Hi All/I can only say as a customer of Mary Ann Vitale for almost 15+ years I have seen this place GO WAY WAY down hill! Firstly the year that Elder Mrs. Vitale stopped doing taxes, the girl taking appointments gave me one with her daughter- Ginny. When I arrived for my appointment she basically brushed me off- had a attitude, and the personable service Mary Ann provided was gone! She (Ginny) shoved me to John- who cost me $$$ thousands of dollars due to his incompetence! Deductions that I was entitled too where omitted, and I called/ called with no return phone call. I ended up bringing my return to a CPA who straightened the mess out!I’ll only say that it’s too bad that Mary Ann didn’t pass down her people skills, empathy, dedication to her two children. With no offense I find the way the office is run now- very very poorly. Friends of mine tell me that Ginny/ others work in there, and put a screen up/ refuse to answer phone calls, and if you don’t have a appointment and attempt to drop things off you are basically brushed off! Last year what John did was a absolute outrage! Very sad! If you want to keep an office open, hire competent people to run / help you with your business. Both children should be ashamed of themselves- they are both a disgrace to Mary Ann’s work ethic and what she stood for - for many years!Disappointed former client!!

Went to John 6 years ago on the recommendation of several other of his clients. My husbands work travel had greatly increased and we needed help navigating the tax code for deductions by a professional. This year we received an IRS notice of audit for the prior 2 years, but we were not nervous because we had a professional do our taxes. I called the office a documented 19 times before John accidentally answered the phone one day. No apology for not returning any of my calls and when I restated to him what was going on (I had left 18 detailed messages) he told me to let him do some digging and hed call me back to discuss next steps. That NEVER happened. I repeatedly called back to no avail. This office hung us out to dry with the IRS when we needed them most. We went to them to guide us on what deductions were and were not applicable, paid them for the service year after year and in the end they made HUGE mistakes on a deduction that was not applicable to my husbands travel situation and it cost us THOUSANDS. Very disappointed with our treatment and the lack of concern or assistance in dealing with a very daunting IRS Federal Office Audit. I would highly recommend against ever going here and putting your faith in these folks.
