Wegmans in other cities:
This is the Wegmans that corporate seems to have forgotten. Plenty of bare shelves. Forget about a decent selection of organic products. Often times I will have a recipe in mind and they never have one of the crucial items in stock. How do you run out of Philly Cream Cheese... The staff is always friendly. The store just does not carry the quality of food that agrees with the Wegmans mission statement.
Its Wegmans. What more needs to be said? The Auburn one is on the smaller side, so there is less variety and options than what you see at the larger ones. The produce, especially the fresh berries can be a little iffy. I have bought raspberries, strawberries, and blueberries and found moldy ones when I got home, or they mold over night. This has happened more than once unfortunately. But on the bright side they are very good at customer service when that happens. I probably visit the prepared foods section, especially the sushi, more than one should. But they just make it so easy!! The prepared foods section in the larger stores is basically restaurant style food that just needs to be reheated. If youre a fan of cheese, the cheese shop is a must visit. And really if you have the time, its worth wandering around.
For the best quality experience and goods, Wegmans is the place to be. Civilized people in wegmans because of the shopping experience. People are happy in the store. Sometimes theres free samples of products to try to encourage shopping. So, if you look for quality food, This is the store.
Yeah, alot of the staff seem to only talk to blue eyed and blind hair people and give the ones who arent dirty looks. Like Lisa, who I came in contact with this morning. Shes not the only one either. Wouldnt be surprised if this is the type of place that runs that way....
Whats not to love about Wegmans??!!! They serve the community and offer excellent bonuses for employees and have the very best variety of local and foreign foods. Its like an international buffet for chefs, even if you cant cook, their pre-prepared, pre-marinated/seasoned foods are always delicious!
A facility of this manner is extremely important to the humans of this planet. This building contains much sustenance for these humans and distributes only the highest quality of products. Many beings from my planet have visited this location, and others like it, to much avail and our family unit shall be enjoying these food distributing markets willfully and gleefully for many Earth years to come!
I love this grocery store! Its like going to Disney when I shop here. There seems to be so many choices from local to exotic products. My favorite is the sushi they make fresh daily. But most people I know love the submarine sandwiches, too. Going to the check out isle is never a wait and the cashiers are super friendly. It really is a pleasure to shop at this grocery store.
It would be nice to have the employees tell the customers to where their masks properly, but then some of the employees dont wear them properly either. Yesterday, 24 April, 2021, I saw 7 noses, including one employee. One customer wore his mask as a chin warmer, and barely had his mouth covered, but the pharmacy employee didnt say anything.Considering this is one of the few grocery stores in Auburn, and the only one downtown, you would think they would follow Covid-19 guidelines better.
Friendly service & a fine selection for the area and size. The flowers are fine, often coming with a packet of plant food if one buys a corsage, as are the baked goods. The service is friendly and the cafe area is fine place to eat quick meal purchased locally. The freshness and quality of the food here is something which I take for granted. The bathrooms are clean and smell decently. Auxiliary services such as money orders and bottle returns work are efficient.
The store, its ok. I dont get why there are two different floor types. Half of the store is a tile thats really hard to cart on but the other half of the store is a normal flat tile. I dont get it. Other than that, the store brand food, such as in the deli, is just lower quality than I expect.
Plain awful....no selection. Too many store brands. I am just waiting for them to stop carrying beer and only sell there brand. Some items definitely dont need a store brand. Used to be a better place, especially Auburn location. Store is outdated compared to the castles they build elsewhere. All CNY stores in area need a face-lift, they look depressing.
Store shopping is awesome ordering for pickup or delivery really stunk took three times for them to get the right order after they delivered one to me already because of the company they sister with to do their online grocery system so once they incorporate it into their own software I think it would work good like Walmarts.
Less and less of what youay be looking for. Also, every time you visit, theres a high likelihood that the brand you desire had been replaced by their store brand. Meats are ridiculously priced in the ludicrous side. Skip the Auburn store. With a drive to DeWitt or Ithaca. Rather shop nearly anywhere else these days.
Wegmans is such a fantastic and family oriented place to shop. They have the freshest meats and produce and the largest selection of healthy organic foods. Sometimes I wish the parking lot was bigger but other than that, this is one of the best places to shop for groceries and one I prefer over others. You can feel the vibes and positivity right when you wall in the door. Not to mention they actively support the community and the employees in any ways. Everyone i know shops here and i love it!
The Wegmans in Auburn is my favorite place to shop. It is well organized, efficiently and courteously staffed, and clean. High volume items like eggs, breads, and milk are right up front and easy to get to. Nonperishable and cleaning items are all in one place as are fruits and veggies. Baked goods are freshly baked in the store, and all price are good. The nice thing about a large-ish store in a small town is that it is easy to find what you need, pay, get out fast. During COVID, no needs to be confronted with a poorly organized store and long lines. Wegmans in Auburn is managed and operated the way all stores should be. Wegmans in Auburn rocks
In my opinion, there is a positive correlation between the size and quality of a Wegmans store. The smaller it is, the worse the quality. I dont even mind that they dont carry everything that other stores offer, or how you have to constantly scour their cramped parking lot for a spot. But, I find the fact that they dont even have a single table for customers unacceptable, because even the dumpy ones in Syracuse would put out a few tables and chairs for customers.
I spend so much time at Wegmans that I should probably just keep a cot there for when I need a nap. Wegmans is a near daily visit. The employees are great, the selection and prices are good, and even on the craziest days, the visit is pretty pleasant. This Wegmans is a local gathering spot; theres a joke around town that if youre looking for anyone, just go to Wegmans and theyll turn up eventually. Its got a comfortable hometown feel, and I cant visit without saying hello to at least a couple other customers. The subs are amazing, too!
Wegmans is a great place to get great quality food, totally recommend shopping here! A couple complaints I have is that the place feels cramped, when compared to places like walmart and bjs. Although that is more if a me thing, the second complaint is that some of the products are overpriced. Yesterday in fact, my girlfriend and I went to wegmans to buy some alfredo sauce, but they were out of stock, so we went to Walmart. At Walmart they were 60 cents cheaper for the same brand and amount. I personally havent compared every item, but if there is one item that is overpriced, then there is bound to be more. Otherwise, Wegmans is fairly cheap and has a great shopping environment, especially the produce section.
Wegmans is a gotta have place. It has a lot of items that nobody else carries. They do a lot of local products. Their store is always packed with customers. Lack of parking at the Auburn store can be difficult. The people are very nice and helpful. The place is very clean. The subs are to die for! But be sure to call in your order, otherwise the lines can be lengthy, especially at lunch time. The downside to Wegmans is I always spend too much money on things I just gotta have or gotta try. The flowers are beautiful and the bakery smells so yummy! Yup, gotta have some of those too. Having a party...no problem, more of the gotta haves are there to order or just pick up. Lottery, gifts, gift cards, bulk foods, seasonal items, pharmacy, amazing produce, fresh seafood and meats. Amazing ready made or ready to make foods. The only thing I dislike is the floor in the produce area, it is noisy. It rattles you to run a cart over the textured, brick like flooring. Otherwise, it is the perfect store that everyone has just gotta go to for everything they just gotta have!
I love wegmans in general but it seems all my negative experiences happen at the auburn one. The cashier today kept offering me paper bags even though I assured him I didnt want them. I was trying to help him pack my groceries and still left with raw meat packed with my fruit, my bags not filled, and things like that. Im pretty sure thats taught. I could be wrong.
I know everyone thinks Wegmans is great but I gotta give it 4 stars instead of 5 because the parking is atrocious. The parking lot is way too small for the volume of business the store gets. I have circled the parking lot and left on more than one occasion because there wasnt a parking space available. Parking issues aside, it is a great store and Wegmans subs are the Best!!
Better than walmart but not as good as the country market.Expiration dates are hit or miss.Insanely high prices on average.Customer service is generally a 10 out of 10.Food quality miles better than Walmart.Wide range of prepped and pre-cooked food.Wide range of gluten and specialty foods. small sit down area with a good variety of self serve food.
Clean and well maintained. Very helpful employees. Good, unique food items. Lots of choices. Warm environment. Prices are a bit high compared to Walmart. Better sales than Walmart. Parking lot is smaller than usual due to being in the city. Shelfs always stocked compared to Walmart. Everything is organized and neat compared to Walmart.
Love the natures marketplace section...although it would be nice to request products I use regularly instead of having to travel out to fairmount wegmans. Also...the produce is either fantastic or terrible. There have been times where its not ripe on the outside yet but rotting on the inside(specifically bell peppers and apples-as of lately all have been bruised and brown on the inside). Still a great store...if it was larger and had more parking it would be even better.
If you live here, you already know about the Wegmans experience. Visiting from out of town? You can eat already prepared meals hot or cold in the store or take it out. People rave about their subs. Truly a cost efficient substitute from eating out at restaurants every night of your visit. They carry a wonderful variety of items. The place is very clean and doesnt smell like other grocery stores. (I always can smell fish at Tops).
Smaller size wegmans, good, decent organic dry goods section, smaller in-house eating options, usually busy, though lines are never more than 2 cart lengths and move quickly. Friendly staff, good produce, good meat selection. Overall great selection of products. I do shop here regularly.
If you shop at Wegmans on a regular basis you are very, very fortunate. For seven years we have been away from WEGMANS territory. Now we are back to stay! What a great experience. NO grocery store or super market can compare to any Wegmans. They, Wegmans, are beyond compare!!!!!!!!
Wegmans is my favorite grocery store, especially the Geneva location. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Shelves are always fully stocked and the variety in items is vast. Plus the managers are always quick to help if I have WIC checks to cash, they are extremely organized about it.
Well for all of us locals and the waiting for our Sat or Sun breakfast at Wegmans in Dewitt....disappointing!Just not family friendly pricing or choices.Breakfast is probably delicious but just too darn expensive.I saw breakfasts at $9 to $11 before I get a coffee or something to drink. My wife and I would be over $25 and that is out of our pricing comfort zone. Add In two grand kids with kids breakfast and drinks and we are near$40. What was a fun Sunday stop is just not practical for us.Not entirely sure what Wegmans is thinking other than to serve a new customer who has a lot more to spend than this 30 year shopper.Maybe Wegmans will reconsider what they offer and the cost. Frankly, I saw a middle aged couple step into the waiting line, look at the menu and as they stepped out of the line saying....just not worth it.
Best grocery stores in the area but their premade meals are not that great. Chicken wings suck. Pizza is amazing. Produce is excellent.Ready to eat meals arent worth the money. Mac and cheese and lo mein are very bland. Grilled chicken is nothing special and a bit pricey.
Our family loves Wegmans but this one does have a very small produce center and fairly limited organic option in comparison to other locations. Still the staff is lovely.(Alps we have gotten several things over the last few months that were spoiled-all before the sell by date and refrigerated.
Wegman brand chicken as of lately has been discussing. The packaging lacks the drain pads so they have a bad scent right out of the package and they have a “gooey” texture because the chicken is bathing in its own raw juices. And every family sized pack of chicken has been thrown out because it’s literally crunchy when it’s cooked like you’re eating a lays chip. Not impressed with Wegman’s chicken game
Wegmans is my favorite store in Auburn, aside from BJs Wholesale. I purchase fresh produce and never been disappointed. Its worth looking around because some products are on sale and you can get your moneys worth. Also, apply for your Wegmans card to save more on your shopping.
Not a fan. Parking lot is dangerous. Food prices are high and it’s too crowded. People always taking up space chatting. It’s difficult to maneuver through the aisles. I shop Witmers Country Market and Aldi’s. Quick in and out and my shopping is done and much cheaper prices.
Oh my God, I am certain the best bakery in Auburn is Wegmans. I will fight you over it, best frosting, best cakes hands down every time! The bagels are to die for, the produce is always immaculate, if it wasnt for the damn brick floor and the sound the carts make on it Id shop here more than I need to 😅
This is a decent store. Its very small and always crowded. They do tend to run out of items quite fequently. The Natures Market Places is alright, when they have items instock. The placement of items in the aisles is sometimes confusing but that must have to do with squeezing so much into a tiny store.
I love just about everything about Wegmans but my friends and I stopped in early one morning the grab something quick for breakfast but after waiting for a very long time as they prepared one microwave egg & cheese muffin at a time and less than pleasant employees we were disappointed that this type of breakfast was the best a store we hold in such high regard could offer.
Well, this is where my mom shops all the time ! Great produce section, always fresh and nothing bad... Great seafood and meats... Mom says chicken is always at a good price here. we buy boneless skinless alot. Bakery is to die for !!! They have organic things and a great herbs and supplements area as well. Dont forget the candy area! by the pound and the kids and get the things they love ! Or you can get what you Love haha !!! Parking is a bit busy weeknights but not to bad.
Id like to produce in this store but very disappointed that theyre putting their names on all the products I like to have a choice and different things like to catch up there theirs is awful give me Heinz any day canned vegetables theyre all going with their name on them now just dont like that I think in this world if you want to make a community and people happy you should have choice do I shop a lot of tops now period and for small things I go to Maxwells their names not on their products
Love Wegmans food variety. My only two complaints would be the parkinglot at this location is tight and often congested and secondly the lack of customer service at the customer service register toward the front of the store. They are usually very unwelcoming and seem annoyed when approached by customers.
The Cashier deliberately over charged me.I purchased One Rib Eye Steak on reduction down to $13.24, Cashier put (2) @ $13.24, so I paid $26.48 for the One Steak. When I got home, Reconciling my checkbook thats when i saw the mistake on my receipt.I called customer service and spoke to Erin.I have to come back in with my receipt, but still not sure if Ill be credited.Bc I made the purchase on my bank card they should have been able to just credit my card.So I have to drive an hour to try to get my Money back!I used to Love Wegmans, will definitely be checking my Receipt before I leave the Store From Now On.I Spent Over $80.00 that day, I know its not alot neither is the $13.00 I was overcharged. Its the point that their Cashiers Can do whatever they want without punishment, ie..like taking it out of their paycheck, especially when it was deliberate, Cashier had to key in quantity.I Will tell two people, who will tell two people infinity.
Friends of ours tried to order 4 subs more than 12 hours in advance at both the Liverpool and Fairmount Wegmans and were told they couldnt have them by the time they wanted them. We called our Wegmans in Auburn and ordered the same 4 subs and NO PROBLEM! We could have them when we wanted them! And we didnt call with as many hours in advance! We love our Auburn Wegmans!
A great, smaller but very clean Wegmans. Deals in the newpaper every week, all sections always well stocked shelves . They also have coupon offers you can load to your smartphone. Checkout is usually very quick and accurate. Staff is always friendly and courteous. Aisles are well lighted and iyems easily accissible. All in all a great chain of stores and this is no exception.
Wegmans is an amazing supermarket chain. Produce is exceptionally high quality with many organic options. Many stores have hot coffee and a simple restaurant. The deli has many choices including specialty cheese. Meat dept has many choices. Has an extensive bakery. Then theres a Natures Pantry section that includes vegetarian, organic and gluten free options. After that is a kitchen section with cookware, plates, decorations, etc.Next comes the standard canned goods followed by a snack section. Then beverages, including some specialty beers. Near there paper towels, paper plates, etc. Food storage in that section as well.Theres frozen food, coffee, juice and assorted candy. Nearby is the flower dept with many gift choices. After that health and beauty. Many stores also have a pharmacy.Wegmans store brand products are equal or better than the best name brand products. They dont go for cheapo, but prices are competitive. Many stores are VERY busy during the daytime on weekends. If you are bothered by busy, I suggest going a different time. Some of my co-workers will drive 50 minutes to get to Wegmans on weekends. It is that good, especially the produce.
The parking lot is always a mess and full of cigarettes, trash do your self a favor call spezio street sweeping. This company does my business and is amazing wegmans should take more pride in appearance. It’s gross to see all the littering almost as bad as the auburn Walmart
A good choice for a veggan diet, or anyone health conscience, we stopped in several times while on a trip, we found it very clean, well stocked, and there is a big selection of healthy foods and products. They have Wal-Mart beat in those areas, but prices are quite a bit higher too 😏 Wegmans is like the northern version of Kroger.
Much better than Tops but thats not saying much. It is clear that Wegmans values its Taft, Rt 57 and Camillus locations much more. The meat here isnt bad but if Im looking for rotten strawberries this is where I can find them. The produce at this location is frequently not great.
If I could give this Wegmans a 0 star rating, believe me I would. I visited the store on Sunday June 4th and my experience could not have been more miserable. I visited the store with 2 of my friends as we were all on a camping trip in the finger lakes and needed supplies. When it came time to check out, my friend who is 21 attempted to purchase a 6 pack of beer. He provided his ID to the cashier before she even asked.. One of the managers then came out and asked for the IDs of everyone in our group, even though we werent the one purchasing the beer.. I wanted to be as understanding as possible as I know they have a state liquor license to maintain (my father worked for the State Liquor Authority for over 10 years) I am 22 and provided my ID as well as another friend who is 21 (They had 3 overage NYS drivers license for a 6 pack of beer). They UNBELIEVABLY STILL ended up denying us the sale because 2 friends we werent even with, werent there to provide their IDs... What do they want 6 drivers licenses for a 6 pack of beer? The whole time the girls behind the counter were extremely rude and unprofessional and I will NEVER be back to this location ever again. So if I brought my 12 year old little sister in the store with me, would I still not be able to buy a beer via the same logic? Give me a break and get over yourselves.
Not a flagship store by any means, but still at its core a Wegmans - which means its a great place to shop for groceries, deli, etc. Parking - specifically, getting off of and back onto Loop Road - is always frustrating, and they need to figure out how to make it less so, at which point Ill add a star back. :)
I shop at Wegman not as often as I want to but the best part is when I asked him for something they dont have because Im Puerto Rican they do their best to get what I need and if they dont get it they will order it for me from someone else and ship it to my house thats how much I like Wegmans. And the people that work there or no period and their food products incredible thank you for keeping us healthy
Wegmans have the freshest vegetable and frozen meats than any place I no also the employees are friendly and care people their drug store always have my meds ready when I get their let alone I love how they text me to let me no my meds are ready and they let u no the costs as well and there people are very polite and will take time to answer what every ? I have been with wegmans at least 35 years thank u everyone working for wegmans as for thank u Danny wegman for ower store
Like Auburn Wegmans. Best grocery store in the city. As far as Wegmans stores go, it is not as huge as Fairmont or Dewitt stores. I also find many employees to be rude, some outwardly so, though there are lots of very nice employees as well. In Syracuse, Ive found from talking to other Wegmans employees they have heard Auburn store is very unlike most Wegmans and it does have a reputation for rude and gossipy employees. I have a friend who has become a target for employees. I cannot believe how awful they are to her having seen this with my own eyes.
In terms of grocery stores Wegmans is okay, unfortunately this store quality of produce and natural items is not that great. In context of what else is around I guess this is what youre really left without having to travel to Syracuse to some of the better Wegmans stores.
A wonderful shopping experience, from the entrance into produce to the most pleasant checkouts. This Wegmans location has a parking problem. Navigation in the lots are a bit trying, as the lots are contaminated be day parkers, not shopping but avoiding the parking meters.Wegmans would be wise to police their lots, and remove (tow) these day parkers.

2022-04-16Sky high prices on ready made food. Sub shop is insane. Great subs but 1 out of 5 of the staff members at all times are filling online orders or are busy doing anything but servicing the present customers. I waited 30 whole minutes for service last night. This with only FOUR customers ahead of me. There were also atleast 5 others behind me who had been waiting just as long. All while the staff moved incredibly slow and filled online sub orders with complete disregard for the present customers. This is a serious problem that needs immediate fixing. If there are 5 staff members there had better be atleast 3 servicing present customers who should always come before online orders. Very disappointed. I was also treated rudely when I ordered with no apology whatsoever for the incredibly pathetic wait time.

2022-06-20Love the baked goods and produce sections always a good selection to choose from. Birthday cakes are always done really well and on time. Usually really packed especially on the weekends.

2022-07-04Sped there to pick up a few things early Saturday afternoon for a graduation party. The parking was difficult and congested. The pre ordered sushi tray and salads were available on time at the pick up. I started through the store to pick up some last minute things and it was too crowded so I left and went to another store. Too many people for the aisles to handle. Not a great spot to grab a few things.

2022-06-25Normally I give any Wegmans 5 stars. This one gets 4 stars because what Wegmans doesnt have a sit down Cafe? This one! It use to. Not sure why they got rid of it.

2022-05-17My friend loaded a market cart for me so I didnt take it to my car like I sometime do. I know its generally not acceptable so I try not to. I know its frowned on this is why this happened. I ALWAYS bring it back or one of the nice guys that do the carts say theyll return it for me. After my friend reloaded my other cart for me he went out. Dont know this womans name and dont care to know it. I couldnt pull the cart behind me because of neck, spinal and COPD and I didnt want to run into anyone. I politely asked if I could pull it over against the wall and this rather large woman in front said No, YOU have to take that back. She made me wait embarrassed in front while she got in touch with someone. I called my friend who was already in the parking lot to return to help me and he did. Only then was I able to continue on my journey. I dont believe you need a person who is callas and unsympathetic to be on your great team. Otherwise, great store. I am horrible on these phones. This post took 1 hour and a half. Since this incident Ive had nothing but good memorable experiences at my local Wegmanns. Thank you to the young folks for helping me.

2022-01-09I miss this store so much! The selection of products puts Walmart and Kroger combined to shame! The sub sandwiches are to die for and the customer service is beyond accommodating.I now live in Missouri where we do not have a Wegmans and I am seriously upset about this. The prices are just a tad higher than a smaller store but you get what you pay for and what you get is quality everything!Looking at the pictures make me homesick. Its always clean or being cleaned.Im really feeling a road trip coming on in my future.

2021-12-29Normally I don’t have any complaints, tonight the cashier scanned my items and put them on the counter behind her instead of my Wegmans bag I had opened and ready for her to use. When I asked her to bag them she did comply, but the most expensive item on my order did not get bagged. She bagged while I was paying and I didn’t catch this until I got home.I called the store and spoke to customer service who went to the cashier to find the item. The cashier said it wasn’t left behind, I was told to bring my receipt to the store to get a replacement.I live a half mile away and don’t drive so I had to make a second round trip to get the item in winter weather to retrieve the item that should’ve been bagged by the cashier to begin with.

2022-03-15A unique Wegmans location in the heart of Downtown Auburn. Parking is much tighter than other locations. Curbside pickup service was outstanding with polite and courteous people.

2022-01-08This store chain is going to hell quick. Shelves are thinning out and prices are considerably more than competitors. Everything you buy now is Wegmans brand. The donuts that were once great are now garbage, produce is horrendous, deli meats that are Wegmans brand lack quality. I used to say I would never live where there wasn’t a Wegmans. No longer the case. Corporate greed has ruined this chain. Our local store is just an afterthought for the Wegman family. The Rochester stores are always loaded with products and have plenty of options for prepared foods. I can only imagine the NYC stores. The Auburn, NY store which was fantastic for a long time is no longer. They keep expanding and branching out when the can’t maintain their current customer base.
