This station smells how I imagine a walrus in the summer heat.
Great away to be around, especially during the summer. The park is very active, various basketball games, and etc.
Ride or die. Its super hot in the summer and normal all other seasons. West 4th, a nexus point for Straphangers.
Its all good apart from the regular monster attacks. seriously, can i get one ride home without a monster trying to tear me apart.

At 3 PM on Nov 25, 2019, when my 10 yrs daughter was stuck at the ticket gate due to failure of swipping metro card, a woman opened the ticket gate with her card. I want to say thank you very much for the lady here. I was heard before coming NYC that some people who are in NYC are so kindly. I understand this meaning by actual experence. I want to help those in need.
A fairly stifling station most of the time, I generally try to avoid this stop for the unusually stuffy air on all of the platforms. Other than that factor, the station is adequate, and the setup is blissfully simple to connect to any of the trains here.
You can easily connect to the A, C, E, F, M, and D lines downstairs. The station has an elevator and two news stands with drinks and snacks.
Says the F stops are in the A on the weekend then I end up a half HR late for dinner. Everything thats the MTA subway nightmare exists here
The signage for getting to uptown trains is confusing, since some signs say to go down a flight of stairs to downtown trains but neglect to say the uptown trains are yet another level down below that. People are always confused here...
I have mixed feeling about this station.The good: Lots of lines, very big, has multiple newsstands.The bad: Theres no actual exit to 4th street - the exits are at 3rd and 8th. The ACE are two floors apart from the FMBD, the only exits are at either end of the platform.

Almost every time I come here take the F train( local) to 34st 6th ave, maybe You want aks me why dont take Exp, because I never saw the Exp, but I see Exp at the 34st running away! B(6mins) D(6mins) M(8)mins F(3mins) MTA please tell me why!
Huge station where you can transfer between the Blue 8th Ave (A/C/E) and Orange 6th Ave (B/D/F/M) train lines. Wheelchair accessible. Not always clean however.
Under construction and not on time. Waited 30 mins for a train and then had to take an Uber.
It gets crowded because of NYU being nearby and the number of lines through here. Trains are on two levels and there are exits on third and eighth. There are often performers of some sort in or near the tunnels to the third Street exit.
Like many other subway stations, its time for some renovations. Also, unfortunately, I have seen rats in the tracks at the station as well.
It is what it is for New York transit. Avoid the end of the platform on the Brooklyn bound direction. Ive had to fight for my life against a few rats back there

Well located along several transit lines and in walking distance of NYU, theaters, restaurants, shopping and other prominent landmarks.
So many train lines and buses can located in and around here.
This station is always hot. Lot of trains stop here. When the D isnt running...platform gets super crowded.

Love coming here to watch people play basketball and handball. Lots of locals and a fun vibe.
Easy to access and a hub but not very clean.
Designed and functions as a connection hub between ACE (upper level) and BDFM (lower level). Exits to 8th St to the north and 3rd St to the south.
The layout of the station and the elevators makes it easy to connect between the two lines.
Unbearably warm in summer. Train stopped arriving here in the early 2000s

2021-09-26There are multiple entrances to this station, there are 3 entrances at Waverly Place/6th Avenue, and another one at 3rd Street/6th Avenue. I entered from Waverly Place and 6th Avenue, and just by the entrance, I could feel the warmth and humidity of the station. There was also some weird water spewing onto the tracks on the Downtown and Brooklyn F/M train platform. This station is barely light up, compared to other stations in NYC. Remember: The A/C/E trains stop on the upper level, while the B/D/F/M stop on the lower level. And be sure to listen to announcements, or read the signs, as this station is notorious for trains rerouting and/or used as a terminal if there are problems on either the 6th or 8th Avenue lines.

2022-06-05Great station except the rampant amount of beggars in the area. Most of which may try to follow you until you give them something. Do not give them anything, thats another entity thats supposed to be in charge of that. The beggars just ignore them and if you feel unsafe call 911. Lastly lets all ban together and report the beggar issue to the local nypd precincts so they are well aware of the issue at hand.

2017-07-15A,E,C,D,B and F trains stop here. Huge station. Has elevator , it has a escalator as well. The subway is always hot. Pretty clean. Seem to have some people to entertainment the passenger always with their talent. This subways has two mini store.

2022-02-10Funny how I even give my bad experiences 5stars... This station happens to be where I was first arrested by a in too deep undercover transit detective. It was over 20 yrs ago btw... he was sitting Indian style on the ground with a sign posing like a beggar. he even had glasses complete with duct tape holding them together...I was there for Business lets say my plans were derailed. I love nyc
