Update: I had 3 of my wisdom teeth pulled here yesterday. I already had one pulled last year not by Watertown Dental. Let me tell you that was the best experience I’ve ever had. The doctors were absolutely amazing and extremely nice and calm. One of the last things I remember before the procedure was the doctor telling the dental assistants exactly which teeth were being worked on and what the procedure was as a confirmation to have everyone on the same page. I have some discomfort today but that’s to be expected. By 9 AM one of the girls checked in to see if there was anything abnormal. I let them know there was a little bleeding on my left side. She did her due diligence and asked some more relevant questions to make sure it was something that wasn’t out of the normal. She made sure that I knew if anything changed or if I had any questions I could just call. This is a wonderful place and I am so glad I found it.———I’ve been here once for a consult, future appointments are scheduled. I felt comfortable with them. That says a lot because I am petrified of dentists and have been since I was young (as are a lot of other people). They’re welcoming but professional and they’d explain anything I asked about. I’ve been to many places where I feel like they’re telling me some things need to be done because it’s more money for them. I didn’t feel that way here. It is a bit slower paced, or at-least it was when I had my appointment. It was nice because it gave me time to ask questions and get comfortable in the office. Overall this was a good experience for someone who has tried to avoid dentists as if the were the plague. I’m not going to lie and say I can’t wait to go back, my fear of dentists is still very much there. But! Seeing as it’s one thing that’s necessary I am looking forward to future visits with this office and I feel confident that I am in good hands
I can not rave more about Mary! She was so incredibly patient and kind with my daughter, made the experience fun and enjoyable with an energetic toddler for 2 hours! I had my appointment first and my daughter was right after me in the same room, very convenient!Dr. Varga was professional and great with myself and my 3 year old. I’m actually terrified of dentists due to a bad experience as a child. He was gentle and quick on my teeth. The office is very clean and well decorated! I would recommend maybe a tiny corner for small kids. Overall, very friendly staff and I highly recommend!
My visit to Watertown Dental Health was positive from the moment I set up my appointment. The office staff was friendly and patient with me as a new patient. My hygienist, Katy, was outstanding! She was understanding of my sensitivities and took her time to explain what she was doing. Her suggestions for ongoing hygiene were helpful and important to my oral health. Well worth the drive!
I won’t be the first to say it: I get a lot of anxiety over going to the dentist. That’s how it’s always been for me. But recently I had an emergency arise: my lower wisdom teeth were starting to come in. But I figured it was fine, I was following what my previous dentist had said when they told me that they’d come in just fine because of the spaces I had in my mouth where a few adult teeth didn’t form below my baby teeth. Turns out, that was wrong. So I made an emergency appointment at the Watertown Dental Group office following all the wonderful reviews I read!As soon as I walked in I had such a huge feeling of comfort. I felt a lot of peace being there, which was weird for me because of how much anxiety I had the entire ride there. Lora was who called my name and lead me to the back where all the treatment rooms were, and she explained everything back there and everything I should know about being a patient there, I loved that! She talked to me like I was one of her close friends, and truly made me feel at home there. I couldn’t thank her enough for that!! I didn’t wait long before Dr. Virga came in and introduced himself with a big smile, and told me what was going on (my wisdom teeth were infected), and how we were going to schedule an appointment to have them out.One of the things that touched me the most? Both Dr. Virga and Lora shook my hand when they introduced themselves and when my appointment was over. I couldn’t be more happy with finding this office and the entire experience there! If I could give more than five stars, I totally would! :)
Love this place! Very thorough, professional, friendly, and give you the best service all around. Went for a checkup/ Doctor exam and they were very detailed in telling me what theyd do each step of the way, making me feel comfortable and valued as a customer! I had different things going on and they addressed each one or listened to my questions on them, which made it so much easier than trying to keep track of my concerns and forgetting one of them. Even the cleaning I had done was exceptional! I definitely felt in good hands; this place is sure the best dental place for adults that Ive ever been to! I wish I had gone to them years ago and had better experiences than the last two places I went to that just cared about the basics or gave me incorrect advice on my teeth. When you had an awesome dentist years ago but they moved away, its frustrating. Looking forward to having my teeth taken care of properly again or even better in my next visits! Definitely recommend this place to everyone!
Watertown Dental Health Group is where it’s at! They provide a safe and calming environment, especially with everything going on due to the virus.I had gone in for a filling. I am always a little nervous when I first sit down in the chair, but Dr. Girardi and his assistant Liana are truly a team! They make you feel like you’re family.
I hadnt been to the dentist in years, and was really dreading what was coming at my first appointment with Watertown Dental Health Group. I saw Dr. Virga, and he was so kind and reassuring even though I need to get multiple fillings done over the next few months. Ive already been back for my cleaning, which was very thorough and an overall pleasant experience (I saw Stephanie)! The office was clean, organized, and the equipment all seemed up to date. I almost went to a chain dentist instead--Im so glad I didnt!
I have been coming to this dental office for 25+ years. It has always and still is the best dental care in Watertown for me. The last two times Kathryn Pulley has cleaned my teeth and i have been blown away with how gentle her technique is. If you have issues getting your teeth cleaned ask for Katie. She is wonderful, a real asset to the practice. Thank you Katie.
Recently I had Mary as my hygienist. She is fast, efficient and always makes you feel comfortable. Dr. Girardi came in for my exam on a timely manner, addressed all my concerns and was very gentle. You can tell he truly cares for his patients. He also did a restoration and is the best at pain free shots.
I LOVE this dentist office! Dr Virga’s assistant, Lora is absolutely amazing! Makes me feel at home! I like that they ask about me and how I’m doing in my life and also they have the personal mission of making sure I have the best possible smile!!! Wouldn’t choose any other dentist worth the hour drive!!! Highly recommended!
Dr. Girardi and his team have improved my dental health to a point better than it has been in years. And they’ve done it with sound routine care, preventing almost any need for complicated, expensive procedures. I’m really happy with my health and my smile. Also, the staff is friendly and welcoming and my hygienist, Mary does a great job.
Watertown Dental Health Groups staff ensures this dental practice is the only one for me and my loved ones. The front desk staff are the smiling workhorses of this organization. They are the most knowledgeable, professional, and caring employees in Watertown. The dental hygienist and dental assistants like Liana are the best of the best when it comes to oral hygiene. These folks are so skilled that if any of them were to leave I may consider going to another clinic.. or crying. And then of course I have the best dentist in the business in Dr Girardi, with his Richard Gere eyes and Tchaikovsky hands are always elegant in my mouth. This combination of elite professionals are dedicated to the dental prevention, protection, and restoration of me and my loved ones teeth. They would be the only ones I chose above baby Jesus to do so.
I have had a couple dental emergencies lately. Angel and Nancy showed concern and empathy and were able to get me in as soon as possible. Loralee and Bea were excellent at explaining procedures, very professional. Dr. Virga is very gentle and very kind; I have great faith in his skill as a Dentist. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming😊
I have been Dr. Virgas patient for 27 years. I cannot find a better dentist or hygienist in my area so I travel 68 miles each way several times a year for what I believe is the best dental care.Everyone has always been very friendly, caring and professional. I am especially impressed with the cleanliness of the entire office all the way to the sterilization of the instruments. I am appreciative of Dr. Virga giving a nice handshake asking how I have been, etc.- puts the patients, including myself, at ease. I highly recommend this dental office.
I have had two appointments there and the staff is awesome. They get you booked for an appointment very quickly. I brought my son a 10 month old my first visit not thinking they had to take x-rays. The staff there entertained him the whole time, he had a blast with all the attention he got from them. We both left very satisfied with the dental visit.
From the moment you enter to the moment you leave, you recieve nothing but great service. I have major anxiety going to a dentist, but this office provides support and listens to my concerns. The dental work I have had done was all done with minimal to no pain. I recommend this dentist office to anyone looking. You wont be disappointed.
I had a dental emergency and my longtime dentist (who is semi retired) wasnt available. The staff here was extremely efficient - got me in quickly, accommodated my tight schedule and idiosyncrasies, and did so in a friendly, courteous manner.I am self insured, and found their prices to be reasonable. I will be using them as my regular dentist from here on.
Initially, this office was great! They got me in the door and treated me good. Angel, at the front desk, is awesome!! Set up my first appointment for a cleaning and all is good. At My first cleaning, they ended up only doing one side of my mouth because they overbooked. While leaving, I was told that the insurance company will be covering 100%. And they would call me to schedule the second half of the cleaning. This was in September. Shortly after my visit, not only did they never call and schedule the second half of the cleaning, but they also sent me a bill of $300 for the work that was done. $300 for work that was supposed to be fully completed but only half was done. We called and they said the bill was formal, insurance is covering 100%. Now, they say it’s our responsibility to make sure but when you’re I. The office on that initial visit, “oh no, we do this every day, no need for you to do anything at all. We will fully take care of the insurance part”. Anyway, 3.5 months go by and I get a call early January from the dental group wanted to set up an appointment for my second half cleaning (you know after the new year with new insurance claims). When I inquired about being billed after being told that the insurance would cover 100%. I was told they would call back.I get a call back 15 mins later from ”Nancy”, the rudest, most unprofessional, old, grumpy and condescending customer service rep!! She told me that it wasn’t their fault and that’s that. I disagreed and called them out on fraudulent practices. Nancy terminated the call when I told her that I would be coming up to get any paperwork that they had to prove that it was not their mistake. Nancy called back 5 mins later and advised me that they would be removing me as a patient, effective immediately, and the fraudulent balance would be sent to collections by the end of the week if I didn’t pay immediately. And yes, this is after THEY called ME to schedule my next visit. Again, horrible customer service and even more horrible business. I’m just waiting for my attorney to finalize what he needs and wait for the collections notice. Thanks Nancy for showing me early why I will NEVER recommend or use your services for anyone, ever!!
Dr. Ghirardi and his assistant (cant remember her name at the moment, but she was very sweet!) were great in helping me out with my teeth. In my 27 years of life, I have actually never seen a different dentist than the one I grew up going to (Ive heard some horror stories of people trying out new dentists), but everyone working at Watertown Dental Health Group were great. Everyone was very friendly/easy to talk to, professional, and knowledgeable. While Im living in the Watertown area, I will continue to go to them for all my dental health needs.
Had a smooth cleaning visit today. Awesome hygienist! Give her a raise! Everyone was friendly and professional, easy billing , check-out and follow up scheduling. No issues or problems. Going to the Dentist is never at the top of my Yay list for the day- but this was about as good as it gets.
Excellent experience. Until yesterday, I have never needed any restorative dental treatment beyond simple fillings. Yesterday, I had two molars restored with porcelain crowns. The procedure was comfortable and complete within two hours! I was able to have lunch, then return to work immediately and there was zero discomfort after the procedure!
Very clean and welcoming office and staff. Equipment seemed state of the art. My initial visit/exam was on-time and was how I expected it to go. When I checked out, I was informed that a dental hygienist recently left due to military move, and my appointment was to be in June - 5 months later. I informed them that if an opening occurred, Id like to come in sooner. I was contacted about a week after for a hygiene appointment at 830am and agreed. I arrived at 820am to check in, and at 845am after not being called back, I asked the office clerk if there was a delay. The office clerk researched the issue and let me know that it would be any minute and if Id like to reschedule. I told her I could wait another 5-10 minutes before Id have to leave. After 10 more minutes I was called back, and my hygienist was excellent. My experience was very good, and the staff are very accommodating and friendly, but I would have preferred that I was informed that there was a delay...and how long it would be. My only suggestion would be to inform patients of delays so our expectations are managed. Arriving early, and waiting 15-25 minutes past your appointment without being informed of a delay can be frustrating. Being in the medical business myself, I can appreciate backlog...but managing the patients expectations is usually well-received. Overall, I like the practice and staff...just trying to help with a kind suggestion for improvement :)
I am currently 38 weeks pregnant and avoid dentists at ALL costs due to extremely severe dental anxiety. I can barely get a cleaning without having panic attacks days in advance. After my experience here I will travel however far I have to to come back specifically to doctor Virga!! I’ve never had such a quick, calm, and all around easy experience with getting any type of dental work done however even at 38 weeks pregnant dr. Virga was absolutely AMAZING, welcoming and caring and managed to get two cavities filled in less than 20 minutes!! I’ve had absolutely horrible experiences with dentists over the years but my visit today has definitely made water town dental health the only dentist office I have EVER felt comfortable in! The nurses are beyond sweet and helpful and calmed my anxiety extremely well! the ladies at the desk knew me before I even walked in. I can’t recommend this office or doctor virga enough!!
I walked in to see smiles on faces and was greeted so brightly! Easy to log in info on their iPads they provide. The beautiful lady who did my cleaning was sweet as can be and talked to me through everything that went down! Also! They make sure to answer any questions you have. Scheduling appointments is a breeze!
I made my first visit to a dentist in over 10 years today, at Watertown Dental Health Group. Everyone at the practice was fantastic and very helpful in me overcoming my trepidation at receiving treatment. Right from the moment I walked in I was impressed with the professionalism of everyone I interacted with. From front office staff, hygenists, dentist and other staff with pleasant, professional, and very reassuring. Thank you, I will be using them again in the future.
Leana (sp?) and Dr. Girardi are an amazing team! I hadnt been to a dentist in years so I was worried about what they would find for my dental issues. Leana made me feel comfortable from the minute she introduced herself and she explained everything she was doing, every step of the way.Dr. Girardi explained my dental issues to me and how they could fix them with kindness and in a language I could understand, having no knowledge of dentistry. Both were kind and funny. I found myself laughing even while getting a filling! My appointment was pleasant from beginning to end and my follow-up appointments were scheduled timely.I highly recommend the team at Watertown Dental Health Group! They definitely take the fear out of visiting the dentist!
One of the front receptionist girls that just took care of me was so unbelievably rude, and had such a laughably unprofessional demeanor (Didnt catch a name, was the only brunette though). I had a bit of a dilemma with having to make a few phone calls to straighten out new insurance, and she quite literally rolled her eyes at me and asked the receptionist next to her to take care of me as I returned to the front desk. Not to mention, this is all after she belittled me with senseless questions about why my insurance wasnt updated after I explained we changed insurance companies two days prior. My family has been going here for nearly fifteen years, with me and two siblings going through the whole system of orthodontics and braces; this type of treatment is totally unacceptable and condescending to someone who personally has been going here for over 10 years. This woman was the first receptionist to ever present me with a negative experience here.
I had yet another pleasant experience at my dental appt. yesterday. I have been using this dental group for quite some time now and from my very first visit until the present one, I have had only the best to say... not only for the receptionists, but for all the dental assistants, dental hygienists and for my dentist, Dr. Korwek. Everyone I have encountered in this office are always cordial, patient, pleasant, competent and efficient. These are the best dental experiences I have ever had and would recommend this office to anyone who is in need of qualified professionals. For someone who has a fear of needles... my fears are put to rest by the gentleness of administration of medication. Thanks to all who work in this wonderful office.
Besides being one of the offices that are open on a Friday. I really do love how friendly and welcoming the staff is. And firsthand seeing how great they are with kids. I have a four-year-old who can really strike a conversation and keep it going. No matter what the subject is he can always find something to talk about. And here Im think he’s annoying the dentists or distracting them. But they are just amazing with keeping him entertained even while cleaning my teeth. I am thankful and impressed. I know most office feel distracted by little children. But for sure The dental staff at Watertown dental are just amazing. So if you are new to the area and you’re looking for a family dentist. I highly recommend Watertown dental :D
I have been a patient of Dr. Peter Virgas for many many years. I am thrilled by the top notch care I receive visit after visit. When I hear about people switching dentists Im actually struck by the idea that someone would jump ship so to speak. Then it dawned on me that everyone should honestly come over to Watertown Dental Health. They are the clear leaders in their industry , they have literally added services Im positive are not available at other practices. The staff is so professional and knowledgeable, the waiting area and the rooms are immaculate, there is ease to scheduling and i leave happy every time. I truly believe everything they do is to ensure an amazing visit. They can count on me as a life long patient and hopefully under this recommendation I have helped someone who hasnt found the right fit to become a patient of Watertown Dental Health. .
I really liked this place when I first started going but have had alot of problems recently. I left and came back after a year and they switched my dentist. Which is understandable. But my new dentist was rude, had no bedside manner, and barely speaks to me when he is in the room. The first dentist did alot of work for me and I had no complaints. The newer dentist did several fillings at once on one side and made it so I cannot floss between 2 teeth. The front office staff, while not blatantly rude, never smile. And are not very personable or warm. I cancelled my upcoming appointment due to a scheduling conflict and they were verse terse about it. I called 4 days in advance. Even though I had already scheduled this appointment on a different date and they simply cancelled it because it no longer worked for the dentist, and left me a vm of the cancellation. I am just tired of feeling like they dont care about me as a patient. I am moving soon anyways and will just wait until I move to get additional dental work done.I will say though that the hygenists are amazing, warm, welcoming, and are the reason I kept going back even after some things started being a problem.
I dont think there are enough good things I can say about this office. Im absolutely in awe. Dr. Virga is amazing. My dental anxiety is beyond any scope anyone should ever encounter and something about him just set me at ease. I will forever be in debt to him for how he made me feel today. Im actually excited to go back, that is saying a lot.
Although I was extremely grateful for Nancy to get me in on an emergency visit I was appalled at the fact I sat in a room for an hr without anyone checking on. Finally after an hr someone came in to say the dentist would be with shortly then was told it will be a longer wait! I sat in pain and in tears until I walked out. I’m more upset at the fact I waited so long and still have the horrific pain. I also needed to know how much it was going to cost me but had to wait at least another hr to be seen. This has been by far my worst experience
This is where you will find the real professionals. Informative and thorough re dental care. All the high tech (like same day crowns) but still old fashioned friendly. Have implemented Corona precautions so no worries. Fast and efficient hygienist who will put you immediately at ease.
I just recently switched to this dental office. I had a pleasant experience with my intake and had x-rays completed, lots of teaching videos and saw the dentist who was pretty personable and nice, however, there was a long wait to see him. The hygienist went to look for him several times. It was identified that I had a hole in a filling that was recently done at my previous dentist only 5 months ago. I was told that my particular insurance would not cover it as it hasnt been 1 year yet. When I was checking out at Watertown Dental Group I was speaking to the receptionist who let me know it would be 180ish dollars. I told her I am going to call my old dentist to see if they will honor their work and fix the filling as my insurance has advised me to do this In the past. She said well if you get it done here or there they will charge you since it isnt covered. After, speaking to my old dentist they said yes, no problem please come in and we will look at it and take care of it for you. I called Watertown Dental Group to see if they could release the x-rays they just completed back to my old dentist for review. Heres where things go bad. Angel the receptionist who isnt very pleasant said there will be a $25 dollar charge because we have to put it on a disk/thumb drive something or other. I said could you please email the films as they actually prefer email. She said no they do not have that capability. Really? It seems like my x-rays were on the computer screen in the room? Who knows. I then stated my previous dentist sent them to you FREE of charge so you would be able to evaluate me as a new patient but you cant send them a copy of that one film to them so they can fix this problem. I am really bothered by the fact that I have to pay to get a copy of my dental records. So for all you other military dependents, just know when you PCS/ETS you have to pay to get your records for yourself or transferred. Not very accommodating. Not sure if Im going to continue here as I loved the dental hygienist and it is much closer. But Yay for my old dentist to fix the issues and very accommodating. Clayton Dental Office is the epitome of professional and compassion.
I have been to many dentists over the years and I must say this is by far the best dentist I have ever been to. Dr. Virga treats all the members of my family and I have never had any problems with him. Hes been quite gentle in all of the procedures hes performed on me. There was only one time I had an issue which was when I had my wisdom teeth pulled. The next day I called to talk about pain management in the hopes that I would be able to speak with the doctor (I have certain drug allergies and couldnt take the prescription so I was in a lot of pain). However, the receptionist proceeded to give me medical advice and told me to just take OTC acetaminophen and that theyll see me next week. That was 9 years ago and I have never had an issue with any of the staff since.
I visited this place about two weeks ago. The office was very clean and the staff was friendly however, my first visit they took pictures and looked inside my mouth, and then scheduled me for 4 more appointments. I was unclear as to what the appointments were for and I would have appreciated the dentist speaking with me to let me know what to expect. The biggest part I had a problem with is that I had to knowledge of what the cost of the services and how much my insurance would cover. During the check out they hand me this bill and expect it paid that day. I did not appreciate having a bill sprung on me. Whatever issues I have with my teeth I will not go back.
Great, GREAT experience... Which is not usually stated after a dental appointment 😁. After a previous appointment at another facility, which quoted me $9,700 worth of work that needed to be done, the folks at Watertown Family Dental reduced that attempt to take advantage of me by 80%!!! 👍🏻☘️😁. The Dentist and his assistant were fantastic to talk to and made a stressful situation pleasant as possible 😁👍🏻☘️
Dr. Girardi is a pain-free dentist, at least in my case (wisdom tooth extraction). Terrific chair-side manner and skilled hands. The staff is just as amazing. Very brief wait time, very helpful billing staff, cheerful and knowledgeable hygienists giving each patient their very best. Do yourself a favor.
My children have been going to Watertown Dental for two years now and have had wonderful experiences no matter the service (orthodontic; periodontics; regular dentistry/checkups and cleanings). There are sometimes delays, but that is all dependent on the patient before you. We have arrived slightly early on several occasions and have almost always gotten in the chair on time if not earlier than our scheduled appointment. Thank you Watertown Dental group!!
Front receptionist told my wife we didn’t owe any more money for my son’s braces and the insurance was picking up the last portion. Upon returning with my son to get his braces off they hit me up for 87.00. I explained to the receptionist that you told my wife we were finished and I was told my insurance company didn’t pay it yet so basically tough. They would also not take my son’s braces off without my payment effectively holding my son’s mouth hostage and going back on what they told my wife. The main receptionist called my insurance after I paid and said yeah the insurance made a mistake so you’ll get a refund in a couple weeks via check! Unacceptable!!!
Very friendly staff. And even if they dont get to you right on time they give you the time that you need. What would have helped me to five all 5 stars would have been info on how to take care of my dental work after completion, I had to try to go on memory from another time of getting the same thing done.
If you are looking for a quality hygienist for yourself or your children you have to ask for katy.First of all I would like to say that katy my sons hygienist was awesome. She was able to balance cleaning my sons teeth while having a conversation with him. Katy also interacted with my 1 year old and made him laugh while she was working on my oldest, he was having a blast.Secondly katy was very thorough while she was cleaning my sons teeth. She talked my son through the whole process and gave us some good pointers on how to properly care for his teeth. There wasnt a single complaint from my son, which as most of you know how 4 year olds love to complain. On a scale of 1 to 10 Id personally give katy an 11 for the way she made it a fun and educational environment while still achieving the end result.
I wish that I could give a better review. The office is clean and organized and staff seemed friendly to regular patients. I only scheduled an emergency appt with them because my normal dentist wasnt available. I showed up 20 minutes before my appointment time to do paperwork. Then ended up waited an hour past my appointment time before I was called back and then waited another 22 minutes to be seen by anyone. Got xrays and waited another 20 minutes for anyone to come back in the room. They seemed to be very busy and I could hear lots of friendly conversation so the staff seems upbeat and friendly to their regular patients. I had an infected tooth that needed to be extracted, which they dont do so I left with a referral. No Rx for antibiotics or pain meds were given. I was there from 1220p until 215p. Received an xray and 5 mins of face time with an actual dentist. I appreciate that I received a referral to an amazing place that removed the tooth today, but was disappointed that I had to spend $101.00 and 2 hours just for it. Cant say that I would recommend them.
If you enjoy being screwed over this is the place for you! Dentist re did a crown for me that was done by a previous dentist and it hurts more now then it did before. Apparently all the billing is estimated, so even after youve paid your bill, be prepared for a second bill! I called and asked about the bill because I was told the day of my appointment that cleanings are 100% covered. The women on the phone informed me that Ill be receiving more bills in the mail even though I pay after each visit. Do yourself a favor and find a dentist that doesnt double bill you. I thought I found a decent dentist, unfortunately the search continues.
WDHG has always been kind, welcoming and professional from beginning to end. You can sense the positive energy there. My hygiene appointment today with Felicity was terrific! She was so gentle and she used an occlusal brush to clean the base of my teeth which was something new for me. My lavendar aromatherapy parafin wax hand treatment coupled with spa music, relaxed me, and the appointment just flew by. Dr. Virga examined my teeth and was great as usual. Highly recommend WDHG to everyone! They won’t disappoint!
Most educational and informative experience I have ever had. The staff is very pleasant and caring, especially Lora!!! Based on previous experiences at other Dentists Offices, this was by far the best group of visits I have ever had. I have already referred several friends and will continue to do so!!!! Thank you all!!!
I am an active duty spouse stationed on Fort Drum. Between my three children and I, over the last 23 years and 16 moves, to say the least, I have been to a lot of dental offices all around the world. Joseph Girardi is an EXCELLENT dentist, and has a wonderful staff that supports him. I had fillings replaced, a crown put in, and spaces filled. It sounds simple, routine, but every other dentist suggested braces ($8,000). He fixed my smile in one visit without braces. My smile is literally, perfect now. I Face-Timed my daughter and she screamed, “Oh my goodness, Mom! What a difference! Your teeth are beautiful!”I use to avoid smiling, being in photos, or would cover my mouth when I laughed. Dr. Girardi did more than give me my smile back, he changed my life. I can confidently walk into a room, smile first. Their prices are VERY reasonable, and they accept most insurances. The office is very clean, upscale, and has state of the art equipment.Dr. Girardi is the number one choice amongst our military families stationed here; and like me, are willing to fly back to Watertown to see this Dentist. Dr. Girard is a “real find” and I highly recommend him...without exception.
First of all if you come in with braces already and think that they will lower the cost as a transfer patient they WONT they make you pay all over again. If you are okay with spending 7000+ dollars on braces that were already almost done then sure! But if not then absolutely do not go here. They don’t care about you they care about the money! I am saddened by how they think this is alright to do to any family! Shame
Worst dentist I have ever visited ! First of all when I first made an appointment i called to set up an appointment for cleaning for my daughter and I. When we got there, all they did was take pictures of our teeth, they didnt even clean our teeth or anything. When I made the appointment I had the impression that we were getting our teeth clean because thats what I set the appointment for. I was never told that they were just gone literally look at our teeth, take pictures and thats it. Afterwards, they scheduled me and my daughter lots of different appointment schedule for no reason. I never get appointment reminders and they charge 20 dollars for miss appointments. Let me not forget to mention that we have Tricare insurance, I feel as if they were make unnessary appointment just so they can send tricare a bill. They didnt care about their patients at all ! I would NEVER recommend this place.and also I forgot to mention. I received a call from them two days after my first appointment saying that we had an appointment that we missed. I showed them my appointment card to let them know that they never even mentioned or wrote it down. All they could say was we dont know what happen. They really try to get you for you money.
Dr LaClair and his staff have saved me this year! I cannot express enough how thankful I am for this professional top notch provider in our area. I teach approximately 300 students per week at my dance studio; so when I found myself needing immediate dental care and implants Dr LaClair went above and beyond to give me immediate care. He combined with Dr Schneeburger oral surgery in Watertown makes the implant process smooth and possible in this area with the most wonderful professional care. Dr LaClair takes the health of each patient very seriously. His staff is knowledgeable and always ready to help. Emergency phone calls are returned in minutes. I am confident my oral health is so much better because of this wonderful man and his practice.
We have always had excellent care at this office. The only exception would be on our last visit. We had a hygienist with questionable bed side manor. She spoke to both my son and I as if we were stupid. She asked questions, then ignored the answers we gave. This included the conversation regarding my sons medications. She complimented my sons watch.... it was a medic alert bracelet. When I corrected her, she either ignored me again or just didnt care. She never even asked what the alert was for. What professional in a medical setting wouldnt be concerned with their patient wearing a medic alert? She questioned everything we said as if she knew our history better than we did. She made more than one comment on our choice in schooling that may have been well intended but came off judgmental and rude. We will continue to use the office but will not see this hygienist again.
After taking my daughter to another local practice for the past several years, we made the switch to WDHG. The first thing she asked me when we left was when she would get to go back; this coming from a seven year old. Shes always been a bit apprehensive about doctors and health care professionals of any kind, but the experience we had with Dr. Girardi changed that. She was very comfortable throughout her entire visit. Only regret that I have was not switching sooner!
Been a patient for over 17 years, 3 while living in Watertown and 14 while living well over an hour away. I dont know of another dental practice that compares to Watertown Dental Health with its highly trained expert Dentists and staff using the most current treatment technologies available.
Make sure you ask if your insurance is in-network, not if they participate with your insurance. Was told they accepted my insurance and when I left my insurance was expected to pay 100%. Come to find out they are not in-network and my insurance will only pay a portion of the bill. Now between my visit and my sons visit I owe them $300. Thanks. Lesson learned.
From start to finish the appointment was top notch! The building was very will done. Spacious and modern looking. The wait time was less that 15 minutes. I was kept informed throughout my initial appointment and the actual procedure, and was satisfied with the work. Im going to go here from now on.
My family relocated and rather than drive to Syracuse, decided to have everyone come here. My daughter was seen by Orthodontics. The provider was not bad, but he did not share as much info with her as one would hope. My son went for a cleaning, has perfect teeth, and refused to go back. He was treated as a number and was not impressed. I was seen for initial exam, sat in the lobby across from the receptionist. 15 minutes past my time, I had to inquire about when I would be pulled back. Receptionist acted like i was inconvincing her. She came back and said they were 20 minutes behind. (I was 10 min early to fill out paperwork, 15 min past appt time, still not gonna b pulled back for 15 more minutes = 40 minutes BEFORE I could be seen) I was unable to wait any longer just to get to an exam room. I was charged a fee for their mistakes of overbooking or whatever the reason as to why they were behind. I did give it another try. Came back in and was told I needed a root canal. All would be covered by my insurance other than out of pocket for surgery since it was a different provider. Paid for that, went back for follow up for crown appt, was told at check in that I had to pay even more (over $500). Explained this was not what I was told and was unable to pay more. Receptionist again acted like I was unconvincing her yet again. She said well cant you give us a post dated check? I again explained this was not what I was told, and I would not be able to keep appt I was there for. I also told her that I did call in prior to setting up crown appt and was told no out of pocket. After all of this, I was AGAIN charged for a missed appt that was due to their own office staff. I went to a different dentist, and am happy to report that I was able to get my crown with no out of pocket again. Be leary of the office staff and make sure to get everything in writing up front. I do not recommend them.
Had Dr Peter Viara who did not explain the procedure he recommended, had me watch 60 second video no one said how much the procedure was or how it was charged. Deep cleaning is done by the quadrant, $240 ea. quadrant, using shots of novacaine . I was surprised by the needle as I was not told this was going to happen. Not happy at all !
Arrived at 10:20AM for a 10:30AM cleaning. Receptionist told me I was scheduled at 2:30PM. Gave her my appointment card that they gave me 6 months ago that said 10:30AM. All she could say is I dont know what happened. Very unorganized. Always calling you wanting to change your appointment.
Update on my experience - I went there expecting to be in network - they told me that I was in network when I went there then after billing I found out that they were not. Spoke to Peter Virga and he said I dont know what you were told when you came to my office but it is your responsibility to know your insurance company. Just another crooked doctor screwing the little guy.
I wouldn’t even give one star!!! WARNING!!! DR. VIRGA CAME TO THE PHONE AND WAS EXTREEMLY UN-PROFESSIONAL CONCERNING A VISIT THAT WAS COMPLETE WITH HIS OFFICE – HAS RECENTLY HUNG UP ON ME AND ASKED THAT I NEVER CALL THE OFFICE AGAIN… I CALLED HIS OFFICE OUT ON NOT BEING HONEST… WE MOVED TO THE AREA AND WAS LOOKING FOR A DENTIST - THE OFFICE TOLD US THAT THEY WERE IN NET-WORK WITH OUR INSURANCE AND PREFORMED A PROCEEDURE - AFTER PAYING OUR PART THEY SAID THAT THEY WERE NOT PARTICITING WITH OUR INSURANCE AND WE HAVE A BILL FOR $700+ THEY KNEW THEY WERE NOT IN NETWORK AND WIPED OFF MY CHILDRENS ACCOUNT ASHLEY WAS THE REPRESENTATIVE THAT DID THE INS. VERIFICATION AND WHEN THEY FOUND OUT THAT THEY WERE NOT IN NETWORK AND DR. VIRGA WIPED THE ACCOUNT FOR MY CHILDREN AND NOT MY HUSBAND - AFTER ADDRESSING THIS ISSUE AND SPEAKING WITH INS. DEPT. THEY WILL TAKE IT UPON THEMSELVES TO DO WHAT WORK THEY WANT (EVEN IF YOUR INSURANCE WILL NOT COVER THE COST) AND LEAVE YOU WITH THE BILL. THE OFFICE ALSO STATED THAT THEY CALLED AND LMOM FOR US TO CALL CONCERNING ACCOUNT – HOWEVER THEY LMOM FOR A NUMBER THAT WAS NOT OURS… DR. VIRGA HIMSELF HUNG UP ON ME!

2022-06-07I tried to give the benefit of the doubt. I didn’t even throw a fit. We are all human. I get it… but not telling me my insurance is out of network. Overcharging my insurance for procedures not done after you knew I wasn’t coming back. Frauds. Rushing the procedure. Dropping my crown on the ground before it was put back in. Claiming on insurance a new crown was made when it was my old one that I had saved after it fell out 4 days prior. Now I am supposed to be out an extra $1k. Then my bite was off for a week. I asked for my records and I was told there is a 48 hour holding period. I waited a week and I was told they were not ready after wasting my time for coming in. I would give this place a whopping 0 stars if possible. No respect. No dignity. Rude service. But everyone who works there is probably used to it. Thieves. I was even laughed at after I walked out. Save your money from this joke of a place. Anyway to con you. They will. I will make sure to let the entire community know any chance I get to not go here.*** Your response is a joke. I have no problem paying the bill. I have a problem of not doing what I asked. And then claiming other procedures were done and charging me for them. There was no need for clarification. You can’t guarantee anything. I asked for my original crown that fell out to be recemented back in my mouth. It had been out for 4 days. Which you agreed. It’s even in the first claim. I was not talked to or asked or recommended about any new crown or any procedure that needed be done besides a filling which was also double charged for the same tooth for one filling. So do not tell me it is my job to ask questions for the work performed when I specifically asked for what I wanted. I handed over my crown to the dentist. He asked for it. What do I need. To clarify what he does next with it? Do I need to question every instrument being used? Yeah it’s called being duped and ripped off.

2022-06-13I scheduled an appointment for June 2022 during my December 2021 cleaning (six months in advance). The office called to cancel while I was en route to the appointment. Thats fine--things happen. But the soonest they were willing to reschedule was January 2023, seven months from the date of the appointment that I scheduled six months prior. They offered to put me on a waitlist, but I do not have that level of flexibility in my schedule (hence making appointments six months ahead). This demonstrates a complete lack of respect and care for their patients. I do not recommend this dental practice.

2022-04-16The staff is very welcoming!! The technology is simply amazing. The dentist is genuine nice guy who cares. I don’t think you can ask for anything more?UPDATEOkay I had the Same tooth workedon several times. I finally switched back to my old dentist and they are old school but nothing takes 5 times to fix.Disappointing the staff is amazing. There quality of work needs a little help. I think they rely heavily on new technology that’s not exactly right.

2021-07-01Very pleased with the work done in this office. I had the best experience I’ve ever had in any dentist office in my 24 years of life with Dr. Verga and his hygienists. They fixed an issue I’ve been having for years that my previous dentists ignored/didn’t catch. They are very thorough and so very friendly and accommodating. 10/10, highly recommend.

2022-03-04My daughter had her 6 month cleaning with Mary and she couldn’t have been more excited to go. She is so comfortable and at home during her appointments. It’s such a great relief for your child to feel this was instead of the alternative. Mary is magic! ✨

2022-06-20Another cleaning appointment with my hygienist, Mary. Shes a total professional. Even though she has been my hygienist for several years she still takes the time to explain what she is doing. Thanks!
