We were in the neighborhood and we were feeling like a good burger and as usual, we enjoyed it a lot. Chocolate shake always hits the spot.

Wayback has way better than average fast food. (Sorry, couldnt help myself). But Im all honestly the tots are great and always crispy even after a ride in the car for takeout. Burgers are always cheesy and delicious and the chicken in my Chicken BLT wasnt gamey and well cooked. Overall I highly recommend if you want a change from the traditional fast food joint.
My wife and I absolutely love this place. My wife is not a big fan of burgers, she eats less than 10 a year. We found this place a month ago when we moved here from Texas, and she has eating here at least 10 time in just 5 weeks. The staff is always friendly and the place is always clean.
Great food here, however today theyre lacking in Customer Service. During the lunch rush they only have 2 employees, when I went to place my order he advised me the wait will be 25 min or longer bc theyre filling online orders as well. For a fast food restaurant thats unacceptable....hire more people so you can keep up with the demand. I spent my whole lunch break waiting on my food. Smh

Love the service and definitely the quality of the food we are provided each visit. Their shakes are phenomenal though I do wish they had a variation of sizes to the detriment of my weight loss. The only concern would be the toppings on their fries or nachos.. its better to order in person to request truly loaded or melted on cheese etc. Other than that this is our go to for shakes and real burgers. Their veggie burger is amazing and so is their COD.
Fantastic Burgers even the impossible Burger tasted awesome. Best impossible Burger iteration. Also regular burgers were amazing and my son loves the hot dogs.
The burgers are OK, loaded fries were soggy and underwhelming flavor. Spice chicken sandwich had day old lettuce. For burgers and fried its better to go to Five guys.
Came to this place on a Friday night and it seems quite busy. Very fast paced and I can tell they’re working. Blessy (I think that’s what she said her name was) took my order she was very sweet and got to work on my order right away. She definitely knew what she was doing! The burgers tasted amazing the cook makes them very delicious and juicy. Even with a longer wait it was definitely worth it and the kind service from the girl at the register made the wait worth it.
Creamsicle shake was the thing, it didnt even make it home. The burger and fries were good but the shake was everything for me it was living my best life moment yum. I like that they make items fresh there. So far I have never gone to wayback and said why, I have been consistently happy.

I came here a year ago and I ordered a burger, the burger was good but I ordered a craft your own hotdog was when the tall guy behind the counter started laughing at me saying how its weird of what I put in it, what else was I supposed to put in it in a burger place that has limited choices? He just kept laughing and teasing me about it. I felt embarrassed, angry and disgusted of his actions and his remarks.
Yes! If you like burgers go there! Its in my Top 5 burger places. Eat in and you wont be disappointed! Its is Less greasy then competitive burgers and fresh toppings, Yum! Can make you feel like your having a burger on a warm summer day! OH, They also do much more then burgers. Ive had the fried chicken club and it was tender juicy and delish! Go check it out!My only complaint, the day I went I think the air conditioning was on, the restaurant was cold! Im pretty sure it was to increase airflow in the covid times

Awesome burgers at a reasonable price! Double burger with cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and fried onions is only $7.59. Very tasty, as it seems they use the smash and scrape technique. Since burgers are made to order, they can take a while during peak times, so I suggest to order before going there.
Quality burgers and fries, just a bit pricey but you get what you paid for.
The burgers were amazing. It was my first time going there and I was blow away at how good they were. What amazed me even more was that it was around if not cheaper than McDonalds or burger King. 100% recommend going there. Only slight problem was the waiting time but its a 5 star for sure
First time I waited 48 minutes for my food. Legit 48 minutes, not an exaggeration. I decided to try again and order on DoorDash. I placed the order, they confirmed the order, then they marked it as ready on DoorDash. I drove to pick up the order and of course it was not ready and I waited another 22 minutes.Edit: Just like their wait time in store, it took 2 months to reply to a concern on here.
The impossible melt was amazing, the staff is very friendly and the service was great. However, The fries were a bit oily, I think they rushed them cuz I saw other people waiting too. But the employees were very nice
Nice soft burgers and good milk shakes
Placed an online order for instore pick up, showed up 5 minutes after the order was supposed to be ready. It said order will be ready at 5:55 pm. Was told to take a seat, while I sat down I watched people come in place orders and leave with those orders, yet my order that was placed was not made. After getting to the store I waited 23 mins in addition to the 25 mins prior my order was placed. 48 mins to wait for take out burgers is not acceptable. No apology, just excuses that its out of there control. Very very poor excuse with even worse customer service. We will not be returning here.

This place will make you say five guys who? my favorite fast food burger place. The fact they have specials every week for different burgers and shakes makes it fun to go and try out whats new that week... The onion rings are the best Ive ever had and everything else is awesome. Just ate at this dump. The kid behind the counter just yelled at me for using too many napkins! No joke. I spilled some soda on the table by accident and so I thought I would do the nice thing a clean it up. Then the guy starts yelling at me from across the restaurant that I am using too many napkins. Too many napkins? I guess this place isnt making money if they are worried about customers using too many napkins. My coworker just told me that his kid got sick from this place a while back, too. Overpriced garbage hamburgers served by rude people. No thanks!
This place has a friendly & helpful staff. It was our first visit & they gave us a full breakdown of the menu & how to order. Then they bring the food to you at your table. The icing on the cake is that their burgers & chicken tenders are GREAT! The battered onion rings are good too. I tried a black & white shake from their extensive shake menu...it was thick, creamy, just the perfect shake. Need to find an excuse to be back in the neighborhood to visit again!

Roosevelt field mall is my go-to spot. I got tired of their food court so my friend recommended me Wayback Burgers which was only a few minute drive away. This location was my first experience and I was not disappointed!!! The burgers are made fresh in front of you and I love how I can customize my burger to my liking, just like Five Guys. Except FiveGuys doesnt have different meat options. There was beef, chicken, fish, and veggie option. I chose beef but will definitely try fish next time. That looked yummy. Their onion rings are so CRISPY AND CRUNCHY. And I especially enjoyed their cajun tater tots. I will definitely come back with my friends and family. Staff was welcoming too.
8 minutes to get my burger, but very good.Burger brought out and fries coming right out Do I wait and my burger gets cold, or start eating?Start eating. Fries came out when I was more than 1/2 done with my burger. Fries were ok.Only 3 stars cause service was a little slow, but did was good. I will probably revisit and see how it goes another time in case this was just a 1 off event for them. Staff appeared disorganized, as if it was there first night working together and they were all new employees.As for the food: The classic burger with the works did not disappoint.I suggest that if you plan to takeout then order ahead of time.And, get the app. If you do then there is a promotion currently to give you a free burger. On your next visit.
Feel like the meat quality has changed for the worse. The last couple of times I ordered from there the burger meat tasted old.
I love Wayback Burgers. Its fast food but its good. I love the shakes and their chips are addicting. My son loves going here - its a great place to eat up with friends. I typically get the Philly Burger but with Chipoe Mayo. You can customize how many burgers you want and exactly what you want in it which makes this fast food close to perfect in my book!
Always fresh, never frozen, lick your fingers, smack your lips, and dig in like theres no tomorrow delicious burgers. Also best fries on the eastern seaboard, possibly the whole country, although I havent been to the South, or the West...so thats to be determined. Service is super friendly and fast, place is clean and comfortable. If you didnt like, you probably went somewhere else ;)

Burgers and onion rings are great. If you order on the app, its an easy process and my food was ready on time. Also received a free burger after my first order with the app. Its a little pricey, but worth it.
They had the best burgers ever!!!!!! Nice and cooked fresh and the onion rings were fantastic washed down with a yummy strawberry shake. The staff was friendly and attentive, will come again for more!

First time here. Employees seemed very confused on the orders and it took about 20mins to get the food. I only ordered cheese fries and there was barely any cheese on them and by the time I got them the cheese was mostly solidified and cold from waiting to be given to me. Kind of disappointed, I was really craving cheese fries that night and wasnt satisfied. Also got a chocolate milkshake and it was kind of chunky. 🤷🏼♀️

It’s a good place and all but the delivery service is horrible. I literally waited 2 and a half hours just to eat two cheesy burgers. The food is actually pretty good but the service and delivery needs work.
We make this a Friday ritual every week. Never had a bad experience here. Food is always great, every single time. Staff is always super friendly, courteous and helpful. They know us by name now! That says alot.
Cashier forgot one onion ring order and wasnt the nicest, had to pay separate for the onion she later brought them oily, we didnt eat them.Beside that the burgers were yummy
Burgers are ok. Smash and five guys still better. Dont come here if theres more than four people waiting cuz they take forever making a burger. Waited 25 mins just for a single cheese burger without fries. Which turns out they forgot to make. So i actually waited another 15 mins. They refunded my money, but spend most of my lunch break waiting for my food. By the way it happen before. The staff cant handle anymore than five people at a time.
Highly disappointed. Ordered through doordash and was completely missing an item (which was my actual meal no less). It wasnt doordashes mistake because it was completely missing from the order ticket affixed to the bag. I called the restaurant to speak with someone and was on the phone with Marisol who claimed to be the manager. She continued to speak over me while I was talking and not very helpful. She asked if I were to come pick it up ... Which tbh is THE OPPOSITE of what I was looking to do since I ordered through Doordash to deliver for me. With no other choice, my bf had to go and pick it up. I told her I would appreciate if they would remake the entire meal since now we had to go back to get a burger that they didnt make leaving everything now ice cold. She refused saying that they are a small restaurant. Ive been in the restaurant business for over 15 years and whenever we messed up a ToGo order, we always offered to remake the whole thing out of courtesy. But hey, I guess thats why the restaurant Im at has been super successful. My bf arrived and asked for a refund for the burger that was missing. Thats the reason for the 1 star. Other than that, Marisol and Jakes Way back need to be a bit more attentive when fulfilling orders and a bit more accommodating.
Wasnt sure what to expect with this place based on its name. All in all the burger was good, fresh and tasted great.Not a fan of the pricing, I thought the burger price included the fries and drink; didnt expect them to be extra.The place is clean, staff is friendly and the burgers are good......

Fast and friendly service.. the burgers are similar to five guys .. but better ..I love the double toasted bun.. thus exceeding my expectations.Fries .. outstanding.. and not greasy.
They have amazing burgers. This is the best part. Its that its not only burgers. They also have nachos, fris, and so many more appetizers. The most unique thing is this. They have a humoungues burger with so many layers. Its really tasty there. My favorite the was the nachos fris with jalapenos. 100% would go there again with my friends. Recommend.
I was looking forward to going back today to get some great burgers, but when I was there, I was reminded about one little thing. They charge for a side of sauce. Last time, I asked for a side of ranch sauce for our chicken tenders. Fifty cents extra for the sauce. This time, I asked for a side of ranch for the onion rings and again they wanted fifty cents extra. Come on. Give one side of sauce as part of the meal and then charge if the customer wants more. Probably not going back.
Delicious bacon burger and fries. Low-key the best fries I ever had. My ice tea taste was refreshing and not too watery. Love this place.

I dont know what strikes me the most about this place. I cant decide between the excellent service, the delicious fresh food that is cooked right in front of you (all of it), or the half hour conversation I had with Chett (the man who cooked my food) that could have lasted longer if i was not in a rush. plus they have their own sauce that tastes absolutely amazing with the onion rings called wayback sauce. Cant go wrong when choosing a place that has their own sauce lol
One of the best BurgerJoints ever. Shake shack move over. The wayback gold sauce amazing, milk shakes crazy and I usually never have a milk shake, and Burgers mouth watering. Need I say more??

First off the posted hours are wrong.(probably because management does not care enough to update) They closed at 9pm today and i believe 9pm mon-thurs. The service is terrible but the food, while being insanely overpriced, is very good. Upon entering you will find distracted and uninterested, unexperienced workers behind the counter. The store is kept pretty clean although i have only been there when it wasnt busy. Overall i cannot understand why they keep business, nowadays five guys, sonic, and anything else outweigh this place in service, price, and taste.

ITS THE PICKLE IN THE BURGER WHAT I ACTUALLY TASTE! Im giving wayback a three take away one of the es from that word and use that e for effort. Burger King whopper taste better than this establishment, and dont even try to compare them with shakeshack, smash burger or even five guys. No comparison. I cant believe people are actually choosing these people over the shack or smash and the shake was milk with a hint of strawberry flavor.

Worst burger Ive ever had. Only one type of cheese in a burger place, really? You cant customize your burger. The meat was gray and flat. The fries were gross. Everything was just all wrong.
I love the food here and eat here all the time, just have a huge problem with what time they start packing up the place to close at night. They start closing up the place 40 minutes early and tell you that you have to eat your food outside. So here Iam, eating their food outside on the curb writing this review at 8:57 PM

I found a hair in my burger and brought it to the register the response i got from the cashier was “ we don’t have hair like that” meanwhile the employee that cooked my food had the hair i found in my burger there was no apology or return we left very angry at the restaurant and do not plan on eating here in a very long time if u come in make dure theres no hair in your burger before you take a bite

2022-02-06Tried both impossible and garden burger. Later is my favorite. You can customize the toppings to your taste. Which I like the idea rather going with a standard menu. Fries are good too.

2022-05-26Was here on a Saturday and the customer service was great. The young girl seemed very attentive to her customers and put on a smile every time she talked to a customer even though I could tell it was busy. The burgers tasted great and shakes were good too. Fries needed more salt but I could easily fix that myself. Would recommend!

2022-05-01If you want a juicy , melts in your mouth, savory, delicious burger, Wayback Burgers will NOT disappoint!! Fries were a bit overcooked but didnt take away from the whole experience! Cant wait to try the other menu item. I orders the classic with cheddar cheese lettuce tomatoes mustard ketchup and jalapenos. I tried the fries with their gold sauce, that was golden!! My 6 year old tild me even before I took my first bite, mom, there is something juicy about this burger. Now I know what she meant. LOL

2022-04-28Long wait- kinda thought it was expensive for what it is to be honest. Burger was “eh”at best nothing to write home about honestly. Shakes eh. Chicken fingers were fire. Fries eh. Burger city is definitely the better choice here.

2022-06-28Burger was a little dry. also bland as if the meat was unseasoned. however the onion rings were excellent. neither were particularly greasy so thats a plus

2020-01-23Today, for lunch my coworker and I were heading down Hempstead tpk and decided to try out Wayback Burger. This place delivered us a fantastic product. I went with the cheeesey which is a double cheese burger with upside down bun and i also ordered totchos which is tater tots with pulled pork and other fixings. My friend went with the classic combo. These burgers were absolutely delicious. They were juicy, cheesy, flavorful and were gone in about 1 minute. We were both very satisfied with our burgers. He rated his a 8.1 and I gave mine a 8.5. I would drive 10 minutes out of the way for a burger like this. The totchos were pretty good but I dont know if I would order them again. After the burgers i was still craving something so i ordered a vanilla shake. It was the perfect way to finish off a burger that juicy. I would be remiss if i didnt mention the cashier seemed cool and was very nice to both of us. That guy belongs in the service industry because he was certainly a peoples person. All in all Im giving that experience 5 stars and would certainly recommend this place to a friend or feed it to my family... Oh and just so you know they take samsung/apple pay and the bathrooms were in order and clean.

2021-11-15Visited for first time in a while, when the flash storm drove us from the NCAA Womens Soccer Playoffs at Hofstra last Saturday. My daughter and I werent disappointed. Awesome burgers at reasonable prices. Great sides, including tater tots! Super friendly service. Wouldve been 5-stars if they didnt forget the bacon on each of our burgers, then giving us the over cooked scraps.

2022-03-02The burgers here are freaking delicious and they have an awesome menu too. I highly recommend trying them out when you have a chance.
