The queue system here is terrible. This was our first time here (We arrived around 2:30pm on a Saturday). You have the option to get a 2hr pass ($44) or all day pass ($64). We opted for the 2 hr passes as we had dinner plans. They place a wrist band on you that has a scannable QR code that youre supposed to use to sign up for the queue for any VR experience you see (of which theres maybe 20). They make it very clear that youre not to scan your wrist band at more than one experience at a time (so you cant be in multiple queues). Unfortunately the top three or four attractions had an hour wait or more, so we didnt add ourselves to those queues. Many stations looked abandoned as if the equipment wasnt working, but we later found out that most of those experiences were up and running, just with only one employee who would handle multiple stations, so the station looked abandoned. We also later learned that the more popular attractions (with the one hour waits) were utilizing a different queue system. You simply gave them your name instead of scanning your wrist band. This made it easier to sign up and then enjoy other stations in the meantime. Unfortunately the wait times are also guesses at best as equipment and software sometimes needs restarting, and people arent within earshot of when their name is called - there is no site wide paging system - If youre in the 2nd floor lounge, there is no way to know that your name is being called in the basement, which leads to people being bumped. It really was a mess. In our two hours, we experienced about 7 games total. Most of the games were fun, but there was so much wait time and general confusion that it was more annoying than anything. We missed the racing game as the employee there didnt tell us that we could add our names to the list then still get into other queues. By the time we came back to add our name the line was over 90 minutes and the employee told us that meant the queue was effectively closed. Overall we werent impressed. Im not sure we would go back again. If we do, I would suggest mid week and to splurge for an all day pass so that we get to try everything.
Went on a date and had a genuine blast. The staff on the top floor were genuinely great and high energy. They felt like friends, themselves. To be very fair, the staff that were in the bottom floor that day were low energy and looked a little miserable. Work burnout is a thing so I don’t judge the low energy, but I do at least point it out.One staff member that made the experience really welcoming and fun was Amaka. She is so funny and she even went out of her way to make sure we had a great time. There were other staff members that made the experience really fun but I don’t remember their names, so sorry I can’t name them all.
This could have been a cool place but the two hour pass is not worth the price because the wait to actually play the games takes up more than half the time. Even if you find a game without a line, you need to wait for a staff member to hook you up to the game and tell you how to play, and most of the time they are occupied. Overall, it just isnt worth it, but it definitely has potential.
My friends and I really enjoyed this place. There are so many different games to choose from and all of them were very interesting. They accommodated us so well when we missed our time due to train issues they made sure we were well taken care of and that everyone had a great time 10/10 recommended!!!!
Its a nice spot to change things up. Games are fun and place is clean. The issue I had was that some of the staffs were annoyed when you asked them a question about the game. After you was setup and started playing the game, Ive seen a couple of people lost saying hello asking for help and there was no staff around to help them to continue playing the game . I found myself figuring out a game myself. It felt like if you was a blind person asking for help moving left to right with no answer. Other than that; its cool. The game I enjoyed was Zombie apocalypse because it was a 4 player game and the hire up building walk but its a one time experience. I wont do it again!
What a great place to have fun in this digital world! We went there yesterday for the 9th birthday of my son and the kids had a blast. The staff is super accommodating and helpful, special kudos to Fizz who really made the whole experience special. Highly recommend the Zombie experience, you can play it up to 4 people so great if with a group.
I brought my gf here on her birthday and it was the most fun I’ve seen her have. It was my second time here and it was just as amazing as the first! The staff is so accommodating, answers all of your questions and concerns and really love their job!!! I want to shine a bright light on Nadeem (sorry if I’m spelling your name wrong😩) and Tony for being the best hostess for the games that we played! Y’all energy and excitement makes the experience even better! I can’t wait to be back and look forward to some new virtual games as well!!
The price was expensive, big attractions was down, 2 of the games we played were glitching. The staff was very helpful and did all they could, to try and reset, then recommended playing a game that wasnt even interesting. Some games were hard to navigate. If it was cheaper to play, then I wouldnt have been as disappointed.
Beautiful place but the game variety was meh. I have a Meta Quest 2 and my games are way better then what they offer…I brought my friend here so he could try it out but he wasn’t really interested from all the games we played and i know my games are way better. So if your looking to try it just don’t…not worth the money honestly .
Terrible system, they make you pay full price just to take a kid and not participate, even though they give wristbands to ticket holders. It was close to $200 for all 4 of us to get in just for 1 child to play, and the games were pretty poor quality compared to other VR places he’s been so he wasn’t even interested and we left after 30 minutes. The staff were pretty rude too, even to the child.
Would not recommend. Came 5 minutes minutes after the start time and earnestly waited 10-30 mins at an over crowded under staffed floor. Maybe go on an off time? Saturday isnt the day. Not enough VR headsets to person ratio. Not to recommend no drinks were being served. 👎🏿
VR world was a great experience, with kind staff and a wonderful environment. There are both multiplayer and singleplayer games where you can utilize a VR headset, controllers, and in some cases even more (such as gun-controllers and wheels) to play the game and have fun! My only dislike is the wait times, though its just like being at an amusement park- you cant go right away, though the wait times are much less then that of an amusement park. They have a system where you can scan your wristband to be scheduled as the next in line for that game with made things njvh easier. I highly enjoyed my time here, and reccomend it to everyone! 🥽🎮
Well, where do i start? I guess the good first - The games are pretty cool. They have a couple of different games, from car, to zombies, boxing, 1v1 shooter, and a couple of more games. And they alcohol each vr station before anyone played.Lets got with the bad now -Game quality - i wasnt to impressed with the quality of the games, they seem a bit unrealistic or low quality. And like a third of stations where down.Wait time - the wait time for each games, were ridiculous (from 15min waits to over 45 min waits). And i had the 2 hour pass (only played 5 games). i think they need to find a better way for their queque for wait times (maybe a PA system). This is probably what made me the most disappointed about this place. ** ifyour coming here just queque yourself in every game so that you can be able to play the most if you have a 2 hour pass**The bar - wasnt even open. Had to buy a water from outside. The staff - honestly there were some guys that were helpful and friendly. But there were some there that would ignore you when you tried to get their attention and some where being overworked between 3 different VR stations, so it was tough to get on some games sometimes because they have to alcohol prep each station before some one plays. I think they need more staff.Overall - i believe this place could be better with a bit more staff, better morale, more VR stations open, better quality games, and a much better queque system or some better wait system(a PA system or app that would tell you when your ready to play the next game). Would love to give this place a higher rating but there must be some upgrades.
Our first time going was last night! We loved it so much that we came back this morning before our flight. Vibes were as chill as you want them or as lively as you make them. At first I was kinda timid but as I started playing the friendly competition started coming out. The ENTIRE staff is amazing! They explained everything needed to know and explained again when I was too retarded to understand! 🤣 Personnel were at every corner to help you and they have a great variety to games and short films. I really loved the 4 player zombie game. He loved Creed Rise to Glory and the single player zombie game. Yo Kevin, it was great to meet you and thank you so much for experience!!
Well if you like VR gaming or would like to experience it, try this place out!We came at 8:40pm and were told we missed an entire wave of people. The staff was very welcoming since the time we entered. One of them that wore a white shirt (different from the other workers) seemed a little stressed. A lot of game options. We paid 2 hrs for about $40 or so per person. I came for the FPS experience (not my first rodeo)... I came. I saw. I conquered.VR may make you sick. People react differently. If you want to try it, this place is worth it.-------------------------Tip:If you want to do the FPS games, they are on the 2nd floor which they close off at 10pm (an hour before the entire place closes).
Take a virtual step outside reality at this VR CenterOur first time going to New Flagship VR world, it was a date night when they were renovating and adding the bar. VR - world, is emerging technology with nightlife. We loved it so much that we came back when they reopened. It is truly for everyone, weather you enjoy gaming or not. VR world is not just gaming, it’s an art and there is so much go into creating such technology, it is truly an art. We saw group of girls just having drinks and having fun with girlfriends. No need for a guy, it’s a perfect girl’s night out, guys night or a hot date. The ENTIRE staff is amazing. They explained everything needed to know. Immerse yourself in a new dimension at NEW FLAGSHIP VR WORLD NYC.It’s a whole adventure. Fall Off a Building even in VR is freighting, heart-pounding, that was my favorite.New Flagship VR World in NYC, the biggest virtual reality experience in the country!
Probably the most coolest I have ever seen. We took a 2 hour pass ($39 per head) but 2 hour is not enough to explore this place.Pro tip:- Start with multiplayer games like F1 racing on first floor and Zombie game on second floor. These two activities do not count towards your 2 hours time. After these two games you can start single player games which count towards your 2 hours time.
So, this place had a lot of ups and downs, but mostly ups. So lets start with ups. Firstly, the area layout is great. There are two floors and a mezzanine filled with VR titles you can play. Unfortunately the mezzanine was closed for a private party for my visit, but I still had a vast selection to pick from. The queue system... Needs work honestly. My main issue is that you can only be queued into a single game at a time. This introduced a TON of wasted time as each session is roughly around 5 minutes or so, so if you want to play a game that has just 6 people ahead of you, you have to sit around for 20 minutes and wait. Meanwhile, there are other games that are free or have 1 person in the queue. I would LOVE to be able to go play that free game while in the queue for the game with 6 players waiting, but sadly once you scan your RFID wrist tag into another game, youre removed from any queue youre in. Thats just an inefficient system, and because of it I only ended up being able to play 3 short games in the 2 hours I was there. 3! I could have easily gotten 6 games under my belt if they allowed you to queue up for multiple titles. The second drawback is that they seem to have chosen the Rift for a majority of the VR setups, but only went with the 2 camera setup with each camera set up in an awful position. This introduced a ton of occlusion (loss of positional tracking) in the first game, Fruit Ninja VR, for my left controller. The Rift 2 camera setup works best if the two cameras are set up diagonally which understandably isnt feasible there, but placing both on the wall angled at the player is even worse. Too much occlusion, which ruined the experience. To make things worse, the headset is a bit uncomfortable, especially for glasses wearers. The HTC Vive on the other hand fits my big head and wide glasses perfectly, and has the added bonus of feeling much lighter on the head, which helps you get really immersed in the experience. Using the HTC Vive would easily be a far better solution for all the VR Stations.Pricing. The pricing would be reasonable if we were able to get in a decent amount of games. $40 gets you 2 hours of gameplay, $60 nets you gameplay for the entire day. Given how many games they have, and how many different things you can do in each game, Id say thats a fair price. But if youre there on a busy day, you will not get your moneys worth for the 2 hour plan. We were offered the option to pay the difference for the all day option after the 2 hours was up, which is awesome, but we declined since we arrived so late anyway. Didnt seem worth it.The VR Project Cars booth was also a bit of a mixed bag. Firstly, the setups were just... Odd. The racing seats were seated directly on the floor with a Logitech G29 attached to them. That made for a hell of time getting in and out of the seat. I dont understand why the seat isnt way higher, theres no reason you need to be sitting on the floor. My personal Vive setup has the seat at a normal height, so what gives, guys? Then the game and G29 setup was just unusual. They dont allow you to select your car, or the track or anything, so youre forced into what I believe was the Alpine A450. So there is no stick shift available, just paddle shifters. But then they mapped the clutch pedal to the brake, and the brake pedal to reverse. On a G29... A wheel with a million buttons and paddle shifters that you can shift into reverse with and use your throttle like a normal vehicle. The only upside to this was that this booth used the Vive and it was insanely comfortable. And everything was super clear, Project Cars is a very demanding gaming so running it in VR with that type of clarity is pretty good, and shows that they went with good machines for their VR setups (even though disappointly, a lot of them are prebuilts).I know it sounds like Im knocking the place but believe me I actually still had a good time. I just think there are a ton of improvements that can be made in order to make the experience even better.
Try to go today... was there since 1 45pm because it open at 2pm, couldnt enter because we did make a reservation. When someone finally explained to the remaining people walk ins are available but have to wait 1:30 (around 4pm we can enter) No thanks because a have a minor and the web explained clearly no minor after 5pm. The web doesnt say to buy tickets in advance or make reservations only say buy tickets online or walks in available. Anyways!!
Took my two kids, 10 and 12. Got 3, 6 hour passes, $180. The staff was fine, dont understand why reviewers say they were unhelpful, dont know what that means. It was organized and the staff was fine. The super duper flight sim was broken and unavailable, and that was disappointing to me, hence the 4 star review. (I will be back alone when they get that baby fixed... ;-)). After 5 1/2 hours I was VRrd out and we left. The kids had an amazing time and thanked me profusely for two days for taking them! That alone was worth the price of admission. Best VR experience for me? Walk the plank, and the Haunted House simulation. VR is amazing, and it is the future, but the technology is not quite there yet for a home system. I think the next generation VR equipment will be the time to get the home system.
This experience is life changing. The future is here and it will boggle your mind to walk 50 stories over a plank above NY City, or slalom down a dangerous ski slope. It feels so real! This is the best place to visit in NYC. And there is something for every age and every level of gaming experience. Prices are very fair. The staff is plentiful, informative, positive and patient. I could have spent another 2 days there. Id you want to have an experience you will never forget, do go to VR World nestled under the Empire State Building. It is awesome!
What an amazing place!! We came here for the beat saber competition last night and the place is just beautiful. There are so many stations to play VR and there are many employees to help get you the best experience. There are all day passes and 2 hour passes you can choose from. They have a lot of virtual reality options to choose from to try. I absolutely want to come back and try the plank experience as well as an Ayahuasca experience which sounds amazing. There are bathrooms a few floors up and they have those awesome looking bowl sinks. The location is great, there are a lot of pizza options around as well as free parking on some streets after 6.
Greeted with hey guys. Welcome to vr world.Starting from the entrance, the door looks out of place with its neon light and hip modern design. You will be given a badge and mask after giving up $40 entrance fee. First stop should always be by the window but it more fun if you or your friend is afraid of height.Rest of the stops are all fun but definitely try the cart racing. After 2 to 3 hour, you should be tired and maybe a bit sick from flying. You can stop for a drink at their bar. Price is like every other bar.
My advice is to come here during the week. A Monday or Tuesday is best as this would potentially get busier later on. We went on a Monday after work and there wasn’t many inside that would require a long wait to try the racecar vr game or the zombie game. Majority of the workers by the vr games look bored and tired. Very low energy. I would recommend the two hour pass. With little people in the building, we got to explore a lot of the games. One bad thing is that the ac in this place is low so it only feels semi cool not the best. Other than that enjoy the two hours. They fly really fast after like six games.
I recently visited the new location at 8 E 34th St. with a couple friends. It completely blew me away. The space has beautiful lighting and the revamped bar was quite impressive. I really enjoyed the specialty cocktails. We played multiplayer games and other experiences for several hours. My favorite was the flight simulator experience! The hypercube was at the center of the store and was certainly eye catching. I will definitely be back soon !!!
A place definitely worth visiting whether you are planning a fun date or with family. This place has bar after 5 pm so a good spot for fun date. They keep changing games every month so even of you visit every few months there would be something new. This technology is only going to get better and more realistic.Only wish they had those running omni direction VR gear where they put you in a treadmill looking gear that you can run on the same spot. That would have been next level.
Was not impressed by the place. They have HTC Vive which is nice but their game selection is not that great. Some of the games have bad resolution and kinda impart vertigo. Also, we had to wait for atleast 20-30 minutes for the games we wanted, maybe it was a rush day. It seemed like some of the staff didnt care too much to explain how the games work. After waiting for 20-30 minutes for each game, you would atleast hope to enjoy the game. Overall, not a good experience.
Such a neat place! Staff is friendly and lots to do! My husband and I brought our son and friend here for his 9th birthday and he loved it! We did the 2 hr pass, which was plenty of time for the boys. If you have a large group or video game fanatics the all day pass may be a better fit. There are games for everyone. Heads up if youre a person who gets nauseous easily or motion sickness, this may not be the place for you. Weekends get busy. We got there right as they opened on Saturday, and around 2:30 it started to fill up. Its best to purchase online a couple days before. Overall great experience!
Important!!... if its your first time visiting.. and you have limited experience with the equipment.. its an expensive introduction..(they should have an introduction price)..the combination of waiting for some stations,if its crowded, deciding which to use and listening/following the instructors is too time consuming..if on the other hand.. you have more experience with the controls at each station its FAR more bang for the buck.. I went with my son but found the downtime to be counterproductive and irritating... I can see where people would have a different opinion... I WOULDNT DO IT AGAIN for 2 hour pass price..
Great Place and very fun. Havent visited since 2 or 3 years and the place has changed a lot. It Still had the original games that are popular such as Superhot, Richies Plank Experience, and Project Cars 2. The Staff is very nice and down to earth. They will be willing to help easily if you are confused about something. The Environment is technologically advanced. The Games are excellent and fun to play. Tons of shooter games which are perfect for VR. Their Music Choice is good. The Music they will play have your head bopping and you will try hard not to bust out a move and dance. It has a club aesthetic. Lastly, They have an interesting place downstairs called The Vault. As I was told, the place used to be a bank so of course there is a Vault. The Vault is dark and bland as of now, but in the future a game will be placed. Its still a good place to relax for a bit and take a break after playing games. VR World really knows how to satisfy their customers and audience.
Ive been there twice. Theres a solid mix of multiplayer and solo games. I brought clients and its good because people can group together or disperse as they wish. The staff makes or breaks it though. Each experience is manned by a college aged youth who show various levels of enthusiastism or apathy.Tips:2 hours is enough: youll likely get bored, dissy or just tired of wearing a headset in that time.skip the moveo: its not worth it.Dont get there at early (noon): the second floor doesnt open until 1. Also some games arent fully set up.If you are bespectacled, bring contact instead
Definitely a surreal experience since its VR... loved the games as well specially the racing one which is a 4 player game ... the lower floor has 2 player games and the upper floor has 1 player game. We played the racing car, the snow fight, the laser tag. On the 2nd floor we played the boxing one, fruit ninja and few other ones as well. Overall a unique experience and we loved it.
The staff is very cool and the place is safe and fun but I had a very severe motion sickness that ruined my time and I had to leave after 15 minuets of trying some games 😞☹️ which I found is very common with VR and one of the major problem is limiting its spread widely but after talking to the manager he refunded some $$$ which was very nice 👍 of him. I recommend the 2 Hours ticket only as you will manage to try many games in no time.
I had so much fun like Im not a gamer or anything this was getting out of my comfort zone and in my competitive side. AMAKA staff was so sweet and was my hype lady the staff were all professional communicated instructions well and where readily available to support. I went without out my children 1st time now guilt for having so much fun has me going back in August.
They give you a mask to put on for sanitation purposes which hurts my ears. They have Google Earth VR but on the low-res Oculus Rift. They only have the high-res HTC Vive Pro for the racing car game and the running game. Job Simulator was down when I was there. You can pretty much just buy a High-end desktop computer, HTC Vive Pro, and a Samsung Gear VR and play all those games in your house.
Going here is a waste of time. No point in making a reservation online because they just let a bunch of people in. There are long wait lines to try VR games and the games shown are mostly demos or are free online. I know this because I also own multiple VR headsets. After waiting an hour for a game, you only play around 10 minutes.More cons:- buying the 2 hour pass is no different than the unlimited time. You wait so long to play a game that you dont even know how long youve been in there.- when leaving the place, you just feel scammed since you played a free demo game and spent majority of your time waiting.- worse is that there are no refunds.
My bf and I went and we had a good time. Some of the games are so popular you have to be wait-listed but the staff call out your name to let you know when its your turn. The bar was a nice touch for adults who like to drink. Overall the games and experience was fun and we would do it again.
We got the 2hr pass tickets & it was fun. The wait times are a bit long and we were instructed that we cant join more than one que, but as long as you kinda hang out different stations you can go.The racing game had the longest wait but it was great. VR worker Lauren was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING and made the game 10x more fun and was fostering the competition among my party
My son really enjoyed it. I did too. There games that are just silly but the Zombies, plank walk & control your car were fun. I go extremely sick at the car game & tapped out 15 secs in. So you have been warned. The staff were very friendly & helpful. I wish the space was a better set up . More inviting & better decorated. More like a game space.
I visited this past Sunday. I reserved at 1pm which was great as it wasnt so crowded. The workers enforced mask wearing and informed people to lift masks up. Only a few times we had to scan to wait for a game. The workers were very kind and respectful. I enjoyed myself. I took off one star because they wanted to charge $5.50 for water and the add on ride which is $15 wasnt worth it in my opinion. As far as the other games I really enjoyed it.
I took my 14 year old nephew, who is really into VE Gaming. I think this would be a fun place for anyone that never tried VR but for him he got bored pretty quickly. You can play each game for up to 8 min. He owns 2 or 3 games, which were probably the better games this place offered. We got the all day pass but in retrospect 2 hours was all that was needed. It wasn’t super busy, so that was nice, but that might be because we went on a Tuesday afternoon.
Honestly just fantastic! Id give more stars if I could. This was my first VR experience and Im very glad I picked VR World for it. We had the 1-3pm slot, which was perfect as we were able to play just after lunch and without a lot of people. We saw a lot more people waiting for the 3-5 pm slot when we left. The only game that we had to wait for was ping pong. While I agree with other reviews that the queuing system could be better, it really wasnt detrimental to our experience. There were plenty of games to choose from and every staff member was extremely helpful, energetic, and really seemed like they loved their jobs/VR games and wanted to make sure their customers felt comfortable, safe and had a good experience while playing each game. I cant speak to the amount of people they let in the building at once since our time slot didnt have that many people, but I will say that all staff members did take care to sanitize each headset after use. All in all, a very good experience and well worth the price!
It was a great experience. I plan on returning soon. I am glad I got the all day pass rather than the 2 hour pass. We got there around 1130 before the crowd and stayed until maybe 6pm(left to eat around 2). With the all day pass you can leave and return back which was good. The staff was very helpful and friendly.
Very fun experience. Well organized with e-queue system. The wait is a little long between rounds, for about 6 minutes of play time average wait was 15-20 min per game. 2 hours play yields about 4-6 game sessions, depending on how proactive you are with scanning bracelets. Super friendly staff. Minus 1 star for being a bit overcrowded for the queue times.
Very cool when youre interested and curious about VR.I hope they train their staff a bit more vr training and try not to use a lot of tech jargon. Luckily, I was able to dumb it down for my group of friends. One gentlemen that was managing the AZ zombie was a but abrasive, crude and lacked conversational/soft training skills. Thats probably how he just speaks and how he gave instructions expecting people to get it the first time around. Not how you introduce people to a difficult game. I would suggest two trainers... One for those about to game and those who are next in line get a quick introduction. I am happy to go into more details and provide examples if VR world wants to reach out. I just want them succeed because I think its a cool concept. Overall, a great experience and Im sure theyll work the kinks out.
Ive been here twice and both times were pretty fun. Game selection is consistent and doesnt change much. I like how the layout breaks up games by individual, collaborative, and docu. I also like how they give eye masks to keep things sanitary. I definitely recommend coming at an off hour if you can. Not only will you get the most play time for your money, you also will have a better likelihood of avoiding technical issues. When too many people are playing back to back, it doesnt give the machines a break, they overheat, and it sucks up game play time. For people that have glasses, try to wear contacts for the best experience. A lot of the headsets are built to accommodate glasses, but best not to chance it if you have the big rectangular glasses that are popular right now. The only headset that fit perfectly was the one in the room on the second floor with the zombie game (very fun). Everyone Ive went with has had a lot of fun. I knocked off one star because some of the staff can spoil the experience - talking about you while youre playing (we can still hear you through the headphones) and yelling at you when youre navigating the game wrong. While I appreciate that youre invested in how Im doing, Im just here to have fun. Still kept the rating high since it was just 2 employees conversing vs. the 5 other employees upstairs that were stellar!
Such a huge waste of time and money. I paid $69 x3 and literally hated it from the time I walked in. The only way I’d ever give them another chance is if they give me some of my money back because I honestly feel like I was robbed. It was definitely worth more like a $30 experience.
I booked for 3PM and it seemed like they fully booked and even took people who walked in so the place was crowded. The check in person did not explain anything on how the games worked (using the wristbands). Half of the VR games did not have staff working them and the tablets to scan your wrists didn’t work either so it was a mess. Some of the staff was great like Sofiya! She took her time to explain how the games worked to multiple families who looked just as lost as we did. However other staff like Lucas was rude when I asked if I could be added to the tablet list since the wristbands didn’t work. He said he was too busy and I should go to a different game.A staff change happened at around 4 and they were actually pretty nice.Overall not worth the $44. Book elsewhere. The place is very small and the wait for the games is ridiculous. There is no order so you’re really just walking around in circles trying to find a game to play.
Games were fun, for the most part. However, staff babies you through all the games, which takes a lot of the fun away. In my particular trip, the white male with glasses had horrible customer service, and frankly ruined the remaining 45 minutes of my time. Would not come back.
This place is great and TJ (the bartender) is phenomenal. However it was advertised that there are three separate floors but there was nothing on the second floor-it was a lounge area. Not all the games that are posted online are actually available. I think you need to be a little bit more forthcoming.
Disorganised, dont accept cash, some of the games dont work, lack of communication among the staff. we got there around 12.30pm. we went to the 2snd floor and we immdiately got sent downstairs by some rude employee telling us the 2snd floor wont open as it was the 1 year anniversary of VR and they didnt have enough staff. I naturally went to complain as the front desk didnt tell us anything and nothing was stated on the website. The manager got involved and then told us that the second floor will be open in 5 mins. after 10 mins we ll go back up and some other guy tell us the second floor isnt open. at that point, the 4 of us are pissed off. we were going up and down going back and forth with the employees all giving us different informations. when the kids finally got to play their first game, one of the machine wasnt working, so another wait time to be added to the time we already wasted. also you cant be in queue for your next game while you are playing one. so basically you are not fully using your time. the queues are long. you could be waiting half an hour to play the game you want. all that to say that VR doesnt live up to the hype...40 bucks for a so called 2 hours when its really $40 to play about 3 games of 5mins to 8mins each. so technically you paying $40 for half an hour of play. thats what i call a rip off. It s a shame especially that the place was open for a year and the day we went was their one year anniversary. nothing was ready. it looked more like it was their first day of experimenting the games and how everything works.
I would definitely not go on a weekend if you can manage any other time. It was very crowded and it definitely would be much more enjoyable with less wait time for the games. I went on a Saturday evening and due to wait times, played only 3 games over the course of 2 hours. That is not good for the price of admission. It is frustrating that the games are not thoroughly explained (they should really have instructions on the walls by the game); and annoying that you can’t be in line for more than one game at a time. There should be a better system for the lines. They should have some sort of technology based notification system in place for when you are next in line for instance (text etc). Instead they have an employee scream your name over loud music when it’s your turn, and if you miss that you’re skipped. Also, 2 of the games I wanted to play were out of order. Definitely not the best way to spend 100 bucks with your girlfriend in NYC.
This place is like a club that just happens to have VR. The music they play through the speakers is so much louder than the sound from the games (which is a moot point because half of the headsets are busted anyway.) The queue system makes no sense. Some places require you to scan your wristband but then the scanner doesn’t work. Then when you sign up manually with an attendant they tell you that you have time to play other games while you wait for your turn. But then they get impatient when you’re actually playing another game like they told you to.Some of the staff is great! Others just don’t seem to care. I played Arizona Sunshine and tried to get the attendant’s attention because my right controller was dead. He fixed it once and said it just wasn’t on. When I tried to explain the battery needed to be charged on it, I was ignored and the controller died again right away. So I was left to play with one controller the whole game. I was playing the Cookout game and the camera kept randomly recalibrating which threw off my whole view. After trying to get someone’s attention to help, someone finally assisted me at the very end. It’s clear this company just wants more bang for their buck. It’s $44 for two hours “unlimited” but you have to wait for others to play before you because each game only has one station as opposed to having one station with all the games available for you to choose from.I would honestly recommend going somewhere else or even just buying VR yourself because while this concept is great - the execution is very poor.
Im from NY. And was hoping to find something different to do. This place delivered... the games were immersive and geared to all ages. The staff was friendly, accommodating and patient. They were great in explaining what to do for each game. Definitely recommend this for anyone looking to do more than just another boring movie.
While the concept is cool the implementation leaves a lot to be desired. When we visited several games weren’t available due to software or hardware issues. And what games were available had queues to use them. Also, the staff had to cover multiple stations. When an issue arose on a game during play often times a staff wasn’t present to handle. Over the course of being there for two hours we only played games for about ten minutes.
They have you book a time for tickets but they let so many people in at each time slot that you’ll be lucky to play 4 games in 2 hours. We had our names in the queue, waiting to play the game, only to have the game break or the waiting list reset before we could play. They also have one employee trying to sign in people on multiple games so the entire thing takes forever. I would definitely not recommend going on a weekend. It was a mess.
Terrible experience and waste of money. I purchased 2 passes for $45 each for 2 hours. There was NO social distancing from neither the staff or the customers. They allow way too many people into this place which makes it an uncomfortable experience for those who are trying to have fun, but be safe. It also makes no sense that you can only scan in for one game at a time when the wait can be an hour or more for a game. Like other reviewers mentioned, some game stations will delete your name and a few people complained about this during my time there and there was nothing that could be done about it. Also really upsetting that an adult was able to TAKE OFF HIS MASK to play the car racing game. The staff member gave him a VR set and somehow didn’t noticed that this man had no mask on. When I brought it up to the staff member, he said he didn’t realized and LET THE MAN CONTINUE PLAYING. And had the audacity to try and get us to sit in the same chair and use the same headset as that irresponsible man. The worker is a young kid, definitely not his fault but just speaks to how this place is not managed well, especially during these times. I would never go there again. You can’t have a space that is going to attract children and not have a method or reinforcement to encourage people to socially distance. Either find a way to keep people apart or allow less people in. What a joke of a place.
This place is the best VR facility in New York. The staff is amazing! The drinks are great and will have you feeling just right. My favorite game in the building would have to be The two player bow and arrows game. Me and my girlfriend kicked but. Thank you to the amazing host Darrell. Tony, Sofiya, Brady are all so animated animated that the experience was over the top. Thank you and your staff again for such an amazing new experience.
I surprised my daughter for her 13th bday. She really had a great time!! The employees are AMAZING!! Very friendly and encouraging while playing which really added to the experience. We went for 2 hours from 12-2p after an hour they were a few more groups of 3-4. Im happy we came when it opened. Couldnt imagine going on a weekend..but all in all super fun!! Worth the money for experience!!thank you VR world!!!
This place is very clean and enjoyed the all-day pass where you could come and go as you please for the day. If youre deciding between the two-hour or all-day, go for the all day. Its only 20 dollars difference. Please keep in mind that during rush hour, they have people lined up outside. Aside from the line to enter, there were lines for the games as well, especially the popular ones. So in 2 hours, you may not be able to play the game that you want to.My favorite is the two-person tag game and the single-player boxing game. ***Pease be mindful if you are prone to motion sickness... the car racing game got me really sick. Also, they DO NOT have lockers or coat checks.*** The coats are just hung in a closet with everyone elses. So wear an inexpensive coat if youre going in the cold weather period.Overall, it was a lot of fun and would definitely recommend if you have never experienced VR.
Just came back from their reopening day and i must say the new place looks fantastic! Very modern and sleek. The employees were high energy and very helpful through every step of the way. They have proper social distancing and fantastic hygiene at every single booth in the venue. After each use every inch of the controllers and headset were cleaned and disinfected which made me and my mom feel very safe. If you go id definitley recommend trying the extra experiences they have as it is a blast (ie the little jetpack simulator i forgot the name) All in all this was a fantastic place to go and my time was so wonderful i just had to leave just as awesome of a review!
Don’t go on the weekends, it is way too over crowded even though you need a time slot. We paid for 2 hours and were only there for 45 minutes and played one game because the wait times were ridiculous. None of the QR readers were working while we were there, and there is no explanation of how the games work so you have the 5 minutes of game time to figure it out on your own before you’re timed out. A definite waste of time if you are wanting a game night while in the city
First off I want to say I was skeptical about this place bc of the pricing, however it was really worth it. The employees from the front desk, to those monitoring the games were very kind and helpful, the music was spot on, the games were fun. I also went at a later time so I didn’t experience waiting longer than 10 mins for any single game/experience. Overall it was great
Brought my girlfriend for our anniversary and it was an all around amazing experience. All of the employees were kind, helpful, and overall fantastic. I ended up having a little too much fun and the entire place was supportive. If someone asked what that night was missing, i couldn’t name a single thing. If it wasn’t for the incredible crew working at VR World, i would not have enjoyed myself nearly as much. Thanks for the great time guys and sorry for any trouble i might have caused!
Its ok. Like most people said, sometimes it takes a while to wait for a game, so you really have to plan which ones you want with the 2-hour pass. Its fun to try if you havent before and obviously cheaper than buying your own VR system. If you have a friend who has VR, buy games for them and hang out at their place instead. Glad I experienced it, but I dont see a reason to go back. Employees were nice and helpful.
Thought it would be fun. Lines were super long and we wanted a refund before we even started playing anything, so we went to the front desk. They refused to refund us and said that they could reschedule us for a different date. We declined, and said that we would just wait in the lines. When we scanned our wristbands, we discovered that they had rescheduled us for a different date and our wristbands didn’t work. Awful experience.
Im not all that much of a gamer but I have played a couple VR games before. This was a cool and low key place where you can try multitude of different games in a super lux environment. The staff were all pretty laid back and friendly, overall I had a lot of fun. Def would recommend as a fun few hours to spend if youre checking out herald square and 34th st.
I have been to many vr places and id say this was the worst experience. Why put appointment times if you are going to let literally anyone who comes in through and make the place overcrowded. There was a 2 hour pass for about 43$ and 63$ for all day pass. The 2 hour pass is pointless since you have to wait for 1 hour 40minutes for just 1 game. So.. you spend 43$ for 1 game and thats if you get lucky.Me and 3 of my friends purchased all day pass and arrived at 2pm. Got to play 4-5 games each, we stayed till 6pm.The games that were advertised on the website were not playable (fruit ninja etc), i had to play few games with uncalibrated controllers which was a pain and one of the controllers were not working for a game i waited 2 hours for..2 stars just because of the sanitization policy and helpful staff (though understaffed).
Bartender saved the day... WACK! Most of the cool rides were down. The instructors were pushy if you didn’t understand what to do exactly. Needs more upgrading wer’e in like 2021 come on! BF is a gamer & was ready to go first hr. Needs more staff not worth the money couldn’t wait to leave so boring
It was an awesome experience. Customer service was spectacular.. I do think the customers need a buzzer for when there is one person in front of their turn so that they dont miss out and have to start their wait all over again. I also do think there should be 1 or 2 days out of the month where the kids can play longer than the 7pm. Also, if youre waiting for a very long time for 1 game, we should be able to go and play other games to occupy our wait time. Other than those 3 concerns, my party and I had a great time and would definitely do it again.
Most staff in this place are friendly and provide a great customer experience, the concept is nice and the games are ok. You can buy drinks, relax in the lounge and play some virtual reality games that are good for two or single players. Perhaps it would be a good idea to add a roller coaster or a parachute game and the car simulator can be a better one but those are things you may consider later in time. Friendly advice, dont eat much before going since I noticed some people were dizzy after some games.
Great experience if you dont have a headset! Pricey but fun if you are into the games they have there. The wait can be a hassle on busy days otherwise, its not bad. I would suggest only coming with a group of about 2-4 people otherwise youll just get bored waiting. My brother and I went and we had an all day pass and we basically stayed until it closed. Though if you just want a quick experience, you should take the 2 hour pass though you may not experience everything there is since it took about 2.5 hours for me and my brother to play a bunch of the games.
The games in this place is amazing! However there management is terrible, particularly Rose, to the point I’m seeking legal action since the worker upon entry failed to make sure my family an I signed disclaimer form!! An all my emails have been ignored. Maybe a petition with get there attention. This place is wheelchair friendly but it seems there management isn’t! I’m paraplegic an get around with ease using a manual wheelchair and decided to go to virtual world in the city with some family in hopes of having a good time. Long story short I was having a great time until I fell off my chair. Lol. I guess I got to into the game. I laughed an got back on my wheelchair. While playing another game I fell again, got back on my wheelchair an try to continue playing, that’s when this manager Rose told me I can’t play anymore games because I fell asking me how many drinks I had at the bar. I don’t even drink! an this place is so tiny you can see who is having a drink at the bar. When I asked for a explanation she rule said I signed a disclaimer an can’t do nothing about it. I try to explain to her that I can put on my seat belt which would have fixed the problem , an still was denied. So now after being slightly embarrassed because I fell I’m being told I can’t play. Talk about adding insult to injury . Not only me my family was also not allow to continue to play. It seems like this manager was on a power trip. I was told she was the only manager in charge. I guess that’s why she was the only worker without a uniform or identification saying she work there! I told her I was going to contact corporate an was given a email by Rose. I sent several emails to two different emails and received no response. I see this place doesn’t care about customer service to the point that they don’t address any complaints. This Manager Rose is a terrible representation of this company. She has no customer skills an is to aggressive . She told me no one ever fell of there wheelchair while playing so I guess because of her lack of management skills an experience telling me I can’t play was the best course of action. Then referred me to make my complaint to a email that would get me no response. I urge people not to visit this place. Next time I will be going to virtual world in queens nyc for a great V.R experience they are much better, I hope an suggested y’all do the same. I will be filling a petition against virtual world for discrimination on people with disabilities to make sure no one with a handicap will go thru the hassle an embarrassment I was put thru because of there manager Rose.
If you dont own a VR headset Go. Seriously.2 hour pass around lunch. The day pass is what my girlfriend and I did and its a great price. The staff is laid back and helpful if youre inexperienced and totally down to nerd out if you know what youre talking about. Either way play as much as possible and get ready to be sore the next day.
Two stars less, for the attention that Ashley gave us, terrible service, a game did not work and she did not do anything to help, she has no patience with people, she gets upset instead of doing her job. We dont feel like going back, just for that, hire friendly people with good customer service.
Fun place to experience VR and try new games. Staff was very friendly and helpful. There were very few people there so we were able to play all the games in under 2 hours but I could see it being very difficult to get in a lot of games if it was busy. Overall a fun experience. A must if you love gaming and have never experienced VR.
Such a fun place! Highly recommend as something to do if youre visiting NYC or just looking for something fun to do during the pandemic. Staff are all so kind, and the facility is very clean. The games are sick, and youll definitely get plenty of insta content (if thats your thing). All around great experience!
Had my sons 12 year old birthday party there on a Sunday morning. It was wonderful and the kids as well as the small of adults in attendance had a blast. The staff is wonderful and the experiences are terrific. I personally loved walk the plank. I know I was on the ground but the experience seems so real , that its terrifying!! Try it and enjoy!
I mean when I say AWESOME PLACE! I mean they were AWESOME. TJ, Nedine and Jordan helped us out and they were so friendly, professional and just plain FUN! We played so many games, had a couple of drinks at the bar and the music was wonderful. The whole experience was a Vibe. LOVED IT! I will definitely be recommending this establishment and going back. Thanks to the entire staff that were so welcoming
Overall, VR world is really fun but super price-y. Going there has given me an interest in VR but there is more value in buying your own gear. When you walk in; there is a very small check in space which causes delays getting in. The people at the front did a poor job of explaining how everything worked. We were not told that you had to check in a second time, within one minute of you start time, which caused problems getting to play the games until someone explained it to us. I was with a group and only two games were multiple player so we ended taking turns playing a game then discussing. This meant two of the three of us waited about 15 minutes. The employees on the ground level were awesome! Very nice, excited, and made the experience. However, the a few of the people working the second floor were extremely rude, rushed us, and almost ruined the experience. We ended up leaving that area because the vibe was really grime. Dont skip the museum section! It was super cool! What made this a 3/5 experience for me was 1) the price 2) disorganized check in 3) long wait times 4) a few negative employee experiences.
This was my first time going to a VR cafe and it was a great first experience. The staff are very helpful and add to the fun, laid back atmosphere. The cafe offers two player games on the first floor, single player games on the second and a mix of some multi-player games between both floors like Formula 1 racing (4 players) and a zombie game (4 players also.) I bought a two gamer pass but they offer an all day pass for $20 more. Either pass would be a good investment. There is a brief wait time between some of the games but it is nothing too long.
This place is awesome! Took my 10 and 12 year old nephews and we all had a great time. Good experiences for single players and the boys got to play some 2+ player games as well. The Tilt Brush 3D painting was my personal favorite. The employees are super nice and very helpful - especially with people with no VR experience. The equipment fit well and was comfortable. Highly recommend! PS: we came at 1:00 on a Tuesday afternoon in the summer so it was not crowded.
Long story short, youd have more fun with a Playstation VR. Its nice for a group however most games are single player and you have to always wait on games like youre at six flags. You cannot touch the headset, always have to wait for someone to come set you up. While some staff are nice helpful and seem excited to help some are lazy and dont want to deal with you and give you false information so they dont have to deal with you or set you up in a game. Ive had this one staff who kept giving excuses upon excuses that ended up in me leaving the space. If you ever go 3 hrs before closing expected a lot of games to be closed. Overall this place did not live up to expectations, quite the disappointment actually.
I had a great time, if you want to play VR games then this is the place. Its clean, sanitary, and the staff is very friendly. William, one of the staff, enhanced the experience I had by inviting me to play a multiplayer game with him. I came into the establishment thinking I will be playing a couple solo games, but not until William came along. We played a game where we were tasked to shoot robots, and it was great. Although this place is fun, i wish there were more options when it came to how many hours one could play.
This place is TOOOO much fun! The vibes were awesome. The team was friendly. What more can I say ? I guess I’ll leave a-little review for people as it relates to VR experiences. My visit here was my first VR experience, and it was very immersive. I’m afraid of heights (lol). Initially the games were too much for me. Yet, the staff helped me pick games that would ease me into the experiences. Before you know it was playing flying games and loving it! I have no idea how people were drinking alcoholic beverages and playing these games (I would have puked). Despite my weak stomach (lol), several people were tipsy and having a blast while playing the games - no problem at all!It was awesome overall!!
Staff was very helpful and attentive. They seemed excited to share the VR experience with you. Started to get crowded which makes the lines longer. I understand the investment for the technology so I did not expect it to be full of games like an arcade. Overall great experience, I reccomend starting off with the elevator VR ride
This is ridiculously fun. Whether the game is simple or intricate, there still an underlying challenging element to them. Good selection of games, laser tag, archery, boxing, secret agent training, soaring through the sky as an eagle, battling robots...non stop entertainment. There are understandable long wait times per game, yet so worth the wait. Play as much as you can. Recommend buying the all day pass & jet pack add on😉. Youll thank me. VR world is Rated E for Everyone!
The games and experiences are awesome. Theres stuff for everyone too. Classic VR games along with films, creative artistic applications, and more. Theres even an ayahuasca drug experience to try. Not cheap, but worth it. The building is a bit worn though, not very polished. And the employees are sometimes hard to find to set up or finish a game.
My son (8 years old) had a blast! Friendly staff , cool video games, and they even have refreshments ! Really cool scenery for cute pictures. This place would of received 5 stars but you can’t tap in to two games at a time so you have to wait and you can’t play other games while you wait. Even with the 2hr packet though you can still experience and enjoy a lot of games. I would go again
Fun place to go to for a few hours but risks of seizures should be BOLDLY DISCLOSED. And in that case there should be different prices and bands for people not able to use the games but that have to accompany minors. But otherwise the staff was amazing!! They are fun and engaging (absolutely the correct people to have at a place like this)
Awesome place with plenty of VR experiences for people to try out. They are extremely hygienic about the headsets - they seem to be cleaned right after use and each user wears paper masks to protect the equipment, which was really defining for me. The staff are attentive friendly and helpful. The queue system is intuitive and makes waiting in line easier. There is even a bar for drinks and alcohol. All in all, best VR experience Ive tried in NYC.
VR world is the best place to go midweek after a long day at work. They make your vr dreams come true with short waits and awesome games. The staff like Heidi were so awesome at explaining everything and being patient with first timers. She was very fun to talk to when you first arrive. She showed me a tip to put the hygienic eye covers on your face was to double up the stings as you put them over each ear. I think most of the staff was really cool. For my birthday it became the best night of my birthday week! Plenty (his actual name) was a great help with what to do first and funny as hell. Oh and Kevin - who was from was from Heaven, he like fixed everything so it fit right and wasnt blurry and after talking with me and my friends found us the best games to check out so we used all of our time wisely...and he was hilarious. If no ones using a game towards the end of the night there is no waiting for your line in the cue just play while waiting for your other game. If you want a good night i suggest blow off some steam virtually at VR world with this perfect mix of games + kind thoughtful staff. Great for all ages and a new experience for any one looking for something different and unlike anything you have ever tried!
Very cool experience but a lot of standing around waiting for your turn. You should be able to swipe into line for two games at a time instead of one. For some games, the wait is 30 minutes or more and if you only have a two hour pass, thats a huge waste! The rock climbing and drawing games were my personal favorites. The two player shooter on the first floor right by the entrance was a lot of fun too.
Booked for my kid 6pm-8pm, and when we got at the reception they said policy can’t accommodate kids after 5pm, how can they allow for booking and not to actually play? Receptionist walk us through to FAQ to find that answer, who reads FAQ when you book? Or maybe just a link to remind about policy, simply insane.Your staff herself scrolled all the way to FAQ to show me, why not just put a link when booking to ask for the ages of players? I even sent a refund request as instructed by your stuff, no reply until now. No we won’t ever come back again, hub Neo’s facility is better and even customer service.
Pretty good VR arcade! Worth checking out just be aware a lot of stuff will be broken, offline, have long waits, be unattended, and the 360 video area is almost always closed. Multiplayer is scarce and poorly implemented. But the staff are numerous and competent, and it has a bar and is generally has a fun cool vibe! Fun for pretty much everyone, been here 3 times and its fun every time. So this makes the place 4 stars easily.
Will be awesome later but work in progress. You can tell the difference between the employees that care and the ones that dont as much. Some seem like trainers, some seem like students. Some just need work or havent gotten to feel the drive of VR. All of the staff is friendly.Day pass IMHO isnt worth it yet.2 hrs minimum is more like an average and I heard a customer decide to leave because he only had 30 minutes to spend there. Based on the current options available, 30 minutes of their VR is plenty for a man of his stature.I would have had to give 15 more dollars to sit in their main event piece and since I had bought $100 worth of time and only used close to 2 hours trying to get the best experience instead of 8 hours purchased, we moved on to other NY attractions.Solid 4/5 for a place of promise early in its long term goals.
Half of the place doesn’t open until after 1pm, so it gets crowded if you’re early. Some of the flying games are closed because of “loose screws” and the remaining ones have a minimum height. The staff is not paying attention to what crowds of kids are doing. You are never told or shown that there are time limits, which makes sense, but the staff just yanks you out. Given the lack of games, crowds and disorganization you’ll be glad to get more than 15min of playing for your $40 2hr ticket. The guys with the racing cars however were very helpful.

2022-02-22Great place to go with your kids or partner who love to play video games/VR. Lots of fun games to play. Try and pick a day when it’s less packed. We went on a Saturday, which surprisingly was not packed around 4pm. We got to experience all the VR games. For the race car game be careful when playing that one if you get motion sickness because you do feel dizzy and want to throw up! Lastly, the bar wasn’t open so you couldn’t buy any water or drinks around that time so bring a drink with you. Staff were nice and friendly except for this one girl downstairs. She was a little rude and had attitude when you ask her any questions. Besides her, everyone else is great. Thank you to that very enthusiastic guy who works in the main floor ( I wish I got his name) has curly hair and is always on the roll to making you have a great time there. Thank you Flynn, Brian, and Amy!!!

2021-11-21Not sure why this place has 4 stars: we booked a 5pm spot on Saturday. The “reservation” means nothing. You have to wait in line, which was a major waste of time. Some of the games we wanted to play had 1 hour wait time each. The other games also had lines and were not as cool. Another 2-3 games were out of commission. They dont offer refunds, but can accommodate you to another day: apparently Wednesdays are their slowest days. Which do not work for most new yorkers (due to work). Came in with high hopes only to be let down… i do not recommend this place.

2022-04-10I left feeling the burn in the best way. With the virtual reality games they have, its very physical, but very safe.Cleanliness--Staff asks you not to touch the equipment as they get you ready instead, and you wear a face covering before putting on a VR helmet. Staff also make sure they sanitize each headset every time a new person comes off it.Games--From zombie apocalypse shooters, cooking meals and serving customers, to saving your village with a bow and arrow, and even boxing all the elite fighters, there is a good amount of games to play in this multi level space, and if youre down to grab a drink, they have a bar as well! It looked very spacious at first and seemed to have very little games, but with the time allotted we didnt get the chance to play all of them anyway.Note if you ask for water, there are no glasses of water, they sell you water in a container.Overall, four stars because it is a bit pricey for what we’re doing, but it is Midtown Manhattan so what can you expect. I had a pretty solid time and if there was a deal I would come back for sure :)Truthfully, I went on a date here and it was so much fun. Not far off from the 34th street Macys. On a date or outing you should come here and then go to karaoke with your friends or date in Koreatown nearby. Youre welcome on the suggestion ;)

2022-01-14This was actually super cool! the VR games were really fun to play. definitely the key is to come on an “off” night. we came Wednesday night and didn’t have to wait for anything. Staff were friendly and clear, had a bar where you could purchase drinks. lounge/coat area upstairs and then 2 floors of gaming. they close at 8 and shut down most games by 7:45 which we didn’t know and caught us by surprise. still got to play a good amount of games though and would definitely go back!

2022-06-13If you can’t afford your own VR then sure do it for the experience…but this is very comparable to sharing a public swimming pool. Better pick a slow day to visit or you’ll be waiting to play and your 2 hour window will be gone before you know it. Not worth the hype, they are definitely geared towards adults that want to drink alcohol and play VR. For some reason there’s an upstairs with a DJ turn table and couches with a club atmosphere but they did a great job with the decor.

2021-12-31Not too many selections that are anything that you can’t do at home, but without a line. Only difference is that they have a bar and a bunch of children also playing the games. It seems like a great place to bring your kids. Short playing time with the lines, but a great staff and drinks. Fun for a date. Fun for children. Bad for a gamer

2022-02-27We went to VR world for my friends birthday last night. We couldnt have been more disappointed. Half the machines werent working including some of the best games and activities they have. That should be told to you before you pay to go in. The machines to scan your bracelets were also dead at most activities so it was very disorganized trying to figure out how to get into the queue for a game. There were like 6 things to do most of which had waits, which we somewhat expected, but not 1hr15m waits. The bar was also closed for some reason! A complete waste of our money. DO NOT go here its a rip off. We felt totally scammed coming into this place. Shocked this place doesn’t have more bad reviews.

2021-10-14We went back again last weekend and had so much fun. The zombie game is so good! My son did the add on VR flying ride and he loved it.--------This place is awesomely futuristic and so fun! VR World was a planned destination as part of my trip to the city with my 12 year old son. We arrived just before Noon so we could have access to the first and second floor during our two-hour time slot. I purchased our tickets on Groupon which helped me avoid paying handling fees on the VR WORLD website. When we arrived there were few people there so we had no wait for anything during the first hour. It did get a bit busier during the second hour so my son had to queue up and wait a bit to use different experiences but he got to do everything he wanted to in the 2 hour slot. The decor is cool. The place is clean, including the bathrooms. The staff is exceptional! Super friendly and positive. They were like personal cheerleaders during each activity in which we participated. I get motion sick so I couldnt do many of the activities but the still activities I used were great. There is this archery game where you kill these big monsters. I loved it!! My son loved it even more than I did. Great place! You should go!
