Wegmans in other cities:
Love this grocery store its really an amazing place to find all kinds of different foods from all over the world. There is a huge assortment of snacks and treats for any age. A wide selection of cooking supplies. Foods from all genres and cultures. You can spend hours shopping or just a few minutes if you follow signs and use express checkout. Really helpful staff always looking to assist or help you to the care if needed. Even dining for freshly prepared foods, a dinner hall, etc... Not much else you can ask for.
Wasnt impressed. The in-store bakerys Italian bread display had no price tag or sign of any sort and the packages werent price marked either. Walked past it. Overall the store was missing variety in core categories, shelves were not faced. Had to get down on my knees in frozen and dig the family pack meatballs out from the very back on the bottom shelf. Only department I did not see any issues in was front end.
Wegmans is awesome , the only drawback to this one is that there is a small parking lot and a lot of people in and out ! It used to be a much smaller wegmans that was remodeled so the older portion of the grocery store seems a little condensed. Such great prepared food and so many choices !
My friend & I went shopping today & I couldnt believe how clean & so fresh this store was the sweetest grocery store i have ever been in & the employees were all so helpful & polite i am not going to any other grocery store because you cant beat the freshness & the chicken cacciatore was so DELICIOUS so thank yall
There is a Employee named Elias who worked at the Pizza area. He never said anything to me, Not even Hi. Just stared at me like im an alien? Then I said, okay can I please order some pizza. And he didnt move just stared and then acted like im bothering him to get me pizza..Then he proceeds to get extremely angry and frustrated because the Box wouldnt close for the pizza. This guy is just angry. How are you employing people like Elias? He is extremely rude, not sure how you have these ratings as a company with employees like this..
I went to pick up a cookie cake that I had ordered through Meals2go and I was disappointed to find that both designated pick-up spots in the parking lot were occupied by cars that were not there for Meals2go pick-up. Given the limited spaces for this it would be nice for Wegmans staff or security to better monitor whos parking there.
I love shopping at Wegmans. It has always been my favorite groceries stores. They have great customer service. The lines are never backed up down the isle. If they do get long, theres always someone there watching and send customers to a shorter line. Even if its a 7 items or less line. Great for customer service 👍. For this particular Wegmans on East Ave, I love the romantic Italian restaurant scene 😍
I bought the frozen whole wheat pizza dough. Followed the directions and it came out amazing! I had the wegmans pizza sauce 99 cents the whole milk shredded mozz $3.49 1/3 Spanish onion and 1/3 red bell pepper and one large portobello mushroom as well as some fresh crushed garlic. I cant say how well this pizza came out. btw, the basil, onion, and pepper came from Trader Joes at approx 1/2 the price of Wegs.
Wegmans is one of the greatest stores in the country. Their customer service is the best Ive ever seen. You can ask ANY ONE of the employees where an item is and they can tell you the aisle, whether its on the left or right and how high or low on the shelf it is. They truly appreciate their customers.
Very clean, bright and a great variety of fresh fruits and vegetables. The staff are very helpful in every department of the store. If you need help finding anything they will give you individual attention to help you find what you are looking for while guiding you to where the product is. Best customer service I have ever received at any store. 5 stars.
Very large Wegman’s, has everything you could want in a grocery store plus has a amazing deli dept. I would recommend this wegmans even for a relaxed meeting with clients or colleagues the Cafe area has a nice lounge area for just that occasion and has a private area for large parties
I hate that I have to give 3 stars but this is serious. What is going on with the produce cause the last 3xs I’ve picked up my food or shopped for myself. The veggies and fruit is moldy!! I just picked up my order and the employee put moldy blackberries, romaine hearts, cauliflower, and cantaloupe in with my order. Instead of taking their time to insure it’s not bad is UNBELIEVABLE why would you put this in a customers order. It was plain as day this food was bad. I don’t want refund but I had to get one. I rather have the food! Wegmans needs to get produce in check. This is unacceptable and none the less disappointing. Tell your produce employees old produce should be pulled forward to sell first. You don’t put new produce in front of the old. It’s not rocket science and this is for the east Ave location and Brockport.
For a store it’s great. For a wegmans, it could do better. Unlike other wegmans this store feels more warehouse vibes and has very tight isles. They will not have all the things you are looking for, that might be at your normal wegmans. And the parking lot is horrid! That said, it’s still better than any other kind of grocery store, so don’t worry you don’t have to suffer and go to tops.
Wegmans is one of, if not the top, grocery stores out there. There is so much to say about it. Excellent produce, amazing meats (giggity), delicious premade foods, awesome dairy selections, fabulous deli meats and cheeses, fantastic bulk foods, extensive beers and many more. Prices are high but quality is higher.
Why can’t there be another Wegmans near downtown? This east ave store has a reputation for being busy because it is always busy. All the focus is always on the Pittsford Wegmans. Why can’t there be more focus on the downtown area for Wegmans? It has been enough years that they should re-try to do this.East Ave. Wegmans was renovated about 10 years ago and it has been overcrowded for years. I’ll remove this post when Wegmans brings more attention to the downtown area, when either east ave gets less busy or I can go to a different store near downtown that isn’t overcrowded
East Ave Wegmans is a staple of Rochester. Ive gone here since I was a kid and some of the faces I see havent changed. The #1 indicator of a good company for me is employee retention. I love this Wegmans and hope that the company continues to treat its employees as its #1 Asset.
For the East Ave Wegs: The people are nice. The store is a bit small/cramped, but I sometimes walk by the isle I need a couple of times somehow. I get my prescriptions there and I never have to wait long to pick them up though, which is a huge plus. I never have to wait long at the regular checkout either. The parking lot is terrible if you go at a busy time, and I actually will not go during peak hours because it is that bad. I wont shop at another Wegmans if I dont have to though because that Wegs is close, but also because it feels like home and I am familiar with its layout.
This is by far the BEST market Ive come across thus far indeed👍FOOD and more FOOD. Customer Serv is Great, store very clean and maintained inside as well as outdoors. Parking is a bit of a Hassle if pulling in so try bcking in parking spot so bcking out doesnt HURT other shoppers or Employees of WEGMANS✌(Stay safe😷)
The perfect store if youre an antimasker!I was informed by the police officer stationed in the front of the store that it is Wegmans policy to not remove maskless individuals from the store, and that his hands were tied. The manager gave me a solid Oh they must have removed their mask when they came in.
Evening/Night hours are best for shorter checkout lines. It can get quite crowded in the store and in the parking lot during day and early evening hours and can be frustrating navigating around. Like the premade meals, seems a little pricey for the quantity, but u cant beat the quality!
Hello Danny I bought a 12 pack of icecream sandwiches and the box was missing one.. very disappointed because i had a group of 12 people so everyone could have one each.. So one person had to go with out. And I am also very upset that you do not have blue bunny icecreams.
Its probably my least favorite wegmans in town. The selection is fine but the place is just too small for the volume they deal with. The parking lot is literally a Rochester meme for how chaotic it is and the place was somewhat claustrophobic even before covid. Its a fine store but going there at any peak hours i would not recommend, the aisles are just too narrow compared to other stores and its always getting jammed up, can be hard to find a place to stand still in there without being in someones way.
Always a clean store, follows the rules in place for the state for Covid. Employees here are nice and willing to help despite everything going on while keeping you and themselves safe, which is a plus. Also have an amazing selection of products! We love the fresh pizza crust, and sauce! Located near the Sub/Deli Station. Definitely recommend trying to make homemade pizza 🍕 with your kids like I do! My daughter is an amazing cook thankfully lol 🙂
The Quality of the products sold is good not awesome and the price is high. Although I go to grocery stores that give me two to three times the value for my dollar and I know what to avoid. I still come to Wegmans for specific items that I cant find at these other places. The stores are well stocked and provide good customer service. I think its not good that self service check out and pay stations are here. They eliminate jobs and havent lowered any prices.
I always enjoy shopping at Wegmans, customer service is wonderful, and helpful, and if the person youre speaking cant answer you, they are willing to find the answer for.....products are fresh, and there are many choices......and when I use instacart, Im still offered wonderful, and thoughtful customer service, very professional.
Ordered subs for the family and the Sub Shop employee was extremely patient, polite, and friendly. She didnt rush me, and most impressive, she read back the subs to me to make sure she had them correct. She said it would take 30 mins to make them all, but they were ready within 22 mins. That was wonderful seeing I ordered 6 subs. My only issue was that their oven wasnt working so I couldnt get bacon on my sub.
I love most wegmans stores but this one is very cramped and shoppers were quite pushy. Checkout people awesome, very good staff. Layout of store is very tight, nor enough room to get around during busy times. Parking is crazy but not as bad since they blocked off one exit, flow is good with traffic cop in place.
This Wegmans store is okay but it lacks a warm, welcoming feel. No one has ever been rude but they couldnt be accused of being too friendly, either. And the parking is nuts unless you go later at night. I believe the lot was expanded, but it hardly makes a difference. Its still too crowded for me.
Worst Wegmans I have ever been to, parking is terrible, aisles are too small, selection is lacking or sold out, and store layout makes no sense with managers who couldnt even point me in the direction of their store brand Parmesan cheese. I prefer driving twice the distance to another store and I recommend you do the same.
Wegmans as long as I have known it. Has always been such a well maintained and high class establishment. High quality products and fresh food daily. I have never had a bad experience at Wegmans and I am very grateful to have such an establishment where I live. This particular Wegmans on East Ave is one of the newer Wegmans and is really spacious and clean. It is busy most of the time I go there but really fast and great service overall.
Its Wegmans, there isnt anything not to like. The best Meat in the area. You really wont get that anywhere else in Rochester. Clean restrooms around the clock, good hot prepared food, a great selection of beer, awesome bakery delights and pretty much anything you need 24 hours a day in the grocery industry.
Excellent urban location of Upstate NYs finest grocery chain. Stopped here late on a cold snowy night with the kids asleep in the car to pick up a few supplies before going back to the hotel. The service was great. I needed to get cash back from the self checkout, but only noticed I used the wrong line too late. The front manager helped me out by letting me check out a second time with no items so I could get the cash. Very helpful, and as always the store has everything we needed.
Ive always had nothing but great experiences at Wegmans. With that being said Wegmans has also shown outstanding service at multiple locations that I have frequently visited. Recently I have moved from the Penfield area to Downtown Rochester and have been going to the East Ave Wegmans. I never thought Id be saying this but its been nothing but a dreadful experience each time Ive walked in. I actually procrastinate buying my grocierys each week and put it on the back burner of my to-do list. This is because the store is unorganized and does not provide all of the items I need. When I go on the app to look up items the store either doesnt have them or it shows that it does when it does not. Im also disappointed to see that the Organic/Vegetarian Aisle is so small and limited. You have the best croud of people walking in here for those kinds of products and I find myself traveling to other locations to buy the products I need. Another complaint that I would like to Express is that many of your employees do not seem to be happy and can sometimes be very rude. Maybe its time to look at the management staff and how they interact with those on the floor, or how the schedules are being managed. They look overworked and tired. Today I dealt with 4 employees and lets just say I was given more vinegar than honey. Please Wegmans, is there anything you can do about this?
Okay, I love Wegmans as a whole. The meat is fresh, the fruit is fresh. They get alot of local produce.its clean. Its completely accessible. Someone will even shop with you for accessibility reasons if you call ahead. They will take your bags to your car. For the items I buy they cost less than Tops. At East Ave the have small sizes and single packaged items. The staff is helpful and courteous. I do have a few issues. 1) Slowly there is an increase of Wegmans brand while other brand disappear. I like a choice. When this happens the label indicates it was packaged in Rochester but doesnt tell me where the product originates. 2) They redid the East Ave store to make it bigger but put that restaurant in it and took up valuable space. They have so many displays in the aisles and near the registers its hard to get around. 3) And the parking! Thank goodness they have employees park underneath but why didnt they put more underground parking. Whos paying the City of Rochester police to direct traffic in the Wegmans lot?
Wegmans is simply amazing, but this Wegmans isnt as good as some of the others available. I love the wide array of bakery options, but I believe it has taken up room for regular grocery items. There are items I like to get that are available at every other Wegmans in the area, but arent at this one. Also the aisles are a bit narrow compared to the other stores.
I love Wegmans. This is one of their smaller locations, and it does feel a bit cramped. It is much better since the remodel, and much better than anything else downtown. I would take a large selection over large aisle any day. The aisles are also only an issue due to Wegmans popularity.
Im a born-Rochestarian, so Wegmans will always have a bit of my heart. Which is why it kills me to give a poor review, however their lack of attention to health guidelines in stores is beyond disappointing! The aisles at East Ave location are already more narrow than most groceries stores, and in combination with the holidays its virtually impossible to get down an aisle bc there are so many carts and people, nevermind keeping your distance. There is NO crowd control at any of the locations Ive visited and the hand sanitizer is practically always out.Outside of their response to public health & safety however, Wegs is still a great source of groceries, meals-to-go and pizza. Id just suggest ordering delivery or pickup for anything you need.
Loved the Model trains above the meat department in the Rochester store. Told a model collecting Doctor out here in Seattle. He said he knew of other Wegmans back east that had trains in them as well. Anyone know their story? Is there one of the chain owners that love model trains and put them in the stores? Thanks for the visit out there. Family enjoyed the trip.
Fantastic! Wegmans has anything you need/want...just about. I used to work for Wegmans in the past, they have really improved the Wegmans experience @ East Ave & Winton Rd. The prices are comparable to other grocery stores, w/ more & better selection. The parking has MASSIVELY IMPROVED, it used to be sparse at best...cramped, narrow spaces. Plenty of handicapped spots. Parking is always free & ample. The staff are friendly & knowledgeable & will tell you or walk you to, what you need. The stock is always rotated & fresh. If you have never had the Wegmans experience, you NEED to do so...refreshing. Its part of the Rochester, NY tourist guide...well it should be, if it isnt.
Worst “customer service” I have ever received after asking for a simple return on a gallon of milk that was rancid. Apparently Wegmans would rather keep the $4 and lose a 7-year loyal customer and supporter of wegmans. I will never shop at Wegmans again and I’m sad to say that on general principal, I can’t continue to support a company that doesn’t back its customers or community.
Great grocery store. Has large organic food section. Only problem is that each Wegmans is laid out differently so when going to a different one you cant be efficient. They also carry different things at different stores. Best to use the app to find out if that Wegmans carries a certain item.
I loved the old store and I love the new one! Its always busy and still feels like the old store. But its definitely subjective. Its 90 % customers from the neighborhood, which is nice. And Its the only Wegmans left in the city of Rochester. And I reside in the city as well. So I feel very fortunate that its open and not going anywhere.
Great store. Ive been shopping at Wegmans for a long time. I work of wegmens as well. It a good company to work for. There is a lot of benefits. The store are maintained to a good quality, theres a wide spectrum of services and friendly staff. They are also conveniently located.
E Ave Wegman’s Must be commended for its adherence to Covid-19 protocols. Feel safe shopping in store. Quality of Wegman’s-brand products is equal to or better than popular name-brands. Produce, meat and dairy products are always fresh. HS and College workers are notably courteous, helpful and pleasant, testimony to Wegman’s commitment to youth, employee training program(s) and inclusive team culture. The store is a welcoming and comfy. It’s a one-stop shopping place, where old friends are likely to bump into each other and have a clean area in which to sit, snack and catch up—on site.
This store has been going downhill for a long time but has accelerated its decline during the pandemic. Many major healthy value-for-money national brands (Heinz low-sugar and salt ketchup, sugarless jam, King Arthur white whole wheat flour) and superior local products replaced by expensive, inferior store brands--Wegmans is trying to do an Amazon and drive other brands out. Employees no longer know where anything is. Customer service people snippy, And that ghastly bottle return--overregulated so that people who actually SHOP in the store cant return a few bottles because of homeless with cartloads that take hours to process (help desk wont take a few bottles). Tops is now, though I cant believe it, superior in ALL these areas. Bye, Wegmans; hello, Tops.
Wegmans are all typically great; their produce is always fresh and well maintained and stocked, their butchers and meat departments are second-to-none in the area, and their stores are always clean and inviting. They always have enough people on staff that you dont end up waiting forever at check-out, but the East Ave Wegmans parking lot is a disaster waiting to happen. The number of near-misses Ive seen in this parking lot are astronomical. This is definitely something that should be addressed; I understand that they want to keep people moving slow and there are constraints that make it difficult in this location, but its really bad.
Avoid peak hours because it can get very busy. The parking lot is poorly designed too and just exacerbates the crowdedness. I love their selection of products though except for their chip selection which is weak. Atmosphere is nice if you can find a time when there arent many people there (after 8pm or before noon).
Wegmans is amazing, I cannot say anything bad about the stores themselves. My problem with this Wegmans is the parking lot. I have seen so many almost accidents in this parking lot that it is actually alarming. The traffic directors don’t even really help, they almost worsen things because the signals are not always clear. Best to go to this Wegmans late at night, no parking issues!
Parking is a bit tight. But thats the only negative thing you can say about an incredible grocery store and dining experience. I always have a great selection of products and everything is very nice quality at extraordinarily competitive prices. The food in the restaurants is also excellent and you can walk in and pick up a quick lunch or dinner at there hot food bars or Pizzeria or whatever and go away quite satisfied.
Others might not that its smaller than the other stores in the area but for me that is the appeal. Its a get your basic necessities plus find a few new treats along the way type of store. Staff here is generally friendly, Ive never seen them be rude (thats a different story for a different location). One star off is for that parking lot and how backed up it gets very quickly during all hours of the day that it becomes such a pain to exit. Because this is an inner city location though, this place is always very crowded.
A good central location. Well maintained and managed. Though it is the most cramped and hard to park in locations here in Rochester. It is a good compromise for those in the city. Good choice for food due to its variety. And always good sushi during their operational hours. Though they are the highest prices store generally speaking in the area. Some would say its well worth it for the quality.
Great selection of all the staple foods. Their fruits and produce is always top notch and usually pretty well stocked. The great selection comes with the drawback of a very crowded feeling store although the layout is logical and well planned; I always avoid this location during peak hours. Prepared foods are extremely overpriced for the quality (comparable to tapas at a mediocre café). The sub shop is fantastic, and everything is always fresh. Customer service is extremely friendly and the large selection of Family Pack items can lead to good savings if you shop right.
This is by far the only Wegmans I dislike and by far means so far. Its so small and cramped and always sold out of things and u can never find what u need when ur in a hurry . There is no such thing as run in run out at this Wegmans. I love Wegmans as a grocery store and love everyone except this one. Its worth the ten minute drive in any direction to get to a normal Wegmans and not have to deal with this one. This should never of been built the site just wasnt big enough for what a true modern day Wegmans requires to deliver customer satisfaction.
This market is set up so nicely that you can find what you are looking for easily. If you can not find something, a employee is right around the corner to help! When you are cashing out your products, this store has a bunch of registers open, no waiting. You can tell that the employees here really like their jobs
Nice but way, way too congested for me. Parking very inconvenient, as well. Really tougher for someone with trouble walking. But store was nice & vegetables seemed fresh & inviting...love the colors of fresh fruits & vegetables! Arranged very nicely....sort of draws you in. Young man of Wegmans employ, offered to take my cart back after I had unloaded my groceries. So very nice & so very kind of him, as I have trouble walking. Thank you young man!!
I go there almost for lunch every work day. Wegmans doesnt realize that more people want ranch dressing as opposed to the 50 billion packets of blue cheese dressing you put out there. Your salad bars are nice and full but Im certainly not going to eat salad without dressing. Of course, the staff are quite nice there you can always ask. Summary of this is that not all dressing are created equal. Besides that, food is available.
The selection is great as with all wegmans. Staff are friendly. Only complaint, and this is a serious problem, the isles are way too narrow. You spend a lot of time negotiating around other shoppers and their carts. Its best to avoid popular shopping times if youre going to need to use cart.
The cashier was kind of awkward, and didnt say anything to me despite there being complications with my card, & issues with her scanning certain of my items multiple times/voiding things. But overall, its Wegmans and itd amazingly dependable in terms of stocked items, and healthy food options.
There are always police posted in the entrance of East Ave Wegmans. Today I saw the officer watch a woman without a mask walk in. The officer weekly called after the maskless woman, But did not follow her when the woman did not respond. Im not sure why we need police guarding the entrance to Wegmans to begin with, but the one thing that would make sense to me was to make sure that we dont have maskless folks spreading COVID.
I didnt realize how much I missed Wegmans until I moved to Boston for a few years. This store was recently remodeled, and the new parking lot is pretty messed up, but the inside of the store is beautiful and about twice as large now. Fix the parking lot and it gets 5 stars!
Wegmans on East ave, busy yet has alot of things the other stores may not, very good gluten free section, as well as a really nice international isle, though if you go there during rush hour or on the weekends, expect to have to dodge and weave through traffic and people.
I love me some Wegmans, ok? I LOVE Wegmans. This is just a nit-picky gripe about the East Ave store specifically bc its closest to me. That store is borked. Sure, its convenient, much like the Culver & Ridge store in Irondequoit and the East Rochester store, but its not a real Wegmans. Its small, cramped, and it just feels *different*. They have such a limited selection, and the things they dont carry baffle me. Ruffles All-Dressed chips are missing, but the other specialty Ruffles are available. Also, their packaged summer salads (mustard potato salad, pasta salad, etc.) and single serving bottles of Upstate Farms milk selections are weak.-a spoiled Rochesterian Wegmans shopper
Lovely supermarket. Great service. Clean, inviting aisles. Has limited stock of items other than their brand. Want canned corn? Better be happy with their brand, (most with added sugar), as you will find no GREEN GIANT, DELMONTE, or any other brands. Coffee? Wegmans and Dunkin Donuts is it. Definitely limited.
Anyone who has never been to Wegmans will enjoy this location. Its freshly renovated and offers great prices of fresh produce, quality store brand products (that are better than national brand products).Wegmans is a Rochester favorite, that is quickly growing into an East Coast staple... rivaling such national places as Whole Foods
Wegmans = Greatness. I called ahead with a sub order (6 or so subs). I arrived about 10 minutes early and they were just finishing up the order. Although busy, they were fast and efficient. Everyone loved their subs! And their chocolate chip cookies are to DIE for :)
This is one of the smaller stores in the chain. Built to replace the one that had been even smaller. Its been in the city for 40+ years. the parking still sucks but the rest is great. It will be busy all weekend and many evenings. As there are a bunch of office/factories around do not be suprised if you see people walking in for their lunches.
Its a Wegmans so it has that going for it. Outside of that its one of the more poorly designed Wegmans Ive been to, but Im from the area so they are a staple and when you get to see the others in the area, specifically the suburbs, you would understand why I say that. The parking lot is very, very crammed and often difficult to get into and out of. The aisles are much smaller than other locations. Outside of those two things, you can typically come to find everything you would expect from a Wegmans, including a great selection of prepared foods, a variety of produce, including organic, and all the other canned foods, breads, cereals, etc. you can expect from a grocery store. What sets Wegmans apart is the experience, from the decor to your interaction with employees, its always consistent and pleasant which has kept people coming back for years.
I really like the bigger wegmans way more then the old one. they have almost everything there and the check out they really have customer service. the only reason i gave it 4 stars is because the return bottle center is one of the issues. the bottle center closes at 10:00pm 7 days a week. when i went there twice to hurry and return the bottles by 9:15pm or even 9:30pm. they close it all down when the sign says they closed at 10pm. the last time i went there it was around 9:30pm and the worker ask me how many bottles you need to return and he also ask are you in a hurry? first of all its not 10pm yet. and secondly theyre was no need for the worker to catch a attitude just because he had to open up one the bottle machines he decided to close down 30 or 40 minutes early. i love the improvement of the store but the timing at the bottle center and that workers attitude problem makes me not want to return to the bottle center ever again. especially when you finally get there on time before 10pm and it was a problem. fix that problem East Ave Wegmans and i will rank it a perfect 5.
This is the superstore. Its very clean, organized. Staff is professional & helpful. We love everything about it. Deli is fresh, sushi made fresh everyday (long time sitting sushi is removed & replaced with fresh). The bakery is extraordinaire will work with you on any specialty work you want done. The pizza & subshops are great. The restaurant is also very good. You can even purchase dinners to go from the specialty shop or from the refrigerator. They will also prep meals in the meat dept. Seafood is fresh, if they dont have something youre looking for they will get it. For the holidays you can pre-order dinners, but you must put your order in early. Fresh breads, cookies, cakes everyday. They also have specialty items.
In my opinion, this is the worst Wegmans location by far. Its truly a shame that its the closest one to the downtown area. The parking lot is atrocious. The produce department is a claustrophobes nightmare. The aisles are a game of chicken. It is impossible to have an easy shopping trip without frustration in this store. If you misplace a coupon (or your peace of mind) while shopping, good luck finding it - you wont. It is also not uncommon for the app to show something as in-stock despite the store itself not having it.
I was less than impressed with this Wegmans. For one, its not very big, thus making it more cramped than most Wegmans. The stores isles are narrow, and it makes the traffic situation inside the store almost as bad as in the parking lot outside, which, as others have duly noted, is a disaster. This stores appeal lies mostly in the immediacy of when you first step inside and notice the baked goods, sushi, and the fresh fruits and veggie stations, which are a bit more exquisite in their offerings compared to other locations. Beyond that there is little to write home about, and it is no different than any of the other Wegmans stores. In fact, I think this Wegmans offers even less than some of the stores that have been around for the last 20+ years. And at least those stores have ample space to maneuver a cart without crashing into people. Furthermore, as another reviewer pointed out, some of the employees here are just downright rude. When I was checking out the organic meats selection, one of the employees from that department cut right in front of me to reorganize the shelves directly in front of where I was standing without even excusing herself. This is a Wegmans designed to appeal to the arrogant yuppies of East Ave, but I found myself largely underwhelmed and have no plans of going back. The hype which the initial opening of this store received is testament to just how dead Rochester is, culturally and otherwise.
Wegmans has great prices and the hot foods they sell here are the reasons why I visit for a quick meal. Also the cakes here are awesome we bought one for my partners birthday and it was one of the best bakery cakes we bought from a grocery store. If you dont feel like cooking I would highly recommend visiting their huge deli section with so many choices to choose from. I love the general tso chicken and lo mein noodles they sell.
What can you say, its Wegmans. Im here everyday. The store isnt as large and well stocked as the Pittsford location, however it is less than 5 minutes from my house. My favorite cheese monger works here and has been serving up the good stuff to me personally for 10 years. The parking lot is rough, I always park in the back, always.

2022-02-23Going to Wegmans itself is always a 5 star experience. I however have noticed that all stores are having a problem keeping dog food on the shelves. Are people buying it that fast, do they need to place larger orders, or is this a supply issue? It would be nice to know. My regular food hasnt been on shelves for weeks. A sign would be nice so I know what is going on.

2022-04-20If you have not been in a Wegmans before....may I ask why not???I myself can vouch for the Wegmans stores in Rochester area and they are the best all around for grocery needs! They always have fresh EVERYTHING to keep it short and sweet. If you have a question while in a Wegmans......Instead of getting mad/frustrated, ASK AN EMPLOYEE as they are ALWAYS nothing less then courteous and pleasant even while busy.....just ask.

2022-03-11I like wegmans but this is one of my least favorite stores. The aisles are narrow, its packed, and the parking lot is awful. Its not too bad to go to later at night, but when I went today I watched some guy get jumped by 3 other men after I walked in with security doing nothing. Always extremely uncomfortable to shop here, would love a whole foods.

2022-05-23You will never have a bad experience with Wegmans. They pride themselves on customer service, and live up to their reputation. They have a wide variety of goods, and are rarely out of stock! Ive found that I can shop cheaper at Wegmans than I can at Aldi or Walmart if I buy Wegmans brand items (which are also much higher quality than Walmart or Aldi). Always a wonderful place to shop.

2020-03-13Wegmans is amazing. This was ‘recently’ remodeled too. It has a new look but definitely has a very different feel on the inside. It’s much smaller than your typical Wegmans. Really great place though. Parking can be a nightmare in this location at times.

2022-06-11Cold. Self serve check out. No customer service at all. Plus pay for your bags that you have to bag yourself. Epitome of corporate greed. Too bad we have such limited choices here for places to shop. Wegmans is definitely not what it was.

2022-05-19This is a nice grocery store but food is very expensive and produce quality could be improved often get salad that ends up going bad in a couple days. But all in all a good store cashiers are friendly.

2022-01-14Wegmans has been the best grocery store, but this particular location is certainly special. Its very cozy inside and promotes a positive shopping experience. Especially like the windows that pull in natural light into the store.

2020-02-17My father recently went to Rochester on a business trip. There, he found a Wegmans and fell in love. He said the food variety was insane. A good wholesome store that is an experience for the whole family.
