Westchester Marriott in Tarrytown

This is standard Marriott. Im very happy that the services are coming back after Covid! They actually have two redtaurant/bars! A Ruths Chris open seven days for dinner, and Coppers Mill open 6 days a week for breakfast and dinner. Quick and courteous staff. The rooms will need a refresh soon. I prefer showers over bath tubs that I never use and are not very safe!
We enjoyed a holiday party here for our daughters baseball team. The food was perfect for the audience-- chicken fingers, mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, salad, and a variety of cookies. The space was ample. They had two buffet areas, a dance floor, an area for photos with Santa, an area for arts and crafts, and an area for raffle items. The hotel itself looks like a good place for a staycation with an indoor pool and restaurant on the premises.
This was one of the worst stays ever and I am a loyal Marriott family customer. This location presented as a very worn out conference facility that has not had any investment in refurbishing. The bed was worn out and there was an empty chip bag trash left from previous guest under a chair in plain view.
Horrible to say the least. I was originally booked for a 7 day stay at the Marriott but I immediately departed after 1 stay when a group of men in coats banged on my door at 4am. After I asked them what business they had banging on my door one of them said oh we probably have the wrong door but they didn’t move away from my door. I was a young female alone in the hotel room and I was nervous. When I brought it to the attention of the front staff they told me it probably was a guest who mistakenly banged on the wrong door. Where was security ? How was the front desk not alerted or aware that 3 men are going around banging on doors. They instructed me to never open my door and call front desk. I told them I don’t feel safe and I am leaving to another hotel. They then offered me water ! For my troubles. Charged me for the night and sent me on my way. Never again Marriott !!! I will not
My husband & I spent one night here to celebrate his birthday and see the fall foliage. Ate at Ruth’s Chris which is in the hotel. So convenient! Although the leaves were just beginning to change, we still loved the view. Paid extra for the concierge level and got to enjoy its perks. The check in staff could have been friendlier, but housekeeping was very nice and even offered to help me with my key to open the door when my hands were full. We would definitely stay here again.
YET ANOTHER UPDATE TO MY LAST 3 REVIEWSSTILL LEADING AS THE WORST PLACE EVERITS NOW 2 WEEKS AND THE MARRIOTT HAS STILL (((( NOT )))) RELEASED THE HOLD ON MY CREDIT CARD***********DO NOT STAY THERE ***********STILL THE ------WORST PLACE EVER !!!!!HERE WE ARE 13 DAYS LATER AND MY CC STILL SHOWS PENDING. MARRIOTT STILL HAS NOT RELEASED THE HOLD !!!Worst place ever EVER ! ! !Had reservations, checked in they billed my credit card $639 . After I checked in room smelled like mildew , room was small, no lights in the hallway. Room was tiny with wallpaper from the 80s!!! So I checked out 35 minutes later . I was given a receipt for a ZERO balance and was told my card would be credited back. Well they billed me the $639. And now have to dispute with my credit card company.DO NOT STAY, OLD HOTEL. NO ONE CARES MANAGERS ARE USELESS , ESPECIALLY MARY JONES WHO LIED TO ME , PUT ME ON HOLD AND DISCONNECTED CALL. WHEN I CALLED BACK 2 MINUTES LATER I WAS TOLD SHE WAS GONEDO NOT STAY THERE YOU WILL BE HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No customer service whatsoever. I called the service desk twice to ask for creme to be brought to my room for coffee and never got it. My room had no toiletries. When checking out I explained both of the issues not one peraon apologized or offered to even give me a cup of coffee. The worst hotel and customer service.
We hosted a very large event at the Westchester Marriott. Everything was perfect. The staff was friendly & helpful. The restaurant was fantastic & our brunch was delicious. Everything was fresh. The workout room was like nothing weve seen before in a hotel. It was fully stocked with multiple pieces of cardio & weight training equipment. Rooms were clean & spacious. The bridal suite was beautiful. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.
Attended a wedding near here and loved it. That being said, the fact that enforced a noise complaint against the brides room AFTER quiet hours had ended in the morning was pretty ridiculous, considering this entire venue felt like it was full of wedding-goers.Great staff, nice pool room, decent bar. Be warned breakfast is like $25-30/person and not included of course.
Staff wouldnt help me understand using the card for laundry room I explained I was disability. No they wouldnt send any one to assist with laundry room. My debit card was I was able to use to purchase items. but I wanst able start washing machine. I needed assistance just how to start machine. I asked for a blanket had to wait a long time.
Positive: Good parking and close to our target destination. Comfortable beds. It was clean. Negative: Small room. Beds are doubles, not queens. No comfortable place to sit in room. Room furnishings, carpet, and bathroom are a bit tired for a hotel of this price range. Breakfast buffet was of low quality, service was sub-par, and the price was very high.
Let the New York attitude shine. I’ve heard stories about New Yorkers having a bad attitude honestly didn’t believe it until I stayed at this hotel! I felt The front desk staff needs to go back and get trained on how to deal with customers and appreciate them because they are the one paying your salary. We are elite members and brought over 10 rooms to the hotel x 4 nights, we could have chosen anywhere else but chose to give the business to Marriott, but wish we hadn’t.
Rusty water spot under sink. 2 bath towels for 3 guest. No shampoo dispenser in shower. No hot tub use in pool area. No creamer for coffee. Moldy deposits from coffer maker when water run through it twice. No trash can linners in baskets. Had to ask for pool towels, none available.
Decent hotel, close to many Lower Hudson Valley attractions. The staff was very friendly. The reason for the low rating is the fact they don’t offer free Wi-Fi access unless you join their club. This would have been excusable 20 years ago, but a hotel charging for Wi-Fi in 2022? This policy needs to be revised. I’d go to the Hampton Inn down the road.
The family stayed for our daughters wedding at a nearby venue. Westchester Marriot was excellent in its location, service and amenities. Rose , the receptionist, was very friendly and professional.Lois was the cleaning lady on our floor; a lovely person very much concerned about providing us with excellent service.Overall, our week-end was superb !!!!!! Highly recommended !!!!
If your looking for a great place to get some rest in a comfortable, clean environment with a competent staff to meet your needs, then the Westchester Marriott is the place to go. If you feel up to venturing out, this Westchester side of the lower Hudson River has beautiful sites to see and places to go, especially River Walk Park and the charming town of Sleepy Hollow.n. However if you choose to stay in your room and order in, there was a variety of delicious restaurants at your beck and call. The food is delicious and reasonable and the service is prompt and carefully executed. After a three night stay, my husband and I left refresh and ready to jump back into the reality o work and family.
Hotel was nice, clean. Staff super friendly, specifically the cleaning women. All the ladies were nice! Disappointed there was no breakfast option, except to order out or go to the take n go (which was not much). Other restaurants were closed due to COVID. I was not prepared for this and was coming to unfamiliar territory. Will still plan to stay here as now I know how to plan in the future.
I visited the Westchester Marriott recently for a conference and it was excellent. The room was beautiful and clean, the facilities maintained well and the banquet service and food were excellent! All the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, too - a great place to stay!
Solid hotel. If the smaller rooms and the smell of chlorine (theres a huge indoor pool in the center of the hotel), then I recommend you stay elsewhere. You get used to the smell after a minute.Having 2 restaurants right in the hotel (Ruth Chris and Coopers Mill) that serve good food definitely helps. If you opt to keep it simple, theres a smaller Stop and Shop supermarket 3 minutes away.Heading there is a doozy if youre coming from the Cuomo bridge or the Saw Mill, so pay attention to your GPS or youll add an extra 10 minutes backtracking.
The hotel and staff are nice but my bathroom was not 100% clean and I really didn’t appreciate them holding so much money for a security. I could barely enjoy being at the hotel because I had less money to spend cause of the hold. I will be back but only if they change their security deposit policy.
The room was fine and clean. The problem was with the billing. I was initially charged an additional $100 which was a pending charge on my credit card. Of course I called up to see what the problem was, and it was explained as a security deposit in case anything was amiss in the room. This was not told to us when we checked in or at any other time, and I wasted time on the phone for this explanation. Was not a problem, but they need to tell you this up front.
We arranged to have a breakfast the day after the wedding which was held elsewhere. Early arrival day before - no problem. Arrangements - no problem. Staff - very helpful. We have been to other breakfasts, other hotels. Buffett, stack of plates, utensils wrapped in napkins. We were so pleasantly surprised with full set tables, staff following you around with coffee pots waiting until you sat down. Joe remembered the flowers that were delivered the day before. On the tables. Overall an exceptional experience with people that knew Hospitality.
Very convenient location to get just about anywhere. The staff is professional and pleasant. Ruths Chris Steakhouse is on property and offers less expensive happy hour/bar options for both food and drink. There is also a pub type dining choice. The rooms need to be updated, but the lobby and common areas are in good shape. This is one of the few hotels that is quiet enough to get a good nights rest. Its consistantly comfortable and clean.
Place was very nice clean and good atmosphere I was very disappointed to find out that my room do not have a mini fridge or a microwave that’s very difficult if you are staying there with a toddler. Another thing of phone mind-boggling that you had to pay for Wi-Fi $12 a day I mean I know they have to make money but come on this is 2021 not 2000s where Internet is scarce. But staff was excellent .
I have stayed a few times at this hotel and each time my experience had been great.A nice and cozy hotel that is located on the outskirts of Tarrytown. The room a pretty nice and big. The staffs are very nice and very welcoming. The building has a few restaurants for lunch or dinner with came it easier not to leave it, it also has a nice bar for drinks.Their concierge lounge is one of the better ones I have seen in a while for those that have elite Marriot status.Breakfast is included but those that have Elite status.Overall a nice Marriot hotel that you will enjoy even more if you have the Elite Marriot Status.
Everything was very good except the lighting in the rooms. A bit dark. Especially the bathroom....made it impossible to shave because the lighting was so poor. Additionally, being 61, I kept hitting the shower head. Although the shower head was great in its water delivery. Room was very quiet which was appreciated. All in all not a bad stay.
Customer care, ease of use, and service should be top of mind for hotel chains. I’ve been a reward member for nearly a decade and from the reservation process, to the check-in, to the wrong room assignment, it seems like something went wrong with this location and Marriott as a whole. I understand mistake happen and I won’t hold it against the brand, but there are simple solutions to some very minor problems. It seemed like each time I offered a solution things just got worse. It’s a shame really.
There are several hotels in the area which might be better. There are restaurants in the hotel, but the bars do not stay open late enough. No on-site breakfast was available. The rooms were clean, but badly in need of repair or renovation. Fixtures in the room were not installed properly, and the ceiling in the bathroom was very poorly patched, possibly from a water leak on the floor above.
Truly terrible experience at Westchester Marriott. I stayed here as part of a wedding block; originally booking my room I had no problem and when I called ahead they said my spouse would be able to check into my room a few hours early in order to get ready. The day of the wedding, my spouse called ahead to make sure my room would be ready. It was not, they said call again later. He called maybe 2 more times until the concierge said the room would be ready by the time he got to the hotel. This was not the case, and when he got to the hotel he was told that they had no record of this and a room wouldn’t be ready for hours. In addition to the room not being ready, he was told they would not have the correct room that I booked and that I would have to pay a higher rate (mind you I was in a wedding block). After hours of sitting in a hotel lobby waiting, my spouse finally got into our room with barely any time to spare and was late to the wedding. Absolutely terrible experience, no communication between staff, and mediocre stay in general
This is a nice hotel with a very good location. The lobby is very large and appealing. The room looks to be updated with excellent bedding. The hot water was not working anywhere near a satisfactory level in my room until I was about done showering. The staff really shines at this location, they are very professional and want to make sure you are happy. The Ruths Chris Steakhouse attached to this hotel is a big plus too.
Bonvoy members beware. For starters, The Westchester Marriott chooses not to honor any upgrades congruent with your Bonvoy status. The hotel was not very busy during my stay. I inquired about a suite upgrade. They explained they had suites and would be happy to sell me one but there were “none available” for upgrade. I requested a late checkout which they also refused to honor. I requested extra pillows and towels and received 1/2 the amount requested- several hours later after calling 2x. The in-house restaurant is not open for business. You will need to drive a fair distance to acquire a meal of any kind. The bathrooms are filthy. The grout/calk joints are brown and obviously haven’t been cleaned in years.
Although the beds were comfortable, we found our stay inconsistent, unwelcoming and overpriced. There are newer properties to choose for the money. The pool was lovely, but the caution tape on the hot tub was not. One of our double beds had a blanket instead of a duvet. I nearly couldnt open the bathroom door once Id shut myself inside as it was broken. Terrifying. When I checked out, I was informed I needed to pay for internet, though I am a Marriott member. We cancelled our second night and went elsewhere.
The staff here is excellent and always made me feel appreciated and welcome. The lack of food options here is disappointing. A hand out suggesting to order carry out? Would except this from some other lesser branded hotel but not a Marriott. Toiletries stuck to the wall in the shower? Would except this from some other lesser branded hotel but not a Marriott. This was my fourth stay here and easily the worst. Covid has largely destroyed what made this hotel really great and I will have to think hard before returning with so many options in the area.
The room is a bit outdated snd there was food left over in the refrigerator from the guests before me. Theres no coffee in the lobby and it takes forever for the front desk to answer the phone if you need anything. But the worst thing is, for a two nights stay, they ran my credit card for $200 more than the cost of my reservation. They say its returned within five business days, what the hell?
Stayed after a spontaneous trip to Sleepy Hollow. Property is very nice. We were given keys to a dirty room upon check-in so had to go back to reception to get a new room and new keys. Didn’t use the restaurants nor breakfast. Didn’t use the convenience shop. Four different wedding parties were staying at the hotel as we saw the gift bags. At 12:30 am drunken wedding guests came back and were yelling and slamming doors for about 10-15 minutes. Property should probably put wedding guests on the same floors, and keep one or two floors for non-wedding guests. Room was clean. Bathroom very clean. Towels were nice and fluffy.
My experience at the Westchester Marriott was great from the beginning to the end. They honored my upgrade request and my room was very clean and comfortable. I checked in and out via my mobile device without any issues. My needs were met promptly and the staffs were very professional and friendly. And thanks to Chef Michael who made our night extra special for our 20th wedding anniversary
Stopped here overnight to break up a long road trip. Tried to do mobile check in since we got in late but it didn’t work. Luckily the front desk helped immediately. Room was a good temperature, bed was comfortable. None of the restaurants were open during the week so we got breakfast at the bagel emporium down the road the next day (recommend online ordering). We would stay here again on a road trip.
This is NOT the Westchester Marriott I remember and used to stay in. The ROOMS given as a government employee were in a DARK hallway - did not feel safe what so ever. The room was standard at best - notwithstanding I am also a Bonvoy member which is probably like having a membership to COSTCO. There were NO liners in trash pails, the coffee set up was NOT filled, NO iron, toiletries non existent, down to the product in the shower area, and MOLD on the shower curtain. The sliding glass door had two locks, however the mis-alignment of one lock did not allow the other to be utilized - you get to choose which is the strongest of the two options. And this was to have been a upgraded room as it was poolside.Checked in at about 5pm or so which was relatively smooth. The following day we were out and about doing wedding prep by 10AM. Upon return at approximately 9p we came back to UNMADE spaces. Beds were not made, towels not picked up, rooms not done whatsoever. The days following the housekeeping was OK. This is actually the first time I could not see myself providing a gratuity for housekeeping due to their lack of services. The hotel provide a convenient location to the interstate and other locations. However, it should be upgraded (the hotel staff indicated it was updated about 4 years ago). Carpet in rooms is very passe and should be changed out to a LVP.I do not recommend poolside rooms for many reasons. The noise reverberates throughout due to the dome and the balcony space is connected to others due to the location. If your neighbor needs an extra table or chair, they can easily borrow one from your space.I am fully against a $100 hold per night on your credit card for incidentals. I am fully against the time it takes Marriott to release it.
I needed to wash my clothes and walked over to laundry room. I placed my clothes in a washer and realized it was full of dirty water. I checked all washers and they were all broken. No signs anywhere. I walked to front desk while carrying heavy, wet, dirty clothes and was told a service person would meet me up there. Service person on arrival, first told me I had to call the number on the sticker of the washer. I said no, that he should do that. He quickly said I can’t touch these machines and told me to go back to front desk. Front desk then told me to go out and wash them somewhere else. I was carrying heavy, dirty, wet clothes all over the hotel and no staff member offered to help or ask if I needed help. It was a nightmare. I am very disappointed. Staff gets big fat zero for customer service. Except the cleaning ladies. They were sweet and had wonderful customer service.
I reserved 2 rooms. It took me over 2 hours to get my rooms, while other guests were getting their rooms upon arrival. I questioned that and they apologized for their mistake but still had to wait another hour to get my rooms. One room was just OK. The other was a mess, very dirty. I also would have thought they would inform potential guests that Cooper Mills (restaurant) was closed when I was making my reservation, if I knew this I probably would have went elsewhere. The hotel service was terrible, they never answered the telephone for service. There was a dog show in the area and the hotel was booked with the Owners and the dogs, yes dogs too. Im a dog owner as well and love them, but maneuvering the dark hallways to avoid excrement is not what I call a nice place to stay. The smell wasnt pleasant either. Ive stayed at this property in the past and always enjoyed it, but this time it was very disappointing. I hope it returns to the way it once was.....
Room was beyond dirty, stains on the bathroom floor, shower curtain, ceiling, potatoe chips on the floor in the corner.Lights did not work in the bathroom (that might have been for the best) Rude front desk staff when I told him about the state of the room I wasn’t even offered to be moved just I will send housekeeping and maintenance up…this is 10:45 pm. I asked for a clean room and all I got was an eye roll.I spoke to the MOD and she made a promise to me let’s see if she keeps it.
Our room was missing a luggage rack, blow dryer, and iron. The vent in the bathroom desperately needs cleaning. The furniture was worn. The fridge door needs to be rehung to open on the other side, as it’s awkward to get into. On the positive side, the staff were professional and helpful.
The Hotel is very nice, as are the rooms (they are just a bit dated, could use a facelift). NYS has opened up- but the Restaurant in the Hotel was still closed, as was the Concierge Lounge. They still provided a Starbucks coffee and muffin (or fruit cup) for breakfast. The pool is still closed as well. There is not much nearby to walk to - you would need to drive.
We were in town for the Westminster Kennel Club dog show. Normally the hotel doesnt accept pets but for this event they made an exception. Everyone of the staff made us feel welcome and they did everything they could to make accommodations for the dogs even setting up a special bathing area so we could bathe our dogs before the show. For a property that hadnt seen this many guest since before the pandemic they did an awesome job!
I stayed here recently for a wedding. There were 8 weddings staying in the hotel and it was full booked. When I first got there the room was 80 degrees and the AC was not working. There was dirty towels in our closet and glitter all over the chase lounge in the room. We asked them to remove the towel and bring new ones and they just brought new ones and left the dirty used one there. There was no mini fridge, a light out in the bathroom, the toilet barley flushed and the water in the shower was brown. I understand being busy but for a paying customer I expected more. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Very nice hotel with a friendly and professional staff. Theres also easy access to great food since they offer dine in or take out from Ruth Chris steak house. Although they have a beautiful resort style indoor pool it was closed because of Covid. However, I highly recommend staying here!
First time platinum guest. There were 3 weddings during our stay but atmosphere was still quiet. Front desk and housekeeping staff were very responsive to a request. Location was convenient to many areas. This will be our go to hotel for future visits to the Westchester area!
To start, they were out of soap - wanted to shower after my trip, arrived in the room only to realized there was no soap - asked housekeeper who was in the hall, she said they were out, delivery didnt come. Went down to front-desk and she said they didnt have any and gave me a tube of shower gel. Got back to room and then realized there was no shampoo - it was so stupid - 2 bottles of conditioner on wall with center slot empty - how did housekeeping overlook that? Clearly management not managing. Went back down to front-desk, got a tube of shampoo. While showering, noticed a hair (not mine) stuck to the shower wall. Splashed water to try to make it go away, but it was stuck (gross). After showering, there were 2 bath towels, I pulled the top one and then saw 3 yellow stains on it (yuck!). After shower noticed how dirty the edge of shower curtain was - awful. That evening I was looking forward to sleeping only to find yellow stains on the inner sheet of my bed. I took pictures of it all. I have travelled a lot in my life and this room was a disgrace - not having any bar soap is unforgivable. The housekeeper was apologetic, but front desk person acted like it was no big deal and like too bad. It is a big deal to not have bar soap. If delivery didnt come, someone should have gone to a local Walmart and bought some for the guests. Overall, room was poorly cleaned, horribly stocked with supplies and front desk person not hospitable - this one was not up to Marriott standards at all.
Meh. Old, and not in a good way think 80s, poorly maintained hotel charging 300+ a night. I had mold spots in my shower and the room coffee maker had bugs in it!🤢 They put a 400 dollar hold on my account for a week before settling the bill. I stayed for 12 hours and checked out and went elsewhere.
Very nice and clean. I do wish the front desk person had explained that the elevator buttons are now on the outside—I spent several minutes inside with the doors shut wondering where the floor buttons were—I even announced my floor in case it was voice activated. Then when I got to my room I had to perform several magic tricks before I figured out which side of the key and how close to hold it before the door unlocked. I still don’t understand how either of these new features are improvements.
Checked in with Marriott points. Room was not clean. A dirty sock was on the floor and old pretzels. Requested room to be clean when we were out of room and got attitude from clerk. I know Marriott has great standard so e trusted room would be clean when we returned but found room untouched. Called down for clean linens and it took hours to receive. Old hotel has been remodeled but room is not up to Marriott standards.
First things first; hotel is in a good location, the room I stayed in was pleasant and quiet. I think theres enough spacing between each room so you dont hear your next door neighbor.Refrigerator and decent coffee maker. Plenty of parking, and Ruth Chris steakhouse is downstairs. There is no free Wi-Fi.The bed is comfortable, the pillows are very flat, the TV is very clear.Overall decent for one night.Definitely one of the better hotels in the area.
While the pool was nice and the breakfast buffet good (though overpriced), the big problem was that the room was not ready until almost 8pm instead of the standard 4pm check-in time. We checked several times waiting and waiting. We made reservations months in advance. Traveling as a family with a young child, the very late check-in time of almost 8pm should not have happened.
The overall service was terrible, from check-in to check-out. The rooms were filthy. The bed sheets were stained with dried blood. No One ever answered the phone when calling for service. The Front Desk personnel had no Customer Service knowledge/ training and they were not very pleasant. There was NO DINING so Im surprised they ask that question. The restaurant was closed, which was one of the Main reasons I picked this location. I was never informed when I was making the reservation.
Arrival was pleasant I was greeted nicely. The rooms atmosphere was amazing as usual. The tv did have a couple of issues as far as glitches and being able to navigate according to me pressing the buttons. There was one issue, When I accidentally dropped the remote behind the bed, I went to pick it up and there was a used water bottle down there. Idk how I should take that. I notified the checkout people and hopefully it never happens again.
The Westchester Marriott seems to be taking advantage of and cashing in on the COVID environment. Pool continues to be closed, concierge lounge closed or does not serve food, and hotel restaurant is closed. Too many other local hotels have found a way to keep pools open and serve food, especially to elite members who spend many nights per year at their hotels. Disappointed with what was once a great hotel. Will stay elsewhere until amenities reopen.
Poor service We requested extra pillows and extra towels and we had only 2 towels in the room . Being a platinum member this is one of the worst experience. They also offer no breakfast which we didn’t know , and in the morning we asked if we can get coffee they said we don’t offer breakfast, 5 minutes later we knew that we can purchase a breakfast which cancels out what they said about them not having breakfast
The location was great.. the pool and hot tub looked amazing but was empty, understandable considering the pandemic. Just wish the website noted the pool is closed. The rooms were clean but had a very strong musty smell. To the point my entire luggage smelled like must when I got home and unpacked. The balcony was not a balcony, was not large enough for a table and chair. Ruth Chris was amazing. I was underwhelmed with the hotel itself but it served a purpose. I’m giving 3 stars for the comfort level of the bed and pillows!!! They were super comfy..
I was very disappointed with my stay. Bed was hard, pillows were flat. Hallway was kept too hot. Room wasn’t serviced and when asked for more shampoo, another empty bottle was brought. Food in the restaurant was awful. Don’t waste your time at the Cooper Mill. Eat at Ruth’s Chris. So not worth the price of staying there.
No mini refrigerator, mico wave in rooms, this is held secret until after you check in, rooms are very small and tight, when asked about mico and frigd received the miracle word (COVID) the go to word for not wanted any extra work or appliance cost (general manager christmas bonus just added a couple 0s) oh forgot to inform you, there is a microwave in the concession area in the lobby, you will recognize itfor it has no price list , and absolutely no plastic utensils or paper cups ( add another 0 to that christmas bonus) the staff I feel sad for, the were either trained to.be zombie like, or because of social media, have no people skills, and wish not to have them, pool was a 2, the medical community while study, global warmer, might just might want to check out the brainwashing, and odd behavior of are you people( but then the 0s would disapear, stay well all, sincerely wish you luck , your going to need it
Everything was fine until at 6am when people started to leave our floor via elevator and it’s so freaking loud. Holy hell. It’s 6:14am as I write this and I can hear in excruciating sound levels every time the elevator opens on our floor. Be sure to request a room away from the elevator. Went from a 4 star experience to a 2 star experience really quickly because of this. Should not be a thing. Extra soundproofing by the elevators should be required and the sound should be lower in general. No disrespect to the hard of hearing. Extremely frustrated at 6:14AM!!!
Our bathroom was not clean. Front desk staff was nice and Austin gave us a credit since he could not move us. Housekeeping was not meeting our request for extra towels as we had only 2 for 2 people for 4 nights. . Housekeeping seemed to the biggest problem at this Marriott property and was below the standards I expected at Marriott.
The Coopers Mill restaurant was closed so no breakfast was available on site, which presents a challenge for business travelers. They also said they could not have a luggage cart sent to the room because they were understaffed. We were charged $12.95 to use Wi-Fi and $3.50 for a cup of coffee from their Starbucks machine (they keep the cups behind the desk so you have to ask for one). The TV didnt work. The rooms were just adequate. Needless to say, it was disappointing compared to other Marriott properties.
Came to this hotel with my husband for a quick getaway. First room they put me in had a used bar soap. We were then accommodated to another room. My cellphone fell behind the bed when I moved it I found a USED tampon and glasses. Security came upstairs took my name and number, no one has called. I personally called myself today in the evening and was advised that the manager already had my name and number. Currently almost 10pm the next day and still NO phone call. Pretty disgusting cleaning especially during covid. Also have pictures to show proof.
Would not recommend for elite members. In June 2021, the lounge is still closed and points are provided instead of complimentary breakfast. Breakfast buffet at onsite restaurant is over $20 a person for the same free breakfast at other Marriotts, such as Teaneck. The upgrade is a room around the pool, which was noisy. We just stopped for a night on our travels, Im sure this is a great hotel if you come for events or have kids....not for business or elite member perks.
I booked a king size bed and they wouldn’t honor it and told me I had to get a double full size room. The Receptionist was extremely rude talking aggressively even after I showed her my reservation. Manager stepped in and told me there was nothing they could do because there was booked.
We normally enjoy our stay at this hotel. This time was a big disappointment. We requested a poolside room because it has the terrace that leads right out to the pool. We received the requested room category. Unfortunately, the room was next to an entry door to the pool. So, as we sat on our terrace area, any guest who forgot their key to the pool was knocking on the glass door to ask if we could open the door for them. We went back in our room as not to be disturbed. The jacuzzi was also broken. This was one of the main reasons that we selected this hotel. The chaise lounge in the room had several stains on it The bed was comfortable but the pillows were horrible. *No microwave or refrigerator in the room* I left in pain the following morning. We spent quite a bit of time searching for an ice machine on our level only to find it and see an “ Out of order” sign on it. We did enjoy our delicious meal at Cooper’s Mill. Service was outstanding!
Excellent hotel. I sleep SO hard on their beds! Their staff is professional and accommodating. The pool is heated and only 5 feet deep. Hot tub lovely. Best wings in town. Hamburgers rock. Suggestions would be to the Manager to re do the parking lot. There are huge wells due to poor asphalt layover. It needs to be redone properly. Other than that its just perfect!
Westchester Marriott seems to be taking advantage of covid by not having pool open, hotel restaurant closed, and concierge lounge closed. Other hotels Locally find a way to keep their amenities open and serve food to their guests, while this Marriott provided a poor point stipend for the inconvenience. No excuse for not providing a breakfast option for guests and not allowing concierge or pool to open, especially during this point in the pandemic as cdc and state relax protocol. Will not return until they get on board with other hotels in the area.
The rooms are nice and spacious. The atmosphere is relaxing and quaint, and the air is fill with subtle hints lavender scents. They have two great restaurants, and food is amazing. This hotel has a really nice, calm, and cozy feel. I love the pool and jacuzzi area as well because it has a resort feel to it. Overall, i really love this place, minutes from the city, and will visit frequently when I’m in town.
The Westchester Marriott is modern and up-to-date. The staff is helpful and friendly. The food I ate at the restaurant and through room service was tasty. My room-service meal was hot when delivered. You are given the option of picking it up, but they will deliver for a $5.00 fee. I was attending a convention at the hotel, and it was convenient and helpful to be staying there.Much information regarding the hotel is available on the in-room television, and the room was clean and very comfortable.
My husband and I booked a last minute weekend getaway at the Westchester Marriott. The room rate came with a couples massage package. From the moment we got there we were very pleased. We expected not to be able to get into our room until 4pm, but it was ready as soon as we got there at 1pm. We had lunch and then our spa treatment which was very relaxaing. Our room was beautifully appointed and very clean. Overall we were extremely pleased with everything and highly recommend this hotel.
Nice hotel with excellent dining options. Also LOVE the new line of bathroom products. Little strange that there are no menus in room or any plastic bags due to the green initiative. Would be nice to have a laundry bag. Pool and hot tub are very nice. Location is good with easy access to highways. Free parking
I had an amazing stay at the Westchester Marriott, this is my second time staying at this location and I already look forward to many more stays. Westchester Marriott is my favorite place to relax, unwind and get away from the noise. This location has a great spa, indoor pool and hot tub that’s amazing. Checking in was very easy and the staff is incredibly polite and friendly. This location also has delicious restaurants inside the hotel but also great room service. Highly recommend it!
We recently returned to the Westchester Marriott to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary - where we stayed after our local wedding reception before heading out in our honeymoon. When the front desk learned of our special anniversary, they upgraded us and sent a congratulatory note, champagne and hand decorated cupcakes to mark our celebration. It was so amazingly thoughtful and unexpected! That is what “hospitality” is all about! P.S. The bed, pillows and bedding were fabulous - good news you can buy them! We just might!
We celebrated my daughters sweet 16 at the Westchester Marriott and everything was perfect. Yesenia our event planner went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was taken care of! My daughter loved her and so did I! Khal our banquet manager was so attentive and helpful he too went above and beyond to make sure timing , food and dessert were served flawlessly. And then there is Rose at the front desk. This is not the first time over the years I have given Rose a shout out. She is one in a million and you are blessed to have her! My daughter loves her so much she wanted a picture taken with her. Rose is like family! She had made our many stays with you, often to celebrate family birthdays, extra special. She is the BEST!!!Thank you Westchester Marriott for a very important day that was extra special because of all of you!Darcy and Robert Flanders
Overall fair experience. Was there as a result of a family wedding. Hotel is well located. Very busy with business conferences and wedding parties staying over. Staff great at every turn. Rooms small and in need of upgrades. 2nd floor near elevator noisy at night. Overall the property needs refreshing internally as well as externally.

2022-06-22The one I usually stay at. It is nice, it is clean, and the service is very good. There was an error with my order, so check-in took longer, but it was fixed.

2022-05-30No one is talking about these crazy sliding bathroom doors at the Westchester Marriott that fail to offer complete privacy? I originally thought it was a handicap accessible room, but no, I was told all the rooms have these doors. You have to wonder who was in charge of that decision.

2022-05-08The Good: The room and hotel were very clean and well maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful. The bed and bedding were comfortable. The room had just the perfect amount of space, although the tub/shower was cramped (anyone over 57 would have to bend down to get their hair wet). The location of the hotel is good being close to the freeways, and centrally located. The Coopers Mill restaurant and Ruths Chris offer a fair amount of dining options without having to leave the hotel. There were blackout curtains on the windows, which was great, but there was still the issue of...The Bad: There was a good amount of light being cast in the room from the cable box on the back of the TV and the light from under the door. Thankfully the location of the bed hid a lot of the under-the-door light, but nothing prevented the entire wall from being lit up from the green light from the cable box. A recent study found that any amount of light in a room is enough to prevent a deep sleep, and I have always found this to be true. In this case, it resulted in me never getting a solid nights sleep and being generally grogging for the four days I was there. And this was further exacerbated by...The Ugly: The walls are insanely thin. Two of my nights ended up being late nights due to neighbors talking on their phones. At first I thought they were just overly loud, but I dont think this was true, just the lack of soundproofing in the walls. Thankfully they retired by 10:30, but this was far later than I wanted to go to sleep (had to wake up at 4am the second time).

2022-04-26Didnt check in for any lengthy stay. Went for an event. Ruth Chris Restaurant is inside the hotel. Hotel looks nice, airy and clean, bathrooms were clean. Decor was warm and comfortable. Food was good for the event.

2022-06-30I booked a room 2 days before staying there. Check in was smooth, guy at front desk was in training, but nice and helpful. Room was small, but ok, and fairly clean. Although, the shower desperately needed a makeover. No breakfast, no ipad or anything else in the room telling you what, if anything, is available, such as room service. Food is available at a restaurant downstairs. Not a 4 star hotel by any means. 3 at best. Check out time is noon, I express checked out around 11.45. Room was supposed to be $319.85 total with taxes and fees. Confirmation email confirms that amount and so did the express check out. Day after my stay, card was charged $408.65. I called, went through a 5 min menu, then a recording came on telling me the hold time is longer than 10 mins. Tuesday morning and it takes longer than 10 mins to get help on the phone? The place is local to me, so Ill just go there later and complain in front of other guests and post back here afterwards.Update: They corrected the amount charged. They said the additional money was charged for incidentals and it was refunded within 24 hours. I understand the charge, but letting me know before charging me wouldve been the correct way to handle it. Upgraded to 3 stars from 2.

2022-06-14Stayed here for a wedding. Not a particularly nice Marriott but it’s fine for a 3-star hotel. WiFi worked fine, which was the most important thing (I had friends who stay at Sleepy Hollow Hotel nearby and apparently the same could not be said of that hotel’s wifi). The pool was sadly closed when we were there. The hotel room was missing an iron, but the staff brought one up when I called front desk to ask for it.

2022-04-17Positive: Location Negative: The room was right next to the staff cleaning closet/elevator & was very noisy all day. The room was comfortable but the carpet needs to be replaced. Staff was eh, not friendly nor helpful. The pool was closed! Restaurant was worse than diner food.
