Wild Wings in other cities:
A very nice place to visit and see some beautiful rapters! It is donation only, but those donations and the proceeds from the gift are what they use to take care of the birds. Several of the birds are injured or unable to fend for themselves, so this is the only way they would live as long as they have. Our favorites were Jackson and Charlotte!
During a recent day trip to the Rochester area, we stopped at Wild Wings. The area is beautiful, and we were welcomed by a very friendly and knowledgeable attendant. We gave a sizable donation, as there is no fee to enter. Although smaller in size, the area that housed the raptors was in good condition and we could easily see all the birds. It was amazing to be that close to bald eagles and owls, and all the other birds of prey. We also met the resident bobcat. Fun time, and VERY worthy cause to donate to.
People caring for injured wildlife birds of prey, owls falcons different breeds of hawks, eagles, Fox and a bobcat :-) its a lovely place to visit, its right at the entrance to Mendon ponds Park which is a beautiful area to explore, and theres other educational areas to check out with a really cute gift shop.
Amazing sanctuary for injured birds of prey! I only wish more people knew about it. The people there are wonderful and work so hard. Such a great educational experience for children and adults. They rely on donations so be sure to have some cash so they can continue to care for these beautiful birds.
We have gone there multiple times, almost once a year since 2013. Its a great place to let the children see the predatory birds up close. Its very educational for the kids and its great that the injured birds are being looked after so well. Also its a nice addition to your walk/ hike in the park as its connected to the many trails in Mendon ponds park..
I personally love raptors of all types! Simply seeing these majestic creatures up close gave me a sense of their being! For $10, we trudged through the snowy area of their wooded property with a guide calling for wild owls. We were unsuccessful but it followed up with refreshments and baked goods and a very informative show of their owls in captivity! I was very impressed and very happy for my daughter who enjoyed the owls immensely! Thank you Wild Wings!
Very cool nature area you can visit and learn about the various birds and other animals that are being nursed back to health or those that were injured and are unable to return to the wild.Great family time close by. Nice outdoor nature park next door as well to enjoy afterwards. Our family stops here a few times throughout the year for good hour or two to enjoy the animals and wonderful park settings.
I have been here a few times. A couple of the times with school field trips, a couple times on our own, and once for a birthday party. Every time a staff member has taken the time to answer questions, share interesting facts about the birds (and bobcat) living there, and encourage children to learn more about the birds. I highly recommend this place.
This place is awesome. The staff are great, the cause is great, and its just a really fun place to go learn about birds of prey. I surprised my wife on her birthday with a private tour and she was ecstatic about it. We learned so much and got the opportunity to see so many large birds. We will be going back. In fact, my parents saw the photos on my social media account and are insisting we take them the next time they come to town.
Extremely unique Hidden Gem in Mendon Ponds Park small donation required. But well worth it. Many birds are out during the daytime by staff giving you much insight and information on each bird. The majority if not all birds are wounded animals that cannot fly anymore and are saved by the center.

2021-11-14Amazing place to spend the day! See all the animals at the Wild Wings sanctuary, hike the Birdsong and fairy trails and hand feed the wild birds. Theyll literally take the seed right from the palm of your hand.

2019-04-09Wild bird sanctuary focusing on birds of prey. The volunteers give programs and care for the birds. Each bird has a name and story. Rosalie is part Gyrfalcon. Also, check the gift store for screech owl nest boxes. Free admission but donations are welcomed. Walking path around the enclosures is bumpy for wheelchair. Highly recommend with trip to Mendon Ponds Park.

2021-04-26We were thoroughly impressed. They had a great number of impressive rescued birds and a couple other surprise animals. Nice gift shop, reasonably priced. Great hiking (we initially came for the fairly garden hike) and a few other outdoor things for the kids. Well worth the day trip from Buffalo.
