incredible - the women that helped me pick my frames were honest, knowledgeable, insightful, and so helpful. The doctor is thorough and meticulous. I’ve never had such a detailed exam - and I finally have the right fit of lenses for my eyes that are comfortable and problem-free. The eyeglass frames are gorgeous, and the prices are affordable. You will never go anywhere else for your eyewear once you experience the level of professionalism and courtesy at Vision World. They are in a class of their own. They are simply fabulous.

I have been coming to Vision World on Willis Avenue for almost 20 years! The owner, Bruce, and the entire staff are amazing! They are super knowledgeable, patient and kind. Took my 9-year-old for his first pair of glasses. I really liked the customer service. At one point, we had the owner and two associates all helping us by giving us their expert opinions. We didnt feel rushed or pressured to make a purchase. I thought it was a really nice selection of frames from moderately priced pairs to high-end brands.

I had such a wonderful experience at vision world. I went in to get a routine vision test and the doctor was very nice and professional. She went over my prescription with me and then introduced me to Lois so she could help me pick out my frames. Lois was absolutely fantastic! She knew exactly what would look good on my face and by the end I had three pairs I couldnt decide between! They have a great mix of high end designer frames and some more affordable lines so there really is something for everyone. Bruce, the owner is how all business owners should be. He was friendly, appreciative of my business, and weeks later he even mailed me a hand written thank you note! My glasses were ready within a week and Bruce made sure that they fit perfectly. I will definitely be back before summer time to pick out a pair of sunglasses!
I went for the first time based on a FB group recommendation and it was everything they said and more. Excellent, caring and very thorough eye doctor, Dr. Friedman. She took the time to truly listen to my concerns and did an excellent exam and assessment of my vision, which is somewhat challenging as I age (ahem!). I also can’t say enough wonderful things about Bruce (optometrist) and Danielle who both were extremely helpful and so knowledgeable about eyeglasses, contact lens and insurance. It was truly a pleasure to deal with people who genuinely care and wanted to make sure I was happy with my selection.
We moved to Roslyn 2 years ago and have been going to Vision World ever since. The staff, especially Bruce and Nicole are so attentive and caring. They treat you as if you are the only customer in the store. They are especially good with my 5 year old little boy, who has been wearing glasses since he was 3. I was going to a local place in my town for many years but recently became dissatisfied with both the price and customer service. I found Vision World by doing a Google search and decided to try it out based upon their excellent reviews.I am very happy with the choice I made. My husband and I came in with prescriptions from our ophthalmologist. As it turns out, both of our prescriptions were off. Although the glasses were made, Bruce worked with us to resolve the problem. We both had our eyes re-examined by Dr. Friedman, at Vision World and the issue was corrected. We will now be going to Dr. Friedman for future vision exams.In addition, Bruce has a large selection of frames at many different price ranges and was able to work within our budget. I was very satisfied with Vision World and highly recommend going there.

Had my glasses made here just before the Pandemic lockdown. The doctor here did a better job on the prescription than my ophthalmologist! This is the best vision Ive ever had from a pair of glasses in the decades Ive worn glasses.

This is a terrific local business that gives back to the community. The staff is extremely helpful and patient they make sure you are comfortable and will never pressure you. They take all different insurances and will be there for you long after you get your glasses and contacts.
The Vision World staff is just about the most accommodating and caring I have encountered. I have been having difficulty adjusting after eye surgery and they have gone to extremes to help me work out my issues. Very bad first experience and will be my last. Total rip off of a store. Called and asked how much they charge to replace nose pads, they told me its free unless they need to special order. I went, they replaced it and charge me $10... And started making excuses that they ordered those and theres shipping charge. You did not special order those for me!!! I dont care about the charge, what bothers me is they could have at least told me upfront the cost before they do the fix. Dishonest store and I do not recommend.

2022-03-28One of the best customer experiences my wife and I have ever had! Bruce and the team was such a pleasure to work with. In fact, we went to a Vision World at a different location, and while the staff was nice over there, they werent nearly as invested in finding the best possible glasses for my wife. She raved that the staff wanted her to absolutely love her glasses and had her try on as many glasses as possible to find the exact right fit. Beyond being dedicated to ensuring the best fit, there was a personable and family-first approach that made you feel like you were meeting an old friend. We are now sold as loyal customers!

2022-02-27Highly Recommend! What a great experience. All smiles as soon as I walked in. I was helped by the lovely Nicole, she made picking new glasses a very easy and fun experience. I also had the pleasure to meet the owners, and they are extremely cool and right on the level, none of the looking down on you stuff, and mind you Im covered in tattoos I get it alot, but not here, I felt at home. The optometrist was super cool too, had way more knowledge and experience than any other one Ive been to, blew my mind honestly. Also better selection and prices than anyone around. This is my new spot.

2022-04-21The doctor and staff at Vision World are fabulous. I went in for a standard eye exam. The exam was thorough and complete. All my questions were answered. I was introduced to contacts after many years of wanting them yet advised my prescription was complicated by other doctors. They staff was patient instructing me on the contacts use and care. They sent me home with several trial pairs. I highly recommend Vision World.

2022-02-22Have been going here almost exclusively since I was a kid. They have always been professional to me, from the owner to the staff behind the counter. Theyve never tried to push designer brands onto me, but their prices are so fair I always end up getting a nice pair of ray-bans or something similar.They are kind people, every time I need a repair they dont even charge me. Best place to buy glasses in nassau county, Lifelong customer.

2022-04-29Honestly a real local Optician who acts like one! Everyone in there is professional and they take heir time helping you. I will be going back for myself (I went with other family members) so the review will get edited once I get a better feel for the place.Update: So I went there for my first visit (not for a family member like previous visits) and of course I needed to have my eyes checked. The optometrist saw me in under 5 minutes. The routine started off fine.As I asked a question or two his behavior became what I can only describe as hostile. Figuring everyone has an off day, I brushed it off. Nopes, this man became increasingly agitated when I was unable to answer questions. Its my first time in my life Ive ever needed anything more than sunglasses. I tried to explain this but it apparently infuriated him more. Eventuality I was accosted multiple times. Being the person I am and knowing I am in his world I went along with it.Toward the end I asked if I may close the door to ask a question. He agreed. When I asked do you find it appropriate to berate and speak to customers in a demeaning manner or is there something... he interrupted me and yelled open that door! You cant imprison me to question me! Who do you think I am? .So I figured this person is a rare type that believes that the doctor title entitles them to look down on people. So I left the exam room. I did voice my concerns to the staff, but this failed to gain the attention of the owner. I actuality think as the owner looked on (i only discovered who the owner was after dinner online searching, but i do recall how they looked), he probably felt I may have been the source of the disruption and that affected the overall service I received. This is disturbing as I would think the owner would try to help out. No, no such thing here.Still I stand by my previous review but I will certainly refuse to see that optometrist if I needed to see one. One bad apple wont remove a star, but I would like to know why the hostility from this optometrist and lack of action by the owner.
