Whole Foods Market in other cities:
Spacious and wide selection. Ample parking above and below ground. One of the best Whole Foods I have been to in the ny metro, abundant fresh flowers, all major counters needed. One improvement would be to keep the cart wipes fully stocks so that all customers can wipe down their cart before using.
Update 5/12/22 Still good. Upper Floor dining area is not opened yet. You see a lot of Amazon Delivery folks collecting products for customers. Its good for what it is. Has some unusual items. I like their Deli Counter and variety of Roast Beef they carry. They also have some very delicious Spring Rolls in their hot, buffet section. I noticed that on weekdays the store is less busy because they dont have the hot/cold/salad buffet and the Deli, is less well stocked. My advice is that its better to go to the store on a weekend, because there is more on offer.
I stopped in at 9am on 11/5 opening day.Go-live hiccups:1. Security guard at parking lot entrance stopped every car, resulting in a car queue. When it was my turn, he directed me to a different lot. There was plenty of open parking in front of the store, so naturally it was confounding. Another employee came forward and waived me into main lot. Apparently, it was a screen for WF delivery shoppers/employees and the guard assumed I was one.2. Entrance doorway: There are two(2), and I made the mistake of parking at the North (left when facing front of store) entrance. An employee directed me to the South entrance. I saw no signs saying exit only.3. Store was filled to 80% capacity, mostly with Whole Foods delivery shoppers. I avoided several aisles due to crowding.4. Self-checkout system failure at the end of the scanning process when an employee tried to void an item. Unable to fix it, I was directed to use a different machine and rescan everything.Positives:1. I received a free coaster & tote bag.2. I no longer have to drive to Jericho. All in all, Whole Foods has created more local jobs and grocery competition - a win for the community and consumers.
Theres something weird about this location. I have never been to Whole Foods, where the cashier will only scan the items and not bag them. It has happened to me more than once. The cashier will throw a bag and finalize the payment, and thats it. Then starts scanning the next customer. Am I lost? What happens here? Why is the cashier rolling her eyes, almost rushing me to bag my items? Am I at Shoprite? There is a reason why they call this whole paycheck; I would assume that they also bag items. No?Visually the place is beautiful. Sad that they barely clean the upstairs. The white tables are dirty, and the bathroom rarely has paper towels. I feel like this location needs a reboot—better management and staff. However, I must say that some gems are mixed in with the bad ones.Update: I was there today, July 16th, and when you thought it couldnt get worse, it does. The lack of help at this location boggles me. Ok, I empathize with a stocker not knowing where things are; however, customer service! I forget her name; she was so unhelpful and rude. I will get her name and update it here at some point. Lastly, behind the dairy section where the eggs are, they were blasting inappropriate music. Children are walking around with their families. What happens here? It still feels like children are running this location.Ending on a cheerful note, the young woman at the register was lovely, and the security guard was super helpful.
I shop at Whole Foods Market every chance I get. It offers products that you cant find in other food markets. The diversity and quality of their merchandise are amazing! I always walk out of the store with more items than I was planning to buy. Customer service is spot on. I wish there was a store closer to where I live, but when Im nearby, I always take the time to visit.
Love shopping here because it’s conveniently located but the only issue I have with this store is that I purchased cold cuts a few times from here and the turkey smelled and tasted awful. The corned beef was extremely salty. It’s sad because I had to throw it out and it was costly for me. Hope they can improve with the deli department.
Hi,During my usual saturday shopping at this market on 3/12/2022, between 11 am and 12 pm,I experienced Microaggressions by two employees, in seafood section and meat section on the same day.at Seafood section, a white woman with ponytail, a little taller than other women, served me who buying a bag of muscel and 4 oysters. She asked me to hold a muscel bag without plastic back that means water dripping; when I asked a plastic back for it, she just threw a used plastic bag to me. When I touched it, the used plastic bag was very sticky, not pleasant smell. I asked her new bag but she complained that there was no new plastic bag. But I saw a roll of plastic back in front of her; the other woman took my muscel and put it in to a new plastic bag.The white female employee with ponytail just returned back to back door.At the meat section, a male employee served me; before me, he was serving other peole. When it was my turn, he just looked at a white man who came after me, and asked him what do you want, Sir. The white man said that I was before him. I noticed that the male employee knew I was waiting before the white man, because I had an eye contact with the male emloyee and he asked me to wait. When I had an eye contact him and he asked me to wait, the male customer wasnt there. The white male customer was at seafood section while I was there and bought a bag of muscle ; at the seafood section, a male employee served him; the male employee put the muscle bag to a platic bag and handed it to him.I really want to believe the whole food would make sure they provide proper training to their employees but I dont know why whole food employees conduct the inappropriate microagression toward the people of color. The experiences are not the first time for me; I am not sure if other peole of color had same expereinces.I really hope the whole food culture would be changed in coming days.
This location is more modern and spacious than my usual location in Jericho. But I gave this store 4 stars because the bakery here is no where near as accommodating as Jericho for Vegans. Jericho has so many more options for deserts than this store. Hopefully, theyll catch up...This is an update:The bakery options for this location are growing. I sense that once these supply chain issues are mitigated, things will be even much better!!!
Huge selection of just about everything. Store is extremely clean and easy to negotiate. Yes, its pricey. But if you want top of the line, unique items m and a large selection, this is a place to try. Tons of organic selections, and they sell wild caught shrimp from the Gulf of Mexico, not imported from some country in Asia.
Product selection is good but the hot bar is lethargic. Nothing ever seems fresh and nothing looks appetizing. Taste is bland. As a last ditch effort you go try to get a pizza slice but all pizzas look like they have been sitting there all day. Other Whole Foods are nicer.
For being the first time visiting the store I can say I was well surprised. The display of the store was nice, everything was very easy to navigate through. Produce department was really great. One of the workers was very helpful in finding an item for me in the back. I was very pleased with my experience, everyone was so nice and welcoming. For sure will comeback in the future.
I have been to plenty of Whole Foods on Long Island. However, this one here in Carle Place is in a league of its own. The staff are very friendly and attentive; the atmosphere is thriving; the store itself is neat and clean; a huge parking-lot and parking garage; theres nothing else to say. I was excited to have seen this Whole Foods being developed, needless to say, it lived up to my every expectation (the upstairs seating/eating area also has huge glass panels which overlook the entire parking lot into the shopping center right across the street - its a very nice touch).
Unfriendly staff and small for a Whole Foods. The store seems to be lacking some of the features that I’ve enjoyed at other Whole Foods. I’ve asked staff where certain items were and most didn’t know or seemed to busy to be bothered. Maybe under staffed or poor training. I decided to get a late to go and the barrister was not friendly at all almost surly. He asked what type of milk I wanted and then proceeded to roll his eyes at my response. The guy seems to hate his job and people in general.I got one of the breakfast sandwiches while I waited and all they had were bacon, egg and cheese. I decided at this point not even to ask, it’s not worth it. I went upstairs and took the bacon off and threw it away. I probably won’t be back. Disappointing, the store has so much potential. There’s a Trader Joe’s across the street with a more knowledgeable and friendly staff.
Nice clean store but it’s hard to find an employee to ask for some help. They have a lot of organic items and some great prices which is awesome. The cashier who checked me out was not pleasant at all.I hope I don’t have to go to her next time I’m there. It’s like she doesn’t enjoy her job. While I was trying to get some yogurt one of the employee just wanted to push ahead of me to help another customer. He couldn’t even wait. So rude. Some of the employees should learn from Trader Joe’s employees and be a little more pleasant.
The best food service I experienced in my life while food shopping was yesterday when I came here. This location is beautiful!! I was helped in the bakery department by a nice lady. The meat department guy was extremely helpful he suggested I try they honey Buffalo chicken Delicious! I then went to the seafood section the staff I had went over and beyond she was super nice and helpful. She went to the back to grab me bigger crab legs. She was so patient with me. Checkout was a breeze very pleasant and bags double bagged ! I will travel to this location twice a month from now on. :)- P.s the fruits are so fresh and juicy!
Great experience didnt have time to go through the whole store. However I did buy herbs and vegetables fruit that I needed. Only problem I forgot my avocados. Ill have to go back at a later date to reclaim them with my receipt. I am waiting for the time when I could order online using my EBT card.
This was the WORST Whole Foods Ive EVER been to. Very little to no parking to start. I had to park in the banks spot. I entered and there literally was no prepared food or selections. The buffet stations were empty. Like one or two things. The counter section of food had only a handful of workers and most work areas had no food. It was so depressing looking. To top it all off, the lines were so long and stagnant. The lines in 14th Street, Columbus Circle, and Williamsburg have crazy long lines but you are moved along very quickly. Will never visit this location again. Im better off going to Trader Joes across the way.
This feedback is based on picking up Holiday Catering for Thanksgiving. I came at 7pm the night before the holiday and was greeted by a very friendly staff dedicated to supporting pick up orders. All were hustling, friendly and attentive. A special thanks to Daiki who volunteered to run out into the cold and grab me a shopping cart since I hadn’t thought of it ahead. That was above and beyond. Nice that the store had enough staff so it wasn’t mayhem. (One piece of constructive feedback is that I had trouble finding some of my other Thanksgiving staples bc random items were in feature locations like pumpkin purée but then no evaporated milk or spices nearby… I think Stop and Shop did better putting all of the common items in Holiday feature displays)
Gotta be honest, I didn’t enjoy this location. I’m a huge fan of Whole Food’s Mac and cheese but it looked so unappetizing just sitting there cold. They didn’t have most of items that I find at other Whole Foods like Bologna from the meat department, tator tots, or the mini bagels. The coffee from the cafe was amazing!! This location was just odd, It was so empty. Oh and they don’t bag your groceries. I’m sticking to Jericho’s location
I have never been to such an awful whole foods. The person working the checkout was so unbelievably slow it took over 40 mins to check out 3 people that were standing in front of me. Just standing there watching how long long it took her to look up an item was unreal.
Extremely unfriendly staff .. Employee name Oniel or Daniel decided to tell me “you could’ve got it yourself” after I asked him to reach for something on the top shelf that he was standing directly infront of while doing nothing but talking to another coworker. The next employee lied saying there was no manager on the floor after I asked if where I could speak to one.Not exactly expecting 10/10 service while shopping for groceries but that was the rudest level of customer service I have experienced. Never coming back here
Store is spacious and easy to walk to compared to other WF locations. They have fresh produce, chilled goods and self checkout. Just be careful walking through the parking lot, there are a lot of customers who cant be bothered to curb their entitlement. Nearly got hit twice.
On the higher end of price for places to get your groceries, but youre certainly getting your moneys worth for it. The selection is generally quite broad, especially for produce, cheese, and meats. They pride themselves on having a lot of organic options in case thats something that you are looking for. Staff are friendly and very helpful. This may be just because its new, but this place is busy! So try and pop in at off hours for your own convenience. They run a smooth system though and keep everything moving, and the parking lot is decently sized, so you shouldnt have too much issue finding a spot even if its busy.
I freaking love this store. I love how bright and welcoming it is to walk through those automatic doors. I love their fruit display and their flowers. Thank you for always having my Flow water available. Thank you for recognizing NYU LANGONE employees we love you for that. This is the best place to grab and go a healthy work lunch. Always the best varieties of different meal options. I love this store. Thank you
Whole foods as a whole (No pun intended) is an awesome supermarket chain . This location always has a fresh selection of produce. The hot food is tasty ,however I did find a hair in the cooked brussel sprouts which I was not to happy about. I guess it happens from time to time yet its still gross.Other than that its a great addition to the neighborhood.
The Whole Foods experience last night was a stark reminder that I am getting old!!! I have come to a place in my life that I need to eat better to be healthier. I never spent so much time reading ingredients. But good health is hopefully at the end of all this tediousness. And Whole Foods is the place for the journey to begin. It was expensive though! But medical care is worse. Ill definitely be back!!!
Beautiful store with a huge selection. I was very impressed by the shelves of handmade pottery near the gorgeous display of orchids. The size of the departments really makes it easier to get all of my produce without feeling rushed, or crowded and claustrophobic, which has been a serious detractor at Manhasset and Jericho. The selection of vegan/plant based items was also a pleasant, welcome discovery, and makes shopping for groceries a pleasure. Ive visited different Whole Foods in NYC and Long Island, Oregon, and California, and the Garden City store is truly impressive. Keep up the good work!
OVER PRICED!!! I thought with Amazon taking over this market chain the prices were supposed to have come down. Its as expensive as ever if not more so.This new market is huge, bright interior, well stocked, many different stations to select from. In these Covid-19 times I was surprised to see they did have open self serve bars. That turned me off. Other than the breads at the bakery the other items looked almost plastic and unappetizing. The associates on the floor were very helpful & did know their areas well enough to help us find what we wanted. Thank you for that. The selections of ... well, lets take ice cream as an example, was fabulous this store offeres a much better selection than at their much smaller Manhasset location. The self checkout registers are a full out hassle!!! Though there was a considerable wait, I aborted the self checkout for an associate run checkout ... Ahhh...much more simple.Nothing about this this chain or location gives me reason to return. Ill stick to my North Shore Farms ...
This is a beautiful large new store filled with the high quality groceries everyone expects from Whole Foods. Unfortunately it feels as if I am shopping in an Amazon warehouse. Regardless of when I come, the aisles are packed with employees stocking shelves and with personal shopper chatting on their phones while they rudely push past you to fill their current order. It’s an unpleasant in-person shopping experience.
Visited the day before thanksgiving and they were still working out some kinks with the PrimeNow order pickup. Got sent all over the place trying to find my order, which ended up being incomplete. However, in terms of in store shopping the selection is great, just keep in mind not all the employees know where things are. Tons of plant based/vegan selection 👍🏽👍🏽Worked my issues out with the manager who was very kind and I have high hope they will get everything in order and get better everyday.
Check the dates on your items. This is the 3rd time in 2 weeks i bought items that were past expiration.I bought a fig pistachio spread and it was sold 3 days past sell by date. I bought prepackaged pepperoni and it was a day past sell by date. But this last buy of valentines day petite fours was appalling. I bit into one and it was really stale. I noticed white on it and it was a Christmas petite four redecorated with a heart. I expect better quality and responsibility from a place that is price higher than other groceries.
I’d definitely come here weekly for the great butcher and produce selection! However, a little disappointed with some of the selections (not a large variety of beans / healthy snacks). All the workers were very nice, but make sure to cut them some slack as it just opened.
A co-worker suggested sushi for lunch and this is where we ended up!!! Talk about a foodies paradise♡ From the olive bar to the bakery to the selection of organic drinks to consume... I fell HARD! (Yes its a bit on the expensive side but its well worth it!)Planning my next visit--
The place is clean, the one in Garden City on Old country road. When you walk in there is a fishy smell..but thats to be expected if you sell seafood. That is not why Im writing this review. So the store made salads are disgusting...the lettuce is not washed and there are bugs in the salad. I thought the first one was a fluke but the second salad was disgusting too, not washed. Whoever made the salads, and I know Wholefoods make the salads themselves did a bad job. I wouldnt be complaining if the salad didnt cost 8 dollars...Ive had pre-made salads before and never had this problem until now 🤮
Beautiful store with a few shortcomings. Despite having a deli section, the deli section doesn’t make sandwiches. At the Clearwater, FL, they will make you a sandwich. Also, the hot meat section, where they do make sandwiches, can’t make a sandwich if they run out of their bread. You can’t go to a shelf and get another piece of bread or roll, they simply won’t make the sandwich. The employees need to be encouraged to take the initiative and prepare whatever the customer wants. They all seem inexperienced and afraid to make even a simple decision or think outside the box as far as getting a piece of bread.
Great experience with each associate from the cleaning crew to person stocking the shelves they were all kind knowledgeable the directons spot on.Cashier young pleasant respectful.I look forward to visiting again.P.S. to the mending security and directing the traffic flowing and the time you took to wave.
I dont know what Bezos is doing with Whole Foods but this place is a joke. Nothing really exceptional here, very run of the mill options. The butcher seemed really good but my local butcher has better cuts of meat. It was also very busy with amazon prime shoppers and instacart shoppers. Just a very weird scene. I wont be going out of my way to go here.
Not impressed with whole foods anymore. Amazon bought them over and promised a whole lot of things and have not delivered. Prices are still the same, no change in products, no exciting products. I think Lidl is the new name in town and stealing the groceries game hands down!
I placed an online delivery that never came. This order had our dinner for the night. They updated the status that a shopper was packing the order at about 9pm, so I waited all evening until it was close to midnight. The delivery never came. I called Amazon, and they confirmed it was an error on the stores end. I then finally received a cancellation email from Whole Foods at 11:10pm. . Why wait this long to update me? There wasnt even any consideration to reschedule the delivery. This is unacceptable and disappointing.
This is the place you want to go to for proper social distancing. I went two hrs before closing and I was very comfortable with how people werent in my face like they are in other stores. They had all the things I went there for and more. So many keto-friendly things. I think they have the most out of any other store. Is it more expensive than other places, yes, it most definitely is. But is it worth not having people in your face, and finding things youd only find online? Totally worth it. The staff is helpful as well. And can we talk about the prime location? Their scout did a great job, because its the best location!!! Trader Joes, Walmart, target, ulta, Costco, Marshalls, and off the 5th are all right next door. I can get absolutely all my shopping done lickity-split! Its the fastest way to go. Now all they need is an Aldi, and Im never going to another place to shop again.
90 minute parking limit (which is more than enough time). One of their associates, David, saw me by the flower section holding up a broken face mask to stay covered. He graciously offered me another one. #DavidRocksThe second level is gorgeous and spacious seating area. The sales on the fresh flowers were amazing. Running until the end of Nov 10th. Beautiful potted herbs for $1.00 on sale.No hot food buffet being served. Due to covid. They have an amazing Oat Milk dispenser. The location is a 5 min drive (longer if it is peak time on weekends) away from Costco, Walmart, Trader Joes.
This was my first time shopping in a Whole Foods. Fortunately, its in nearby Westbury, theres a large parking area and its easy to access. The store is divided into sections for Seafood, Butchered Meat, Bakery, Produce and Fresh Food. The store has a second level where you can go to sit down and eat.Frankly, I do appreciate the wide range of organic, Keto friendly, and paleo friendly food sectioning, but I found shopping here to be a bit overpriced and not as pleasant as shopping at Uncle Giuseppes in Melville. The difference? Whole Foods felt far more corporate to me. It was obvious by how many people walk around with badges for Amazon/ Fresh Direct and other online food services. Whole Foods feels a bit impersonal. Meanwhile Giuseppes has the best produce, Seafood, Bakery, Candy shop and Deli Ive ever seen.I did like shopping at Whole Foods, but there were many key items that I couldnt get there which caused me to go to Trader Joes instead.Fortunately, Trader Joes, Whole Foods and Home Goods are all directly next to each other in the same square.

2022-04-04I generally like Whole foods and this local is nice and new. However, their hot food section as well as deli counter leaves much to be desired compared to their other locations.I come around 12 or 1pm on week days and many of the stations are empty or have the most basic items like chicken fingers and Mac and cheese.... Even the fridge lacks sandwich options.Whats going on?

2022-02-20An experience. I do not go to Whole Food normally because of the expense but wanted to give my kids, mom, and myself the experience. Everything was clean, organized, staff so polite, and although a bit pricey the products that I got were worth it. My kids had fun and thats what matters. I will go back again. Wesbury/Garden City area.

2022-05-27I started shopping here about a year ago and have been going almost weekly and spending hundreds of dollars a month. A large part of the draw and convenience for me has been my ability to self checkout quickly and efficiently. I was informed today that the store policy has changed and any more than 15 scannable units ( each package of anything packaged is 1) needs to go through a cashier. The explanation was that customers, of course not you sir, have not been paying for items. The irony is I regularly see employees standing around NOT paying attention. In fact today I was made to wait about 5 minutes at the food counter while 2 employees behind the counter were having a conversation. So instead of properly training and managing their team (perhaps to watch more carefully or help with larger orders if there has been a theft problem), they inconvenience good customers like me and in doing so move me to find a better shopping experience elsewhere. Pretty incredible in a world with near endless shopping choices.

2022-06-29My happy place! Never had a negative experience. The staff are all super nice & helpful, the store is immaculate and very well stocked. The selection at this location is very good as well. Sometimes the Manhasset location (closer to my house) doesnt have everything I can find here

2022-03-01I have been going to this Whole Foods on my lunch hour, and enjoying the Hot and Cold Food buffets. Until recently. Almost all the food is now old, and looks it. The food looks dry, discolored and quite unappetizing. Like theyve had these trays out for a week or more. Cheap slop (only its not cheap). I have stopped going here on lunch, and I tell fellow workers to do the same.

2022-03-18If you like organic food this is your place. Clean, well organized. Everything looks good, veggies and fruits are fresh, I had a great experience coming here for the first time. I am definitely coming back.

2022-05-03Love it! Clean. Good variety. Hot food quite tasty. Love the idea of shopping, grabbing a hot lunch and being able to sit and eat it there in mini cafeteria!! No rush! And shopping mall directly across!

2022-06-04I agree with O M. There are many good and helpful employees working at the Westbury location. Alas, there are a few bad apples as well.Ive also noticed the attitude during the check-out process; including almost throwing scanned items, waiting for the customer to pack their groceries, and to do it fast enough, so the cashier doesnt get annoyed. At the Bakery section, expecting customers to slice their own bread is a bit over-the-top.Also, during my last visit the quality of the produce was less than average. There were multiple boxes of strawberries with partially molded fruits inside, organic broccoli was old, lettuce was old and limp, etc.Im not sure Ill be shopping at Westbury location in the future. I prefer the Manhasset location. Although the store is small and cramped, the people working there are great!

2022-07-02I just wanted to give a shoutout to Yusef (apologies if that is misspelled) at the fish department - He was really enthusiastic and willing to give advice on cleaning and preparing steamer clams. He also did a great job descaling my salmon. He made the shopping experience a positive one!
