What a great choice “Westville Chelsea” was for our Sunday Brunch!!Everything was very smooth from the time we got there to the time they sat us down. Our waiter was Jody, then we were also serviced by Cesar and Javier. Let me tell you, it was the best service I have received at a restaurant, they were above exceptional, outstanding!!!Our food and drinks were made to perfection. My mom ordered the *Southwestern Brunch Bowl* with extra chicken, she enjoyed it a lot. My boyfriend, sister and me ordered the *Skirt Steak & Eggs* with variations on the terms, toasts and fries. I loved my steak fries with the chipotle sauce and specially loved my steak. I ordered medium term and that’s what I got, loved the flavor, loved how perfectly made it was. I ordered Portuguese muffin and got Baguette by mistake, Javier caught the error and brought an extra side of Portuguese muffin for free. He also provided my sister an extra chipotle sauce because she was eating mine.Everybody in our party was extremely happy with what we got. Our drinks were perfectly made as well. They were refreshing, fresh, you could taste the natural ingredients in all of them and we definitely loved that!!Will definitely be back!!!Cesar suggested for us to visit another location because the aesthetics are amazing, so will take that into consideration.1000% recommended!!!Tip: make reservations for Sunday ‘cause the restaurant gets packed and they won’t take people without rsvp.
A wonderful Italian restaurant with a great vibe and even better food! I had a great experience here not only because of the food and ambiance but because of our incredible server Sasha, he truly took the dining experience to a whole new level, he was kind, attentive and gave some great detailed suggestions. Will defiantly be coming back again for the great service! Thank you Sasha!!
The food is delicious, but theyre super unprofessional when it comes to delivery/take out orders. This is now the second time Ive called to order for my colleagues and I lunch meeting, and its been over 45 minutes late. Called for an update at the 45 minute mark, and food hadnt even left the restaurant, as it was just being prepared. Would not recommend for take out/delivery, they dont seem to be organized at all. We love the food here, but theyre simply never prompt.
The kale salad is the most amazing thing ever! Kale, blue cheese, pickled onions, walnuts, dried cranberries, pumpkin seeds, and a lemon olive oil dressing. My coworkers laugh at me because Im so crazy over this salad. It is sheer perfection. Their truffle fries and mac and cheese are amazing! Love the grilled chicken! Cant say enough about how good the food is at Westville!
For years, I have passed Westville many of times because the line for BRUNCH was unbelievable which, also includes Dinner. What stopped me today was the sign outside that stated $8.00 for wine. I was like YAAAS. The Bartender/Server Edgar made a few suggest then, proceeded with the SPECIALS. As you can see below. The Shrimp Cobb Salad was exquisite. The flavor on the shrimps and the crispness of the bacon was just right. ARDIENTE. PRESENTATION, it’s important to me. (The photo says all) Dessert was a must so, I had the Molten Chocolate cake a la mode. It was good the only negative comment I can say is this: (which I takes 1/2 a star away) The presentation could of been better on dessert. Take the cake, place it upside down on the place. When its served to the customer then add the ice cream. Otherwise it was delicious. As for the host Richard was so, friendly and knew how to direct orders as take out especially within the COVID guidelines and with professionalism. As far as I could see he was the only one I saw that kept the protocol. I was sitting 3 feet away. #westvillagenyc #cobbsalad #life #makeitcount#beinghuman #onelove #humpdaymotivation#moltenchocolatecake #foodie4life #Chelsea
Hmmm. I have eaten here many times for dinner. Went today for lunch. New location is extremely noisy inside. Tight and loud would describe it. Food comes out very fast because it seems like its all premade. The market sides were downright awful, which is usually not the case. Salmon burger was fine, a bit dry and def not cooked to order hot. It was slathered with spicy mayo, which wasnt spicy and added nothing to the flavor, but it did add some moisture to the sandwich, which was desperately needed. Overall a poor showing.
I do feel bad writing this review because the truth is this used to be one of the best neighborhood restaurants, I knew many of staff and food quality was always excellent. It has certainly fallen off post-pandemic. The food quality has declined and worse still is extremely variable. The service has also gone down hill. I ordered pickup on my last visit and when I arrived waited for twenty minutes during which time people checked on my order around five times. They would take my name go to the kitchen would come back and say just a few minutes more, theyre making it right now etc. Turns out it was all lies because after waiting all that time they said there was a problem with the order and they didnt have it!At the end of the day Grey Dog and Jacks Wife Freda are just around the corner and are better local options.
A delicious, popular spot in the West Village with a nice wood bar, beers on tap, wine, and a splendid market fresh menu. There are plenty of seasonal options for meat and veggies, and savory vegan fare as well. The value was reasonable, and market plates with your choice of many vegetables (including artichoke, cauliflower, garlic kale, etc) can be paired with a variety of proteins. There was a buzz in the air, and the servers were friendly.
One of my favorite healthy choice restaurants in the City, I love coming here! This place is popular and there is often a wait, but it’s worth it! I recently ate here off hours (5pm on a summer Sunday) and had our choice of seating. The market sides are the best. The aroma of the restaurant reminds me of my grandmothers kitchen - a sure sign of wholesome cooking!A recent gluten intolerance is not a problem for me here! Gluten free bread and plenty of veggie options abound.
I place large orders from Westville at least once a month for my jobs lunch meetings. Every person I have ever spoken with is professional, courteous and competent, and their food is consistently fresh and delicious. Delivery is always prompt, and my team is always thrilled to hear were ordering from Westville. Special thanks to Liz and crew for delivering such a large last-minute order today. You are all the best and we appreciate you!
We came here at 12ish on a Saturday and it started to get busy by 1pm or so. The food is decent but the heaviness of the food is apparent very quickly - you feel super lethargic afterwards because of this. The Californian Benedict is apparently a menu favourite. I couldn’t finish the entire plate. The earl grey latte also tastes like drinking a cup of milk and sugar with a subtle hint of tea. Wouldn’t come back here again and not sure why this chain is so popular.
Tasty and creative dishes. Went for breakfast and had their Argentinian eggs Benedict, it came with homemade hash and a small salad. Everything was cooked nicely, not too salty, just enough acid, and everything was well balanced. Would like to go back to try their other breakfast dishes as well as their market vegetables.
Very cute place. I sat outside with a few friends and the staff was actually really attentive. Even after being told that they had a lot of reservations we were sat down as a walk-in writing 5 minutes of our arrival and we were in no way rushed out. The food was tasty, but nothing amazing. Enough for a good light brunch.
This homely chelsea outpost takes no reservations but if you go during off peak hours, you can get yourself a market plate for a fantastic price. Id definitely recommend the pesto mashed potatoes and the cauliflower but the veggie burger left quite a bit to be desired. You can expect to pay around $20 a head with a non alcoholic beverage.
What a fantastic find in the city. Everything was absolutely wonderful. The vegetable selections are the highlight of Westville with eclectic choices and ample portions. Two of us had the marinated chicken with 2 vegetable sides and the 3rd member of our party had the 4 vegetable platter. (kinda wish I had done that as well). If the food doesnt bring you back, the service certainly will. The servers all work as a team and no one is left behind which makes the experience perfect.
Unfortunately this place didn’t meet my expectations. I had high hopes since i read so many good reviews. The vegetables were all burned so it was hard to sort out the unburdened parts. Also it was super packed, loud so hard to had a conversation with my friend. I would like to try once again- probably the next time, I’d end up falling in love with this place!
Perfection every time. I ordered on Uber eats tonight and Uber messed up my order somehow so I called the restaurant and they immediately helped the situation and prepared it for me so I can come pick it up at no charge. Very impressed with the customer service and they are always so nice!!
My favorite Westville location! Interior space is cozy and intimate, outdoor seating is available in the Spring/Summer. Grilled Chicken Breast is tasty and well-seasoned. Marinated Skirt Steak is flavorful and tender. And you cant go wrong with Market Plate Vegetables!
Love this place! All of the Westvilles are nice but I like the terrace at this one. I fantasize about their sweet potato fries, oh and their Cobb salad, which is usually my go to dish whenever Im back in the city. I had the poached eggs on potato pancakes with avocado and spicy aioli this time and it didnt disappoint! Salad dressing was a little vinagery for my tastes but you could just ask for it in side.
Oh man. This is the best healthy but also delicious food place. I hate comking here busy hours but if not, itll be the most amazing experience. Fresh food. Definitely try 4 vegatable deal, broccoli, cauliflower, mash potatoes get em. Burger is great. Fries not so great.
The food was very good from my online order. The vegetables are very fresh and very well seasoned, and there are a lot of options for people who are vegetarian or vegan. Delivery was on time. The soy hot dog was very good and the brussel sprouts and gazpacho soup were amazing. This place is a very good addition to the Chelsea neighborhood. I will definitely be ordering from here again in the future or going in person. I also like the seasonal additions to the menu
Really nice place. A little crowded and loud, would have been perfect outside or with one person but with a group of three at the bar it was hard to hear each other. I had the fried chicken sandwich which was a little dry and not the best friend Chicken Ive had but still good. The parmesan frys were AMAZING and I had a side of califlower. Drinks are also really good and refreshing.
Love that there’s extensive veggie options on the menu. Went for brunch and had the veggie platter with artichokes, mushrooms, cauliflower, and mashed potatoes. We had asked for no cheese on the truffle fries and artichokes but both items came with cheese and had to be sent back. The veggie dishes were nice and fresh and well seasoned. I wasn’t blown away by the food and having to send the food back was not great. Plastic bags were used for doggy bags. A more sustainable option would be better.
My first impression was not good. Food came out barely warm, my fish was so raw it was like jelly, was burnt on the outside, like it was put on a barbecue and left for a while before serving. The vegetables were burnt too was like eating charcoal. The waiting staff never came and offered water, or checked to see if everything was ok, very poor attendance. For the high price of the food was totally not worth it. If it was presented nice it would have been ok. For this I am on giving this 1 star.
One of the best variations of a Benny Ive yet had in my life. The California Eggs Benedict is amazing. Some kind of delicious toast (forgot the name), a big old chunk of avacado, perfectly poached eggs, roasted corn, Chipotle hollandaise sauce, and optional smoke salmon...what more can I say? Incredible. The salad is a salad. Ignore.
Maybe it was an off day- My friend ordered a Cobb salad (with blue cheese) and was terribly sick for two days with the stomach flu. On top of that, the “warm” chocolate lava cake was not warmed at all and might’ve been unsafe to eat at that point. Again, busy restaurants means crazy hours and all that. But this was a crazy experience to have after just ordering a salad and a side dessert. I think the only part I personally enjoyed was the French Vanilla ice cream. Otherwise, it was a bit scary. I would given two stars but I can’t accept the stomach flu part. Please be careful what you order everyone, no matter where it is.
Me and my giftfriend decided to meet up for lunch. The food was good, I got the Sirloin steak sandwich which was delicious, the bread was so soft. Afterwards we got Capuccino that was Aaaaamazing!!!!! Our waitress was great and very accommodating. Definitely would go back. My only complaint I had was the lighting in the bathroom it was a spooky dim, lol
I stopped in for brunch to kill time before heading to the Whitney museum. Friendly service; brunch menu was sparse (not a huge selection of differing options). Had the Southwest brunch bowl and passion fruit sangria. The sangria was refreshing, but the brunch bowl was way too bland for my taste - only took 2 bites and could not finish the rest. They only took 50% off my bill rather than removing the entire item. Won’t be coming here again for brunch, but maybe for lunch/dinner.
My new favorite restaurant! Not sure if they delivered to us before, but their expanded delivery zone allowed us to give them a try and boy are we happy we did. Their grilled chicken is the best. I order those in bulk and have them for lunch throughout the week. I usually pair it with the arugula salad. They have a ton of fresh veggie sides that make even my veggie-hating husband a healthier eater! :) My kids love the chicken fingers, mac and cheese, and hot dogs. We have not tried a single dish we didnt love. We will be ordering from them frequently!
The brunch was pretty good. Not amazing or impressive in any way, but pretty good. Ingredients are fresh. I liked how they used a hash brown in place of the english muffin, creative points there. Portion size could be better (for the benedicts, that is; I see the sandwich photos look pretty hefty). Outdoor setup was a little tight but understandable. I would eat here again, but I wouldnt rave about it.
My friend and I had sangrias plus apple pie & pecan pie here. I also had a lagunitas. This was before our actual dinner. Service was friendly and good. Were happy to find a place where we can sit and chat before heading home. Their outdoor space, although small, is perfect. Its not a bar. And we were not hungry yet so we opted to have what I stated earlier from their menu. We sure will be back.
Order a beer or their mint lemonade is one of the best choice to start your dinner here.I have to say the food is decent. The least healthy thing you can order here is a beef burger with fries which I did. Its well done and fries is prefect however too perfect for a healthy food restaurant. There is no tomato or lettuce so thats the negative. I suggest you ask. Vegan burger is decent but they breaks apart easily. The best spot to sit is the bar where you can get quick service and zero wait if a spot opens. The bartender is super nice but you got to give a little patience. They make coffee and non alcoholic drinks. Lemonade is the best which is not sugar at all.If you want a table, you might have to wait 30 minutes or more. To be honest, its not worth the wait than just take the bar seat.
There food is the best it’s delicious & healthy. They have the BEST MAC N CHEESE it’s sooooo good. I also love the grilled chicken, Parmesan asparagus, broccoli, & garlic mashed potatoes. The food is seasoned perfectly not bland at all. It’s worth every money it’s worth. I’m pretty sure there other food selections are just as good but these are my go to when I order from here.

Food was good. I had the skirt steak rice bowl and my friend had lemon shrimp. We shared sweet potato fries which were delicious. My only disappointment was the white sangria. It tasted more like a vegetable juice than a cocktail. Maybe leave the cucumbers out folks. Would definitely go back.
An excellent fresh eatery with plenty of vegetarian options. The food, especially the vegetables was great, and the service was outstanding. I would highly recommend any of the Westville locations to vegetarians or anyone who values quality fresh food. Keep in mind that prices are high, but you certainly get what you pay for, in terms of both food and service!
Good brunch/lunch spot if you’re in the mood for American food in Chelsea! I went around 11:30am Thursday and it wasn’t packed. I had the buttermilk avocado chicken sandwich with fries and it was yummy. I like how there was hot sauce at every table. After we finished around 12:30, the restaurant was packed! This restaurant’s good for a party of 2-4 people. Outdoor seating available. Drinks menu. Cute retro-style interior. If you’re in Chelsea, check this place out!
Excellent food and the serving portions! Came here with another friend and we both love our food! Their market plate was great and all things were tasty. I only managed to finish one third of the plateThe service was attentive and the atmosphere was great. It was a weekday lunch so the place was not very crowded.Overall a good for the value restaurant in the local area.
Great location in the heart of Chelsea. Delicious plates, good mimosas. The presentation of the plates was good. The service is really good. Our waitress was very nice, attentive and friendly. They have gluten free bread. They offer a brunch menu. Really cute place to grab some healthy food and share with friends some drinks. Totally recommend this spot.
Great place for Brunch, lunch and diner. The typical is the market plate: you choose a protein chicken/fish and 2 veg from the long list of fresh veg to choose from. For brunch, I love their egg plate or the california benedict on hash brown. Their burger and fries are excellent. Homemade deserts are top too. The staff is super nice and attentive. I go there at least twice a week. My favorite place in NYC. Come early, it gets busy quickly.
Westville has a few locations, but I like Chelsea neighborhood so this is the one we venture out to when visiting New York City. Food seems to be prepared with fresh produce along with very good meat selections so someone is paying attention to the quality on all ends. The place gets busy, but what decent place in the city doesnt? Easy to eat, always enjoyable!
Yummy food. Healthy food that is flavorful. Got the ceaser salad w/ grilled chicken. Good portion size. Worth it :) it does get busy here from time to time and no reservations for certain locations. Definitely a vegan spot with variety of vegan and other healthy options
I love places that more or less let you make your own meal! This place is ideal for a healthy yummy option- my friend and I ordered two sampler plates and it was absolutely delicious. Good for healthy eaters, vegetarians, low carb diet etc.My only complaint- the grilled herb chicken was really dry and not that flavorful. Wouldnt recommend.
Hip little Chelsea eatery with market fresh veggies. The Market Bowl is tasty, although a little pricey for a bowl of vegetables and rice. Still, hard to beat if youre looking for tasty vegetarian variety in the area. And dont worry, theres sandwiches for the carnivores, too!
My daughter and I ate here twice in our 5 day visit in Chelsea. So many times when traveling, it is hard to get well prepared vegetables that are not loaded with fat. Their menu allows you to order and pick sides or an entree of a bunch of sides. There are so many veggies to choose from. Our favorites were the cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, and asparagus, but everything we tried was delicious. My daughter was a huge fan of the parmesan fries and the pesto potatoes. You can also order a side of grilled chicken, which was a perfect amount with a plate of veggies.
Great to serve lots of vegetables and they were fresh BUT this place is only a 3! Downfall is no sound control. Decibels were in hearing loss range. This could easily be resolved. Wait staff friendly. Seating packed in a little too tight. Food prep and quality so so ....not awesome. Sorry. With so many choices am surprised this is rated as high as it is. Not a delectably memorable meal.
Had a small issue with the host at the beginning. They say they don’t seat until your full party is there but she then after telling us seated another party who didn’t have their full party there...Our service was excellent! Everything was efficient from taking our drink order to bringing the check. The food was delicious and my friends and I would for sure go back.
Perfect brunch spot for those looking for a rich, but equally healthy meal. Plates are medium-sized making it an excellent spot for sharing. Highlight dishes include the Kale Caesar (add salmon if you want a protein boost) and the ever changing DIY market plate!Tons of Gluten Free, Vegan and Veg options available!
If you want culinary amazingness youre better off elsewhere, but if youre having one of those days when you need to eat some veggies... This is your place! Most entrees come with two veggie sides, and the servings are generous. They do serve meat here too - even hot dogs.
This is our favorite Westville location. We walked in at 9P on a Thursday (no reservations at this location) and the place was packed but there was one last table for us! Nice focus on vegetables and shared vegetable plates. But there is plenty of meat if you need it. Friendly, efficient service.
Lovely restaurant - we went here as walk-ins on a Sunday morning as Foragers Table was full and Im glad we went here instead! The french toast was probably the nicest Ive ever had and their detox tea (fresh ginger, lemon, orange, mint, honey and cinnamon etc.) was lovely, and our waitress kept topping up with hot water which was a nice touch.
A favorite spot (both the chelsea location and Hudson location)! Fantastic variety of foods and uniquely cooked vegetables and proteins. Highly recommend the grilled chicken or salmon with 2 market veggie sides- reasonably priced and great variety of veggie options to choose from, usually including some good daily specials too. This location does not take reservations and isn’t huge, so be prepared to wait a bit on the street, or just eat at the bar which is pretty big.
LOVE THIS PLACE.... where else can you get great food (Fresh Veggies) prepared excellently and creatively with great pricing. The selection is so awesome here I could literally become a vegan and live off this place. As a busy professional this place is perfect compliment to my palate as well as my diet.
The food is delightful and wonderfully tasting. They see their wheelchair accessible but they have to get a ramp from the inside and it was very steep. This could be the Problem for some people. Also the bathroom door is a little too tight, it needs to be easier to open and close from a person using a wheelchair perspective.
Fresh, innovative Mexican/Southern fusion cuisine served with a smile. The food is to die for- and price-wise very affordable in a foodie paradise neighbourhood! Loved it here- be sure to check out Chelsea Markets afterwords for something sweet and awesome. Will be back!
We love this place!
This is my go to place when I wanna eat a wholesome meal. Their Salmon is probably one of top 3 Ive ever had. I always end up ordering the Salmon Salad - comes with this creamy dill dressing, I always order extra 😋I love their blueberry pie - tastes home made and a great portion to share!Wait could be long (not gonna lie, around 20 min at dinner time), but the staff is so nice and accommodating - when its cold out they serve hot cider or hot chocolate if youre waiting long.Highly recommended!!!
Great menu, lots of different options for all of the high maintenance eaters in your life. The hotdog people, the vegan people, the picky non adventurous, and then you; lots of variety, with high quality ingredients. Drawback is it’s always noisy, but so it goes with popular eateries in NYC. If you can get a table outside it’s a bit less uncomfortable noise-wise.
Great food, great prices and exceptional service. If you want unique tasting dishes, this is your go to place. Food comes out at incredible speed. You just have to try the brussel sprouts! Even if you hate them, these are not your average sprouts. Note: Theres no nasty after effects. Also, the quinoa burger was a big hit!
Popular spot with delicious food that still feels relatively healthy. Doesnt make you feel groggy and gross! Theres a ton of vegetable options such as brussels sprouts with honey dijon, broccoli with garlic, and roasted eggplant with cucumbers & tahini. I liked their turkey burger and they give you the choice to choose greens or fries!
My co worker & I probably order from here every single say. We loveeee Westville & often get teased about it haha. Its honestly so fresh & delicious & very much worth every cent. Delivery is always quick. Only thing I wished is they added a few more items OR even some awesome breakfast options besides brunch. Nonetheless I love Westville and highly recommend
Always a great lunch spot. Cozy up to the bar counter as there are plenty of seats during the lunch hour. Fresh veggie ingredients, great service, and a killer milkshake.Im a fan of the corn on the cob which has some nice mexican cheese and spices and their field greens go well as a side with the mains. Ive had the tomato soup which works well on a cold day and the steak and field greens salad. Filling and healthy.Sandwiches are great as well on their rustic bread which goes with a choice of sweet potato fries. Yum.
Came here for breakfast and it was great. Food was right. Service and ambience was right. Only downside is the friendly staff will ever so kindly tell you about other eateries in the area, as well as the best spots at the market; by that stage youre too full to fit anything else in ! I was up for the challenge though - went straight to the market and gave it a crack! :-) thanks guys
The steak sandwich was legit and the fries were awesome - that crispy perfection I love. Waiters were friendly and accommodating. Nice little neighborhood spot with vegan, vegetarian, foodie, and classic american options. outdoor seating, spots at the bar and tables.
I went alone and sat at the bar. I wanted something quick, healthy and delicious. Westville never disappoints. I was there around 6:30PM and it was packed. You can also order it to-go. Its always consistently good and fresh. I highly recommend it if youre looking for a weekday dinner spot that isnt too pretentious. I love the salmon and bok choy. Its amazing!
After a second visit I am very hesitant to sing the praises of this place. There is a ton of hype behind this place but after another uneventful meal Im content to venture elsewhere. On the positive side service is prompt abd attentive. I was greated immediately. My waiter helped me as soon as I sat down. My food even came out sooner than expected. So far so good. I decided on the sides combo plate, which was a decent portion.Thats where the compliments ended. The peas were ok, as well as the beet salad. The watermelon and feta was underwhelming to the point where it actually stood out. However, t he mushrooms were AWFUL! Not only were they dry and flavorless, they were barely warmed, not that would have done much. I tried to season them and add hotsauce but they were inedible. I asked to have them replaced with the garlic mash. The waiter was understanding and replaced them with no issue. The mash arrived but was equally bland. Its as though the food is made without the chefs tasting it. Very paint by numbers food. It may be healthier but quite souless.Suffice to say this place is not my vibe and will not be returning. Westville should maintain the staff they have, but definitely need to inspire the kitchen staff to cook the food with more love.
This place is amazing. They have fresh produce daily and wonderful specials. Their menu is like that of a diner but the quality is excellent. Their market selection provides wonderful variety on vegetables. You could eat just vegetables for dinner from Westville and be completely satisfied! Asparagus and Brocolli are wonderful!
Some people think westville is too hip to be good but I love it. Clean and simple but super duper tasty. The fact they have so many locations is a testament to the service and the kitchen and shouldn’t make you averse to eating at a “scene-y chain”. That said, I only go for lunch during the week or at weird hours because they get too damn busy. Always have a bar seat if you’re eating solo though. Also, I saw the trumpet player / front man from rubblebucket there one time so that was cool.
This place is PRECIOUS. Very friendly staff with a wide variety on their menu. The portions are very reasonable, which is usually a concern of mine when I travel and cannot keep leftovers. I recommend calling ahead as its a small place that seems very popular among locals. If I lived in Chelsea, I would come often.
Came here for an early dinner (around 6 pm) on a weekday. The place was packed but luckily there was not a wait for a table. Turn-around was pretty quick. The place is cozy -- maybe a little too cozy since it felt like we were right in the middle of other tables around us. The service was quick, friendly and on top of it.Ordered a Caesar salad as an appetizer which came in a medium sized deep bowl. Flavored really well with lots of parmesan cheese shavings and 4 small pieces of toast. The main entree was the Baja fish tacos which were good. The fish was nicely battered and the guacamole was fresh and zesty. They have some outdoor seating available during the summer time.
A casual neighborhood staple, Westville is great for health conscious but delicious, veggie-forward meals. Theres a little bit of something for everyone here, from vegans to meat- lovers. They offer a stellar selection of veggie sides, and I often default to the veggie side plate: you cant go wrong. The salmon salad is also excellent.
Westvilles Veggie burger is OUT OF THIS WORLD! It is hands down the best veggie burger I have ever had. I order it for delivery all the time and their delivery is wicked fast. Sometimes I try to be good and get it with a salad, but their fries are also some of the best in the city. The Westville Veggie burger is hand made, big, a little spicy and comes on some kinda of extra yummy bread. I love it so much...hmmmm....maybe Ill order it for dinner tonight!
I love every Westville for their delicious, fresh market sides. The Artichoke market side is a must! There is usually a wait for dinner, but I went on a Wednesday afternoon for lunch and was seated immediately which was nice. But if you go on a weekend or for dinner, plan to get there a little early to wait.
I have been ordering from Westville for past 4 years and always was happy. but lately they changed the policy so now you can not order souse/chipotle mayo on the side which is very uncomfortable, because most of their souses are with dairy. Plus was so upset to see full bowl of onions over my Mexican rice which was impossible to eat. It’s a message to managers, I would be more than happy to delete this review after improvements.
Ive dined here on two occasions, once, enjoying a vegetable plate and the other, to enjoy chicken palliard which was among the best Ive ever had. While this is a great location if youre with a varied group of vegetarians, vegans and omnivores, its simply not comfortable to dine with a large group as the tables are cramped and you barely have space for your wine glass once each persons entree arrives. The prices, however, are quite reasonable and the staff is friendly.
I have mainly eaten breakfast and lunch there. The food is great-- the produce is fresh and their menu is varied. Besides the main menu, they have a menu for side dishes which include sweet potato fries, grilled asparagus with cheese, broccoli rabbe, artichoke hearts with cheese, and more. During the weekends get ready to wait for brunch-- it is a popular destination in Chelsea for the weekend brunch crowd; however, the wait is worth it. The service is excellent-- waiters are nice and helpful. By far the best place for brunch in Chelsea. I have only ordered dinner twice for delivery and have not been disappointed. If you are in Chelsea for the weekend, definitely stop by for a bite--you will definitively be pleasantly surprised. Highly recommend.
Came here with a large group and was sat within 15 minutes despite the busy atmosphere. Quarters were cozy but service was prompt and helped us get out and to our show in a timely fashion. The menus are really varied -- one is focused on veggies and the other diner standards -- and I enjoyed both the BLT and roasted beets. This spot is a great option for parties with picky or diet restricted members.
You cant be seated unless the whole party is here even if its just the two of you. Even at lunch. And you dont get to pick your table just in case they need a better bigger one for another group. They can behave this way, since theres always a line. its also loud, and the tables are very close to one another. I dont like it. But its good food. Just order it, get it delivered, and eat somewhere else.
Went to brunch with a large group of friends. We had to wait a while to be seated since it was a large party (the place is small) and the entire party had to be in attendance in order to be seated.Although we had to wait, it was SO worth it! The food at Westville is awesome! We all ordered from the specials menu. I had the Kimchi Pulled Pork Sandwich with salad (the balsamic lemon dill vinaigrette is divine). It was a festival in my mouth! The dishes that others had were fabulous as well - Chilaquiles with Chicken, Breakfast Burritos, Crabcakes with Eggs Benedict...all good stuff!Just remember, Westville is small, so you may have to wait...you wont regret it.
I have been coming here for 8 oz char-grilled burger weekly, used to be so happy with the price and the quality taste of the beef, and always refer burgers lovers friends to try this restaurant out. but last Saturday went with my friends, was so disappointing about the tasteless, dry meat like from McDonald’s🙁🙁
First time here. Hostess said the wait was 10 minutes. We waited close to 40 minutes. Ordered the Brussel sprouts, they were amazing! Unfortunately, everything else not so much. The egggs had no flavor, French toast was under cooked, and there was PLASTIC in my brother and his boyfriends waffles! The positives, the food came out quick and the restrooms were clean. Probably wont be back.
Space is tight and there was a wait to get in when we were leaving, but I can see why it draws crowds. The food is fresh, healthy and delicious. I had lemon grilled chicken with miso glazed string beans and soy something-or-other bok choi and it was fantastic. My friend had a Ceasar salad and she enjoyed her meal, too. Would go back for the food, but not a place you can feel comfortable lingering.
Brunch is worth whatever wait you have to wait, for a table in that gorgeous sunlit space! I loved the nontraditional bloody mary, caramel pecan sticky bun, and a taste of my sisters croque madame, but my favorite thing I ate was a singular Florida white prawn, perfectly poached and served with aioli. That was something special. (At $3.50 per shrimp, it should be, too!)My only disappointment was the Monterey calamari with Oaxacan mole, which Id ordered as my entree, knowing it would be relatively small (and it was). The sauce was thin and tasted strongly of cumin, definitely not the rich cocoa and chile sauce I expected.Still, overall, Id love to go back. Too bad I dont live in San Francisco!
I could easily spend a month going through every item on the menu. Endless delicious and healthy items. Also found plenty of good options for the kids. They have some of the (if not *the*) best mac and cheese in NYC - perfectly done pasta and a mix of great cheeses. The pumpkin soup was to die for.
I had the California Benedict - and it was absolutely delicious. Perfection. My one and only complaint is how loud it is (even during brunch). They need to hang some acoustic panels or something to dampen the noise. Its impossible to hear someone right across a small table.
Good food. But their new ordering system implemented just yesterday is terrible. I placed an order, 70 minutes later no delivery. So I call, and they lie to me saying they tried calling me - they didnt. They didnt send the order because they ran out of beets apparently. So if you want to eat dinner and order delivery, dont expect these guys to be reliable.
Im not one to leave bad reviews, but heres one to start. My wife and I dined here Wednesday night. A quick meal before we went home. I had the chicken which wasnt bad and my wife the turkey burger. And that is where my two star rating begins. With current notice for possible e. Coli contamination Romain lettuce we asked the waiter if we could sub out the Romain for some other green ( green leaf, arugula, bib, whatever... Anything besides Romain) Thd waiter said let me check with the kitchen. FYI my wife is 7 months pregnant. We figured whats the big deal a simple sub. Waiter returns and his reply was sorry we cant... For the sake of not causing a scene over lettuce I figured Ill take my annoyance to the review board. the burger if youre came out with turkey patty on a bun with a slice of tomato.... Chik FIL A would have made even more of an effort in their product imho. Here is a note to you Westville. Be mindful of whats going on in the the world of food. Inform your staff on possible concerns! It should be treated no different than a deadly food allergy. Im not angry but more so disappointed. Disappointed that a restaurant that seems so health conscious and green in ingredients lack the the consideration for ingredients and the basic inability to sub out a basic green like Romain.
I dont know what that was but all I wanted was a turkey burger with some 🍟.The only thing I could eat was the fries, I never felt so sick. Im sorry but for $14 I didnt expect the meat to be roll up like a ball and water in it no I didnt, 1 slice of tomato one leaf of lettuce. I throw away the ole meal 😷

2022-01-08This is a winter review. We came in for outdoor dinning and brunch. The outdoor space is fairly bland, not cozy/comfy for outdoor dinning, some more plants or lights would add a little to the experience and same applies to the heat lamps, they could be lower to actually give some warmth. The food was good, but a little bland... We got the omelette, and the tomato was still raw (added at the end maybe?); We also tried the chorizo cheddar has which was good, but could have used a little more charring for the chorizo and veggies.Hot cocoa was tasty and very sweet.

2021-12-06Food is interesting and good, vegan options are a good addition. Kids also had a good meal so the dishes can be good for kids too. Its a nice small spot to grab some food like vegan burgers or grilled chicken.

2022-06-16The chicken for the tenders and the buttermilk fried chicken sandwich was wonderful. The parmesan truffle fries were okay, had kind of an odd taste, but a really nice texture.

2022-03-03I called to make sure they provided utensils with delivery. Man answering phone says , “THEY’RE INCLUDED BY DEFAULT” and then hangs up the phone. Well, here I am with a salmon dinner and no utensils. Chicken tenders are dry and rubbery and no hot sauce.

2021-06-15Great spot, really enjoyed our brunch here. Greek salami and French toast were both amazing. We made reservations and still had to wait a little bit after we got there, but we weren’t rushed at all once we got our table. Their outdoor set up is cute— covered in case of rain, open for covid safety, and we didn’t feel like the other tables were too close to us. Nice brunch spot if you’re in the area.
