Im a furniture designer and needed a prototype seat upholstered for a show recently. I sent out multiple quote requests and and got back similar numbers but the reason I went with Westchester Designs Upholstery was because of the way they continued working with me through an evolving design. Most fabricators will write you off if you change the design after a quote. Joanne worked quickly to get me updated numbers and lead times.What put them above and beyond was that they took the time to meet with me personally and go through my design to understand what I was trying to accomplish - they actually sewed a few samples right there so we could look at them. The piece came back within the lead time and it was a very well received at the show. Id use them again in a heartbeat and really appreciate the time and effort they put into doing the job right .

I had work done this summer at 2 different times. Joanne worked on very old needlepoint smallstep stool. Within a day it was finished. It looked totally REJUVENATED. A few weeks later Claude worked on a needlepoint chair completed in 1927 by my grandmother. . Again, one day later my side chair isbeautiful. It looks like it was just completed instead of 90 years ago. Thank you both.

We couldnt be more pleased with the results of our Westchester Upholstery. We have 6 Møller chairs that weve owned and used! for almost 30 years. The seats needed re-stringing with Danish cord and after much procrastination, we finally sent them off and held our breath.I admit that I was nervous making every step of the transaction via e-mail, but the process worked very smoothly - photos, quote, agreement, expectations, progress report, suggestions for additional improvements were all made along the way.The results are wonderful. An expert job was performed in addition to a repair on one chair that I thought would be impossible. And, they were completed ahead of schedule.

Terrible communication! No answer to emails, calls do not get returned. Abnoying back and forth about a simple job. Resending emails over and over. Explaining everything over and over... Exhausting!
