First time I went, it was fun. They had events for families to participate and staff was friendly. There is a large running track and field to play sports and the park is overall clean. The second time I visited, it was like going to a totally different place. There were teenagers jumping a girl, and a crackhead yelling about her family issues. Bathrooms were nasty and smelled like seafood city. Needs improvement.
Grew up in this area all my life, this park has always been great to walk and spend a morning or afternoon. Only thing keeping it from perfect is cleanliness. They dont seem to give much attention to the bathrooms. Also, better care of the park perimeter with clean up.I am sure there is staff for that but there are many times garbage will still be in places after weeks. I personally tend to clean up the dog park myself everytime i am there.
Nice place but some of the people are kinda sketchy.. even some of the parents at the playground. Be careful who you let your kids play with. Alot of the women at the playground are struggling single moms, with multiple baby fathers, they look overwhelmed, children look neglected and lack manners, courtesy and respect.
I had stop going there for over three years because of an medical condition that I have, but it felt good returning to the park after all that time I thank Almighty God that I was able to live and see it again and for the last two weeks the weather has just been fantastic, so again I thank Almighty God.
It is a very quiet park, it has a very nice soccer field, some good spaces to have a good picnic with the family, a playground for the children, a jogging track, a large area to ride a bicycle or skateboard, 6 fields tennis courts, 2 basketball courts, lots of benches to sit and relax, a very good park to relax
Great park to exercise and have the kids play and run around. Been coming here for years but there are also quite a few folks that are very disrespectful. Beware of the people that come and smoke weed in and around areas where kids are playing. Specially around the new skate park.
In this park, I found myself. As in once I was lost and wanted to blow my brains out but this park turned my life around. Being as it may be, this isnt a morbid or sad story, this is a story of something stronger, more tangible than hope. Rebellions are built on hope. So are Teepees and wigwams. The playground in its self isnt where my life turned around into something more better, more beautiful but the playground and its environs. Granted adults without children arent permitted in NYC play grounds , I am an adult, I am a Serviceman , and I had this experience about 5 weeks ago at or around 2A.M. so its not like there were kids there and I was just having a moment in front of a bunch of innocent civilians, it was at 2A.M. and my experience took up the whole park and the playground.
Very nice park. Full football field with a track, tennis courts, 3 childrens playgrounds, sprinklers in the summer. It also has a recreation center with a decent gym (for a rec center). They also started doing movie night in the summer for the kids. Our whole family enjoys this park very much. Highly recommend.
The park is okay, would only be better if people respected it and kept it clean. It does get completely packed of people all agdd, so if you have little kids you must keep a big eye on them especially in the playground. Teenagers will literally play in the toddler playground and even get on the swings.
A really nice secret hideaway. Sad you find parks in the Bronx by accident. You could live a block or two away and not know it is there. No signs nothing. NYC is very stratefied and the city government has no respect for its residents. Particularly outer borough residents. Dogs leave piles in front of our houses and there is no enforcement from the city. Yet, they have triple and quadruple signs for parking that you need a special training to understand. They completely exploit us with parking tickets. Why are the fines so high compared to other cities. Then they put bikes, outdoor dining, low fire hydrants, and limitless nonparking zones in parking spaces in a city totally overcrowded. Why are those eent a bikes taking up parking spaces. I want out of the city. Why are the tolls high here low everywhere else. Where ia the regard.
Williamsbridge oval is really a great park , theres just several things that can be fixed. First ,its hard to run the track. You have this youth football practice almost everyday. I am totally for conditioning our youth but instead of taking the field , theyre all over the track . My question is, in order for the people responsible for this activity , do they have a city park permit . Secondly the parents and coaches park their vehicles right in front of the park entrance leaving little space to enter. And last , these young men with the motor bikes , they are out of control . Unsafe conditions. Other than that , the park is fair
A great place for children and adults of all ages! Therere two seperate playgrounds for small and big kids, a wonderful turf field with a nice track around it. They have basketball hoops and 8 tennis courts that are in great condition. Plenty of places to sit and an overall nice family atmosphere.
Interesting and utilized park playground. Game courts clean. Young childrens seeing play area: unfortunately an unsanitary mess. Neighbors bring their dogs to Doo Doo...and do not clean up the mess. Never saw a park so filled with dog mess! This is a great neighborhood too. How sad. No respect for children wanting to play...and others wanting to use the park.
Wish the parks crew would keep up maintaining the grounds. Over grown plants and grass. The dog park fences keep breaking. Also during the summer there would be poor water pressure, barley anything for kids to play on and get the relief needed. Alot of the garbages where over flowing with garbage.
Always in Utilization, Sports, and Families taking in the Day, Great asset for the Neighborhood, and Well Kept by Park Dept Crews, dont Forget the Effort it takes to make it look like it Does, thanks,2021!!! People are Out , And Many are Going to The Oval, The Community Value That EveryoneCan Count on. Stay Well. And Remember the Covid Protocol for Your Protection & That Of Other Community Members. Be Safe.
Well you have three different Williamsbridge that connect together you have the Williamsbridge where you catch the Long island railroad. then next to that you have the Williams bridge where you go underneath and you can erase the little model cars down there it has a water. And then you have the Williams bridge that has the big playground the track field soccer the bathrooms and everything else its pretty cool
Williamsbridge Oval is a great place to spend time outdoors. Tons of green space. Play all types of sports or jog the track. There are fun playgrounds, a center, there is even a dog run for our furry friends! Movie night in the park are fun. Visit the famous Valerian House. There is so much to see and do, you will never get bored.
A very quiet oasis within the city limits for meditation, practicing your favorite sport, or even to improve on your long distance running. The crowds dont get overwhelming here, therefore you wont experience the normal frustrations that go hand and hand with parks. Its a very good dog run on the above platform and stroller walk around the track. Now the basketball court in my opinion is more of a practice court over a gaming court. (3 on 3 or less)Awesomely there is a local running crew here by the name of The Bronx Nomads. A really helpful bunch who have a variety of experience feom marathoners to beginner runners. They have a Personal Trainer/Coach in the group and if you are part of the team hell advise you on topics. Youve got vegans and carnivores running together without judgment so its safe to say that its rather easy to get along with this group. But I have seen other personal trainers giving boxing lessons or fitness sessions at the track area as well.

2022-05-10A nice spot in that area of the Bronx. Love to come here play tennis. The public courts are free, which makes them appealing to those who can’t afford pricey tennis courts. There’s a football pitch, a track for running and area for kids to play!

2021-10-21We cant even use the field no more cause there is always a football team taking up the whole field. They got permit but the management should have permit limit cause it is a public park but the public cant even use it cause it always been taken by private users. There was a day we almost got jump by a team that was practicing football and the coach was leading it.it just sad that we are playing peacefully in a public park and a group people treating to beat us up if we dont leave claiming that they got permit.

2019-04-14Beautiful park. During summer it gets crowded but compare to some other parks located in the bronx this one is okay. I just wish it has more lightening at night specifically in the playgrounds and during winter time. In general is a good place to go for a run or spend sometime with the family
