Walmart Supercenter in other cities:
Its enormous. It was crowded, but there were no lines. I was able to find everything I was looking for. Some things did not have prices visible anywhere, but I found someone to help with that. All of the staff that I interacted with were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.
Beginning of the month crowded as usual, wayyyy to many people foe the amount of check outs open....or wayyyyy to little amount of checkouts open for the amount of people there...how does that go again? 🤪Most things were in stock, store was fairly organized & clean, cashiers and attendants were all very nice and helpful..All WAYYYYY better than the Amsterdam location EVER could say for itself on their best day..🤑💸IF YOU PLAN ON USING CASH $$💰 💵Pleaseeee DONT make the same mistake I did and wait in an atrociously long line, scan & bag your items only to find out that particular register NO LONGER ACCEPTS CASH 🤬😡...Im pretty sure NONE of the self checkouts accept cash anymore and there are certain staffed registers that are also card ONLY and there are NO SIGNS ANYWHERE indicating this (here or Amsterdam) so just be make sure to ask an attendant before going through all of this only to have to pack up, find a new atrociously long line to wait in and do it all over again..🙄😡
I give Walmart a 3 out of 5 for a store that has just about everything a person could need at low costs and good quality, but I think it needs to expand its electronic department it seems to shrink rather then expand year after year with mostly offering TVs and thats the reason I gave it a 3 out of 5 or I probably would of gave it a 4. Also offering a year round lay away was nice to have something they only offer in the winter season now. I feel it should be offered all the time as it once was b4. Otherwise its a store that has everything you need for a reasonable price I believe if they keep there prices low and reasonable and broaden there selection of electronics they will do well! Thats Leons quality and consumer report about Walmart! Good luck shopping and never give up finding yourself just the right thing!
This store was decently stocked. Was also pretty clean. Three carts I grabbed had problem wheels, but fourth cart worked fine. Associates at the door, 3 of them, were standing around cussing and throwing around the f bomb about some personal drama. I thought this was a classy joint...obviously not. Lines were long, although Easter is next weekend.
We were on vacation and thought Walmart would be a quick easy way to get our groceries. Not at this store. The deli staff was friendly but REALLY slow. Many empty shelves, lots of missing items...Rude fellow customers.Very nice cashier but literally took me 25-30 minutes to get through the line. Not so super. 😕
For a Wal-Mart its not to bad. Their shelves, most times are stocked, but there has been a few times Ive been there and theyve been out of several items at a times, very disappointing. Cant find many good clearance at this Wal-Mart either. All in all, its still a good store with friendly staff. Edit: never any lines open, regardless of the time of day.Its been probably 2 years since I actually went into Walmart in Johnstown. They have a very nice selection of womens summer apparel and shoes, very impressed. They still have that awesome clearance aisle! Aways my first stop 😊
So basically I was looking for a microwave that I knew was in stock and 2 employees couldnt find it! Although 1 said there was 16 of them in stock! 16!! Then I downloaded the Walmart app, which I had remembered from a YouTube video, and looked up the item. It said the exact isle of the item and sure enough they were exactly where the app said! 3 stars for the effort of the employees though.
I like Gloversville NY walmart better than any other . They have better employees than most . They are friendly and helpful . There is only one older lady there that should go back to retirement if she will not bag our items. Why pay her if she cannot do her job to help the customer. And she is never friendly either. So most of the time I go to self checkout..
Love this Walmart! People are extremely nice! I do Walmart pick up every week and my car always packed nice and neat! A few time some younger boys will put the glass items near the back toward the door so when you open the door it might fall out but other than that, its great!. The Walmart really clean. Like any other Walmart it, lines look long but its really not that bad not a long wait unless you get to customer service just make sure you go during the week in the late afternoon, no lines. Best Walmart I been to and I been everywhere!
Walmart store number 1806 Gloversville New York there are plenty of good people and Friends who are employed although they are not always properly treated by the end of the company or customers in some cases and their customer service is acceptable overall trying to find an associate in a department its like a needle and haystack but thats not the associates fault thats Walmarts fault
We did grocery order online and when we got home all of our produce such as tomatoes and avocados were all covered in disgusting smelling laundry detergent (we didnt even order detergent). Our package of hotdogs was green and stinky because there was a hole stabbed through the plastic and they were rotten.
All China products. When they first opend they had all made in usa items. Now all they have is china made low quality items. new updated review. now that they have all made in china itmes and put all other countries out of business they have raised their prices way up on their low quality items.
At approximately 8pm on a Sunday there were 0 yes ZERO registers open while people were waiting in line to use self check out. Mind you that there were atleast 5 employees stand around the back side of the self checkout. I personally avoid self checkout because it is someones job that is taken away. To top it off one customer asked if they had any registers open and someone in a yellow great said no they are all closed for the night. I mean seriously, come on Wal-Mart get it together.
Prices are lower on most items that are carried in other stores. However, the variety of grocery items is frequently disappointing. For instance, today they were out of celery salt, and have been for over a month. They only carry the sugar free versions of the flavoring syrups for your coffee. Also, they dont carry the Lactaid brand of ice cream. Quite a few shelves are completely empty, and this is a regular occurrence. Today the broth & stock shelves were almost empty. I frequently leave without several items that were on my list because they dont carry them or are out of them. In summary, its good for basics, but you need to go to Price Chopper or Hannaford to find variety.
First time shopping here in 3 months!! The parking lot needs some crossing guards or something there are to many accidents that happen in the very crowded small parking lot and it seems like know one pays any attention where there going also the self checkout is always a huge line of people with full carts there should be an item limit for self check because waiting 20 minutes to buy a bag of dog food is ridiculous I’d rather go to runnings and pay extra to not have to stand soooooo close to everyone in Walmart for soooooo long for one item also customers take there’s masks off as if they can once they enter the store this is alarming for people who are pregnant rules should be enforced to customers as well as associates and last but not least horrible customer service every time you ask an associate for help finding an item they say one second and run away and disappear I’ll take my business to 4 different stores instead of Walmart what a disorganized mess
Absolute nightmare! I have never seen so much spoiled meats on display in my life. Empty shelves with no cause. The management should be horsewhipped! This place has never been acceptable, but now it has sunk to amazing new lows! This is a severe lack of leadership and management! Gloversville has never known greater shame.
Really nice Walmart. Shelves are always stocked and presentable, not like some neglected supercenters with merchandise shoved wherever a customer might throw it. Good security, well-staffed. There were a billion people there today and every register had lines, but they surprisingly kept them moving along.
Dirty store, rude associates. Associates shopping for customers think they have priority than those customers actually shopping for themselves. I was rudely pushed out of the way, as well asaisles blocked from them an their carts or when 2 or more of them are just chatting.
Good sales, good selection on clothes and non food items. Fruit department needs improvement. other than bananas, fruit is usually bad or goes bad quick after purchase. Meat is grossly overpriced, especially Beef. Staffing is okay, people are always polite to me while Im shopping.
I have to travel for Dr appointments and this Walmart has the worst COVID 19 friendly customers. They bump into to you when you try to maintain distance from fellow customers and are very rude to each other and the staff. Often yelling at you for being in their way. I have been a few times as its near my dr appointments ( an hour from my home. And I stop for bathroom brakes.) and everytime I find it to be like this. Staff is doing their best but they cant fix rude.
I dont hate it. Its a new store that is smaller in the household dept and much larger in the food section. I dont go there to buy food. It is the only dept store we have in Gloversville. They used to sell tall slacks for ladies. Not now. I am sorry they diminished their shoe dept. It was a good one. Not any longer. Lastly the quality of their hoods is lacking. I used to go there because Sam Walton guaranteed all there goods were made on the USA. Not any more.
They never have enough lines open at the registers. The other night I went in there, they only had self check out open and I had a cart full of stuff. Also their employees stalk you all through out the store. Making you feel really uncomfortable. I always pay for my stuff yet they treat everyone like were all criminals.
Came to exchange some rugs today i was shouted at and talked to like a 5 year old child by a horrible women named Mary this is Wal-Mart not louise vuitton the rugs were worth less than 75 dollars. Horrible experience have not ever been spoken to r treated in such a mean manner absolutely appalled left feeling traumatized in the end two other staff offered so nicely to help and exchanged I was so worked up and distraught I then refused the exchange I had came for and left wallmart shaking this women needs to be removed asap and I will see to it Amagan what she would be like with an actual child discusting
Terrible experience here. Called at 8:15pm to see if I could quickly print 2 photos for same day pickup tonight, the customer service desk person said yes, got to the store after driving from 20 mins away and went through the photo printing process, only to have the photo guy tell me “nope gotta pick up tomorrow” when I brought him my receipt, TOTAL waste of time thanks Walmart!
If Walmart wasn’t the only superstore with the cheapest prices around here, I would find somewhere else to go. It just seems that whatever Walmart that I go to they are almost always out of stock for whatever item it is that I need. The prices are reasonable and the products are decent as well. The store always seems clean and the staff are sometimes pleasant. I mean, if you don’t want to drive out to Target, or spend more at a different store for the same product, or are looking for a wider selection of items (that are always sold out), then come here.
I am not a fan of big box stores. Nonetheless, I find myself going back to my local Walmart again and again. My wife is disabled and needs a motorized shopping cart to get around. Going to Walmart gets her out of the house and entertains her as few other stores do. I would give this store a higher rating if they had more motorized carts. Often, when my wife needs one, they are gone. Also, I am not crazy about the fact that their fresh meats are packaged off site--a money saving innovation. I do not buy fresh meat there, no matter what the price. Finally, as the richest merchant in the world, they can pay their employees $15/hour. Will I stop going, no. Will I continue to seek alternatives, yes!
I shop there just about every day. Today I bought a crappy Christmas tree along with my groceries. And I was stopped at the door to match my receipt against my purchases. Yup. She was looking for the 69 dollar tree.Ugh. So insulting. So petty. Wouldnt mind, but we are photographed in every aisle and the garden center folks have to get your tree for you.So. What is the manual check for? You have insulted a frequent and honest customer to check on a tree that I was given by your folks and photographed as I paid at self check out.Good job.
Always greeted. Awesome prices and products throughout the store. The only thing I would suggest, is more motorized carts for individuals with physical disabilities. My parents are disabled, and when I have brought them there, there are no carts around to allow them to sit anf be comfortable enough to take their time and have access to products.
For Walmart, this store is alright. Sometimes its not very clean there but they usually do have a pretty good selection of items. Often find items with no price or date on them. I dont know how they expect you to buy Hamburger rolls when they dont have an expiration date on them. Someone should tell them when they dont put prices on their items that tends to shy people away from buying them because they assume its probably overpriced and thats why there is not a price on them.
I bought a ham two cornish game hens and a six pack of socks , everyone has to wait in line I realize its Christmas Eve and you have to stand in line again to get searched by the door not sure what thats about. If youre that worried about people stealing ham and socks hire security guards. Ive always gone to Walmart out of habit next year I will try Target.
Its geared to people on a limited budget. Its stock includes clothing for men, women & children. There were housewares like pots & pans, baking tins & cookie sheets, bed linen. There were 4th of July holiday decorations & plants for Mothers Day. Theres parking out front, easy wheelchair access & a pharmacy.
So My children were acting like savages and Justin I think he’s a customer host of some kind... FANTASTIC, he gave my youngest daughter so many stickers that she forget about acting like a beast. He was so good and also told me a parenting trick I have never heard of. My previous review was a 1 Star due to the worst customer service I have ever received. Justin just about made me eat my words. Once I give a place a low review t sticks and I have never retracted one in my life. that is how great he was, he is not being utilized he needs to be promoted so he can train other people to be that customer oriented.
I currently am still in the store, went to electronics and when i asked if they had an ethernet to usb adapter, they both turned and stared from their conversation and made me repeat what i was looking for 3 times before saying they have not, heard of such a thing. And i am able to take time to write this revue because there is 2 registers open and of course self check but I am not an employee so i have no reason to work for free and cash myself out.Keep up the solid work.
This Wal-Mart is one of the better ones in the area. There are actually associates located at the different departments for a large portion of the day. Customer service is fair to good. Only issue I run into here is the constant lack of cashiers. There are almost always lines at this store. Lines of 3-5 people in front of you consistently. And cashiers typically show no sign of caring.
It was ok i was on a quick shopping visitHad to get some packing tape for a friend that was moving so i was in and out but the parking is not the best for a big store like that you think ya have more parking the way thay set it up is different then any others lots that Walmart has its like thay push all the parking spaces together and left. The end p.s. if it was up to me i would give them - 20 stars on parking and the end
Handicapped parking is lacking at this store. No matter what time I go I’m always forced to circle once to find a spot. The store is clean, well lit and usually has enough checkout lanes to get you in and out. But with the recent clan activity of the white supremacy members walking around inside with their patches and logos clearly visible this makes some shoppers uneasy.
Im normally pretty critical of Walmarts in general. Every single team member that I encountered was friendly and helpful. Not just the csrs the gentlemen putting things and chemicals and the gentleman at the paint counter every single person we encountered was frendy
Its Walmart, always good deals. I do need to add that the nail place inside the Supercenter is absolutely terrible. A guy named Peter did my nails and then two days they were chipping and were stained. You only did a fill and a top coat and charged me $40. I will never return here.
Walmart is the place where I do my household shopping. I can purchase anything I need for my home including food. I am never disappointed during my shopping experience. The staff is always very professional, courteous and friendly. It doesnt hurt that the prices are awesome!!!
I love shopping for everything all in one place. Also at this particular Wal-Mart there is a soda machine that sells cold cans of Pepsi for just 25cents. I love grabbing one on my way in to be able to drink while I do my shopping . sometimes I even splurge and grab another one on the way out for the ride home
I wouldnt recommend anyone to go there if theyre in a hurry because theres hardly ever enough lines open unless youre an early or late shopper, Ive been in there looking for certain things and they havent had them in for over a month, one such item was ring pasta , theyre supposed to be a super center, the one that was in gloversville where runnings is now was much better, and the managers should do a better job at making sure that items are stocked instead of customers having to look for someone to ask if they have it in.
Most of the employees are nice and helpful some of the others well they need to be shown that being negative Nancy and hating the world make the store look horrible if yall dont like ya job dont work there but anyways always can find what I need and life without Walmart would be not normal just saying
Well every time I go to customer service theres only one person working and theres a line and you have to wait at least 10-15 minutes to see that one person thats a long wait when there are three registers at customer service also I have been looking for one item for about a month and a half now and its still not on the shelf
I dont even know what to say ...the employees here need to go do there pathways if your a manager at this store shame your not taking adavatage. And sending your team back to do there pathways .. they work . They improve your efficiently your fighting to keep them on the floor to get done stocking picking ect.if you let them go learn the skills to be more efficient youll find they get better at there jobs ...please stop flipping lables on the shelves thats how your shelved DONT get replenished .and your Picks dont get done.use the system instead of fighting it . I personally wont be back. Traveled 45 miles to pick up something. In stock .all the lables in the isle were flipped and instead of them going to find them I was fed excuses. Dispite local store the system saying they were in the store nore would they call other stores to find it for me ...what good is the app at all then
DISCUSTING! The way me and my friend were treated while getting kicked out was herendous!, We we’re walking with a football and the two employees one (cashier) and one (floor) worker ambushed us! Yelled in our faces threatened to call police because something dropped on the floor and we had a football in hand, if I was the owner I wouldn’t tolerate this discusting behavior I would fire them immediately!!!!
This store is your typical Supercenter. Has some of everything, and that makes the shopping experience more convenient. Where else can you buy an external hard drive, and a box of frozen waffles? The staff can range from extremely busy, to very friendly. This particular visit I purchased from the electronics department. I wasnt asked if I needed help, but I generally look like I know what I am looking for, so that is OK. This is an overall good Wal-Mart location. Very very busy congestion wise due to volume of shoppers for the location, try to stop in in the late evening, post dinner time, and the store is much more empty, making the trip more enjoyable and time efficient.
In a year they have gone from bad to worse, they never have anything in stock and it is sad. No matter what day of the week or time of day the selves are always empty. The managers do not know how to do their jobs and they are always under staffed. I keep trying but always wind up going to Pricechopper(Market 32) or Hannafords. I have found food that has expired and even moldy on the shelves and in the food cases. Not sure why the board of health has not done something but if you have the means to shop somewhere else do it because it saves on stress, really sad since the distribution center is literally less then 10 miles down the road! Corporate needs to clean house and get this store back were it should be!
There was no one available at the fabric counter to cut the product I wanted. IPhone called the local Walmart and told them I needed someone at that counter. When the clerk arrived she was quite frustrated because it was difficult to cut what I wanted and she actually threw her scissors at one point on the counter because of her frustration. As usual all the checkout lines were backed up and I had ice cream in very hot weather to check out. Walmart is very, very poor at the checkouts.
An entire store full of employees stocking shelves, equipped with a self check out line (that was closed at 10am), over 12 registers (at least), and yet only ONE SINGLE CASHIER tending to a huge line wrapping all the way out and around the bend in a sea of customers with full carts! I watched more people leave their carts, abandoning all their items out of frustration (myself included), causing the store to lose waaay more in sales then it would have cost them to just hire someone to run a 2nd register. Out of all the tons of staff there (even just the ones visible to and from the line), flying around doing everything and anything else other then tending to customers, you would think at least one of them would jump on a register and help out.... Happens quite often there too. I wouldnt even be writing this if it was an isolated event.
Horrible experience, I wish I could give the review 0 stars. After waiting for an associate at the photo lab for 45 minutes, an Assistant Manager decided he was going to help me. Apparently the associate went to lunch and her other associates decided they would go too. The assistant manager had no clue how to use the photo cutter nor did he know how to look up the price of the photo I bought. I will never be caught in this Wal-Mart again, and I recommend everyone else do the same.
Walmart is a great place to shop. If your in a rush theirs express lanes or self check out stations. You can go to this store and easily get everything on your list and many more things. Every town has a Walmart . There usually set up the same way making things easy to find. There always Climate controlled. Making it nice n cool in summer and warm in winter. There here to help you. They great you at the door when you enter and wish you a good night when you leave. If you cant find something theirs always someone around to steer you in the write direction. Some times you bye bulky items that are to hard to handle your self. They will Assist you. Always low prices. They have lots of handicap parking up front for close access. They have a great pharmacy and fast fills on scripts. You can get photos devloped here, printed or inlarged you can also down load them from a device to do what ever you want. And to top it off you dont even have to leave your house to shop here just got online . And ther on line site has all the things the stores have and many things you cant get in store.
I ordered a bunch of cakes and cupcakes. They called me to say that the frosting that I chose was not working out right and would it be ok to substitute. Well, it was too late to order them at another store so I had no choice but to say yes. The frosting they used was aweful.
Line so long for the few items I had it was not worth waiting in line. I only had about 8 items so I left them in my cart where I stood. For some reason they do not keep the self-service registers open at all times which would help if they do not want to pay employees none were open
One word says it all for this store Walmart. It is slightly smaller than Walmarts in more populated area but still carries pretty much the same as the others. The downside to this Walmart is its location: the entrance to it is off on a round-about, with one way in and out. It can be a pain getting in and out of the parking lot.
When my girlfriend and I were done at the self check out the attendant pulled us to the side with two other associates and were treating us like criminals over two items that didnt scan properly one associate insulted my girlfriend by saying that we didnt have enough money to pay for everything when the mistake was discovered we quickly made it right so keep your stupid rude ignorant comments to yourself when that was clearly not the case its error of the register which should be better maintained
This store seems to run out of items frequently, especially in the spices, soups/broths, cat and dog foods, and strangely, they had no apple cider. Come on, its almost Fall and some recipes call for apple cider. In the frozen food area there were several bags of opened veggies with contents strewn about. The store doesnt seem as well-kept as it used to be, this along with unstocked items has me going to the nearby Hannafords or Price Choppers.

2022-04-13Ive been shopping here for 5 years. I was a traveling salesmen who worked in all types of walmarts, this one is certainly not the worst. The greeters are always friendly, and the staff is always busy. Which is a good thing. The price of everything has gone up but their supply only dwindled during Covid. Im always impressed with how CLEAN the place looks on the weekends when I shop there. Ill be back.

2022-03-21Ive never seen a lazier/ more inconsiderate staff in my entire life, the only department that was helpful was the electrical department. I swear I didnt think they could make people that dumb. Whoever runs the customer service department at night should be suspended and never allowed in another Walmart. Pathetic .

2022-04-29The price shows $29.97, I didnt get charged that price! I showed them that this was what was marked under ALL of them. The store HAS TO HONOR THAT PRICE! They wouldnt! Im contacting the store manager as well as the corporate office!

2022-04-04General Walmart. Staff isnt friendly and avoids talking to you. The door greeter was the only associate to speak to me and this includes the cashier other than asking if I want a bag.

2022-02-08Walmart is ridiculous when it comes to restocking their shelves. I get that due to shipments for whatever reason, but how come price chopper and even Hannaford seem to have more in stock. Plus your jacking your prices up too

2022-06-09Stole $35 from me. Did not tell me they couldn’t return an item. Deactivated, couldn’t go back and lost the use that cost $35. Terrible customer service. They refused to give a gift card or replacement and blamed a 3rd party
