Never enough employees at the registers. Ever. Workers always in the rooms chatting up other employees rather than working. Workers will literally leave their cart right in the middle of the aisle or walk way and it impedes the process of getting people in and out quickly. A lot of the workers are slow as shi* and apparently think you dont have other things to do so they take 20 mins to scan your items while trying to conversate about things that dont concern them... Terrible.
Monday January 8, 2018 every cart in the store was in the parking lot instead of inside, grocery shelves were not stocked well and not straightened or faced. Produce department was horrible, not fresh, not stocked, limes were rock hard. Only thing I would have bought in the Produce department would have been Bananas. I have been in retail for 30 years and was completely unimpressed with this location of WalMart. This would be the Canandaigua WalMart.
My favorite Walmart that’s located near my primary address (home). It’s large enough that you can almost be certain that they’ll have the exact food, toy, home decor, supplies, equipment, or other commodities you want or will have something similar to it. Similarly speaking, the Walmart isn’t TOO big that you easily get lost, have trouble locating items/areas within a department, or are unable to locate an employee. It’s just the right size with knowledgeable workers and a range of customers.
Went the Canandaigua Walmart early this morning to beat the crowds, needless to say I was disappointed while looking for items and the shelves werent properly stocked. Found 1 item ready for checkout and the self checkouts were the only ones open. I go to use them for 1 item now it says wait for attendant, then 2 more checkouts are saying the same thing. 3 out of 4 self checkouts were waiting for attendants. No attendants were found or in the area. I wasnt very patient this morning and after waiting for a bit I left and shopped someplace else.
For those of you that dont know, this is absolutely, hands down the BEST Mayonnaise available, trust me, I grew up with Hellmanns and luved it! That being said, the Canandaigua Walmart is the only store in Upstate NY that carries Dukes. So, go get yourself some and try it out.
Has a some of almost everything.The only thing I hate about Walmart and other big box stores is there is only 1 or 2 non self checkout lanes open but 10 self checkouts open. It seems that every big box store wants you to use self checkout now. Maybe its because Im getting old and I dont use cards and payment services like venmo, apple pay, ect.A lot of us still use cash and would appreciate not having to stand in line for 30 minutes because were not using self checkout
We went here for there fall festival. What a joke. We took the ski lift to the top and they only had like 3 vendors at top. So we followed a sign that said Cafe to left. We walked and walked and didnt realize it was almost back down at the bottom of the hill. Then they had beer. Water. And baked goods. What a waist of a walk. When we got to the bottom there were like 7 craft vendors and 4 food trucks. The band was playing but they had no where to sit. Whoever is running this garbage needs to be found a new job. Dont advertise this and have so little. Thousands of acres and nothing to do. You can do way better at setting up and finding vendors. Very dissatisfied. Wouldnt recommend to anyone. Just a waste of time.
Customer service was great. The 3 stars is because the grocery section is set up backwards. They have the frozen items in the far back of the store. So, instead of getting your ice cream last, you get it first. This doesnt make sense. Or, you have to remember to go back there after youre done. Its just more convenient, and makes more sense for the frozen area to be up front near the bread and produce.
Long line at registers.... you are trapped ... oh well it sucksctobhave nearlyv20 b registers and only 3 open ... not really making customers happy and paperbbags rip when cashier put them in cart when packing bags .. but they still charge you for a new bag .... really seems to be rip off to the customers
I never go to a Walmart unless it is the only place I can buy a product. Everytime I go the cashier lines are so long I use the self checkout. I think they purposely do this so more people use the self checkout in frustration. I must say however that the employees have always been pleasant.
Its Walmart. Whats there to expect? Now that shelves and merchandise have been scattered throughout the store it is difficult finding anything. You want to get in and get out. AND as for help, I was told... Use the app! Its a joy shopping with my cell phone.One bright spot though. Veronica, shes a cashier. Shes a gem! Pleasant personality, accommodating, cheerful. Shes the the kind of person who clearly enjoys life and happiness.
I use their pick up service and theyre so good about it. My produce is always great and they do really good on substitutions. Would fully recommend to anybody!The inside of the Canadaguia store is really nice but it is always busy and there are always lines, but the workers are really helpful!
I purchased a brother CE1125PRW sewing machine for full price and without any labels that it may be used, and when opening it at home there was a ton of hair, dust and candy wrappers in the box. Alongside a broken needle and bundles of thread. Honestly seems like they took the machine out of a used box and put it into a brand new one because I never would’ve suspected anything from the outside.
That is for there tire center. I wouldn’t even give one star they deserve zero why you ask??? When I went to get oil changes they charged me for the oil filter an additional $15.00 2x And guess what my car was leaking oil. So I went elsewhere and they told me your oil filter is quite dirty!!! Well after that oil change my car didn’t leak oil anymore!!! Hmmmm you do the math….yep got ripped off…
I want to give this location 5 stars. It is the largest Walmart in the area, it is always clean, and has items you wont find at other area stores. With that said, there are NEVER enough cashiers to get out of the store in a reasonable amount of time. I consider myself to be a patient person, but cannot bring myself to wait in the ludacris lines at this store any longer. The self check out routinely has a line spanning well in to the clothing section (wait time for self checkout was just as bad, if not worse, than that of the registers).
Rarely go here. Often low quality items that do not last.Most recently, went looking for a open storage container. $20.00... it was the cheapest wood, flimsy sides. Bought it to essentially rebuild it, because it was already falling apart. Cashiers arent paid enough to care, so they made no fuss and charged me full price... Shouldve been a clearance item...
I went there to buy a chest freezer, I did get one but the associates have radios so they can get someone there to help you, well this gentleman by the name Marty called over the radio for about 10 minutes, NO ONE ever replied back to him so he helped me out with getting an L cart for the freezer. He was very nice and professional, even apologized to me that no one came over to help. I told him that his help and very friendly communication was very pleasant. Then I waited over 30 minutes in line just to check out. I ONLY had the freezer. They seriously need more staff, well actual cashiers that will work and not just standing around
I enjoy Walmart just as much as the next person, but having 6 registers open with 20 people in each line in the middle of the day, isn’t an enjoyable experience. Feels like they’re pushing everyone towards self-checkout, but that line is even longer. And recently they completely changed the whole store around and now not only do I not know where half of anything is, but either do most of the employees lol. Plus a lot of the employees improperly wear their masks.Aside from that, I love Walmart regardless and 98% of the employees are wonderful and very polite.
Im not a Walmart expert, buy have been in a couple. Usually I try to avoid it when possible if Im being honest, but this particular store in Canandaigua, NY is actually pleasant. Its usually pretty busy, but the staff seems to do a really good job keeping the store organized and clean. The associate are always friendly too.
So I love Walmart. I could live there && I go there very often. My thing is the office supplies and arts and craft isles. Normally it’s well kept and restocked often but lately it has been a complete disaster. I waited a bit to say anything hoping it would be fixed but nope, every time I go there it’s a mess. Notebooks just shoved back onto the shelf, empty boxes all over, haven’t restocked the pens in forever! I always want to just take everything down && fix it up since their clearly not doing it. Get it together so I can come back and enjoy Walmart.
Did not have yarn I wanted. I looked online to order it from them and they wanted about $25 for a skein I can get at the store! Rip off. Im going to keep looking elsewhere. I went and traveled to 2 Wal-Marts and Joanne Fabrics and no one has what they just had before. They dont carry cds much. I like cds better. Their electronic section is huge but has nothing.
I think they have nothing better to do with employees than to reorganize and change the order of all the groceries. I make a list every month based on order of store so I shop fast... In and out, never fails that I have to stop and find an employee and ask where they put some food or household items I am looking for. They change restock to daytime... Huge mistake now we have to get are restockers in the isles and most of the shelves are empty of food you want that would have been there had a night stocker been on to do his job.
Like the concept of grocery pickup with kids when it’s actually working to pay online and when they actually have the items in stock that I order. And ordering fresh produce is no good because the last two or three watermelons I ordered were semi rotten and soft pretzel bites I just picked up are out of date. But they won’t just come back out to the car to get them I would have to take them into the service desk. That’s not happening right now because I have my kids with me and that’s an inconvenience. So I’ve about had it with Walmart even though the convenience is good.
Everything especially in grocery has been moved..Consistently out of stock of many items..Many employees not wearing masks..Employees standing around in self checkout instead of wiping checkouts down..according to one employee today she only wipes down after every third customer, last weekend they werent wiping down at all..Do they only do it when they know they are being watched by a manager? What a joke! Do they CV really deserve the $300.00 bonuses Walmart has been giving them? My thought is NO!
I am just not a fan of Walmart. I get in and out as quick as possible. Its not the staff that bothers me. It is the other customers. No one follows the route directions. People are wearing masks on chins. Its a very rude atmosphere. However the store is spotless very well organised and they have a bathroom attendent that is constantly cleaning.
We were able to be helped by a man named Nelson at the pickup center of this Walmart! He was very kind and helpful when getting our pickup and helped us even when it was very cold outside! He wheeled out our pickup and quickly and carefully helped us put in our vehicle!
Walmart is ALWAYS hiring. I go to Walmart for mainly everything we need. Except, I have spent hundreds of dollars at other stores to avoid spending a longer amount of time in line than I do for my entire shopping trip. There is only two lanes open with a cashier, and then self check out. This is a crock. I shop myself, and have to check MYSELF out while he observed by a PAID EMPLOYEE? I don’t understand why there are multiple check out lanes, and as I stand here 12 employees standing and chatting by the clothing while the lines are backed up and blocking people. If you’re being paid 15.50 starting pay then you should be required to work. Not just be physically present. I’m doing more work as the customer than any of these employees, yet I’m not being paid for it. I’m spending my hard earned money to do their job for them. Walmart is close. But honestly, the deals aren’t worth hours upon hours doing more work when I can easily go somewhere else. I will put my items back and I am leaving. Walmart, you’ve lost a paying customer. Congratulations. Maybe if more people were able to see this blatant stupidity and pointless employment of your team members, you’d lose more customers and eventually be forced to work yourself.
Scanner was horrible and almost locked me out of my card...But the cashier moved me to another register just before that happened....But knowing the Scanner had a problem I think they should have maybe shut that line down and moved to another Scanner?!...Just a little
This location had plenty of staff AND inventory! The staff was friendly and helpful when I was looking for a marked down clearance item. They had new inventory out and restocking rather early in the evening which was refreshing to see. Usually when I go in the evening to a location (not this one) everything is bought out and not being stocked until 3rd shift. Cashier was polite and interactive.
Who is the Genius manager of the Canandaigua, NY 14424 store? You can walk around the entire store and see 5-6 employees doing nothing but standing around. Go to the register to cash out and they only have 3 tellers open with a line of 10 deep or more each line. The self checkout even longer line.Seriously? Needs new management desperately.
Id rather yell the manager, but it seems this is the only alternative.I sa online that they had some fragrance I wanted, and Canandaigua had it. I tried in vain to order curbside pick-up, so I went to get iryself.At 6:30 pm, I saw the product. It was behind locked glass. I pushed the assistance button....one, five minutes later... twice...and again and again.Went to.tbe service desk, waied to tell the clerk what I needed. She asked another lady in a yellow best to help me. She went right from the service desk, and headed left for parts unknown. The perfume was to the right..N
I love this store. You can find absolutely everything here. Even though it is usually busy, they have plenty of registers and two self checkouts . from my experience, the bathrooms are always clean. I have never had any issues with the groceries or produce. They have a great selection of clothing.
Extremely difficult to find the motorized carts. Once you do, they have dead batteries.Very frustrating.Many times I have seen children riding them to racing their friends.Most of the employees are very pleasant. The older gentleman in the Photo Department definitely needs to go through training. He took 30 minutes before helping 3 of us waiting for his assistance. Its quite obvious he doesnt like his job.The managers are extremely pleasant and helpful. Gabriel has gone far and beyond to make my visit pleasant.I always ask the cashiers to smile, because there are some of us dont get out often, and their smiles are the only ones we see.
Was in here a couple of days ago... Normally I would not go to Walmart but I needed to stop by quick for a new pair of socks. Grabbed some beverages and food while I was there to. Was looking for a line to checkout in... I choose poorly. The cashier ringing me out managed to get caught in small talk and rang my stuff up with the person in front of me. Led to a ton of issues and had to wait for a manger. Ended up being a 30 min wait in line...
I was very happy with Wal-Mart today. My husband ordered something online and I went in to pick it up. The counter for pick-ups is at the very back of the store...but the woman at the counter was incredibly cheerful and efficient.The best part, though: she said that the store is making a space for the pick-up counter at the front of the store, and adding groceries. We will be able to order groceries on the app, and come in to pick them up. Her enthusiasm was contagious and I simply CANT WAIT TO DO THAT!
Nicely laid out, friendly staff, wider variety of stock than my local Walmart. Also, my local Walmart doesnt have fresh produce that is as fresh, nor the same variety. I understand that the demographics from store to store dictates what each store carries. This one caters to a more discerning clientele.
Yesterday, May 4th, I went to do my monthly grocery shopping and when I entered the store I was very impressed by the improvements made that were made in regards to this covid-19 and social distancing . There were proper social distancing measures taken and shoppers were all wearing masks. Kudos for that.But the reason you only get 1 star is because even though you took extra measures to keep shoppers safe with 6 foot marks and arrows in the aisles many shoppers were ignoring them, going any which way they please.Would it be too much to ask that you make a public service announcement every few minutes to remind shoppers to look down and follow the arrows.As a result I did not get everything I came into the store for. Please find it in your hearts to please make those announcement. At that time I will give you 5 stars.Thank you.
Today was busy and I had to wait a bit for someone to bring out my pick up order. She said that another girl had looked for me but couldnt find me. This girl first went to a black vehicle to see if was me. The color of our vehicle should show! Also the other night I went at 6:30 to do a pick up. The app wouldnt log me in so I called to let them know I would be there in about 15 minutes. I got there in 10, waited another 15 and had to call again. The girl that brought out my order informed me they were too busy cleaning and getting ready to close to watch for customers. Really?? That is poor customer service and poor training
Convenient location, however, we walked the store twice. Just wish the stores were all set up the same. This location has merchandise on the right and grocery items on the left. Other local Walmarts Ive been to are just the opposite. Had difficulty finding the pet food section as there was no signage.
I spent 1 hour today making a shopping list, on line, to pick up at store. I finally completed it and went to check out and it said that I couldn’t pick up today but I could pick up tomorrow. That would be great except I needed groceries for dinner tonight. Why wouldn’t they tell you that before the person did their shopping. I am partially handicapped and was very excited about this service. It sucks.
10:00pm on a week night and the only registers open were speedy checkout and self serve. Normally I wouldnt mind except I had a cart full of groceries which I checked out myself. There isnt ample space to put loaded bags. The 2 yokels standing around talking could have opened a normal register. Im quite certain it doesnt take 2 guys to monitor the self checkout area.
I like this Walmart there’s absolutely a lot to choose from and it is a very big store. So a big storm with lots of options. This store also offers a tire and lube part of the store too. Plus a Pharmacy as well. And a Eye Center. There is a lot of store to navigate and a lot of store to get used to. Recently moved here and very impressed with the staff here. Keep it up and I really enjoy it.
Its a Walmart.Its pretty uniform.Mostly good service, fairly clean.I dont like that they did away with the most needed item of Hunter green scrub pants which are mandatory for a large amount of the employment opportunity in this town.And I have had several unpleasant experiences with the patronage because there are some very creepy men who like to frequent the place, but that cant really be helped and isnt there fault.I just prefer not to go at certain times of night now.
You have to get there at the beginning of the month because when you want Spices or a certain thing you wanna buy sometimes the shelves are whiped clean, for people who have chase cards their card may get declined for some reason its not your fault its their system so if u wanna take out money its a 3.00 penalty and the atm wont let you take out 40 it wants you to take out more so be careful, its just by experience.
Not a good place to shop they will rip you off they will also charge you double on your receipts worst place to ever shop never shop at this place their prices are way too high if you are looking for some good electronics go to wish.com has the cheapest electronics that the world has to offer you want fresh food you can get very good produce at Wegmans
Wal-Mart has mostly everything you need and want for reasonable prices! :) The customer service has always been exceptional when shopping and checking out at the register. I love that they have so much produce and its usually always fresh. The clearance isle is cool too! I usually find random things I need for, sometimes, a THIRD of the original price! Keep it up, Wal-Mart. :)
We were told that due rate the high volume of orders for pick up, they would not be able to fill ours. When we went into the store to inquire about the refrigerator, it was in a cart in the room waiting for delivery to our car. Then upon further investigation, discovered we had already paid for it but could not have the refrigerator unless we paid for it again since the original order had been canceled. And the payment would take 5 to 7 days to be returned to the account. Nope not shopping at that store again EVER!!
How dare the grocery stores in our area not enforce the mask policy. This is our food supply chain! I hope you get fined, I beg you to change the enforcement of masks. You capitalistic cowards! Endangering everybody! This is all of Ontario & Monroe County grocery stores. Ashamed of where I live right now. UPDATE: Its now past the start of the mask policy and 5 people just walked in without a mask.
One of the dumpiest Walmarts I’ve ever had the displeasure of shopping in. From the gross entryway, broken up parking lot, to the dimly lit and poorly cleaned shopping areas I don’t really know where to begin. Oh I know, their “customer service” line is constantly busy.UPDATE:This store still sucks. 45 minutes to check out is ridiculous. It’s 3:30 on a Friday afternoon, there are 4 registers open and the express line looks like the DMV
Lots of directional stickers and signs on the floors to aid in social distancing during the pandemic, however many people dont follow them. Most of the employees Ive seen are certainly wearing masks many shoppers are not. There are still several areas throughout the store where the shelves are bare, like the pasta aisle the tomato sauces and boxed macaroni and cheese.
This is a good Walmart. Everything basic youd expect from a Walmart Supercenter, and normally good stock and selection. The workers have always been pleasant and helpful, too. I feel like this store is cleaner and better maintained than some of the other nearby Walmart stores.
This Wal-Mart was very clean, organized, and had plenty of helpful staff including Veterans. This was one of the best Wal Marts that I have been to. The folks I came across seemed to be down to earth, real, respectful people unlike the city stores I loathe to shop at (sorry Rochester).
I need to get their employees better situated so they can come to the cash registers when they get a store for people they should go down and watch how Wegmans operate those people are not only efficient theyre very polite to stores always clean if you need something all you have to do is ask I figure out a store for people they got all their employees on the register because theyre there to serve the public and they know that and the batter they serve the public the betters their companies going to do have a Merry Christmas to all of you and thank all of you were serving the public in their time of need I realized but all these people are moms fathers Sons and Daughters of somebodys and theyre putting their own health at risk hanging out with so many people and everybody be should be super thankful for that and dont forget to put some money in the pot when you go in and out of the store during the holidays even if its only pennies or dimes people like me got the benefits of those past when I was a little boy I never forget to put money in the pot even when I dont have much
Pam the cashier #15 was very rude to me. I dont put up with that nonsense. She could of been nice about it. saying No no cant go there well the the gate should of been closed. when I went to look at the vape tanks. The employees should have respect for the customers.
I go to this store because it is the closest to my home and the prices are less than those at Tops. I have found that most of the time the employees are not happy but it does not seem like the company really cares if their employees are happy so I dont take their actions personally. If I could get the same prices at a different store I would not shop here.
Walmart is walmart good items great prices. Only issue i have is with the rude cashiers. We all understand you might not like your job but there is no reason to be nasty. Maybe if walmart paid their employees more they would be so ryde to the customers that oay you billions of dollars a year. All in all the store is cleab easy to find what you need but lousey lousey service.
Its Americas One-Stop shopping experience. Good prices for most items. Some prices however are ridiculous. Theyre selling an Apple for over a dollar.I wont buy them because I can get them in my local grocery store for $0.79 a pound. Have to be careful what you buy. Some good prices on many other items. Another example of price gouging is Thomass bagels from the makers of Thomass English muffins. They were on an end cap unmarked price you would have thought it was a good deal. One package was over my local grocery store for another brand a dollar fifty. Just make sure you get what you want at the price you need.
The staff are very rude when you have questions to ask. I was not at all pleased tonight when I went in. I waited in line like any other customer just to ask a simple question and the cashier was very rude. She sent me to customer service which they were rude as well. I must have gone in at the wrong moment but it is very poor customer service in my opinion. I left and chose to go to Wegmans instead. obviously nothing is going to come of this review but at least I am able to get it off my mind.
After we called there today and found wit a manager of 14 years over a check sent to the establishment. Paying for a computer. This manager isnt properly trained because after 2 hour of having him tell me that Wal-Mart doesnt take checks through the mail. He finally found it but never offered an apology for being wrong
We go to Wal-Mart every 2 weeks. We spend a lot of cash here. Today we came in (been awhile) and purchased $300 worth of groceries. We always use Self Checkouts because cashiers put one item per bag and/or crush our bread. Today, the self Checkouts lady, Pat (yellow vest, purple shirt, older) kept harrasing us over the checkout. She kept badgering us saying we werent doing it right and counting our items. We both got annoyed that she kept badgering us over nothing and bagging items we did not want bagged together (the entire point of self Checkouts). This woman had a serious problem with associating young people with stealing.
Its Wal-Mart, so the usual subpar experience. Only had one 20 item or less lane open at the time so I had to wait 5+ mins. Saw some employees riding electronic carts and one dressed in a Monsters Inc outfit in the front of the store for whatever reason; I think they could have been put to better use elsewhere.
Recently my wallet fell out of my purse and was graciously found by a very honest local resident and veteran. This kind person brought my wallet to the Wal-Mart Customer Service Desk where stated they would lock it in a vault in the side office. The kind person responded well obviously this is a customer as I had a receipt in the wallet from Wal-mart Pharmacy and had made other purchases online. The kind person wanted them to contact me to inform me that my Wallet was found and where I could find it. Wal-mart refused to this and said its finders keepers if its not collected. The kind person was so enraged by the clerk and mangers response he drove over to Lowes where I had another receipt from to have them call me.Im so happy and feel so blessed that this person went above and beyond the call of duty. Its regained my faith in humanity. My faith in Corporate America and Wal-mart more specifically has diminished to the point I have cancelled all future purchases with this company and location! I guess you shouldve taken the 5 minutes to call me; especially when the phone number is in your computer system with other personal data that you sell.
Waaah, boo-hoo! Long lines not enough cashiers, she was a little short with me with my stupid Petty question! Really? They got to keep their prices down somehow whiners if you dont like it go somewhere else quit your crying! Id be a little short-tempered too if I had to deal with a bunch of self-entitled Prix like yall! Just saying...
Tonight in electronic I went up to this guy who worked there and ask him I like to buy the TCL Roku tv. I showed him it. I notice the box is not in good chape. I told him not this tv but the one behind it. the nerve of him said to me you get the one I give you or complain about it.What rudeness. Employees Name is Cody. He rung me up. The box is torn very badly I dont know if everything is in the box. This is a complaint To the employee who is very rude and didnt care about costumers. I paid for the TV and my family mobile phone card. Im not happy with the TV and the employee at all. I like them to come to my home with a fresh box with the same tv. I have no way bringing it back for exchange. Twice an a employee was rude to me but I let it go. now I will complain and write a review about it.
Heather works inside the salon at SmartStyle. Shes a great stylist. She does nice haircuts, colors, highlights/lowlights & waxing. :-)Wal-Mart actually has decent fish that our family has had for over a year now. They should feed them more & the employees dont know much about them. Overall the store itself is clean & well stocked. The employees who Ive dealt with are friendly & helpful.
Im giving you guys one star for how you handled the incident today at 5pm exactly in the line you buy cigarettes. So today a woman in line complains something was wrong with the receipt then starts cursing the guy in front of me says its not that serious trying to calm her down shes tells him to F off then threatened him so then the woman behind me says please dont say stuff like that we dont wanna hear that shes call her a B then threatens to wait for her outside the parking lot and cursing at her do then one of the employees gets in the way to diffuse the situation but then gives the trashy woman a 20 dollar gift card to diffuse the situation then I say your giving this woman a gift card for being trash he says Ill do it to prevent a fight Im thinking okay that kinda makes sense in a alternate universe but heres how I look at it and the prior in line who agreed with me this woman threatened two people and you reward her with a 20 dollar gift card o have to say I have never been more disappointed with Wal-Mart sad thing is this was my favorite Wal-Mart but after that no cause what they should of done is call the police right then and there period end of story not reward this woman with a gift card and if you had seen her you would of known instantly she was trash and sure enough was by far my worst experience at a Wal-Mart by far!
I was at Canadaigua Walmart yesterday (8/20) while shopping there were two young children. One was about four years old and one was about seven years old. The older boy had a mens leather belt and was snapping it in a threatening manner. The children were running all over the store, I mean for real... all over. Parents nowhere to be seen.Im surprised that Walmart would be ok with this, they must have insurance concerns, if the kids get hurt or their actions cause an accident. ~~ Im also surprised that the loss prevention department is alright with these kids freely taking whatever they want and knocking it over, tearing at it, getting the clothes dirty etc....It makes other shoppers upset and Im sure Walmart doesnt want that.
Went to the electronics section of the store. Browsed for 1 minute before tech expert asked if I needed help, after saying no, they continued to go on a 15 explanation about verizon, I tried to leave the conversation multiple times but he continued to talk, and started recommending me other employees to talk to. Do not plan on returning to the canandaigua Walmart supercenter for goods ever again.
I ordered a cake 3 weeks ago for my daughters 5th birthday (today is when I said Id pick it up). Each time I said something I wanted, the girl taking the order would repeat it while writing it down. We live in Palmyra and the party is in Penn Yan, so its easier just to pick it up on our way to the party. We get there and realize we forgot our slip which we didnt look at which is our fault. I give them what the cake is and the name I put it under. 5-10 mins later she comes back and says she doesnt have a cake for us! She looked through some paper work and said that the lady wrote it down for the 26th! The cakes not even ready yet!! So I get a bit annoyed bc we have no back up cake and my daughter knew we got her a shopkins cake! So I asked the worker what can we do? She said she didnt know. She would talk to a manager. This women was not synthetic or sorry in the least. Then the manager comes I explained to him the whole thing. He said the best they can do is 10%off (I didnt want any money off until I realized we had to come all the way back out from penn yan) I told him to forget it Ill see what Tops can make under such short notice. He asked the worker how much the cake cost she said 41$. He then told me that hed give me 50% off (to cover the gas to get back and forth) I agreed and asked the women how long until it was ready so I could send someone out to pick it up, she said however long it takes the cake to thaw😑. Well Im hoping that when I pick it up its not just slopped together.... I gave 2 starts bc of the male manager. He was extremely sympathetic and polite. If it werent for him I wouldve given less stars and contacted headquarters. Sorry so long I wanted to gave as much detail as I can. I will update when I get the cake.
I went to Walmart to cash a check. The website said you can for a 4$ charge. Oh well. I got there and went to service desk only to be told they do not. It was a waste of my time and a huge disappoinment. Walmart needs to either update their information or start cashing checks like they say.

2021-12-06Fist visit to this location. Off jump we noticed that they sell a lot more things then any of my local Walmarts. We were able to find paintball guns, paintballs, and the larger filled containers of CO2.The place was huge but the setup was kinda confusing. The employees actually asked me if I needed help and It was also wonderful to have an actual cashier cash us out and she was super friendly.I definitely recommend this location. If youre looking for something your local Walmart should have but doesnt this place probably does.

2022-06-19Went to go and buy a fish tank that they said was in stock on the app when we went to the aisle come to find there were no fish tanks to see so we went and tried to find a worker she looked like a manager and she wasn’t very busy so we asked her if there were any other places they could be we got a response with nothing but just attitude and rudeness basically wanting us to just leave so we ended up going to customer service got ignored by 2 workers for 10 minutes until one lady finally walked up and asked what we needed she also gave us lots of attitude and only asked someone else for assistant in the pet area we finally found someone decent enough to check for us and guess what they did have the tank just would’ve made it a million times easier if half the workers weren’t insanely rude wish I could say this is my only bad experience here honestly Walmart sucks

2022-06-10Probably the worse service around. Never registers open, the longest lines for self checkout. Have I mentioned how long it takes for pick up. Roughly 15 min wait just for them to bring groceries out. With only 1 other car there (yes I checked in before getting there) meanwhile they bring out orders to cars that arive after you. So many substitutions, or they delay your order. Great customer service Walmart. Not to mention some employees like to drop the products you purchase on the ground..

2022-05-11I went to Walmart at 2:00 in the afternoon. I have a leg injury. I went to try and find a scooter. There were none on the pharmacy entrance side. A Walmart employee was plugging one it and it was dead. He wore a yellow vest. He never offered to find one for me. I limped out. Went to wegmans! They have more scooters.

2022-05-02Better than it has been in over 6 mos.Shelves were stocked with what I normally purchase. I am surprised to see how much improvement has been put in place. The store looked neat, organized. Good job! Canandaigua walmart!

2022-03-13Terrible service from DEB at the register. Very rude my roommate was using her EBT card. And DEB her response was food stamps and my roommate ran her card for her food 3 times put in pin she says nothing on it what do you want me to do. So i just paid cash. We went right over to customer service they checked her card $ 117.22 came up on the card. DEB NEEDS A BETTER ATTITUDE OR FIND ANOTHER JOB AND CHANGE HER NAME TO KAREN.

2022-06-07Very good store wont recomend going for your fishing license there due to never finding someone in that area when you have things to do but if you have time go for it.

2022-07-022 cashiers open at least 20 shoppers at each open cashier and line at self check out was almost to bake goods west of produce. Asked to speak to manager took 30 minutes to check out never saw manager. Will never set foot in that bldg again
