Pretty good Belgian waffle, pictured is the WMD my wife and I got last night at the Bryant Park location I wanna say around 8:45pm when it was moderately busy but took a good while for them to prepare . You can see inside and they (4-5 staff in that lil bungalow) didnt seem trained to move fast despite tickets piling up. Other waiting customers were growing visibly impatient. Appears they reheat premade waffles in their irons vs making fresh too. Good for a one time experience but if youre short on time and see any sort of line, consider skipping em.
I love these wafles BUT they have to be fresh and prepared to order. This location has a bad service And they make the wafles in advance, then per order, they heat them up, the excuse is that they use pearl sugar and that can be too hot when fresh. - as a chef, I can tell you that pearl sugar can cool down at room temperature and safe to consume . Bottom line if done correctly- they are awesome. (And pricy)
A lot of places really are not considerate when it comes to allergies, but the staff here were. That should be the standard for food places, but sadly its not. The staff here went out of their way to make sure my waffle did not come close to my allergen and was nice and didnt make me feel bad for having an allergy. A lot of places make you feel like an inconvenience and I didnt feel that at all at this location. Highly recommend.
Who doesnt like a good waffle for breakfast, but how about for a treat or dessert! This street vendor style eatery definitely delivers on quality dessert waffles. They have a wide variety of choices. Everything is made to order so it takes a little time, but it is worth it. The waffles were crisp on the outside with a subtle butter and vanilla flavor, and the toppings were all you could hope for.
First, very friendly staff! Smiles all around! Second, if you have a sugar craving the Turtle and Throwdown wafels were aaaabsolutely delicious. The mango lemonade and coffee was tasty. I would highly recommend this place if you are wanting a tasty treat! So satisfied and in a happy place right now! 😁
One of the most elite spots for deserts in the city. They’re a little pricey but I can’t think of many delicacies that taste better than these waffles. There’s a solid list of flavor options- I personally recommend the cinnamon churro. I love how this location is right at Bryant park. It’s a great spot for a park date.
I’ve been here with my girlfriend because this shop is also partner with bagBnb, so if you pre book online you can also leave your luggage here for the day and visit the city. Since we were here we decided to have breakfast with wafels and we didn’t regret our decision. The guys were quick and efficient, the food simply amazing and the atmosphere calm and relaxed, the music was very nice.A must try if you’re in the city.
The waffle was very dry and not fresh at all they don’t make you a fresh waffle when you order it felt like it prepared few hours ago at the moment I tried to cut the first piece from from the waffle my knife broke, also when I ordered the waffle with walnuts on it they were so big that I almost choked they don’t even bother to cut them so they will be edible. Very disappointed and not tasty at all.
That was super yummy!!! Cocoa is with marshmallows or whipped cream on your choice. We are lucky, there were only 2girls in front of us, but line behind us became long really quickly, because there was only 1 man, who did everything.PS. Cocoa is too sweet (particularly with sweet waffles!), so I recommend to take a water somewhere nearby.
The waffle qiosk is a good spot for a quick desert on the go or to enjoy in the park. Ice cream and a few other related menu items can be had for NYC priced. The waffle was a bit overdone and they didnt have all their ingredients for the menu item we ordered so they adapted it. Overall the service was ok, but the seats and tables were not cleared and sticky.
Best Belgian waffles. Or so it says on the kiosk where I bought 2 waffles on different days.I ate both times on the location near Bryant Park(Corner of 6th Ave & 42nd Street) and first time I served a Fair Waffle with water priced at a total of 12 USD then the second time I ate a Elvis waffle priced at 13 SD.As you can see from the pictures the waffles are big and the most important part is that they are great tasting.I ate a lot of waffles during my travels (even in Belgium) and I must say these are by far better, at least to my taste. While the Fair waffle is simple yet delicious the Elvis Waffle is something a bit strange. It contains bacon, peanut butter, bananas and honey so the taste was something new for me. It wasn’t the usual sweet taste you expect from a waffle but it was an interesting taste that I enjoyed.I am aware the combination might seem strange to many but I was really looking for new things and decided to give it a try and I can’t say I am sorry I did.The portion is big and I, even at my size, wouldn’t try eating two waffles. It is just too much.So if you are in the mood for something sweet this is a great option and I think there are a few locations throughout Manhattan.
Fast extremely pleasant service. Delicious waffles that actually taste real. Tip if you don’t want one of the waffles with tons of stuff on it you don’t have to. You can order a waffle with one free topping or as many extras as you like. It’s also fun to ask for the challenge of the day. There are tables conveniently next to the booth. Where are you could sit outside and enjoy your waffle in peace and comfort. Or grab a table a few steps up right in Bryant Park.
2 days in a row I stop by for a smiple lg black coffee… The 1st night I literally had to wait about 10mins and w anout 8 employees in the tiny booth not one gave me any eye contact and or reassurance that my coffee was being made or if I needed help… finally they hand me a cup I just said thx and walked off tonight I stop by again and get online to order (im the only one standing in line) im waiting and looking into the both w about 6 employees this time and not one greeted me to place me order…. I assumed maybe somethings going on idk know about so I continue to wait for about 10 mins at this point im pist bc these employees are just hanging around joking w eachother
Nothing quite like having a warm chewy waffle topped with peanut butter, banana and crispy candied bacon strips in this bustling corner of central Manhattan. The weather was a little cold to be eating in the open, but I do enjoy eating at the shop where one side is Bryant park with its nature, and the other is 6th Avenue with heavy traffic and wandering pedestrians.
Seven years ago, I used to come here frequently when I lived much closer. Today I returned and was greeted by Sam who was so friendly and personable. I remembered them having about 3 options to order and now that have quite a few! My boyfriend and I were so pleased with the flavor combinations and how amazing the waffles are cooked. They’re a little crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Whipped cream tastes homemade and speculoos is a must! So happy to return here!
The best waffles around! John was amazing and so hospitable with making recommendations and prompt service. The double trouble was delicious and all of the dinges were so fresh and scrumptious. My sister gave me a bite of her Belgian chocolate and peanut butter one....I’ll be getting that next time!! I couldn’t decide so this was the way to go to try a little bit of everything but I couldn’t finish it!!! The hot chocolate is also amazing, so sweet and yummy! Great experience for an outdoor cold day treat and exceptional service!!!
You order at the counter, when we went up the informed us that for National Waffle Day if we let them shoot a short clip of us they would give us a free wafel with one topping. We got the wham bam wafel slam and a wafel with dulce de leche. Theyre tasty but overwhelming sweet. The wafel itself is very sugary and when paired with the sugary toppings its just wayyyy too much. Maybe thats how Americans like it though. Ive been to Brussels and its definitely not like that.
Worst service , rude staff . I ordered small coffee & waffle .. gave me big coffee & waited for over 30 minutes and these guys didn’t serve the waffle while others who came after me did get it . I was standing near them all the time… wondering .. finally had to ask $ this Mexican guy stared at me like I have asked something strange .. he was rude & extremely cold .. then I checked with other guy & he behaved in the same cold way - oh he didn’t give you the waffle .. finally a botched up waffle was served in a huff .. this Mexican guy is worst that I have come across in this little shop in over the the years that I have visited . I hope some action is taken as nobody likes to visit such place where he is over charged & acted rude .
Great little booth on edge of Bryant ParkOpen early so handy for a bite of breakfast in the parkFriendly staffPlenty of seating available either immediately next to booth, or in the park itselfFood tasty and deliciousIdeal for a quick pit stop to refuel on the go, either with a tasty morsel or a quick caffeine hit
Ordered the Wham Bam because I liked that it was in a cup, good for eating on the go. It was delicious, though I might get it without peanut butter next time because it was just a little too rich with everything combined. Delicious place, didn’t know they had multiple locations, I’ll probably be back with friends.
I typically love Wafels & Dinges but this location was just a horrible experience. I waited ridiculously long which I don’t mind but the two women working there were dismissive when I pointed them out on forgetting the fruits I ordered on my waffles. And claimed it was under the whip cream, when I brought it home, it was not. I even asked for a to go box and the lady working there kinda just tossed it to me, and didn’t even add a cover for my drink..she also insisted she added what I ordered but did not. I’ve been to much nicer locations where the workers are kind. Avoid this one.
Absolutely fantastic! Had the Throw Down wafel, and honestly, this might have been the best food I had in my time in NYC! Making things better, I managed to forget my bags whilst eating. I sprinted back and found that they were being held for me on my return. Would recommend eating here without question!
As a big confectionery foodie myself, this was certainly a cheat worth craving. The de Bom waffle was yummy and paired very well with a small cappuccino, though it wouldve been just as good with the recommended menu offering of Belgian hot cocoa which I still have yet to try. Just dont expect to be counting calories here!
Great spot to grab a sweet bite! Angie was great, she walked us through the menu and helped my daughter decide. I seen other Wafers & Dinges never went inside but this time I gave into my kids wish! For sure I will come back excellent customer service thank you Angie 👍
5/5 for the wafel, its tasty.2/5 for anything else, because I got the wrong wafel. Also, I ordered at the machine and after 20 minutes of waiting I asked about my wafle and then they said the machine isn’t working. Its totally working, it took my payment and my order. I got a recipe. They gave me wafels a few minutes later but one of them was wrong. The wafle was not really hot and there is actually no cinnamon on the churro wafle with cinnamon. Also, the were no forks anymore so eating these was a mess. Luckily there is water in the park.
All the employees were on their phones instead of working, and they yelled at all of us in line to order at the side kiosk instead. The side kiosk wasnt set up with the payment reader, so then we all had to go back into the main line to try and make our orders and pay. We tried asking them about the missing reader and were told we just should tell them our order now, they completely ignored our questions and we were yelled at again for yelling at them -- literally they were the only ones yelling at us though? Such a nightmare, never coming back.
Located at the 6th Ave. and 42nd St. entrance to Bryant Park, Wafels & Dinges offers the perfect snacks to enjoy in the park. The wafels are wonderfully sweet and chewy, and come with a variety of indulgent toppings. I had the Bacon and Maple Syrup wafel (with an actual mini-bottle of syrup) and loved every bite! Its a bit pricey, but definitely worth it for a truly special treat.
Where Should i began praising about the company, the food, the customer service and don’t even Get me started on JOSHUA and his team ( the people serving waffles here).A QUICK BACK STORY.We were visiting NYC for a weekend break and WAFFLE AND DINGES is something thats alway in our checklist/bucketlist... but since the trip was quick... we kept pushing going to W&D. Now mind you today is Sunday ... Pride Celebration Weekend at time Square and it was 9:55 pm when we decided to head out but me and my sister immediatly realised we never gotta chance to go there. We checked the time and only one of the location was open and it was this particular location which was suppose to close at 10pm. Due to traffic our navigation was showing we’d cover 2 miles in 19 minutes. There was no chance that we were going to make it. But i thought i’d just try calling them and see they Might have extended hours in summer that are not updated in Google. So we called and after several rings the call went to voicemail and thats when i received the message for one of their Representative from Denver if he can help us. We told him the whole situation and he told me to wait for a second. He replied back in 2 mins and told us that we can go to this location and JOSHUA would be waiting for us. Now thats what i call an excellent business with extra ordinary works ethics, superb food and amazing customer service. We were happily surprised and made sure that we reach there as soon as we can. Joshua and his team were so warm and got as much excited to see us as we were excited to eat W&D. But after meeting them i think our treat was to meet This team not the Waffles and Dinges itself. I am speechless after the experience and being a person who knows NYC customer service and hospitality is not something to look forward to.I can very confidently say they do make a difference there.Great work Team.Absolutely Appreciate Everything about ya’ll
If you ever had great waffles and well you need to try to go here. this is totally the best waffle I ever had and it was the best. I had them made different ways I have made them different ways. The freshness and the texture the moistness. OMG it is fantastic and untouchable the Tutle waffle I ordered was like a dessert dinner. the great taste was out of this world. My wife doesnt like much sweet but this was an exception to the rule.I also ordered the hot coco the richness of the cream and the smoothness of it going down warmed me up. it was like drinking silk and I had him just to give it to me with nothing in it and it was like WOW. EYE OPENER just a taste of fresh cream and not to rich just the perfect amount of sweetness. I could only imagine how it would be like with the extras it would probably be up another notch.the people that served me was very nice and professional took the time to get my order right and didnt leave me unsatisfied. OUTSTANDING customer service. 5 STARS wouldnt be high enough. Thank you for the great taste and food.

2021-10-22Absolutely delicious waffles!! I love their waffles. Very fresh and very tasty. They have a wide variety and you can choose toppings according to your preference. We took the one with Banana - Strawberry topping and it was absolutely mouth watering. You can sit at the Bryant park and enjoy the view alongwith the lovely waffles!

2022-06-22Been coming to NYC for years and had never tried the belgian waffles until today. Loved it! Crunchy sweet and delicious. A bit pricey but it’s NYC! I had the waffle, nutella, banana and ice cream. Soooo delicious, plenty of outdoor seating right in the corner of Bryant Park and the New York Public Library. Highly recommended for a great dessert.

2021-12-15Waffle and Dinges is an adorable little building at the corner of Bryant Park that serves Liege Waffles with a large variety of toppings. The waffles were good, but not hot and crispy. I’m not sure if it was because I had ordered a waffle that was slathered with tons of caramel (Churro Waffle), or if it was because they pre-made a batch of waffles and stowed them on a tray in an area under the waffle makers, but the waffle wasn’t very hot nor crispy. The caramel sauce was very sweet and I didn’t really detect any cinnamon - it really wasn’t all too churro like in my opinion. While it wasn’t a bad waffle by any means, it just wasn’t as exciting as I had hoped. I think next time I’ll have to try a waffle with less sauce on it and come earlier in the day when turnover is faster.

2022-05-06So good . It was like eating an ice cream sundae because of all the toppings . Had the surprise of their food truck coming to Upper East Side . Such a treat . Normally I have no interest in food trucks but theirs was top notch and very clean . Because of me being to try it I have since gotten waffles at this location too . Always good .

2022-05-19Good Belgium waffles, but kinda overpriced. I recommend if you have a high sugar tolerance and a large stomach, but yea. Either that or build ONE waffle yourself and start off light on toppings to figure out your tolerance. Perhaps worth the experience once, but I dont know if Ill return. Perhaps a substituent visit may improve my experience.

2022-01-06Super delicious waffles that are sweet and crisp! We got the churro, 2 plain with strawberries, and a plain. All 3 were really good! It’s definitely sweeter than most waffles, but it also has a distinct crunch to the outside which I really enjoyed. The churro was my favorite with its caramelly and sugary topping.

2022-06-20I made sure this time our trip to NYC included a stop in Bryant Park and Waffles & Dinges!! You can smell the deliciousness approaching the park a block away! So delicious! My favorite is WMD “waffle of massive deliciousness” includes strawberries, bananas, Nutella and a ton of whipped cream!!

2022-06-19The taste is great. There are a number of options from the menu, and very delicious. The only problem is the price- it’s a tad bit expensive, but considering the location it makes sense. The food in the picture was around 12$, just for reference! Definitely a must to try when you visit.

2021-09-26Im always excited to find a spot that offers gluten free options. And in NYC Street stalls usually lack this kind of service so I was delighted when I discovered this place. However they were courteous to warn me about cross contamination with gluten based products. They are conveniently located just outside of Bryant Park. Service was super quick and friendly. Portion size isnt very large but it was enough for me to share between 2. The waffle was so tasty it made me melt so ill say the quality is definitely worth the price point for a fancy waffle.

2021-11-17Very tasty waffles. Could be warmer but still very delicious. Pricey for what you get, but it’s a nice treat while strolling in the park
