An authentic Belgian waffle experience in the heart of Manhattan. If you’ve ever wanted to taste what a real waffle from Belgium tasted like... this is the place to go and try it out. The items are a bit expensive and the service isn’t the best, but the flavors were excellent and worth trying at least once.
The waffles here are absolutely delicious! I had their de bom and it was so good. Their waffles are crispy on the outside and so fluffy on the inside. The toppings that they offer makes the waffles taste even better. The Liege Waffles they serve are made with pearl sugar. The pearls burst and caramelize when the dough hits the waffle iron, resulting in a crispy and dense waffle thats rich in flavor. This store is located close to Macys at Herald Square. Theres plenty of space to chill and enjoy your waffles by the park. Their service is great and the waffles will make your day! Its definitely something one should try while visiting New York City.
Where do I start?..... Simply put the waffles were disgusting. Ordered 4 bourbon maple and bacon waffles for the family. They use a small blow torch device to make the bacon over the waffle. The result is a very tough hard to cut, hard to chew mess! An overpriced hot pamper mess! Didnt get drinks because we had our own, but maybe the drinks are their saving grace? 🤔
I paid 10 dollars for a waffle... And it was so worth it! These waffles are the best and the ingredients are the best quality. The clerk is nice and makes your waffle right in front of you, so you can see the ingredients are the best and everything is clean. This is a must try when you visit NYC.
OMG Waffles! My wife always craving to go back to New York to buy these waffles. The waffle was crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. What made it so wicked is the combination of caramel, peanut, banana and chocolate sauce as the toppings. Really made it a lavish waffle indulgence.
If youre reading this and debating whether or not to eat here- go. It is, hands down, the best waffle you will ever eat (we went twice in one day.) We actually had the pleasure of going to the brand new Times Square location on opening day (that place doesnt show up on here yet) and the atmosphere made the experience that much better.
Wafels and dingies was really good. We got the wham bam waffle slam which had 6 small waffles nacho style. It was delicious and I would definitely stop back if I was looking for something sweet. I also tried a waffle and ice cream with gingerbread ice cream that was really good.
Delicious waffles, I wasted no time eating mine, thats why I didnt even get a chance to take a picture of it. I got the turtle waffle, it comes with Carmel, chocolate and pecans It was extra to add whipp cream but well worth it. I would say these are more of a dessert than for a meal, because they are very sweet. And not that fulfilling if your hungry.
I actually have a favorite waffle spot in Brussels Belgium, so I went in with high expectations. I was not impressed. To my dismay, they didnt make the waffle to order but instead heated up an premade one. The waffle was dry and I would be surprised to learn that it was made that same day. Its also expensive. I paid $10 for the truffle waffle. If it had cost less, I would have thrown it away. All in all, not bad but certainly not real Belgian quality waffle.
This was one that my wife had seen on TV at some point, probably Food Network. It meant that we detoured on our walking tour of NYC to go and have their waffles. I wont say it was bad, it was good enough, but kind of hard not to do a some what good job with waffles. The price was in keeping with other street food. Is it worth a detour? That will be up to you to decide.
Wandering NYC in the middle of the night and all the standard stores are mostly closed. This waffle stand was open and serving hot crispy waffles with tasty toppings! mmmmmThey didnt have strawberries available when I got there, but they had strawberry ice cream. Yum! 💖💖💖And, I met some nice tourists wandering about as well. They has coffees and were quite pleased.
Worst Waffles I have ever had.It was cold and windy evening and hence me/ my wife thought to have a hot chocolate and waffles. The waffles they served was made in morning, they just heated and served. I was not even able to cut it.Hot chocolate was not even like warm. The lady serving there didn’t know if they served hot chocolate, I had to point out it in the menu. And we paid $25 for running our mood.
Consistently awesome customer service is why I LOVE this place! The employees were very friendly and seemed happy to take my order. Wrote my name on the box while the waffle was cooking and called me by my name the entire time. The Wafels & Dinges team had a great system for moving the customers along in a quick and efficient manner and I saw tons of happy and satisfied customers today. By far, this is one of my favorite food trucks/cafes in the city and I will definitely return some time soon and will make sure that I bring friends to enjoy the heavenly waffle experience as well :)
I wanted to try these waffles during our visit to NYC but I waited in line for 5 minutes without seeing the line moving. Four people before me and I left because we couldn’t wait longer. The service is very slow and the guy who is working there right now seems very uninterested in his job. I wish the service was better.
Delicious, fresh Waffle desserts at a great location in Herald Square. The WMD was really yummy with the Waffle topped with strawberries, bananas, whipped cream, with chocolate drizzle. You can enjoy your treat under nearby umbrella tables or at tables in the Square. I have been a returning customer for years.
Nothing, and I mean nothing, beats Wafels & Dinges in the desserts category. I cannot believe how phenomenal these waffles are! I cant even begin to describe how amazing it is. Easily the best thing Ive experienced in New York.Top-notch service and lovely lovely staff!
Mouthwatering !! Shop to death at Macy and eat one of the best waffles in NYC !! Super light, I tried the Nutella strawberry and cream. Was just too good. For non vegetarians they have savoury options, haven’t seen these in India. May be they are as good as the sweet, haven’t tried but they looked good.
This was on our bucket list of things to eat while in NYC. We luckily found a cart walking through Central Park. Dinges are the toppings, they have a menu, but you can actually get whatever toppings you want. The waffles are made at their factory, then heated up when you order. I got the one with ice cream and chocolate. The waffle has a nice crunch and sweetness.
Waffles and Dinges was our favorite food experience in NYC. I was so hesitant to try anything I watched on a food vlog or read about on Pintrest bc everything had been overpriced and horrible. I thought either people are paid or they do not know good food. Waffles and Dinges is one food truck/store worthy of its hype. The manager Spencer at the Harold Square location by Macys was so friendly and took time to answer all our questions so bc of his customer service, I nervously placed my order. I was not disappointed. Spencer shared with us the bourbon syrup that they just launched and I will be ordering it on line asap. There are 3 different flavors that are all out of this world good. We are foodies in my family and hard to please, but that syrup is the best I have ever tasted. People are getting a lot of syrup for Christmas in their food baskets. Ok I think I need to stop talking about The syrup but it was food orgasmic good. Yeah that good. The whole experience was awesome. I would get a plan waffle 1st and then get one with all the good stuff to share. Coffee was great but the homemade hot cocoa...well its a must try. My hard to please daughter was in love. Spencer and the staff working was so kind and nice. We had dealt with so many other rude staff if was just a delightful change to finally receive good service. Now we just need Waffle n Dinges in Charlotte, NC and Greenville, SC, great uptown areas to be in you guys ..hint hint 😉😘 Looking forward to seeing that Syrup in grocery stores worldwide also!!!!
A waffle with belgian chocolate fudge sauce could be likened to some sort of mouthgasm. Definitely the best waffle Ive ever had- I wanted to be a piggy and have another one, but I resisted. Their website is a bit strange and doesnt list out the locations properly, luckily there are plenty stationed around in strategic locations so we found one easily enough- really delicious!
Will waiting for my capuchino and cocoa I realized that being the counter was pretty dirty. My cocoa came out well but the capuchino was scalding hot and a latte, when I complained they remade me a scalding hot latte again at which point I gave up and took the latte. Expensive too. I wont go back!!!
Never disappoints. I used to get waffles with a million toppings, but nowadays I opt for a waffle with vanilla ice cream and pecans. Simple but satisfying. I usually go the location in Herald Square, but this one does just as well. The speculoos spread is delicious, pretty much like Trader Joes cookie butter if youve had that. They have a variety of toppings: from fresh fruit to dulce de leche and other sauces and ice cream. The aroma is so enticing that you cant resist.
Weve been talking about going to Wafels & Dinges in Manhattan for quite a while, but walking in Forest Hills we stumbled on the food truck! We werent particularly hungry, but couldnt pass this food truck up.One word to describe the wafels, AMAZING. Theyre just that damn good, be sure to try the spekuloos spread, you wont be let down!
The owner has made an amazing place. Great food and we came in the evening and great service. The store in 42nd and 6th street though, dont go off opening hours. We have a flight in the morning and waited for it to open at 9 like it shows. 940 rolls around and ask the employees when they open and they said in 10 min. Then upset when we ordered with the worst service. New employees would be good there. But food never disappoints
We scheduled our day so we were in the area of the Wafels & Dinges food truck. These wafels were very tasty. Their signature item is a BBQ Pork Wafel with coleslaw and a koolicke (a pickle spear soaked in koolaid), which Id recommend to anyone. They also have a Liege Wafel, which is a less common variation of the Belgian wafel. If you spot this truck, stop for a quick bite. Its worth it.
Being located in Herald Square can mean long lines, but if you have a craving for something warm and sweet, this is the place to be. If youre a first timer, Id recommend something with spekuloos, but stay away from anything with bacon - its not big slices, but rather lackluster little bits sprinkled about.
A smattering of spekuloos (creamy, sticky gingerbread spread) on a spongy hot wafel, dotted with powdered sugar and handed with hands attached to dudes who deliver sass with each wafel (and sometimes a few free chocolate chips!)...dropping by the wafel cart always adds 8 points to my day.

2021-06-12Great place for desserts around Bryant park, although the prices are a bit high but they’re waffles are good. I ordered the banana nutella waffle with vanilla ice cream. It was really good and I wasn’t expecting it to be this good. They have a wall which tells their story. It was an amazing experience.
