Walmart Supercenter in other cities:
Went there again. Still sucks. 75 employees running around shopping for call in shoppers. Not one single register open with a person behind the cash register. 32 and all closed. Only self check out. With lines longer than a pink concert. And of course a boat load of empty shelves. Seem to be mostly Walmart sponsored items for sale and almost nothing else.
No cartsor not enough motorized carts available for disabled shoppers i was told by Bill one of the managers to wait. unconcerned about my limitations so i went to another grocery store. i am unable to do my own shopping and they want to charge customers for delivery and for bags. there should be a equal amount of motorized carts to disabled parking spots.. just a suggestion
Longggggggg lines for self cashout almost back to middle of store at 5pm!!Just 4 cashiers, on registers. Many many registers not open its Christmas week, come on Walmart !! You cant afford a few more Cashiers?, ohh I know you want us bored in long lines, looking at more items along the way, at things that we think we need, Doesnt work, I rarely shop your store last few years
The pick up department is the worst in the area. One thin blonde girl in particular, is rude and angry. Yelling at spark drivers and refusing to load cars. I will also be getting in contact with the manager. They don’t answer phones so I may have find one face to face. I’m also going to place a complaint with corporate. I’m sure I’m not the only one who has had enough!
Walmart is a great store overall but, I went to a location further away from my home. I was searching for bath towels & other household items. I was happy that I found all items that I needed but when I went to check out it began to be a nightmare. First off the prices were way off & I got overcharged at least $5.00 total. The self check out attendant stated she was the only one there & couldnt verify the prices. I was tired at that point & let it go just to get home. As it is help is short all over, but I had a problem with my gift card & it took over 20 minutes to resolve. Absolutely ridiculous! The lady that assisted me was very professional & no blame on her as she did the best she could. Though she kept calling customer service & at first they didnt return her call. Then she began to get aggressive with them & it appeared that they didnt want to send anyone over to help; after she pleaded with them several times someone finally came over. When this person came to help he didnt have keys on him to manipulate the register & had to go back to the desk. It took abit before the guy came back over & the attendant called again asking can they bring the keys. C.S. wanted her to void out my transaction & walk all the way over to them to get the problem resolved. The attendant spoke up as she could see I could barely stand said them, this customer is tired & wants to go home. You need to come here. Finally several minutes later the guy came back & got my issue resolved.I wont be returning to that location again. Bot only do they lack help, but the lack courtesy of true customer service.
Am I the only person who think there should be traffic lights at each aisle, I literally was hit but 4 carts and the shopper just shrugged it off. No sorry or I apologize for running into you with my shopping cart because I was running like I was on Supermarket Sweep. Not Walmats fault though. Other than rude shoppers, I dont mind browsing the kitchen gear and Garden center.
Good service is sporadic. Some employees treat you like you are imposing on their personal time if you ask for help.. some go out of their way to greet you and help. Grocery pickup has items out of stock too often, or does not make what is available in store for grocery pickup. Will continue to shop there as good outweighs bad and location is convenient.
Waiting an hour to pick up groceries shouldnt be the norm. The whole purpose of shopping online is the ease and no waiting. You tell me when my order is ready I pull up, tell you which spot Im in and you bring my.groceries out. Ive been sitting for an hour now waiting for my groceries. Unacceptable.
Like normal, horrible experience, checking out, with 2 workers standing right over us, watching, yet after Im done, ask to see receipt, like dude it was 2 things, and you watched me scan them, power trip, customer service as normal at most all Walmart stores, IS TRASH!!!
Terrible experience in the auto service center. They put the wrong oil in my van and didnt even have the correct oil filter in stock (I had to got to a different auto parts store to get the right one for them). Then they charged me for the filter that they failed to provide. The garage staff was rude and treated me like I was a burden to them the whole time, including flashing me dirty looks while I waited.
Updated from the last horrible visit to Walmart I tried on 7/23/2020 to get through to customer service and three days later they havent responded which means they dont care, dont have personnel, or have not looked at the complaints. Which is more plausible???? THEY DONT CARE. This is fresh tomatoes bought from Walmart super center in Utica NY Riverside Center. It was rotten the day I bought it and no one cared enough to answer the complaints!
This store has become a disaster. Shelves poorly stocked and the cashier situation is crazy. Busy Saturday afternoon 3 cashiers open and 20 people waiting for self checkout. I refuse to self checkout until they start paying me. Waited in line for 1/2 hour which was not as long as self check out waited. Walmart isabout to lose a lot of customers if this keeps up. But I know they dont care.
What i like about Walmart is the variety of goods and services that are offered, all in one building. Im able to get my grocery shopping done, get my prescriptions, purchase last minute gifts and so much more... All in one day and in the same building. Since Covid hit, they run out of stuff a lot more than they used to (usually the cheapest) and prices have gone up... But its still alright. the best part about Walmart is if you are looking for something uncommon, they probably have it cuz they carry almost everything!
Definitely good in my books since this is a trucker friendly Walmart. Was directed to come here by the distribution center after delivering. Was hesitant at first but glad I came here.Would not have made it to 60 plus miles to get somewhere else to park without falling asleep. So you guys have my sincerest gratitude.
Store has gone through many remodels shelves are not full like they used to be. Salespeople on floor dont ask if you need help finding anything you busy talking with other associates or playing on their cell phones. Why does a new cell phone there recently the guy working an electronic put a screensaver on and it bubbles up on me need more training. Only go there as a last resort
Cassandra and Ashley in customer service are rude and have no idea what is going on in the store. No idea how to look up an item in the store. And did I say rude? Yes, I did. Customer service is the place to show how much you care that people shop there. Their attitudes show the opposite of what any store would want to display.
I went to Walmart in Utica for groceries and the cashier was completely rude. We were having trouble with our card for whatever reason even though there was money on it. The cashier made no attempt to help in any way and instead gave us dirty looks and kept rolling her eyes, seemed really annoyed with us like she wanted us to just leave. Definitely poor customer service.
There werent any bags in the self checkout to cash out and there werent any carts either and they didnt spray them or clean them properly b4 they put them in the store. Couldnt find anyone to help me find what I was looking for. There wasnt no hot items ready for the day at all.
Bought a $30 smartphone that never worked from day one try to return it they told me I must have the receipt so I bring it there to return it they told me they wont return it without the packaging. Sorry I even sent the phone to the company orbit and they sent me the same phone I mailed back to them was expecting a new phone that would work very very dissatisfied. And this was at the New Hartford Walmart
All the bad experiences people usually associate with a Wal-Mart can be found here. Way crowded, dirty store, no carts in the entry because theyre all out in the parking lot. Employees look worked to death and half the shelves were empty. I will be going to New Hartfords Walmart from now on.
This store is an honest to God joke. They care more about the money they bring in a day than the actual consumer. I asked for help twice about 20 mins ago in there and both ladies had no Solutions. The other acted like I wasnt even talking to her. Literally all over a crinkled 5 dollar bill which was all I had on me after wouldnt be accepted by self check out. They then tell me no registers are open to even exchange the bill for a 3 dollar purchase. I normally wouldnt even be mad about this but the lack of respect your employees show is absurd.
The shelves are never stocked, I can never find what I need, even in the food dept all the bagged lettuce is always bad even if the date says it isnt. Youll get it home and open it, when the smell of decay hits. I hate the Oneida Walmart. Its absolutely the worst. If I could rate negative stars I would.
I went to Walmart early to beat the lines. Sometimes it doesnt work because of the great deals an easy access to items. I was able to get what I went for, Turkey Bacon, sweet potatoes and a few other items and was out the the store, in less than 20 minutes. The start of a great day.
I go here regularly. Usually its the same story you get in, get what you need and get out. However I have noticed a few employees who either really hate their job or really dont wanna be there. For instance the electronics department manager is a grumpy old man with no sense of humanity, terrible customer service skills, and clearly needs to be fired. The customer service desk could use a bit more pep as well, however they always get the job done and have never given me any trouble.
I find what I need in here okay and being Walmart the prices are good, but whats with the employees listening to music while working??? I saw not one, but 3 people with earbuds in and another with music just playing loudly from their phone on my last trip. All of who completely ignored me when I tried to get their attention and ask a question. Dont expect much help if you need it.
As I was shopping in the store in the back I found a water fountain for a pet it had an advertised price of $4.68 so I brought it up to the manager of the store and he said that was like $18.72 I told him you had to sell it for that price because thats what it was advertised and there was more than one product there it was a whole row of the same thing I told him you had to sell it for that it sure will sell it to you but itll be $2 less very rude and obnoxious I think the manager that store needs better training I was not happy at all. I hope that other people read this because you definitely dont want to deal with the manager of that store hes very unprofessional and very rude.
Still one of the few places to shop; However I dont understand the closing of the doors by the garden center. Seem like a health thing. Keeping those doors open would help people stay the required six feet apart . ( Covid, apparently cant get in that way either, so they crowd everyone in and out the same doors (not staying six feet apart) so youll have a better chance of coming in contact with someone infected. You gotta love their logic 😏)
This location has so much to shop for. Huge variety of merchandise. An abundance of food to choose from. You will find what you want here. McDonalds to fill your belly if their Deli dept doesnt have what your taste buds are hankering for. I like the selection of hot and ready foods. This location is the best place for a Walmart run.
This store took in in to lost prevention over grapes the I scand and placed on the material table. That table didnt indicate there was a problem. I did not realize that it didnt register . I had over $40 dollars of merchandise that was paid for they made me feel that I was a stealing the grapes. I have going to this store since it opened years ago. I never be back again.
Disliked store. Shelves not stocked, items moved again to other parts of store etc. Wont go back. Not first time it was like this. Also no place to put your bags at checkout so u can pack them. For people with health issues it is very difficult to pack bags without help. Apparently clerks no longer pack shopping bags. Not worth the aggravation. Will spend extra money and shop at a better grocery store. Several other women I talked to felt the same way.
Today I went to Walmart as I was told over 2 weeks that the PS5 consoles would be there. 10 of them, now I understand my chances were slim initially, but was told store opens at 7 and has been opening at that time for awhile. I got there at 6:30 and employees were already walking out to their cars with them. I don’t believe the north Utica Walmart should have opened early for their employees to get these. I would have thought yes first come first serve at 7:00. Just wrong, not the way a business should operate.
Wal-Mart, great. Can find stuff easy, no problem. They keep it stocked unlike a lot of other grocery stores in this crazy covid time. But like we all know the real issue is the people of walmart. People who think theyre the only ones in the aisle and block everyone else with their carts, people who have never seen a arrow before in their lives and plow their way through against traffic, people who cant figure out if they want extra buttery or extra salty popcorn and just stare in the middle of an aisle in a near comatose upright state, and people who look like they slept in their clothes for the last 5 days, woke up in a random crack den, and decided to go buy frozen sliders because theyre hungover. But then again, not walmarts fault. Gotta buy some foggles for myself.
Typically, we really enjoy this Wal-Mart. I think its the cleanest and has the best selection compared to the other Wal-Marts in the area. Today, though, I had to wait for 20 minutes at the sporting goods counter for customer service to help; this, after asking four different employees for help. Usually a great experience. Infrequently they could do better.
First of all, this store location is always like a war zone inside. Nothing is in its place, but this time made me especially angry. I made a 1-hour photo order the day before I needed the photos for a special occasion. I instantly received a delay email stating the photos would be ready at 11am next day. At 5pm, 20 hours after I made the initial 1-hour order I had heard nothing, so I called the photo counter to check the status. They said they saw my order, but it wasn’t done and maybe something was wrong with the machine, but they didn’t know. They made no offer of an alternative for me. My order was time sensitive and I said on the phone that I’d be coming in half an hour to pick them up. When I arrived, the photo counter was closed down during hours it should have been open. I decided to reorder my photos as instants on the one self-serve machine that worked (3/4 were out of order). Then, I wandered around looking for someone to process my claim ticket. Customer service had no idea how to process it, openly complained in front of me, and in the end I had to show them what barcode to scan from their disheveled binder...all for 58 cents worth of photos! This took over half an hour, just to get my photos and check out.
They need more cashiers instead of self check out. When I go shopping I dont want to have to ring out myself unless I only have a few items. Hire cashiers to cash out people who buy a lot of utems. Keep the economy flowing by keeping people working. I just feel you are pushing self check out on the customers.
Its fine if you dont want to carry fish any more. But if youre going to due away with them, finish the job & clean the tank. Its been like this at least a week. You have 47 employees working at any givin time and only 3 of them are working the registers... Stop being gross.
Very Disappointed!!! Purchased a XL Air Fryer in January, and was not happy with its performance. It actually took over 20 minutes to cook frozen chicken nuggets. I waited for the Covid-19 Pandemic to slow in our area to return. The 3 employees at the return desk initially agreed to my request and needed a MGR to override the computer. After a 10 minute wait, the Mgr arrived and denied because of the time that elapsed. I then asked Mgr to request an exception from above and left the merchandise, my name and phone number for a call back.No one ever called!!!!Two days elapsed and this disappointing experience was still on my mind. So, I called corporate customer service and informed them of my experience and requested them to get me an answer to my requested policy exception. Corporate agreed someone should have returned my call with a response and she would get me a answer. She informed me it would take 3-5 days.I waited several days past the 3-5 days and still no response. So last night I called corporate to inquire. The outcome to my call was that my request was resolved the same night of my initial phone inquiry and stated the store mgr left a denial note on my return, with the reason condition of my return. My return was not damaged, I agree it was not cleaned. She agreed agreed again !!! SOME ONE should have called me back. I then informed her I will be taking my future business elsewhere. I normally have no issues with Walmart however this Walmart will NOT get my business again. We went there to get a few things and 1 of the most important items was a new pair of steel toe work boots for me. We had someone called over intercom twice and set the 1st time about 15-20 min then after paging a second time waited almost a half HR for no one to show up. Finally I walked away disappointed and highly upset. Mind you the boots I was looking at were close to $75-$100. As I was leaving the store I seen a manager n spoke to him to feel as though he did not care what I had to say as he told me i didnt hear a page for anyone if this is how your management cares for/about a customer complaint/issue/problem maybe you should think about a different manager. If this had happened at my local Walmart it would have been addressed on the spot and the manager would have offered assistance not just looked and stated they didnt hear anything. Looks like I will go else where and spend more on boots for work. I would rather pay more and feel appreciated then a little less and feel as though my business is unimportant.
I needed the International Delight Irish Cream Creamer, it wasnt on the shelf. The website indicated that it was in stock, I asked an associate to check. He was very happy to assist and went in to the cooler to get it for me. He also brought the rest of the box of stock out. Very good customer service.
I have been in this store on 2 separate occasions in the mid afternoon.NOBODY CARES ABOUT MASKS!10 percent of people shopping do not have a mask on. The employees have them on but many are pulled down doing no good whatsoever. I CALLED MANAGEMENT TWICE but got the runaround! If you have to go to Walmart DONT GO TO THE NORTH UTICA STORE. I HAVE HEARD THE HERKIMER STORE IS BETTER!
Everything I needed I found when going to self check out needed one of your employees to okay MY cough syrup purchase. There were several Wal-Mart employees just talking amongst themselves 3 of them looked over but continued talking. Then a wonderful employee asked if she could help I said YES thanks and I see those employees over THERE must work for the state getting paid to do nothing. She looked over at them and they still were talking. Anyhow I regret not getting her name but shes an awesome employee.
Great place. Wonderful attendants. I parked my truck nearby and walked in to buy fresh fruits and laundry detergent and trust me i have never been to a walmart that you find guys who can ground their work just to attend to a skinny, exhausted and confused trucker. May fate bring me back there. Bravo!
Its pretty bad when you have to call the store from INSIDE the store. Another woman and I waited to get into the fitting rooms for a really long time. NOBODY around anywhere. I bet if I slipped something into my pocket, theyd be coming out of the woodwork to acknowledge me. No, I have to call them from my cell phone while standing in front of the fitting room for assistance. THEN, to top it all off, I came out of the fitting room to find my cart gone. I cant remember every single thing I had in it, but I shopped for quite awhile before trying my clothes on. Who takes a cart filled with stuff? Not clothes, but other stuff like perennial bulbs and picture frames?!?! Reeeeeeally frustrated with this place today. Not cool, Walmart; not cool.
Im rating the customer service not the products or prices because overall Walmart is the main store in my household to get everything from. But the fact that Ive been in customer service for over 6 years just disgusts me for the type people that they hire there. Im not going to say everyone but the majority of people who work there have the worst customer service and worst attitudes Ive ever experienced. And Im talking about by phone and in person. Its just sad because its really not that hard to be nice even when your day is going bad you cant take it out on complete strangers. I would get into detail but its not worth it
The bathrooms are very dirty at this location. But Kelly impressed me very much. She was very helpful and pleasant. Kelly is the only reason I dont give this store a zero. Also, I do not think Google will allow me to give a zero. This is one of the worst Walmarts I have ever visited. I have shopped in Walmart in Florida, New York across the USA. The people at this Walmart, with a few exceptions, are miserable. I have witnessed them treat the staff at the McDonalds in the store horribly and their own customers the same. I recommend you shop at the New Hartford location. The store manager doesnt even interact with people at all. I have never even seen her while I was there. She is a ghost.
These are the laziest, people I have ever seen get a paycheck for doing nothing and going out of their way to NOT help. Im not talking one or two, Im talking 5 employees in the course of a visit try their hardest you not help a customer, I would think that the person writing this did something wrong or had a attitude, but that surely is not the case. What miserable defects they are.
Walmart Vision & Glasses:Dont go to this location. I had purchased contacts there and one was broken. Yes, it was a year after buying the supply, but I had purchased enough to last that long. They wouldnt give me ONE contact, even though I bought it from them. They said it was like buying medication and there werent any refills left, but if one of the pills had been missing they would replace that pill? Plenty of other places that dont steal your money. Because thats what it literally is. Paying for certain products and having a defective product and them not caring. Im not asking for a whole new package, Im asking for the ONE contact that was broken. Ridiculous.
Ok...so I guess Monday morning they stock the shelves...but do they have to block the aisle and that act like you are interrupting them??? I was actually rerouted 5 times to get to a product I wanted....dont stay open 24 hours and expect no customers...I was there at 6:30 am and took me 30 minutes to get 8 things! And was acted like I was a nuisance! I will say the girl at the only checkout open was great....fix it!!!!
Like the New Hartford location, this area is ideal for large shopping visits and one stop shops alike. The only bad things I can say about this area is that parking can sometimes be a hassle. With that said, the staff there were incredibly helpful. Right before the last eclipse happened, I went on down after work and looked for the special glasses used to see the eclipse without going blind. They searched all over the store but couldnt find them for me. Though I wound up finding them at the New Hartford location, I was floored at how helpful the staff was.
Apparently wearing a mask in this store is not mandatory. In the 20 minutes I was in there I saw 8 without a mask. Three of them were standing next to the front door greeter. No one likes them but that doesnt make these people any better than others and it should be enforced
I went to the deli today to get some sandwich meat being as though I work out very close to this Wal-mart, so it would be convenient so I thought. I walked over to the deli and there was two or three employees behind the counter and one in front of the counter. Plus other employees scattered about. It’s about 9:30am so I think deli should be open? Anyways everyone ignores me and almost seems to try and avoid me. The girl behind the counter looks at me quickly and I said hello good morning and she literally just walks away. So I simply just left because I’m not gonna give business to a place that has terrible customer service. I won’t be back.
Ordered one small item online supposedly for convenience, and went to North Utica Walmart to pick it up a couple of days later. After checking into the kiosk I waited nearly a half hour for assistance that only came when another waiting customer went and asked an employee for assistance. Another employee finally came over, apologized that they were short-handed although there were employees everywhere and a line in customer service about 10 to 15 people long. She asked for my information again even tho it was entered into their system, took about another 10 mins to retrieve my item and explained that she didnt know what she was doing because it really wasnt her job. Problem is, I dont think its anybodys job. Most checkouts are self-serve and about the only ones you see are rifling thru customers packages on the way out to make sure everything was paid for. But you know what, if they actually had cashiers seems they wouldnt need to harass everyone instead. Another reason to hate Walmart. Never again.
Not crazy about the amount of employees that Walmart has now when basically the whole store is sell checkout so the employees basically walk around and stare at you and make you feel uncomfortable if you stay in one spot for too long as though youre stealing something even when youre not its like all eyes are always on you because theres nothing else for them to do because theres too many and not enough work to do because we do all the work ourselves as a customer that we can possibly do
Its amazing how one Walmart looks dirty, unstocked and no manager or staff to look for. (In New Hartford). Then you drive 10 minutes away, if that and find the pilot opposite. I will ALWAYS go to the Walmart in Utica from now on. Loved loved going there. What an awesome experience.
The customer service in this.place is unbelievable. It takes forever to find some one to.help you and when you do they either tell you I dont know or give you false information just to get you to walk away. If its not their department they dont find someone who would know usually just shrug their shoulders and say its not.my department. People who.work here are rude and dont think.twice about swearing or saying the F bomb in the floor. I.will drive to new Hartford or herkimer if I can and I live right next to this one. Something needs to change.. its not.pleasant here
Since I worked there over a year, I find that shopping there is a very easy experience. However, before applying to work there I shopped there on a regular basis, and everything was simple to find. The managers are friendly, especially the front end CSMs. All the stickers are extremely nice, and if you do find yourself stuck looking for something, those stockers are more than willing to go out of their way to help you find it. Overall, it is a great store and it definitely does beat the other Walmart stores I have been to, as far as customer service goes... 😊
Hundres of people in the store, 6 cashiers working. Stood in line more than a half hour just to check out a handful of items. Also, handicap parking spaces all filled up with cars that did not have handicap plates or stickers. Carts were all over the parking lot, it was just a big mess. Never again
Stay away from the Mc Donalds inside the store, it is completely disgusting and dirty. Floors were black with food through the entire place on floor and tables all nasty. Drink system had 2 drinks dispensing water instead of the soda marked. Only 2 employees working and took 15 min to get orders. Get the order and fries are ice cold, burgers cold and burnt. Definitely this place needs to be closed down and cleaned and under new management! Furthermore the reason for 1 star is they wouldnt allow no stars.....
I understand with Christmas eve the store closes at 6, but at 5:30 I was told were closed when I tried to get a rx flu medication for my children. The man at the door said, very rudely, were closed, I dont care! I cannot help that their flu test had just come back positive but I had thought there was plenty of time to get a rx. I pray he never knows what its like to be denied medicine for his children because someone wanted to close a store early.
Worst deli ever. Absolutely slop in a bag for lunch meat. They use the ends of the meat and just throw it in the bag. No hand washing or changing gloves. The old man with the glasses stood there and watched the guy slice away and DID NOT HELP. Absolutely a waste of time coming to this Walmart.
Horrible on a holiday weekend. I dont have many issues with Walmart itself, especially since i can cash myself out (So i dont have to wait in a 20min line to have a cashier who hates my job squeeze the top of my bread messing up the whole loaf, like i want that now!) Its just always packed in the mid day.
Their return policy on air mattresses are ridiculous only equal or greater value they will not issue refunds for them if the box is open even if the mattress is defective. So quick to offer product protection but fail to mention the return policy on them including their website. Ive lost items after paying for them because the cashier was too busy flirting with a female co-worker trying to refill bags...now on to the hair care isle there is a shelf that has hair products for African American why on that shelf is there skin bleaching products seriously there is one shelving unit dedicated to these products and almost a whole shelf is dedicated to skin bleach. Out of the whole isle and a half of hair products for all different hair types and in the area where I would go to get the products I use I see edge control then skin bleach.
Walmart is raising prices to a point that I can go to Price Chopper and only pay 2 or 3 cents more. Price Chopper is around the corner. Walmart is 5 miles. Shelf stock very low. Last 3 or 4 times I have gone I was not able to get items I needed as shelves were bare. And now that they go through your bags when you leave makes you feel like a criminal.. I will not be doing any Christmas shopping there.
Visited off-hours (1 a.m.) out of necessity. Selected a dozen items and proceeded to THE checkout...literally...one checkout lane for the ENTIRE supercenter. I understand the principle of loss mitigation/prevention, but this was ridiculous. Naturally, a longish line had formed and people were none too happy. To make matters worse, when the cashier totaled my order, she hit an incorrect key, resulting in my having to follow a supervisor to another terminal and waiting helplessly as my items were manually entered via UPC and then refunded one-by-one, then re-scanned. I was initially waiting in line for nearly 15 minutes. The subsequent ordeal requiring the supervisor cost me an additional 15. 30 mins to check out with a dozen items at 1 a.m. Ludicrous. Likely will never return to this particular store and caution others to avoid it also.
Its Walmart.... Enough said. The staff isnt the most informed and youre better off wandering aimlessly than asking them for assistance. The majority of the time you get either Im not sure or its in x department as directions if you ask where something is. On the extremely rare occasion you will find the employee that will actually help you and take you to the item or find someone that can. Whenever I get someone like that I always take their name and let the manager know. I wish they had more employees that wanted to be, or were trained enough to be, helpful.
I would have given this place a ZERO if there was the option. WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD YOU SHOP AT A COMPANY THAT DOES NOT TAKE CARE OF THEIR EMPLOYEES AT ALL? I havent shopped in Walmart in over 10 years, I refuse give money to a Joke named Walmart. It is 100% a Monopoly company, that does not hire full time so they can avoid benifits. If you shot there you might want to consider looking in the mirror and smack yourself.
Great for groceries but had a bad experience with a young woman in the phone center. She was texting behind her counter the whole time I was there.I asked questions and she couldnt answer. I was annoying to her. She said to come back when John is working. I reported this to a store supervisor. New Hartford location .

2022-05-25Manager with the tramp stamps pierced all over her face scared me and refused to honor a mistake they made totally understand if it was one pole but all the poles were listed in that spot for 16 dollars they ended up being 100 dollar poles I get people make mistake but this was suppose to be a quick trip in for me and I had my mind set on a pole less then 20 dollars I was pumped it was my favorite color and for 16 bucks ya couldn’t go wrong she would not price match me and this has happened before and they honored the price for their mistake why should this be any different I called and left messages for store manager as well as reached out to corporate I have not heard anything back so I’m write this review. I never like going to n Utica and always shop at the new Hartford store where they are much more pleasant and not ratchet I hope that you can train people better to do their jobs and to be fare to others regardless of race or ethnicity no one should be treated any differently and it’s always been a rule that they honor their mistakes this lady was extremely rude and wouldn’t take blame for anything blamed it on having so many employees and them putting stuff in the wrong place here are pictures of her removing all the poles after she stated the associate made it seem like there was only one she knew she was in the wrong and still didn’t do what she was suppose to I will be calling corporate back because this is highly unfair

2022-06-28Accessibility nightmare. I went at 9:50 PM, tried to leave at 10:30, they told me all regular registers closed at 10 and that I had to use small self checkout for everything. I told multiple people I had accessibility issues do that and they told me I should have thought of that before shopping at night. Pushed my cart to the door I came in and security guard yelled I couldnt leave that way after 10. No sign told me that. She told me not to park there next time, so had to go back around the entire store and back again to my car.

2022-04-26I placed an online order 7 hours in advance and choose a 7pm pick up slot. After driving there they canceled my entire order 4 mins before 7pm. I spoke to a manager and she basically told me that if the item wasn’t in stock they would cancel it. As a common courtesy it would be nice if they would let the customer know if the ordered would be cancelled way in advance. 4 mins is unacceptable and there was no resolution to this.

2022-05-23The most disgusting watermelons I’ve ever tasted. It’s like they’re made out of plastic. Something is definitely wrong with the food here.

2021-09-15Always really long lines!!! I have to wait at least 30 minutes each time! I ask them for more cashiers and they say no. Everything is locked up, like we are all criminals. Even gates with alarms! Checking our receipt every time we leave. The only people it punishes is the regular customers. Criminals will always find a way. All the toilet seats are broken in the bathrooms. Workers are rude. A few self checkout lines open. One or two actual cashier lines open. The rest of the checkouts are ALWAYS closed! They need to hire more workers and pay them better. And all of the prices are increasing on all items. My grocery bill has tripled. I ask for discounts on produce that looks like it probably should be thrown out, and they always say no! It really should be free. Walmart thinks it has so much power. They have been trying to take our freedoms before covid and now even more so. Always out of stock of many items. Always moving everything around in the store to get us to stay in the store longer and buy more! Needs more cashiers and baggers!!

2021-09-18Very uncomfortable customer service experience. A gentleman came in wanting to know how to go about getting his pick up order. The app wasn’t working and no one came out to see how they could assist him even though his vehicle was parked in the pick up space. Some might say that’s unreasonable, well I’ve used pick up in other places and this is the type of quality service provided. The poor quality of the app is infamous in all of the Walmart’s I’ve been too after traveling through 14 states. The woman who addressed him didn’t apologize but yelled at him that he needed to go back outside to be helped and he shouldn’t have come into the store. He explained the situation and she yelled go back to your car and call the number on the pole. I expressed how I was uncomfortable and I thought her customer service was rude and extremely lacking. Another representative who I was not speaking to at the time came over to tell me that’s just the way some of them provided customer service they speak loud. While I can appreciate a loud tone to convey directions, that does not address the disrespectful way in which her directions were communicated to the Walmart customer. This store needs some serious culture shifting and customer service training.

2021-12-28Whenever I do a pickup order its constantly a 40+ minute wait. I check in when Im on my way, put the parking spot number in, about 10 minutes later I get the notification that my order has been picked up, then there about a 30-40 minute wait for them to actually bring my stuff to me (mind you, this is AFTER the workers had already put that the order was picked up). Numerous people that got there after me will have their stuff brought out to them. Then when you call the number on the sign, it immediately goes to voice-mail like its a cell phone! What am I supposed to do if I never get my order since youre staff already put that it was picked up?!?! Not to mention its supposed to be quick and easy, but keeping a 1 year old entertained in the car for well over 30 minutes while waiting for people to do their jobs isnt easy!!!
