What a wonderful, cozy, sweet, homey, cute place. The food is amazing, tastes original Italian, very delicious! None of that heavy creamy sauces. Just perfect portions, perfect presentation and variety. The owner is such a gentleman, a highly devoted, hands on, friendly, service oriented man. The servers have actually interest in the customers needs and they have excellence in hospitality mindset. One can come here alone to dine, sit at the bar, enjoy the warm hospitality. I am hooked now. Will make this my top 5 priority dining, socializing spot!
Amazing dinner experience! The atmosphere at the restaurant was convivial and absolutely not pretentious. It was a Monday night and we got seated quickly. Service was timely, cordial, and accurate. The food menu and drink selection is varied but concise: quality over quantity. We shared an Arancino as a started (sfizi in their menu) and then ordered a pizza each. The choice between pizza or pasta was tough... No regrets: Pizza was divine. As I saw other orders passing by, I couldnt miss the big pasta portions served in cooking pans. Well... looks like I have a reason to come back to try it! SAVE ROOM FOR DESSERT! I need the capital letters here, because their desserts are so so so good and you should absolutely try the Nutella Tiramisu 😋 trust me on this!
We found this place casually and we loved it. My husband got psta bolognesa and he really enjoyed it. I got a gin tonic and a salad of watermelon, cheese, mint and poppy seeds that was amazing. It was a real fresh option for a summer lunch. I will go back again and ask for the same salad. The service was very good and they were friendly. We got a tiramisu at the end and was superb!!! If you are close to this place, you should give it a try, wont dissapoint you.
Really nice and cozy Italian place. If you go there you would understand why they don’t take reservations. The food was amazing. They have some good Italian and german beers on the menu with a great wine selection. They have a full bar with great cocktails. Definitely try their specials.. they are amazing. Starting from Appetizers to deserts everything was just perfect. Kudos to their staff for making us feel so welcomed and making it a night to remember.Thank you for such a great experience.
Pretty good Italian food, a little on the heavy side. They wont add any additional protein to their dishes probably for authenticity, but they also have a salmon avocado tartar, which as we all know is indigenous to Italy 😅. All jokes aside, its still a really good app, and the charred octopus app is another banger. Loved the gorgonzola gnocchi, although a little more black pepper really helps cut through the cheese. You could probably split most of the mains in half. They are very generous in their main course portions .Very fun bathroom that has like a Duolingo for Italian audio playing.
Yesterday, I celebrated my husband becoming a US citizen at Vite. Let me tell you, the food and service were magnificent. Carmelo and Pino did an excellent job, and the servants were spectacular too. I had salmon with green beans, while others had steak with potatoes and spinach, and some had bolognese. In addition, we had salad and small bowls of eggplant parmigiana. For dessert, we had tiramisu and coffee. Delicious, Delicious, and Delicious. I must add the owner (sorry, I forgot the owners name) stopped by our table several times to ensure that everything was great, and it was. So again, thank you to the owner, Carmelo, Pino, and the servers for making yesterday a memorable and enjoyable evening for my husband. I cant recommend this place enough if you want good quality tasting food. You can bet your bottom dollar that we will return soon. Excellent!
I’d give them 5 starts for their food because it’s hands down the best pasta bolognese i’ve ever had! However, I felt like their were understaffed and that kinda made service a little confused. We had finished and waited a while until someone realized and got us our check.
I love this place, one of my favorite Italian restaurants in queens, I go there at least once a week, love their food specials, their pasta is always good, any pasta you will get from the menu you will definitely like, good sea food as well, and you must try their Bufala pizza. Sometimes they might exaggerate with the prices with certain special dishes like they charged $30 for 4 pieces of ravioli, but there are many items in the menu that go for reasonable prices. Very friendly owner who welcomes you and make you feel at home, good service and good selection of Italian and French wine, good atmosphere not too loud not too quiet, good for dates, there is inside and outside seating, outside is preferable by customers in summer time. Highly recommend
Vite is amazing. The food is phenomenal and inexpensive compared to most Italian restaurants in the city. Your surrounded by plants and vegetables growing all around adding to the ambiance. The prosciutto arugula pizza and gnocchi are two of the most popular dishes seen below. The food, wine and relaxing mood made for a perfect night!
Vite Vinosteria is an amazing and authentic Italian restaurant in Astoria, probably the best.I had a chance to spend some time with Pino, one of the owners, that is a wonderful person that knows how to treat clients. Very welcoming and funny. The food is delicious and fresh. The place takes you back to Italy and don’t forget to check out the restroom to get some Italian lessons.Must go, you won’t be disappointed!!!
Authentic italian food with a great and knowledgeable staff. Loved the flavor and the Price was very good for the area. The chef made a few recommendeations which was great. hIt was not crowded when I visited, i dont about the weekends. The manager welcomed us at the door. Will def comeback.
Im not a huge fan of italian food, but my family is. We all enjoyed a wonderful time here. It was a late Sunday afternoon so the place was not packed but the brunch menu was still available. The pasta were truly delicious, and the bread basket was great. We had the tiramisu and a strudel wich were a delicious accompaniment to their coffee choices. All in all, I would recommend the place for their professional staff, ambience and good food!
This place is pretty popular, but you can wait at the bar with some limoncello or wines while waiting for your table. Good has great flavor, especially the octopus. Amazing prosciutto. Great pastas. We also tried the more unconventional duck ravioli. Definitely worth a try sur to the uniqueness, though a bit sweet for my taste.Would come here again.
Reviews are about a true, real, no fake experience, you guys have seen my reviews. The place is absolutely 5 Stars! The stuff, the food is marvelous! One small inconvenient is finding parking...but how many times have we gone to a restaurant that offers valet parking, and we tell ourselves I couldve made that meal myself, and wouldve saved time and money... So yes, dont let the parking prevent you from having such a wonderful time as I just had with my family. 💯 worth the drive from New Jersey. I think Im going back again for some more. This joint has it all, right in the heart of Astoria, Queens NY
Brunch is its saving grace. Dinner & the wine list need a lot of improvement. I went for brunch and really enjoyed it, but when I took my husband and daughter back for dinner it was like I was in a different restaurant. Very disappointing selection and quality. The wine list is horrible.
Had a date night with my sister in-law here. Considering it was a crazy rainy Friday evening , I found parking lol. Very cozy and the food was delicious. First time here for me. For starters, we had the Polpette Di manzo Kobe ,italian for meatballs and tomato sauce. It was very tender and the sauce !! Wow! Just went perfectly. (Sorry no pics, we were hungry)lol. For Dinner, I had the Ravioli al Limone (Ravioli filled with ricotta cheese with a zesty lemon flavor ) and she had the Gnocchi di Patate (potato gnocchi, asparagus, tomatoes mixed with pesto sauce). It wasn’t tooo heavy nor extremely light. It was the perfect amount to get you full. Lastly we had Dessert, my favorite part of any outings. For dessert we had the Torta Della Nonnative ( Tart with vanilla custard and ricotta cheese with pistachio gelato). Yum! Everything was deliciously prepared and can you believe they make everything fresh. Definitely recommend for either a romantic date or even a group outing if you’re in the mood for Italian home cooked meal. I personally loved it.
Vite is my wife and I’s favorite restaurant (and, as there is so much good food in Astoria, that is really saying something). The food is amazing and everyone who works there is fantastic. It is so special to us that we had our wedding reception there and the guests were blown away by the food and service. We cannot say enough good things about Vite and we hope that anyone who reads this review goes there.
Food was bland, pasta tasted old and not fresh. Really disappointing given the prices and good reviews. Service was also not great or attentive. We were told our entrees would take longer because we didnt order appetizers which felt like a cheap gimmick to get us to order more food. Unfortunately I will not be going back.
Amazing date spot. The service was wonderful even tho it was Saturday evening and packed! Pizza was great and the bolognese pasta was delicious but the real MVP was our server. He was so friendly and apologetic there was a wait on our food, even tho we didn’t feel like we were waiting long at all! Highly recommend, their outdoor dining is pretty large also
My favorite Italian restaurant in Astoria, possibly in the city. Well-executed, flavorful pasta dishes, perfect gnocchi, perfect meatballs, great salads. Yet to try the pizza but Im sure its fantastic. I really love the ambience of the place. Prices are reasonable given the quality of the dishes. Staff is awesome and friendly, and the owner seems like a really nice guy. Dont skip the tiramisu here-- it is wonderful.
Completely delightful experience! Went on a rainy Sunday evening and the staff were all in a good mood. We had excellent service, excellent wine (I recommend the Montepulciano dAbruzzo), insulata de vite, burrata, the steak, and the gnocchi air funghi. Will definitely go again
Arrived around the time brunch was over but was able to view both menus. I selected a red wine sangria which was fantastic to start. The sangria came out fast and was delicious.By yhe time the drinks came out I was ready to order. I chose the meatballs, as well as shrimp in a delicious wine sauce with toasted ciabatta. Both appetizers were amazing, the shrimp was by far the better choice. My entree was the linguini with clams, it wasnt as exciting as either of the appetizers but it tasted alright maybe some salt pepper would of gave it the extra pep I was looking for.All in all I will be back! I was eyeing the squid ink pasta which came with a bunch of seafood but that definitely seems like a one app kind of meal.
This place is amazing!!! Best pasta ever! Our server Jorge provided us with great service! Leon made sure our table was clean, and made sure we’re not missing anything, with a smile on his face. We had the pleasure to meet the chef, as well! Definitely coming back! ❤️
Just came for dinner tonight with my girl and another couple and it was so amazing. The bartender Jen was delightful then we sat down and had a wonderful meal. I met the owner who was just a cool Italian dude and he hooked it up. The food was fantastic we will be back. 10/10
Had an incredible date night with my girlfriend at Vite Vinosteria. The staff is friendly, attentive, and makes you feel like family; the food and drinks were outstanding; and the atmosphere is rustic and romantic. Highly recommend for a classy night out. The prices are a bit higher that our usual dinner nights, but for a special occasion Vite hits the spot.
I met some friends for dinner here on a Wednesday and wasnt thrilled about the place. The decor and atmosphere were great and the service was prompt. We started with the rice ball filled with short rib, and for dinner ordered the ravioli in lemon sauce, the pizza with mushrooms, the pappardelle with bolognese, and a seafood risotto. While the food was good it wasnt stellar.Towards the end it felt like we were being rushed out of the restaurant even though the place wasnt full. They came to take plates that still have a few bites left (fork in hand) and glasses with a few sips. A few times we had to say, Im not finished with that We didnt want dessert and the check was immediately brought to us. We ended up at a bar around the corner to finish our conversation. Probably wont come back here not will I recommend this place.
The pasta was a bit overpriced but was delicious. They have gluten free pasta that they can swap out for certain dishes. Our waiter was attentive and helpful. My only complaint is that I came here during a nice day and I wanted to sit outside. While waiting for our meal, a couple of smokers came (who were not eating at the restaurant) and stood by the patio and started to smoke. I have terrible asthma and had to move inside. Maybe put up no smoking signs around the patio? It was such a shame to have to move inside on such a nice day. The garden they have on the patio is so cute and the smoke ruined the experience.
My boyfriend and I had a great experience here! Great food and service!! What topped off our evening here was the wonderful Martina behind the bar. Such a friendly girl who was so welcoming and a great worker!! Her knowledge of wines and food was truly exceptional. She really made the whole experience that much better! We will definitely be back soon!!
What sets this place apart is its attention to detail. Good pasta and good sauce is one thing, but the pasta was perfectly cooked, and the sauce is perfectly seasoned. you can tell they didnt put too much heat in the pan, or over season. The chef is very strategic, and anytime I am in the Astoria, I look forward to going. I will say the restaurant can be a little chilly in the winter, and a little hot in the summer.
Service... these guys are super personal and arent scared to ask you to be their personal taste testers for new things on their menus! The ribbon pasta bolognese was sensational. A perfect mix of tomatoes and cream! The noodles absolutely make the dish. I have 0 complaints. Its an old timey joint with a young crowd. Id come back for sure!
This restaurant is a lovely place for a date. Their menu, while not as extensive as other Italian eateries, does a great job at what it offers. I had the meatballs as an appetizer and the kale walnut and pear salad for an entree. It was superb. One interesting note is that the bathroom offers an audio background in an introduction to Italian.
This is one of my favorite Italian Restaurants in Queens. Love the athmosphere and service. They always make e feel so special, like a rock start with their attentiveness and jokes. The owner is hilarious and always making sure Im taken care of. The food is delicious! is like being in Italy away from Italy. Thank you!!
Went to Vite with family for the first time last night. Well, its just plain wonderful. Every dish was delicious. Try the appetizer made with whipped cod over polenta. Light, fluffy, flavorful cod over crisp , earthy polenta. Oh my gosh, Its magnificent. Also amazing was ravioli filled with duck meat, flavored with orange and chocolate. The first bite sends you to some sort of gastronomic heaven. The atmosphere is bustling while also being cozy and friendly. The service was professional and courteous. Cant wait to go back.
This place was adorable and the food was really good. We sat at a window table and loved it. The staff was super helpful and the wine list is different and the selections we had were really great. All the appetizers and whole wheat cavatelli were fantastic. So was the popcorn dessert we had. Well definitely be back.
Went there twice. First time the rice was uncooked in the paella special. Decided to give it another chance due to the good reviews in yelp and thinking this could have been an isolated incident. The second time there was so much salt in both mine and my wifes pasta that you could not eat it. I will definitely not be going back.
Delicious food at Vite Vinosteria Astoria. Due to Covid-19, they have outdoor seating. Most of the tables are covered but there are a few that are in the open sky and good luck if it rains. Their food is delicious. We had Tagliatelle al Nero di Seppia, Tartufata Pizze and a few drinks. That was simply delicious. 5 Stars and will definately come back! The service was great!
I wanted to state that the owner Pino replied to my disappointing experience/review of the restaurant caused by staff that acted incorrectly. He apologized and offered to make things right and correct these unfortunate situations in the future. He was a gentleman and I respect him for stepping up to the plate. They have won me over once again! Food and wine are the best here.I once again recommend.
Not the biggest place but very accommodating for larger parties when it came to sorting the reservation prior and then making sure the whole group was taken care of the night of (a few vegan friends, a few fashionably late friends, etc). Fantastic service staff all around. The entire group enjoyed their main dishes and the delicious appetizers that were chosen by the owner for the table. Will definitely be going back for more of that lamb ragu.
This is my favorite restaurant in the area. The service is always very good and the food, delicious. The owner himself often works the floor, sometimes stopping by for conversation because he remembers his customers. Classic Italian vibe, with authentic Italian food. Great for dates and groups.
Vite and its piccolo cugino on Broadway at Crescent are wonderful places to really enjoy some good food and good wine. They are a place to enjoy the person youre sharing a meal with where its comfortable to sit and talk, sip your wine and savor every bite. The homemade pasta is wonderful and the Risotto is a rare treat. Go.
A very nice intimate place for dinner. The pizza is flavorful and the ingredients are fresh. The pasta took me back to my time living in Italy. The tortelloni was both simple but outstanding. The lamb ragu reminded me exactly of a bolognese I used to get at the Central Market of Firenze
Unfortunately I did not have a good experience here. I’ve heard it’s a really good restaurant and have typically seen a large crowd here so decided I must try. The service was pretty awful as my waiter was difficult to find and seemed really stressed out or aggregated. On top of that, my pizza came out cold :( wouldn’t go back.
Enviroment is one of the best in Astoria, cozy, when you sit there do t want to leave. Tables outdoors with beautiful plants around. Decoration rustic and now lets talk about the amazing service and food! Food is super delicious, great quality, great portions and prices are decent for the amount and quality that you get. Owners are vvvvvery attentive and they welcome you always with a smile on their face, they make you feel super confortable and they make sure you get an excellent service. I love that place i really recomend you people. Everything is good about this place !!! ❤️❤️
Love love love! We eat at Vite regularly and have always been very happy. Their food is delicious, the staff are extremely friendly, and the prices are not bad at all.Recommend:House wineBread with Vites spicy olive oilEggplant Parmesan and/or burrataRe di parma pizza or linguine bologneseHomemade limoncello
I went there and one of the managers or the owner this is how he called himself. He was out of his mind ! I asked for something he went to my table he “assumed “ I was Hispanic and he start talking to me in Spanish and making in-discriminatory racist comments . He point me with his finger then he started attacking Asian , telling me are you Asian ? They always come here asking for different food . He walked away of the table then he turn back telling me “ don’t try to change my menu “ I think he was just wasted drunk . I have to leave the place and I didn’t have a chance to eat .I feel so indiscriminate and he really indiscriminate Asian as well.
Sorry wont come back again. Got here at 7pm and literally still waiting to leave and its 1025pm probabaly wont be out untill 1040. We had one to two drinks and one entree. Food took to order, forever to get here, and forever to pay. Total time eating and drinking was 35 min.

2022-07-10Nice location..lively area..parking is not so hard (Sunday). The restaurant was nice and cozy/romantic not amazing but above average. Clean and welcoming. Staff is wonderful and friendly and the service too.Food we ordered was delicious but a little pricier than normal. It tasted really good. We had cocktails which was Uuuugghhhhh!Skip the cocktails.Overall a pleasant experience. We had two dishes 28.95 and 31.95 and two cocktails 14.95 each + gratuity =$115.00 (pricey for two people)..no sides were served just bread. My average dinner bill would be around 70$.

2022-04-09Delicious Italian food and great service. The owner sits you as you come in since they dont take reservations. He is very warm and even in a busy Friday night you dont have to wait more than the time it takes you to have a drink at the bar. Also, you can feel the good quality of ingredients for their food as everything is very tasteful and fresh. The presentation of the plates is very creative and the portions are good too.

2022-02-08Came here during Restaurant week on a Thursday evening.I really enjoyed the burrata appetizer, it was delicious, so was the bread pudding! Rigatoni al pesto was not my favorite, just a bit too oily and al dente to my taste. My friend ordered salmon tarte and branzino filet, both were good. The restaurant was extremely busy, all tables were occupied and it felt too cramped inside. Although the service was okay, I was surprised to see that on top of 20% service fee that was already charged as part of the restaurant week, there was another note asking for a cash tip, a surgare for a credit card payment, and a receipt with extra tip option. What initially was supposed to be an affordable meal ended up being a regular priced dinner in NYC..

2022-06-11So far one of the best Italian restaurant I’ve been to in Queens. All the dishes we ordered was good choice. Even my mom who doesn’t eat other type of food enjoyed this place . Definitely try this place if you are in the area.

2022-02-14My friend and I wanted to grab italian food but a location that wasn’t deemed too romantic. We came across VITE Vinosteria in Astoria, Queens. What an absolute delight. Service extremely attentive. Decor is beautiful besides being tightly squeezed with nosy patrons who often pierced their eyes on our food or attempted to listen to our conversation. The food is delicious. The food is served in a small frying pan which is absolutely clean and free of markings and stains of any kind. The drinks are good. Quality drinksIf you don’t speak italian; well not a problem, just go to the bathroom for some lessons. The bathrooms is equipped with audio that teaches you italian words or sayings. Depends how long you’re in the bathroom you can learn a few words. Lol. Please be cognizant that there is only one bathroom to this location.Pricing was fair and comfortable for dinner for two. Highly recommend to check out this lovely italian eatery in Astoria.

2021-11-20Amazing Italian restaurant. We’ve arrived at Vite about 7:15 pm, it was our luck to get there before packed. After spending time reading menu, we decided to go with 1 special, 1 paste, and 1 pizze but still couldn’t decide which one to go with because everything looks so delicious!!!! So we asked server and we went with his recommendations.First a special pork belly on skewer, 6 skewers for $19.95. It was very good, the soft and tender of grilled pork belly with grape sauce was very delicious. Even though it’s called Grape sauce but it’s not sour at all. It’s original flavor from Italy. 9/10 (I’m not. If fan of pork belly but it’s very very good.Second were tortellini di zucca homemade pasta, I called it as Italian dumpling (lol) with creamy pumpkin sauce. First bite, OMG!!! Second, still omg. I have to admit this dish was very good. The inner filler of pasta has a sour flavor which helped accommodate the heavy creamy sauce, made it not too heavy to finish. 8/10Last was Pizze; Tartufata; zucchini, mushroom, truffle topped of the thin and crispy pizza NY style. Ex-cel-Lent-o! Excellent in Italian accent lmao!!! Apparently pizza was a best last dish to call it a night and you won’t be regret this. 8/10Overall, Vite Vinosteria is a great Italian restaurant. I’m not a big fan of cheese, creamy, or even Italian soccer! But love this place.Ps. Wanna learn Italian? Don’t forget to use the bathroom there.Tips: arrive there before 7:30 pm, especially if you are big party. otherwise you might ended up waiting for table like 45 mins lol

2021-09-20Really cute spot with some of the best Italian food Ive had in Astoria. Absolutely everything was perfect. Service was fast and friendly. Try to tip in cash if you can, but you should be doing that everywhere.

2022-05-10Okay so… if want authentic Italian with an Italian host who makes you feel at home and like part of the famiglia, Vite is the place. Chef Rizzo is a genius. Took my Sicilian aunt here and she loved it. Pino and her talked like old friends from the old country. Authentic Italian dishes with that Old Country feel Im the heart of Astoria!

2021-08-20Delicious food that is portioned perfectly, and arrives promptly. Attentive, and friendly staff. Naturally, this restaurant offers carefully selected wine that truly showcases their fantastic attention to detail with their menu in mind.
