This particular location has horrible customer service. I normally don’t do reviews like this. I’m never difficult ordering. It’s a community business with decent food and I try my best to take into consideration many things. But after two prior unsatisfying occurrences I decided this time to alert others before their spending hard earned money. I found hair today in my order of oxtail rice and cabbage. It was a long noticeable strand of hair in my food. When I called the Resturant a woman who said she was the “manager” decided to handle the situation. As a manager her conduct first was unprofessional. I was told to take a picture of the hair, ok. but when I tried to explain in the picture you couldn’t see this strand in the food Ill put it on a napkin she became irritable. She felt I should bring the food to them. But what would have been the point of delivery? She said this never happened before and deemed it proper to hang up on me. I called back to get a refund she and my number was blocked. I had ordered more food with this order and at this point was turned off from all. All who order out knows it can be pricey especially when for a family.I am big on customer service in any industry. As a customer who considers people, who tips, and who worked with this Restaurant; I think other hard working businesses deserves my money. Good luck to all that consider. I really hope your experiences are better than mine.
Savory and delicious oxtails, peas and rice, curry chicken, cabbage, fresh ginger drinks, homemade patties and many more West Indian meals and treats. Good eats!Customer service is definitely up to par and they deliver too. Do stop in, if not, then order in...they dont disappoint.
I found my favorite Caribbean food restaurant again! A new location but the same great food. I have my all time favorite tonight the oxtails, and they are delicious! If you are looking for good comforting food you must stop here. And grab a juice too they are great too!
My son and I went here for dinner & we literally waited 100 years to order. Theres only 1 person at the counter & she needs help obviously. We finally did order mac & cheese, stewed chicken with rice & peas. All I can say is WHERE IS THE FLAVOR?! The mac tasted like air, the portions of food was skimpy. I ordered the large and all they gave us were like 4 tiny plaintains. I will not be returning.
This is my go to West Indian joint when I crave a taste of home. Stew chicken, curry chicken, curry goat, oxtail, and lots more. Very inexpensive - a medium platter with rice and peas, stew chicken, cabbage, plantain and lots of gravy for less than $9. If you’re lucky, they have homemade sorrel to drink and real black cake for dessert. Home cooking the way it’s supposed to be! My Bajan soul revels in every meal I get here - a small, neighborhood joint worth the trip to 145th.
The food is tasty but they dont always have the food I want when I go there they run out of stuffed way too often and one time I saw a guy behind the counter getting food for himself that was so odd I dont care if hes the owner or if he works there its just didnt look right. So in conclusion they need to improve on certain aspects of their company but the food is on point no complaints for me especially when its actually there
Besides a rude customer skipping me and being greedy with begging for more cabbage and holding up the lady from making other orders it was pretty good the Mac and cheese was ok the rice was good and the oxtails was ok but the gravy that was made was a good base for the rest of the food everything went well together!I it also came with like 3 baby plantains that was fried good !!!

2020-08-18Today is Tuesday August 18th, 2020. Im all for supporting black businesses but Im going to be completely honest today. I ordered a medium sized Curry goat with white rice, cabbage, and plantains. I also got a piece of Jerk Chicken on the side. The total came up to $18. Im really upset because the medium sized plate was small and he gave me way more rice than Curry goat. The rice covered more than half of the plate!! (Look at the picture)The plantains were burnt and nasty. But I can say the jerk chicken and the curry goat were good but other than that Im very disappointed. I used to come here a lot but after today I wont be back for a while.

2021-11-12Listen, I come here almost as often as every Monday. This might be my favorite place in the city and for more reasons than one. Namely, I love the people that work here. You are taken care of and treated with warmth and respect. The food. Really doesn’t get any better. For 9 bucks or so (before tax), I get a medium jerk chicken plate with plantains and cabbage and rice and peas and the best jerk sauce there is. And when they have it, I get their pineapple ginger drink. It’s glorious. From the moment I come in to the moment I leave. Go here and enjoy it for yourself.

2018-08-28I was going to get a juice but the food smelled so good that I ordered a fish. It was Blue Snapper and tasted very good.Only thing was that they told me it will take 10 min but it took 20 min. If I was not in rush, it was ok but I was meeting someone and it was a bit frustrating to wait double time. If it is not a daily special, prepare to wait for a while.

2017-11-29One of my favorite spots in the neighborhood. The food is outstanding, and a small plate are actually a small mountain of food. The jerk chicken is spectacular, but the oxtail and the brown stew are also excellent. BBQ chicken was moist and tender and the sauce was special. Next time I might have them put the jerk sauce on the chicken, and see how that works out. Each plate comes with 2 or 3 sides. I usually get mac & cheese, cabbage, and plantains, which are all really good.I usually get a ginger infused sorrel juice with my meal. Its a terrific compliment. The family/staff is really kind and friendly, and theres a good vibe in this nice family restaurant.

2020-04-16I couldnt wait to go home to open my bowl and start eating. Omg the food is so delicious!!!! Today was my first time purchasing food from here. The rice and beans is so gooo! The goat is perfect just the way I like it. I will definitely be ordering next time. Also for the bad reviews: Are you guys serious??? Its better not to put too much salt because not much people can handle it. So if you think its bland just dash some salt on it.
