Whole Foods Market in other cities:
Ive never been inside the store since I dont drive but they fulfill my delivery orders and these guys do a fabulous job. The prices vary by brand - the 365 brand and conventional produce prices are lower than my local supermarket, plus there are some Prime specials, so I cant complain. The selection is a little less than in Manhattan stores, but I can still find most products I need, including exotic foods/ingredients, and its by far a better selection than my C-town, especially for vegan foods. I thought Amazon was going to ruin Whole Foods, but it feels like its gotten more reasonable with prices instead, and I absolutely love the delivery service, its made my life so much easier.
This is a nice Whole Foods. I really appreciate their friendly staff. They are always nice to help you find items on your list. Also, they have a nice selection of coffee beans that are roasted on premises. If you go to the back of the store, next to the cheese section. They have a growler filling station. The prices are reasonable.
Pricey , but good organic food is worth it. Plenty of choices at bakery. My faves: Macaroons ( all flavors), mini 2$ versions of the cheesecakes( mango, raspberry, chocolate....)Plenty of parking, gives you 2 hours of free parking with purchase of 25$ or more, as well as free parking for Amazon returns.I also like the amazon lockers for pick up. Very convenient.
Whole Foods is one of my favorite supermarkets. However things are not being kept up. I hope the staff re evaluate the store and start to clean and put things back in order. Fresh peanuts, almond butter area is nasty and its not organized. The labels are not properly on the containers and are you really getting organic nuts?
What a horrible experience. I waited for 30 minutes to check out at customer service then when I get there they refuse to ring me up because I have more than 10 items. I beg them to ring me up since I’ve been waiting for so long. So I’m waiting in another line that’s bound to be 30 minutes again. That’s not customer service
A few weeks ago I came into the store for the first time and didnt know how to use my Amazon prime membership benefits at the self checkout register. Barbara was so patient, helpful and understanding explaining to me how to use the app on my phone. I saved a lot of money because of Barbaras help using my Amazon Prime membership savings benefits and setting-up my phone. She exhibits phenomenal customer service and makes sure that the customer is happy! She is an amazing staff member and an even more amazing human being! Thank You so very much Barbara for caring about me and my happiness and satisfaction! You are FABULOUS!!! I will be back into the store because of Barbara. They should give you an award and a gift card or something to recognize your outstanding service and hard work.
I herd they just hired new people, they might need more training. It was pretty dirty today with flies flying around. I’m sure if the coffee station was clean there would be less likely for flies to fly around. Also the girl didnt open my bag to bag my belongings and didnt give me the correct amount of change :/
Absolutely fabulous! Even better since it is now part of Amazon. Using the Amazon app, optional, if you wish, and an Amazon credit card you get even greater discounts. This store is always clean with such knowledgeable and caring workers. I especially go here for the fresh fruit. Worth every penny! Parking is easy in the area as well. Super clean especially important at this time. Kudos to all the lovely people working at this Whole Foods and the management. Take it from Professor Jan, this is worth a trip from anywhere!
The prices are a bit much sometimes but depending on the product, they can be fair. The staff is exceptional, if you ask about a product, they walk you right to it. That sets them above the competition easily. Ridgehill isnt the easiest to get in and out of but its still simple enough if you know where to go to make it a quick trip.
Very well stocked and a pleasure to shop there. If youre health conscious, this is one of the best places to pick up organic fruits, vegetables, eggs, legumes, beans, grains pastas etc.....Been there over a hundred times over the years. During the height of Covid tho, the pickings were slim. Hand Sanitizer sheets, spray, and disposable face masks at the entrance for the taking as you walk in the front.
Over the past two years, I spent a lot of time in California and the Whole Foods stores there. This one is no match. It is still in the old old paradigm of Whole Monrhly Check. Everything is way more expensive than in orher supermarkets in the neighborhood.Back in California, Whole Foods is competitive - here it is decidedly not.
This place is overrun with Amazon shoppers that rush around and pushy their way through the store. It really ruins the whole shopping experience. They need a separate section or store for these people otherwise its a unduly stressful shopping experience for regular customers.
I dont know if I came here on a bad day, but Ive never experienced such consistently bad staff interactions. I have a feeling it might be due to the Amazon acquisition and the inevitable shift towards a corporate Amazonian attitude towards the employees.Everyone seemed upset and overworked, multiple workers were cursing at each other and yelling across the aisles while restocking shelves, and the worker at the pizza stand seemed super offended that we asked if they still sell vegan cheese pizza. She said no weve never done that. Thats not something we do. Which is...well just not true.I dont want to be that person who complains about the staff, but it was palpable that everyone working there hated it and it was impossible not to notice. The constant cursing amongst the staff around children was the only thing that really bothered me, maybe Im just too sensitive to it.
First , this is my favorite place to do groceries. Everything is organized and for most pleased. However on Saturday around 4:30 when I was about to pay, the cashier asked me bags or no bags ? I though she meant paper or the reusable bags so I told her I’ll take paper given that I have bags in my car.. and with an attitude she said “Its a yes or No question”. Ok I though maybe she having a bad day, then I told her that I have prime and with an attitude she replied it’s done. The next customer who was also hispanic like myself, she went further, she grabbed their basket turn it upside down .. bottom line someone like her shouldn’t work in a job that require customer service.
This place is awful. Ive been standing in line for 15 minutes with lines going halfway to the back of the store. Not because its busy, but because they cant be bothered to have more than 2 checkers. Not only that I was about run over by employees rushing back and forth. Will shop almost anywhere else around here.
I love this supermarket! The meat selection and quality of them is superb. I like my fresh ribeye and skirt steak, and this is the first place I go to get them. Herbs variety (rare to find), organic products and already made food are my second great find here. Come on, It’s Wholes Food! :)
Please shop anywhere else. Amazon has destroyed the shopping experience at this store. The owner’s of Whole Foods are against a 15/minimum wage, they are bad for the local economy, the quality of the produce has dropped. I just went to buy a pumpkin and they have someone policing which entrance you go in. The entire shopping experience and quality at this store is dropping. Shop one of the local stores and farmer’s markets when you can.
This Whole Foods is nice and clean. There is no shortage of food options and the staff is very helpful. They dont seem to have hand baskets, so you have to use a cart. The ready to eat food is all very good and they have a great cheese selection. Also one of the better places in the area to buy a variety of craft beer. My only issues have been that they often dont have enough cashiers working, and the parking validation has never worked for me.
We’ve been here many times but this time was the most frustrating. Who does the ordering here?! The case water selection changes daily. Went to pick the last two cases of 365 spring water only to get in a chicken fight with an employee building a pickup order. We won’t be back to this location.
Clean and fresh with not a lot of lines during off peak hours. Deli can get congested as well as butcher but shipping in soaked and checkout was no problem. Customer service was great when I had any questions and selection is decent. Their plants are great too as I purchased one and didnt have to worry about bugs in it.
We have been shopping at Whole Foods Ridge Hill for a year now, and it has become our go-to place both for online ordering and in-person visits. Their organic produce selection is the best in the area. They are strict about covid protocol, so get there early to avoid waiting in line. Ordering via Amazon is a breeze and the UI is simple and helpful. You normally can get your order delivered in a few hours.
Whole Foods Market in Yonkers has too many personal shoppers. This creates a negative shopping experience. I found they seemed to always be in the way of Customers shopping in the store. The management needs to review this issue and implement changes ASAP. I would rate shopping experience as 1 due to additional unnecessary traffic.
UPDATE: Well Amazon paid attention to reviews. They even emailed me about it. My last visit was better. I was able to get many of the things I couldn’t get before. Still some basics were not available in the produce section but that’s OK I didn’t expect to find as much as I did! And I didn’t get anything from the prepared foods which used to be my main place to shop.~~~~~~~~~~Amazon bought this and it’s turning into a regular grocery store. The produce and fruit have no scent. Oranges and peaches, onions and garlic, should be smelled before you even get near the counter. This tells me the stuff is old and putting organic on all the signs doesnt change the fact that its low quality because of the age since it was picked weeks ago and lost nutrients because of it.My little bottles of facial cleansers/moisturizers are no longer being sold there. The aisle as I said looks more like your local grocery store. Also most of the prices are higher.Disappointing also was the prepared food tables. I used to order enough food lunches and dinners for two weeks. Now the selections are limited. The salads contain similar ingredients. The chicken with rice they had had very little rice because chicken weighs more and they can charge more as you fill up the little containers.I guess I have to find somewhere else to shop. And I dont think Im alone in this because the lines were short on a Saturday afternoon.Whole Foods as I knew it RIP😪
We were looking for Levain cookies and realized we were in the wrong section then Mary asked what we were looking for. She told us we were in the wrong aisle and she walked us over to the frozen section. When we got to the frozen section it was empty then she checked the back and brought back boxes. Thank you Mary for going above and beyond.
Ive come here nearly every week since it first opened.Staff: generally very friendly, helpful, and nicePrice: noticeably cheaper since amazonParking: nice perk to have 90 free minutes with only a $10 purchaseCleanliness: always cleanWait time: the managers always seem to do a great job of keeping the lines short and movingSo, why am I rating it so poorly? Because, over the last several months, this place seems to always be out of stock on many of the items I purchase. I have no idea if it has to do with poor inventory by the manager, or if its a systemic issue with WFM as a whole. Either way, it has become increasingly frustrating. Its a 50/50 chance if there are oats, almond butter, lentils, among other things. The bulk section is the worst culprit. But, other aisles share the same fate. All the positives are why I keep coming back, but being out of stock every week on items is just too annoying for a higher rating.
It was an excellent time as they practiced social distancing before you head inside. Now I would say as a detraction was that some of the staff was not as helpful when you asked them questions or they just did not know where things were. Now if you were awaiting your online order or pickup, those individuals were working as collectively as possible. Great sales and the selections were on point, just get some people who wish to help the customers.
Disappointing. The food is not as good as it should be for the price. The prepared food is no longer made on site. Be sure to Check the sell by dates! A bag of 365 chips I purchased was a month past date, unfortunately I did not notice until I got home. With so many good food stores nearby, Whole Foods not worth price or paying for parking.
UPDATE: Since Amazon bought Whole Foods this location is MUCH cleaner and has been brought up to WF standards. Its expensive but the store is beautiful and the produce is top notch.ORIGINAL REVIEW: We drive from the Bronx to shop and eat here. Since they opened the quality and customer service has declined. This is very disappointing, especially when you pay a premium for beautiful food only to find that the bread is moldy, produce is rotten and the meat turned. When I returned the foul fare, I was met with a bad attitude by a cashier. I was expecting an apology for receiving sub-par groceries, that didnt happen. We vowed not to go there anymore until this past weekend. I was at the new Container Store across the street and decided to give it one more chance. I was pleasantly surprised! The produce was super fresh (no liquid tomatoes), the hot bar was fresh and the people working there were really nice!Maybe they got allot of complaints? Perhaps they are cleaning up their store? I hope so, its a beautiful store and mall.
Nice store. Employees are very helpful. The prices though are another story. What happen to Amazon bring the prices down? Come on! Some of the products they said would be brought down in price are still expensive. Right now there is no real change. Now if you spend $10 your parking will be free for the first 90 minutes. Without this the place would likley be empty. Right now Whole Foods is in a wait and see moment.
Store is ok, but it will cost you at least $4 or more to park your car (even for a minute) anywhere within walking distance and grab a coffee. Even in the city there is free parking around. But not here.So $3 coffee + $4 parking=$7for a cup of coffeeUpdate: they dont tell you for some reason, but you can get a garage parking discount at the store. Ask the cashier. But why not put a notice at the parking lot?
I love Wholefoods! I find it so calming. Perhaps from the variety of essential oil scents in the air. Staff are pretty helpful and very polite. In the years Ive been shopping there, Ive never encountered an issue. The prices can be pretty high at times so I only get whats on sale and what I need. What Ive been wondering is how is shopping there now with the whole Covid-19 happening? I dont want to have to travel all the way over there and come across food shortage as my local Shoprite always is. Everyone is hoard shopping. So annoying ppl acting like its the end of the world.
I usually do not judge a place by a single experience but when you have been witnessing a gradual decline in service over time it only takes one terrible experience to overshadow whatever strengths a place may have. Customer service has been an issue at this place for quite sometime now which is a pity considering Whole Foods is known for quality. The cashier staff appear they are ready to get off anytime. Without getting into details based on my last shopping experience I think Whole Foods should invest in some training of their staff for a better customer friendly experience.
Under the circumstances one must take precautions, but, must keep services, which you pay for. I purchased a coffee and a pastry, the employee did care about his safety, but not mine. He failed to provide me with napkins so that I can placed them on top of the table that many have use, while putting sugar in the coffee. There was no one by the counter to sanitize it. Good service is a most at all time.
Its an okay Whole Foods. Ive been to better. I bought Wild Alaskan Salmon there which I had to return because it was smelly and I have decided not to purchase fish there again. The people in produce and the cashiers, however, are all nice and they validate your parking with no problems.
This is the one of the only supermarkets I shop at. They have so much going on and top quality food. Known for its organic options, this wholefoods also has a pizza station, carving block, complete bakery with pastries, seafood section, cheese section with beer on tap and now even a Dylans Candy Bar station. They validate parking for 90 free minutes with a purchase of $10.
Some of the cashiers have very bad attitudes, forget to scan the Prime code, then ask us to go to the service counter to rescan the items and of course no apologies for the inconvenience. Thats not Prime service. Its such a charity to hire those people who abuse their customers.
Well stocked, well organized, and the staff is very polite however soooo slow. Staff arent sure where things are, Kitchen counter takes forever, and the cashiers are unbelievably slow. Its possible to be cheerful and polite, but still efficient, and unfortunately when I can bag twice as fast as a cashier who does this as a profession there’s definitely a problem. If youre the kind of person who treats the grocery store as a fun afternoon outing for the whole family, then hooray this is the place for you. If not... prepare to be extra patient.
Decent size store. Has alot of options other whole foods in the area do not like the candy bar & pasta station. Only downfall was the front end customer service!! Cashiers talking to one another not paying myself or any other shopper any mind. No hello, or goodbye. They need to be updated on customer etiquette and interaction.
Decent selection. Parking is easy and plentiful. You do need to pay if you dont buy anything but whole foods validates parking, so thats a plus. The prepared foods and hot tables could use a little more variety. I do like the fact that they fill growlers of beer here with some good local choices. Prices are typical whole foods expensive.
Wholefoods definitely carries a variety of quality items I like. The self service section has a nice selection of hot food, salads, baked goods and drinks. The mall is quaint and not over crowded. It offers great eateries and many fine stores for shopping. I love it and I can see others do as well.
Whole foods is good when you want organic/healthy stuff but the prices are still expensive. I like to get the sauerkraut thats better for you then eating regular cabbage and egg whites for making omelets. Theyre bread is oh so ghi in calories like how can bread be better for you when most slices are in calories what I like eating 2 slices to be. Sometimes too healthy is too much though. Theyre pastries are really good, nothing healthy about that but you can really taste the fruits in them and theyre reasonably priced.
Great selection of organic, vegetarian and vegan items as well as beer. Prices are still way too high. Relatively insignificant discounts for Amazon Prime members on just a few select items. Remember to show keyword Whole Foods QR Code in the Amazon phone app at checkout for Prime discount.
Well I would like to say that I shop there weekly last Sunday I have the worst experience ever all the cashier close at the same time and when I dare to ask somebody at the register who was open they yelled at me to calm down that somebody were gonna open soon., first I don’t think thats the way to talk to a customer and second they have a Couple is cashier that are very rude and this is a place that I bring my own bags I bag my groceries and they don’t ven say thank you. I’m very disappointed since I go there all the time and they have to see this people almost every time I go.
I might ask if it was just me who thought the customer service wasnt very good, but its not just me judging by other reviews. Im not saying that all of the staff are rude, but some are and give off this vibe like they are suffering themselves to help you. Also, as others have said, most of the products are overpriced. Unfortunately, theyre the only store I know that sells vegan yogurt alternatives. Looks like Ill either have to go without or look elsewhere (I was disappointed to find that Trader Joes has nothing of the sort).
Great customer service, food is always fresh and a great selection of produce both locally grown and tropical fruits alike. Great atmosphere I especially am drawn to the Whole Body area with all of the fragrant aromas and natural body care items. The workers are always very helpful and smiling. I love this place
Its Whole Foods so you know the drill. Healthy choices with a salad and soup bar. Some prices are fair and there are 365 brand savings to be had. Good variety of some items. Like I said, its Whole Foods. I noticed that there are fewer products from other companies. I dont trust the 365 brand, especially organics. A released report shows the 365 Whole Foods Market brand of fruits and vegetables sold as “organic” comes from China. China does not have organic standards or even safe food practices. Not good imho. In addition, 7am in the morning on Friday as the start of senior shopping? 7am...seriously? Who gets up at that time to shop when theyre senior age? Why are the workers not wearing masks?
Since Amazon has taken over the quality of food and experience has diminished substantially. Just today, food quality seemed much worse and often times have bought items that when opened are already not useable. That is if there are no empty racks! Almost every time I have shopped since Amazon has taken over have to leave with an incomplete list. Bread counter is always empty, veggies are always missing and overall it seems that the quality of food is very average. The Whole Foods experience that used to be the reason we paid a premium is definitely not as “Whole” anymore. Take heed Amazon!!!! Else our 10 plus year whole foods patronage will move to another store. It’s we are prime members and have a prime card.
In part Im going to Wholefoods again because of the Amazon acquisition. Last week I did a weeks worth of shopping for about $45. Of course theres the little stuff that I get from the local market or the major supermarket. I had a return or better yet bad bag experince because my eggs were on the bottom and the sweet potatoes were on top they gave me all my money back on the items covered with eggs and egg yolk.I knew I would be out shopping for a while so today I brought along an ice pack in a bag the cashier was kind enough to give me a credit for bringing my own bags even though I had an Amazon rolling shopping cart I bought from them.
I have had many of the same complaints listed here. We no longer buy milk from this location because it is usually bad when we go to drink it at home. This happens consistently. Meat products have been disgustingly past prime and not fit to be sold on a consistent basis. For boxed items and some vegetables they are more reliable. This is one of the worst Whole Foods.
Convenient location to buy organic produce and its usually fresh. But lately the organic offerings have diminished. Pink Lady Apples may have gone out of season. But the Fuji I just ate was utterly tasteless. Its labeled organic, but I am doubting it.Its expensive, so ones expects quality. The staff are usually great. Walk me to the item when I am looking for something. Friendly at the cash registers.
I have to recognize I hadnt tasted most of the things that Whole Foods had for sale but I just tried to buy some juices and other stuff and it wasnt nice. When I went on there on Saturday, there werent enough cashiers and it didnt feel so warm the environment regarding the customer service.
This store really needs to speak with their security guards about unplugging people’s EVs in the parking lot. For a company that is supposed to be Earth conscious, they sure don’t act like it at this location.PS: Despite the comment below, no response was ever given by WFM when I reached out in the manner they described below. Neither the health of our Earth nor customers seem to be important to Whole Foods.
Parking: is At a high price if going to west med to see doctors or different stores to buy clothing or eat at different restaurants. Very dark in parking lots. .can pay at parking lot credit cash at differentMachines or at wet med. FrontENTERANCE I believe to be a safer place to play. YOU never can tell. It was my first time at whole foods and I hated my experience. I just stopped in to get a small snack but didnt know what I wanted and thats probably what was my issue. I settled for buying a small bag of nuts. They had containers you could scoop from. Kind of like what you see at those candy stores but with nuts. The big difference is that you CANT MIX AND MATCH. Without knowing this I put 2 small scoops from 2 different containers. As this is not allowed and got reprimanded by the cashier in a very unpleasant way. I made a mistake but the small bag was $1 at the 8.69/lbs price. I doubt the deference in price between scoops was tremendously different in value to deserve being treated like that. Its obviously a problem, that other people make this mistake (or abuse the scoop your own system) they should figure out an alternative. Maybe only sell them pre packaged or have staff there to help. The cashier could have also just informed me of my mistake, tell me that if have to pay a different price and that would be the end of it I would have been fine paying the difference, and would have learned the proper way without having this horrible experience. If youre reading this and you think Im unreasonable, most other help yourself systems such as salad bars, hot food, soup, Olive station, etc located in grocery stores have one set price for everything in that section.
Somehow I always end up regretting going here. Parking is awful, although Whole Foods validates parking, there is one machine for the entire parking structure, so it can take longer to pay for parking than it does to actually shop. By shop, I mean the time it takes to walk the aisles and add products to my basket. Checking out is as bad and as slow as parking.
I bought Mango, Kiwi Strawberry cut up for $6.30 with an expiration date of June 25 on June 21. I opened it the next day and it tasted like beer. this is not the first time this has happened. I will not shop there anymore. A poorly run store. They make terrible pizza also. Dry and tasteless.
I had the worst food poisoning ever!!!!!Heres the story;I go ther frequently to get some remade food, bring it home and eat it right away for lunch or dinner...I purchased some grilled herbed chicken, plantains and lemon rice...I brought it home and ate it with in one hour, in fact I ate it out of the very to-go container it came in.Not an hour later the 1st vomit occurred, again and again and again then came the diarrhea, is he now both ends the entire night all the way to the following day off…If I want to marry morning still throwing up I called Chris the manager of whole foods in Ridge Hill and told him what happened just to see if anybody else called and his response was that he was so sorry and he would love to give me a $20 gift certificate for my trouble and I hope that I feel better. He was very nice.Who is the best grandma I spent $600-$800 a month at whole foods and I also own enough stock in the company that I could purchase a very expensive house in Westchester New York… To offer me a $20 gift certificate and to not call back and make sure that Im better is just inappropriate and not enough .There was something obviously wrong with the food because I have no allergy to anything I ate and Ive eaten the exact same thing there over 10 or 12 times in the past 3 or 4 months...I called back and I suggested that I get $20 gift certificate as offered for each vomit at 15 vomits and I never got a response...Things happen, I get it but its the way you deal with a customer when it does really matters much more than the vomit in the diarrhea.I lost about 6 pounds
Not good. The hot food bar served improperly heated food. It was not hot enough to be safe to eat. The produce dept was stocked with mostly non organic items from Mexico. The parking situation is the worst I have ever seen. It is differcult to pay and is often jammed by a single car. I was once held hostage by a defective gate. I paid with my credit card but the gate did not fully open. Waited 18 mins for an attendent. There is NO emergency override..
We have shopped here for several years-before and after Amazon----and I am sad to say that the quality keeps declining. Recently, the selections of standard things seem to run out-recent trips there was no fresh pork tenderloin, lamb shanks, or even fresh ground beef. Have you ever had their butchers tell you they are out of ground beef? The last few times we went, there were no peanuts in the fresh peanut butter grinder. I asked one of the people who works there if someone could refill it--and he just said, were out. The bakery breads have seen the worst decline. Our old favorites such as cranberry walnut are unrecognizable. A completely different crust and texture (more like very cheap factory made breads), few cranberries and no walnuts we could see or taste. Other types of their artisan breads looked similarly revised--as though the chief baker for Wonder Bread was brought in to re-engineer for the cheapest loaf.
Some things are so wildly overpriced and expensive, but the place has a nice selection of exotic or ethnic cuisine items lol. I like to go there to shop for those things that you cant really find at the local supermarket. Staff is pretty cool, too. And they validate your parking, so thats another plus.
Located in Ridge Hill shopping complex. Easily accessible from NYS Thruway and Sprain Brook Parkway as well as Tuckahoe Rd. It has plenty of PAY parking including more than an adequate amount for Handicap vehicles.Whole Foods is located close to Tuckahoe Rd and has a parking lot and escalator right that goes right into the store. They have the Normal grocery fare but they also have plenty of fresh produce as well as many organic items. Their prices are on par with what you would expect to pay in this type of store.
Like their friends Trader Joes and Costco, Whole Foods has no locations in the Bronx. They also dont have locations in Queens, but have multiple locations close to Queens. Like Costco, but unlike Trader Joes, which also doesnt have any locations near Yonkers, Whole Foods has a location in Yonkers, located to keep the riff raff away. Costcos location is, like their neighbor Stew Leonard, located in a land locked area that is only accessible as a exit off the highway, meaning that getting there, of you dont have a car, even if you live next door, requires a bunch of time, and possible multiple buses each way. Whole Foods, while having a way to get there on food, discourages it. It is in an out of the way, upscale shopping center, way up a hill, and not near the general residential areas. A place that, unless you drive, youre not going to. They could have looked for a location in downtown Yonkers or near Cross County, where there are a lot more people around, and passing through, which are much more accessible to residential areas and accessible to the Bronx, placed where most supermarkets and almost all the health food stores have closed in recent years. But, this is more efficient in continuing their elitist store placement (like only putting stores on trendy areas of New York City. While this isnt a heath food store, you can get health food items (as well as lots of natural versions of junk food), at prices much higher than the old health food stores. Much of the store is devoted to prepared food items, including lots of refined flour baked items, and better, being a relative term sweet baked goods. There seems to be more conventional produce items than organic, and the organic produce is more than other places (if you can find other places anymore) charge. Since Amazon bought it, they seem to have moved even more in the n ot health food direction, including making their (expensive for a) smaller, by eliminating what used to be bilk bin basics like oat bran. When you put in a store where people are, not a store where anyone without a car is both discouraged from coming, and probably wont, let me know, and Ill consider coming.
WF produce typically lasts a bit longer and tastes better than most supermarket offerings, but is of course more expensive. When in season, though, the nuts and dried fruit section is probably the best in the area, and the store features heavenly brownies at the Greyston Bakery, a Yonkers enterprise known for its open hiring practices, whose profits go towards community day care, medical clinics and other socially necessary functions. However, after (i) signing up online for a specific food order via the holiday table, (ii) getting a confirmation number, (iii) checking in store a week earlier, to find the order not retrievable (iv) calling the store back with the confirmation number to discover the order HAD been found in the meantime and (v) adding two items to the order, THE EVENING BEFORE THE DINNER, we got a call to say that the original order had not been filled as it hadnt been approved by the supervisor. Can you believe that ??? We were offered free organic chickens instead (and given two to feed a party of 14). Unreal.
Horrible food bar and bakery! My husband picked up some cupcakes and mini cakes. The mini cakes were stale and the cupcakes were spoiled. He also grabbed stuff from the food bar - STALE!! This is definitely NOT what I expect from Whole Foods. This isnt the first time their fresh food items were stale.
Service very bad!!!! I went to get a coffee at the drink area. I read the sign 5 items or less but I have 5 items in my basket and ready to pay. The lady at the shop said “ too many items “ I was so upset and very disappointed about the service there!!! This is how employees treat the customers at Whole Food???
I had to go through a lot to tell you that your 1/2 gallon low fat milk became sour prematurely, the last 2 times ( and last 2 times) that I purchased it.Im assuming that this is due to poor handling during transit and delivery. No! I dont need a coupon for a container of milk.No response is necessary.
I live down the road so it is very convenient for me to get my groceries there. But I wont shop there anymore no matter how convenient. The last 3 TIMES I have shopped there, I got home and my chicken breast had turned. When I opened the vacuum sealed packet I nearly fell over with the stench. It happened two more times, and I called and complained and then I wrote an email to complain when it happened the 3d time. Ciro Alfieri the manager (no relation to me) wrote me back saying that he stands by his product 100%. Just so you know, before you go there, they stand by their products 100% even if they have turned and will make you sick. Way to go whole foods!
IF YOU ORDER A FRESH TURKEY DONT LET THEM CHEAT YOU. IT IS N-O-T FRESH. UNFORTUNATELY, THERE ARE NO OPTIONS IN THE AREA SO THESE THIEVES DONT HAVE COMPETITION AROUND. I ORDERED A FRESH ORGANIC FREE RANGE TURKEY TO FIND OUT IT WAS A BLOCK OF ICE WHEN I GOT HOME. IS NOT THE FIRST TIME I HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THE MEAT DEPARTMENT THERE. INSTEAD OF WHOLE FOODS IT SHOULD BE CALLED WORSE FOODS.

2022-03-08I never bother any other store when I made fish always run up to this whole food store .I buy here fresh salmon ,halibut, orhaddock. That’s what I usually use for our meal.Or any seafood scallops shrimps etc.Salad also the best in here (price too)I usually pick up the big 50/50 box of salad and took a small bag aragula I love it in mysalad .Not many store sell duck fat but they have it.Price not higher when you going to different supermarket and you can’t pick what you want(already packed) usually quoter of fish or meat a waste .We had party last week and I cooked outside open fire so I grab 7 pound beef for a stew, when you use qualityingredients they call you a “real deal” 👌🏻Worth to buy from them!

2022-02-26Always a pleasant shop. Absolutely everyone who works there can help with anything you need. They had the most adorable (and delicious) Chocolate Raspberry Galentines Day cake. They are also the only place around, that sells Shishito peppers

2022-07-06This is a pleasant place to shop. There is ample parking and a really great offering of fresh vegetables and fruits. This is perhaps my favorite Whole Foods to go to. There is also a seating area where you can relax and eat what you purchase from the salad and hot food bar. The check out is relatively fast and there is a self checkout also.

2022-02-13It must be the most understocked Whole Foods I’ve come across. We’ve been doing deliveries for the past 2 years and this is our nearest store so we’re stuck with this location. A big part of my order is usually out of stock. Shoppers don’t seem to care because the offered substitutions are often ridiculous. Some things have expiry date on the very same day they are delivered.

2022-06-07This is not a store I do my *regular* grocery shopping at because it’s pricey but for specialty items it is 100% worth it! I love the Vegan “Just Egg” and it is the cheapest here that I’ve found for that brand. Also love getting my eco-friendly household supplies (laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, etc.)

2022-07-04Want fresh and unexpired food? Then don’t come here. When I got home 45 minutes after purchasing my items I realised that the two vegan pizzas that I had purchased were passed expired by one week period so I have contacted the store at the customer service desk and spoke to Samantha about the issue who then transferred me to Maya. I had explained the situation to Maya that I lived 45 minutes away from the store in Greenwich Connecticut. The two vegan pizzas I had purchased was on the way up back home and they were meant to be eaten at a celebration I was having at home before the 4th of July and she had wanted me to Hold onto the expired merchandise until I had a time to go all the way back down to Yonkers to return the past-dated food to get my money back or to the other. Rarest whole foods market. I don’t feel like I should have to waste gas going to another Whole Foods market again or even the same Whole Foods market where I went originally to return expired merchandise which shouldn’t have been on the shelf in the first place. Maya wasn’t very helpful at she was very rude and very bland when it came to Showcasing her customer service skills.

2022-06-29The butcher pulled a fast one on my wife today. She asked for bone in pork chops and wasn’t paying attention and the butcher gave her a mix of terrible cuts of pork. Looked like multiple different cuts of meat. Shameful.

2022-06-18A person handling online order replaced gluten free item with whole wheat item. There was no notification about replacement. This is irresponsible and dangerous behavior.
