Havent been here in awhile but love spending time here even tho I have a pc at home, love the atmosphere and having people around to play with. Made some friends here to play with. Friendly and nice environment to be in. Only $5 an hour to play pretty much the most popular games. They have drinks & food as well. Accessories, anime collections and other collectibles.
Great environment, the staff are friendly and helpful and the cinnamon rolls are really good! I go there for pc gaming and if awesome to get a hot coffee and snack while in playing. They will even bring your order to the computer area if you are in game. I love it there, 100% recommended.
This is my favorite place to spend my free time. The machines are well kept, fast and the high speed connections enable great online gaming. The staff are courteous and the food is very good, especially the cookies. Their pricing is very affordable and the more you put down the more hours you get. They also stay with you so no need to feel pressure to use up what you purchased in 1 sitting. I definitely recommend following on social media as they do have events so you may not be able to get a machine if its reserved for a tourney.
I went here last night, and the impression I left with was this place is so cool. Not only was everyone playing smash as you walk in, but the staff was just incredibly friendly and had great customer service. It felt like I came to their house and they were a great host. The dude who doesnt know how to make grilled cheeses (sorry I didnt ask for a name!!)

This is a great place to game. The PCs are reasonably speced and the network is great. To top it off, the cafe portion has ample seating and friendly staff make it a chill place to hang and work during the day as well.If youre a gamer who enjoys the chance to socialize or needs a new place to practice or play for a few hours, I highly recommend this spot. If youre not, this place is very inclusive and youll find people of all backgrounds and ages.
Very Good games and PCs. Has good food and good customer service. The staff is very nice and eager to help. I also like how making an account at the cafe carries over any time you have left to the next time you go there. I highly recommend . Also , the Essex street and Bowery subway stations are close,(Less than 10 min away). Tournaments are held there every once in a while so it can get a little crowded at times so I recommend going there weekdays,( but definitely not on Sundays!) .
Love spending time here when I can. It is a friendly and welcoming atmosphere with great computers that made playing some of my favorite games incredibly enjoyable without any lag. Sometimes I lose track of time in here too so if youre a gamer like me, Id recommend investing in some of their higher packages to save some money and get more play time for your buck.
This is a great place. They have food, drinks, and lots of computers with pretty new hardware that runs everything quite well. You can also rent a headset (for free) you just have to let them hold onto your drivers license. Very inexpensive prices for computer usage as well.
Clean, friendly, and modern. I found everything i needed for my PC gaming needs. The staff were friendly and helpful. Their iced coffee is tasty as well. I also got to play a couple games with another player that sat a couple seats down from me, so that was cool! The pricing seems fair considering all of the above.
Friendly staff, I enjoyed the smooth jazz music they played and the great prices on everything, especially renting time on the computers. Sadly my positive notes end there. The bathroom is really gross and (I know its not the staffs fault) but the clientele smell. I wish people would try and elevate above the gamer stereotype but sadly its smelly and full of axe body spray. Also the keyboards are very dusty and the tables/chairs up front could use some replacement, theyre pretty beat up and broken. One table had a bad top if you so much as rest on it. I wouldnt rest my coffee on it. Over all I wish a little more pride was put into the cleanliness. Small fixes could go a long way to make this place 5 stars.I give it 3/5.
My time here has been, alright. The staff can be terse with you and the PC area can run a little toasty (was starting to sweat). The equipment was dusty and dirty and the stations/tables have seen better years. They dont seem to have a Steam cache server either as my request for an install was declined due to how busy it was. The clientele also makes you believe that some gaming stereotypes are still true.
Very chill vibe and cozy environment! Staff was extremely helpful and accommodating! Would definitely recommend to any gamer who wants to get away from home to chill and relax here. The coffee and pastries were great too! Pricing is extremely reasonable . Definitely paying a trip back soon.
The computers are okay. The games load in a bit slower than Im used to, so Im assuming theyre downloaded onto harddrives instead of SSDs. The rates per hour arent bad ($5). Also, I would avoid the discord channel if you see it advertised. I have never seen such a no-fun, toxic, unwelcoming community. The people who work physically at the store seem nice, but all of the admins and some of the members on the channel that attend the store are very rude.
Had a blast in this place with a friend, but even though you payed to play the games some are unplayable because you need to sign in (blizzard or steam games) to play and some require to purchase them. Maybe I did not know of another account i can try and play on that they can provide but luckily my friend had two accounts so i can play somethings with him. Overall tho great hang out for friends and even meet new ones. (ps pc games are not the only things that you can play, they had a switch and possibly more up front)
Update: rude staff, low tables so if you’re taller don’t bother. Also bought 5 hours used one because the refresh rate was terrible, chair wasn’t high enough and when I went to the desk to speak about it. The person at the desk was really rude, immediately telling me the chairs were adjustable as if I didn’t try to adjust. It just isn’t a good spot. Wasted $50 here only to be treated like someone who didn’t pay lol. Went downhill. Good mix of people here and easy to hop in matches, the chairs are low on some tables and Im tall so it was a little annoying but still a nice spot!
Mouse pad wasnt great and you can tell the keyboard is very cheap. Some of the workers there were really nice and helpful while one of the workers were plain rude. If u were going to that place bring ur own keyboard, mouse, mouse pad and headset. But if ur going there to play any games like league of legends or non shooter then u should be fine.
Expensive relative to places outside NYC, but the equipment was good, environment was clean, and the staff was helpful. They even let me install a game they didnt have so I can play it on my steam account; unfortunately the game didnt work but thats just because the game has a lot of bugs. I have not tried their food or drinks so I cant judge on that but they do seem to be good, and other reviewers mentioned they were good. Its not that crowded. A problem Ive noticed this place had was that it closed so early. Back in my home country these gaming cafes would literally be on 24/7 and there would be people playing all the time. Nonetheless it is pretty good as far as gaming cafes go.
Small but the community and people here definitely make the place home. If youre in the city and need a computer to play games, stream, or even just to get some work done, definitely swing by and grab a cup of their various specialty drinks.Waypoint has also participated some amazing charity initiatives and the staff are beyond friendly. If you stop in, tell the Battle Brothers, I sent you!
I went there today to check it out because I had been putting it off for a while (I get busy).Ive never been in a cleaner cafe. I mean, with all the pc gaming rigs in there, they cant afford to let dust pile up. It was so sleek and spotless, especially with how packed it was. There were around 30+ stations to rent and nearly each one was taken. There were also standard cafe tables for hang-out customers or card/small board gaming, and these were full, too!Everyone I talked to was nice, and the mocha was excellent (tasted like they added honey or something similar, and that was honestly delicious). It appeared that they had their own unique launcher for their available games. I would assume thats standard (never been to a net cafe before), and the printed price options were really attractive. Plus, your unused time rolls over and accumulated on your account, so youre never wasting money if you have to leave early.
Great place ,always clean ,great computers and the guys are awesome .I’ve been here a lot of times and love it .2 things that i don’t like ,it closes to early on weekdays (10 pm) ,and they don’t let you have any outside food or drinks .The food understandable ,but drinks ? I’m coming here to play for 4 hours 3-4 times a week and i can’t enjoy a drink that you don’t make while playing ? But overall its a cool place
Decided to check this place out after some of my gaming friends came into town and we wanted to play some Overwatch. Previously, we checked out a different Gaming Cafe in Jersey that blew away our expectations. My friends and I walked in with high expectations and left disappointed after requesting a partial refund for not staying as long as originally planned.Waypoint Cafe is warm and cozy, LED lit computer cases line the top of cubicles, gaming chairs, headsets, keyboards and mice all await you. Once you sit down you realize how low quality the peripherals are.The seats are probably the cheapest option you can find on the market for gaming chairs- very little configuration options for the armrest. The WORST part is the fact the chair height adjustment does not align with how high the cubicles are. This makes sitting properly extremely difficult, I cannot imagine someone shorter than I being comfortable, let alone be able to game without back or neck pain. The headset quality is low, and my mouse had 2 nonfunctional side buttons. No access to system sound and proprietary peripheral applications limits your ability to fine tune and adjust.Overall all of the complaints I had with Waypoint, were solved at Local Battles in Jersey. I highly suggest taking the trip over the bridge, your back, neck and wrists will thank you.
This cafe is filled with toxic people. The workers are loyal and everything but if you want to meet friends people are pretty much toxic. The workers even allow some people get computer time for free and that’s unfair. If you’re broke ok but many other people are financially struggling the cafe should stick with charging everyone.

Excellent staff at any time of the day. They dont have the wraps anymore, but they have pastries and coffee drinks any time of day. And Bawls. Theyre open to game suggestions to add to their system if they can do it, and the chairs are comfy! Super nice spot to spend time at.
Gamers dream come true and friendly community!Going to this place for the first time with my dad was a blast! Not only are the prices fair (5 dollars per hour for 4k gaming) but the community is very friendly. Sure, you may hear some hard core gamers cussing from time to time, but in other times, this place is pretty chill. Me and my dad decided to check the place out and play some csgo, world of warcraft 2, apex legends, etc. The only reason I am giving this place a 4 out of 5 stars is because the problem is that the programm they use to keep track of you is a tiny bit broken, in a way, the games rarely didnt launch or had to close out and try second time, but normally everything is smooth. Even if you are there to enjoy a cup of coffee, this is still an amazing place to go to. My recommendation is bring a group of friends on a Friday evening or Saturday day and just hang out with each other. In my opinion, this place was amazing and would recommend it for ages 10 and above ( I am 15 years old my self) and try to have fun.Pro:1. friendly community and staff2. open space for the player3.smooth 4k gaming4. great time to spend playing gamesCon:1. too many immature 12 year olds playing fortnite and minecraft and cussing2. might need to relaunch your game second time rarelyHope this review helped you out and see you in the battlefield !
Setup was really dirty, Crumbs, and other types of foods. Mousepad was kinda small, Chair got uncomfortable over time, The Microphones on the Headsets weren’t working. I asked for help on the headsets and a worker came and didn’t even try. Keyboard was ok, Mouse was ok, Just wished they supported ps4 controllers. Another thing is navigating on the Pc was a little confusing. But everything else was ok.
Super colorful and gamer-y set-up!! really nice staff and easy to set up. They have different bundles for time and for the time you didnt use up, it gets saved on an account you can make super easily!! really awesome vibe overall:) will come often to play overwatch with the beautiful 200fps
My favorite hangout place, clean space, great staff and fast PCs and interface. I find their costs to be reasonable and the hours you dont use rollover as you create your own account that you log into when you play. I find the connectivity online to be fast and stable as well.
Discovered this place was literally right next door to where I stayed. Popped my head in and felt very welcomed. David gave me three low down of the place and I just visited with him, Craig, and Chris. Each were super chill. Definitely recommend if youre looking for a group of gamers to hang out with for the day. Only complaint was they sold bean chips. Ew. Doritos n mountain dew plz
I love coming here. Great staff, computers, games, food, and community. They also have great events like OWL showings. Waypoint really filled a big need within the gaming community here in NYC, and theyre only getting bigger. Congratulations on being showcased by the Overwatch League, you deserve it!
I went at this cafe with my brother because we wanted to play some r6s and league during our New York trip (from Paris). The prices are reasonable (5$ per hour and its gets better the more hours you take) . The computers are very good (it can run everything very well) the keyboard and mouse are very good too but the headsets arent as good (opened ones so you can hear everybody arround) and i couldnt use my own because of the computer tower being too far away for my cable. The seats arent very good either but it does the job. Anyway the quality of the service is very good, the food price is just a little high for what it is (3.50$ for a piece of warmed brownie wich was good but clearly not home made. For the games you have quite all of the trendings ones and you can download if their isnt what you want to play (took 10 min to download War Thunder). The staff is very nice and will help you if you need.Very good service and pretty cheap.
Its a good cafe and they have good games and Better then good Computers but unless you have games on a USB, theyre most likely not gonna let you download your games on their PCs. Its understandable since multiple computers are connected but still something to keep in mind.
Let me just say that I absolutely love Waypoint. The staff there is always very kind and ready to help should an issue arise. The only issue is how crowded it tends to get as the afternoon progresses - if you do want to grab a computer, come as close to opening as possible beforehand.
Waypoint Cafe is an amazing place to be in, the PCs work well, the food is great, the staff is smart and are good people. My only complaint is that they removed their salads from the menu and so being a gluten free pescetarian I can only have drinks and chips, but that is only a minor annoyance for me.
Good PCs and clean, but the desks are way too tall for the chairs unless you like gaming with your elbows at your ears (hyperbole, but still.) The gaming space is also set up as cubicles which were cramped for my taste. Regardless of what I saw as flaws I believe waypoint cafe is the best gaming center in the areaUpdate: Ive been back and they have a new set of chairs that rise higher off the ground! Its about 50/50 split between new and old. Look for the chairs that say Raynor Gaming on the back
I had a pleasant experience in this place. It was my first time in a gaming cafe, so I have no point of reference. Therefore, I have no idea of what to expect from a gaming cafe. Nonetheless, I will try to to make this review as objective as I can.The PC was good enough. It had a 1060 GPU, and I assume the rest of their PCs have the same GPU. I am not sure whether it was a TI or not, though. There are a lot of games that come already installed on the PCs: Overwatch, PUBG, Fortnite, among many others. I am not an MMO player, but if you are, I assume that you will find what you want. All the monitors have 144hz refresh rate as I was told by the guy who works there. Here is a fact; you can’t play an FPS game, at least competitively, with anything less than that refresh rate. The owner of this cafe seems to have a grasp of this fact. The mouse and the keyboard were good, but the headphones not as much. The mechanical keyboard was nice to have, although you can never go wrong with a keyboard. They all pretty much do the same. As for the mouse, it did the job just fine. You can change the DPI to one of the 6 pre-set option, too. The headphones were just plane bad.The Dxracer chair was comfortable. My problem was with the way I was forced to sit by the chair. The chair doesnt go high enough to match the desk height. Also, I couldnt adjust the backrest to be able to play comfortably. When I lay my back on the backrest, everything would be way too far.I will not comment on the prices. It’s beyond my judgment to know if they were fair or not as I have never been to a gaming cafe before. The gentleman that was behind the counter was super friendly and informative. He would also come to check every now and then.
Officially my favourite place in the city. Prices are reasonable for top of the line equipment, the staff are incredibly friendly, the regulars are incredibly friendly and the food is very good! Im very happy I found this place! I will be coming here a lot more often.
Great spot in the LES. Clean and open spot with great coffee and solid gaming PCs. Owner and staff are great. Cant ask for a better spot in the city dedicated to gaming/eSports/coffee.Waypoint currently acts as homebase for NYXL supporters as well so if youre an Overwatch League fan, pop by on a game night.
Awesome LAN Center, awesome layout and busy when I went (smaller city ones are usually a ghost town)Only complaint is the software on the computer doesn’t allow system tray access for things like the volume mixer. That’s super important for some games. That’s on ggLeap though, they’re the worst lan software I’ve seen so far...
The menu at Waypoint, a new semi-secret restaurant on the Southold waterfront, has something for everyone. In the summer, my friend and I swooned over the seviche while sitting on the deck. As the weather got more brisk, we returned with another couple. Everyone was delighted with their food. The specialty meatballs were dreamy, the veal chop first rate. The wine list is well chosen, and the desserts were a big hit. The friendly, knowledgeable attention from the owner and waitstaff was both relaxed and poilished. A welcome entry on the list of go-to North Fork dinner spots.
Pros:-Chill atmosphere.-Great PCs.-Large variety of games (have the option to play your own via steam, blizzard, etc).-Amazing prices.-Great staff.Cons: NoneOverall this makes for a great local hangout for all kinds of gamers and Esports fans of all ages.10/10 IGN :Kappa:Will come again ~ProjectDerpy (Esportspedia COD Database Manager)
Love this place, awesome computers, live the gsync 144hz monitors, and they have awesome gaming keyboards, mice, and headset, but if you like to bring your own peripherals and use them, I brought my own G502 and it worked fine just keep in mind you cant change the peripherals settings because there is no software on the PCs. The bagels here are AMAZING!! and the lemonade is good as well. Also in my opinion the desks are Abit too high, and the chairs cant go high enough (Im not a short person)
If you like gaming, coffee, or being alive in general then waypoint cafe is the place for you. Whether youre a die-hard coffee afficiando or a casual Overwatch player the cafe has something to offer you. Friday and Saturday nights the cafe stays open until 2am which allows you even more time to get smoked by me in Dragon Ball Fighterz so dont be afraid to stop on by.

2022-07-04Arguably one of the best internet cafes I’ve been to. It was clean and had lots of seats. I was actually able to sit next to all my friends instead of us having to split up.The person in charge of the headphones felt like he did not want to be there but it is what it is.They charge $5 per hour but gives 5 hrs for $20. The price is about average with most other places. There’s no hidden sign up fees so that’s a plus.Overall it’s a very good experience and hours carry over so you can keep visiting. They also have a cafe where they serve good food and drinks.

2022-07-20Been coming here for years and the staff are wonderful. Breakfast pasteries and tea are very good and events are really fun. Sometimes the keyboards and mice may be oily or sticky in the middle of the day.

2022-07-20The front desk people were amazing. Initially the customer service was amazing. The 2nd kiosk however had this super rude asian employee. (didnt get his name) Dont bother asking questions or if you have issues, he always gives attitude. Had my monitor turn black randomly and he blames it on me pulling a cord or kicking the outlet (when there was no outlet that i could kick)

2022-07-31Girlfriend and I went here on a whim for an hour and it was a great time. Staff is very nice and its the best internet cafe for the price. No pressure to purchase bulk hours.

2022-07-18Pc cant even run apex or fortnite at more than 100 fps even if the graphics r at the lowest. Bad quality headphones and u gotta give a id to trade for the headphones 💀💀 keyboard is bigger than the space they give you to use ur mouse

2019-06-22I went to the NYXL watch party organized by the 5 Deadly Venoms guys, so my review isnt really about the place as an internet cafe (since I didnt sit down on any of their computers to play games or anything like that), but as a spot for an e-sports watch party. And it was absolutely fantastic for that, Waypoint was totally on board with the watch party and had no problems with us NYXL fans making a LOT of noise rooting for the team while playing the game. The prices are quite low for Manhattan, and the strawberry lemonade and chocolate muffin I had were very good. My only negative is that it seemed like food was being fried right behind the counter, and the smell was quite strong and noticeable for a few minutes. Mind you, it smelled delicious and actually made me hungrier, but if you dislike the aroma of fried food it would have been bothersome. And it was just the smell, there was no grease in the air or the floor (which was spotless, as was the rest of the cafe).

2019-08-18Chill place to hang out at and get to know fellow gamers quickly no matter if you are a PC or Console person, into card games or board games. Service is great, staff is welcoming and helping. They have a nice studio as well if you want to stream | cast games.

2021-11-29Cozy & modern e-cafe with very friendly staff and reasonable prices. A great place to grab a bite and game.
