My parents received COVID vaccine dose 1 this morning. I made their appointments online. There were no lines, we filled our forms and waiting was less than 5 minutes. Both pharmacy personnel: one who gave forms and the vaccine administrator were wearing proper PPE. Very clean environment and they took proper precautions. Overall, it was a seamless visit. I would highly recommend this pharmacy for getting vaccines.Update: my parents had COVID vaccine dose 2 today. Once again, waiting was less than 5 minutes. The vaccine administrator was so nice, gentle, and respectful. She carefully sanitized the area before and after administering the vaccine. Great environment. I would highly recommend this pharmacy.
The cashier this morning was courteous and doing his best to keep the line going but there is ALWAYS a line at this store. Today, there were at least 7 other associates, including the managers, i walked by and everyone was stocking shelves. It seemed like they were all moving so slow and no one thought to put customers first and help the ONE person on register. Poor prioritization and employee management.
They dont have enough cashiers in the store. They always have a long line to check out no matter what time you go in the store. The pharmacy staff is not very helpful. Forget about asking for advice or additional help with insurance cards. The cashiers want to help, but the person over them always says no. Took me three visits and my doctor calling three times to get them to give me my medication. Awful.
I like this particular Walgreens on Jamaica ave it has been there for years.it has always been a go to spot for snacks and stuff for the movies. Especially when the movie theater was open Jamaica multiplex.there candy was way cheaper than the theaters snacks.I have to admit some times the line can be a little long,and ofcourse now do to the whole coronavirus issue. Six feet social distancing, but this spot isnt bad at all .it also has a pharmacy in the back ,and it has a great selection of cards for any occasion.plus the staff was pretty helpful to me.
Worst Walgreens Ive ever stepped into and Ive been coming here for years. The pharmacy dept. is always unorganized and uninformed nobody seems to know whats going on with your prescription. The employees are dismissive & rude, they will say anything to rush you off the phone. This pharmacy used to have really good employees with great customer service but that was years ago, sadly Ill be switching my pharmacy in the near future. They dont even have a parking lot, avoid this pharmacy if you can.
This store doesnt care. Lines are always long, because they only have 2 cashiers. And the store looks junky and sloppy. Prices are double from any other store. Not sure why people go in here. The pharmacy is awful. They dont care about customers. Dont ever need help, because they will ignore you. Because its in the hood doesnt mean it cant be a clean store.
The pharmacys customer service needs alot of work. You have people in pain, people with sick children and people picking up for terminally ill family members and be treated with a rude attitude because you didnt understand what they said it is horrible customer service. And very disrespectful. But im pretty sure this review wont matter because this walgreens is in a black community. Smh
Worse Walgreens I’ve ever been to. The staff is rude and lazy. No one helps you look for your items. Asking for help is pointless because they will tell you to wait and leave you standing there making it seem like if they will be back to assist you. Truly a horrible place but there’s other locations that are much better.
I moved here recently. This Walgreens store is an excellent place to shop, the prices were unbeatable when they were on sale, and this stores pharmacists are fast, friendly and knowledgeable, always helpful with the questions I had. I even saw some prescriptions they dispensed were marked double countedwhich showed they took their responsibility seriously.
Behavior of ALL the merchants in our neighborhood go in cycles toward me in that sometimes they are again, ALL, very pleasant and sometime they;re ALL just horrible, including this Walgreens! However, Im changing my rating to Five Stars because since I first complained about the homeless man who was camped out in front of Walgreens, he has finally decamped.Also, I have discovered a New York City service that is accessible through 311 24/7/365 that comes out to help the homeless 24/7/365 also and arrives in my experience in three hours or so of me calling, although they say they will be out in one hour. So, If you see a homeless person, alert this service to the persons location and they will come.When I had occasion to call this service, by the time they came, the person had decamped. However, they told me they would look for this lady and they did and she told me herself about two weeks later when she came to visit me at my home that they found her and took her to a wonderful shelter in Manhattan on Park Avenue, all of which I really dont believe. This service says that it can take as many as 200 (!) attempts to bring in a homeless person to get help! God bless them! I think this is an excellent service idea and model!I wanted to especially commend here, Mielissa Collado, a manager at this Walgreens whos worked there a long time and who is really helpful to me quickly repeatedly solving any issues I have and pleasantly. Also, a young lady there named, Asra, who has worked there for several years is very helpful and VERY competent always knowing just what to do to solve any issues I have quickly when Im shopping.There are still those who work at Walgreens whom I have some issues with. Especially Teodosia, aka Teddi, and Salema, I think the other ones name is, the former being extremely covertly nasty with both her and Salema lately standing at the front of the store when I come in, Salema doing nothing but silently scowling at me with flared nostrils and Teddi at the cash register. Teddi seems to think shes invulnerable to pain as many in our world do and can get away with such behavior because she thinks its secret and Salema is well aware how vulnerable she is having had the nerve to tell me that I got HER in trouble for complaining about something SHE did wrong in her job duties last year! I will NOT be speaking with or going to the cash register of either of these ladies again because I dont associate with people who think theyre going to do this to me and get away with it! I will avoid them both assiduously!Just so Salmea knows, No one I have ever complained about at Walgreens has ever been fired, including her and Ive been shopping at Walgreens since before her and Teddi were working there!I met a manager yesterday (1/10/18 Wednesday) named Ms. Heron who rang me up and she seems nice. There is even a young man there named, Emanuel, which as many may know means, God with us, which is an excellent name to have and it is an excellent idea to have a worker with such a well-omened name working for ones establishment. I would certainly hire someone with that name over others if they were all equally qualified! Bravo!Keep improving, Walgreens, and I hope for you all as I hope for myself that you have a Happy and Prosperous New Year and all other good things that you deserve!
So today I went to pick up my fedex package and one guy told me it wasn’t back there. So then the manage Djon approached myself and the employee that was helping me . So Djon went to the back and came back out with the same answer , and I said to how can that be where else would it be . I asked him if he could go back and check again and he did and he still cans back with answer and this time he’s telling me that I have to call fedex. So I stood right there in the store and called them , the fedex employee then proceeds to tell me that the package is in the store. So then I see Djon again who is also the manager and I told him that I was the phone the fedex person who’s telling me that my package is here and he proceeds to say that it’s not . So then I asked Djon was there another manager in the store and he said no. So then I went back to the front to the guy who helped me the first time and I asked him was there another manager here who could help me and he said yes. I spoke the other manager who was the front helping with the line , and she’s asked what was the issue and I told her. She said ok let me go to the back to see if it’s there, with in 5 minutes she came back out and said Djon the other manager who couldn’t find it will bring out . She also told me that it was in the office with other boxes. My issue was the customer service that I received from Djon who is a manger , he wasn’t apologetic, he didn’t have sense of urgency when I asked him if he can check again for the package, and he also had a smirk on his face while I was talking to him. But the other manager who was there was VERY helpful .
They always have long lines. Never enough cashiers working. They lock up everything and to get someone to open up the liked items takes them forever to come when they should have someone assigned to open up the locked items or the manager should open them up. They always have the cash registers not working only taking cash. Horrible service.
0 Stars if it were possible. its silly to think it could be racial profiling but unsure why else the lp guy would run in as soon as i enter the store, unsure why the beauty associate was hovering and watching me, unsure why she followed me to the dishwashing aisle. Unsure as to why she knew the things i looked at but didnt observe that i put them back for her to have the nerve to question me about it. this is a large volume store, why they dont rely on their cameras and trained loss prevention agents instead of harassing people trying to buy makeup and other knick knacks is beyond my knowledge - but the store definitely lost a local customer that wasted her day clipping coupons.Hurt that my local drugstore went out of there way to make a loyal customer feel unwelcomed, profiled and a target. Thanks but no thanks. Customers beware, if you wear a hat they will treat you like a dog stealing the food off their plate. I will never return.
I would STAY AWAY from this particular Walgreens located at 15934 Jamaica Avenue, Jamaica, NY 11432. Their cashiers are usually rude for no reason, and act like they do not want to be there. This is by far the WORST Walgreens Ive ever been to. The other Walgreens I have been to at least try with their customer service, maybe this one didnt get the memo. I would have given 0 stars if the option was available.
This store is horrible- the customer service here os terrible. The women that work at this store are nasty, slow and unprofessional. I stood on line for a indong time to load my card and the female swiped the card really hard and then said it doesnt work, Ive loaded my card many times before and had no issue. But this worker did not even sound sincere when she told me her system was down. I went to another line and the woman was adding the amount but because i made a comment about how disappointed i was in black women who have indirectly low attitudes and she then said oh it doesnt work. Thats low.
While in the store an older gentleman urnined on himself,staff was called to clean the area in the pharmacy dept the chair in which he ruined had not been removed. The area hadn’t been sanitized or blocked off, while Iwas there waiting 25mins. for my prescription. I told the clerk twice she call for someone which no came.
It’s okay, I understand it’s a busy area so I can’t get mad over wait time on line but the staff is so rude. I had a coupon and it’s a coupon that supposed to give extra points everytime u shop and she took it away and said I have to keep it for reference. It’s points, it’s not like it’s taking money off 😒. I just told her take the coupon off my transaction and gimme my coupon back.
Today 03/29/2015, I went to Walgreens in Jamaica ave. to pick-up my wifes medications. I did not know were to live my bicycle and the security guard told me to take it with me to the back. At that moment I hear someone screaming; YO,YO,YO,YO, I stop to look behind me,and was confronted by the store manager, I told this person that my name is not YO and that security gave me permission .Well, I am the manager, and I am telling you no. I was offended by the lack of education and mannersalso,surprise that Walgreens would give that responsibility to someone with an manial education. It is a shame.

2022-06-03This store location is out of control with the lines, especially on the weekends. I understand not putting self checkout but this is a very busy store. I saw the checkout reach from the front to the BACK of the store. Walked out. Seems like people do their grocery shopping here.

2019-12-13This is the worst Walgreens I had ever been 12 people in front of me and only 1 teller to take care of the front register, there is is like 4 people in the back to to help take care of the customer but only 1 teller at the register this is horrible and pathetic. Am waited close to 30 minutes to be serve just to buy one thing from the pharmacy in the back ,whether is to buy or pick up this is horrible . The customer complaining the whole time I was there . Horrible and pathetic. Very upset this is everytime I go to this Walgreens..

2019-12-24The right place for your needs and they also have a pharmacy. Its Christmas time and your christmas decorations are here and pretty much a good variety of cosmetics as well. My Sis sent me out on a hunt lol however the cashiers are very friendly and work very fast. Not my first time and of course I will always be going there. Merry Christmas to all.... and a happy new year when it comes 😁👍🏾🎄💯🎊

2021-12-25The staff here is really nice and mind you they have to deal with alot of things. That pharmacy services so many people in a day Its unbelievable Jamaica Avenue would be lost without this Walgreens. They need to hire more people because Jamaica Avenue generates alot of money. Overall great people work there.

2019-10-26Theres never anyone in the aisles to help you, there are however call buttons for help, shelves are reasonably stocked unless an item is on sale where there are limited quantities and a rain check is needed. There is always a line for the cashier.

2018-07-26This place is convenient for me getting some things I need for the house like snacks or beverages and also bathroom items. The customer service I’ve had there was great, the employees were very friendly. One thing that could be annoying is that the lines could be long at times and it just feels sluggish there. So I look for the line before I even pick up anything.

2021-06-29Poor experience all around. I came in to pick up a prescription which my dentist sent. The young woman behind the counter seemed over worked and didn’t know how to explain the fact that my medication had been sent over an hour ago. I’m new to this area however I will not be returning to this location for Pharmaceutical needs. Dealing with people who are in need of your assistance due to health or medical conditions require a certain amount of empathy that this location clearly lacks. No one knows anything nor do they seem to care. I had three people give three different stories as to why my prescription hadn’t been filled.

2021-11-19Had scheduled a flu vaccine and covid vaccine booster. They called a few hours before, which I missed; left no message. No email or other communication. Turned out they were closing early and canceling the appointment, which I wouldn’t have known if I hadn’t called back what looked like a spam call. Was able to come in earlier the same day and get the booster, and only when I was actually getting the shot did they inform me they were out of the flu vaccine and thus no way to get that despite the appointment for it (again, only discovered because I asked about it). Borderline medical malpractice.

2021-10-08The worst pharmacy. The app says prescription is under review. When I call to speak to them 2 days later they tell me that it’s too early to fill the prescription, which isn’t true as it was over 30 days. Then she tells me the pharmacy doesnt have the medication and needs to order it but it will take 5-7 business days. So essentially they received the prescription and never bothered to order the meds. She then tells me that it’s my job to call the pharmacy and tell them to order my meds before the prescription is sent! How!?They were exceptionally rude, apathetic and irresponsible.

2020-08-09This Walgreen always have a long line at the register. The managers should assist cashiers when its crowded. The pharmacy is worst because they refilled one of my prescriptions that I did not request. When I received the medication and call them they forward me to the pharmacy manager who never pick up my call. I called back and left my name and number but she never reach out to me. That was last month. I am planning on using another pharmacy.
