Although the wait was long due to a large number of covid tests needed, t he front desk staff was very courteous and kind. When my turn came for testing, the nursing staff and nurse practitioner were incredibly caring in spite of the fact that they must have been very tired at the end of a long day. All things considered, although I would rather not have needed to get a test, Im very thankful I choose to go to this facility for what was needed.
Went in for covid test to return to work. There was a long wait but that was due to others coming in due to illness and it is first come first served. Everyone at this urgent care was very personable and friendly and from what I saw and heard everyone was treated respectfully from the time they got signed in to the time they were released. They did a great job with the amount of people they had to deal with. I would use this urgent care again if needed.
Super busy but efficient establishment. Great staff and were very thorough. In a day when the medical facilities change your providers on you, I feel places like this work out equally well.
Used this facility for the first time today. The staff are top notch and were so delightful to work with. The wait time was a bit longer than expected but it was to no fault of staff but this pandemic. I highly recommend this medical facility.
Staff was very friendly and informative! Also gave some useful advice! The doctor was also very supportive when it came to the patients decisions on what to do with their health and wellness.
My family and I came here for COVID testing … they were friendly , very efficient , and the wait time was very short ! They have also purchased their own PCR machines ….. so the the wait time is kept at minimum! Great to know that this facility is available and close to home ! Thank you!
On a Saturday morning when I had an urgent need for medical care, urgent but not worthy of an emergency room visit, I could not get an appointment with my regular doctor, no prescription over the phone, and no “convenient care” available until 24 hours later.I was able to walk in here, with no appointment, and was treated immediately by a pleasant and very helpful staff.
In fast, out fast. Everyone was very friendly and the medical staff attended to me quickly and professionally. Conveniently located too and the place was nice and clean.
Everyone was excellent! From the front desk, nurses, and nurse practitioner provider. All excellent. I think they are doing a fantastic job with the tremendous volume of patients seeking care. All was done with a smile and a take care.
We’ve had to visit twice over the last year and both times the staff was friendly and helpful. We were seen quickly on both occasions! I would definitely recommend Primary Urgent Care in Herkimer to friends and family.
They were able to meet my needs. Understandably there was quite a long wait. They have a really great system for COVID Testing and such, and I think they are handling the demands of this COVID-crazed world very well!

My daughter went today and was told she has Influenza A. That isnt the problem, she waited over 3 and half hours. While people who were just getting Covid test for vacation etc, simple stuff...She was with 102 temp, etc in the waiting room and this is ridiculous. They need to retrain medical team what urgent is versus not so urgent. Very upset with unprofessionalism.
Great experience. They were professional and timely. Highly recommend. I went this morning and got a time to arrive to be tested. Picked up paper work at 8am and my time was 2pm. I was swabbed by 2:03 and had my results by 2:25. Waited in my warm car for the results. It was a quick and painless process.

Every time I have come here we are in and out. The nurses are kind, patient and compassionate with my children. The physician Brittany is amazing and has been wonderful every time we have needed to come in.
Went in for a rapid Covid test and total time to get signed in and tested and results was much quicker than anticipated. Maybe 30mins in and out the door. Everyone was very friend and we’re all in good mood. Would go back to this location next time I get sick or need a rapid test.Highly recommend this Urgent Care.
Usually in and out very quickly , but went today with my son and couldnt get in because they were giving physicals to a team. Urgent care should take care of injuries first , since it is urgent care. But since its so urgent I hope all physicals went good.
The process was smooth and the staff was wonderful. The only thing I could have asked for was better instruction on how the process worked on their website. When you get there and wait in line you are waiting to be given a time slot for testing. You fill out the paperwork and wait until your time (in your vehicle) to go to the tent to be tested. Once administered at least for me, it was only about 20 minutes until I had results. I arrived at 7am and there was already a line of people, and my testing time was 930am just to give an idea of timing. Overall great experience.
I came in for a Covid test. The staff were very nice and friendly. I highly recommend.
Saved my life. They are well educated and friendly.They expressed to me that I needed emergent care. I initially went to tto get evaluation and possible x-ray of my ribs for a possible broken rib or strain at the urgent care. I agreed to be sent to hosp for further evaluation and I ended up having a PE and was admitted at local hosp for 2 nights.
We searched everywhere in our Albany area for a rapid Covid test and got nowhere. This office was wonderful! Walkins welcome, no referral (my physician never called me back in order to get a prescription for a test), and they were so kind. We filled out the paperwork, waited 10 minutes to be called and were then taken To a private room. We had our results in 20 minutes. I will be forever grateful to this office, as it now allowed us to receive our last vaccination.
Everyone was so welcoming to my family and I. There was 4 of us who came in together including my 6 month old son and they just really all made us feel we were safe(the baby was even very calm which is rare in this type of setting.) I’m incredibly thankful to everyone who helped us today. I finally feel much better and I just want to let everyone know who helped us that they’re doing amazing. 10/10 will be visiting again!
I was feeling terrible and they took me right in. I waited maybe 5 min. Had to get the covid test done fast. 15 min results were back. Yes I tested positive fo covid. I had the shots back in Feb and March.

I was a little nervous when I saw the line at 7:30 this morning, but it moved quickly and we were all given a time slot to come back. Just had mine done and have the results. They were very friendly and efficient. It would be helpful to people however if they knew they should call before they come down. I was in line with people who drove from a great distance and had nowhere to wait in between. Other than that everything was smooth
Been tested here 4 times due to nature of my job. Each time the staff was excellent. This place runs their COVID Rapid Tests efficiently and friendly. Should be a site for other providers to model. Had a great experience getting a covid test at primary urgent care in Herkimer. It can be a little confusing as what to do to get the test so maybe I can help a few people who were unsure like me. As of right now, 12/5/2020, arrive as early as you can 7-9am I believe and go to window on left side of main entry door, a friendly employee will give you a form to fill out with a time slot when you can return later in day or sooner depending on number of tests available and time you arrive. Then you return at your time slot and go to the right side window where they administer the test quickly and you wait 15-30 min Then another employee will pleasantly bring results right to your vehicle. I arrived at 7:50 and was given a 4:15 time slot for example. I’m sure this may vary and could change moving forward but thought I’d share my experience to help others. I did not have insurance at the time so it was a $100 fee. Overall it was smooth and easy once a nice lady let me know what to do who was also waiting for results.
Im currently on oxygen because I have COPD and asthma, so they got me in right away. Tested me for covid. The results were negative, I was in tears of relief due to my health issues. Prescribed me meds for my asthma. I am so grateful for their services. Thank you to all the health care professionals. Have a blessed day.
Went in for rapid Covid test there were so many before me and they continued to come in. Very good procedures set up and people got taken in very proficiently and got results quickly.
The doctors and nurses do extraordinary work trying to keep up with all of the appoints. Yes, it was a long wait today, but everyone was professional and caring today
We got in so quickly and didnt have to wait (which was great since my daughter felt awful.) The staff was super friendly and we were informed of everything that was going to be done. I would definitely recommend them for your care 🙂

Unbelievable!! I needed a COVID test and they met me at the door with a smile. The staff at Primary Urgent Care in Herkimer was phenomenal, friendly and had my test done within 5 minutes of arrival. Got the results in 10 minutes. Thank you to all the staff that was there this evening. I can’t thank you enough!
Love Primary Urgent Care, but we didn’t get the help we needed. Brought my child because of asthma protocol, symptoms not improving in spite of prednisone use and they only did a covid test with no help with the asthma. Appreciate knowing she is covid negative but what now?

I went in for covid rapid testing. Considering the amount of people there, they were very efficient. Props to all involved there. Arrived at 7am. Whole process done with results by 10am. Congratulations to the hard working staff. ....and it was cold outside. It didnt faze them. All deserve raises and a bonus!
I arrived around 1030 forna rapid test got in line and was informed that they had no more tests left for the day. I spoke to a young lady(nurse) and she asked the provider if i could get one later in the day. I had driven 2 hours and she showed me her human side and went forward and got me a test. I returned to the urgent care center later in the day and recieved my test and results.I only came into contact with 2 people i think both were nurses and they were incredibly nice and completely professional.I wish i had gotten the name of the first girl that helped me. Worked the shift on 11/29 .Brown hair and glasses.Great job to all

I was very impressed with the care they took to protect my health by coming to my car. I did not have to be close to anyone. This was very important to me, since someone going there could have covid-19. The personal was very professional and friendly. I wish I did not have to go and get tested. But it all turned out well. *FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE TO GO*I am 36 weeks pregnant and I was told I had to wait outside in 16 degree weather, on line to be tested. Was told I would be skipped if I waited in my car. The woman that came out to hand me paperwork was rude. People weren’t practicing social distancing and nobody came out to check that people even had masks on. I do not recommend this place.
My son had to be seen. Staff were super friendly and helpful to both my son and I. We were in and out very fast and the service we received was excellent! I will gladly take my children there again in the future if needed
Needed test for possible C-19 exposure.Great service, great staff, easy in-car service (except for swab which was one-at-a-time under a tent), total time from arrival to results about 45 minutes.Highly recommend!!
Had a smooth experience while having to get COVID-19 testing. From pick-up of paperwork to the actual swab and wait time for results, it was seamless! Kali was friendly, and of course gave the swab without any issues whatsoever! I highly recommend Primary Urgent Care!
There were about 6 people ahead of me when I arrived to check in and I was in and out in a very timely manner. From reception to the nurses and physician everyone was friendly, patient, and efficient.
The girls at Herkimer primary urgent care are awesome! They were very attentive,answered all of my questions. I had such a hard time trying to find a place that did a quick test without an appointment. They told me to come on in and if i couldnt get a test today i would definately get one the following day! They were very fast and efficient. Five stars, great job Herkimer staff!!
Had to get Covid test due to exposure. Only negative would be standing outside in the cold and limited number of tests which is not all their fault. Otherwise the staff was great! And it is nice to not have to wait a week for results when you are concerned and dont want to spread this horrible virus! Be safe everyone!
I went for a sinus infection. I had to have a covid test because some symptoms are the same. Test was negative.Dr? Came in. Did not introduce himself.. Asked what was wrong. I told him sinus infection. Listened to my breathing and told me I needed Flonase. I said no antibiotics? He said no. I dont think I have ever had a sinus infection and not been prescribed an antibiotic. He was with me maybe 2 minutes, left, wrote me a script for Flonase although its an over the counter item. infection. Never asked me any questions like do you have sinus pressures? Sore throat? Nothing. I felt he was rushing (they were very busy) So Im left with mixed feelings. Gave me a sheet on covid/ allergies (which I dont have).But, the staff was very nice. I didnt want to wait an hour in the waiting room so I waited in my car and received a call when it was my turn. Nice touch.Ive been here before and was treated respectfully.

Went for COVID rapid test. Arrived 7:50 and was swabbed by 8:20-8:30. Friendly and professional staff made you feel comfortable and safe in process. Call in they will instruct you on what to do. Walk up window on backside of building under tent then they come to car with results 15-20 mins later. Worth it, would come here again.

My very first visit and it was great. The staff was super sweet and i was im and out. If i had gone to the er i would have waited an hour just to be seen.
They are quick and courteous once you actually make contact. Went for Covid rapid results test at 1:30 and they were mobbed. Decided to come back around 3 and was told they were done testing for the day, although their website and here say until 5pm.Had driven 45 min to get there and could not get tested. Very disappointed.

Everyone at primary Urgent care in Herkimer were very friendly from intake X-ray tech and the nurse practitioner. I am very pleased with the service provided the nurse Practitioner did and excellent job stitching my finger .
Very on point, got the covid test, while the demand is high so they give you an appointment time, they make the process very efficient and quick once it’s your turn. Also the person giving the test was very friendly and made it easy.
After being referred to Primary Urgent Care by my healthcare provider for rapid results testing, I found the facility to be very well maintained and all staff members were super efficient and communicative to expedite the testing procedure..The staff were all welcoming and friendly with an attitude that made me feel secure and taken care of.I would be happy to revisit in the future for any medical needs I might have that are outside of ability for my primary health care to provide me, without hesitation.Sincere thanks to Primary Urgent Care!
Primary urgent care was great! I couldnt get an appointment with convenient care till the next day. I called there first cause my doctor is at Bassett. Anyway I called primary and they had us come right over, did a covid test and we were seen. The p.a. was so nice and smartEveryone was great! The worst service I have ever received. Today, 12/28/2020 at 3:15pm, I was told by the LPN Manager that my Federal Blue Cross Insurance does not cover covid testing for travel, I then called Blue Cross and they said that this uninformed person is incorrect, we DO cover the cost for covid testing for travel purposes. This manager was absolutely rude to my family and was more concerned with her license than the patients medical needs. What happened to patient centered care? Blue Cross then called this office TWICE while I was on the call with them, and no one answered at the office. So in the attempt to try to educate this person by the insurance provider, the staff could not even be bothered to answer their telephone. Very poor service and management. Avoid this poorly operated office. I can only imagine how inept the care is if they cant even provide properly informed basic testing.
My fourth time using this facility. Well run, courteous and professional people in all areas from check in to treatment. Can’t say one negative thing about any of my appointments.

Had to have covid rapid test for upcoming trip for my family and I. Told my insurance didnt cover it cost us $500. Called my insurance company and they said the opposite. Went through a whole process to get my money back. They are double dipping. Taking poor peoples money then submitting claims to the insurance company. Avoid going here!!!!
Their jobs are very tough right now and there’s a demand on them that is unreal between covid swabbing and sick patients, they are making the best of it and doing the best they can with this situation. The staff here is kind, courteous and efficient. Thank you for the jobs you do❤️
First visit there. Took only about 8 min in waiting room. Then in and out almost as fast in treatment room. Great service and very timely. My concers were addressed.
I had gone to the urgent care for a rapid Covid Test on Friday and they were all out of tests . I was told they would have more tomorrow and open at 7:30. My son brought me back Saturday morning and the Nurse Practioner remembered me and came right out with paper work to fill out for a test 8 :00 as soon as I got my results they fit my son in by I Think 9:30. He tested negative but told him probably would test positive in a few days and to get re checked. As it turns out he stated showing symptoms Sunday. My daughter in law went for at test at about 3:00 and she was negative and is still symptom free. The staff was very attentive and professional. I still can’t believe the NP remembered me.

I visited this clinic on Friday after suffering severe muscle cramps from snow shoveling. I was the only person in the waiting room and was promptly seen by the nurse practitioner. She was extremely competent diagnosing my condition and prescribed medication to help me deal with the muscle strain. My primary care practitioner is in Albany so I was delighted to get such professional, effective and immediate help so close to home when I was in so much pain.
My sister and I drove to the Herkimer location because Utica wasn’t taking anymore people for rapid Covid testing. Every person that called us and spoke to us was awesome! The ladies here were lovely. We actually enjoyed our experience and were treated very well. Thanks a lot!
Urgent Care in Herkimer, NY was very organized and helpful for me getting my COVID-19 test today. Process of picking up packets and having a scheduled time was very efficient to see lots of people and I only waited in line for a few minutes each time.
Very kinda I have never had to get the test done and they were very nice about it and calmed me down before taking it
Great experience. Pleasant staff. Just wish the website gave more information as to the process. Once I got there, it went seamlessly but would have been helpful to know what to expect when I arrived.

I was triaged, xrayed, examined and given a brace for my ankle, all within 40 minutes. They were very friendly and efficient and knowledgeable.
I went to Primary Urgent Care in Herkimer for a rapid covid test at 9:30am. They gave me some paperwork to fill out and a time to come back at 1:30. I Got there about 1:25 and was given results 20 minutes later.

I went for a Corona test and the nurse gave me some good info.If Im sick this will always be my first choice to get treatment also they get you in superfast when you have kids thats definitely important.

Showed up to get a rapid test done per mandates of NYS. There is a sign on the door not to come in if suspected COVID with a number. My husband pulled the car up closer so we could read the number. While dialing it a lady that works there approached our car...she did NOT have a mask on. We are under quarrentine and not allowed to leave the vehicle. She immediately started yelling at us that we cant park there because we were blocking the door. She never asked if she could help us or anything else. As I tried to explain to her we were not parking there, just getting the number she continued to keep telling us how we needed to move. As soon as I had the number, we did. When I got ahold of someone inside, I was told they would not be seeing us because we were rude to the worker!!! She told them inside that we were swearing at her!! Anyone that knows us knows this is an absolute LIE since our family does not do that. The director came out. When I tried to explain the situation, he told us the county health doesnt know what they are talking about, that there needs to be 14 days btwn tests, and refused my familys care. My husband has a history of pneumonia and heart issues and has been coughing for more than 2 wks. I just wanted to have his lungs evaluated to ensure he didnt need something more urgent. I also wanted to be seen to clear signs of sinus infection.I absolutely would not recommend this place to anyone!They gave me a hard time the first time I went there as well...when I had to get my initial COVID 19 test done.It is a shame.

2022-01-25I went in for precautionary reasons after an exposure to get a Covid Test. I arrived early around 7:30am & waited in a short line. Paperwork was completed, swab taken & after a brief wait time I was provided with the results of the test. Overall a good experience, but getting there early is key to a quick visit.

2022-03-24This clinic will spring surprise fees on you after your visit. Passing through town I got a COVID test. After being told it would be $225 (already a high number) and paying on site, I received mail demanding an extra $135 of undisclosed new patient fees (no one even spoke with me about my health other than handing me the test result). The clinic will refer you to another number for billing where they do not answer the phone. SCAMMERS - AVOID

2022-01-13I was there with my child for a covid test for him. It took awhile to get the test but it was very very busy so that is out of their control. Once we got in they were very nice and really fast . My son is autistic and he loved the nurses 💙!!
