Best selection and prices in NYC! My go to everytime for quality, service, and delivery speed! Shout out to the staff who really REALLY know their products. I implore you to test their vast knowledge of wines and spirits. Its almost funny how they know it all! Peace and blessings.
Great ace yo buy your favorite wines at discounted price! I always order more than $100 (free delivery in NYC (midtown). One time they mixed up write w red but even I opened the bottle by mistake, they said they could exchange (not expensive one $10 box) and they did ! I continue to keep my business with you !!! (This place is not upscale, this is ware house so not yo expect any fancy inside abd outside:)
Always a pleasure to come here. I was looking for a good bottle of Malbec and other places were a little pricier than what I pay in queens but then I remembered this place and sure enough the price was the same that I pay. So good that I bought 2 bottles. Always come here for good prices on the good stuff. The sevice is also great. They will find someone for the particular item youre looking for.
Came to this store for a specific wine I saw on the website, walked around the aisles for around 10 minutes, no one was interested at all at least to approach and ask what I was looking for. I tried to ask the cashier, she just immediately ignored me. I couldnt even understand who is working there since a few nasty guys were walking around lost. So, the first impression of this store is nasty and chaotic. Of course Ill never visit this store again and Ill just buy the wine somewhere else where they appreciate their customers.
A neighborhood institution and long time fave. Its been there forever and hasnt changed a bit. This is the best place in the village to do a big shop and stock up for your bar or a party. Theres a good range of spirits and wines, with an emphasis on mid-to-low price points, random specials, and buzzy brands. One star off for cramped aisles and messy checkout queue area, but still highly recommended.
The store has a good selection of products; however they have a policy where they do not accept credit/debit cards without a chip. It was fine by me except the cashier that helped me was rude and had a hostile demeanor when I asked why they had this policy. They also frequently forget to check ID, especially when it is very busy (like on New Years Eve).
Been going here for 25 years. Its rare for any establishment in Manhattan to be around this long and at the same location. They have a large selection of liquor, wines and champagne. Its a one-stop shop for everything you need. Service is also friendly and staff is knowledgeable about the wines.
I love it when the people who work in liquor stores know more than the basic information on spirits. In my experience, you ask someone for a recommendation of a specific spirit and they point you to the most expensive in that category. Here, I got great recs on what I was looking for and I appreciated that.
This place has such a great selection. And pretty good prices. I can buy wine at $5 per bottle that actually tastes really good. I also like their whiskey selection. They have some rare whiskeys that you cant find anywhere else and actually charge a decent price for them. Their staff has been friendly and helpful. Ive been there at least 3 times.
So glad I found this place because they sell liquor at actually normal prices, for the most part (read: normal as in on par with non-NYC prices/not exorbitantly marked up). As a frequent whiskey drinker who likes to try new varieties, I buy 90% of my liquor here, going out of my way specifically to get the normal prices here. When the Game of Thrones whiskeys came out, this was the only place I saw in Manhattan that didn’t mark them up to all be over $80 (which most of them are 100% not worth, price-wise).
An excellent wine and liquor store. There is a huge selection. Theres plenty of help in making selections, if you ask for it. The workers are knowledgeable and friendly (in a gruff New York sort of way). The prices are very competitive. My favorite part is the area near the entrance where they have deals, possibly on items that they are discontinue or arent as popular. Sometimes you can get two bottles for the price of what would normally be one bottle. Highly recommended.
The staff is incredibly friendly and will offer their assistance if you find the offering daunting or are looking for some tips. The attendant helped me pick three bottles and even recommended I trade one out that I had picked myself at the same price. The wines were exactly as described.Very happy with the price and selection. Will definitely be back.
I will go out of my way to shop here. They have a huge selection, and they had a very specific bottle of scotch that I was trying to find as a Christmas present. They carried it, and after I left, the bag broke and I dropped a $100 bottle of scotch. After I went back to the store, they replaced it for me.Not exaggerating when I say that I’m only buying liquor from here from now on, they were so nice and they didn’t have to be.
A very Good selection of wines stacked to the heavens. Some bourbon and American malts as well as scotch. Some scotches are reasonable priced, definitely better than your average liquor store in the area. Dont expect bqe liquors level prices. Helpful staff but not much room to move around. Such is life. 5 stars.
My favorite liquor store in the city for its great prices. They have amazing deal specials on new brands of liquor and wine where you can get a bottle at a significantly reduced price. Lots of variety and inexpensive wine bottles. I also love how helpful the staff is - if you are not sure about what bottle to get, they will tell you how popular a certain brand is or will let you know how good it tastes or what to compare it with. Super helpful.
I have always gotten what I needed here for a really good price, and it is hard to compare this place with other places when it comes to the price. They typically sell their wines/vodka/gin/tequila/etc. for a few dollars cheaper than the other places around town. I dont think Ive come across a place that sells the same bottle cheaper than Warehouse Wines & Spirits? Pretty sure nope. The people here are very knowledgeable about the wines and spirits as well--their recommendations have served me well in the past few years. Ive been to a few tastings, too--some interesting suggestions and samplings.
My store of choice when I want cheap, quality wines. Whenever I take a trip to NYC I make sure to stop by and bring back a couple bottles of their 5.99$ selection. Best bang for your buck! Their competitor is right across the street but warehouse is better and worth the trip!
Friendly and unintimidating, with their approachable staff and wide selection of wine and alcohol across price ranges. Their staff suggestions are great, and their tastings are laid back where you can have a nice conversation about the wine or liquor. I can find some nice bottles on the discount rack by the door too.
One of the cheapest liquor stores in Manhattan. Staff are very friendly and will recommend alcohol to you and not just try to get you to buy something expensive. They recommended I get a cheaper triple sec and tequila for the margaritas I was making. They taste better than what I was using previously. Big selection too
Warehouse Winery is an exceptional venue. Everyone was commenting how amazing the decorations and the layout were. Not only that, but everyone was extremely easy to work with and made event planning very easy. Very accommodating to requests as well as very responsive. Could not say enough great things!
Great selection and better prices, but you get what you pay for. Ive shopped here and recommended it for probably 10 years. Ive never had stellar service, but todays was down right rude. While I was in the store, they kept talking over me. When I explained I wouldnt be back, they said, Ok. When I wrote in, they replied that I should go elsewhere.I wish I had a video of it to share. Please, find another spot.
Its the only liquor store that I go to in the city. Their selection is unmatched. Their prices are also the best that I have seen in Manhattan. I have gone out of my way plenty of times because I knew this place would have what I need at a reasonable price. There is a liquor store 1 block from my house that I never go to, and walk 20 min to this location because this place doesnt rip you off
Extremely friendly staff; vast wine selection across a variety of price points. Went here after being turned away from Astor Wines and have returned many times a) even though its no where near my home, b) for their knowledge staff; c) the wickedly affordable prices! If you love wine, do yourself a favor and at least take around the place.
Was over in New York from England for new years eve celebrations and came across this beauty. i love bourbon and the selection in the UK is limited so i was in heaven with their bourbon selection and the guy in the store i was talking to was very knowledgeable and friendly..Unfortunately could only buy 2 because of customs.Well done guys i,m back for Independence day so will be visiting again..
They have a huge selection of alcohol, lots of wines, spirits and other specialities like Soju and an impressive Kosher wine section too. Service for recommending is great, very knowledgeable staff. The cashiers all seem upset and annoyed to be there though but at that point, doesn’t really matter.
Warehouse Wines & Spirits is one of the cheapest places I know of in the city to buy your booze. The selection is decent, its larger than the average win/liquor store in the city, and its right by a subway station. I see a lot of complaints about the staff, while they arent the friendliest Ive never had an issue.
Depending on where you live, this place can be a little bit out of the way. However, it hands down has the cheapest prices and largest selection in the entire five boroughs. They have hundreds, if not thousands, of liquors to choose from, as well as a huge range of wines. They sell everything at wholesale price, so if youre short on money and looking for something new, have a look at this place.
Alcohol sells itself obviously, but the staff here have a terrible tone when directing clients to the counter to pay. Usually I received a cordial greeting and recommendations when selecting products, but this time I had two tough guys talk to me like I was a child lost in a candy store. Fortunately I shopped here today, but the years and dollars I spent will never be recuperated. If you want better prices just go to Trader Joe’s or Astor wines for your spirit needs. My money will never support the ill treatment of any paying clientele...what will your money do?
You guys are the BEST. Still wonderfully serving your customers during this crisis, I ordered online and then came by to pick up, stayed outside and was safely and warmly greated by an employee who quickly retrieved my already packed up order and brought it out to me. thank you Thank You THANK YOU. I’ve been a customer for years, and today was such a great example of why I’ll always be coming back. 5 stars and MORE.
Although this store is more expensive compared to the Trader Joes wine center, its selection is more complete. I can get Georgi Vodka and also other hard liquors here, not just wines.Ive tried the gin, scotch, and various liqueurs here as well. The staff here really know their stuff. For example I wanted to get pastis but someone warned me that its expensive so Im saving up to get ouzo as an alternative which is like 16 bucks.
My favorite liquor store in the Tri-State. The staff knows their spirits and it is rare to find better prices elsewhere. Hope they own the building or have a hundred year lease cause the neighborhood is certainly changing. Do not be dissuaded by a three 🌟 rating, in my book it just means they Met Expectations. 4 stars would be exceeded expectations and 5 - deserving of a Remy. By this criteria certain stores, merchants, service providers etc it is unimaginable what would be the circumstances for them to attain above three stars and it is not a knock against them. It is that giving in excess of 3 devalues the ratings.
Hugeeeeeeee selection of liquor. And I mean huge. The employees stay to the walls and help if you ask. The cashiers seem like they want to kill themselves. For a huge assortment of liquor and cheap prices yes. For a cute atmosphere with bubbly knowledgeable employees no.
I ordered drinks from Warehouse Wine & Spirits for my engagement party and it was such a great experience! Costas talked me through the whole thing, helped me figure out how much to order of each item, and even helped me figure out how much ice to order from the ice vendor. I cant recommend them highly enough!
One of the best places to buy wine and liquor in NYC. Centrally located on Broadway right next to the 8th Street Broadway line stop, which makes it convenient for commuters to stop by and pick up stuff before heading home.Although physically much smaller than its main competitor Astor a few blocks away, it has a very, very good selection, especially in liquors. Prices are reasonable generally, while Astor has good sales, the normal prices here are better on the whole.
Great place to grab a wide variety of liquor. Staff is knowledgeable and helpful, without breathing down your neck; Ive gotten some good wine recs here. Some of them can be surly, but Id rather deal with that than a fake happy-go-lucky attitude (cough Trader Joes). Selection is very good, and true to its name the prices are great. Clearly labeled separate lines for cash and credit make things easier when checking out. Not worth traveling a great distance to, but great if youre in the neighborhood. Best of all they ID pretty hard, so no little NYU kiddies to deal with!
This what Manhattan use to be like back in the day. full of interesting and awesome stops with friendly staff that anticipates every question you have. Not to mention the fantastic selection at deep discounts. I would have given them a 10 star rating but it doesnt go that high 🏆
Great liquor store. You can actually browse here! I dont know much about liquor, and most liquor stores dont really want you in there for very long, but this place has a great selection, and they let you take you time looking through it. Alsi, super low prices, esp for being in Manhattan.
I was able to locate the two bottles of Old Forrester Rye assigned to the shop. Decent selection of spirits although its a bit difficult to navigate at first glance.Spent fifteen minutes browsing while an employee spoke about personal matters on his phone. At the register, when I asked about remaining stock of an item I finished purchasing the teller replied, I dont know. Everything finishes fast.
Fascinatingly large and the prices are great for the location. Its basically a supermarket for all your booze needs. Big prices listed below every single type of bottle and hasnt ever been too crowded when Ive visited. Go here if youre looking to get drunk for cheap (though youll have to figure out where you can actually consume the alcohol) instead of paying exorbitant prices for drinks at all the bars nearby.
As wine and spirits stores go, Warehouse is amazing. They have package deals, an amazing international selection--they even have Japanese Shochu and Buffalo grass Vodka! The staff is knowledgeable with a familiar twinge of NYC sass. An experience, if youre lucky, is to get invited downstairs into their private collection. Visit early and often and you wont be disappointed. Should you buy too much, they even deliver within Manhattan.
Love this place. Full of thuggy men with a vast knowledge of wine. They stock virtually every liquor you can imagine, at already discounted prices, and run deals all the time. Also bonus points for the 4 check-out counters that make paying a breeze. Been coming here for a minute.
I would give this 0 stars if I could, and would never recommend if you are not a NY resident. I have never been treated so rudely by staff of an establishment, and their selection was quite lacking (did not even have a very standard prosecco). After reaching the check out counter, I was told that they could not scan my ID (quite odd - considering this is my real ID which scans without problem at all airports and bars throughout the city). I produced my New York work ID badge, my health insurance card, and my debit card, all of which have my photo and confirmed my identity. The incredibly patronizing and hostile manager (backed up by other reviews) stated in a casual fashion that no South Carolina IDs scan there. If you are going to scan IDs and are aware that residents from entire states will be barred from purchasing alcohol at your establishment, then perhaps you should get a functional scanner and treat your customers with respect. This was an absolutely humiliating and denigrating experience and in front of the entire store I was treated like a criminal due to their own failings as a business to buy adequate scanning devices. I can assure you I will never be returning, and I would strongly encourage all others with a non-New York ID to avoid this experience as well and take their business elsewhere. Look at all their other 1 or 2 star reviews as well and you will see a frightening pattern of disregard and disrespect for their customers.
Fantastic supply, helpful service, and open late! Lots of wine, champagne, spirits. Definitely worth the trek to avoid paying those local-store prices -- Warehouse Wines & Spirits cost about HALF as much as Williamsburg. Also, theres a nice selection of gift boxes, with variety liqueurs coupled with souvenir glasses, etc.
Theyre friendly. Very knowledgable. They can honestly tell you which liquors are comparable to higher end ones. They let you take your time & ask questions. And they prices are really some of the best. I come from Bklyn to get my liquor there. Besides thier selection is huge.
The prices and great deals to be found were were MUCH better before the new ownership change which happened about 2 years ago. Now theyre just in it for more money than the last owner, which is understandable, but the term Warehouse no longer applies. Before the change, you could ALWAYS go there and find a few fantastic 10year old plus bottles from somewhere in Italy for under $10 or even under $5!! Or high-end Grappa for half its price or less! The blowouts were tremendous! I live on the UWS amd it was worth taking the trip there!! It was the BEST place to go to but sadly NOT anymore. Now those same finds are $30plus and/or overpriced or priced the same as everywhere else. Theyve managed to retain most of the same staff from the old regime, which are very nice, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable people and they ALL know me very well, BUT (!!!) here is the worst part... the management SUCKS bigtime and can be EXTREMELY RUDE!! I just was there yesterday (hence this requested review by Google) and some really nasty guy was barking orders at me like I was his wife (or boyfriend)!! I couldnt believe how rude and vulgar he was! And he would NOT stop even after I made my displeasure known!! The old me would have gotten arrested because I would thrown a bottle at him, THATS how rude he was!! Even the cashier checking me out was SHOCKED and made reference to his extreme unprofessionalism and told me in a low voice thats just how he is! He should NOT be serving tue public!!! No way!! AND (!!) this WASNT the first time!!! Ive been patronizing this place for DECADES, have spent $1000s there and NEVER had such horrible treatment literally in my LIFE! Certainly I dont go there nearly as much as I use to and the major reason is because their pricing is now on par with other places, actually now Wholefood Wines (which is my now go to spot!) is giving them a serious run for the money,.. no change that,.. it has surpassed them with a far superior selection (though no liquors) and the kind of pricing they USE to have,.. but with this insulting, rude, unprofessional manager Ill GLADLY spend my money elsewhere! Anyway, Ive found much better deals online or at WF. Do they still have a few good deals,.. yes they certainly do but NOT nearly at the depth they use to, not on high-end stuff (mostly low-end stuff) and again the term Warehouse truly is no longer is applicable.ADDENDUM!!!!Ive just called the store and spoke to one the the sales people and they confirmed that this guy (Gabe!!) does this ALL the time, so it wasnt just me he has had an issue with! He put in contact with the Manager, I spoke to him and he stated that the issue would be address. Ill give my review 2 1/2 stars until I see It get addressed. Now as far as theyre pricing... well.. we will leave that for another day, but I doubt it will ever go back to its glory days.....
With such an incredible stock of hard liquor and wine, its impossible to leave empty-handed. They even have a nice selection of gift boxes (like where a bottle of Kahlua comes with shot glasses, or a mug) if you need a quick present. Prices are terrific and staff are very knowledgeable. My go-to joint for alcohol, worth a subway ride for what youll save.
If youre looking for something particularly rare and cant find at other liquor stores, you can be confident that this place will have it. More than once has this been the case for me. Also, they carry whatever you can find at other smaller liquor stores. This is a one stop shop for all your alcohol needs.
Though not as pretty inside as Astor Wines, Warehouse Wines is the go-to place if you are looking to drink/entertain on a budget. They have a great selection of spirits and wine, and really good prices (think 30-50% less than what youd spend at a local liquor store. The staff is professional and are super helpful with recommendations, etc., and its close to Union Square.
Overall an excellent liquor store for NYC.Pros-Amazing selection-Staff is helpful-Lots of checkout staff-Pricing is generally good for the location and selectionCons-Can be crowded inside the store, it is a bit cramped in some areas-Prices can be less good depending on what you get, seems to vary without much logic
Very helpful staff helped me find a nice bottle of fine wine (Im pretty clueless with wine) but it was a bit frustrating when I got to the register and they couldnt figure out what the price of it was (even though it was written on the shelf 10 feet away). I was in a bit of a rush so that was pretty inconvenient
Hands down best liquor store in the city. Wether youre throwing a party, restocking, looking for something new, or just looking for a cheap bottle that looks fancy to gift to someone this is the spot. Always has sales, and not just on wine but hard liquor as well. Also has chilled bottles to purchase
Awesome wine and liquor emporium on Broadway, I promise you, everyone will find their taste here, including crafters. A huge variety of directly important as well as domestic products to browse through in a jazz music atmosphere. Located very conveniently in the vicinity of NYU, one straight walk from 6th Ave and Waverly Pl, pass the Washington Park. Warehouse Wines is the place above corner wine stores, boasting a very professional and customer friendly staff.👏
#Privacywarning. Do not buy online!!. Just for people that care about their privacy. Im giving 1 start because there is nothing less. I purchase online to be picked up. When I ask for my order they ask me for my ID, I gave it to them then they said they have to scan my ID, when they do not scan it for a instore purchase. Why messing with my privacy!!!! Looking at my id was enough for verification purpuses.
This store is a neighborhood icon. NYU students who grew up with this store and nearby residents all know about the narrow aisles and sometimes hovering staff, but there are tradeoffs you have to make when running a liquor store bargain hunt in the heart of one of the most populous colleges in the country.
Im black. I was followed around the store from the moment I entered until I made a selection, and when I approached management they couldnt care less. I spoke to two managers and both were very rude and didnt even bother to apologize for my experience there. I will never step foot in that racist shithole again.
Good prices but horrible service. I used to go there and spend $1000 at a time, but now their prices have come up and there service is way down. Id rather spend an extra $100 and spare myself the attitude. Some of the employees are actually nice, but the owner/manager is seriously bad news.
Great location great price but they need to hire peoples who smile and are friendly not people who look like they mad at the world the Indian guy is one of them so is the white girl with a nasty attitude Im not racist but they is the way I know how to say it cause I dont know there names Im a regular customer at that location.the peoples who work the floor are way more nicer then the register people
Just had the most WORST customer service ever, it doesn’t even worth 1 star at all, the representative was so meant, I told him I didn’t receive my order, and he was like “what you want me to do?ship you another bottle?” in a very mean and loud voice! I was pretty upset because I didn’t receive my order, and I was trying to figure out where is my order, but then I got yelled at by the customer service!

2022-06-20It may not be fancy inside but one can find unique bottles such as Tanduay rum from the Philippines.

2022-06-16Stopped in just to see what they had and its a pretty vast selection. Ive recently been introduced to Malfy Gin Blood Orange and was having a challenging time finding. Low and behold they had it here. The cashier was also very pleasant, and we chatted about the Lemon Gin of the same brand. If in the area again Ill swing into pickup other items that I keep on hand.

2022-06-23I’m 31 years old (baby face notwithstanding) a regular customer and a professional bartender in the neighborhood, and I was trying to buy a pint of tequila to say thank you to a colleague. My wallet was stolen a day ago so I don’t have physical ID, but I have photos of my passport and driver’s license, and I purchased liquor from the same person last week and they wouldn’t sell me the pint. Some might disagree, but in my opinion requiring a physical ID under extenuating circumstances is archaic and dumb in 2022. Thankfully Astor Wines is around the corner. Google lists them as $$ and Warehouse as $, but don’t be fooled, many bottles are actually cheaper at Astor, their selection is about 30% bigger, the staff generally more knowledgeable, and they just accepted the photo of my passport to buy the same liquor for less. I’ve provided Warehouse with thousands of dollars of business, and I used to like both, but I’m Astor forever now.

2021-09-11Vast selection of spirits with staples and new brands that is sure to intrigue. Cashiers are prompt and lines move quickly. They didnt carry the specific brand of rose wine, but hopefully they will in the future. Got a decent alternative, though. Thanks!

2019-11-19Ive fallen in love all over again with Warehouse Wines & Spirits! While in the Village shopping a couple months back I popped into Warehouse Wines & Spirits and much to my delight, found two of my favorite wines for $6+ less per bottle than at my favorite local wine shop in Midtown West. Ive made two runs down there since, to stock up for the holiday season! Awesome selection! Incredible prices! Currently tucked under scaffolding just south of 8th Street on Broadway, its definitely worth the trip!

2022-08-13*warehouse* is not an overstatement, have fun looking through the massive selection.
