WOW! This theater is one of my all time favorite local spots. It really is some of the best professional theatre outside of NYC that I have come across in recent years. Was lucky to catch their productions of Little Mermaid and Tarzan and my whole family (including my young ones) were amazed by the production. Also, the fact that they still value hiring a full pit orchestra is outstanding and such a treat to listen to as an audience member.
This was a great performance of the newsies. The energy was great on stage. My friend and I went. The man next to me was great, but the crowd left something to be desired. The stage and I were at a 5 and the rest of the crowd was at a 1/2. Not the performers falt they did wonderfully.
Outstanding live-theatre productions that dependably reaches the quality and standards of Broadway productions. Theatre-buffs, or any fans of live musical performance, should take advantage of this regional venue.Their Mainstage and special events will certainly exceed your expectations. Tickets are remarkably affordable. Subscription holders get even greater value.Musical director and producer, Stephen Ferri, has been delivering a steady string of spectacular Mainstage productions. The shows feature equity NYC performers, musicians and design talent. Elaborate stage sets are visually stunning. Sophisticated sound, lighting and tech systems make it a first class experience.A cozy, yet good-sized, theater, even the least expensive seats offers great views. The venue is fresh and modern. Isles are wide. Seats are comfortable and roomy. This place is a gem. We are grateful to have this level of live entertainment so close to home, and so reasonably priced. This week we saw Newsies. Knocked our socks off. Looking forward to Sideshow.

2021-12-25The White Plains Performance Arts Center is a premier and spectacular performing arts theater in White Plains, New York.It has featured numerous classic and modern theatrical shows, Broadway musicals, concerts and other performing attractions. In December of 2021, I brought and treated my wife and myself to see “A Christmas Carol” at the White Plains Performance Arts Center.“A Christmas Carol” is superb Christmas theme musical and my wife and I enjoyed the show from start to finish. The cast performed brilliantly in every aspect.Their acting, singing and dancing was flawlessly executed and highly entertaining!!!What my wife and I love most about the White Plains Performance Arts Center are its seating, because it is very comforting, provides great spacing between you and fellow patrons and positions you with great views of the stage no matter where you sit. Both my wife and I definitely give two thumbs up to the White Plains Performance Arts Center and highly recommend that you visit and watch a performance at this great theater!!!

2020-01-04Yes please!! My twelve year old son and I just saw Newsies, a bona fide Broadway show... in White Plains. Ive been to many shows on Broadway and this was just the same if not better and more intimate! The cast was *phenomenal*. The set and the music were fantastic as well. I may go see it again. It was that good. Seize the day everyone!

2018-12-23Just came back from beauty and the beast. The theater was surprisingly modern and clean. The seats are much more comfortable than the theaters in the Manhattan. The show was great! A must see! With the theater being smaller you get to be closer to the actors and can see the details in their costumes. Will definitely be back.

2018-12-23The theater is great! From seating to production. We just saw Beauty and the Beast. Bravo to all involved! It was really like being on Broadway for a fraction of the cost. Second row center for $45 and parking @3.00?! We had big smiles on our faces from start to finish!

2019-01-07Wow, I have seen several productions at he the theater and Beauty and the Beast was by far and away the best! WPPA is a great place to see a show, the staff is always friendly and helpful and every seat in the small intimate theater is fabulous! Kudos to the staff and talented actors and actresses. I cant wait to see the next production!

2019-10-28To sum up, its comfortable, clean, and nicely staffed. Ive seen a few musicals and plays in the last nine years. Some of them were in off Broadway theaters. Some were for big shows. The last play was in the Shubert theater in Manhattan. The Shubert theater, although visually nice, was brutally cramped in every way. Not so in this theater. The seats are large and comfortable with so much leg room that someone could enter and leave the row without disturbing people in their seats.Another plus that crushes theaters in Manhattan, is parking in the lot for a tiny fraction of what it would cost in NYC.

2019-01-05We just saw beauty and the beast and although the show was amazing the actors are awesome and the theatre is great all seats are good seats. On the other hand the box office staff is rude and a disgusting attitude towards paying patrons. I was first advised I was not able to bring my daughter to a Disney themed show due to her age. I advised their website showed no such restriction. After numerous nasty phone call interactions with them advising that my child is unable to sit through an event. I hung up to see they updated the website after our last conversation. On the day of the showing, after the show you can take photos with Belle, my sister and I went to take photos and were scolded to hurry up and move to make room for the kids. This is a shame that paying patrons are treated this way my the box office employees and the show was so wonderful. Unfortunately I will never be returning. I refuse to give our hard earned money to such rude individuals who clearly were never educated on customer service and common decency.
