Went to pick up a prescription. One of the few times it was ready when I got there. I usually have to wait 3 or 4 days after I put in for my refills. I am switching to another ppharmacy.
Nice and clean, but a bit under stocked. Guess they’re not getting deliveries either.
I just love this Walmart in Watkins! Super clean and the set up is visually appealing. Says a lot about management when their store is so tidy. Makes it pleasant to shop there. Always clean. This one has a different design than the one in Horseheads. Much nicer. I drive out of my way to shop here.

Had everything we needed and our check out person, Emilee, was exceptionally pleasant and helpful. ( We had to run out and get our bags). It was good to see so many cashiers open and ready to check us out and this was a Tuesday!!

This Walmart is okay for setup. I prefer Genevas setup to Watkins. Canandaiguas is awful.

Its a walmart, but it was interesting going to one that is located in a more rural and, as some would call it, trump country. A little over half of the people wore masks, with most of the elderly wearing them and all of the staff. It is also sort of close to Ithaca (Cornell) so theres an interesting mix of people at the store. This was less of a review and more of me just people watching.
Although the night shift graveyards normally kept well clean;delivery truck days are very difficult to locate items/shuffling between boxes and cluttered isles and good LUCK finding specific items on your list and save your breath, time and anxiety from trying to get an associate or any personal to assist. None of them know where anything is, they all rely and are attached to their new handheld inventory locators, they only scan or search descriptions of your search N find to then not show you and just expect you to know the layout and floor plan as well as isle numbering and the order to follow said numerical hybrid alphabetical isles, you wont have help I your adventure, other than a masked up dumbfounded and ineffective management. I dont know her name she doesnt wear a name tag, but is in EVERY single transactions business of mine when shopping. Always staring staring following at a distance but always always has a hand in my purchases as I feel singled and categorized as an invalid or thief or lesser than person. It was roughly 10pm just 2 nights ago, I brought the I dont know, 15 water bottle returnable that their machine reject, to the service counter...as I turned thru the entrance, I got locked eyes staring into mine and my possessions, the entire walk to the customer service by the service manager, as she did NOT meet or attempt to make advancements to the service desk. (Not uncommon), she rarely ever does a job for her job. She wears her yellow vest, no tag, loose and dangling mask, rejects almost if not all and any transactions or customer needs that remotely involve physical or mental effort. She refuses to speak words on top of your stupid and obvious question, thats why I named her, i refer to her as Duh simply because shes yet to answer, assist, inform me in any beneficial way in the 5 mobths ive been here, each time I have a question I intentionally avoid this woman as her underworkers sheep like her and do nothing, and when I do ask a question she somehow is the one I ask, then explain with extreme detail as she ponders at me with a dumbfounded empty stare as though youre a carnival act or a foreign idiot as she refers to the Hispanic vineyard workers who cant speak English as she denies their wire transfers, any and all card loading transactions. Do NOT I repeat DO NOT EVER attempt to return an item after 12p youll only be wasting your time,, be made a fool, and inevitably walking out with your returned item still....only a few of the low totem and 1st tier associates have been the most helpful. The ones that Duh publicly shames and spreads qpart like a camp. Very rarely will experience a service manager sought to help you. Duh needs a new job or put in the back where nobody has to interact with her. Shes a paid prop. And frankly bad management makes bad employees. Ahem. Ahem.
Walmart comes through with customer service I cant get anywhere else online
Its a Walmart... You see all kinds of interesting people here... Basic generic get all your stuff for most basic needs in one spot kind of store... Personally Id rather support smaller businesses, however I would say One thing, those dang ranch wings or the salt and vinegar wings are fantastic
Pharmacy pickup was horrible. Had to go on a waiting list on Monday evening for a refill that was called in on Saturday.

This Walmart has stopped listening their parking lot to overnight parking for traveling RVers. They let only 18 wheelers Park and not customers. We cancelled our pickup and moved on.
First time there. Wish our Walmart was this nice. Huge, clean, well lit, in and out quickly. Actually had everything I ran in for, which never happens back home.
You should be embarrassed by your cat isle. There’s only 3 toy options and that’s being generous. Plus hardly any options for litter… every time I come to any Walmart you make it harder and harder to want to shop here! Get it together!
Actually stayed at the Arbys next to the marina. Not bothered and quiet. No overnights at Walmart. Tourist destination with no welcome mat out here. Come on Wally. You had the room.
WalMart great place to shop. But mad that there no electric carts for older people who have serious medical problems. My mother is 80 can barely walk all I see is obese people who probably only get up off couch to go to Walmart.

Its a great place to get pretty much anything you need for the most part, the employees and most customers are willing to help you out. Everyone is friendly enough and if you ever need help finding anything then ask one of the associates, including myself!

This store is a mess, and the shelves are bare. I stopped using the pharmacy over 2 yrs ago because they’re the most unfriendly, miserable people (that should look for factory jobs) and I don’t want to work at Walmart, so why are they forcing us to and we get no price break for .. scanning, bagging- for working there! They have maybe 2 lanes open to put us to work??! I’m done shopping at Walmart

Watkins glen store 1 000 times better than big flats. The big flats store ALWAYS LEAVES ME REGRETTING going in there. Watkins store is helpful, friendly, asks if there is anything else I need.
Watkins Glen, Walmart is one of the best! Ive recently moved a couple cities away and I still drive the extra miles to go to my preferred location. Staff is always helpful and polite, they tend to make sure they go the extra mile for their customers also. Clean and well stocked too!

Im giving it a 3 solely on my experiences at the pharmacy. They have the most miserable people working in the pharmacy section, and have been super rude to me many times. Also dont get your prescriptions sent there unless your willing to wait for hours. They will tell you 20 minutes longer for 3 hours. Besides that the rest of the store is nice and always well stocked.

The customer service is good and prices are ok but in a supercenter I expected to find more variety and quantity of products that I dont find in a small super. I was very disappointed. I looked for international foods but they dont have that much and looked for snow bibs overalls for the storm they dont have any at all .I also bought the last 2 bottles of vitamin oil and came next week for more I found the shelve still empty.
Not good. Tried to get the berry beer marked for $9.88. Made it to checkout and rang up $12.99. Cashier asked for Manager and after waiting for 7 minutes, I had to leave. Disappointing service.

Very difficult entrance. Us that are disabled should not have to walk so far to even enter the store. The last I knew, we were the LAND OF THE FREE AND THE HOME OF THE BRAVE, BUT THE ONLY SMART ONES ARE OUR MILITARY AS THEY ARE BRAVE!!!!! If there was a store closer to me, I would NOT shop at Walmart!!!!! How about opening up other places if someplace like Walmart can be open.

Waited in line for 10 minutes to ask customer service if an item would be price matched. She looked up the item and said it would. Went and got that item. The lady at the check out had to ask a supervisor, she said they were not price matching. And when I tried to explain I just checked with customer service, she rudely replied we are not price matching. I tried to talk to her again and I was ignored. I am changing my review. Spoke with the General Manager Kyle he rectified the situation immediately. He took a bad experience and made it a great one. Thanks
Love Walmart I can always find clothes on clearance or that are relatively cheap. The staff is always polite and helpful that I see.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Parking lot is big so theres usually close parking. Its not packed to often, but the self check out is helpful when it gets packed. Everything is organized and well placed. The mechanics in the auto section are quick and usually a head of schedule.
Good store..shop often when in the area..clean and well stocked. Now employees and customers arent wearing masks correctly during a pandemic...exposed noses...and some are produce handlers...if the pandemic is real...the misuse of masks can be devastating....interesting cuz youve an employee at the entrance I believe trying to enforce nbrs of visitors and masks...
A pretty standard walmart, missing quite a bit in the cleaning section just like most places now. Still doesnt have a lot of wipes, but plenty of sanitizer here. lots of food options and the shells are still reasonably stocked if a little messy.

The associate that checked me out was very rude and seriously lacks social skills in dealing with customers. I put my items on the counter (2 items) and she refused to even reach for them.After check-out, bothered was no have a nice day or even have a lousy day. I understand youre not have a good day but that was in my opinion very disrespectful. So in Dawn I hope you have a better day
Worst run Walmart Ive seen a lot of the shells arent stocked very well usually only one checkout person they try to force you to go through those darn self checkouts
Electric carts are wonderful! Found all the items on my list and more. All staff were courteous and helpful. Im 80 and my husband is 89. We appreciate Walmart!
I was at the one in Watkins Glenn like most Walmarts it didnt have some things we needed it wasnt that great of a Walmart but alot better than the one in horseheads.
I went with couple of my friends and we instantly got a feeling that we are not welcome. Staffs were not friendly to us at all and they were rude us. They way they stared at us and the way they packed our items made us so uncomfortable. Note: we were mix of Indians and Blacks
Placed a grocery order to be picked up several times now! Was very happy with the smooth transactions! There were only 1 thing I ordered they didnt have and the substitution was A ok!
The bathroom in this store was absolutely disgusting. Looked like it hadnt been cleaned in hours. Other than that, great store.

This is your typical Walmart. What can you really write that you havent already experienced when you go to Walmart? Im going to keep entering words here as Im trying to determine how many words I must post before I get a 5 point bonus from the Google contributors system. The Google contributors system gives you points 4 rating different businesses, Parks, Etc that you visit. This is quite a long review so if I dont get a bonus for giving great detail, Im not sure what to say.

I loved Walmart super stores... I get everything i desire.. i visit every week here with my shopping list.. other than groceries i get all my house hold things here from pillows, curtains, towels, furniture , watches, toys, choclates , gifts, decorative items etc etc.. i get very good deals here so i like to visit here more.. i prefer to take gifts from here whenever i have to come to India..
Breathtaking! Hiked the Gorge trail and took the shuttle back well worth the $5 fee.
As far as Walmart goes this store was fairly nice. It was clean, uncluttered and had plenty of parking. Plenty of self check out lanes were open. Liners were minimal.
Like every other Walmart. Not super clean (especially the parking lot), not super friendly. They havent converted to all self-checkouts yet, so the lines are long.
I came here to get my tires balanced and they couldnt get my tires off. Thats really sad. My 10 and 11 yr old were able to take off and put on said tires. This place is a joke when it comes to maintenance
Welcome to Walmart! This location is great during the summer, but, since the local economy fluctuates with the travel season the produce does too. Great in the summer not so much in the winter. I like that they still have a greeter at the door. My local Walmart no longer does.
I dont really care for the parking lot. Pedestrian dont seems to care, they just wonder around. The products are very low end and checkout flow is always congested.
One of the better Walmarts out there. Since Watkins is typically a tourist area, most of the year its pretty low key. Not usually overly crowded and manageable lines. All of the employees are typically very friendly and helpful.
Its WalMart - what else is there to say. You will find all aspects of life here, but finding a cashier who is working a checkout is much tougher with almost everything moving to a self checkout...
I dont know if its regional variance but it seemed that half of the products I buy from Walmart in Florida were not for sale at the Watkins Glen location. Id expect a giant store chain like Walmart to be able to stock common items like coffee creamer the same at their various locations. There were other things we couldnt find but that was the one that annoyed us the most.
This is usually a very neat, organized, store, & shop their alot & like it, But very, very, disappointed in their empty stock of ALOT of things. Groceries & General Merchandise. Shelves are constantly empty. What is their problem? And Im not the only one complaining. Sorry!

So I call down and ask about getting an oil change and I am told. No problem just bring the car in so 15 minutes later I pull in only to be told sorry we close at 6 but its clearly says 7PM on the website.
We drove from Ithaca to Watkins glen today & my new “foreign” car had the low coolant light come on. It was 5pm and the dealership said I should not drive it & get European coolant put in it.We went into Walmart they had a coolant we could use & the nice service guy came out & helped us figure out to put it in. They were great & saved the day !! Thank you Shawn.
Watkins Glen, NY location. visited while we were on vacation to pick up some items we forgot to bring with us. This Walmart has a better selection than my local hometown Walmart, and also better quality of items in the store. Very clean and very uncluttered. I wish all the Supercenters were run the same as this location.

Lack luster selection in all departments. Toys especially. Price of something as simple as a gallon of milk nearly twice as much as other Wal-Marts Ive been to. ,Save money live better does not apply to here.
A cornucopia of sugar coated carbs greets you upon entry. Its foreshadowing for the obesity propelled by motorized wheel chairs youll find inside. They had everything i needed in the electronics section
Very nice food section. We were able to find everything we needed and the display was nice and neat. I wish they had more wines but I’m not sure if that’s a NY thing or not.
Walmart keeps track of every product sold. That is an excellent way to keep everything well stocked. There is room for 3 to 4 dozen bottles of distilled water. How could they run out while keeping track of stock of a medium moving product. This is only one example.
An associate drove a scooter into the foyer pulling a cart. He let the cart go rolling in my and my sisters direction in the cart area. If I hadnt caught the cart, it would have ran into my older sister. Very disrespectful and rid people at the Watkins Glen store. Even the cashier was rude. This was the first time in years ever shopping in a Walmart period. This kind of stuff reminds my why.

I walk using two canes and there are many times none of the carts are available. Today the only one available showed it being fully charged. However it barely moved and when I tried to steer everything was very loose. I waited until someone was finished with one. The only greeter who helped me pushed the cart to a corner.

Went in on my way home to get a wiper blade and milk. Got the blade but staff was cleaning in front of Dairy. Was told by one of cleaning crew Nope, cant do it, too busy. The premise of these types of stores is based around customer service and helping customers. LEFT WITHOUT BUYING A DANM THING. WOULD/WILL NOT VISIT EVER AGAIN!

The store was clean and people kept at a safe distance from each other and we were greeted at the door by an employee who had just sanitized my cart.

Tried to get photos printed on the instant prints.there was some one printing the used the last of the paper in the print it took two of there associates 35 min to chance the paper and then they did not do something right. Now have to use the 1hr print and wait till they get them done sometime they are so slow in here it is not funny
The McDonalds in this store is horrible. The general manager who was in there at the time of our visit refused to come and speak with us when we had bad food. He however was very loud and clear that he didnt care if there was a problem and told a young female employee to just deal with us. We will never go there again when we visit WG.
Nail in my tire while out of town (Watkins Glen) I stopped at the auto center. After waiting 5 min for someone to recognize me the guy took my last name and misspelled it several times...... after properly entering my last name asked me for my last name.... then said forget it and I need to start over ..... I ended up buying a pliers and a tire repair kit. Done in 10 minutes.
This once great store has slipped. Shelves arent stocked,limited variety. It is still very clean. Employees are standing in the isles talking. Im hoping its just an issue left over from the pandemic.

A good store for our small town. It has a friendly and knowledgeable staff. Fresh produce has become better. Whether tourists or locals this Walmart tries to serve the community! Walmart also contributes to the community!
Largest Walmart I think Ive ever seen! Had to go to 2 separate lines (cigarettes for my husband) 1st line, adequate speed, line 8 for the cigs, cashier was quite slow. No worries
Each checkout line was incredibly long with the Express Line stretching 9 shopping 🛒 carts waiting to use the 6 self checkout registers.

Fruits and vegetables are fresh. Winter of 18-19 great flannel shirts, double pocket, well sewn seams, good fit, preshrunk and not thin, all cotton for 8$. In general a great place to shop.
The best attribute of Walmart is generally items are less expensive than grocery stores. This also includes all products that you cant get at grocery stores. The only criticism is a small crowded parking lot and the lines at check out are long and slow. Recommend Walmart to save money.

Its WalMart: crowded aisles, same discount stuff but useful when you are traveling bc you know what they have. I needed to replace my umbrella that got caught by the wind. But I couldnt find them. A lovely older woman directed me and then actually took me to where the umbrellas were. And she did it all with a smile on her face, in her eyes and in her voice. In other words, a real smile. Dont normally get that at a WalMart. Ill be back!

I prefer the Watkins Glen Walmart over Ithaca. The produce looks fresher with better selection. More clothes and household items and larger outdoor department.

One of the better Walmarts in the area its bigger than most and have a nice selection of everything. 4 stars because the only McDonalds in town was in this Walmart and now its gone. Was really convenient when they was there.

This store has brought me nothing but terror. The employees rolled their eyes into the back of their head chanting Deus en Absentia. The shelves skidded across the room to the sides of the walls, and a 170 foot in diameter pentagram was revealed. And hellspawn emerged. Not knowing what to do, I seeked refuge in the employees only room, I know Im not an employee, but Im desperate! Then I saw hundreds of sinners arise from the abyss, acursed be. Some of them dont have skin, some were just skeletons, and some were a walking nervous system. Anyway, I dont recommend Wal-Mart, avoid this facility at all costs.
Ruth checked us out and before we got to her my wife told me she had forgotten her wallet. I ran outside to get the wallet and by the time I got back we were denied alcohol for acting suspicious. I politely asked questions about how it is that we were denied and Ruth called her manager over. The front manager didnt know what to do so I asked for her manager who told me that either Ruth had an issue with us or we were giving her attitude. Neither were the case and the staff didnt understand anything other than they didnt want to let us by 1 six pack. Ruth needs to be trained how to do her job properly. I suggest if you are going here to avoid Ruth.

This Walmart used to be the best Walmart in the whole upstate area. But since deciding to close at 1am, its become insanely inconvenient, overly populated from tourism as well as over priced for tourist season. As a Watkins Glen local, Id rather drive to Horseheads Walmart.
It Was nice and awesome. Besides when the NASCAR drivers where there they did not say anything about bracelet for the drivers inside the store. My 3 year old was very upset.

Theyre changing most of the store all around so right now its hard to find things you normally get and Used to know where they were. I pity the employees who are working there (All of them!) on Black Friday!

Convenient shopping with affordable prices. Most of the staff is pleasant. I suggest avoiding the bathrooms.

The store is a mess! Half the front of the store is undergoing some sort of repair or change. The aisles have all changed. Nothing is where I am used to finding things! Only one entrance is currently open. I am very sorry I chose to go to Walmart today!
Always Very Clean And is Convenient for Locals, Campers and people traveling through. Workers there are always very nice and the Automotive Department are very Caring.
Shelves not stocked very well. Associates are mostly helpful. Safe shopping most of the time.
Most are hearing to the guidelines of social distancing and face masks. Sanitize carts ready and waiting staff was courteous and quick at checkout.
Staff was okay. One guy in electronics stayed and helped us the entire time, but only showed up when the other guy wandered off. He was supposed to be getting something and just never came back.
They had the paint I was looking for and I made it out just in time they let me know they were closing and gave me a few minutes to get what I needed I am grateful

The Watkins Glen Walmart very clean everyone had a mask on many cash registers open to get in and out very convenient
Customer service has puts inexperienced workers on register and they dont know how to use the equipment so they short change you and when you go back they say nope I gave you the right amount even though the return slips are $2.75+$.70+ 65 that there busted machines wouldnt take and get back $4.75 when I should have $6.80
Dirty, disorganized, customer service was a miss with the fact that the cashier wasnt talkative or was happy at all. I felt as though I should of went to Target instead.

Shelves were kind of bare and they didnt have a very good choice of plus size womens clothing.
The cashiers are very rude, and snobby! I asked a simple question and I got hit with a bad attitude and an eye roll... so sorry you couldnt take 2 seconds while youre just standing there to answer 1 question about an item..🖕
I am 80 years old recently I had to stand for a half an hour waiting on my husband while shopping all the benches have been removed I have a bad back and I was hurting why can’t you have places for people to sit down I saw a worker sit down by the shopping carts
Typical Wal-Mart. The employees must really hate working for them. Most of them are so rude and act like they dont want to be there.

Walmart at the Glenn expensive compare to other walmarts in the area..Bakery area great people to work with.. Sorry to see walmart fired a employee that was working for them for 16 years , lost all her benfits , told her to come back in 90 days to reapply for a job there.. ( sounds to fishy to me walmart ) ... I mean 16 years she worked for you .. but then again she wasnt working for me . Bad move wally... on a say so .... hope there wasnt any retirement benfits in the way .
They keep relocating items. In my opinion this a strategy used to keep you in the store looking for the thing you went in for so you impulse buy. They are not the only store using this despicable strategy.

Stocked most of the time and prices are lower than other stores in the are for the most part. Staff is always there to help and now have self checkout which makes it so much easier to get in and out.

2021-07-20Says no overnight Parking. Me and my teammate parked here and shopped for an hour no problems. Tons of nice people honestly one of my better Walmart experiences. 10/10 from a truck driver. The driver of the KW was overnight parking not sure if it worked of for him.

2019-09-20Good location on the north end of town, near Clute Memorial Park. Everything you would expect from a Walmart. Friendly, helpful staff. it pains me that Walmart doesnt carry some national brands like Kleenex. And why arent they consistent from store to store on where they put things like newspapers?

2022-02-26My grocery pick up was sent to Geneva again.Grocery pick up employees are aware of this pick up app glitch. This has happened befor.Management was unwilling to solve the problem, with the excuses of (it’s our policy) or (that’s just our system)Geneva Walmart management confirmed this problem could have been taken care of by Watkins Glen Walmart management.Instead they called to police because I wouldn’t take no for an answer and then gave me $20 cash to leave and drive to Geneva Walmart.There’s no logic here, now Walmart lost the whole grocery sale of $169. They lost my business, and with 4 kids it’s most of our paycheck for the week.And they also lost the $20 they handed me. It’s crazy no one will think with their own brains and do something logically, instead of by the system.Thanks Walmart for the extra $20 I guess, I’ll be spending that at BigM grocery store.

2018-08-12Our Walmart got a facelift! It is bright and clean with new, contemporary signage. The store usually isnt too crowded nor is there often a long wait in line.I am pleased that there are vegan options like Silk products, Field Roast Mini Corn Dogs, So Delicious ice cream, and various other frozen food but I wish they had more in the way of faux meat. They could also use more cruelty free home and beauty products.Other Walmarts seem to have better selection when it comes to clothing and accessories.

2021-10-25Nothing like being on a weekend away and your husband hasnt had an oil change since April.They didnt have my oil filter, and drove 15 miles to get it. They kept apologizing, I was just grateful it was getting done. They were the friendliest auto staff, Ive ever come in contact with.They did an awesome job.
