Wickham Farms in other cities:
Great little place to visit. Ordering tickets online saves you a couple bucks per person. We went for the Sunflower fields which there was a lot of. There is also apple picking, pumpkins, a few different kinds of animals, gift shop, apple cannons (they were closed) and some things for the kids to play on. I would definitely visit again.
Lots of things to do. Visit the corn maze, ride the wagon out to pick apples, slides, 2 bounce pillows, kids train ride, Apple canon. A great wsy to spend a fall day with your family. There are also lots of things set up for photos that you can take and post online like the pumpkin house, pumpkin ferris wheel, pumpkin River with canoe and bridge, tractors, old camper, pumpkin teepee. Lots of great stuff! Oh and theres food too! The fall shake up is yummy but expensive and the Apple fritter with ice cream is also very tasty.
An amazing value for vegetables, spring, summer and beyond! My family knows that having a share of the Wickham Farms CSA is my favorite summer activity. Farmer Deb and Farmer Bill seem to work tirelessly to give us an amazing selection of vegetables, fruit, herbs and flowers all summer long. And now their children are adding to that legacy! If you make use of the U-pick option you can also can or freeze produce to stretch the season through the fall and into the winter. Ive done the financials on my share and it truly is an economical option to eat fresh and local! I could go on and on about this CSA!
This place is great. Its not only kids friendly, person at any age can enjoy this place. Well organized place and events. If you are going their dont forget to take the tractor ride around the farm. We went their in the apple season. The apple picking experience was great. The best part is the apple cannon.
Wow, what an expensive day! Took my grandkids ages 11, 9 and 5. The youngest had fun but the older two were disappointed as were we. The attractions are gear d towards very young children. Cost $84.00 for five admission tickets. The kids wanted pizza so we got each a personal 7 inch pizza at $10.95 each. My hamburger and cold fries was also $10.95. We did buy some items in the store. Fudge, cheese, 2 scarecrow yard decorations the kids wanted. $94.00. The store takes cash, everything else is card only. An expensive day and the grandkids were mostly bored. The entire place is run by kids. They do a pretty good job though. I would not recommend for older kids. Overall? 2of5 stars.
Its a very nice place to visit. We visit at least once a year for apple picking and fun and games. This time we went for the Sunflower display. We werent there too long before the rain came. Dale Wickham was very kind to offer us a ride down to the store because we missed the wagon. While waiting for the rain to stop I bought some goodies.
Awesome place for families with younger kids..lots for them to do.Little older kids..Corn Maze which is big.Hay Rides, Sunflower & flower fields..you can pick your own..3 different barn bldgs with many food items..BBQ, Grilled Items, Pizza..Freshly made donuts, Kettle Corn..gosh who can resist, hmmm, not me.Bathrooms..look like Johnny on the Spots from outside..but inside..toilet,sinks..perfect space, since my husband is handicap, more then enough room..in different areas of farm.Beautiful landscaping, staff is amazing..very helpful & friendlyGrandsons 2nd birthday party..Take a ride out..you truly will be glad you did..😀
I didn’t write any review, just left the 1 star I would rate my experience here. However, the owner wrote a rude comment out of no where. Here is my response to them.I am sure. You could mind about improving your business instead of whether or not I have the correct farm. The system of rating a place one visits has the purpose of improving their services. It is not with a bad intention. However, clearly the owner does not think the same as seen with their hostile approach. Definitely not going back.
What a great place, especially for kids! So many activities (slides, apple cannon, exploring tractors, animal area, playgrounds, bouncers, pumpkin patch, apple picking, tractor ride, etc.) Admission price is a little steep, but kids are free, parking was free and there was a lot more to do than expected. Food was also really good. The Fall Shake Up drink (apple cider slushie swirled with vanilla icecream and topped with a donut was wicked good!)
I went to Wickham Farms this morning with my daughter and we were having a great time, until we noticed her sweatshirt had gone missing. It was getting chilly and my daughter was heartbroken about her favorite sweatshirt! We looked in the lost and found, we looked everywhere frankly, but could not find it. Judy (and others) were extremely helpful and took tons of time trying to help us find it! Without having any luck, Judy gave us passes to return as it was too cold for my daughter to stay without her sweatshirt, which was exceptionally kind. Great news, just a moment ago Judy called us excitedly saying that they found it. Exceptional care for their customers in addition to an excellent place to make family memories! I highly recommend the tiny train as well. We are now Wickham fans for life!
This is a great place to go on a family outing or a date... We enjoy pumpkin season here as well as the Sunflower Spectacular! There are over 30 varieties of unique colored sunflowers here... Even as an adult some of these plants are so mammoth it made me feel like a little one! The food is good and the donuts are a highlight to end the trip!
It was wonderful!! We went for my sons birthday. It was a little costly for a family, but well worth it. There was so much to do and everything Is included in the price you pay for admission accept the apple picking and ther cost of pumpkins to bring home. They did a corn field maze, played mini golf, fed animals, and played until they dropped on some pretty impressive structures. And they picked the biggest apples Ive ever seen. They had a ball!!! Well definitely go again!
Never been to apple picking before and i was surprised to see so many varieties of apple in one place. They also have Sunflower festival every year around August- mid September so i would highly recommend visiting during this period. They have outdoor games for kids too. Overall, a great place to spend time with family
Today was a wonderful day spent at Wickham Farms with my nephews and nieces. We had so much fun that they wanted to stay longer but we couldnt because the farm was closing. My youngest nephew, who is 7, stated that it was the best day ever. I love being able to drive 22 minutes from the City to a farm filled with sights that wouldnt be seen in the City. With all the things going on in the world, the kids and I were able to see and experience a small piece of its beauty. Strawberry picking was the last thing we did but the swim in the corn was by far their favorite. Well be back in September to pick apples, which will be a new experience for me, too.
Wonderful and inexpensive time at Wickham Farms. I’ve been to other places themed in this manner, but nothing in comparison of size of venue, cost and overall quality of my experience and product. It’s not a thrown together “park” and the tasty food/drinks are definitely quite delicious; especially the apple cider slushy and pretzel bites we enjoyed. Too much to name for activities and “rides” there, but they do have a bounce pillow, and an inflatable bounce pad for young children, multiple food shacks, multiple slides (jungle gyms), a huge side by side slide, corn maze, train, mini golf and much more!
There is lots to do here. Plenty of play areas for kids. For adults theres apple picking, sunflowers, lavender and a large shop. We got lost in the corn maze. There are ribbons to help guide you out but they were not ordered clearly and some had their stalks broken down (assuming from people pulling at the ribbons).
First time here. Came for strawberry picking with my older girls. We bought tickets for all the activities but then realized they are more gaged for younger kiddos. My 11 year old did a couple of things, but not my 15 year olds LOL. Place was very clean. Hand sanitizer everywhere. They have really nice hand washing stations outside the bathrooms. Bathrooms appear brand new and are clean. Lots of tables spread out to sit socially distanced to eat or to just watch everything going on. Lemonade slushies and the strawberry donuts were delish 😋 I absolutely love sunflowers, so we will be back!!
Great selection of things for my 6 year old to do! Food areas, fun themed with different choices spread thought-out (even though everything is in view). Lots of places to relax and eat while watching the kids play. There is numerous playgrounds, a train, slides, air pillows- two types, corn maze, pumpkin luncher (when in season) and a tracker ride that brings you out to the various fields. Plenty of senic areas for photos. Employees are very nice and the store is great. I had the chicken salad and it was fantastic! There are other goodies there for the kids to eat and enjoy! A great price for all there is to do!
We participated in the drive-thru Apple blossom farm tour during the Covid 19 pandemic shutdown. We pre-ordered kettle corn and donuts. The blossoms werent quite at peak because of our weird weather but it was so wonderful to enjoy sweet treats and drive through the farm. Thank you for offering this during the shutdown, it was so wonderful to be out and about with my family.
Lots of fun and activities to do that my almost 3-year-old had an absolute blast at. Price of admission does not include anything extra like apples, pumpkins or concessions but fortunately they were able to accept cards for payment. Make sure to use their site before visiting!
I loved it! The October festivities are extremely family friendly and fun. There a large burlap sack slides, the famous bouncing pillow, a corn maze shaped like Susan B. Anthony with a barnyard mystery with clues throughout the maze, cider and donuts of course, mini golf, secret tunnels through hills, and my highlight, the corn-a-copia. A large ball/sandpit but not balls or sand, corn kernels. There are many family bathrooms with changing station and stools to the sink. There is also sanitizer and hand washing stations and reminders everywhere to use them.
This was our first year with Wickham Farms CSA. It was a wonderfully fun and educating experience. The staff was always helpful and friendly. It was very well organized to accommodate a lot of shares. It is great to be eating so healthy with so many new and already known fruits and vegetables. We especially liked the you pick option. My granddaughter enjoyed picking vegetables and flowers. I made 15 quarts of tomato sauce, processed Concord grapes for jam and pies, processed apples for apple butter and pies, made a batch of Theda’s Relish, and was able to fill a new freezer with fresh fruits and vegetables. I’ve never done any of these things before. It has been well worth the time and money. We look forward to next year.
Great Fall family fun. Rainy day but still enjoyable. Yummy cider and kettle corn and other food offerings include a frosty cider slushy ice cream float topped with an apple cider donut! I dont know how pricey admission is as we were attending a birthday party. Wed love to return in a sunny day to enjoy more if what they have to offer
We love coming to Wickham Farms! We have come for the lavender event, Sunflower Spectacular, and of course, apple picking in the fall. Each time has been a great experience. They continue to add more food options and barnyard activities. Each time we come, there is something new! The grounds are always clean and well-manicured. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they have some tasty seasonal treats! Definitely recommend!
Four of us (in our mid-late 70s) visited last week and wanted to see the sunflowers. We were disappointed to find that we had to pay the all-inclusive price (about $16), even though we obviously had no interest in the big slide, mini-golf or bounce pad! We would have been happy to pay a small fee to ride to the sunflower field, but left without doing it. This looks like a wonderful family place, but a little consideration for those older guests would be really nice.
Had a lot of fun taking pictures in the lavender fields. Nice place, everyone was nice and everything was clean. Only downside to me was that they dont have different admission prices for different activities. Since I was just there to take pictures with my infant son it seemed a little pricey since we didnt take advantage of everything they had there. Would have been nice of there had been different prices for people just going up to the fields and for people that wanted to take their kids on the slides and all the other stuff
LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! It was our first time going, and I have to say it is one of the most family friendly public farms in the area. Tons of things to do with the little ones and thoughtfully placed items (boat, tubs, chairs, tricycles, art wall, benches, tractors, etc) where it makes beautiful photo opportunities widely available. At first I was unsure because there is a price of admission which I found peculiar but honestly after going I would gladly pay to visit again as well as any of there scheduled activities. So refreshing to find something locally that is family oriented, clean, and eventful where you can spend a good chuck of your day exploring AND keeping the kids happy.
I love this place! While its enjoyment is more seasonal with fall being the best time, Late summer for the sunflowers is definitely worth the trip. It is a bit pricey (As most places of this type are) but I felt it was worth it. I look forward to several more trips this autumn for pumpkins and apples!
This place is so adorable! Family fun for everyone of any age! The homemade apple cider donuts are to die for 🍎 my friend and I went through the corn maze and we had so much fun! They have a great little set up going on! There’s a little gift shop and a place to sit down and eat if you want to. Each activity is $5 but if you wanna buy a pass they’re like $15-$18 which isn’t bad at all! I can’t wait to go back next year :)
Excellent experience! Wonderful people and great portions in the CSA. The kids loved the experience and the U-pick was excellent. I was skeptical of doing a CSA at first, but I was extremely happy and glad we finally did it. Provided a well stocked kitchen and freezer, couldn’t ask for more. We will certainly be returning next year.
This was my first year as a CSA member. I heard about it through a friend who signed up a year or two before. The extras like being able to go out in the fields for the “u-pick” experience as well as access to cut your own flowers were great ways to involve the family. I did a half share this first year, but jumping into the full share next season! The entire team is super friendly and very passionate about what they do. Highly recommend!
We’ve been members of the CSA for quite a few years now - maybe 5 or more? So worth the $$$$! Fresh local fruits and veggies for 18 weeks plus the thanksgiving thank you share! And, if you make good use of the u pick, it’s even better! Knowing where our food is coming from is great, supporting a local business is amazing and nothing beats “just picked!” Can’t recommend this CSA enough!
I have been a part of the Wickham CSA many (I think 8 years). What I love about this CSA is the variety of vegetables and fruit, the fresh herbs, the flowers, all the wonderful things that make this more than just a place to get veggies! The staff is wonderful and the U-pick is an incredible benefit which allows me to freeze some of the veggies to continue to have after the season is over. I highly recommend the Wickhams!
The Wickham Farms CSA (which is separate from Wickham Farms other business across the street) was a WONDERFUL experience this year! This was my first year as a CSA member. It felt great to be able to support a local farm. They have different share options to accommodate different size families. The weekly (or biweekly) shares come with a great variety of vegetables and fruits. The offerings changed throughout the 17-week season. Being a member of the CSA allowed/forced me to try vegetables that I would never have bought at a grocery store! The fruits and vegetables are all fresh, picked the same day. You get a LOT of food each week! On top of the share that theyve pre-picked, you also get to do U-pick each week to supplement what theyve already given. This changes each week too; whatever they have in excess is what you can Upick. This was a fun thing for my family to do together. Some weeks, I literally hand-picked vegetables, brought them home, and ate them for dinner within an hour of me plucking them off of their plants! There is also a large herb garden that has every herb you can think of, and a few you wouldnt think of! You take what you need for the week. AND they have flowers! Honestly, this CSA is the share that keeps on giving. I have already signed up for my share for 2022 because 2021 was such a great experience.
I have been a Wickhams CSA member for 4 years and look forward to my share each summer. The variety of produce has pushed me to expand my vegetable horizon!! And its fresh like off the farm fresh!!! Love to support local small businesses and this is as close to the source as you can get!
We had a blast at the Sunflower Festival this weekend! Four kids ages 9-17 and all of them had fun! The sunflower fields and the apple shooter were the top faves among our crew. I also loved the hay ride through the fields. And the delicious fry cake style donuts were a big hit, too!!
Such a fun place to go! The ice cream here is great, food is good too! They have a great gift shop if your looking for some fun things, great gift ideas! The farm has lots of activities and stuff for the kids to do. Make a day outta your trip there with the kids, theyll have a blast! Plenty of space on the farm and lots to do from apple picking, hayrides, feed the goat, playgrounds, corn mazes, train ride, and more! Cant wait to visit here again, its always a treat to visit when we come into town!
This use to be a great place to go before they charge a cover admission to even walk in the store. I was with my children just to pick apples, I didn’t want to pick apples but had to pay just to walk around. Everything is a charge even if you go to another child’s party you have to pay just to be there. I realize every business needs to make money , but just to walk around a farm is insane. It wasn’t like this when they were next to the YMCA.There is plenty of farms around that I will be giving my business. This is in response to owner’s response….Well when I was there I couldn’t get in the store it was fenced off and doors were locked. Like I said it use to be a nice place to go
Nice facility, all of the areas appear to be well taken care of. Obviously with everything thats going on on in the world prices are a common complaint 🤷♀️ The area that has all of the things for children to do is fenced in, in order to go in with your children you have to buy a ticket 😑 a $17 ticket. I understand there are things adults could do but it would be nice if they had a bracelet for adults to wear showing they dont want to play mini golf or jump on the pillow....like a DD! May not be a big deal for some but an extra $17 (or $32 for 2 parents!) can be tricky for parents trying to let their kiddos do something fun. The staff was all very friendly! The animals were adorable and had an awesome enclosure. The other thing that is simple but bummed me out was I waited in line for hot cider (I was freezing and super excited lol) got to the register and the guy told me they didnt take cash... The register that takes cash is on the OTHER side of the barn... 🤦 Ok so I go to the other side of the barn, wait in line, pay for the ciders ($9 for 2 small ciders) go back to the other side to pick them up... They were barely luke warm 😞 overall the kids had a great time sliding down the giant slide and swimming in corn😂 thats what matters!
Wishing our pumpkin patch places in Colorado were like this place!! Amazingly fun! Something for ALL ages. The corn play yard was huge! The gift shop was so unique...wait theres more!! And Wickham had what they advertised! Gotta have one of those Sipping Cider Slushy with ice cream and a doughnut!! Wow! Going next year too...all the way from Colorado.
This was my first time at Wickham Farms and it did not disappoint. On arrival the admissions staff were some of the friendliest, informative people Ive met in a long time. It was refreshing. The corn pit, maze, fresh donuts, pumpkin patches and apple picking just to say the least. An absolutely perfect fall day.
First year my wife and I joined Wickham Farms CSA. The staff are so helpful and friendly, they send out emails with tips and suggestions before the season even begins! Every week they provide a recipe sheet or two for meal ideas using the produce for that week. Each week is an abundance of fresh veggies and herbs. We enjoy our pick up as a fun weekday date night!
I went last year to Wikham and it was ok..... this year was fantastic! The added slide was so much fun, it wasn’t crowded at all and the staff was so friendly! We had a blast in the corn maze and were thankful for the “cheat” or we would have been in there for forever. We got there with a 5,4, and 3 year old around 3:30 and wish we would have came sooner, we ran out of time! Well worth the $10, and the sunflowers were beautiful. My only complaint would be no one enforcing the mask policy indoors. There were a few times in the corn barn that other children came up to my children to play with no masks on and parents who didn’t care. I realize for staffing this would be expensive, but maybe someone to make rounds and give subtle reminders when indoors to wear one. I can not thank you enough though for the amazing memories! And the doughnuts are GOOD!!!!
Our first trip to the farm turned out to be that we had to leave, because they were closed, they had yoga there, although it was written in Google and Facebook that it was open. Our second trip to this farm ended with the fact that they are not allowed with pets on the farm. We drove there for an hour, and asked all the same to enter, because it is outdoor and the dog, a small six-weeks-old puppy, was in my arms over my jacket. And she still didn’t let us in. The kids very upset. THEY NEVER SEE MY FAMILY TO GO THERE. GOOD WAY TO LOSE A COSTUMERS.
Ive lost track of how many years Ive been a CSA member! I renew my subscription every year. Convenient weekly pick up times are offered. Im a household of two and I split my half share with another household of two. I receive a large quantity and variety of food. My favorite part is the Saturday you-pick.
EXTREMELY DISSAPOINTING!! It’s hard to believe that you are charging me $11 per family member (a family tradition) what if i only wanted one bag of apples? what happened to charging by the pound or by the bag? and as far as a “complimentary” wagon ride you are charging me $11 for a small bag of apples that i could buy at wegmans for a whole lot less. Thanks for ruining my family tradition. What next? $10 to park, got to make money somehow! I will NOT be recommending and not returning. Enjoy your apples!
Best place ever! The staff are so nice! Even with just the Apple picking ticket me and my friend had so much fun! You can get as many as you can carry and the Apple ticket you pay for covers everything! The sheep and goats were so cute and we timed it so that no one was there. The apples are so sweet and the dried lavender was so fresh. We will definitely come here more often!
I was really disappointed with our visit to the farm this year. The year before last you received a free sunflowers with admission fee. They have raised ALL of their prices a lot. For a bottle of water they are actually charging $2.95. For me to take my two grandsons and my self for the day it cost me over $100. Between entry fees and eating lunch and drinks. Might not be a yearly trip anymore. Too expensive.
Looked for something fall/ Halloween to do with my daughter saw this place pop up was a little bit of a drive for us but she had a blast the place was awesome the staff was all very inviting and helpful lots to do for the kids definitely worth the trip highly recommend
Joined a CSA through Wickham Farms this year, and I have loved every bit of it! Theyve really nailed the farm aesthetic, and they have events throughout the year to suit every member of the family. And Id be remiss not to mention the CSA fruits and veggies being incredible and the staff always being super friendly!
We brought the kids here to enjoy themselves, although it was very cold it was SO worth it!!! Many activities to do, the apples are amazing, the homemade donuts are amazing.. All the staff was very friendly and made sure we enjoyed ourselves. we will be back again next year!!
Pretty good place for pumpkin picking, hay rides, apple picking, and all the other fall stuff. Workers are kind of all over the place though, cold cider that was supposed to be hot, one let us in a paid location without asking us to pay by accident. But still pretty fun.
This share is amazing!!!! This was my first year, and they were unbelievably organized. The communication is excellent, and they are so accommodating when life gets in the way. The produce was always excellent and abundant. The u pick options make this share even better, and the variety is excellent. The staff is also so nice and helpful. We subscribed again and will probably be doing this indefinitely. Great people and great farm. I love supporting them and getting great produce.
We enjoyed our 1st year of ever doing a CSA. We did a full share for a family of 4. To say it is abundant is an understatement! For the 1st time we canned, froze and tried things from tomatillo salsa to broccolli rabe that we never had before. The Saturday morning U-Pick experiences were wonderful for us and our teenagers. We were excited to sign up for our 2nd year and look forward to next season.
We have been members of Wickham farms CSA from almost year one and have never turned back. Things we love: Variety. We do not just get the usual greens, squash, and a few vegetables. We get fruit (melons, grapes, apples, strawberries..) a wide range of vegetables (beans, broccoli, cauliflower, beets, green, red, yellow peppers, onions, garlic, eggplant, tomatoes of all kinds, and, of course, squash) and Ive probably missed some. But, in addition to all of that the best part is that we have access to their fields to pick even more if we like. That means I have a freezer full of veggies and a pantry of canned tomatoes, and sauce. Definitely get my moneys worth, and the Wickham family is always friendly and helpful
I went there twice within seven days. The first time I went with my older children and friends. The second time with the grandkids. I love the area they have for the children full of activities and animals to feed in an enclosed area. Even though your in an outdoor area, smoking cigarettes is discouraged. There are no signs posted stating that. Im a smoker and discretely smoked very far away from others. A staff member approached me very professionally and stated that there was a complaint. Not a problem for me now I know. Just giving you smokers a heads up. I encourage everyone to take a day trip to Wickham Farms. The customer service is excellent too.
This was our first year as CSA members and we absolutely loved it. Our family of 3 did the bi-weekly share and it was perfect for us. We especially enjoyed the you pick opportunities- the flowers were a personal favorite. Everything combined was a great way for us to have a steady flow of fruits and veggies and encourage us to try new things. Weve already signed up for next summer.
This is a fantastic, fun farm. I wish there were more animals besides a couple of bunnies that you can’t pet. The photo opportunities make this place worth admission alone. There are too many places I can’t safely take my children because everywhere we go has people masking their identity (even outside!), so it felt great to have a fun outdoor space where we could “socially distance.”
Warm day, a few clouds. Glad we went at 10. So professional, the entire staff and facilities and other guests. All mask and social distancing. Including the children, bless them. The kids loved the range of activities. The lavender is gorgeous. We will be back. Grandma was happy to have the parasol, handy.
The girl who works at the Bakery area register was the absolute sweetest! Amazing service, their maze is challenging which was awesome, and everything is so cute there! I highly recommend bringing your children because there are so many activities for them and you to do!(:
This place is amazing! It is something family friendly. So many things to do, great prices for the amount of activities. Very friendly staff, can leave comments and suggestions and they actually read them and get back to you. We brought our 5 month old and she loved it! Got beautiful pictures and are even thinking of doing professional photographs next year! They do them for you!! Would highly recommend! They have all different kinds of events. We went for the sunflower spectacular. They were promoting their free candy drop where they drop candy out of an airplane to the kids and also pumpkin events near Halloween!
The lavender is beautiful and smells wonderful. But the admision price of $10 is high especially for us seniors who do not use the barnyard play area. Great place for kids. Gift store prices are on the high side. Food for kids is reasonable. $6.95 for 1 main dish, 1 snack item a d one drink.
I am so excited to have such a fair priced family place. They have added a ton of new items since they have moved! I love that I didnt have to spend hundreds for my family to have a fun time! Food add on options available too at an amazing price , will be back for sure!
Wouldnt recommend it. Way overpriced. $15 per person and no sliding scale for children. Cut 2 flowers and they practically die before you leave. Plus the whole covid and mask thing is a joke in general. Outside!? On a hay ride? And Im with my family!!! But I must put a mask on?
We had a wonderful time at Wickham farms today. The new farm site is so awesome with so much for kids of all ages. The $15.00 admission fee gives you access to all the activities. Our son, age 13, and his friend had a great time and did not want to leave, but after 4 hours we were ready to leave with the promise of going back.
We loved participating in the CSA this year! It was our first and it was so great to have access to wide open spaces and a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables. We were so excited to have the U-Pick included and utilized it a ton this summer. Our girls really enjoyed coming and picking out our veggies and fruits as well. I think the staff did a great job setting everything up and working through the COVID kinks. We are excited to be back again in 2021! Thank you for a great summer crop share!
I have to agree with many of the other posts about pricing! While my 3 year old has an amazing time there, the cost for an adult to enter with their child is absolutely outrageous and greedy. My husband and I plus grandparents spend almost $100 to supervise and watch my toddler have fun plus cost of food. There should really be a much cheaper option for adults and or a family plan like the zoo or strong does. I even looked into a birthday party for my soon to be 3 year old which would include all 3 and 4 year old children and they wanted $15 an adult! Obviously the adults needed to be there to supervise their toddler at the party! Really consider working on your pricing and making it affordable for a family. I can’t imagine the price for a family with more than one child!
Wickham Farms is family fun at it’s finest! The farm has awesome activities for kids and their staff is friendly, professional and welcoming. The farm has covid measures in place and is extremely clean with plenty of open space to social distance while your kids do activities. I highly recommend Wickham Farms!
This was my first time signing up for a CSA. I wasn’t sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised. Everyone was so nice and friendly. The u picks were a lot of fun. I brought some little helpers that really enjoyed picking and had a great time. All in all there was a lot of family bonding not only just picking but cooking and canning as well. Fresher is definitely better. I immediately signed up for next year. So looking forward to it all over again! 💜
Great place for family fun. Took the family for the first time and spent the day. The maze was great and served the purpose.. took us a hours to get out. Petting zoo and mini golf provided for extra fun. The bounce pillow kept the kids busy for hours! Food was not that good and very pricey. Overall experience was GREAT
We loved participating in the Wickham Farms CSA this year! We got the full share and it was a ton of food! There was a great variety of vegetables and fruits that were fresh and delicious. We took advantage of the u-pick fields also, where you can pick additional veggies, herbs and fresh flowers! Can’t say enough great things.
Ive always loved Wickham farms, and now theyve expanded even more! My favorite thing is their apple canon. I wholly recommend their farm for both family outings and romantic dates. Apple and sunflower picking, mini petting zoo, playgrounds for the kids with a cowboy-themed lasso station. Theres tons to do!
Juat came for ice cream. There were a few people in front of us but the wait wasnt too long line. They have a decent selection of ice cream (hard, soft and even 1 sorbet). It seemed reasonably priced. There are a bunch of cute places to sit and enjoy your ice cream as well. They have a lot of (paid) activities which would be great for kids (including batting cages, a bouncey thing, mini golf and even some animals).Inside they also sell a lot of jams/jellies and various other gifty food items.
Response to owner Bill - thank you for the offer, but until there is a cheaper option for adults to supervise their kids, it is really not something to discuss. To each their own but I don’t see the value in comparison to other farms in the area. Just saw another parent complaining about your new model this morning on a community board. Losing a lot of families this year by being greedy and choosing to charge parents who can’t do the activities.I am a big supporter of local businesses and farms, but over the years Wickham Farms has gouged families more and more. New farm location is beautiful but to charge adults full admission to supervise kids on activities is crazy! I cant bounce on a pillow or ride a train - legally I have to supervise my kids and keep them safe while THEY enjoy the activities. They are by no means a Stokoe Farms or Seabreeze where I may consider paying a reduced rate to enter. Also, there is no longer the ability to pay to just bounce while getting an ice cream. Was a great spot to meet with a sports team after a game or invite a class of kids from school to meet up to kick off the school year. It was affordable - again no longer an option. Very disappointing and overpriced period. No doubt they will lose business and need over inflated prices to make up for it.
Lavender was beautiful, but they can expand it more! The scent is incredible. The admission $10 plus $5 for a small bunch self-cut lavender was a little costly, but well worth it. If there are more spreaded out benches and umbrella, it would be a lovely field cafe. The huge wagon short ride was fun. Note: the lavender ground is covered with black sheet, and it is not always flat underneath. If you have trouble balancing, you might want to make sure to have on flat sneakers and walk with caution. This will be my annual destination of summer!
If I could I would give Wickham Farms CSA 10 stars. My daughter and I have shared a full share for the last 2 years and I have done pick in addition to the weekly share 2x a week. The amount of beautiful veggies, fruits and flowers is unbelievable and the quality cant begin to be compared to even what you can get from a farm stand. Everything is super fresh, delicious and there are lots of choices. The focus is on the CSA members and everything is carefully planned with our wants and needs in mind.
The place is really prettyI will say if you are disabled or dont make much money, it will be difficult to afford whats there. My mom and I couldnt afford the tickets to see the animals and other stuffIt would be nice if there was a lower price ticket that didnt include picking apples
Wickham moved into a larger location with lots of new buildings and activities heated mostly for kids. Good family location. Once they are settled hopefully the perform maintenance on some of their activities. Mini-golf in particular was not good, definitely needs work.
Well decorated, good system to pick apples and pumpkins. Way overpriced compared to other picking spots. Other farms have more activities and cheaper prices. Okay, but would get more bang for your buck at other joints which are not short to come by in the Rochester area. Apples were delicious and barn had food for purchase.
Beautiful new setup, but the fenced area is WAY too expensive, especially if you have small children who want to jump on the pillow for 5 minutes. $15 per person, no timeframe, for anything beyond the fence... Id rather go back to just paying for my kid(s) to jump. Im not planning to jump or ride the train. Why should I pay the same rate?
I used to love the old location. Now there is much more to do, but you must pay a pricey admission just to walk around. I went with my family just to play mini golf, as it was a annual tradition for us, but when we found out it would cost $30, we left. I was excited about the new location, however I think it may be too pricey for the local families.
When I arrived I spoke with the owner about the different areas, photographing a family of 7 onsite, and the admission costs, which are now $10 per person regardless of whether or not you want apples.I simply commented thats expensive and before I could finish saying… expensive for a family of 7 people the owner quickly interrupted me and said Well it isnt expensive when you consider all of the nice places for photos. Thats not free you knowApparently she knows everyones financial position and was clearly pretty offended that I would comment.Shortly after I started photographing my clients family, the same lady walks right into the middle of my photo session to tell me that if any other customers want to buy the pumpkins that we were in front of, I would need to stop photographing and clear the area. She assumed that because I commented on the price, and because we started in the tiny free guest section that we were just going to stay there and freeload. She never once considered the fact that we might all actually be pre-existing customers who pay for their food and apple picking experience every single year. The owner keeps talking about a professional photography fee but the website clearly states that fee applies if I have equipment AND require exclusivity. I had a speedlitght, and required no exclusivity of any kind. There is no fee applicable to what we did today, and she had every opportunity to tell me about it when I kindly came up to her and asked her if we could shoot here today.Until today, this has been our annual apple picking farm. I bring my family here, we bring friends here. This was my last visit. Ive never experienced business like this before.
Had a great time at the sunflower spectacular. The children had a blast. We enjoyed ice cream in the barn, the batting cages, mini golf, the bounce pillow and the wagon ride. Looking forward to everything being in one location in the future. Driving from one area to the next was a bit inconvenient having small children in car seats and strollers.
This was our first year as members. It’s a learning curve for me on how to store all these beautifully fresh fruits and veggies as well as how to cook some. There’s tons of recipes available and staff is always helpful. My family loved going to the you pick fields every Saturday to get fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, kale and flowers along with other veggies that were available. We ate so many more veggies during this time than we normally do. My boys loved being helpers on pick-up days and can’t wait to do it again next year!
Our family loves Wickham Farms! Every fall we go to do some Apple picking, check out the corn maze, & do the kid activities (bounce pillow, train, feeding the animals). The staff is always nice & helpful. We just stopped over the other day for some lunch. The pizza, cider, donuts, cookies all tasted amazing. They even serve ice cream! Definitely one of our favorite farms.
I went to Wickham Farms a couple of Saturdays ago with my 2 daughters and were treated with patience and kindness. I have a bad back and Wickham Farms provided a ride for me called The Gator. A handsome gentleman named Dale rode me around and he was the best...he was kind, patient and manner able. I will visit The Wickham Farms again. Lorrain Patterson
After going to the Y, my granddaughter,Delilah, wanted to have her 1st visit to the farm. It was a hot day. We enjoyed walking around the farm. Delilah enjoyed the activities, and of course we had to go inside and have ice cream. After getting in the car, before leaving the parking lot, Delilah asked me, can we come back here again?
Normally a exceptional place but today was an absolute disaster during the “sunflower spectacular”It was largely staffed by teenagers who had no idea what they were doing and couldn’t care less. Most disappointing was when we explained to a “manager” that they needed to better monitor and guide the younger staff he said “it’s not worth it, if I tell those kids something two minutes later they forget.” He just laughed and said “16 years old aren’t like they used to be!”, which was especially odd since he looked 25 and he was talking to me (I’m 62) like was from my generation. The tractor pulling the hayride barely made it up the hill (the young man wasn’t driving in the correct gear and later said it was his first day), Apple guns stopped working after the first shot, and our grandkids were denied entry to the train because the “kids” on the other side gave us the wrong cards. At that point we just left without a refund because it was too much hassle to find another manager. It’s a fine place to go but definitely avoid “special occasions” ... they just aren’t staffed for it (we were there on Sunday afternoon and the event stated yesterday at 10am so it’s clear they were overwhelmed by the number of people not just working out the initial kinks).
Given the challenges we face environmentally on our Earth today, there is a growing awareness and understanding about the value of local economies, especially when it comes to our food. When we think about our usual, weekly grocery routine, most people find themselves buying the same handful of fruits, veggies and other foods week after week. We get into routines, we get into comfort zones, and all too often we get stuck in a rut. With a CSA however, you get an outstanding variety from week to week based on what is growing, mature and ready for harvest at different times. Wickham Farms excels at this week to week with beautiful produce.Part of that variety benefit above includes yet another benefit, where a CSA program can “force” you to try many new foods, especially vegetables. Of course I use the word forcehere in the most positive of ways. Again, unfortunately due to our rushed and routine lifestyles many of us don’t think about or make any effort to try many, if any, new fruits, vegetables, mushrooms, grains, beans or herbs. We stick with what we know and habitually prepare the same set of meals. With a CSA however, you will likely receive foods you haven’t tried before and thus be inspired to learn about them and find ways to enjoy them as part of your diet. Wickham farms CSA grew a ton of different vegetables throughout the season, so I got to try so many new vegetables, some that I had either not heard of before, and others that I was simply too intimidated or uninspired to buy at the grocery store before. Well, now that I had them literally handed to me, it was actually fun to experience them, and the new culinary flavors, textures and exciting opportunities they offered. My share person and I who spilt the share week to week would call our vegetables weve never seen or heard of our projects to cook with that week then share the recipe with each other. So Im all for a CSA and have signed up for 2021!! Thank You Wickham Farms and for my friend Traci Timmons for asking me to join her on this CSA adventure!! Farmers come from good Stock. Stay healthy and safe and see you in 2021!!!~Nicole BubelNew CSA member from 2020
Cute little farm, fun for the whole family. The corn maze was fun, but short enough that the 3 year old with us didnt get too bored. The bounce pillow was a lot of fun, and the play place was as well. Pumpkin prices were a little high, but Im gonna guess that was because it was late in the season. The little bakery inside had nice products, and evrrything was decently priced.
This was my first year with Wickham farms, although I did participate in a CSA a few years ago and was aware if how they worked. I was literally blown away by the variety and the quantity of food I received each week. And on top of that, the quantities and varieties available to pick in addition to the shares each week was outstanding. I love fresh herbs and always wanted an herb garden and now I have one with no upkeep. I saved so much money on my grocery bill, ate healthy fruits and vegetables, and had fresh flowers and herbs weekly. The value for this opportunity was evident week after week, the staff very helpful, and I cant imagine not participating. Its gong to be a long winter but I am looking forward to 2020. Thank you to the whole team at Wickham Farms for an amazing experience!!
Signed up for a half-share this year, and it was wonderful. A great variety of vegetables, with the ability to choose from multiple options. The you-pick fields are wonderful - fresh flowers all summer, and the ability to load up on basil for pesto, parsley for tabouli or tomatoes for sauce.

2021-09-30My family and I began this farm share this past summer and are so happy we tried it! We do a bi-weekly pickup and are eating vegetables that we’ve never even heard of! The experience of going to the farm and picking our own food is so fun for both the adults and our two kids. We also love all the fresh-cut flowers we have in our house all summer long, thanks to the “you pick” fields. Before this CSA started, we felt like we were in a food rut and making the same things every week for dinner. Now we are trying new recipes and foods and our kids are eating so many more vegetables! We are definitely going to continue with this farm share every year!

2021-10-03Such a great experience! They have apple picking, pumpkin, farm animals, cider, kettle corn, cider donuts and so much more! It was pretty crowded on Saturday. But the staff managed it well. Very friendly staff! There are so many places for those who want to take photos. So many things for kids and adults. Had 5-6 varieties of apples. You can go to apple picking in a hay ride which is complimentary to ticket.

2021-10-12This place is a definitely must for your fall activities. The buildings are clean and the staff is friendly, the layout is fun and entertaining. Plenty of things to keep you busy for 4-5hrs at least. With a family of 5,bring extra money, but its worth it in the end. The food is good,my favorite was the Fall Mash Up drink, frozen apple cider and vanilla ice cream in a mason type jar with a apple cider donut. The sandwich is pulled pork with coleslaw and bacon. Definitely worth the price of what you pay for it. Over all,Wickham Farms is a to-do fall list for sure!

2021-10-28Absolutely worth the cost to get in! If you buy tickets online in advance you save a few dollars. I think younger kids would enjoy it most, but my 12 year old had a blast too! Lots of food choices (including yummy donuts), clean bathrooms, and friendly staff. Whoever is in charge of setting up the areas for photo ops does an outstanding job!

2021-10-12There is so much for the kids to do. We went right when it opened on a Sunday, and the crows werent too bad. We brought a 6, 8, and 12 year old, and they all had a good time. Bring your camera, there are photo opportunities at every turn, and we recommend the tractor ride to the apple orchard as well.

2021-09-14We had a unbelievably great time at Wickham Farms! Spent the day exploring, picking flowers, munching on kettle corn, playing with apple cannons and discovering all the fun things to do on the farm. The staff was helpful and friendly - everything was clean and beautifully staged. We even got to meet Farmer Bill! It was such a fun day - I already can’t wait to go back. Cannot recommend it enough! Worth every penny.
