Wells gave me my voice, inspired possibilities. At Wells, I not only refined the core concrete skills which have enabled me to have a fruitful, rewarding and long (still going) career, I also found the courage to branch out on a life of continuous learning to play the global roles I have so greatly enjoyed.
Choosing Wells College was the best decision of my life. The education, community and environment shaped me into the professional and person I am today.

Beautiful campus and great liberal arts school. It is worth it to just drive through campus even in if you arent in the market for a college.

Do not trust them to safegaurd your valuables. My son was there as the road team and while they were playing their phones and wallets were stolen from the locker room.Keep everything with you .
A beautiful place to go to school. Many good opportunities can be found for students here compared to other places.
Not a place for city folk, but still beautiful. The lake view is very nice, as well as a select few of the buildings.

2021-07-15I attended Wells planning to stay only a year or so, then transfer to a larger university. But I fell in love with the place, the people, the challenge, and the opportunity. So happily stayed for four years. Now, years later, friendships remain, life choices were strongly influenced by Wells and the family I became part of there. The quality of education was incredibly strong (I later pursued a career in higher education and discovered how many opportunities I had at Wells that simply are not part of the usual college experience.)

2021-07-17The stunning campus was just the right size for me - enough people to have a variety of experiences, not so many as to feel lost in a crowd. I got close to professors, participated in sports, theatre, and social activities, and spent a year studying in Europe. I was well prepared for the work world, I still have friends I made during college, and I thoroughly enjoyed my 4 years at Wells.

2021-06-16Im a member of the class of 2005. Wells College provided me with an amazing education and experience. Class sizes are small and you get to work closely with professors on your education. The setting is gorgeous and right on the lake, making you feel like you live in paradise. While it may seem remote, there are shuttle vans going to Ithaca every few hours so even if you dont have a car you can access shops and groceries easily. The friendships I made at Wells still remain strong to this day 16 years later and will last a lifetime. Do yourself a favor and take a look at Wells for your undergraduate education. It truly is one of a kind!

2021-07-08I may be biased as a current employee (I work in the advancement office with our alums) but I loved my experience as a student at Wells from 2002-2006. This is a great college if you want small class sizes, a BEAUTIFUL campus, and lots of opportunities to be creative with your extracurricular activies & chances to be a leader. There are lots of special traditions, wonderful faculty and staff, and simply the best sunsets around. It is more convenient if you have a car as Ithaca, Auburn, and Syracuse are between 30-60 minutes away- my advice is to definitely visit campus and know that rural New York gives you lots of opportunities to make your own fun. Wells is special and I would do it all over again if could! Definitely worth checking out!

2021-07-06I have played their golf course on several occasions. What a great course! Only 9 holes but it makes you think on each hole.Fairways are good but new management is making it better. Greens are great! Well kept, they hold a good approach shot, and putt true.Sand traps are under improvement. Waiting to try one out.

2021-07-16My 4 years at Wells College flew by!! I remember thinking as I was getting ready for graduation, that it seemed like only a few days ago that I had first set foot on campus. The friends I met and made have continued to sustain me. Whenever I reach out to classmates, its as if time has stood still and were right back on campus: hiking up the hill to early morning field hockey practices, gathering in the gym to watch and cheer on the Odd/Even basketball teams, taking a seat in a classroom for an in depth discussion of Shakespeare, filing onto the risers in Barler Hall for a Christmas choir concert, meetings in the dorm with the RAs and ice cream, exam treats in the dining hall, coming together from all over campus when the bells in Main toll time for meals. So many happy memories!!! Wells is a place to be cherished and where lifes adventures are given a springboard to reality!

2021-07-15This gem of a school taught me to speak truth to power, make my own way, and stand tall on the shoulders of the sisters who came before, as the future sisters will surely stand on mine. A deep respect for tradition and an eye to the future make for a unique college experience. I know Wells is much of the reason I went on to vet school and practice ownership.
