Crystal is AMAZING! She stayed open an extra hour to take care of my 10 month old puppy while I was stuck at work. Im very impressed with their customer service and dedication. My puppy always comes home so happy and tired from doggy day care. You cant go wrong with Wagging Tails!

Wagging Tails is the absolute best pet store! Their staff is incredibly friendly and you always feel like a part of their community while in the store. Crystal and James are both extremely knowledgeable about their products and always have a recommendation handy. Our dog loves going to Wagging Tails for day care and we know she is in great hands whenever we drop her off.

Ive been so impressed by Crystal and the team at Wagging Tails!! We took our pup, Sirius, to Wagging Tails for a tryout for day care - and he was nervous, as were we, since we adopted him during the pandemic and he had never been apart from us or with a large group of dogs or other humans. Crystal is kind and thoughtful, and gave him time, allowing us several shorter sessions to get him acclimated, and hes now doing fabulously! We plan on using Wagging Tails often - and are so grateful for the love Crystal and Emily and everyone give to the pups!! Thoroughly recommend.

I researched different groomers in queens just to make sure my pup had a pleasant experience. He’s very jumpy and I couldn’t imagine him sitting still. I decided to go with waggin tails because of their positive reviews and I am so happy I did! The groomer, Michelle is so friendly. I was able to go back and discuss with her his behavior and the type of hair cut we wanted before his appointment began. He was done in exactly 1.5 hours as they mentioned when I left. They also have a great range of toys, food and treats.
This pet shop is the absolute BEST! Besides having the BEST things for dogs, they also have the BEST customer service. Crystal is so caring and knowledgeable. She treats every customer and their pet like gold!!! Crystal greets every customer with a smile and is so kind. She treats every pet like its her own. One visit was all we needed to become returning customers. We wont go anywhere else! Wagging Tails is TOP NOTCH by far!!!My dog recently started going to doggy daycare and LOVES it. She was so shy at first, but after a little over a month it’s like a completely different dog. They do a quick temperament test to ensure your dog isn’t aggressive when around other dogs and then you can begin to schedule your dog attending daycare. They give them lots of attention and take them for walks and play with them. When I pick up my dog she doesn’t want to leave! Highly recommended!

Very helpful in choosing the right properly cooked non splintering bone for my dog. Dog has had the bone now for 3 weeks and it still looks great and is providing lots of enjoyment for the dog. So glad I went to Wagging Tails.

I called and there automated voice messaging system said that they are at capacity and cannot take new clients. My Havanese is overdue for a cut. I heard that this place is family owned and great with dogs. Sadly didnt get an opportunity to try.

I’m a long time customer, and Crystal and James are consistently very helpful and knowledgeable. They offer a good selection of supplies and food; including frozen raw food. They’re very good with keeping their inventory well stocked, and the prices are reasonable as well. If you don’t see something that you need then just ask. James will see if he can get it from his distributor for you.

They recommend products because they constantly rescue pups and use products they sell so ever recommendation comes from first hand users. Variety in the healthy, natural food aisle ensures your pet will receive the best nutrients on the market and the owners are simply sweethearts. Im loyal to them and they reciprocate with their loyalty program. I recommend to literally everyone I know with pets.
Great people who run the place. Excellent service, selection and prices. We got a cat tree that is hand-made, beautiful and sturdy. The cherry on top was that Wagging Tails delivered it to our home. I tried to offer a tip and they declined. Super great people.

I can’t rave about Wagging Tails enough! The owner James is wonderful and it’s obviously he cares about his employees, customers and of course our beloved animals. Michelle (groomer) is the absolute best! One of the kindest and sweetest people that anyone would be lucky to have their pet groomed by. Last, but not least, is Crystal- she is one of a kind. Always willing to answer any questions I have about my baby, Brooklin and goes above and beyond taking care of her in daycare. LOVE LOVE LOVE all of them! Wagging tails is, by far, the BEST and MOST FRIENDLY AND CARING pet store in Forest Hills and any surrounding neighborhoods. The entire staff goes above and beyond to be knowledgeable and accommodating. My dog loves going there for grooming, and just to visit. They always have the cutest treats as well as full stock of various other products and brands. We can’t rave about this place enough!!

The people here are incredibly honest, they care more about you making the right decision for your pet than they care about making a sale. There have been multiple times when I went to purchase something where they stopped me to ask questions about my pet and situation and gave me honest advice, even if it was to not purchase anything. During the pandemic, they were making deliveries to ensure that our pets got help too! They are a neighborhood staple!
We have been coming to Wagging Tails for over three years. The customer service here is fantastic. Both Crystal and James handle the front of house like complete pros, and Michele and Drew do a great job with the grooming and bathing.They have amazing stock and are always happy to special order anything they dont have, but the people that work here are the main reason we go out of our way to come here vs. going to another store 30 seconds from our apartment. They truly make it feel like home.

A store that is run like family. We went in here before we even got our puppy and Crystal and James helped us pick out everything we’d need. Fast forward 2 years later and we go here for everything- food, birthday cakes, treats, GROOMING (Michelle and Drew are the BEST). We get stuff for our guinea pig and fish, too. You won’t be disappointed.
My Shibamo, Daisy, and i came in because Daisy had a ‘hot spot’ on her leg. Crystal suggested that Daisy was having an allergic reaction most likely to her food. Crystal recommended an allergen free food that did the trick. Informative, professional and very kind. 12/10 recommend!

Other than having great experiences every time I go buy my dog’s food, today I actually had an issue with an allergic reaction my dog got due to a change of formula in the Merrick food brand. Real Texas beef to be exact. Anyways, as soon as I walked in I was greeted by Crystal who helped me look and gave me a few samples that didn’t contain the ingredients that were changed in my previous bag. Crystal was amazing this time and every time I come in the store! Very energetic and very very nice. Thank you Crystal! 👍

They have remained consistent and strong throughout this pandemic and have always been there for me with sound advice, great products and super-friendly service.
I took my dog to Wagging Tails for a grooming, and I couldn’t be happier with the results! Crystal was super sweet and accommodating, as she patiently addressed all of my questions and concerns. The groomer, Michelle, did a great job and she only took about an hour. There were about four other dogs that were happily waiting to get picked up by their owners, and they all looked wonderful too! We will definitely be bringing our dog back here!

I can not say enough good things about this gem of a mom and pop pet store in Forest Hills. The staff is amazing. Product knowledge, individual service and care are the highlight of the store. If you want the Im just here for the paycheck experience Petco is down the block.

The staff are all great, professional and customer service oriented. My interactions with Crystal at the front desk, with James on the phone and with Michele the groomer were all positive and easygoing. You can tell they really care about what they do and took their time to answer all my questions in a kind, caring and professional way. Michele and Crystal are knowledgeable on proper grooming of my pets breed, we have a pom pom. I couldnt say enough nice things and I will definitely taking my pet for his grooming here and Ill never take him anywhere else. He was happy and playful with the groomers so I know they took good care of my fur baby. I also appreciate that they require proof of vaccination from your very so I know itsa safe environment for my favorite bud. I highly recommend Wagging Tails.

After only my second visit, Crystal made sure to memorize my puppy, what he eats and setting out a bag of his food for me to purchase every other week. Their staff are experienced, passionate and true animal lovers, so don’t hold back any questions you may have.

Went there to see about grooming for my dog with my girlfriend and the gentleman behind the counter was highly professional and respectful. Unfortunately, we couldnt get grooming because the groomer was highly booked and requested. I like that about the place though, because it shows subliminally how good someone is about their craft. Will try again to book an appointment.

The owner and the staff are the nicest ever people, very accommodating and helpful. They make time for you and your concerns without making other customers wait to be served. The prices are competitive and the variety of products excellent. It has been my experience that if they dont carry an item you are interested in, they will see if one of their distributors can supply it.
Wagging tails is amazing! Crystal is the best; she also dog sits & she watched our 7mo old frenchie puppy Goose... she was so compassionate and loving to our pup! He is a frenchie so he is extra high maintenance but she did an incredible job. I have never trusted anyone with my pup prior to this and my fiancé also thanks her as it allowed for a stress/ worry free date night ❤️ So thankful for her HIGHLY RECOMMEND USING WAGGING TAILS & CRYSTAL for dog sitting / dog day care you name it. We have two dogs, a Yorkie and a Bischon Mix, and weve tried multiple groomers with minimal satisfaction. Initially we were going all the way to Long Island to get them cut, until we found this spot. Weve only just gotten our dogs their first cut, but we are happy with the results. They followed our instructions to the tee, they are affordable, their storefront has a wide variety of toys and food, and they are pretty quick. We will definitely use them again and were so glad theres good groomers in Queens!

It was my first time visiting today. I stopped by because of all the reviews and how it’s a small shop and not a huge pet store chain. I’m so glad I came in. Crystal was so kind and patient with me I have a new puppy and I just wanted to make sure I had everything for him. She advised me and really took her time. Will be back for sure !

Wonderful! They bathed my Chihuahua-Minature Pinscher Mix dog, and cut/ filed his nails. Getting his nails done scares him so much, but they handled it well and he came out wonderfully cared for. They also have a huge variety dog treats, dog care special items, and dog foods. I buy treats for the dog park, and being able to buy different sized bags and treats is great. Ive seen a lot of cat products, but I cant say much for it since my only pet is my dog. Either way, very pleasant.
This pet shop/groomer place is kind and welcoming. I moved between boroughs and that required changing Bentleys groomer. I am sooo lucky to have found them! The shop offers many different brands and products for all pets. Their prices are reasonable and they take card payments on purchases. Grooming is CASH only. This is guaranteed to be your one-stop-shop for all your pet needs; they offer excellent grooming services, as well as a plethora of pet products - and what they dont have, they will go above and beyond to get for you at great prices. I have not needed to order a single pet product from Amazon since discovering this gem, and the amazing customer service is itself a reason to stop by.I have never enjoyed shopping at the large pet supply stores, and now I am so glad to have found somewhere I am proud to be a patron of and to give my business to. The fact that it is walking distance is a bonus! But honestly I would happily drive to there no matter where I lived.Go visit this store- youll be glad you did!

This is a great pet store diagonally across from the movie theater on Metropolitan Ave. The staff are helpful and they actually carry a ton of products. If you want the best dog food (Origin, Acana) this place actually carries both - unlike the Petco down the street.They also have a setup in the back where you can bathe your pet (for a fee I believe, I havent tried this out yet personally.)They also will deliver on Thursdays so if you need that, be sure to ask them.

Youre local mom and pop pet shop with all the charm that comes along with that. Friendly, helpful staff, nice selection, (even carrying specialty items you dont see at nearby Petco or Petland) grooming services, and fair prices round out this stores review. They offer a limited delivery service, though I believe its limited to a day or two a week, and has a minimum of $75 worth of purchases, but still its a nice option and one you dont see at the corporate shops nearby. I like this shop quite a bit and wish I lived closer to metro to shop here more often. This is the kind of shop we want more of in Forest Hills, and there really is no reason to go to Petco or Petland except for parking. I dont know about you but Id take a few extra minutes looking for parking to shop at a place that appreciates my business and whose money stays in our community.

After a negative experience at Petco, we were searching for a groomer that would treat our puppy with tlc.Not only did Wagging Tails finish what Petco had failed to do, they bathed & lovingly cared for our puppy, making her beautiful & smelling wonderfully, all for half the price than Petco!Highly recommended.

2022-06-01My two year old French bull dog loves Crystal. She is trustworthy and truly loves all the animals that she takes under her care. She gives you periodic updates and she will always call you to notify you if she has a question for you about your pup. Im so glad I was passed along Crystals number! She is the best - I highly recommend Wagging Tails for all your daycare needs.

2022-04-14Recently found this lovely gem. The store has a large variety of food and they just got a new (and bigger) freezer for frozen raw patties. The staff, Krystal and James, are so nice and helpful. Will be coming back here for all my puppy needs.

After seeing I was looking around for a bi, Crystal, the manager came up to ask if I needed help, when I told her I was looking for some walking tools not only did she point me to the right direction but opened items from their packaging to make sure it was the proper size and I liked it. So knowledgeable about food items and recommendations.I also love the products they have with such an array of unique treats. Theyre an awesome small business.

2021-05-15Best store for your fur babies! I traveled today now that I moved away just to come get birthday cake and treats for my Gizmos 10th birthday (Shihtzu). James, Krystal and all of the staff are amazing and really care about your pets. They always have a great selection and variety of everything I need for my three pups. I love their doggy birthday cakes and so do my pups! You can always count on getting exceptional customer service. I cant thank them enough for all that they do. Theyre the best in the neighborhood and Im so thankful to the universe they survived 2020!

2021-09-18What first brought me to this store was the amazing products they have. The amazing staff is what keeps me going back. They are amazing and so friendly. They give my pup a treat every time we walk in and he loves when i take him to visit the store. Staff is always so helpful and kind. 10/10 would recommend go support the amazing small business!

My dog LOVES every moment he spends in there because hes spoiled with love. And on top of that, they carry a wide range of quality products for all your pets needs. 2020-09-12My dog has anxiety and finding a groomer that can deal with her is hard but Michelle at Wagging Tails is the only one she is good with AND she gives her the best cuts. She listened to what I wanted for my fur baby. I feel safe dropping her off. Crystal is also very good at recommendations for her sensitive belly. This place runs well, is clean, and has great staff. They have everything you need for your pets. Michelle gets very booked up so book in advance! You wont be sorry. (Excuse my dogs messy creamy treat face).

2021-09-02Wagging Tails is one of the best pet stores in Queens! I’ve been bringing my dog Gino to them for day care for months now and I couldn’t be happier. Crystal is so caring for my pet and also so helpful with any of my questions. The store also has everything you need and the staff is always so helpful. I would recommend them to anyone!
