They are a hot mess. I was having issues with my breaks and pads and when I drive it feels like when some has an asthma attack ant it takes longer to break they said ok we will look at. When I came back the car was not feeling the same but I felt like theres was still something wrong with breaks and they gave me a paper stating that I pass the break inspection. I took it somewhere else and they told me all your break and pads are at its worst. They said oh my breaks and pads are good for a couple of more months. On the picture it tells me different.
I was trying to call the service department to make appointment fixing some recall of my ford fusion. They were like kicking the ball. First person answer the phone kick it to next person. Next person kick to another person. Third person kick it to a person that is not exist. Trying to call another day, a lady said it needs a part. Waiting for 3 months now. No response yet.
Terrible service. I dropped my vehicle off for a standard oil change/NYS inspection at 7AM when they first open. They ended up replacing the two front tires and I had to wait the full TWELVE hours for this “quick lane” service. I was told the tires were being put on three different times throughout the way, alas no phone call for pickup. Didn’t even reset the the tire pressure sensors, a nice touch to the whole experience. Will never come back and don’t recommend for basic auto services.
Awful experience. Went to them for a recall that should have taken no more than 2 hours. I ended up without my car for 2 days with no warning and no loaner vehicle because they broke another part on my car and had to fix that as well. And when I picked it up they hadn’t fully latched my hood of my car down. Had it gone unnoticed, (as the average person without car knowledge might not have realized) that could have caught wind and flown up and broken my windshield while driving. Total negligence. My father is a mechanic and said none of that should have happened. Had they done the job properly, nothing should have broken. I only went to them so they would repair the recall, I’ll never go back.
The work was completed. The counter person and mechanic were very professional. I was told the job would be completed by 2PM at 3:45 pm I called to see if the car was done I was told they didnt have the parts yet. When I dropped the vehicle off the night before I was assured the parts would be there for my 8:30 am appointment the next day. Management is the problem with this ford dealership. I consider this my last visit to this dealership. Very disappointed.
Lots of places can fix your truck but not all of them can make you wait 5+ days for the work to be done. Every person I speak to is very nice and the work is always done correctly but this time is the second time it took this many days to fix relatively basic issues. Now that both of my vehicles warranties have expired I’ll probably give another service a try for my next repair.
Updated my review from 1 star to 5... after speaking to a manager who was insistent on helping and correctingthe issue, so I figured I would give them another shot. Without going into all the details, Frank made everything right and he kept a costumer that has been going there for 15 years.
This place damaged 2 of my vehicles so ive learned my lesson to not return. Took a vehicle in for doorlatch repair which paint was damaged. Took in for paint repair and window didnt work properly after. Took in for window repair and weather stripping was botched. They then replaced the weather strippjng. Second vehicle had tires and allignment in which the wheel coating was damaged on all 4 wheels. They had me return for new coating. The next day the coating had air bubbles in it and had to have them redo it. Please go elsewhere as this place was a nightmare.
Very accommodating and they treat you right. I have popped in with no appointment many times and quick lane can usually help you with basics without an appointment. Craig is great. Truck has had very few issues but I am happy going back to dealership for routine maintenance and paying a little more when you are taken care of.
Craig Muni and his team are great! They always are going above and beyond to help there customers to get the best possible service at competitive prices. I have been Craigs customer for at least 20 years from when he started with Ford at West Herr Southwestern Blvd. I have been a longtime Ford owner and plan to be in the future. I cant say enough great things about Craig and his team. But I can say this that Terry Wyatt had a lot to do with it. His guidance, advice, and teaching of how to do the job to the best of his ability is paying off at Ford. You have a great team leader and adviser in Craig. Keep up the great work!!
Have been bringing my F150 and Explorer here (both bought used at West Herr) for a few years now for service. Theyve always given me great service and great communication. Ive dealt with Joe mostly and hes been great. They worked with my Mechanic aftermarket warranty a couple of times and everything was covered. I drive out of my way for service here.
I can say that I never make an appointment for my yearly check up and they always get me in-and-out within 2 hours. They dont bug you while I wait, I just sit there and have a nice cup of coffee, a little snack, often, there will be at least one person that comes out to find out if your intrested in trading. Everyone is friendly courteous and respectful, only thing I would like to see is a little bit more diversity in the staff, otherwise, this place is an exceptional business
During my first visit, I asked for a change oil and transmission filter on my f150 I was replaced only with oil, to my question why they did not change the filter, they said that this was not necessary, but if I want, they can do it, but I will have to pay for it separately. they didn’t even wash the magnetic plug. I am an engineer and also know what needs to be done and what is not. During my next visit, I asked to replace the rear axle liner and repair the sunroof, which did not open completely. if the oil seal was replaced without problems, the hatch said that it was necessary to change it to a new one, while removing money for diagnostics. What is the hatch diagnosis? to press a button? and did it cost me $ 130? why then did you change only the oil seal, and not the entire rear axle ?! Today I found that after their maintenance the hatch shutter stopped closing. I am extremely indignant at this attitude !!!
We were having trouble with our diesel truck brakes while pulling our 5th wheel. We happened to pull off right near West Herr. We are not from the area and were heading to a funeral. Joe in the service area fit us in quickly. Diagnosed it as a bad caliper and got us on our way in about 2-2.5 hours on a Friday afternoon. We were so grateful. The price was so reasonable. We cant say enough about our experience. We enjoyed the waiting area as well.
Great Service!!! They were able to get my vehicle in for an emergency repair and get it done same day! This is not always easy to accomplish with such a busy schedule as they had. They kept me informed every step of the way and I really appreciate the work that was done. Thanks!!!
I made a terrible mistake by giving the dealership 1 star , it does deserve a better score 5 star , I picked up a part there for my van , it came in when they said it would and I installed the blower motor and resister myself , I give the staff a 5 star rating for Friendliness and prompt service. Thank you
I have had several issues with this car and west herr. I called to schedule an oil change I called three times and it rang and rang and rang. On my fourth try I finally got someone who said he was just scheduling and it’s going to take me over a week for an oil change if I make an appointment. So I forgot to ask how much the oil change would be and I called back someone actually picked up transferred me and it rang 20 times. Counted. I hung up call back and he kept ringing. Last time I was there which was two weeks ago for a recall the van driver said he couldn’t pick me up when I needed to be picked up, he was busy.
Test drove a vehicle Saturday May 26th the tire warning light was on I was told everything was going to be taken care of by the time I come pick up the vehicle. Since it was like 10 minutes before closing time I didnt really get a chance to look over the vehicle. I came to sign the paperwork Tuesday & pick up the car, drove home and my dad noticed the rear tires were close to being bald & needed replaced. Drove back out to the dealership & spoke with a manager that was there & was told the tires passed inspection & the vehicle was priced accordingly to the condition of the vehicle. Well had I known how bad the tires were I would have had them replaced & worked into the loan before signing the paperwork. This was my first time purchasing a vehicle on my own so I wasnt thinking about looking at tires & etc I just knew I needed a vehicle.. Anyways here I am a week after purchasing getting the car serviced because one of bad tires have a leak. After sitting here for over 2 hours I was told the tire had a puncture that they were able to patch .. Of course they would take the cheap way out instead of replacing the tire .
After bringing my car in for regular maintenance, West Herr advised that I replace all three motor mounts. I brought the car back two weeks later to have the repair work done. After the work was completed, I was asked why I wanted the motor mounts replaced. I told West Herr it was in need of repair per their suggestion a few weeks ago, and then was told only 2 of 3 motor mounts were repaired because they were in OK working order.It seemed like an extremely unnecessary repair to be performed if their own employees dont agree on what needs to be done. I will no longer take my car there for regular maintenance or any repairs. The work itself seems fine but the cloudiness around the suggested repairs and lack of transparency is troubling.
Okay, so for those who read my reviews youll see my Auto Zone review. I needed my headlight replaced and Auto Zone wasnt successful. I took my car to West Herr tonight and got the bulb replaced in record time. Good customer service.Between my husband and I we have purchased 3 cars from this West Herr location and one more at tbe East Aurora location.If youre in the market for a car try West Herr. Its worked for us and it may work for you. And if youre a returning customer ask them to give you a discount off the next vehicle purchase.
I spoke to personnel of the Service Department at this Ford dealership regarding my 2002 FORD THINK, street legal two seat plug in electric vehicle. My question “could they help the vehicle perform properly “, I was told to hold , the phone call was disconnected so I called back and left contact information. I am awaiting a response as I am eager to have the vehicle on the road for summer fun. Not exactly a winter vehicle. Just received a call, and a certified mechanic may be available at their Hamburg location.unfortunately, FORD DEALERSHIPS CONTACTED HAVE NO MECHANICS CAPABLE OF REPAIRING THIS 2002 Ford vehicle.Thankfully Basil Ford dealer on Walden Avenue in Cheektowaga has agreed to a service appointment on September 7th
I purchased my F-150 from here back in 2015. Ive been dealing with West Herr Ford of Amherst for way longer. The top mechanic there is Firas, hes done taking care of my vehicles for years. Ive never had a problem with any of the work hes done on any of my vehicles. Thank you very much Firas, for a job well done!
I would not recommend this service location to anyone. I have been there twice, and both times I felt like they were talking down to me. Most recently they worked with me to set up an appointment to replace my gas tank as part of a recall, they confirmed the appointment with me so I left work to take the vehicle in, only for the service tech to tell me that they were out of gas tanks. In fact, when I went to hand him my keys his exact statement was you can keep those. Find a different place to service your vehicles, even if it means a longer drive.
I took my car here for oil changes for a few years while it was under warranty and there was ALWAYS a problem with my car even though it wasnt really a problem. I always would then take my car to someone I trusted and found out that it was something that had a lot more life and didnt need to be fixed. The staff there is nice for the most part, but they will talk down to you like you dont know what youre talking about if you challenge them about something.
This team really cares about its customers. I had a problem with my new vehicle. It took weeks of testing to figure it out. They went to bat for me with Ford to get engineers involved and refused to do a bandaid on the problem so Ford had to send replacement parts. They went over and beyond to work with my on different rental cars I needed for different trips. I received regular updates from my service team lead as well. I am really critical of services and I am very happy with them.
First the good: They performed the necessary recall and had free coffee in the waiting room. However they then tried to scalp me for $600 to replace my brake hoses which were cracked. I took the car to a non-dealer mechanic who did a full replacement of the pads, rotors, calipers AND the hoses for that much money, and much faster to boot. Complete rip off.
I needed a newer car and with my son Matt working at West Herr Ford in Getzville, where else would I start looking. I was not looking for a Ford so we looked online until I found what I thought fit me best which was at West Herr Rochester so we worked with Mike Wilkinson at Ford and what an amazing and upbeat man he is He was so informative and helpful and had the car here in no time and within 2 days I am a happy newer car owner, I would recommend that if you need a car go and see Mike, I was at ease knowing I was working with such a wonderful guy who knows his stuff, Thank you so much Mike for all you did for us.

2021-12-23Used fast lane for a tire change. The tire was ordered and installed the same day. The wheel was damaged. Ford has made arrangements to fix it. Would give 5 stars if not for the damage. Have used them them for service for 7-8 years. Update to follow.Update: The wheel was repaired. We were given a courtesy vehicle.

2021-09-02The West Herr Ford service Center is okay, the reason why I say its okay its cuz my wife took her Jeep there that she purchased from West Herr to have a new battery put in an oil change they quoted one price and charge her another which was higher thats not good. Im a former mechanic and the quote should be the same as the actual paying price. Especially on routine and simple replacement services.

2022-06-20This dealership sent me an email triumphantly announcing a shuttle service while your car is in for repair. I schedule my recall repair and let them know I want a shuttle service back to my home. I get to the dealership and I am told it is an hour and a half wait for the shuttle. Seriously ???? Why promote a service that is if no value to a customer. This is a repair due to a recall because the car was manufactured badly. Not my fault and not a repair because of wear and tear. I will be taking my car elsewhere for regular maintenance from now on.

2022-01-28I made an appointment for 1/26/2022 for a state inspection on my truck. I completely forget about the appointment and show up the next morning asking for them to take pity on me. Lucky for me they do take walk-ins. I had to wait a couple hours but they passed the truck and had me on my way. Thank you!

2021-12-31While visiting from Florida during Christmas, a warning light appeared on the dash of my Lincoln Aviator. There seemed to be some issue with the charging system. Despite being fully booked and two days before Christmas, the fine folks at West-Herr had me bring the car in and told me they would work me in. They checked all parts of my charging system and fortunately no immediate problem was found. Their work lowered my apprehension regarding our drive home to Florida.I am very thankful and appreciative of the service extended to me by their very professional staff.

2022-01-14Service dept has been prompt and competent. I was to turn in my lease in December but they had nothing reasonable to offer, so I bought out the lease. First time I was forced to do that.
