Walmart Auto Care Centers in other cities:
Unfortunately did not have a great experience while getting an oil change today, 11/24/2020. Time vehicle went in was 11:40 AM, time service was completed was 1:09 PM. The service team didnt know what oil to put in vehicle and had to reference multiple books. Makes me second guess their work, but i was assured the oil service was properly done.Price was good, the whole total came out to be $38.39 this includes taxes. There is no sitting room but of course you have an enormous Walmart to browse while waiting.Service Manager & Auto Care Customer Manager needs to keep employees from talking about private information in front of customers. Also the customer service rep definitely needs to be more friendly, it felt like i was a burden trying to get an oil change.
After waiting 45 min to be told to make appt for tire replacement I returned the next evening to be told they dont make appointments that late at 6pm. However per there computer it showed I was correct. I was advised it would take no longer then one hour and would be completed by 7 however this was also false as they didnt start my car untill 635. Long story short 8 pm at nigh sitting in the dark with appointment and they didnt even bother to reset the tire pressure monitor system which is included in service, didnt even tell me which tire needed it . Meaning they just didnt want to do it and I get to start this process all over again.
Horrible. 3hours 45 minutes later first couldnt find tires next found tires. Then they couldnt get off 2 tires so only changed 2 of them.now have 2 good and 2 bad ones on car horrible service woman said she would discount me never did. Also paid 44 more than was quoted. Never never agaun
First of all remember where you are, this is not Jiffy Lube. I would highly recommend that you call ahead and see how their system works. What I learned the hard way and to save you time 1. Make an appointment if you can. No matter how early you get there they honor appointments first, so you can be there all day and they would not tell you anything different. 2. If you want to try your luck, park your car in the lot by the automotive center and go inside and get in line. 3. Then hope that they have more than two mechanics on, Saturday morning, and dont have many appointments scheduled. 4. Also, dont expect any type of quality customer service. The women I had to deal with was rude, unknowledgeable and very condescending when answering your questions. I would not recommend this automotive shop, go and make an appointment, where you can and save your time and patience.
James and the Walmart auto center team are courteous, hard-working professionals. Im sure being an auto tech can be a thankless task at times, but James clearly cares about his customers and their vehicles. Despite a high workload he works as hard as possible to take care of customers in a timely manner. High volumes, and a walk-in business can lead to long wait times, but this has to be expected and has always been clearly communicated with me upfront.
Bought 2 reasonably priced tires for my car. Get there early first come first serve. Fast service. Dont care for there SUV policy you must buy 4 tires, TOLD them to check my other tires depth then tell me I have to buy 4 only needed 2 when they checked. Wondering how many women or not knowledgeable customer they rip off and sell tires they dont need???
Ordered 4 tires with an appointment at 11 to install them... went to get the tires, they were there... and they didnt have a record of my appointment. They also werent accepting walk-ins, which I apparently was. No apologies or anything, I dont even think they believed me. Made the appointment over a week ago and didnt catch the ladies name, so guess I am getting my tires installed elsewhere.EDIT: possibly due to being upset about the appointment, I didnt grab my receipt. Had to grab one other item (tires were paid for already, online, and had stickers on them). Lady at the door rude when stated I didnt have my receipt. Guess who doesnt legally need to prove they own what they own? Everyone, including me. Bye, Felisha
All in all, not the worst experience ever, however; Beware of getting an oil change. I brought my vehicle in for a full synthetic oil change, picked it up after the service, and didnt get 50ft down the road when smoke started billowing from my engine compartment. I open the hood to find oil spilled all over my engine block and down onto my manifold. I trunk around and go back to the garage where they apologized for what Happened and brought it back in to have the oil cleaned off. Everything else was in working order, staff was friendly aside from one grunt mechanic who argued with me that not much oil had been spilt when I can clearly see that a considerable amount was in fact spilled (I did not get his name). I understand that spills happen from time to time, especially when youre trying to get vehicles in and out in a timely fashion, but under no circumstance should my car have been cleared and sent out of that garage after that spill happened. It should have been cleaned up right away and explained to me before I was handed back the keys. Do yourself a favor and give your car a once over check in and out before and after it comes out of the garage. I would have given a 1 star rating if it werent for the quick response and apology from a different mechanic, on top of him cleaning up the rest of that oil to the best of his ability. (Clifton Park, NY, Location). Again, I understand things happen, I just wish that, in this case, they had just owned up to it and cleaned it up without me having to discover it after leaving the garage.
I arrived expecting my tire service to take considerable time after reading the first review from a year ago. This Walmart tire center operates on a first-come-first-serve basis, so they do not take appointments. Therefore, one must be aware that arriving on certain days and times will influence your wait. Luckily, I went on a Monday around midday when they werent terribly busy, and I already had my new tires, so I just needed them mounted and balanced. The service riders treated me courteously, and they did a good job overall. The one thing that cannot be beaten was their price. After tax I spent $55.64 for the installation of four low-profile tires. Adirondack Tire quoted me $85.60 out the door, and Warren Tire wanted around $120 for the same job.
I thought I was being too sensitive, but my boyfriend asked me if the clerk had been rude to me. He had observed her checking me in. I did feel like she was kind of mean. It was just really unpleasant. She is older with short dyed blond hair. The mechanic on the other hand was super friendly.
I wish I could give the mechanics 5 stars and th service zero stars. This older woman with long white hair is consistently at the counter and she tries to get us to go elsewhere instead of there. As if she is the person working on the vehicles. We were told we have a gouge in our tire by the mechanic, so they couldn’t plug the nail hole. So she signed us out and tried to send us on our way. I said, “no I don’t want to die on the highway, I would like to replace the tire.” And she said that the warrantee wouldn’t cover it- without any knowledge of cars- and having never looked at our tire. She huffed and puffed so hard and long I thought she was going to pass out.
I was at the Auto parts section to get my oil changed and this little old lady was so rude. Andvthen she gave me my keys back and moved people ahead of me for service. I waited 45 mins and asked to leave she said i have to get your (she said the D for damn and cut it off). I told her I would get my own keys. I was raised to respect my elders but I am not going to let that go. BLACK FOLKS stop shopping these racist establishments that continue to hire these folks.5
They plugged a tire on my jeep and a few days later 2 lugs BROKE OFF, 1 nut was almost lost. After a telephone conversation, then driving there the next morning (taking time without pay) they were unable to repair the jeep and fought with me insisting they did not cause this. They do not pay for the repairs, we must and then possibly get reombursed!!! I will NEVER AGAIN use this particular automotive repair at this walmart.
Went in for an oil change was told a half hr 45 min . Lets just say im still in my car waiting a half hour later , they havnt even taken in my car yet 30 minutes later. I ask the mechanic what was taking so long and they forgot to drain the oil pan. How do you forget when you know you have customers waiting? Horrible. I watch they way they work in the shop and they all just sit around and talk ... Never will i come back.

2022-02-20I had an appointment yesterday, I got there about 15 minutes early, handed over my keys, the customer service was out of this world. I went on my way to go do some shopping... half an hour later, I get called over the loud speaker at Walmart asking to return to the auto center. The woman told me that they couldn’t work on my car and told me she would get the tech so he could explain. The tech comes out and tells me that he couldn’t put my van on the lift because the bottom is badly rusted. Okay, so I purchased the tires anyhow and brought them to a different place to have them put on the van. You’re telling me that you laid on the snowy ground and looked under my van to see that it was rusted? Or were you going by the little rust that I have on the doors not wanting to do your job. There was no issue with them other place putting the van on the lift, AT ALL. It just goes to show how much these people at Walmart auto don’t want to do their jobs. That is all. Thanks again Walmart for the poor services.

2022-06-15The longest tire rotations you’ll ever experience. Expect to be there 1.5 hrs minimum, even for the simplest things.

2021-12-29The Walmart Auto Center is totally incompetent. I had an appointment for 4 new tires and I was still waiting an hour and a half past the appt time. After asking why my car was still in the lot, the scheduling person who went into the bays, came back and said nobody is working back there! I asked for my car keys and left. 2 minutes later they sent a text saying items were not in stock which was completely untrue. They were just covering up their lousy service. They lost over $600 of my business and apparently dont care. I will never do business with Walmart again.

2021-05-21Overall great experience. I got 4 tires and an oil change done. They completed the work faster than I was quoted or expected, especially for being a walk in like I was. The cashier was polite and professional with a good sense of humor, even though it seemed she was having a rough day. Price was well within budget, for 4 tires and an oil change I paid $305.

2021-09-15SLOW service!! I came here right after getting a flat tire on my way home from work, asked the desk if they could plug the tire, and put it back on. I was told by this man, “It shouldn’t be over an hour, we’ll send you a text when it’s ready.” I thought, ‘okay great’. Almost 2 and a half hours later I was still sitting in the waiting room for these clowns. 0/10 do NOT recommend this place, I will never be returning here ever again.

2021-07-31Was there twice this week. The one woman working at the counter was very rude. Was told over the phone to bring my car in cause it had a flat tire and I could bring it in when I got there the grouchy old woman was rude. My husband brought it in today to get a different tire put on and the same woman told him 4 hours even though there was one car in front of him and she was rude. They definitely should replace their customer service cause one was clueless and the other one was rude and miserable. Not going back there.

2021-11-26I ordered a set of tires online to be delivered to the automotive department, and called to make an appointment to have them installed, but the service associates neglected to answer the phones. Inconvenient to have to travel to the store to have a minute conversation about a future service. Thanks

2021-12-30Had an appointment for 1, told me it’d be half an hour. They didn’t start on my car until 2. No one was wearing masks, and takes forever for anyone to help or acknowledge you at the counter. Won’t be coming back
