The staff is very attentive to the residents. There is a lot of interaction with the residents and very friendly. You can feel the warmth and love in the Garden House. My mom is more alert, active and she feels very comfortable. This was a great choice. The area is large and has space for movement.
My 90 year old Dad has been here almost a week. He was admitted from a hospital late on a Friday night. Jackie the nurse in charge has been very thorough in answering our questions, doing detective work to make sure his meds were right, and letting us know the treatment plan. Today the whole therapy team and social worker came to talk to us about the inpatient treatment plan and goals, as well as plans for in home support once he us discharged. The aids have been very compassionate and helpful. The only negative I noticed was that the weekend staff seemed a bit thin compared to week day staff. The only advice I have for family is to get to know the team caring for your family member, ask very specific questions about the treatment plan, and note if plan is being followed. The staff is caring for alot of patients but happily answered our questions in a timely manner. The facility is very well appointed and comfortable. The artwork is very uplifting.
Seemingly decent place but the comunication between patients families and staff is less than desired. Odd that there are no provided televisions OR room phones in the long term care rooms. Nurses have come in to answer call button, shut off said call button and left patients room without offering assistance in the rehab section! Ive known better places. Ive also known worse.
I am a resident in the assistant living at Dosberg Manor. I love the friendly atmosphere and enjoy the friends that I have made. I love the all of the staff especially the nurses. I love all the activities that Dosberg Manor has to offer. Anytime I need help everyone is there for me. I love my Dosberg family.
I have a family member who is a patient at this facility. Most of the nursing staff is kind and helpful but there are a few who are very rude and treat the patients badly expecting them to do things for themselves that are specifically forbidden. The therapist taking care of her are wonderful. I realize that the nursing staff may be short staffed but that is no reason to verbally abuse the patients.
My father is currently a resident at Rosa Coplon and my aunt is at Dosberg Manor. Both receive good care and attention. The staff are approachable and competent. The physical structure is very spacious-you do not find residents lined up in front of a nurses station as you do in many other facilities. The space is kept neat and clean-free of odors. They both complain about some (sometimes most) of the meals but that seems to be the nature of the beast when you are feeding so many. Overall, we are glad they are safe, clean and protected at Weinberg .
First thing I’ve noticed is they treat employees poorly. Staff is constantly working short. Seems like no appreciation for their hard work. Nurses are very sure to “ride” the employees instead of offering to help. Even when they are short they don’t help at all even during meal times. I would never recommend this place to work at. As far as care for family the aides are great. Very caring. No organization at all. Always someone new.
Ive been visiting an older gentlemen whose family thought he would enjoy my company. 95 percent of The nurses and employees are friendly, outgoing and attentive. During the past 5 years Ive spent a great deal of times in nursing homes, hospitals, rehabs and doctors offices. This place is stellar! And gorgeous REAL art and sculpture is on every single wall. So far in the nursing home section Ive discovered 2 solariums, 2 giant birdcages, a micro movie theatre, and Im familiar with 3 pets that are brought in by guests to visit their family resident. Oh! And you can sign up to have a very affordable lunch or dinner or both with your family if you like to dine together.
My Dad was at Weinberg in the assisted living unit for a few months before we had to move him to Beechwood for more advanced care and I didnt realize how awful my dad was treated until we moved him somewhere where he was actually respected. The workers were constantly arguing with my dad and yelling at him for things completely out of his control and you could see the toll it took on him.
Wouldnt suggest working here. I was offered the job....Staff claimed I gave them the run around and I did what I was asked to do. They claimed they never got the information or emails. When I had proof that I sent it all and they resinded the job offer. Hr manager very unprofessional. Onboarding coordinator unprofessional as well and I was so happy and excited to start working here at first all the staff was welcoming now Im telling everyone I know dont apply there. I am so upset and very mad, not my fault they didnt get the paperwork but wasnt giving the run around. Very unprofessional staff.
My husband was transported and admitted to this facility for rehabilitation to regain his physical strength following a brief hospital stay after a minor procedure. The staff at this facility are grossly incompetent. Their neglect resulted in my husband needing ambulance transportation back to the hospital at my insistence which they attempted to prevent and delay. The hospital physician confirmed his status as critical and immediately admitted him into ICU. My husband is currently unconscious in ICU! Anyone with working vision could easily see his rapid decline directly associated with their neglect for his specific needs. I would not recommend any living species, human or animal, stay at this facility. Shameful! (One star was required to post, trust that I would give this facility no stars if allowed)
A sister of a Pt who is out of town. It would appear that one hand does not know what the other hand is doing. If a Pt is sent there for a focused and specific rehab.. there should be trained staff in this area and there is not. In the week my sister has been there she is still not familiar in dealing with her Colostomy. The Pt teaching is sporadic or not at all. When a Pt is faced with a traumatic event in their life a caring and knowledgeable staff is imperative.
I am currently a cna here. I will not reccomend this place to work at all. There’s no communication, always short and the people higher up doesn’t care for the lower level employees at all. You go to someone higher up to talk — you will be ignored. They can say they care all they want, but they don’t at all. I will never reccomend this place to work whatsoever. Some of the co-workers think they can speak to you any way just because they’re higher up.
Were trying to move my mother from WI back to NY. She was rejected by Weinberg for reasons unknown. My mothers 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren are all in NY. So is my brother. We were all set to move my mother when Weinberg said no. Paperwork was in place. This set us back quite a bit and we have to start over. Thanks for nothing Weinberg Campus.
Old outdated facility higher ups and nurses treat theyre staff and residents like absolute garbage there are mice, beabugs, and roaches, no food or off brand food they feed the residents the same thing at night like they do in the afternoon extremely short staffed because they treat them so bad they cant keep any staff employees are always lying on each other nurses would rather be on snapchat and Facebook then doing treatments or passing meds have walked in at night to the night nurses sleeping absolutely horrible run for the hills anyone who puts a loved one here wants them to die

2022-02-02This place is horrible. My grandmother requested A GLASS OF WATER for over 12 hours, one nurse told her she didnt need anything and she was fine. Another nurse walked out ignoring her.She also needs assistance to the bathroom, she woke up wet. The nurse got mad at her for not getting up and going to the bathroom. A WOMAN WHO IS BASICALLY CHAIR OR BED RIDDEN.This place is a absolute joke. Please dont send your loved ones here. Having to listen to my grandmother cry because she cant get any kind of decent or even basic care is terrible. Spare yourself.

2021-10-31My father had a stroke and I chose this facility to transfer him to for rehab. I ended up requesting he be discharged after a week due to poor care.On his first day of admission, I was asked to leave due to visitation changes because of 3 positive COVID cases. Visitation changed to outdoor visits only, the next day I picked him up for our visit and he was in soiled clothing and smelt, the aid that brought him out to me was not wearing a mask (along with many other employees walking around) and was very quick to dismiss us as I was trying to ask her questions about how his night was. The following day I went to pick him up, again he was soiled and smelt. I had to take him home to give him a shower. Throughout the week iv tried calling the nursing station several times and never got an answer, I would get forward to a different unit and told I would receive a call back, and I never did. The entire week there, my father received no therapy. At the time of discharge, they brought him to me soiled again and his dirty soiled clothes thrown in a bag on top on his toothbrush and self care items. I had to throw everything, including his suitcase out because it was All soiled. They also provided me paperwork with his discharge and scripts for his medication, I went to the pharmacy to get his medication for home and I was told the scripts could not be used because they were not filled out properly and signed by a doctor. Very very upset with our experience at this facility.

2021-08-15The place was very quiet. We were greeted with a very friendly staff who were very attentive and helpful. The campus is a sprawling area with lots of buildings so go to the visitors office first. The rooms are suites and have all the comforts needed for end of life.

2021-11-20This is the absolute worst place ever. I cannot believe the treatment and the last memories I have been forced to endure due to their neglect and complete disregard to their patients. The last visits have been heartbreaking finding my Grandmother displaced every several weeks making it harder and harder on her memory.I am DISGUSTED with the clothes they have had her in or shall I even say the lack of cothing we have found her in. They claim to have Lost all her clothes and her sentimental quilt. We arrived to find her in only a doctors gown and no other clothing. What kind of place is this?! this is the place of horror stories!

2021-08-09It is very quiet at this assisted living facility. Staff is nice enough, however, they are in need of more staff. Help is needed. The campus is quite lovely with the surrounding landscape deep in the north Buffalo/Amherst area. Be prepared for navigating a large campus.

2021-03-01Weinberg Campus is a wonderful place inside and out. The staff are very compassionate and go above and beyond for the residents. I would recommend anyone looking for a place for their loved ones to come here. Working here is very pleasant as staff are always friendly and management is willing to help at all times when needed.

2021-04-23I am reviewing the Weinberg Campus’ Home Health services (Rosa Coplon Certified Home Health Agency) and want to thoroughly commend the visiting RN, Al, who opened my father’s case. He is the perfect combination of seasoned, professional competence, thoroughness, appropriate sense of humor to put everyone at ease, and clearly an abundant amount of experience to foresee and anticipate potential issues. He has a gentle, yet direct teaching approach, with a high priority put on patient and family education and is both encouraging and reassuring. He demonstrated a comfortable, hands on approach, even to the extent of assisting my brother in taking off the bathroom door to allow ease of accessibility with the walker. He is a natural at building rapport with an older person who may be a bit more suspect having a stranger in their home. I am most grateful that we made the switch to his agency, Rosa Coplon Certified HHA, as VNA over promised and under delivered. It appears the more corporate a HH agency, the less you feel they are really there for you. This smaller HHA conveys a real sense of interest and concern and were much faster at getting a first visit accomplished as well as has therapists (PT and OT) more quickly available, whereas VNA would have had my dad delayed and getting weaker due to a long waitlist to see new patients. Al (and his agency) seems to be the perfect fit for my dad and I would highly recommend. Thank you, Al!

2020-05-04Was a pt. in rehab 2 months ago. Found most nurses & CNA ‘s considerate and caring. Therapists were very thorough and caring. Food was ok. Did have choices if I did not like what they were serving. Only complaint in dining area is girls were seen playing with their long hair and then serving food. It’s quiet compared to other facilities and private rooms are a plus.

2021-05-15Wife was just admitted on Friday around 9:30 at night for rehab after knee replacement. Neither the hospital (Buffalo General) or Weinberg provided me with any information and my wife wasnt given much information either that she could pass to me. Saturday morning I called to find out about visiting hours and was told its by appointment only on weekends and all were filled. So basically I am unable to see my wife till Monday. Not a good start for her rehab as coming from the hospital she needs personal items she couldnt bring to the hospital.

2020-01-30One of the nurses was so fabulous, she gave excellent care, always cheerful and so helpful, was compassionate to the elders needs without belittling and always respecting their dignity. But the facility is old and needs updating. Just because people are older doesnt mean it doesnt matter to them the conditions they have to live in. Please lets pay more attention to the care and needs of the elderly as we will all be there one day!!!
