I really do not like the Ithaca Wegmans. Parking is horrible and the store is overcrowded. There is a general sense of pomp, until you get to the actual groceries. Not a place to be able to quickly grab anything.
Super huge selection of hot/cold meals, keto friendly products and Asian products from Japan, korea and even Vietnamese. Another plus is that it operates til midnight.
Wegmans is Wegmans. The undisputed king of grocery stores, even in Ithaca, coops just cant compare to the selection and typical grocerys sell poison compared to the quality Wegmans foods offers.Chances are you didnt need this review, but Google asked for it.
An excellent place to shop for groceries, get prepared foods, grab a bite and sit in the cafe. Everything you could need is available weather fresh fish, meat, freshly prepared sushi, an awesome bakery, you name it they have it.one of the most excellent produce departments I have ever seen in a supermarket. Very accessible with plenty of parking!
When I need a specialty food item(s) I go to Wegmans. They are a huge store that sells conventional and organic food. It has almost everything you can imagine. Be prepared to spend a long time in the store, its size is bigger than the other grocery stores in the city. They will provide you with a legend of the aisles if you need one.
Solid grocery with local dairy and a good selection of worldwide foodstuffs from produce to sauces. They still have a little train and the bulk candy is now employee packaged, and though the store organization is a little different (fruits and veggies are sectioned differently), the prices are high reasonable and they had plenty of meat, chicken, and other food.
Amazing selection and cleanliness in the store. Lots of regular options as well as fresh and organic options for all produce and meats. The staff is also super helpful and will go out of your way to see if you need help. Also love the prepared foods and beer selections. One stop shop for all your needs.
The store is currently well stocked, with lots of organic fresh produce, toilet paper, meats and other items previously affected by pandemic buying.As with most grocery stores, choose off hours shopping if you really want to maintain social distancing. Also keep in mind that the large population of college students are frequently oblivious to their surroundings and your personal space so please be forgiving!

Great selection of items in every department. The Asian section has Angelo Pietro Salad Dressings as well as a nice variety of sauces. The choice of cheeses is amazing. Plenty of parking and easy to find. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
It’s not a store, it’s an experience! Absolutely the best place to shop. Excellent selection of natural and organic plus conventional products, a huge hot food section that rivals many restaurants. Good prices, particularly the wegmans brand which also includes many organic products for great savings. Love weggies for life!

We need a Wegmans near Pittsburgh, PA! Please! We made it a point to stop here for Sushi while staying at Watkins Glen State Park!
I absolutely love this Wegmans. It is my favorite of all the Wegman stores I have ever been in. The selection of conventional and organic produce is abundant. They have a large nature section with healthy selections throughout the store as well. They also have a lot of Wegman brand organic products.

Beautiful store with amazing desserts, fresh produce and meats. Its just so much more expensive than other grocery stores. I wish I could go here more often but I shop at Aldi too because its soooo much cheaper for much of the same. I go to Wegmans when I need something I cant get anywhere else.
Best supermarket in the country!! Always clean, new items appear all the time, restaurant inside stores, dry-cleaning, buy tickets to events. Fresh fresh produce & meats. Many Kosher items also Indian, Spanish, Mediterranean & more! Just opened a store in Brooklyn at the old Navy Pier decent pricing but not cheap. You pay for quality but not like Whole Foods pricing

Oh Wegmans of Ithaca how I love thee. This store is more than double the size of a big supermarket by me. It has literally any food item you can think of. Sushi to gluten free everything. Many high quality Wegmans brand products. Many items from known brands that are not local to me.(turkey Hill natural almond chocolate ice cream for instance). Prices are a little elevated for some items(seltzer strangely expensive) but with this selection I cant complain. More beer selection than my local beer store.
This is not a good wegmans. I had to go home to get my wallet because I forgot it. And the manager told me she had to put my French fries back in the freezer so they wouldnt spoil. And then when I went back in the freezer to get them they were all out and after I paid for them.

Super high quality items and also very diverse products! The prices are somewhat expensive, but its worth the products. Because Im a college student on a budget, I dont go to Wegmans often unless Im looking for something I cant find at Walmart.

Are you tired of horrible produce that doesn’t taste like anything but water Wegmans Will fix that for you for you! They also have the best sushi and Wegmans to go app so you can get everything you want hot and ready to go!
I love Wegmans!! Im a big grocery store fan and Wegmans definitely ranks high. When I lived in Chicago I definitely found myself missing it. They always have the best selection of vegan snacks. It can be pretty pricey but I dont mind when I can splurge. I always bring out of town friends and family to visit and they can never believe how awesome it is.
Great store for specialty items and ready to eat meals, subs, salads baked goods and a great selection of cheese. They are a little expensive but I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for and wegmans fits into that mindset in my opinion. May pay a bit more but the quality is worth the price.
Best place to hang out and study if you dont like the libraries at Cornell. Fresh produce, always open and friendly customer service. They even did my dry cleaning!My favorite is the pizza shop or fresh subs - even the sushi isnt too bad (depending on where you are from). They have ethnic foods and an endless candy isle!

Oh my goodness! I am forever changed. My first time in a Wegmans. And I have changed the way I show. The options are to die for! And you can order to pick up groceries thanks to instacart. Im totally down to do that. Some of the prices are cheaper in the deli than the prepackaged meat, and they have fresh salmon. I will most definitely be back.

Personally I love wegmans for a lot of things. Certain things I will only buy at Wegmans. They have a wide selection on fresh produce, and they try to have a large selection of local produce. They have a HUGE selection of cheeses. A HUGE selection of baked goods made fresh right there. Anytime I buy baked goods I get them from Wegmans. Birthday cakes with whipped cream frosting is amazing, same goes for there snickerdoodle cookies, and cheese cakes. Among other things that look so good eventually when I have the money I want to try. They also have a great selection of fresh sushi. Plus if you dont feel like cooking you can get your whole dinner at Wegmans and just warm it up when you get home. Or they make subs fresh on your choice bread or other hot or cold meals. They sell household items like paper towels, toilet paper, batteries etc in bulk. Theres sooo much over all wegmans is a FANTASTIC store. Oh did I mention they also have a pharmacy, and an ethnic food section. I shop at multiple stores when I go grocery shopping but Wegmans is always at the top of my list of places to stop.

A couple of aisles of gluten-free food items. All manner of specialty items. We were visiting from Indianapolis, and my husband wants to move here just be near this store!

I have a love hate relationship with Wegmans. Ive only been here a few times but I like to browse and its usually so busy thats not possible. I find most items are higher priced than other stores in the area but if you need something specific and different they will probably have it.
This Wegmans was a truly wonderful place. It was exceptionally clean & organized first of all. The atmosphere was also crisp and you could tell it was a place of joy and everyone was just doing their thing and being jovial. I went in there unbelievably like 4 times today while on a day trip from Rochester to see the quaint town of Ithaca, first to grab snacks, second to grab drive back snacks, and two additional times because I lost my phone. Truthfully, that is what inspired me to write this lengthy review! I left my phone in a cart as my brain was scattered after having such a busy day & being in the sun too long! I was in such a frenzy, being 2ish hours from home with no phone! Luckily, the Wegmans staff was super helpful and sweet and thank goodness they ended up finding my phone & I was on my way! Thank you Ithaca Wegmans staff, yall for real earned my respect and are very integrious and caring people! :)

My first experience at a Wegmans was here, I was amazed at the amount of fresh food that was made in house. Picked up some chocolate croissants to have for breakfast the next day and they were delicious. The selection is great and the amount of options for fresh and healthy food is unmatched.
We can just like the greatest place on Earth honestly if youre not shopping at Wegmans youre not treating your body with the highest respect you deserve. not only is most of your food come with fresh organic options The staff there are wonderful and the places just so clinging and beautiful. everything tastes like it was fresh picked from a farm and even the air smells better at Wegmans.

I like Wegmans for the produce section. Their fruits and vegetables are always fresh and nicely chosen. They are crisp and almost always taste great. Plus my mommy works there as a cashier, she is the best.
Wegmans is in my opinion the best grocery store ever, hands down. They have anything and everything that someone could want when it comes to food, from exotic produce to a natural food market, fresh bakery and deli, subshop, walk in beer cooler, seafood and meat butchers on staff, a fresh pizza shop, and everything else you can think of that a grocery store could or should have. There is nothing bad I can say about Wegmans, theyre the ideal store. Keep up the good work, Wegmans! Great job.

Wegmans is such a neat, hip store! I can see why people call it the heart of Ithaca. Besides Ithaca itself, the commons, and the beautiful Cayuga lake, this really is one of the best attractions. My family and I were spending a few nights here (were from the lower Hudson Valley near NYC) while my dad was having meetings at Cornell. My mom and siblings and I went and we were all dazzled by this amazing store! It is a really cool place. Now, reading reviews, Ive seen a few complaints that Wegmans is not easily accessible to those in wheel chairs, which, although I myself am not in one, think strongly they should improve. I also saw some reviews about the prices being high; please, Wegmans, youre awesome and I wish you were closer to my area, but please dont over change because everyone should get a fair chance at your great food. I suggest holding a sort of soup kitchen in the front so that the homeless and penniless population can enjoy your great buffet cooking. Looking forward to coming back soon!
WOW, they have EVERYTHING ..They have sections for EVERY kind of food you can think of...This store has it ALL...and I heard its a GREAT place to work...they Really care about there employees and patrons. First time I went in, it took me 3 hours to get out...
Ive been to many Wegmans stores and I think Ithaca Wegmans is the best of all. Produce is always fresh and food is great. Their cafe is amazing. I will eat tofu from there only because they simply make the best. Their Moms macaroni and cheese is as if your mom made it with love. Sushi is wonderful. Although, Ithaca should build another Wegmans because its always so busy, especially on weekends.
Wegman’s is the best grocery store EVER. Huge selection of quality produce, meats, and cheeses. Many meals to go that you can easily heat up at home including salmon teriyaki and kung pow chicken. They also have a large to go cafe with pizza, sandwiches, and more. I am not from the area bit I wish my town (Albany, NY area) had a Wegman’s!
Great - obviously because it’s a Wegmans! Extremely crowded on weekends; only go on a Saturday or Sunday if you want to test your patience.
Wegmans is, by far, the best grocer out there... any time I’ve had to move away, I’ve always missed it. The employees are very knowledgeable in their departments. Wonderful selection of meats and cheeses— and the the international food aisles are surprisingly well-stocked! Best one in the Southern Tier/Finger Lakes area.

Wonderful store. Beautiful selections. Our cashier did a poor job bagging...raw chicken on top of fresh produce. She insisted on carrying 6 lemons at once and dropped them on the floor numerous times before getting them into the bag. She could not have cared less about the care of our groceries.

Best produce around unless you go to farmers market or eddydales farm stand. My only complaint would be they never brought back French toast mini-muffins after covid.
Fast sign in for shot and getting it was fast too. The person who gave it to me was friendly and told me everything I needed to know. Shopping there is great too. Has food you cant find any where else.
Love this place. It is my favorite local grocery store. Their produce and meats are high quality, they have a very nice cheese department and they have a great healthier food section. Lots of choices of beer and craft beer. Their fish is a bit pricey for us, so we dont frequent that department. Employees are always nice and go out of their way to help.
This store has been steadily going downhill for the past few years. It used to have amazing selection of imported goods and excellent fruits and vegetables.Since about 2 years ago with the new manager the store has resembled more and more a food lion. On many occasions I purchased expensive fruits like coconuts that were completely spoiled on the inside days before their expiration date. The Italian and European food sections are a joke. I find better options at Tops and the deli counter cannot figure out how to slice and package expensive cured meats like prosciutto. It is so frustrating dealing with them that were now ordering them from NYC!

This wegmans is better than most, because of the diversity of both Cornell and Ithaca college there is a plethora of world foods, organic foods, and prepared foods that stand above the vast majority of other Wegmans that I have been to.
Selection is awesome. Store very well run. Clean , neat, and organized.
I fond that I really enjoy shopping at Wegmans, there are a few excellent employees Mary, Casey , and most of the pharmaceutical not all of them are pleasant. My big down gall is your deli department, I now go to Tops for my sliced cheeses meats ,because at times not only are the employees rude but they actually dont give you what you ask for, example I ask for 1/2 lbs thinly sliced Wegmans American white cheese, they very nicely show me a slice I say okay thank then they proceed to give me much thicker slices then requested, then I get home and there it is all except the one slice I was shown this is not my first complaint, but it my last, I dont have the problem with Tops, .Thank You,Barbara Robinson
Wegmans has everything. They have a great selection for vegans and gluten free diets. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The place is very big so its good for getting your steps in for the day. Their subs are famous and delicious. Would recommend anyone to Wegmans. Plus the treat their employees well, which just makes me feel even better about supporting then.
Incredibly large selection with everything you need from a grocery run to a supply run (though Id side with the grocery run more) Great fresh food at great prices! Lines are quick and everything feels local compared to big box grocery stores! Usually everything is bustling so make sure you know where youre going! Parking isnt great because of the stores popularity.

This place has everything! We went there for the wide assortment of fresh veggies. I especially like the many healthy instant meals that cook easily and are delicious. We are very lucky to have this quality store at our doorstep.
Large, reasonable prices for good quality (not as good as Costco, but still a bargain for the quality), wide variety of items from hygiene to grocery to deli. Can get pretty pricey when things start piling up in the shopping cart but in general its only after a pretty significant number of items accumulate
I love wegmans. They have anything and everything tour heart desires. The only problem is finding it in a timely manner when you dont shop here on a regular basis.
Called customer service to pick up an instacart card, they are usually available through the grocery store in store instacart. The woman was clearly confused about what I was talking about and instead of directing me to someone who knew about it, like any of the instacart workers, she told me it wasn’t possible and was very rude about it. It would probably be a good idea to not be in customer service if you don’t want to deal with people asking questions that you won’t always know the answer to, but can point in the right direction.
The only complaint I have is staff customer service at open some people come to shop early because of high risk family members. I purchased a product and noticed a small tear in the package asked to simply exchange it and the guy was rude and sarcastic told me to come back at 8 something so simple. I have no other complaints been shopping there for years and will continue just ask they look at staffing a single person until this pandemic is over at customer service
Im 65 and the check out clerk had to call her supervisor because I was buying alcohol with an out of state ID. Then she couldnt tell what my birth date was. I had to tell her that it was 1955. After all that she couldnt get any of my 3 credit cards to work. She had to call her supervisor back again. Not to mention that Wegmans is way over priced!!!
Seriously starting to dislike Wegmans. Other than the closeness to my home, Im more apt to drive to Tops or Aldi. Wegmans is notorious for replacing national brands with their own which I find annoying. Also, their prices continue to soar.
Wegmans Ithaca is probably the best Wegmans I have been to because of its fresh grocery selection, eatery and protein areas. Whether you are popping in for lunch or going on a family shopping errand Wegmans will not disappoint in selection. Lines will get long at the registers when students are in town so be aware of the University schedule. Wings of Life salads are their local specialty. I highly recommend trying one if youd like a quick lunch with local influence but dont have time to park downtown.
Ive been going here since i was a kid and its become a hometown favorite as well as when i have moved to other areas of NY. Great selection of food, home supplies fruits vegetables and a full service deli and butcher. Great affordable prices and always in stock items. They have their own brands and i enjoy their products just as good as name brand products. A variety of organic foods, beauty products and herbs.
Wegmans is definitely the best grocery store I have ever been to. They have a great selection, good prices, the store has good organization, and it is always very clean, including the bathrooms. Wegmans has lots of healthy/natural/organic food and dietary restriction-friendly food. They have one of the smaller snack food aisles Ive seen.

Good natures market and fresh organic produce. It is a very large grocery store with large selection from basic to prepared foods including hot bar. It is usually very busy.
Very nice, high-quality Wegmans location with lots of items you cant get at other grocers. This might even be a perfect 5 stars if they offered money orders, but they strangely dont. I also discovered they dont offer plastic bags, which is a major inconvenience. I dont trust paper bags at all. A little bit of moisture and your items are on the ground. Unless you have your own tote, its kind of hard to shop here. It makes the score more of a 3.5, quite honestly.

This is the best place to grocery shop in upstate NY. Friendly, clean, well-stocked, fast service, well-organized and they have everything you need. The food court area is fantastic and the lines are usually well-staffed, even during peak season!

I get almost all I need for my spanish dishes. Would recommend more green plantains, and long leave coriander or recao also known in places as culantro not cilantro. Then its perfect. Love their seafood
Its Wegmans, the best grocery store chain in America. If youre here, youre lucky, enjoy yourself and have a fabulous time shopping. Please bring your own reusable bag as they dont offer plastic bags and paper bags cost extra, but its worth it for the benefit of preserving our environment.
If you need to find a better quality food than Tops or Walmart, this store is it.During the self checkout procedure, Valentine always make me feel comfortable! You will find a lot of entitled and stuck up customers here but she makes up for it. She needs a raise!!Edited: 8/21/2020
Wegmans is an excellent grocery store. Almost everything you can imagine is there for purchase. The selection of products is overwhelming and the quality is top shelf. The best selection of fruits and vegetables is a feast for the eyes as well as the other departments. I cannot emphasize how good this store is.
As a full-time Instacart shopper, I very much look forward to shopping here. I know where everything is, and can navigate the store very simply ((with the exception of the crowd inside). There is a great explanation for the crowd. The produce is picturesque, like out of Better Homes and Gardens. The staff is friendly (I now know many by name and they know me by name! Thats very welcoming!), and most will go out of their way to help you. Tam, usually works in the cheese area goes above and beyond to help anyone. She is friendly, and offers great advice, and suggestions to which cheeses you may enjoy (yes, I like cheese). I feel horrible for not remember the name of the woman at the deli that let me try all the choices of prosciutto, and stated her favorite. After talking to her, she was able to find me MY favorite! As a full-time Instacart shopper, I have gotten to know many cashiers. They are friendly, offer conversation, and are very concious as to how you would like your items bagged. Matter of fact, I see them so often, that when I go in for my personal groceries, I dont even bother them, and use the self checkout. However, when I do see them, they make it a point to say hi! Helping hands are amazing as well! They are probably the most friendly group of individuals, even in a blizzard. They are happy to help you, and, from personal experience, the friendliest folks you will ever see pushing carts. Matter of fact, they have helped me make money because I never need to go back outside to find a cart (SORRY TOPS). Ive asked to tip them before, and they respectfully refuse. The service desk says its against police, but these folks really deserve it! Perhaps, this winter, Ill be allowed to at least get them a gift card to get a hot coffee. Wife was in the mood for some sushi and Wegmans is the next best place to get it fresh daily.
My husband came out gushing about how the beef is cheaper than Aldi and looks amazing. He believes this is the best grocery store there is. Definitely give it a whirl.
Everyone loves Wegmans: The selection is incredible whether youre looking for special diets, international food or high quality produce. The staff are very helpful, going out of their way to track down answers, check distributor changes, find products, resolve prescription challenges. The only downsides: a crowded parking lot, and its hard to get in and out quickly.

When I first moved to an area near Wegmans, I heard the hype and was like, please, its a grocery store. But I now see how wrong I was. Wegmans is sooo nice. Its literally the highlight of my week. I love the produce, I love the amazing selection, I love the cheeses. The prices are sometimes a little higher than other places, but not across the board and not if you buy family packs. The generic brand products are quality, the staff are friendly and helpful, the app and website are pretty great too. You can use them to virtually clip coupons onto your shoppers club card so they automatically ring up at checkout and you can see all your receipts and track your purchases. Basically Wegmans is the best ever. 6 out of 5 stars.
Lunch buffet gets a little neglected when the students leave, but its (almost) always great food. Some items can be pricey, but its often because Wegmans is the only place in Ithaca to find certain things. Good beer selection, great sushi, and quick checkout.

I prefer wegmans later in the day only because it is one of the most popular places in town and is always packed during the day. Its for sure the place to go for anything food related you may be looking for.
This Wegmans became my go to place for packing daily picnics while visiting nearby state parks. Ive been to other Wegmans but the customer service and selections at this location were both truly outstanding.This store offers everything from freshly prepared foods to dine-in options. They have a great bakery and cafe, as well as an international cheese section and fresh butcher service. Worth the visit.
I would choose Wegmans any day I can because I feel like theyre focused on their customer needs. They are experts at making your shopping experience better. Any time I ask for directions, whom ever I ask stops what theyre doing to make sure I can find what Im looking for. With a lovely experience every time, I dont shop anywhere else!

Definitely one of the best grocery stores Ive been to. The staff care, the food quality is good, and the multiple departments that produce their own food are high quality. The only downsides is that the store feels very cramped (lots of pinch points) and it is so popular you need to shop at off hours unless you like playing rugby with shopping carts.
Wegmans is heaven on earth. I can go to Wegmans and find anything I’m looking for. From name brands, to local organic items, they have it all. It’s always very clean, organized, and well stocked. The staff there are always willing to help you find anything you’re looking for and will walk you directly to the item. During the day there are often free samples of fresh pressed juice, food that they are promoting, and, for those of us 21+, different beers to sample.
My favorite store in the area . Organized and clean and easy to find what I need. Fresh food and yummy bakery. I always buy sushi there and poke bowl salad .
Excellent experience! Almost too many choices, something for everyone, regular, vegan, organic, ethnic food from every country, hot food bars, coffee bar, pizzaria, sushi, ready to eat, sub shop, order online and drive through, theyve missed nothing! Excellent customer service, all friendly, knowledgeable about the foods in their department, clean store, no wonder they are voted the best place to work. Definitely go out of your way to visit Ithaca and Dewitt NY stores, I can attest for both!
Traditional trip brings me to wegmans every year, and every year, no matter time of day, its busy. But never too busy that I cant get in and out in a reasonable time. Great prepared food, great produce, great selections. Wegmans baby!

We asked a cashier where Hint flavored water was and she sent us to aisle 17 or 18. Asked someone else after we couldnt find it and they used a phone to locate it in natures way section which is about aisle 7. Frustrating and then the price had increased.
Wegmans is a really nice store with a great selection of fresh veggies, meats, fish, baked and organic goods. Only downside is how busy it gets, be prepared to either politely wait for people to pass or elbow a grandma or two to get that last pack of flank steak.

This particular Wegmans has a great international area due to the Ithaca population, which is made of many foreign students. The deli has always usually, for each type of meat or cheese, the Wegmans brand and two more options. They bring plenty of options from local farms as well as international names. The organic section as well is very big, with constant sales on the product. Compared to other supermarkets in the area, it is on the expensive side. They havve a great selection of beers. I believe the best in the area. I like the store is very big but, as spacious as it is, in the weekends it gets crazy. Not only the locals, students but the people of the near by towns like Newfield, Lansing.
I love Wegmans. I go there several times a week. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is because the quality of their prepared foods section has gone down. There is more variety now but it’s mostly either cold, prepackaged stuff or buffet bar stuff that’s not that good. I miss the days of the made to order pasta and burritos! But really Wegmans is the best.
I love Wegmans. The staff is friendly and always ready to help. Their store brand products are a step above. And my favorite thing is that it is so clean it always smells good in the store.
This Wegmans is always my first stop when I need something! Everything is always fresh and delicious. And as someone who has a lot of dietary restrictions, it is the place to go. Their selection of vegetarian and vegan options is the best I’ve ever seen! I will always recommend Wegmans!

Probably the most comprehensive supermarket in Ithaca. Just be prepared to pay a little extra for certain items. Not the best place to find Asian stuffs though. Also, the cashier lines can be long as times. So, if youre in a hurry, go for the self-service counters!
Wegmans has a great variety of food, both prepared and the raw materials to create your own dishes. The main problem is that they keep moving things around. Once you get used to where something is stocked, they move it. Also their aisles arent as clearly marked as they should be, making finding things, even if you ostensibly know what the aisle should be difficult too. Pretty good overall, hence the four out of five stars.
Phase 3, still sanitizing carts, no longer dedicated enter/exit pattern, some items still hit and miss, i.e. frozen blueberries. Parking lot full, but easy flow in store Sunday 12 noon ish. Pleasant checkout--2 min wait. Dependable Wegmans quality.
Probably the best grocery store in the world, Wegmans has a huge selection of fresh produce, great meal starters, everything you would expect in a grocery store and more. Wegmans is large, clean, and well-maintained. Prices for groceries are always reasonable, although the prepared food hot bars are a little pricey. The reserved parking for pregnant women/people with small children, and the free in-store childcare center are huge pluses for parents, and the in-store pharmacy is excellent. Bathrooms are clean and pleasant. Checkout lines are rarely too long, and the multiple self-checkout aisles make grabbing just a few things quick and easy, even on the weekend. I love this store.
Wegmans the best supermarket in Ithaca. It’s a big place to shop and dine in at the market cafe. A variety international foods to choose from. Love the organic and fresh of everything. It takes me forever to come out of the supermarket. It’s definitely a one stop shop for all your needs.

Great selections and nice lighting. Prices are neither the lowest or highest for Ithaca grocery stores, but the food options are extensive. They have many prepared foods as well as a very large produce section. If you are looking for a specialty food item, it is likely to be in this store. There is also a vegan area for foods which meet most or all dietary restrictions.
Wegmans is the best grocery store in town. Everything you ever wanted in terms of food can be obtained within the store so long as it is in stock.
Just came back from shopping and realized cashier named Leanna dropped pack of strawberries and on top put 10-pack cans of water. The result - smashed strawberries, ruined majority of the pack!Shame on you for hiring brainless staff. Cashiers- you have one job to do
Wegmans in general is in a class above any other grocery store Ive been to in terms of excellent selection including a health food section, their presentation, prepared foods and service. Some people actually visit their stores like a tourist attraction when in the area. While there may be modest decline as theyve become multi- state still excellent.
I tried signing up for a drive up account online, but someone is using my phone number. Wegmans is refusing to close the account on the person using my phone number. Ive had my phone number for almost 17 years. Supervisor sherry was absolutely rude.Corporate called today and absolutely lied to me and they dont want to help customers. If you call corporation. I would recommend recording the call, because they dont. Even though when you call, it says they do. I recorded my call, because my phone records all calls.Wegmans is the worst at customer service. They need to record their calls. So, they know how rude, their employees are. I hardly ever shopped at wegmans, but now. I will never go there again. I ended up ordering off Amazon and i got the stuff i needed cheaper there.
Easy to walk to from Commons... They have everything.. And aisles for ethnic foods as well..a bit on expensive side . But you pay for good quality produce and variety.. Bring your own bag as they dont use plastics anymore.. As other stores should start to do as well

Wegmans is by far the best grocery store in Ithaca. They have a great selection of literally every food you could think of. Sure, there are cheaper grocery stores in town, but shopping at Wegmans is definitely worth the cost.
The staff is so friendly and seem happy, which is no surprise because Wegmans is rated a top employer in the US. My only gripe is that organic tomatoes, organic/no added hormone or antibiotics bacon are very expensive which merits a trip to Aldi. Otherwise, I can find everything I need at Wegmans. It gets very busy and despite opening 50-75% of cashiers, lines can still be long and the store can get congested. Its clean and well stocked with fresh produce, meats, baked good, prepared foods and coffee shop. The hot/cold buffet is great for breakfast, lunch and dinner if you need to get something quick to go.
Love their stuff, hate how it is perpetually crowded, I feel like whenever I go there are so many people, even if I get the chance to go in the middle of a weekday! I find great things I dont find elsewhere which is nice but crowds are not my thing.

Wegmans is my favorite grocery store, period. Ive been to several but this one is definitely the best Wegmans Ive been to. Ive never had a bad experience with any of their store-made fresh foods -- I love their sushi and have it at least weekly.Selection here is incredible and Im always finding new things I want to try. The Wegmans store brand is bar none the best grocery line -- maybe only Publix even coming close. I would without hesitation buy Wegmans brand over the national brand -- its that good!Unfortunately since its the only Wegmans in the region, it is always busy. The parking lot is very crowded at all times, but check out lanes are rarely backed up. In general this is a quality place and THE grocery store in Ithaca.

I love Wegmans. It would be my favorite place to grocery shop if I had unlimited funds. I shop at Wegmans mostly when I need a specialty ingredient or Im having a dinner party and need a superb cut of meat, fish or beautiful hors doeuvres. Their produce is gorgeous and cheese selection is unrivaled. A beautiful market and nothing else really compares. Its just not the best option for a family on a budget.
Mostly friendly staff; The BEST selection; It can be difficult to manuever through some of the aisles, with all of the displays coupled with all of the people and their carts. My suggestion would be to not put so many displays standing IN the aisles. Overall, we love Wegmans. I dont think grocery store does it justice. I would call it a Grocery Experience.
Im very impressed!!! What a beautiful store this is. Much, much more than just a grocery store. Everything youd want on a trip to the store. There is so much to see that I had to stop and look around me. So many conveniences! The train set that goes around on a track is absolutely adorable! Entertaining!
Normally we have great experiences here, but today was different. My family and I stopped by the cafe to grab coffee before shopping. We were trying to maneuver the mini cooper sized kid cart to where it would be out of the way. We had already moved to a couple spots because we were trying to avoid congestion . I honestly didnt mind, it just seems like the norm here for people to be in the way. Yet, we then had the barista from the cafe tell us to move because we were blocking the coffee. We definitely would have moved if someone needed coffee, but what isnt being blocked if you are trying to wait for something and have a cart in this place? Anyway, it just seems really weird to shoo away a guest who is waiting to purchase something from your business. Im not sure if each department is ran differently, but sure, I will not get coffee next time and be in the way. In general, it is just uncomfortable to shop here, especially if you have children. Maybe a redesign is in order, or maybe smaller carts?
Wegmans has some pretty good staff and the quality of their products is great. However, the catering department has repeatedly messed up my wife and Is orders, as well as placing the wrong name on the order.
Impressive collection of Asian grocery. Their cafe is very good. So much to pick from. The bakery section is huge. Huge collection of vegetables and fruits. Over all a family place with all the good stuff to buy. You can eat while you shop. It is quite different from walmart and other super markets.
This is so much more than a grocery store. Amazing lunch buffet with more gluten free selections than I could count, and everything labelled. Sushi, smoothies, pressed juice, hot dishes, cold dishes, fried plantains, and even a wide selection of gluten free Asian food with gluten free soy sauce. Better selection and flavor than most restaurants I have been to. We happened on this place by chance, and I can tell you how glad I am that we did!! My husband got all the comfort foods he loves too including homestyle Mac and cheese, bbq chicken, and fresh made pizza. There really is something for everyone here. Tastes like gourmet, everything was very fresh.
The one in Elmira is nice including the shoppers. The one in Ithaca is rather busy with disrespectful customers. They dont use their manners. The one is Corning is also very nice with nice customers. I wont go to Ithaca one again unless I absolutely have to.
Definitely the best stop for regular fresh veggies and meat. And of course, the cold pressed fruit juice collection is the best!
Wegmans is by and far the best supermarket in the area. It has everything, literally everything you could want- cookware, fresh flowers, beer, produce, ethnic foods, gifts, local products, a full cafe and eatery. It is clean, open 24/7, and reasonably priced. I go out of my way to shop here.
Great produce, bakery, olive and cheese bar. Good meats and seafood. Store brand items are high quality. I do the bulk of my weekly shopping here. Often crowded. If that bugs you, I suggest you go very late or very early.

The biggest grocery store in Ithaca and surrounding areas, Wegmans.Thats really all that matters when it comes to reviewing stores. Customer Service is situational and therefore unable to be reviewed, just know that this doesnt deserve any more praise than any other store.
Great supermarket, with so much variety, and an awesome salad bar/sushi/pizza/Asian food hall too! Just dont go on Sunday at midday - it was so so SO chaotic! But, it had all the healthy goods one loves so I was okay with fighting the crowds.
This place is amazing compared to some of the other stores nearby. I had taken a few other people with me and ran in for a quick look. An hour later and a cart full of items made it even better. The pre made meals were pretty good and the selection of products as well as variety is impressive. Will definitely be returning.

The best grocery supermarket in Ithaca! The products are always fresh, and they are reasonably priced. The best deals for meat are when you get the value packs, though the steak is relatively expensive. But they have pretty much anything you would need to make your dish. Also, it is open 24 hours! It is less crowded the later in the night you go, so if you dont like crowds, go at night.
Wegmans always has all the groceries I want, and even new things I will try, and more often, than not, end up liking. The employees are always pleasant, and chipper, I have a son that worked there, and he loved it.

Ithaca’s Wegmans has a great selection at good prices. I particularly appreciate that the Wegmans brand clearly labels items that are vegan. I find though, that items are frequently out of stock or discontinued. Furthermore, the store is usually uncomfortably crowded and there is something about the store that makes everyone shopping there turn into a rude jerk.
Always a good place to try something new you may not have tried due to cost. My wife and I tried the sweet bread and sharp swiss. Very tasty! We ventured over to the deli and got our usual order of cheese and lunch meat. We purchased a very good Columbus piccante salami that was AMAZING! we dont splurge on ourselves much but the sample at the kiosk made our pallets hunger for more. Well worth the trip and the prices are reasonable. Ive loved coming here as a child and hopefully our children will too!
Wegmans was horrible overcrowded and not enough cashiers. Ive always thought they were good with a wide selection and that they took pretty good care of their employees. Come to find out not true they fire employees without just cause. One of the worst things was that they discriminate against poor people in that they have a place to eat as well as a cafe. If you want to sit down in the cafe and go on the internet you absolutely must have state-of-the-art equipment they have locks on all of their outlets so you cant plug in charge your phone or plug in a computer. Like in my case I have a laptop its really good but the battery is shot so I have to plug it in not so even though I bought an overpriced Danish and coffee I couldnt go on the internet while my wife shopped because Im not rich enough to afford a brand new computer that had a good battery. Shame on Wegmans for pretending to be the good store I dont recommend going there. Plus the prices are on the steep side.

2022-07-06An amazing store on a great spot, lot of parking spots , very good ambience for shopping. Staffs are friendly , attentive , informed. We went to market cafe and food tasted good. But for the price it is not worth. It came around average $20 person( we did not had lot of quantity though). Some food needs refill when we were there. But mostly Asian , pizza foods in the food bar. Soups are available for standard price based on cup size ($5 is min). Variety of beer , no wine sold in the store, big and spacious store.

2022-05-07Great cereals!!! My friend Xander and I had a lovely time in this sanctuary of delicious food. It’s an ideal place if you want to spend a fun Saturday evening or you need to do your weekly grocery shopping. There’s even a candy section.It wasn’t only fun it turned out to be useful ‘cause we needed a birthday card for Gaby and we found the perfect one!!Thank you Wegmans. Really recommend this place.

2022-05-28Second time in a month that I’ve bought oysters and they were rotten. Tried specifically to clarify with the seafood guy that they were fresh, he was rude and lied. They’re adamant that I hold onto and return the rotten oysters, even though I told them I’m 7 months pregnant and I have a receipt. It’s unreasonable to expect me to save them until I can drive 30 minutes to get there again. That’s gross. I understand policy but it could be a little more reasonable. Get better oysters

2022-03-22I love Wegmans, great selection, and their food is high quality. That said, this place is almost always crazy busy with seemingly grumpy customers...and their food prices have skyrocketed. A meal or snack at their Cafe is ridiculously expensive for most items compared to going out to eat at a restaurant. Walmart and Trader Joes are remarkably cheaper.

2022-03-21I am just so disappointed when I go here now. I loved Wegmans because I had choice; a variety of brands everyday. I expect my favorite brands to be there. Instead I see Wegmans brand dominating every aisle; which would be fine if they were good, universally. But they are NOT good. They are sub-par.

2022-06-15Amazing; the store is huge and has one of the best selections of options for miles, we found gluten free options in the cafe for lunch, which is rare, and ate on the second floor with an amazing view of Ithaca. The staff seem very stressed though, I worry theyre not getting taken care of as employees by the company.

2022-05-22They let a bunch of people in from the jungle and it ruins the Wegmans experience. Ive never seen so many filthy people in my life. Clearly it ruined my appetite. I wont be back. Ill go elsewhere.

2022-03-24I have always liked Wegmans, my wife and I shop at the Johnson City store and in Ithaca frequently. Today however I was really disappointed. I am a big fan of their subs, ordering them often. Today I ordered a large sub and selected whole wheat. The server took several loaves and put them back because they were mangled in the slicing! Finally the one she selected was not much better and she began making my sub. Three times I mentioned that the bread was already breaking apart and the sub was going to be a mess! She just kept repeating it will be fine. When it came time to fold it over it started to break apart and she turned her back so I couldnt see. It was impossible to eat as a sandwich and I ended up cutting it up and eating it that way! Not pleased at all! Yes, I should have asked for a different roll but I accepted her judgment it would be fine! Many of the sub rolls where mangled when they were sliced, hence the selection process beforehand! Something to look into i would think assuming anyone actually looks at these reviews!
