This location is not on the app so I was unable to order online. No one picked up the phone when I called either. After ordering the 30 pack with cheese, 4 cheese fries, and an onion ring I was expecting to get the crave caddy as advertised online. The manager first told me I should have ordered on the app, but when u showed her they werent on there she insisted it was only a holiday promotion and I pay $10 for it. I showed her it wasnt a holiday promotion and all she simply could say was that I could pay for it. Horrible customer service and when I got home my food was no longer hot.
Looks a lot nicer than it did before the pandemic. Dont see how when they are taking in person and online orders, they have 2 people working and a cashier. understaffed.
They remodel and it looks amazing now and is no crack heads in there nether nor outside. sorry just had to say it 😫😫😫🙏
The characters these employees have to deal with on a daily basis is astounding from the rude to the down right crazy so it is somewhat forgivable when I sat in the dining area pretty soon after it was opened back up that it seemed pretty dirty from the previous night and remained that way for the remainder of my 2 or 3 hour stay.
April 2022 UPDATE: after being closed for remodeling - White Castle opened their renovated restaurant mid April. It no longer looks ghettofabulous. It actually looks pretty nice - bright and relatively clean from previous visits. Some notable changes were made:1- high tables were extended and shifted to make more room for standing and eating (should you choose to dine-in). Outlets were also added so you can charge your device while you eat2 - the seated dining room has been closed off. I believe it is now a private event room (or perhaps storage)3 - the customer bathrooms have been eliminated. There is NO BATHROOM for customers.4 - the plexiglass wall separating where orders are taken and food prepared has been removed. Its one open space now (thats what it feels like).The staff taking orders were new - it appears that folks from before were not retained. Well see if thats the case upon future visits. I hope the changes were not just cosmetic but improve the overall experience while getting your crave on.---------------------------Delicious burgers and sides made to order but this location is GHETTOFABULOUS. Be ready to fend off panhandlers and other vagrants and AVOID the bathroom if you can. Only the womens room works and its been that way for what seems like years.Get in - get the grub - and get out.

White Castle in Harlem/125th Street. The food is great ..the staff is good 👍.. but the place is in need of a makeover, it needs a scrub down, its nasty..When you go in, It smells sour & most of it is tape up like a crime scene. Cmon White Castle yall do better....But I do love the food!
The Worst!!! No fast in this food. I waited over 30 minutes for 6 itmes. Two of which were beverages, and once the order was complete the young lady dropped my food on the counter behind the plexiglass (where I couldnt reach it) and left it there or approximately 10 minutes. Until I complained and finally the manager gave me my cold food. Never again!

The slowest location Ive ever been to. The restaurant encourages you to place your order online or via the mobile app, but when you get there you still seem to wait more than 30 minutes. Everyone else that is waiting is also in the restaurant violating social distancing rules because you have to be near the front counter in order to hear them scream your order number. They need to take another look at this and create a faster, safer experience for customers.

Im a bike/driver i work for doordash & postmates i went to pickup one order;then when i arrived i surprised long line like 10 person then i asked the kitchen stuff if my order is gonna be ready soon and they said around like 20-25 minutes then i cancel the order. I wish they should hiring more personnel cause i sow only 3 people in the kitchen not enough.......
Terrible af!! I cant find the right words to horrifically explain how bad the service was. Just for a simple pick up of 3 sliders and fries took more than an hour, which ended up with order being canceled because of the excessive waiting time. Never order on a Friday night, or expect to waste your night waiting. Youre better off waiting on a line for some Jordans

The food isnt the worst and to be honest neither is the service. I just always feel bad for the ladies working there. They must be exhausted. My only other gripe is that the floor is oddly always sticky. Still, I feel like the staff are doing the best they can. Bless him.
Admittingly, at first, I had thought it was closed because their seating area was darkened with their chairs up. However, walking a bit further got me to their opening. Had gotten the impossible burger with their dairy free cheese. It was OK. Nothing to really be excited about. Would rather have their veggie patty. Cashier was good. The person handing off the order was dxtremely polite and kind. And told me to come back soon. Aww. Im not from the area but it was kind.
If I could change one thing...If you are a fan of White Castle you understand the process and why food takes time to get to you. This location, like most locations has friendly staff that work hard to get you your food quickly. Once you get your food, its fresh, juicy and worth the wait.However, there is one thing I would change. The amount of people just hanging around and asking for money is unacceptable. As a result, the seating areas can be really messy between the moments when the staff get to clean. Keep this in mind.Obviously these types of issues are not solved easily and the team with have to find a non-controversial way of addressing it. However, when they do...Simply put, order ahead and have your food delivered.
Had not had them for about five years due to moving out the city. They have added alot of new items nI did not have time to taste them. They could improve their service too long of a wait time.
Much, much better than it used to be. The cashiers are more friendly than before. You can notice a difference then in the past. Improvements are noticed.
Need more polite servers to make customers feel more appreciated at the register most of the workers at this location make you feel in the rush to order and make u feel unwanted there i mean I didnt choose the job for you have more patience during be polite to your customers its the customer service for me
Not gonna lie... I was craving castle for a while now but there are a few reasons I havent really gone there outside of the pandemic and it being a former drug addict hang out (former is important here). The seem to always take forever even with few people in the store. Not to mention they never seem to learn how to make a plain cheese burger. I will either get a plain BURGER with no cheese or a cheeseburger loaded with a crazy amount of onions. It makes it unappetizing
The food is supposedly very delicious just that the pizza is very hard and not as good as it used to be. Serving customecusis very slow even if there are only a few people they have poor service and not as tidy. You have not tables or anywhere to sit while you eat so you have to stand. But overall the employees are very nice and tje ice cream is quite good.
Late night service is awful. Their were only 3 customers in the place and no order ahead of me and it took 22 mins for a Medium-sized coke and 4 cheese sliders. Outrageous. Better to go down in a plane crash than to order from this hole.
The only dislike I have is that this location takes the longest amount of time to give you your food compared to the other locations Ive been too. The late night customers tend to leave there trash after dining in, which affects the appearance, but I understand that the employees are too busy to leave the cooking area and clean up after every nasty customer.
Love the fact that this place is 24/7. Decent food that you can order at any time. The white castle app also has online promotions (coupons) that wont be found in store.Cons: the lines/wait can get extremely long during certain times (usually weekends when the clubs/bars let out; think 4am 5am on a fri/sat night). Not the cleanest white castle location. Vagrants can be found lurking around/inside. No drive-thru at this location.

I stopped here to get my friend an order of 4 burgers and was disgusted, how there were gloves all over the floor. This place needs to be deep cleaned. Ill never order anything for me from this location.
Food is good and the workers behind the register but the place itself is just filthy. Garbage literally everywhere, on the tables, floor, garbage cans overflowed no napkins no straws no juice in the machines at all. Literally just good for take out definitely not to eat in.
Listen, I love White Castle. Those tiny sliders are cute and adorable. This place? This place was a slap in the face to the legend of White Castle. Half the restaurant seating wasnt even available, the drink machine wasnt even working and it reminded me of a morgue inside. Homeless people just seemed to walk in and out and it was eerily silent and devoid of joy. I still think the food is 5 stars in its own trashy way, but I couldnt even bear to order food there.
After being instructed to return an item there I was informed that the item had to be returned to the manufacturer. Also, most of the shelves were not adequately stocked. This review was for the Wal-Mart center in North Bergen
This place makes Mcdonald’s looks good. It takes almost an hour after you order to get your “fast” food. The burgers and fries are so dried out and microwaved it’s like an episode of Kitchen Nightmares come to life. There was pork bacon stuck on the bottom of my cheeseburger. I don’t eat pork. There’s was like one guy working there who actually seemed like he gave af about the food and service. Everyone else needs a wake up call.
The clerk behind the register took my order very quickly. Waited twenty minutes for my food. Kept seeing other customers come in after me, collect their food. Didnt get it at first, finally i got it. They forgot my order.😣
Always the place to grab a bite to eat at whenever Im in Harlem. Clean, quiet, and at times a small crowd. Even though its quite small, sometimes the seating area is closed which puts a damper on a trip there. Otherwise, good place.
Great white castle food in an excellent location. Close to various big name stored and major trains and buses as well. Having the dash app is a plus since its available here. The wait time is a little on the long side with all the business they get but still worth the wait.
They definitely need to hired more people. And the staff shouldnt have to work that hard. They only had two people working but they were very kind.
Everything was delicious except for the beyond slider. That needed help. But my chicken and clans were excellent.

Staff was very courteous. Order took a little more time mcd. Impossible Vegan Slider were amazing and beef like. Hopefully they can bring price down to 1.49
White Castles is a meal you have every so often. The only line open was extremely long, but I did enjoy my food once it arrived. Wait... Is it just me or does White Castle food always cleanse your system? Lol
White Castle is always great. The food here is fine but the place is as ghetto as it gets. The staff is OK, they just do their job. You cant really blame them if theyre not overly happy to be ringing you up for minimum wage. The problem is the place is a hang out for local crackheads who constantly ask for change. - My favorite is when they hold the door & expect to get paid for it...I can open my own door for free. - If you do actually sit down to eat, which I dont recommend, youll be sure to see at least a few drug deals or hit off a crack pipe. But whatever, its Harlem. You take the good with the bad here.
The place was filthy, plentiful with bums rummaging through the trash or stealing the fountain drinks from tossed cups. The bathroom was gross. I love the welcoming plexy glass the employees and customer have to try to communicate through, (we couldnt hear eachother) made me feel like I was In jail.
Food was what I expected. Service was slow, but staff was polite. But, the restaurant was filthy, the bathrooms were gross, and beggars were allowed to ask for change to customers standing in line. He asked me 3 of 4 times. I would take a 40 minute bus to a diverter location before Id go back there.
Most times when I go to this particular White Castle....there is a line combined with slow and nasty service. This time it was minimum crowd....and the worker were pleasant. Service was quick.
Staff work very slow putting orders together. Arrived 5:00 pm and left at 6:03pm.You will be there at least an hour waiting on line actually receiving your order. Dining room is a hot mess.
They are open 24 hours and they are very friendly and offer prompt service. Please forgive them if they might take awhile for your order since all of these food delivery apps have them bogged down.
They always quick and accurate... The problems are the bathroom is always out of order..tho I dont use public restrooms I do believe that the restroom should be accessible... So disappointing, I decided I wanted white castle for dinner i ordered 6 chz burgers, large sack chicken rings, & med juice. It was 8:07pm when I ordered It truly was upsetting i did not get my food until 8:32pm.

This particular White Castle on 7th Ave offers noticeably slower service than the other 2 I frequent in Queens... (88th/Northern & Hillside Ave)...but I gotta admit that the foods a little bit tastier here. The prep area is smaller.
Im not a fan but my boyfriend loves it. Its his happy place. You know when you go somewhere so much as a kid you just like going there. Thats him. Everytime I go theres atleast one homeless person there and I think they have bullet proof glass up at the registers. I dont know lol. A lot of the times the own workers dont know their menu, and when you tell them what you want they usually that doesnt come with that even when it would say it in the menu. If your new and asking question, dont. Im telling you now they DO NOT KNOW THEIR OWN MENU!!! They look up at the screen with you to see what your asking for. The soda machine usually only has a few options available, most are out of order (its one of those machines where u can mix flavors like peach Sprite. Or cherry ginger ale etc.)and theres only one toilet usually available if not locked.they have a seating area and from what I remember theyre open 24 hours. I only rate 2 because my boyfriend loves it and Im not really a fan so I dont think I can judge the food.
Poor staff.. you can tell they are struggling to keep up with orders. Limited resources for the establishment. However. The staff does try to be pleasant and fast.
Something amazing between how customers, staff, and the neighborhood all interact. I love White Castle, and received good service here but 30 seconds earlier I swore my cashier was going to beat down the previous customer.

Ordered the impossible Burger meal with onion rings. It tasted like it was cooked in old oil and on a grill that just had sausage cooked on it.
Food was standard White Castle, greasy cheap burgers, which is crap or great depending on what youre expecting. The food takes longer than expected, there were a lot of people just standing around waiting for their food to get out. I also had to ask for my drink twice. Also when I gave them a $20 for my meal, they asked if I had smaller bills, which was weird. They dont accept bills over $20.
I dont regularly eat at White Castles I can only recommend it as a place to eat when there is nothing else available. And the one thing (impossible burger) that I do eat from White Castles is not necessarily great and can use a lot more work.
Its one of the smallest White Castles that I have ever been in but the customer service is good and the cheese burgers are just as good as any other white castle that I have been in. Its open 24 hours just like all the castles are
You will not get your food on time ,they take too long,very slow workers minimum wait time 40 minutes for just 2 burgers ,i always walk out cause it makes no sense fast food
Service is bad. Gets order wrong many times but argue with you about what they heard. Disorganised crew . They started a new system of taking a name and the lady can barley hear anything and gives people wrong order

I suspect that as a NYer one either loves or hates Whit Castle. I am in the love camp. The sweet and savory sliders are probably a heart attack waiting to happen, but I still have them occasionally. This is the place that has them. The service is solid, if a bit slow. And the store should be cleaned a little more regularly. Most of the staff is usually hard at work churning out food.
Orders are made fresh. The years Ive experienced this location, theyve never got my order wrong.

It was horrible I order 4 cheese burgers and two fish with tater sauce and cheese I get my food and there no tar tar sauce on so go back up to the window with the fish and she like we dont put tartar sauce we have packets of it so Im like I dont want the fish now its cold and they use to put tar tar sauce on the fish she kept on insisting that to make me the fish over Im like ms I want my money back so she finally gave me my money I turn around to go back to finish my food and a homeless person was sitting and eating the rest of my food. Food was fresh, but its kinda crowded, at times, tables need to be cleaned more often. The bathrooms are clean, and meets ADA standards. The whole facility needs to be upgraded to meet Harlems 125th street crowd. Im suprised, at White Castles Marketing Specialist. W125th, has such new development, but, its still operating, below its tourism level. The food ordering space is crowded, the entrance to the seating area is narrow, and there are only two bathrooms, for male and female. The amount of people in the facility can run up to, 50 people in the food lobby ordering at once, people have to circulate, on the lines to stand in the middle and wait, for, their order, and move around those entering, the store to place orders.
Ok, but after I watched „harold and kumar go to white castle” I was really dreaming for this little burger and I’m disapointed. Restaurant was very,very dirty, bad smell, no working toilets. Burgers were very chemical and taste was not good.

Junkies that are high or just got high by shooting up in the rest room and homeless people stay in this place. I have been to this place manny, many times just due to its locations convience but the SLOOOW service and the junkies and homeless people really make me sick to my stomach. I love white castles but this is really making me reconsider continuing to eat from this franchise if the mgmt allows this to continue. It’s a shame because it’s in such a convient location for everyone. I think they should shutdown, get new mgmt to keep out the junkies, and allow other like myself the experience of enjoying our eating experience. I see alot of the reviews for poor ratings. This is White Castles people not a 5 star restaurant. White Castles is normally known for cheap late night I am drunk food . I visited this location on a Sunday around 2pm. Ordered 2 jalapeño cheeseburgers and small orange drink. Took more than 5 minutes. But when I got my food it was fresh and hot. Although next time I will probably order OnLine to avoid such a long wait. I gave them 4 stars. I WILL BE BACK.

Not clean dining area was dirty. Didnt smell pleasant. But the Cashiers were welcoming.

Harlem location..The older lady there is really unfriendly n rude...Could be alot cleaner as well.Just to add we always get a sack of 30..she indivisually added my order like 15 & 15..got higher price..rather than sack of 30... Dont like her...

Service is prompt but the food is not always as fresh as claimed. I recommend ordering during the daytime hours as the food seems to be better.

The store is missing chairs and doesnt look so clean. The only drinks they had available were Coke, Diet Coke, Iced tea. I asked for bottled water and they didnt even have that. Worst White Castle I have ever been to.

2022-05-09Food order was very slow despite having, at least, four employees working & I was one of only two customers at the time. Maybe waited 20 minutes? All was forgiven once I received my order; the classic combo of two double cheeseburger sliders, fries and a Sprite. Food was extremely hot and fresh, made-to-order. The restaurant was also newly renovated...looked real fresh, modern and was very well-lit & clean. Ill definitely be back!

2020-11-03The kitchen was disgusting wasted food was every on the counter and floors and trash on the ground the workers looked depressed (I dont blame them) and the food tasted like mushed up undercooked leftovers. For sanitary reasons alone I dont know how this place stays in 2020. Id stay away from this place even if youre on a budget theyre are way better options out there. Youre body will thank you later. (The fries were good though) 👌

2022-04-19The place (floor)was dirty but thr food was fresh and tasty. If you eat the (double) cheese burgers. I highly recommend you get them steamed. It make the burger taste better and the bread softer.

2019-08-02Im a hardcore vegetarian and when I got to know this place serves veggie burgers too, I didnt think twice and went straight ahead but to my surprise they served me beef/classic burger. I didnt realize it was the classic one until I went to repeat my order where i got to know I just had the classic burger.Now am a hardcore Non vegetarian.Thank you white castle.

2016-12-09Big fan of the Harold and Kumar movie series so seeing this place brought a huge smile to my face. Got four classic tiny burgers plus fries. Nothing special about the food. Service was not particularly friendly. Glad I got to experience the place but probably not coming back.

2022-01-25Harlem baby!!!!Wooo.Stood at the Marrakech hotel,had to stop by there later than usual,or I had the option for McDonalds,so skipped McDonalds for White Castle.They are so rare anywhere else,but the vibe in Harlem that night,and the area itself was chill,but that was last year over the summer.Gotta ride bike throughout Harlem.Such a great feeling.

2021-09-03Everytime I come home to NY, I have to stop at White Castle. First time visiting the one in Harlem. No dining in, take out only. Be ready to encounter panhandlers outside of the store asking for food and/or money. Otherwise, get your crave on.
