WellNow Urgent Care in other cities:
I came in yesterday for my first ever visit, because I dont have health insurance and its a VERY big deal for me to go ask for help. I have an extremely rare lung condition and have had it under control for years. I was having a really hard time breathing and had sinus pressure. I told the PA what I have as far as my lungs go, and she knew exactly what it was and how to treat it! She was very helpful and understanding of my condition and that I still have to work to pay my bills (Im self employed). She was very knowledgeable and thorough. I never expected that from an urgent care facility. Only one day into treatment, and Im already feeling a lot better. I will definitely be returning. Everyone was very nice and helpful.
This is the best urgent care center I have ever been to. I arrived feeling very sick and the staff members at the front desk were so pleasant and took me in to an exam room right away. The NP and every single nurse from that point on were extremely kind, professional and helpful. I became more ill while I was receiving an X-ray and so many nurses and staff members came to help me. They were all so caring and compassionate and made a tough situation so much better for me. I highly recommend this office and am so grateful they helped me feel better.
All staff at Well Now were kind, patient, and knowledgeable. Krystyna came in promptly, thoroughly checked my son, listened patiently, promptly ordered testing, clearly explained everything, quickly ordered a prescription, and also offered us to please contact her with any questions or concerns. We couldnt be more satisfied and highly recommend Well Now .
I always receive prompt excellent thorough care at well now, during several visits! I have been impressed and grateful! Staff are courteous, kind, friendly , competent, and compassionate. The facility is well equipped and staffed. I would recommend and encourage any and all to use their services because you would be very well served!
From the moment I was greeted and checked in by Colleen, I felt better about my daughter being very sick. I have ms, and the nurse Colleen and Dr. Matthew Cringe took their time explaining to me and answering questions. They took their time, and did not discharge us until they were satisfied with the treatment they were providing her. It took three nebulizer treatments, and fast acting steroids to get her wheezing under control. It was a very scary time for me, but seeing the care they were giving her , made it all a little less stressful. I would recommend this site to everyone. It is super clean, and this is not our first visit and every time I am beyond impressed. I would make them our primaries if i could
With no appointment, we were accepted, reviewed, placed in a room, examined, tested and released all within an hour.I am over the top pleased with how friendly, caring, empathetic and sympathetic each person was towards us.We had first class employees sharing their professional knowledge and their personal stories with us, which made us both feel so comfortable.I even have the same birthday as one of those people.Sharing is definitely caring.Thank you all very much. 😁Rick and Jo-Ann Scheiner.
We are traveling and I needed medical attention. I chose WellNow Urgent Care in Oneonta. I am so glad I did. They were kind, considerate, thorough and professional. I was in a lot of pain and the person who checked me in noticed and immediately walked me to an exam room once we completed the quick and uncomplicated check in. I highly recommend this clinic and if I ever need medical attention again while visiting I won’t hesitate to return.
Inconsistent treatment and willingness to check people up.About a year and a half ago I came in due to extreme chest pains due to dietary issues, and the doctor who had seen me deduced the issue accurately, prescribed medication, and I recovered in about 3 weeks.More recently, the issue came back, so I had returned to see if i could receive the same treatment again so I could get back to normal. They had refused to see me despite this explanation, and I have since been living with the looming threat that if I am not incredibly cautious with what I eat I will end up feeling like Im having a perpetual heart attack. Even something as simple as a pretzel could cause it. Not fun to live with :[
The Dr. told me to call two days later after being seen, but the good Dr. doesnt realize that no one answers the phone. I was texted a thank you for using our facility with a number given and called it and yet no one answers the phone. It just rings and rings until eventually the call drops. I need my lab test results.
Was told my insurance covered covid testing 1st by well now and then later that I would have to pay out of pocket, checked it with my insurance company was yes it was covered and pm once but denied once also because it was bill twice, was told by well that I would have to pay $ 145 cash for the 2nd test knowing I didnt but had to have the test done 5 days before another surgical procedure that was already scheduled, I decided to scrape it up so I wouldnt lose the scheduled surgery, went back to well now later to request a refund for money I pd that was covered by insurance and was given a phone number to call regarding billing, called the number and a recording said leave info and I would get a call back within a couple days , still no response, so beware !!!
I am new too the area and really took a chance. But was thrilled with the services. I did not have an appointment but the receptionist was wonderful and squeezed me in. I only waited around 15 minutes to see the PA who was courteous, professional and informative. The environment was clean, and bright. I highly recommend this agency.
My youngest son had either something in his eye or something scratched his eye from outdoors and it happened after hours - difficult to get a dr appt that late and not really an emergency to take to the emergency room - Well Now is the perfect, convenient, and appropriate place for just such incidents. We did not have to wait long and the people are incredible (everyone who works there). He didn’t have to worry and got great care there - highly recommend them! Is perfect for our area.
Had a visit at WellNow Care on Wednesday. I have never been to this site in the past however would definitely return again if needed. There was a line outside of walkins waiting to be seen yet the staff remained calm and professional. They were all extremely polite and friendly. I was greeted with a smile by all. Highly recommend WellNow Care 😀
I tried to call for an appointment for a covid test. Got calls from Aspen Dental next door to come in after booking. Took a covid test. I want an explanation of the test. Automated message only. I called Aspen Dental and they claim it is a different business. They will run a message over. I need to take another test as I get no response and no way to get a hold of them. Shameful the way they treated me. Dont bother answering this review with a lame response. I will contact my insurance company and NYS Health Department. Give up your location to a Healthcare business that wants to help people!
I had the best experience here with my son for his school physical. Cindy and Barbara were exceptionally patient and accommodating to my son with special needs who is terrified of doctors or any procedures. They worked with him and were able to examine him almost completely which is no small feat. I can’t thank them enough for using their creativity and wonderful caring attitude to make him more comfortable.
I had a delightful experience at WellNow Urgent Care! I was fortunate enough to walk in during an unusually slow time and was seen immediately. The staff were uniformly pleasant and professional and although it was not a particularly complicated problem (some stitches removed) I felt that the staff would have been equally competent with more difficult issues . I was also very pleasantly impressed by the immaculate and attractive facility. Thank you WellNow,Karen S. Richardson-Henley RN, LCSW-R
This place is so organized and caring. The nurses are very considerate. And my experience with the PA, Barb Perry, was excellent. She was thorough and took quite a bit of time to address my concerns. I left with a plan for a long term problem I’ve had. I highly recommend this establishment!
Unfortunately, we had to make a trip to Urgent Care tonight for stitches for our three year old. Mike the medical assistant went above and beyond to make sure my son was happy and comfortable. Karen, the provider, was also great. We are very thankful and appreciative of the great care we received at Well Now.
I needed to visit WellNow Urgent care the other day and I can say the care and staff were top notch. My family has used urgent care a number of times over the years and have always had similar experiences. Helpful, courteous staff, thorough evaluations, reasonably quick service because of the way scheduling works, you aren’t waiting in the lobby forever and if you’re care requires for more attention than they are equipped for you are referred to the ER. So there’s no guessing about whether your care warranted a trip to the ER. Thank you WellNow Urgent Care and staff for being such a valuable healthcare resource in our community.
Me and my husband had rapid Covid testing done. Appointments were available for the following day but we needed to be tested and get results the same day. We were walk ins and had to wait as expected. We were given clear instructions by receptionists as far as what to do when we arrived, where to wait and next steps ie registration than finally going right into an open exam room. Very organized. The nurse that did our nasal swab was so kind and gentle. Nurse practitioner was great. So happy we chose to go to WellNow Urgent Care.
Fast and kind service. They werent particularly busy when I arrived so I didnt have to wait to get a room. Then it was just about 10 minutes while the PA finished with someone else. Way faster than a visit to the ER and it was nothing life threatening just emergent discomfort from an earphone tip that became lodged deep in my ear so urgent care was a better choice. While COVID is still a threat you are only allowed single visitors for adults (i.e. your spouse isnt allowed in the room with you). I would assume that children can be accompanied by a parent or guardian but this wasnt my case so I dont know for sure. They are well operated and everyone certainly knows their job. Anything thats not life threatening but an emergency, please go to urgent care instead of the ER. The bill will be less for you and the ER wont be overloaded with non emergencies.SummaryPrice/value: 5/5 (accepted my insurance)Staff: 5/5 (very pleasant and fun to talk to)Cleanliness: 5/5 (everything was very clean and well maintained)Accessibility: 4/5 (no powered entry door and the vestibule would probably be difficult to maneuver with assistive equipment, once inside it is great. Wife doors, no thresholds. I didnt use the restroom but I would assume it is easily accessible)
Terrible. Showed up exposed to recent variant of Covid and will not test me because I am asymptomatic. Someone call the cdc they have infected people walking out of urgent cares. The guy at the front acts like hes giving away his own test and its a bargain. This is why people are dying. Bald man power trip. Wow1/4 I TESTED *POSITIVE* SO ANYONE WHO WAS IN WELL NOW LAST NIGHT HEARING THE MAN ARGURE WITH ME AND TELL ME I COULD HAVE NO TEST SHOULD KNOW
I love this place! The people are friendly and I feel confident that they know what they are doing. A bit too cold in the patient rooms, but once I let them know, I was given a nice warm blanket. I was there for chest congestion, a bronchitis as it turns out. They tested me for COVID-19 with a rapid 15 min test. I knew I was negative before I left. Thanks for the good care! 😊
Urgent Care in Oneonta is a wonderful place to go if you’re in need of medical attention.Beginning at the front desk with friendly, efficient staff to the medical assistant I met with yesterday, a young man named Chris who was efficient, kind and caring. Then came Barbara Perry who not only listened but took time to diagnose my condition, made me laugh and confirmed I was definitely in the right place. This is the third time I’ve been to Urgent Care in Oneonta; I’ve never had a bad experience; always get the best care and am always treated so well.Even with Covid still lingering about they manage to treat everyone with respect and kindness; my daughter feels the same way. If only hospitals could follow their lead.Thank you, all of you who helped me yesterday.Linda M. Klosset
The staff at WellNow in Oneonta deserve a pat on the back for the way they handled a mass of patients in a very short time period with no notice. (I’m sure it must have brought back memories of the COVID testing surge.) Everyone was professional and kind amid the rush, which is much appreciated. Scheduling was easy, the text messages with directions were clear and the staff were so calm it seemed like they could have carried this all out during a hurricane with no sweat. Thank you WellNow!
Rapid testing! What a phenomenal experience! I made my appointment online, early the morning of, and arrived 10 minutes early; I was called in at my appointment time and seen promptly. The staff there are well seasoned, abided by safety guidelines, friendly with treatment and I had my results within an hour. I couldnt have asked for a better experience. My nurse was gentle with my children and informative. I would recommend this urgent care to EVERYONE. ONEONTA THANK YOU
Covid rules for travel change daily, especially for international travel. With unexpected requirements that no pharmacy could accommodate, I needed an appt and 24 hr turn around. Just visiting thjs area, this urgent care was recommended to me. The staff was accommodating, professional and very assuring of their ability to get this process completed and followed thru getting me results in 10 hrs. Thank you for getting me to Germany to see my soldier son, it is truly appreciated.
My experience with Well Now was really great and fast! Check in was easy and I was taken right away! The Medical Assistant who treated me was super nice, kind, helpful, aware, genuine, sweet, and gentle!!!! The exam room that I waited in was super clean and professional! They have a really well organized check in system and I feel like I can trust them if I need to go back. I hope that they remain open in Oneonta NY!
This was my first time at Well Now and it will be my Urgent Care of Choice from now on. Easy to get my place and estimated time in line on their online sight before I left my home. I was greeted by 2 lovely receptionists. The waiting room itself is immaculate and welcoming. My nurse, Jen, was very kind. My PA, Barbara Perry, was very caring, listening to me and going over my situation in full, and offered to have my visit forwarded to my specialist in Albany. And finally, the receptionist took her time at check out with me.Overall a 10+ experience.
WellNow Urgent Care is one of the best facilities I have ever visited outside of NJ.Nurse practioner Krystyna Koryzma was extremely professional and kind. She answered all my questions and is very knowledgeable.I will be sure to recommend WellNow to all my family and friends.
I made the appt at the urgent care today for the purpose of dental pain that neither my pcp or dentist would address. I am currently waiting for an extraction. I have already been placed on antibiotics and have been taking otc medications as recommended without any relief. The staff were all very friendly & I didn’t have a long wait time, but when I saw the provider, she told me that she no longer had the ability to prescribe narcotics as she had let her license expire. She actually said that there was only one prescriber in the clinic that had the ability to prescribe narcotics. So, she was not able to help me with anything to alleviate the pain that I am currently in. I find it very hard to believe that an urgent care would employ practitioners that do not have the ability to prescribe any form of pain medication.... I understand the whole opioid epidemic we are currently in, but there are times when pain medications are needed, and especially at places like urgent cares, one would think that the provider would have the ability to prescribe medications when they are warranted. I obviously left disappointed and still in pain.
3 stars because I came in and had my issue resolved and also in no way felt judged or uncomfortable about my issue, which is always comforting as the patient!! I wanted to give 2 stars because I felt like I waited a really long time to be seen even after scheduling an appointment time and also while I was in my room..BUT I cant complain too much because everyone was kind and helped me resolve my issue. Although, because you had to wait in your car, I did my registering online (verify ID, insurance etc.) to avoid doing it inside, BUT when the provider was sending my prescription to the pharmacy they mistakenly spelled my name wrong so by the time I reached the pharmacy they could not give it to me because the patient name was spelled incorrect by the doctor and could not give me an incorrect label) WORK SMARTER, NOT HARDER. Inconveniently, the pharmacy was about to go to lunch and could not start my new medicine until they returned so I had to wait! Took about 45 min for the entire process of me getting my medicine after already seeing the doctor because the doctor spelled my name wrong. I was really upset, but it was out of my control. WellNow Urgent Care staff were very nice and made me very comfortable. It was just the minor things that could have been improved.
I went yesterday with my daughter to get bloodwork done for Covid testing and was super impressed! They were very organized and handled our paperwork and medical information quickly and efficiently. The office was very clean and bright. The two nurses that took our blood were so kind and patient with questions and keeping us calm and smiling. My daughter sometimes faints and she was very nervous and light headed.. The sincere concern they had for her made me a little teary. They really took time and effort to make her experience as pleasant as possible. I highly recommend this place mostly because of these two wonderful nurses.
Very friendly service at this urgent care. I am a student and wanted to get a test before returning home. They answered all my questions before I made an hour drive to their office. Their medical professionals had me in and out with a rapid test result in very little time. I highly recommend this place for rapid covid 19 testing.
I wish I could give them 0 stars. I understand we are in the middle of a pandemic but it shouldnt take me 3+ hours to get tested. I got here at 11:13 am. The front desk receptionist said no longer than 30 minutes. I got another call at 1:19 stating it will only be an additional 30-45 minutes. Its now 2:31 and I have yet to be tested or receive a phone call. Absolutely ridiculous. Tell me its going to be a few hours. Not 30 minutes. Nothing worse than waiting when youre sick. Feels like forever.*Ive never written a review before. Took a lot for me to do this.
So I brought my son(7) here monday afternoon, we were told it would be a 2 hour wait, okay fine. 2 hours pass, and they tell us within the hour. Nope. Nearly 4 hours pass and he’s finally seen. That’s not even the worst part. They misdiagnosed him and we ended up in the ER on Friday. While the doctors are very nice I do not trust them after this incident. Much faster to go to ER at this point.
I really appreciate their willingness to deal with workers comp when my own primary care won’t anymore. Everyone was kind and caring and thorough. I really appreciate that.I have taken my children to Well Now several times in the last year largely for COViD testing to determine if my boys had COVID vs stomach bug or a run of the mill virus etc. They are always swamped with patients but they are honest and if there is a 30 minute wait or an hour they are spot on. They have been great with all 3 of my boys. My youngest is on the autism spectrum and can get quite loud and they stay positive, kind and patient. This is so important as he has been through some really hard stuff medically and needs some good experiences to build trust back up.
All the staff, starting with reception through the physicians assistant, were very professional and also very personable at WellNow Urgent Care. The wait time was minimal. From start to finish I was at Well Now approximately 40 minutes. It was a much more pleasant experience than going to a hospital emergency room.
Fairly quick. They were accurate about timing and ready for me when they sai they would be. Receptionist, Technicians and Nurses were all very helpful, knowledgeable and professional. I was very satisfied and impressed. All Covid protocols appeared to be in place and being followed. If I have the need again, I would go back.
Ive been twice with my young daughter, both times late on Sunday evenings. Facility is clean and orderly, staff is pleasant and we were attended to promptly with professionalism, courtesy and compassion. Based on my two experiences, I highly recommend this facility for people needing help with minor illness.
While I was forced to wait for almost 3 hours to be seen yesterday I dont blame the nurses and PAs for my wait. With covid, it is expected to take longer. Once I was seen staff was friendly, caring and speedy in helping to diagnose and prescribe my antibiotics. Thanks ladies and keep up the good work! We appreciate you all!
We reaches at 8:01pm and they wouldnt let us in. We had called ahead twice stating we are getting there as fast as we can and will be there right at the buzzer. But 1 minute was too much for them and they locked the doors. This is after giving lot of business to them since theyve open this location in Oneonta.
Being a health care provider myself we are always the last to seek help for any ailment thinking we can tough it out or heal ourselves but in my instance I needed to be seen for treatment. The provider that treated me was professional and very knowledgeable as well as the others that took part in my visit to Well Now. The community here is very fortunate to have an urgent care such as this one keep up the good work and thank you for the quality treatment I received.
So happy! 12-hr same day turn around for PCR Covid test (needed for international travel to London) PCR tests normally take 1-3 biz days for results. Rite Aid offers free PCR test but they can only guarantee 1-3 biz days for results which is tough when you have a flight oversea! WellNow promised 12-24hr. It took 20-mins to get swabbed. I booked an apt but they take walk-ins. London offers nothing like this so I’m pleased NY offers this service. Fully billed to United Healthcare too
I came here because I have/had bronchitis and my experience altogether was nothing short but amazing. Megan the person who registered me in was sweet and delightful. I was taken into my exam room pretty much immediately. The nurses were talkative and amusing dispite me not feeling well. Dr Henderson was my doctor and she very informative of my condition and of the medications she prescribed to me. I wish this was my primary care office and Ill recommend EVERYONE to come her for there urgent matters. The whole staff was excellent and I couldnt be more grateful for my experience here. Keep up the great work.
I went to Five Star Urgent Care this morning after my primary doctor had no availability and another walk-in simply passed me off and said to go to the ER for something I knew I didnt need the ER for. The receptionist was quick and professional. The facility is amazingly clean and offers a lot for entertainment during your wait. However I really had no wait because they got me right in. The the nurse and the PA that I saw were both so pleasant and thorough. I decided on the spot that any future Urgent Care visits for me or my family will be at Five Star Urgent Care.
DO NOT GET YOUR COVID TEST HERE. I needed a Covid test before I was able to return to school so I researched the many options of places to get tested. Noting that most were free, I went ahead with the location nearest me, WellNow. What I thought would be an easy process of checking in online to get in line and then driving down the road to get tested turned out to be anything but. I logged on to schedule my appointment around 8AM and the soonest appointment was at 1:24PM. I went ahead and booked the appointment and was set to leave about 20 minutes before. Right when I was walking out the door I got a text message that my appointment was delayed 45 minutes. I thought no worries I can wait a little longer I’m sure there are a lot of people getting tested. When it came time to leave again for my appointment, I got another text message that my appointment was delayed 30 minutes. I was honestly getting a little frustrated but decided to just wait at home and then go to the office and talk with someone. With the time came again to leave the house, I got another message that my appointment was still delayed. I arrived at the facility and waited for someone to help me only to find out they were actually delayed three hours and someone would be calling me when it was time for my appointment. I had a few other things to do so I decided to not let it bother me and just come back in three hours and wait for the call. I needed to get a test that day. When four hours had passed and no phone call, I stopped by again to see what was going on. I talked with another woman at the front desk and she said she could get me in right away. I handed them my ID and insurance and was finally relieved that I was getting a test. I asked them if there was an office visit fee since I would be seeing a doctor, but knew the test was covered (the website says “Testing is covered in full for patients that carry insurance as part of the Cares Act”). The woman informed me that it would be $200 unless my insurance covered the test because the cares act had expired. I informed her that the WellNow website said that the test was covered by my insurance through the Cares Act. That’s why I picked this location instead of going to one of the other free spots to get tested. They asked me to call my insurance to see if it was covered and they insurance office was closed. I asked to speak to a manager and was told there was not one there. I asked for anyone I could talk to. Their website was proving false advertising. The nice people at the front were very kind and said they had veen asking management to take the blurb out that tests were covered and management hasn’t listened. Jess, the manager called and spoke with me. She was frankly quite rude, unapologetic, and blamed me for not reading the site correctly. I explained the entire story to her and all she had to say was that the Cares Act had expired and that the tests were covered but would not explain why the information was still on the site. This further proved to me that they were trying to scam their way into getting as many appointments in a day as possible with false advertising to deceive people that do not ask questions. I would have let this all go if I would not have been treated the way I was by Jess, but I hope this keeps some people from having the experience I did.
Love the convenience of being able to set up a appointment time online (put on the list). For a first time visit it was very quick with zero paperwork everything done right on the computer when you check in and they got me right in to a comfy room with even a little TV and an offer to dim the lights to take a nap while I waited for the doctor 😂. As far as waiting for the doctor the wait time was a fraction of that any surrounding Bassett facility I have been too. Loved the genuine being cared about feeling being a human patient in there with a problem and not just a wallet to pay the bill. Kathleen Henderson PA saw me and she was fantastic no BS, straightforward, explained every little bit and answered every question. Gave clear understandable discharge instructions and even highlighted the important stuff... Literally. I hope not to be back (health wise), but definitely know where I will be going from now on with any urgent problems!Unfortunately had to go back due to other issues and still the same great review. Love the place. Amy Summers saw me this time and she was just as wonderful, caring, and understanding!
What an exceptional urgent care. The lobby and waiting area was extremely clean and the staff very helpful. Wendy and Barbara were so pleasant and their cheerful demeanor seemed healing in itself! I have recommended this location already and will be back should I have a need.
This was a great experience! My 3 year old was complaining of an earache, we stopped in and everything was very clean, inviting and efficient! Dr. Barb and the nurse still made my little man comfortable and the whole process was no biggie!!! Beautiful facility and the Icee machine was a nice touch!
Upon entry, this establishment was so clean and the receptionist very sweet. After I was greeted by the most kind and professional nurses and finally by a PA that was very thorough and helpful. I left feeling better and with a birthday letter and gift card. Hands down - the best and most helpful urgent care I have ever visited.
As I work and study within the healthcare industry....I am constantly critiquing the facilities Im involved with. As a patient, WellNow Urgent Care is far superior to any clinical experience I have had! The clinical team is fantastic ! The front desk staff, Im sure must be part of the clinical team as well, because the front team was just as informative as the clinical folks! Being open after 5 PM is awesome. Oh, the PA Ms. Henderson so humble and helpful. The WellNow Clinic is truly a blessing to Oneonta.Thank you.Leta Pasternak
Had to visit this urgent care while on vacation. The entire staff was super nice and friendly. I was embarrassed about the reason for me needing to see them, they didn’t judge me. They knew I was concerned and they wanted to make sure I was ok. It also was so fast to be seen. I highly recommend you visiting this urgent for any of your medical needs. Thanks ladies for taking care of me ❤️
First I like to say thank you for being open on Thanksgiving. I was in a nearby town visiting family for the holiday. I arrived at Wellnow urgent care at 11 am and I was greeted by a receptionist who signed me in as a new patient when we were finished she took me to a patient room and said a nurse would be in shortly. Minutes later a nurse came in and took my family history and vitals minutes after the nurse was done the doctor came in and we talked than she checked me out and made a diagnosis. The doctor prescribed some medications and she explained them to me. My prescription were sent to a local pharmacy. In and out 20 to 25 minutes.
Everyone was incredibly friendly! They were great with my nervous 3 year old! Offered us something to drink while we waited for the NP but we didn’t even get a chance to drink it because she came right in! Quick and efficient. It took longer to get the prescription at Walmart than it did for the entire urgent care visit! Wouldn’t hesitate to go again, or recommend to someone else!
WellNow in Oneonta was a lifesaver. Went there the morning before Thanksgiving for a COVID rapid test after having to travel out of state for a funeral. The staff was extremely efficient, pleasant and very professional. The facility was very clean. I would highly recommend this facility.
First visit to this facility and wow! They are there when you need them! As usual, unable to get a Bassett appointment. Scheduled an appointment for THAT DAy, with no issues, preregistered on line and no wait when we got there. Staff was pleasant and efficient Very pleased with whole experience
Came in for convenient care for an injury to avoid the ER. The pain wasn’t bad enough for the ER so I figured the clinic will do because it doesnt require an appointment, just to register via QR code outside. I registered at 12:00 and was quoted a four to five hour wait. Long, but I understand with Covid. I waited in their parking lot as they instructed me not to leave and I saw several people in and out, waiting my turn. Five hours rolls around, and no contact so I called and they said that it would be another 45min-1 hour before they could get me in the building and then it would be another two to three hour wait on top of that to finally be seen because I wasn’t being teated for Covid. I don’t live in town, so to drive into Oneonta to wait five hours, to then only be told I need to wait an additional 3-4 by one of the only walk in facilities in my area was ridiculous. At that point I made an appt. with OSS for the next day and went home.
Four of us needed to get a test ASAP and a friend of mine told me they were doing them in Oneonta New York. And we went there and explained exactly what they needed from us we waited in the car until they called us in to do the test and they said they’d let us know within 15 minutes and we got our results as we were told. I thought they did a very good job there everyone was courteous and polite.
I came here (5 hours from home) for a rapid Covid test on my way back from vacation. Upon arrival I was told the wait was 3 hours since I hadnt checked in online in advance. I was able to find a regular check in online (with no wait) but was unable to find a Covid specific online checkin, so that part might be able to be made more clear on the website. However, they got me in for my appointment in half the time estimated, so it ended up not being a horrible wait time all things considered. The test was fast wags painless, and the staff were all very pleasant.
Incredibly poor customer service. I came in with a rash on my torso and back. Dr Kathleen Henderson prescribed a small tube of steroid cream which was to be applied 4 times a day for 10 days. Of course the tube ran out after 2 days since it was a large rash. I then called to get the prescription refilled and since the doctor who saw me was out of office they had the in-office doctor take a look at my chart. It turns out they neglected to put that the rash had spread from my back to my chest and they accused me of lying. Debbie the receptionist was then incredibly rude and actually hung up the phone on me! I was literally just trying to get help for a rash. The next day I also noticed that the cream wasnt effective and wondered if maybe at least they could increase the strength from the lowest strength which they prescribed .025% to .1% or anything stronger. They then were super rude to me again claimed it was the strongest strength cream (which it wasnt) and refused to refill the prescription. Since it was a holiday I then asked if the doctor who saw me could give me a call back when she was in office and she then said something along the lines of I am not allowed to give out that information. I literally just wanted the doctor who had seen me to call me back....she then hung up on me AGAIN when I stressed the urgency of needing stronger cream (they are after all named Urgent care.) Do not come here if you want a professional experience with a doctor, apparently they will mess up your chart and mis-prescribe medicine and then refuse to rectify the issue they themselves created.
From the moment I walked into the door until I left it was an truly 5 star treatment. The labs they drew only took 15 minutes vs. Hours/days at a ER. Thanks to Liz, Wendy, and Dr. Barbara Perry for a great experience! Thats my plan e from now on when I need health care. (My primary care Doctor is a hour and a half away).
Christa was amazing and comforting to my son when he had to have a foreign body removed from his foot. Instead of dragging him to the hospital where it would be a long wait and a more scary environment, she said she would give it a try. With her previous experience in orthopedic surgery I felt comfortable and so did my son. We will absolutely return for any emergent needs. Thank you again for your professionalism, caring, and kindness!!
I made my appointment and drove an hour and a half here. I arrived on time checked in and an hour later called them. At that point they told me it would be another hour!Horrible! I have to pick up kids and now I can’t because this place does not have the capacity to administer covid 19 rapid test.Plain and simple wellnow lacks the ability to do rapid covid tests. Do not come here
I had a tick bite and needed to be seen but I also had shopping I needed to do in Oneonta which is 30 minutes away from me. I had never been there before, they took my information and put me in a room immediately. I was examined quickly and thoroughly by two professional staff and sent on my way. I couldn’t have had a better experience!!!
They took me right in with no wait. Had a sinus infection but they did a Covid test for precaution. I waited no more that 15 minutes for the negative result. They prescribed me an antibiotic and off I went. Fast Civid test results for people who dont want to miss work. Thanks for you speedy and friendly assistance.
From someone who felt very sick for long time, this place made me feel extremely comfortable as soon as I walked in. While they had arcade games, TV’s, and even a slushee machine while you wait in the waiting room, there were also TV’s in the examination rooms. The best part though was the service. Never have I ever been to a doctor’s office where everyone was as friendly and easy to talk to, the way that they were. I left there with a solution to my sickness and a great mood.
I arrived late morning, on a Saturday. There was 1 person ahead of me. The wait was said to be about 40 minutes, but I was triaged almost immediately. The nurse put me in an exam room, offered me a snack and beverage (I had water i had brought). The PA was in within 20 minutes. She checked me over and told me in terms I could understand what the plan of care was. I had to get in office treatment, and waited about 20 minutes for that. The PA was very honest about the treatment (what to expect), as well as very thorough. The medical team explained all at home care instructions, and what to look for if my condition were to get worse. Later that evening, when I was at home, the PA called to see how I was doing.
My son had a neck injury and we arrived at the facility an hour before closing so I was skeptical as to what the procedures would be. Each and every staff member went above and beyond for my son and it was a very impressive experience. I would recommend this facility whole heartedly.
This place honestly doesnt deserve one star if i could give less I would. I was charged nearly $200 for a covid test back in november and they wouldnt take my insurance to pay for it, and have still not been reimbursed for the money, i wouldnt recommend a visit here if you were bleeding out and it was the last place to go theyll just charge you a ridiculous amount
10 for sure. Even tho it was close to closing, we received a smile and hello from all of the ladies present. They did not make me feel as if I was a bother. I was treated as if my care was their priority. I am thankful for their positive, professional attitude and care. Thank you to all of the ladies at Well Now, in Oneonta, N.Y.Sheri 🐴
I went to urgent care because I felt that I had been improperly diagnosed by another doctors office. I’m so glad I came to urgent care and trusted my instincts because they got me in and out within half an hour with the correct diagnosis of strep. Thank you urgent care for being so efficient and helpful.
They got me in and out within an hour. I was sick for two weeks and went to the Suny Oneonta health center multiple times, they didnt know what was wrong. I finally came here and I was treated and found out the cause. The staff are very friendly and genuine. If youre an oneonta student do not waste your time go here please so you dont get misdiagnosed. Its worth the bus trip because they know what theyre doing!
The were kind and understanding. They didnt make us feel like a number or an inconvenience. They treated us like we were a priority as well as our daughter who was being seen. We didnt have to wait and they let my son have a slushie even though he wasnt the one being treated.
I went in experiencing some pretty serious pain. The team in Oneonta responded very quickly and addressed the problem quickly and professionally. They even offered me a snack after the procedure! I would recommend their services to anyone who needs prompt, non-emergency services. Thank you!
These guys are an absolute joke. They are great for taking your money, but they *never* fill out the paperwork for things like prior authorizations on time, or well, ever. Even with pharmacies and insurance companies calling them to remind them MULTIPLE TIMES A DAY they still won’t do their jobs. So yeah. Free slushy machine in the lobby, sheer sloth as far as actual care goes.
I origionally gave them a 10 out of 10 rating. Wish I can take that back. They were great at first and I bragged them up. But they never followed through with any referrals. Told me that I didnt have physical therapy referral when the paper right in front of me said I did and they even provided me a number to call physical therapy to make my own appointment. Will never recommend 5 star urgent care to anyone. In fact I let people know just what I think and I dont get good feed back from their experiences either. Maybe stop investing in TVs in each patient room and Pac-Man machines and slushies machines and pay more attention to your clients needs. Its not vacation.
Went in for a COVID19 test, I was told that it was an out of pocket expense and so I paid 110.00. About 2 weeks later I get an invoice saying that my insurance owes 200 dollars and I owe another 35 dollars. This company is nasty and doesnt disclose all information, just robs people. Dont go here
Highway robbery. I went in Tuesday because I wasnt feeling well and my chief conplaint wasnt addresses at all. I was just given antibiotics and sent away. I never took the antibiotics and my problem ended up clearing on its own so I know I was misdiagnosed. I was seen by Laura Miner RPA-C and she had the worst bedside manner Ive ever dealt with. My coworker went the same day and had a very similar experience. If you want to pay $100 or more just to get a prescription for antibiotics than this place is perfect for you. I will never return.
This place is really nice. I visited on a Saturday morning - no wait. It’s just a really nice place. Great experience. They have coffee, slusheesin waiting room and TV in the exam room while you wait. It’s an extremely clean establishment. The Oneonta location is open 7 days 8 am to 8 pm. 10 stars.
Barb P was AMAZING,,,, the computer system was down today,,, so they were working old fashion off paper charts writing things down ,,, all so upbeat about it all too! She read my xray,, that I was not very co-operative on,,, and called it spot on,,,, got treatment started right away. So sorry I cant remember everyones name,,, but they were all fantastic and truly cared about my comfort.
I have been here since 10:30 am, for an appointment that was scheduled 3weeks ago and they still havent taken me in almost 3 hours later. I had other appointments and had to reschedule everything, everyone went on lunch so im still waiting. I wish there was another way.

2022-03-19We needed a Covid Test for our cruise. The test had to be done two days prior to departure. We saw that Well Now offered the test. We were very pleased from the moment we walked in till we received the results eight hours later. Staff was friendly and efficient. Communication for the results were excellent. I highly recommend this facility and will definitely use them again. Thank you.

2022-06-27Beware!! They are closed!! They still let you make appointments, their appointment system still reminds you to check in & tells you when to come in from the car.. but, THEY ARE CLOSED.. I am from out of state and drove 45 minutes to get to my appointment. There should be penalties for such poor management. If they cant even get this right, would you really trust them with your health??

2022-02-23I brought my 3 year old grandson to Well Now Urgent care this week. This is the second time weve done this. On both occasions we were instructed to bring him right in. The staff there are courteous and professional. I would highly recommend anyone to use this top notch facility.

2022-06-29I had a UTI, I called my doctors office, they couldn’t see me for at least 2 weeks. I called Urgent Care, I had to make an appointment, there first availability was 5 hours later. I walked into WellNow, and saw a provider immediately!!! Great experience.

2022-03-12Making an appointment from my phone was easy! I knew before I got there what # I was in the queue. I was escorted into an exam room directly from check in and from nurse intake to provider assessment and check out was less than 15 minutes. The nurse and NP listened to my report of symptoms and what measures I had taken at home to alleviate the problem. Prescription sent to pharmacy and out the door! Thank you, Well Now!

2022-01-24Very professional and friendly from the moment we walked into the Well now Urgent Care clinic. Super staff and nurses. They really listen, which is rare in the profession these days. Highly recommended, and would not hesitate to use them again.

2022-07-05WellNow Urgent Care was a fantastic example of efficiency and professionalism. Made my appointment on line, arrived on time and was notified to enter, checked in, saw the PA and doctor and was back in my car in 30 minutes. Plus they had texted my prescriptions to Walmart which was just across the highway — they were ready 10 minutes after I got there. This treatment is what we should all receive — especially when you are feeling unwell!!

2022-05-26Huge shout out to the PA who agreed to see us at the end of the day. I cannot even begin to say how much I appreciate it! I have literally never had a bad experience here and that still continues they are great with my kids and just really really really good people.
