Washington Bridge in Bronx
Washington Bridge in other cities:
Go at night by yourself or with a loves on and look around. The views of the adjacent bridges and the landscape with the lights all lit up at night are amazing. Amazing. They really point out that there is no parts 8n the city that is talking apart or ghetto or not wye opening. To live there you wouldnt expect how Serene and calm and steady you feel even with the fast pacing cars flying behind you. Its amazing and I take the trip alot to do that I just wrote. Ill see you there.
I really like the Washington Heights area. You feel safe and, especially for NYC, theres very little crime. There are many parks nearby, and the walk across the bridge (yes, theres a separate spot for pedestrians, so its safe) is very nice. You can see Yankee Stadium and the highest building/point in NYC (on 181st street and amsterdam)~ If you have any questions about travel, food, or anything else, please feel free to reach out (Im not a travel agent, just a travel expert). 2022-05-30Everyone here is confusing this bridge for the George Washington Bridge that crosses the Hudson River. This isnt that bridge. This is the Washington Bridge that crosses the Harlem River.

2019-07-13The George Washington Bridge is a double-decked suspension bridge spanning the Hudson River, connecting the Washington Heights neighborhood of Manhattan in New York City with the borough of Fort Lee in New Jersey. The bridge is named after George Washington, the first President of the United States. The George Washington Bridge is the worlds busiest motor vehicle bridge, carrying over 103 million vehicles per year in 2016.It is owned by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, a bi-state government agency that operates infrastructure in the Port of New York and New Jersey. The George Washington Bridge is also informally known as the GW Bridge, the GWB, the GW, or the George, and was known as the Fort Lee Bridge or Hudson River Bridge during construction.

2021-03-16Its been more than a year since we started seeing those construction cones on both sides for the bridge. Blocking two lanes in both sides. And yet, a year later, no work done! Ive come to the conclusion that the city didnt put those cones and barriers to fix a bridge full of potholes. Ive come to believe they put them there as a solution for traffic jams. A strategy in which they creat a traffic congestion in one end for the bridge to avoid congestion at the other end. So desprate and crippled.

2020-07-11This is the pretty Arch Bridge that runs parallel to the Cross Bronx Expressway as it crosses the East River. It mostly takes local traffic. Some people refer to it as the Martha Washington Bridge because it is so much smaller then the George Washington Bridge which is just a few miles west which crosses the Hudson River and links New Jersey and New York.

2020-10-11This bridge holds alot memories for me. As a kid I used to walk it from University ave on the Bronx side to 181st in Washington Heights and often stopped in the middle and looked out to the Harlem river and dreamed about my future and what I would become as an adult. I must of been around 12 when I started to walk it on my own, mostly to go to the Highbridge swimming pool which was the hangout spot or to the movie theater on 181st that had the cheapest ticket price. I can close my eyes now and see myself there looking at the river and telling myself that I would have a great life in the future. Thank you God for giving the life I have now and for the great kids youve blessed me with. Ive come a long way from dreaming on that bridge. GOD IS GOOD!!!

2019-07-30I love this bridge. Growing up in the Bronx.. this bridge was never accessible but now it is open to the public. The views are fantastic and it is a safe environment to cross from one borough to another.
