Everyone is awesome. The doctors are amazing. They are so knowledgeable and are experts from start to finish. My eyes thank them with a twinkle and a wink. You will never go anywhere else once you use their service.

I was able to renew my contact prescription using their EyeCareLive app and working with a Doctor remotely, talk about amazing. The staff was highly educated and best of all, extremely caring. A few days before my virtual appointment, I received a call and they went through the whole process with me, made sure all of my questions were answered, and went above any beyond every step of the way. Super excited that Williams Eye Works is up and running. Would not go anywhere else. The measures the owner Chris has taken to keep the place sparkling clean and keep everyone safe during COVID are superb. Dr Zylinski is wonderful and you have quality one on one experience with him with all the top of the line equipment for all your medical eye care needs. Never rushed during the exam and you even can see a picture of the inside of your eyes. Not to mention their large selection of frames and lenses. Highly recommend to all!

Finally found the perfect pair of glasses thanks to Williams Eye Works. They have one of the best selection of designer eyewear in NYC. Dr. Zylinski did not rush in administering the eye exam and answered any questions I had about my vision problems. The location is close to public transportation, the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, and the eyewear selection is great!

My family has been using Williams EyeWorks for many years. All the employees have always been wonderful..Two years ago they made my husbands glasses incorrectly. After a few days of not being able to see, he brought them back to Chris and he admitted the woman measured them incorrectly. He had to remake the lens. In March of this year my husband ordered an expensive pair of glasses and was told by Chris that they would be done in about a week. He explained to Chris that he needed them because his other glasses had a small crack in the lens. My husband called once a week for three weeks and they kept telling him they werent ready yet. Finally during the third week he called a second time and demanded to speak to Chris (the owner). Chriss son called my husband back that day and told my husband once again there was a problem with the lens. Next day the glasses were ready. Ok fine, we have been going there for probably 15 or more years , Mistakes happen. But when we went to Williams to pick them up, all I wanted was to speak to Chris and explain to him that I wasnt happy. I thought possibly he could apologize like a good businessman. I wasnt looking for anything from him. I have spent a lot of money over the years at Williams on glasses and contacts for my family and never asked for a discount or complained about anything.. Before I could finish what I had to say, Chris blurts out, WELl I DONT KNOW WHAT YOU WANT FROM ME. and then tells us that he never said the glasses would be ready in a week because they are HOYA lens and that company is real slow, thats why he doesnt use them anymore. He goes on to tells me that Hoya gave him and his family a free cruise and then he dropped them because they are too slow.I didnt think that was an appropriate response! Then Chris goes on to defend Williams and use the excuse that my husbands glasses were made incorrectly two years ago because he prefers his bifocals at a certain length. Two years ago Chris admitted they were incorrectly measured and now the story changed. I just wanted an apology, that was it. There was a time when Chris was a small businessman who cared about the customers that kept his business and lifestyle afloat. Very disappointed.

Williams Eye Works is the opticians you go in search of by walking all over Chelsea or Soho or Williamsburg. We know. We did.You go wandering those streets because that is where you think you need to go to find glasses that make you want to wear them. But no matter how lucky you may get in your wandering, you should have saved the time because you will need it to go through the incredible collection of frames WEW offers. Workhorse? Definitely. Indestructible? Actually, yes to that also. Eclectic? Oh, they absolutely have those. Ask Ryan or John about the frames from the small company down in New Orleans, or the Jimmy Choos.But it is not just about looking good is it. It is actually about being able to see. And WEW is not just technically excellent, the staff are exceptionally attentive to all the details.So give yourself the time you would have wasted traipsing around the other Boroughs and you will emerge from WEW with glasses that will mean you can see brilliantly - which will also mean you can see how good you look.Great place. 2022-06-01Wow what a great experience here on Staten Island.I would suggest going here for anyone with eye care needs. The employees were super knowledgeable and are licensed optometrists waiting to help you. My family members have been going here for years and now i know why. They are much different then every where else i walked into. Just want to thank them again.

2022-02-26This is the best mom and pop eye glasses store around. The family is run generational and the whole family are the nicest people who are EXTREMELY knowledgeable about every aspect of glasses/ sunglasses there can be. They will find frames that will truly fit your face and offer the best variety and quality lenses. Ive been going here for years and will for the rest of my life. Go in and check it out to find out for yourself.

2022-02-12I was very happy with the service at Williams Eye Works. Joey was very helpful and patient making sure that I found the right pair of glasses. I didnt feel rushed even though they were busy.. He also took extra care that the fit was correct. I am glad I went here and will certainly return.

2022-08-19I have been going to Williams since my 10 year old needed glasses at 3 yrs old. I always think Ill go to a cheaper place or big box store for my glasses, but then I go back to Williams and I am reminded why we shop small. They always take care of us whether with repairs, replacements, or new glasses. My family has all had our eyes examined there AND they are humble and professional enough to say That particular issue isnt in our purview, but we can recommend a Neuro-optometrist for you that is fantastic! And they did. 4/6 people in our home get glasses from Williams. I also love that they support their community. I was at a local business lately (in the same area) and that business was bragging on how Williams staff frequent them and support their business. I love that small town feel in the big city.

2022-05-12I accidentally sat on my father’s glasses and one of the arms came off. I decided on this place based the reviews and wasn’t disappointed. Chris took care of us in less than 10 mins and didn’t even charge. I’ll definitely be back here when I need a pair, the service was great!

2022-02-18Absolutely loved the doctor but 1 star because the workers straight robbed me. i got contacts for the first time and for some reason they knowingly prescribed me contacts that are not covered under my insurance and they said because the contact lenses covered by my insurance weren’t as new and updated which literally how does that make sense next they kept asking me to add on things that were purely cosmetic and have no real affect on the glasses i was also getting and blatantly lying to me and telling me the ad ons had a purpose (they didn’t it was stuff purely for a better look) even worse come to find out after the fact the contact lenses they coerced me into buying because they were “more updated” THE CONTACTS THEY SAID WERENT COVERED BY INSURANCE ACTUALLY ARE COVERED!!!!! so they robbed me for hundreds of dollars and took advantage of a young broke college student. this is the worst experience i’ve ever had at a doctors office

I received a very through exam and they helped me pick the best glasses I’ve ever owned. Ty Ty Williams Eye Works! (Turns out the cataract surgery my Dr. said was “imminent” isn’t true)

2021-02-15This is my new place now and forever. Best and most thorough eye exam Ive ever had. They fixed a botched eye exam from a different place I went to and they did it with the utmost professionalism and care. Very nice family run business. Very personable and knowledgeable. Their selection of eyeglasses is vast and they carry top brands.

They have a great selection of designer eye-wear and can help you find exactly what you are looking for.I havent been to the store recently, but from other reviews and recent posts on their social channels it looks like they have put some important safety measures in place to ensure the customer experience during COVID-19 is as safe and stress-free as possible.Separately - theyve also been great leaders in the community and frequently give back. Theyre a true neighborhood business that Im happy to support.
