We really enjoy taking skating lessons here. We bring our own skates so i cant speak for their skate rentals. The ice is kept pretty smooth. The bathrooms are pretty clean, theres always toilet paper. Theres plenty of parking. The staff is very friendly and approachable. Theres a whole nother level upstairs but weve never been up there.
Really nice rink tucked away here in Westchester. The people here are friendly and the hockey is awesome. Coaches take their time developing kids skills here. Nice concession food court area upstairs! Great figure skating/training going on here as well. Those who know, know! Definitely worth the trip.
I love this place. If I would have realized how excellent their skating program was- my boys would have started hockey a long time ago! I feel it’s even safer than soccer these days. The protective gear is fantastic. The coaching is spot on. And girls play too. It’s all good here. And if you haven’t been to Friday Night Skate... you ain’t seen nothin’ yet...
Wonderful ice rink. My 9 year old plays hockey and this place is great compared to many of the other rinks I have been to. The seating in the rinks are a comfortable temperature, the upstairs area is warm for those who cant stand the cold (my wife), and the snack bar has a great selection and friendly staff.
A nice facility with two rinks. One rink has stands for people to sit and watch hockey games, the other just has a few benches that you can sit on and watch from the side. There is plenty of parking outside and a nice spacious and clean lobby. Upstairs there is food vendor, video games, and plenty of seat to sit, relax and enjoy a snack. There are also seats along the glass looking down on the rink. A nice warm place to watch games from. The pro shop carry a decent selection of hockey gear and is big enough to actually move around in.All around nice facility.
We have been here three times. Overall, a nice experience for public skating. The prices are a few dollars higher than Hommocks. I think the rentals are much better quality at Hommocks as well.I would like the staff to be more proactive in keeping unruly skaters in check to make it safer for younger kids learning how to skate.
This is a great family-oriented rink. It can become very crowded during open ice times. If you are trying to learn, definitely call ahead to pick the best times. Lounge on second floor is great warm spot to watch both the hockey games as well as figure skating lessons. Wifi now works well and Optimum reaches through the building as well.
Its great having a rink in lower Westchester, but they could step it up a few notches. The locker room bathrooms are almost never cleaned. The showers are nasty and theres frequently standing water on the floors. The ice? The people who drive the resurfacers dont seem to care very much. They slap a bunch of water down and frequently miss sections of ice. You go out onto the ice and skate in puddles. It also seems like they keep the temp high. The ice is never great. The rink give each team four, maybe five pucks to warm up with, which is ridiculous. Buy some more pucks. There are a few bad referees; theyre either incompetent or have rage issues.
The rinks are about average for what youd expect. Its in an industrial park and I certainly wouldnt go there at night alone with my daughter. The bathrooms are filthy. Skating is not very safe. There are all sorts of instructors and monitors, but I still wont let my daughter on the ice without going with her or without an instructor. There are a lot of bad skaters and a lot who are just reckless. Weve been knocked down several times. Time to find a new place to skate.
Nobody here was nice, we got no help/service. An arcade machine broke that we spent $15 on, and the desk man didn’t believe us that it was broken. We got no refund. Skates are not sharp at all, and incredibly hard to skate in. Would not recommend at all. Don’t waste time/money here.
Heres the scenario, you decide: There are no boundaries between beginning skaters, hockey players and figure skaters taking private lessons. The staff spends most of its time talking to each other and ignoring what happens on the ice. The hockey players -- mostly small kids, maraud around looking to practice their skills on unsuspecting beginners. The private instructors shove everyone out of their way -- I know because my son was knocked down by one and dropped in the penalty box. My son had been knocked down almost a dozen times. I complained to the management and got a dumb look. Hey, if my son isnt playing hockey, hes a sissy and he gets whats coming to him, right? Hes seven. Been on skates 8 months. Im not waiting around for some instructor or some hockey jerk to break one of my sons arms, or worse. The hockey parents are the worst. Bunch of Neanderthals. So if you are one of those, bring a six-pack and watch your kid slam into other kids. If he/she gets hurt, well isnt that what skating is all about. Management is in this for the money. Fine. Theyre not getting mine.10/28: Heres an update of their fine management policy when a parent raises issues of safety. After writing this review, I received an e-mail banning me from their premises. As my son was nearly severely injured on their premises, theyre in no danger of my family ever going back... LOL
This place offers a lot for people who like ice skating. They have 2 rinks so there can be public skating even when a hockey game is going on. They have ice skating lessons and I believe it is open Year dinner. The is a large parking lot at the facility but it is very difficult It to get parking during any events there.

2022-02-13Here for a high school hockey game. I like this rink more than the others, because there’s a heated place upstairs to sit and watch. With beer & snacks.

2018-01-16We always have fun here. We arent pros but love to glide on ice. Rentals were a bit old mine and kids but not all were worn. The ice link was in good condition. Thankful for the resting areas since I have little ones. Love there food there. Its kid food. Portions are generous not overly priced that makes it nice for the kids. Kids have fun here.

2020-01-03Great place. Was our first time there, and first time skaters. It didnt disappoint. Was well maintained and staff are friendly and helpful. The only thing was that restroom was neglected. Will be going back and considering lessons as well.

2021-09-26Setup was really cool, with the US and the Canada rinks. I particulary liked that the downstairs waiting area reminded me of an old school train station seating area. The pro shop is super nice and fully stocked! I sat in the upstairs seating area, which is HUGE! they have a concession stand there and seats all along the windows so you can watch the games from above without issue. My daughter said that the ice was nice to skate on and that the locker rooms were awesome too

2021-12-27Great place for a party. Both my nephews had skate parties and had so much fun. There are 2 rinks and it was fun to watch hockey after the free skate was over.

2021-12-17First visit in 2021. The online booking was no longer necessary I found out after calling to see how to add a child to my reservation.Easy pay at the door process. Skate rental fees are now included in the admission fee. Another change since my last visit.

2021-11-14WSA is like my second family. Both my kids have gone through the learn to skate program en route to playing in their hockey program. The instructors and hockey coaches really make an effort to get to know each kid and are committed to each of their development

2022-03-23Been playing hockey here since it opened in the 90s. Management has changed a couple times and the upkeep has been slacking recently.2022 Edit: This place hasnt had a penny put in it for maintenance in the 6yrs since I left the last review. The showers in the locker rooms are disgusting and the drains are clogged half the time. The company they farmed out their Adult Hockey League to is a cluster of idiots and the referees they hire belong in the examination chair at your local optometrist, not an ice rink.
