We went for pumpkin and a chicken bbq. Also ended up with site made maple syrup.. A fun, tasty fall trip.
They almost lost a star because they claim they cook chicken perfectly not raw and not overdone but mine was a little dry. Wont stop me from going back though The potato salad and coleslaw I had with it was extraordinary

Fantastic chicken BBQ every weekend all summer long, awesome maple products, and great pumpkin selection and fall festivity experience every year.
We go here every other weekend, its a 45 minute drive. Best BBQ chicken, low cost and you can buy whole chicken for cooking at home, its better than supermarket.
Wendel’s is the most amazing home town chicken farm in WNY. Product is amazing, prices are amazing, service is amazing! Support them they deserve it!

Awesome chicken BBQ on the weekends.Their sauce is our favorite.Anytime we grill chicken we have to have their sauce.The staff is friendly and helpful.

2020-10-03Great fall family fun! Had a nice little afternoon with the family at Wendels Poultry Farm. We had some popcorn and cider while we strolled around looking at all the huge pumpkins before making our selections. Took a nice long hayride with Wanda the witch, through the farm and surrounding woods that they had decorated for Halloween (spooky but not scary, our kids our 3 and 16 months and they really enjoyed it, there was even some Sesame street characters in the woods they loved!). Then finished up with some of the most delicious and tender Chicken BBQ weve ever had! Grabbed some more cider to go, and took the 50min scenic drive back home.(*COVID safety was adhered to: They took extra care to mark off appropriate social distance spacing, Masks were worn by staff and they ask visitors to as well and all that were there that we saw complied, they had hand sanitizer stations all over...everything was very well done!)This was our first experience at their farm and we will certainly be back, looking forward to making this a fall family tradition every year! Thank you for putting together a nice, clean, safe family friendly destination for Fall FUN!

2021-11-22Stood in line for 15 to 20 minutes outside to pick up a fresh turkey that I ordered. It was cold and windy. Once inside, moved quickly through. Pricey but fresh turkeys are usually worth it.

2021-08-20This rating would be Zero stars, if possible.First impression is everything. The first impression horrible, to put it politely.I walk in around 3pm, nobody is around, no big deal. 15 seconds later the phone rings. A lady comes out of the back and doesnt answer the phone for whatever reason. She had to see me, I was standing in front of the door to the back. Not a word was said and she returned to the back.I drove 40 minutes to get ghosted. I know you have good poultry, Ive had it before. Youre customer service absolutely sucked

2018-11-30Wonderfully helpful and friendly staff, and fresh natural chicken at great prices. They packaged and held soup bones for me, and I picked up a roaster while we were there. Well definitely be back. May have to get our turkey there next year!

2018-02-15I finally decided to upgrade our sugar bush to tubing but I had no idea what to do. Nick and his staff were absolutely incredible in their professionalism and willingness to help me understand what I needed and walked me through the process step-by-step. Great prices and a local shop. I cant express enough how incredible they are at Wendels. Looking forward to working with them for years to come.

2018-11-25Beautiful building! Clean. Kitchen roomy and serving area large & attractive w french type doors. Very cute. First time Id been in the party building. Very cool place for a large gathering. Great balcony area also. 😍

2020-10-24Fresh raised chicken (whole, splits, wings) and a great place to get maple syrup making supplies too. One of the best chicken BBQs in the warmer months on Saturdays.

2019-01-08What a great place. I love chicken giblets and here they are in all there glory. Awesome chicken soup also! The chicken selection is unsurpassed and wow is it good. Wonderful maple treats, jams and sauces. A new fav!!

2019-02-07I buy all my poultry from Wendels. Its just the best available. I gave my father (who lives in CNY) some whole chickens from there after he asked me where I found chicken that tasted like chicken! He froze two and kept one out for dinner that night. Great service family run and always top quality.
