This place carries a wide variety of organic produce. Even though its relatively small compared to the big box stores, its easy to navigate and it has a wide range of selections. The staff are very friendly and always willing to help. It is relatively affordable for NYC. If I didnt live in Harlem, Id make daily trips for the fresh produce. I definitely recommend this place to everyone, especially those whod like to support local businesses.
Love Westerly Market. They carry so many vegan options, especially my favorite brands of plant-based milks. Theyve also got great pies during the holidays. Since I work nearby, I usually stop in for the prepared food section and to grab a juice. Plus the cashiers & stockers are super friendly and sweet people.
I stopped in here because my wife and I needed some ibuprofen and or Tylenol. The place is well stocked and it looks like they have a really good selection of vitamins and supplements. They do not however have any ibuprofen or Tylenol and the employee sort of gave me a look like I should know better haha.
Affordable prices; especially for GTS Kombucha! The health food selection is incredible. I’ve been shopping here since they opened up in the 90’s. One of my all time favorite NYC markets. Thanks for the incredible selection of delicious, healthy snacks, farm fresh & Vegan food.
Most extensive selection of organic teas in NYC (literally a wall!). All kinds of niche stuff throughout the store you can’t find anywhere else. 🙂 Huge supplement selection, and they also carry a small selection of FES flower essences. Late hours! 🤩 Really glad to have Westerly as a resource. The only thing is that the store is kept so cold my coconut cream was frozen solid. 😭Please also bring back the Font D’or water! It was the best.
I’ve love Westerly. It was a pharmacy and became a market. I particularly love it’s fresh nuts. However, last month when I purchased “whole cashews,” there were about a 1 c. of cashew “crumbs” mixed in which had settled at the bottom of the bag. There is a difference between whole cashews that break, pieces, and crumbs. One whole nut was hard like a rock, inedible. The nuts bins need to be properly maintained so that customers get fresh nuts. My reason for not giving 5 stars.
Open late! Huge selection of natural and organic items. Prepared foods, smoothies, shakes, yummy soup bar, grab and go items. Also vitamins and speciality items. They have deals often, check out their circular or stop in to see whats on sale. Youll find things at great discounts you wont find other places. The staff is friendly and helpful. This establishment has been going for a while and its nice to see them still kicking even with a Wholefoods not too far away.I do see some of the comments on Yelp that Westerly has items that are priced higher than average. Well thats common with most of the grocery stores in Manhattan. You need to be a savvy shopper and find each stores strengths (price:offering). As I said they have great deals, but not everything is priced the best. Gotta shop to get the best deals. And here they have some and a great selection.
Most cost effective place to buy vitamins and supplements. In addition, Westerly is also a fairly large health food store with a large selection of goods.Pricing other than vitamins are average, with a few sale items. Definitely a better bet than the Jeff Bezos Wholefoods chain as you don’t have to be a member for discount pricing.
Lovely store and i am proud to be a regular at this fabulous natural Food store. High quality store with supermarket prices. tonight 09/08 @ 10:30PM a guy at the counter was singing loud with an irritating voice which made my shopping experience very unpleasant. I tell the store manager to please have him quiet down when at work.
This is the BEST health food store! Its very tight on the inside, so go knowing that people are going to hit you in the head with their purse if youre kneeling down to look at ingredients. But anything you want, you can get it here. I was super psyched to see mini versions of Cashewtopia non-dairy treats, as Ive only seen the large containers in Whole Foods. I love the huge selection of raw food treats, all the sales, and the very friendly cashiers!
Westerly Natural Market offers quality foods that run the gamut from fresh fruit and veggies to the best breads and bulk items like rice, nuts and dried fruits. If you can wrangle a Groupon discount it is even more convenient in terms of pricing. I find the prices a slight bit more expensive than WFs but I like the neighborhood vibe better here. Lets keep our small businesses alive!!!
Giving it 2 stars for the great selection of merchandise but i would give it 1.5 stars for customer service!!!I usually love this place but the customer service here is so terrible! I have never been so FRUSTRATED before . I placed an online order through mercado . They called me to let me know the brand i wanted wasn’t available and so i told them any other brand would do. N so the fulfillment worker tells me i have to speak to the vitamin dept to figure out what’s in stock.Which makes no sense how a fulfillment worker doesnt know their own stock or takes the initiative to find out.I then get transferred around to 4 different people in various departments having to explain over n over what im trying to do . If i didnt work retail myself i could see a regular customer getting easily confused and flustered.I speak to one guy who goes to check availability then a woman who sounded like she knew what i was asking for also picked up n went to check for me as well. The guy comes back n tells me they only have powder version of the product i want which made no sense bc it has never come in powder. I tell him a woman is helping me .The woman indeed comes back tells me she has options for me n which brand but i could sense the annoyance in her tone with each question i ask.If a customer was asking me a question about a product i would simply get the brand, the sizes , and prices all in one shot so i wouldnt have to walk back and forth. Well she didnt n would get annoyed everytime she hd to walk back to answer my questions about the same two products. I finally decide sure just give me the two described and if she could place them aside or let the order/fulfillment dept know i wanted those in my order, since she knew which ones exactly i wanted. She catches the biggest attitude and tells me that’s NOT HER JOB and transfers me again! When i tell u i was ready to cancel my damn order!!!It was such an unprofessional experience between the bouncing around on the phone and the attitude!!Finally i finalize the products i want and my husband goes to pick them up 4 hours later .He goes into the store AND THEY CANT EVEN FIND THE ORDER !!! I had placed it under his name n i had given him the order number to just incase .These people are soo disorganized had him waiting 10 mins just to find his order that shouldve been ready 4 hours ago. It seemed everyone was confused about the pick up order .Completely ridiculous and chaotic!I swear i have never been so frustrated in my life !
Would give them 6 stars if I could! Top-notch well run local business. You remember who was there for you in a crisis. When NYC was in the height of the pandemic and people were openly having melt-downs taking everything from the shelves, Westerly was not only open and fully re-stocking as fast as it was emptying, they also kindly, safely and thoughtfully dealt with emotional new yorkers (not an easy task). Even when Trader Joe and Whole Foods closed, Westerly managed to stay open. This is a tribute of how well they manage, especially their staff. Amazingly, they always had sanitizer, toilet paper and masks (I kept that a secret until now : )
Okay Whole Foods is great and all, I myself LOVE it....but its a bit overrated! This has more of a personal feel to it, and has just as many if not more healthy foods. The prices are a little high, but worth every penny! They always have new products sampled and the staff is great! Also, besides foods there are vitamins, beauty, fragrance, home goods.A great little neighborhood spot fro everyone!
This store is great for natural/organic needs. It has an awesome selection of gluten free foods, and they have a great raw food section. I always come here when Im in the city. It can get a bit pricey, but most of the time its worth it. I especially love the variety of nuts and coffee they have as well.
Have been coming here for over two decades. It has an excellent selection of regular and specialty products, everything from produce, cereals, chips, and teas, to raw foods and refrigerated sauerkraut, and everything in between. What they lack is a meat or fish department, so what you get is all packaged and selection is rather sparse.Prices in general are good, although certain items (like berries, yogurts) are consistently cheaper at Whole Foods. Also the Juice Bar prices have gone beyond the point of ridiculous, so its been years since Ive ordered anything there.Where they excel is in the Supplements department. They have excellent sale prices, and (usually) helpful staff to help you find things or make recommendations. Also, they have a Soup bar but not a sprawling food bar like Whole Foods does. Overall, a more interesting shopping experience than Whole Foods, minus a meat or fish counter or food bar.
It’s difficult to shop here: Narrow aisles and step-ladders abound. What I find the most off-putting is being followed here. You can’t really shop without some staff member asking if they can help you, particularly in the body section, and when you do ask for assistance they don’t seem to keen. Also, things are more expensive than Whole Foods and I am starting to realize many things are near expiration. Pretty gross.
A natural food store with a huge variety of items. The store is opened 7 days a week. You could always stop by. Check the hours, which vary by the day but they are usually open till midnight. The prices are extremely reasonable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a juice bar. The juice comes in a variety of flavors. You choose the fruits and/or vegetables. The staff will make the juice right in front of you. There is a deli bar, which includes all types of sandwiches, salads, dips, and more. Prices are extremely reasonable. The staff is very friendly. There is a large variety of freshly made soups, which change daily. The soup is delicious I tried the vegetable Maryland crab soup. The store carries a huge assortment of natural items. They offer free delivery of your purchase, or order online (within a specific area).
Best place in midtown for raw/vegan food options! Just love their selection of all possible snacks, sweets and wraps. The vegetables are somewhat overpriced but are fresh and good quality. Very good store, definitely recommending! It also is open late which is a bonus.
Very expensive but good food. The kitchen in the back has wonderful choices and food bar. The checkout counter is a terrible experience everytime Ive gone there. The cashiers are aggravated that they have to wait on the customer. One time I waited 5 minutes for the cashier to stop talking to her neighbor before she waited on me. Another time I brought my own bag and cashier was aggravated that she had to help me put items in it. This happens so frequently and Id rather go to Whole Foods where food is also wonderful and people friendlier.
I am so beyond disappointed with my interaction with the Westerly staff today. I would consider myself a Westerly regular, I come about two times a week to this grocery store for over three years. I tell my friends to go and I choose this place over Whole Foods to support a small business. Today on the way out of the store after spending over $100 on my weekly groceries, the store manager stopped me to talk to me about something. He shows me a photo of myself from last week asking to confirm if the photo was me. It was, in fact, me, shopping for groceries last week. Apparently their payment system did not capture the $59. The cashier did not tell me of this issue at the time. The manager felt it was appropriate to cherry-pick and humiliate me in the middle of grocery store rush hour. I proceeded to show the cashier and the manager my bank statement showing the charge on my account. Which was actually more than the amount due, so they owe me $9. I told them this was their mistake and didnt have time to sit there and explain to them their own POS system. The manager proceeded to tell me I wasnt going to be aloud back in his store. I am absolutely disgusted and actually should have proceeded to return the groceries I had purchased. Absolutely unacceptable customer service and incompetent staff and management. Id like my $9 back. I will be shopping at Whole Foods from now on.
Overpriced, rude and unhelpful staff.AVOID!Whole Foods Columbus Circle has better prices for the same things - a lot cheaper.I had a coupon for a product on my phone. The cashier called the manager. The manager said they only take printed coupons - she was very nasty and had an attitude. It’s alright if you don’t take the coupon, but no need to be rude...
A cute and unexpected find in midtown NYC. The selection is great, and theres everything you might look for. The fresh food selection is awesome too, great soups! Lastly, its nice how organized the shop is, despite being so compact. Would definitely recommend this for New Yorkers looking for real organic and healthy foods.
Just want to say that the cashiers are rude all of the time. Disappointed that although they are a health food grocery nothing is fresh. Bought a spiraling drink and opened it and it smelled like a sewer. Bought ginger candy and not that I’m home and opened it it has no flavor and tastes old. The shop smells of vitamins which is rough and when you go to buy fresh food such as the hot soup the whole item smells of that awful vitamin-like smell. Must say it’s over priced and so fat I’m not impressed at all. It’s phony chic and healthy. If I wanted attitude I’d shop at Gristedes. This is a specialty market where you pay prime prices. They should pay the help enough so they are happy and throw out old items because that’s not the point of a healthy market.
I came here on a Sunday morning at about 11am. They were not very busy, which was nice.A great selection of unique specialty products. Great premade vegan desserts. The vegan Spiced Vanilla Cheesecake was quite good. So was the Vegan Chocolate Walnut Crepes.Awesome assortment of pickled items like beets, red cabbage, carrots, pickles and sauerkraut. I got the Ozuke Ruby Calendula Kraut (red cabbage sauerkraut) on sale for $7.99.Their bulk section is quite nice and has some different selections than Whole Foods. I like to get the ‘crunch’ selections like Sesame Crunch, Or Honey Nut Crunch for $5.99 per pound. I also like the Chunks Of Energy Spirulina Bars in an assortment of flavors like Mixed Berry, Cha Cha Chia, Chocolate, Lemon Pomegranate and others for $8.99 per pound.I found Bob’s Red Mill Paleo Baking Flour on sale for $10.49. Check the clearance racks in the front for deals. Also look for any other products on sale for better deals. Get the Groupon deal for even more savings. They have Barney’s Blanched Almond Butter here in a few flavors. Regular, Cunchy, and Cocoa + Coconut. In the produce, they have Frieda’s purple sweet potatoes, which are often hard to find.
#Westerly store in #NYC is a health food store that is reasonably priced then other stores. Plus for #vegan lovers this is a great place to go. Its near 59st but this store is less crowded and you can expect great service. The prices are reasonable. It is a neighborhood store so you will notice more people choose to shop here because people love the #vegan or #vegetarian food.
Wonderful market, full of friendly and very knowledgable salespeople who really know their stuff and care about the integrity of the product.Theyre very reasonably priced, especially for the city and they always have something on sale. Solar vitamins are very often buy 2 or more and get 40% off which is great.Produce is a little pricier but always excellent. I dont live in the neighborhood at all but I always stop in when Im around to pick something up.Excellent soup bar and juices.Ps. The only thing that could make this place a little better would be some small seating area in which to enjoy their soups and prepared foods.
Great smaller grocery store where you can buy just about any health food item you’d want. Always great sales on items, so you can try something new. Huge assortment of products. Narrow aisles and high shelves make maneuvering a little difficult but it’s a very pleasant place to shop.
I found this place using the Happy Cow app. I always look for earth friendly establishments to spend money. They have just about the same selection as whole foods with way more deals. The store is huge and they have a pretty wicked juice bar. They are definitely worth checking out. I go to Westerly Natural Market on a regular basis.
A must for vegans and health nuts. This supermarket is jam packed with goodies for the health conscience. Always friendly staff. They have grocery items, hot soup in the back, pre made sandwiches (some gluten free), juices, a vitamin section herbs and minerals. I typically come here for the pea and kald soup. Prices are high but very reasonable for the area. One of the best supermarkets for Vegans Vegetarians. NATURAL
When I go to NY I always go to this organic market. They have great organic specialty breads. I get my primal defense organic probiotic by the garden of life their great prices are what keep me going back. They have great jelly also made with no sugars of any kind just fruit . The the associates are always helpful and friendly they go out of their way to help you find whatever youre looking for. Go and check it out .
I greatly enjoyed Westerly Natural Market.I visited Manhattan for the weekend, for the first time, and WNM ended up being my go-to source for food (and beverages, with them having a large selection of fermented juices and the like). Any quality, organic food I wanted, it was there; same for supplements, had I the need for any. Also, prices were fully reasonable, no different than Id expect to pay anywhere else for such products, despite being blocks from Times Square (in the heart of tourist country). Finally, the staff I interacted with were friendly and attentive, including when I had to make a return one day. Overall, I was impressed, and quite delighted to find such a place when away from home.My thanks goes out to all associated with Westerly Natural Market. I am grateful for, and have benefited from, your work and service.
I work a stone throw away from this natural food market and tend to visit every so often. The ample spaced market has specialty food (duck fat, turmeric), health care items, coffee, beauty products, locally made, smoothies, organic and natural items, prepared foods/soups along with basic grocery items. The narrow aisles are jammed pack of goodies and you can constantly see workers restocking or cleaning the aisles. However, prices are a bit on the more expensive side, but they do have sales quite often.
Before Whole Foods, this was (and now still is) my favorite Health-Food and Vitamin Shop. Its a supermarket with lots of good produce, organics and has a fantastic Vitamin selection that surpasses the competition. All markets should be like Westerly. They have everything I need and more. Plus theyre open late!
Love this store, though can only afford it from time to time - it has pretty much everything to support healthy eating habits, organic produce, leafy greens, my fav coconut milk, really good chocolate selection, dry fruits & seeds, spices, teas... tones of vitamins & supplements. Staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Glad this store is in my neighborhood.
Im glad to have a natural store to go to other than Whole Foods, but their prices are usually the same or more. I find much better deals online. Its always good to support local commerce, however! Thats really the only reason I go here - unless I need something last-minute.
My review to Westerly is long overdue. I dont live near here, but one of my friends live in the apartment connected so I occasionally frequent this place, but I usually do only because of their Groupon offer which is more than generous. I almost feel guilty using it because their products are actually decently priced and youd find the same items at Whole Foods for about $1 more (not counting produce or dairy). But yeah! theyre awesome. Through Groupon I was able to try out so many juices that Ive been wanting to try and healthy snacks. They have a HUGE selection of stuf for such a small store. My only problem with it is that the aisles can fit about 1.5 ppl wide. But you can find about anything in here. I usually shop for tea, jam, lifeway froyo, chocolate, and stuff from their bulk section. So awesome! Today Ill be going there because Im running out of organic facial cleanser, and my groupon will expire in less than a week.
A bit overpriced but, nicely kept, the food is always fresh and the store is clean. The staff is always friendly and is very well managed. Well organized and the daily soups are great. They miss out on some basics in their produce section but, what they have is always beautiful and in season.
I suggest you dont shop at Westerly. Food is bad. Workers are incredibly rude and incompetent. Way expensive compared to other natural markets in NYC.A lot of better options in NYC -- where employees are nice, know their products, and prices are reasonable. Also seems that the owner of Westerly has been convicted.
Visited this updated whole foods market. I never noticed this market until they updated the design of the store. What an amazing find! Not only do they have a variety of natural K-rations (packaged foods) that are fairly decent priced, today I discovered they have fresh vegetables and herbs almost all grown in the USA. Most of the other grocers in the neighborhood who have been importing more from Mexico and abroad. In addition to food items, Westerly also sells a variety of items ranging from almond milk to protein powders. If you live in HK, you should stop in and browse about the ailses. The staff is friendly, but the store layout is a little odd and higher reaching sometimes is required. That also have protein powders for those working out. I am not advertising just pointing out an amazing gem to have in the neighborhood.
Most of the prices ARE reasonable however the 5 dollar coupon is a joke...I got into a disagreement with a cashier over the use of the coupon and ended up tossing it Also their soups are delicious but my allergies to wheat, dairy and soy prevent me from enjoying MOST of their soups-so guess what? I shop elsewhere now LIFE THYME, WHOLE FOODS- although a coupon is still mailed to me every now and then...
Westerley Natural Markets are known to be a step ahead of what is offered at a national natural products grocery store. They carry things that are a little less mainstream, but are essential because they get the best brands out there. For instance, if you want and dairy free cheese substitute, Westerley will have three different brands that have texture, consistency, and flavor comparable to some cheeses.Other products are available as well, with inventory stacked from floor to ceiling. Come here to explore all good, natural food has to offer.
I-love-Westerly!Fresh healthy delicious foods, on the spot prepared juices, fresh organic fruits, hot soups and an over-all great selections of groceries, herbal medicinals, and vitamins. My fav soup is the Quinoa-Sweet potato with black beans. It is seductively good-tasting & filling.I fell in love with the ‘Forager’ brand of Wasabi chips. A hot pleasure.I often purchase their prepared sandwiches, Smoked Tuna, Natural Chicken & pastas, (when they are 50% off - still & always a quality bargain shopper🤓) great grab & go.The checkout personnel take their time with you; as in talking to you with interest, and being communal. RefreshingWesterly’s is a Midtown Manhattan treasure.
Not your big box natural foods store! Westerly has somehow managed to survive a few short blocks from Whole Foods at Columbus Circle. They always have a fresh supply of vegetarian and vegan sandwiches, great produce and huge variety of health foods and nutritional supplements, despite their small space. Ive never had to wait in line despite some crowded visits. A Westerly sales person is always available to consult on vitamins, locations of obscure products or health and nutrition concerns. A bit pricey, but probably on par with Whole Foods without the aggravation of navigating through the crowds of pushy customers.
Lets get this out of the way: Im not taking price into consideration. If I did, Id live in Jersey. This is a great natural food store with a terrific, wide-ranging stock. Most health food stores will offer you one or two options for chia seeds, but Westerly has at least four, including bulk bins. The bulk bins are great, the drink shelves are endless, and theres lots of healthy pre-packaged (boxed, canned) foods that sound awfully tempting.
Great group of people. Did a fantastic job helping us. Needed a special type of bread. They had 6 loaves. I asked could we get more. Jackson looked at me and said how many do you want?.Three days later he had the extra 24 loaves we asked for. Jackson a job well done. Bravo and accolades to the staff.Crazy canucks.Best regards
Im regular customer there but apparently today is beyond common sense, i was stopped from getting in the restroom because i asked permission from the friendly staff but not from the management. So i had to get out of the line and ask permission one more time in front of this Jackass as if i was lying.I hope u will experience the same thing in the future, u and ur entire family, and u would understand what common sense is. Not coming back here having to deal with people who dont kno what customer service is and hope their jobs are replaced by automation.
This place is great to pick up organic produce and natural goods during a lunch break.Their produce is expensive, but probably worth the price. Its about two to three dolalrs more than comparable produce at Whole Foods. What I really like are the snacks. Their fiber bars are the cheapest in town, and they also have a variety of fruit leather and bran crispbreads. Their Fage was about two dollars more than whole foods or Trader Joes. They have household goods and toiletries too. It smells delciisous in there. They have incense too.I cant wait to try the deli.
I think this m might be the best health establishment I n he city or maybe in all of metro Staten Island ,Long Island,brooklon.queens. bronx. I used to drive over 100 miles and leave at 5 am in new jersey to get there and remember Whole Foods is also on m list but Whole Foods has sit down eating. facility I rate this a five star
This is the go to place for healthy and obscure foods on the West Side. They also have great soups and a juice bar in back. I highly recommend the tomato vegetable soup. Also, as someone who follows a paleo lifestyle, they carry many of the paleo brands that you cant find anywhere else.
This store is poorly managed. After i paid for my tahini i noticed it was leaking.i opened the lid and saw there was a hole in it. i told the manager and went back and checked this time another jar and again it was opened. the third and last one was allright. the response from the IDIOT MANAGER was do not open the jar i told HIM that i all ready paid for a jar that was TAMPERED with. HE then had the audacity to tell me that i had to pay for the one good jar that was on the shelf. i told HIM i all ready paid for the other one. While looks good it is OVERPRICED compared to other Natural and Organic food markets that also respect their custormers. WESTERLY does NOT.Boycott this store!
I went in to find some raw honey to treat my daughters seasonal allergies. She coughs and has sputum but exhibits no other symptoms. I read that some people take a teaspoon of raw honey (the creamy looking kind and not the clear liquid kind) to treat allergies. So I went to Westerley on 8th Ave. There was a gigantic selection of honey of all kinds, including manuka from New Zealand. I was confused for a good 10 mins reading labels. This man stocking shelves saw my confusion and proceeded to teach me that raw local honeys would work better for my daughter since the allergens in flowers and in the air are also local. He recommended a honey produced by several upstate NY farms. It was not more expensive than the jar I was holding at the time so he was not selling me a line. They dont get commission for sales. Needless to say, I was awed by his knowledge and patience. Thank you Westerley for employing such good, knowledgable people and also for stocking things I could not find anywhere else in NYC! And thanks store employee (Im sorry I didnt get your name).
Westerlys has saved my life time and time AGAIN! Westerlys has an awesome assortment of FRESH organic fruits, vegetables, cookies, cakes, herbs, meats, etc! Its a smorgasbord of GOODNESS! Their staff is knowledgable and you will feel empowered to commit yourself to a healthy lifestyle! The herbs Ive gotten from Westerlys improved my skin, my hair, my nails, my energy, my focus, my ability to be fabulous in NYC! Ive also gotten the BEST soups there to nourish my soul and revitalizing soaps to cleanse my body after a long day as a teacher! And you can sign up for a $5 coupon when you spend $50! To Life! To Health! To Vitality! To Westerlys!
They have non homogenized milk that comes from Skytops Farm in NJ which is fantastic i do really love it. But... i got a full box as usual and the half of it where bad. I called and they told me they would give me credit but when i showed up with the box of rotten milk bottles they didnt do anything for me. I have wasted my time.
Westerlys is a well lit organic supermarket. Flu Cold & Times is one of the exclusive products sold here which attracted me to Westerlys Market. I have enjoyed drinks from Westerlys juicer tucked away in the back of the market. The staff are helpful and the food/items offered are superior. I recommend Westerlys Market as an alternative to Whole Foods Columbus Circle.
Could not for the life of me figure out how to navigate the register lines. Or the organization of the food. I get that space is tight, but going here was an intensely confusing experience. Maybe Id like it more if I lived nearby and learned the layout. I cant even speak to the quality of product, I was so stressed after finding what I came in for I left without doing any browsing.
Awful. A Monday regular - returning a supplement a manager sold me. Did not have receipt- wanted store credit- tonight the MANAGER who sold me the item said he could do nothing - will NOT be recommending westerly to my wellness clients for supplements if customer service is a joke

2022-06-22Amazing place!!! Wow! I came all the way from Brooklyn for this place and yes it was definitely worth it! it has tons of health food products that even whole foods dosent have I would give it 5 stars except for the fact that the aisles are extremely narrow and the food is stocked till the ceiling and I couldnt get to the items on top also I wish their mercato delivery was updated on whats in stock and have all items listed on whats actually available so I dont need to travel all the way there delivery is expensive but it makes sense for how far away I am so no complaints on that overall I was impressed! Good job! Oh! And the store is open until 12 at night! just awesome!

2022-05-27Large Selection, Overpriced, DishonestThis store has a large selection of natural and health products. Unfortunately, they are overpriced (expect to pay 50% to 75% more than Whole Foods for most items).Worse, they are dishonest, as the price advertised on the shelf may not match what youre being charged at the register. If you point it out to them (as I did), they will not apologize to you, but instead blame it on a bad system. If you like being ripped off, being treated badly and paying top price for the privilege, I recommend that you shop here for all your grocery needs.

2022-08-18Chicken salad sandwiches seal is completely broken. Be careful eating their prepared food and check the seals carefully. The uncooked chicken is overpriced. The uncooked red meat is bad. The uncooked fish is ok. The microgreens is twice the price of whole foods. I only buy a few things here now, its a decent store. Here youre not gonna find any real gems of health. Amazon gives you a bigger selection.

2022-06-19Simply the best. Walking through the aisles feels like a way of discovering new and quality foods from all over the world. The staff are awesome and friendly and the selections are top notched!!!

2022-04-14The one star is because this store charges 18 cents for a bag and then adds another 5 cents as tax on the bag. Its one of my go-to stores for select organic specialty products, but it is so high-priced overall that I think adding an exhorbitant bag fee on top of everthing else is pure gouging. I try to always have my own bag, but sometimes I forget. Going forward, no bag, no shopping at Westerly.

2022-04-28I wish I could give this store NO STARS because they treat minorities a lot different than white people. I literally asked a sales person for the same exact product a white women in front of me asked for-the sales person gave her the product ( which had to be unlocked from a case in the back of the store) handed the white customer the product and that customer walked away happy-I ALSO needed a product in the case and was told she will leave it at the counter!

2020-08-05So much to rave about! Amazing delivery service during these times is a gift. Im grateful for the management. I made a request to Angel for Howl Mac and Chef the new Vegan macaroni and cheese (The sauce is made out of pure cashew... instead of cholesterol sludge) that my nutritionist eats everyday. Angel took interest in it for his customers who care about super healthy food. He got it in both the classic and the Chipotle. Thats great management and it ripples through the whole store. I came here today to thank him personally. Im grateful that because of him I can get a nutritionally balanced meal. So many good things here to learn about.Of course Westerly is clean and organized. The vitamin and supplement department is fabulous. I cant say enough. Thank you

2017-10-31This place has great variety. There are so many natural healthy food options that I could keep trying new ones for a long time. It includes a juice bar in the back, and cosmetics up by the supplements. My only problem was not having the register recognize a half off sticker on the bread.
