I waited 6 months for my windows to be installed which I completely paid upfront for. The installers didnt do everything that they were supposed to do. It took another 2 months to get the money owed to me afterward. Some time during all of this saga. I asked a salesman during a phone call about another window and coming to my home to price it. The salesman during this call. Googled my address to see the window I asked about. For whatever reason then. I was told by that salesman. That it would cost too much to do. He never set up an appointment or wanted to get to a point where he could price it out formally. Mind the fact that I have purchased 17 or 18 windows already from him before. Was a purchase of a single window not worth selling one to me?I actually had in mind to purchase another 4 more windows. Not one of any of the pervious sold ones were based models. Heavier this. Better that. And whistles and bells details too. Why such a reply? In other words, dont count on good interactions when dealing with anyone with this outfit. And good luck actually speaking with someone if its not to buy something from them. Voicemail and no call backs is all you will get then.
We used Window World to install our bedroom windows over 10 years ago and we were happy with everything so we just called them to come back and to replace other windows for us. We are not disappointed in our decision. Price and service were outstanding. Especially the men who came to our house to do the work. Very professional and courteous.We also had all the window frames rewrapped in a different color. Everything was done in the one day!
*BUYERS BEWARE*After my below review and Lisa telling me to contact her, I have still not heard back after Several messages left. I have damage to my wall that is just getting worse and no one will get back to me after many attempts. Do not use this company once the job is done and they have their money, they dont want to deal with you anymore.Have a window installed a year ago and all along the wall below the window my inside it is cracked from one end of the window to the other and my drywall is chipping and cold Air is coming through. The outside above the window, part of molding Is popping out which is in between the window and the house.I wrote this review over a month ago. since then someone came out to my house to look at the damage.I was told there was no way that could of happened from the window installation, well i l have lived in this house for 21 years and this was never like this until this window was put in. When my picture window in the dining room was being installed (I had 3 big picture windows and 3 smaller windows installed) my house was literally shaking when they where putting in this window. All my other windows are fine and this is the only window I have an issue with and NEVER had this damage prior to the installation. The man that came out told me he would submit this and see what they say and someone would get back to me, this was over a month ago and I havent heard from anyone.The pictures attached below is the crack below my picture window that goes from one end of the window to the other end ,78 inches. The outside of the window in the top corner looks like the piece is coming out. That was never like that before and makes the windows from the out side look terribleI am beyond disappointed and at this point would never recommend this widow company to anyone. Sadly I regret getting my windows from Window world and have wasted a lot of money.UPDATE - called 3 times left 3 messages since Lisa responded below and never a call back!
Window World of Buffalo in Depew is the best window installation company. We will forever go through them. Excellent customer service, reasonable priced, efficient and reliable. I never had a problem. The Wilson family been going to them for years. Chris installed our windows today. After the job was completed we couldnt stop looking at the windows. Beautiful job👌❤️! Already set up our next appointment.
I shopped around prior to purchasing two large bay windows that I was having installed. Window World was the most reasonable price by far. The windows were great quality and ready when promised. We were so pleased that when decided to replace all twenty-two of our windows I did not bother to shop anywhere else and had Window World also install them. Again ready when promised and the crew was polite, neat, professional and efficient in that they replaced all windows in a day. There were two windows that had small cracks that I would have never noticed and the installers discovered them and had them replaced. Very happy with all we have dealt with and now looking to replace basement windows....Thanks for the great service....
Dennis was the Service Man . What a friendly personable and knowledgeable young man. He was very professional acting and very thorough and honest. He also worked very efficiently. 10 plus stars for Dennis. Ill make sure to ask for him next service call. And by golly I just love my new windows and so does everybody else in my neighborhood. Prairie style are the most elegant. And I didnt have to break the bank.
Just had all our windows replaced and a new front door installed and couldn’t be happier!! Our installers (Chris and Austin) were absolutely the best.. professional, hard working and friendly. Our experience with Window World has been great, especially during these crazy times. They were extremely accommodating and did everything they could to get our job done quickly. Bonnie was a pleasure to deal with as well. We would highly recommend Window World to anyone! Thank you so much!!!
Chris and Austin did a great job on the install. They were replacing, replacement windows that werent that good to begin with. When they started taking out the old windows, you could see that the previous installer ordered the wrong size and did a half a**sd job to get them to fit. Chris explained my options and of course I wanted the job done properly. They then proceeded to properly frame the opening and the final installation looks great. True professionals.
The window installers were very professional, on time, cleaned up after themselves. Windows were done that day and we already had date set for doing the outside trim work. When they came back still very professional. The windows took longer than the usual time, but they were upfront with that info due to Covid. Very professional setting up the date and what the availability was. Prices were very reasonable and we were able to do all the windows in the house including our large picture window. Would highly recommend them.
I WOULDNT RECOMMEND BASED ON 3 VOICE MAILS LEFT AND NO CALL BACK ON ANY OF THEM.Their windows were installed in our house when we bought the house 8 yrs ago. Not a very good job installing them either. A couple of the windows it takes 2 people to try and close them. Tried calling them when we bought the house and no response. Now we have been trying to get a window replaced and have left 3 voice mails and no return call. Not very professional.
I purchased 4 double hung windows and a large bay window 12 years ago. I called last Summer for a repair since I have a Lifetime warranty. I was told they were going to charge me to come out to see if the work was covered. I sent a pic of one of the problems and got No reply. Paying for an estimate for a warranty repair was Not mentioned or agreed upon when I purchased my windows. I thought this company went out of business because they Do Not return calls then I just saw a commercial on tv. I will be reporting them to the BBB.
Our installers were friendly and affectionate towards our fur-babies. They worked efficiently. The windows were installed in a timely fashion and the installers made sure that the areas worked in were immaculate before leaving. We couldn’t be more pleased with our window investment; it is better than we imagined. Bravo ~Window World!
From start to finish, weve been very happy with Window World (installed 9 windows and a sliding glass door on 10/30/2020). The only bad thing to say is that the guy who came and measured was a few hours late, but otherwise the process was great. Nice quality product, there were no extra charges (another company tried to tell me Window World always charged extra at the last minute) and we didnt pay a fortune.
Worst service Ive ever experienced. Back in 2014 at my first home you guys were perfect, replaced every single window in my home and were done in a couple of hours and I had no complaints. This time out, Ive had about four different crews out (maybe five or six…I lost count??) and you still cant get it right. The first crew I caught literally standing in my sink while replacing the kitchen window and they made a complete mess of my basement with their muddy shoes - I asked them numerous times before even getting here to cover their feet and when they got to my home they literally said My shoes are clean, look and then showed me his dirty shoes - I couldnt believe it. There was also dirt on the molding around every single window they installed. Then they said they needed to come back to finish up because it was raining when it wasnt even raining!! it completely stopped!! They just did that out of laziness. When they left, I told Bonnie Smith (window world of Buffalo) to NOT schedule them to come back and I told her this because number one, they were dirty and two, if she rescheduled them, they would just call and cancel. She rescheduled them to come back anyway and sure enough, right at the appointment time I received a call from them saying they couldn’t make it so I just hung up on them and called Bonnie to say I told you so and to send out another crew. Then they scheduled another crew to come out and promised that these guys were good – this crew installed my main, large living room window wrong as it’s too hard to push down on the locking lever one of the windows – I advised I don’t even want that fixed and I’ll just deal with it as in the event that they did try to correct it, they would definitely have just messed it up even more. After this crew left, the capping peeled off on a couple of windows and they didn’t even finish caulking when they said they were all set and done. So then a higher up above Bonnie had them come back out to fix their mistakes. They also had to re-screen one of my spare room windows as it was ripped.The same supposed “good crew” came back out to fix their mistakes and that’s when I advised them that my bathroom windows top sash became too loose (I actually advised them on this the first time they were here and they somewhat fixed it but the fix didn’t last). So after the “good crew’s” second visit, I had Jamie (I think it was Jamie) and some other guy come out for the top bathroom sash - they said they were going to put in an order for a new bathroom top privacy sash and have another crew come out to replace it and fix the remaining ripped screen on my regular sized living room window as well (I caught the second rip after the good crew’s second visit, they didn’t rip it, it was already like that from the first dirty crew, but even they didn’t do it, it appears that the rip was a manufacturing defect for both of the ripped screens I have). So, the next person gets here and they have the wrong sash!! It was supposed to be a privacy window and it was a regular view window and the guy kept saying “I thought it was for the basement window, I thought It was for the basement window” to which I replied “No, you were with the other guy when we had this conversation and you even watched him measure the bathroom window top sash!!!”. Also, when they were on the now fifth or sixth visit to check on the bathroom top sash they kept saying things to me about the visits they were making, they said that while I’m covered because of all the problems I’m having, eventually I would start to get charged for visits, I advised why they were even talking about that and told them they had a lot of nerve even bringing that up – that was very ignorant of them.So now Im told that the top bathroom sash that needs to be done and the ripped screen repair will take another three months to complete. Completely unacceptable.I have no choice but to consider bumping this up to the next level if nothing comes out of the complaint I submitted.
We ordered 5 windows and a door on 3/13/20 and put down a $3000 deposit. Multiple calls during the pandemic closure and we were assured our order was in and as soon as the factory started back up our windows and door would be available. Months later when the factory was up and running we found out our salesman had quit and no one at Window World bothered to follow up to make sure our order was actually placed, despite being told it was multiple times. Finally after dozens of calls we got a new salesman assigned and he admitted they had only just placed the order and because the factory was so backed up wouldnt be ready until August or September. Were now into December, still with no windows or door, and back to leaving voicemails with no callbacks. We just left a message saying the windows and doors must be installed by the end of the month or well be filing a theft of service complaint with our credit card company to get our deposit back. I implore you... DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH WINDOW WORLD OF BUFFALO! We made the mistake of taking a friends recommendation and not doing enough research. They got lucky but now that Ive done more research I can see many people have had terrible experiences.EDIT: 12/23/2020The one star review got their attention. A manager named Dennis called me the very next day because the review ended up on his desk. To his credit he came across genuinely sincere about his regrets for the service we had received and wanted to make it right. Window World desperately needs more people like Dennis. He managed to get a crew scheduled to do the install on 12/21 and told me they would be there by 8:30. At 8:30 the truck pulled in and the crew were complete professionals. Im happy with the door and the windows but Im only bumping this from 1 to 2 stars because quite frankly it shouldnt take a public shaming via a Google review to get an issue thats been going on for 9 months resolved.
We had Window World install windows in our first house 10 years ago and they did such a great job that we had them out to our new house over the summer. The staff is extremely helpful and professional. Matt the installer was a machine. I strongly recommend Window World and ask for Matt to install your windows. And a special thanks to Scott for all your help.
From the minute that we walked into the showroom, to the completion of the project, I couldnt be happier with the Customer Service that we received on this project. The lady in the showroom greated us promptly. She showed us what was available and provided us with brochures to take home. I then made an appointment to have the salesman come over to firm up the details to order our door. Greg was wonderful about giving suggestions on what he thought would look good on our house. He was very patient, as I made changes more that a couple of times! Angelo was the gentleman that came out to measure, he was awesome as well, very professional. When the installers arrived, they were on time, were neat, and they did an outstanding job removing the old door and installing the new door. The owner, Scott has a top notch staff to handle all of your window and door needs. We couldnt be happier with the entire process. Thank you Scott and staff!
I am leaving this review for my parents. Window World installed several windows that completely transformed the look of the home and added so much curb appeal! The windows do a noticeably excellent job keeping the heat in and much less wood is needed for the wood burning stove. The job was done efficiently and professionally. Thanks again and highly recommended!
Firstly I wish I could rate the install crew that was contracted to do our install separately because they did an amazing job. They are the reason Im giving a 2 star review instead of a 0 star review! As far as dealing with Window World, it was the single most miserable home improvement experience Ive ever had, and thats saying a lot! We were told on June 9th (well after the covid shutdown) that our windows would be installed in 8-10 weeks, so August 18th at the latest. The sales person assured us we would hear from them the following week to schedule for measurements. Two weeks later I called them to remind them they needed to measure, and that was the start of us calling them to get anything done! Measurements taken June 27th, guy said 2-3 weeks to get the windows and another 2-3 weeks after that is where they were for scheduling installs. Thats August 8th at the latest. August came and went and we heard nothing from Window World. At the end of September my husband called and left a voicemail and received a call back from Bonnie. She apologized for the delay and said the windows would be in next month. When asked about communication she apologized again saying they should have sent something out but didnt. At the end of October we again had heard nothing from Window World so I called and left a voicemail (they do not answer the phones) and again received a call back from Bonnie. I complained about the lack of communication and she again apologized stating they should have sent something out but hadnt. She did tell me our windows were in and she scheduled the install for November 19th. On November 17th I received my first call from them which wasnt a call back for a voicemail we left. Bonnie informed me that the installers truck had broken down and wouldnt be fixed in time. She offered to reschedule for December 14th. At this point I was done. I explained that we wanted to cancel the contract and please have someone call me in regards to that. On December 11th, nearly a month later, Scott finally called. He told me they couldnt do the first install date because someone was sick and that wasnt their fault (not the excuse Bonnie gave). He also said they did send out an email regarding the delay (then why did Bonnie apologize twice for there not being one?). He refused to cancel the contract and threatened to take us to court. I wish I had the time and energy for that, unfortunately I do not. After several conversation where he talked to both myself and my husband as if we were completely stupid and not worth his time he did end up giving us a discount and we finally settled on an install date of December 29th. Thankfully the install crew is more competent than the actual employees of Window World, as so far we have no issues with the actual windows. I cannot recommend them unless you wish to be lied to, treated as if you arent a valuable customer, and want to spend your time trying to figure out whats going on with your windows. Completely horrible company to do business with!
Just had 10 windows replaced. They did a great job and prices were the best around. The process took exactly the time they said and I couldn’t be happier with the job they did. The guys were very professional and cleaned up after themselves . I’m very happy with my purchase ! I will be purchasing again.
We replaced many windows in the spring of 2015. Working with window world was a great experience. The man who came to measure was so nice and really knew his stuff. Customer service was great to work with especially Lori. We were not going to be home during the install and they worked with us and we were totally comfortable with the whole situation. We love our new windows and will be using window world in the future. Definitely recommend to everyone!
Had 7 windows installed. The whole process was great. Bonnie is fantastic and very friendly and helpful. Slight delay with covid, but at the time it was to be expected that the manufacturer was backlog. Bonnie kept me updated with the status of the windows and got the install schedule the day after they arrived! The installers were fast very friendly and very professional.
Ive ordered from Window World 3 times over the years and have always had a fantastic experience. They gave me a great price and we were able to do more windows than we had originally anticipated. The installation was extremely quick and painless. If you didnt know they were there, the only reason youd know anything changed was because there was a new window! We had the seal break on one of the windows and it was replaced with 0 issue or cost to us and this was 6 years after install. Highly recommend.
We had a bay window (and smaller bathroom window) installed in January. In the beginning of April we had a bad windy rainstorm and the bay window was leaking water. I called and eventually after trying to get through to someone, left a message about the problem. I actually ended up calling back just for the heck of it and someone finally picked up. Someone from the service dept eventually called me and transferred me to someone else to schedule an appointment, I never got a call back. I once again had a hard time getting through to anyone to get that scheduled. Finally got an appointment scheduled. Someone came out to look at it and said he water the installation manager to come out with him and do a water test. I was told I would get a call to schedule that. A week and a half and about 10 phone calls and multiple voicemails later, I finally got through to someone to tell them I was waiting to schedule an appointment. She did make sure someone called me back the next day. Water test is scheduled for 6 days from now so hopefully that will go smoothly and I won’t have to hound someone down, leave voicemails at every extension and even try filling out that I’m interested in a quote online. Communication is HORRENDOUS. Everything else hasn’t been terrible but the lack of communication and ease of getting through to someone when you have a window that is leaking 3 months after being installed is extremely frustrating.
Im glad I chose Window World to install my windows & doors! I needed 2 new doors & all my windows in my whole house so it was a big job! The staff is very friendly to work with & explained everything each step of the way! The installers did a great job installing the windows & doors! I would highly recommend Window World & the price was reasonable!
Had 11 windows put in my 100 yr old house few months ago, (which I was absolutely thrilled about). One window started fogging up, I called the Buffalo office about it. The woman on phone said no problem, will order you a new one. Couple weeks later...they called, window is in, Dennis called said he be here between 11 and 1. He got here at 10:50, was done and gone by 11:05. Very personable man, explained why it fogged up, put new one in quickly and easily, asked if I had anything else of concern, and left. No muss, No fuss and I got to keep the window for a spare just in case. I would whole-heartedly recommend Window World of Buffalo!It feels sooo good to actually get what you pay for these days and for a company to actually stand behind what they say they will. Good job guys!!

Several technical issues, made our installation take longer than it should have. Bonnie did her best to make our experience a good one. She is an asset to the company, without her our experience would have been untenable. And at the end Angelo came along to close the deal with excellent customer service. Without these two individuals our experience would not have ended well. And I cant forget Bruce and his installation crew, great workmanship.
Very happy with the windows and the warranty service. We replaced 14 windows and bought a new 9 patio door - all are 3 panel glass and are great for sound and weather - they keep us a lot warmer! Weve had them for 7 years, weve had a window replaced and a crank handle replaced - not a problem at all, just called the warranty department, they ordered the window and then installed it when it came in! We recommend Window World to our friends and family all of the time!
This is the worst company I have ever worked with. They have the absolute worst customer service and no professionalism. We ordered our windows 9/4/19, we told the salesman that we needed our master bedroom windows done ASAP due to the fact that it was broken. He told us no problem and that they would rush ship those 2 windows for us. That did not happen, after waiting over 6 weeks for the 8 windows we ordered and over 50 phone calls that were never answered, the installer came and told us that they measured the windows wrong. He told us that we could either have the wrong measured windows installed (due to their mistake) or wait a few more days for the new windows. A FEW DAYS he said. We waited another TWO WEEKS for THEIR mistake. Today 9/20 was the installation for the windows that were measured wrong. We were given a time frame of 9am-11am for the installation. After 11:15am I called the office to see what was going on and if anyone was coming and no answer. After hours of waiting, the installer ended up showing up.. surprisingly with the windows. But of course he came without enough encasement. To top is all of, he told me he would be back soon. What does that even mean, no one even told me when they are going to come back. Be back in an hour? Be back in a week? Be back in a month? Nope nothing, not a phone call or anything from these people. This business needs to be held accountable for their actions, this is truly the worst company I have ever encountered. Please save yourself the time, stress and money and do not get your windows from window world. Even if they are cheaper than other companies, spend the extra money.
Aside from this review...my new windows look great. However, my journey to get here was a joke.7/2018 – Ordered Windows from Window World from salesperson “Skip”. Was told would take 8-10 weeks.11/2018 – Received call from Installations at Window World regarding setting up a day to install. Only have 2 person crews available after mid December. Full crews would be booking into January 2019.12/26/2018 – Installer shows up around 11:00. Was told by him that my living room windows were mis-measured. The person had measured assuming that the studs between the current windows were coming out and that the 3 windows ordered were going to be pieced together to make a larger window. Also larger window was to be ordered in master bedroom that would replace 2 smaller windows and was told by Skip and the person that measured that it would work. It was the installer that brought to my attention that the studs cannot be removed unless they go up top of the window and reinforce. Decided to order new windows (5).Installer continued to install windows with 2 other young men. They worked until about 6:30 (they were working in the dark). The installer told me that he was not sure if he was coming back tomorrow to finish up and admitted that his crew had too much time off and “did not do some of it right”. I got the installer to trim up my back door to match the windows. I contacted Skip and the installations department and received no response.12/27/2018 – Installer came back a little past 11 and finished up the job. Received a call back from the installation department and was informed that the windows would be “rushed” and would take about 3-4 weeks. Tried to contact Skip and received no response.2/2019 – Finally received a call from the installation department. The windows are in. Since there is an extra window, they stated that there would be an extra charge for that window. I told the woman I spoke that after all that I went through, I would not be paying for that window. The installation department agreed to waive the charge of over $300. Scheduled install for 3/1/19Asked about why I never received a response back from Skip, I was told that he was very ill. Apparently, there was no one backing him up. And when he was well again, I never received a courtesy call.2/28/2019 – Receive a call from the installation department, stating that the installers were taking a look at the windows for the living room and they were missing mulls for installation so they would not be able to install tomorrow. The mulls would take about 2 weeks to come in. I informed the person that I was unhappy and I am now seeking compensation for what I have gone through. She stated that she would have her manager contact me back. I also mentioned again that I never received a follow-up call from Skip.Angelo who is the installation manager called stating that they were premature in calling me. They do indeed have the correct parts to install the windows, but they did not seem to be the correct size. The installation is back on. I am getting a $75 credit. The installation is going to happen 3/1 as scheduled. I was assured by Angelo and the installation department that everything will be installed safely.3/1/2019 – The installer is over an hour late. I contacted Window World installation department twice and had not received a response yet. Finally, they showed up at 12:15. The installer stated that his box lights on his truck were out and he was trying to address them. He left at 3:00 stating that he cannot drive in the dark without box lights. He was going to come back tomorrow to finish the trim. He stated he will be there at 9:00.3/2/2019Installers showed up at 9:30. Finished up the trim which took about 3 hours. Never heard back from anyone at Window World.
The repair guy came right on time. Very friendly and knowledgeable. He new exactly what was wrong Ang why it occurred. He demonstrated how to properly wash the windows so the problem would not happen again. This was the first time anyone showed us this procedure. The front window needed new ballests which he replaced. Jamie(I think was his name) was very professional and polite and Window World has a Great employee. I would recommend Window World to all my friends and family.
Bonnie started off the conversation because she clearly gave us a rough idea of the costs based on sizes of windows. I had no idea of the costs and needed to budget. She was very close. Then we ordered and i the installation crew was wonderful, clean, on time and just nice guys! Part of our window was rotted out that we did not know about and they were honest and fixed it for less than $50. They could have said it was a lot more and i would not have know. That integrity is what will make me refer my friend and family to them! Sometimes I had to leave a message, but they did get back to me. All in all a great experience. Thank you!!!
Ive used Window world in the past. I love them. No hard pressure sales. Very knowledgeable salesman Ive installed another companies windows on another home we own. That was a mistake! WINDOW WORLD is #1, Im an investor have rentals. I was so impressed that I did my entire home. You will NOT be disappointed. Mark
The entire process was seamless. Scott and his team were professional and went over all the details with me. The installation team was extremely courteous and did a fabulous job. I love my new windows, there is such a difference with heating and cooling- overall a great experience and cost effective!
Have been going round and round with them trying to get a window replaced on warranty for over 6 months now. They finally showed up last month to do it, started taking the old window out, then realized they brought the wrong size. Didnt hear from them in a few weeks so I called, got voicemail. Someone got back and said will be here on x date. No show, no call.
We had 16 Triple Pane (vinyl outside and wood stain inside) windows installed in our home. One of the best decisions we made was working with Window World. Their price was the BEST and most competitive compared to several other companies. They not only stand on their windows, they stand by their product. Lowered my heating bills considerably! Super easy to clean!
We had few windows replaced by this company and now all seals are not tight and wind drifts at the edges of each pane. I called to ask about replacing the seals and the life warranty they speak about, and they charge you money to just come inspect them.Better go for more reputable products, the products of this company are of poor quality. We had problems in the first year after install.
Very unprofessional and not responding to any questions about the service. I contract them on August 20th 2020 for 7 windows replacement. Made 1/2 of the amount as deposit but after 20+ days of making deposit they havent done anything for measurements of windows. Guy be careful with them . I have a feeling they are scamming people.
Dennis G. from Window World arrived promptly, was friendly, reviewed the work to be done, & answered all my questions. He prepped the area, & completed all the work. He gave instructions for maintenance & operation of the windows & screens. Dennis G.was professional in conduct and work, & did a great job.
We had a fabulous experience at Window World of Buffalo. The entire staff is friendly and courteous. They are excellent from the front desk to the installer. Everything was done as promised and on time. Our new sliding doors and windows look fantastic. The crew that did the install were great to work, very professional and friendly.
Long story short- think twice before using Window World. My husband and I signed our contract with window world back in October with the expectation and word from window world that it would be a 2 month process at the longest...it is now going on into February and our job is still NOT complete! We took a day off from work so they could come install 3 windows and a sliding glass door. The team showed up and said oh- the door frame came in from the factory damaged...so we can only do the windows today or we can come back another day. We had them install the windows and expressed our frustration. They said someone should have called us from Window World the day before to let us know about the sliding door problem- not the case. We DID NOT receive a phone call. After rounds of phone tag with Window World (because it is very hard to get them to pick up the phone without getting the machine) we called and set up the Saturday later that week to install the sliding glass door. Bonnie at Window World reassured us that Saturday would work for sure and the installation team would be there. We rearranged our Saturday to allow for their 4 hour timeframe they give you to show up (between 12-4). Saturday comes and we receive a phone call around 1:30 from the installation team saying they cant make it to our house today after-all and WE will have to Window World on Monday to reschedule. To say we are mad, frustrated and just overall fed up with Window World is an understatement. This simple job of 3 windows and 1 sliding glass door has now turned into a 4 month affair. Im giving them 1 star for the many rounds of phone tag and for now having to reschedule not once but twice with the company. Please think twice before booking with them.
Purchased 5 windows that were installed in January 2017. Sale, and install was very smooth. Great quality windows, that we like a lot.I had a small issue with one of the windows this week. The Tech was out the next day to fix it. Service after the sale is key. Thanks Window World.
Very poor..we ordered windows in August and paid half down we still have no windows. When we called we were told the measurements were all lost with the installer who quit or was fired. We were then promised fresh measurements and windows within 2 to 3 weeks they were putting us on the rush order. well that was on November 14th and we still havent heard anything have been attempting to call but nobody will answer my messages. but we did get a nice letter in the mail today stating there behind with production and at the very earliest itll be January. What kind of business is this its been 5 months and Im out two Grand and no windows
I am so happy that we chose to go with Window World of Buffalo. From beginning to end, working with this company has been an outstanding experience. They seemed to understand the nature of our project and helped to make sure that we were getting the best value out of our window investment. Great product offerings, great customer service and communication, before, during , and after the installation. Definitely recommend!
I was to have 5 windows installed yesterday along with sliding glass doors. When the install team came out yesterday, I was informed that my order was measured wrong by your sales guy!! So the install team couldnt install at all. Ive been waiting on this order for months now. I also informed the Window World, that I am in the middle of an adoption and NEEDED the new windows installed by this week for my final adoption process to be passed! Since my old double hung windows slam down when opened. A safety hazard. After taking down all the curtains, rods and plastic on the windows. I now will not have this done for my final child adoption approval on a sibling group. I am disappointed and heart broken that you dropped the ball on this Window World! Now, 3 siblings are going to have to wait weeks longer for their forever home. As if these children havent been through enough.
Matt Boyd and his team mate Tom installed my fourteen windows in a day and a half. I can’t praise Matt enough for his work ethic as he treated my windows as if they were his own! He is also very neat and cleans everything up when the work is completed. I would tell anyone who is thinking of replacing windows to request that Matt does the measuring and the installation!
We needed to replace our old wooden casement windows that were basically falling apart. After shopping a few different companies, we chose Window World to complete the project. Everyone was very professional through the whole process, from sales right to installation. They have a great showroom and were able to demonstrate every window option along with the numerous trim options (one that matched our woodwork perfectly). The windows look great and work perfectly. We even were able to change the design of the larger windows from a 4 pane to 3 panes with a large unobstructed center. It changed the look of the house inside and out.If you need new windows, I would highly recommend using Window World.
Customer service and installers were great! They were understanding when i kept having to reschedule for a family medical emergency out of town. The installers were great, answered all questions, cleaned up after themselves. I had 21 windows replaced some energy effiecnt ones and some the ones they advertise most of the time. Do yourself a favor spend the extra money and get the energy efficient replacement windows. The ones they advertise that are so cheap let a lot of cold air in, during the winter, even after putting plastic and heavy curtains on. They are worse with drafts than the windows i had before. The sales person should have been more upfront about that. Wish i would have known how bad they were and gotten the better ones or kept my storms up if possible. Going to try to improve the drafts with more calking around the windows, weather stripping and insulation in the space where the old weights were to see if that helps.
Took the day off work for installation but when they arrived they had the wrong window size. Had to wait another 3 weeks for the right windows to come in. Then on the second time of appointment technician called and said his truck broke down and we have to reschedule. Thats 2 days of work missed due to their mistakes. Was told because of mistakes I could get 100$ discount. So we called for new windows on our garage and told them about the discount we were promised. Havent heard back from them since. I wont do business with these people again
Terrible quality & service. I had windows installed less than a year ago. The windows are already leaking and Window World stated it was my old house and that was the reason for the leak. No other windows in my house leak besides the ones Window World Installed! I do not recommend and I highly advise anyone use them since they won’t resolve my issue or help in any way.
Installers couldnt get out the day of initial install because of truck difficulties. Was kind of bumbed out but things happen. The following day they came out and did the installation. Both guys were extremely professional and I couldnt be happier with the craftsmanship they provided to my home. They exceeded my expectations and will definitely continue to do business with this company for years to come.
We had 21 Windows, a front double door and a back slider completed by Window World. They have been excellent from introduction, estimate, ordering, delivery and installation. They were clean and picked up every scrap and left no debris which is important with 3 small children running around. I would highly recommend them to any friends or family! A+++
If I could give this company negative 10 stars I would. I have such a long story but I will condense it to this. Dave K is a terrible liar sales guy. The phone operators are not helpful and dont care about service. Took me almost three weeks to get someone to call me back to take my deposit after I approved the initial estimate. Imagine having to chase a company down to give THEM money??? Excuse after excuse, calls and texts ignored, lots of attitude - extremely unprofessional. I tried to get out of the contract but they had me as soon as they had my deposit which is 50%. Windows were promised to be installed a few weeks ago then the day before I get a call saying there was a problem and it couldnt be done. SHOCKER!! Then I was told they would be shipped on a certain date and could be installed the next day so I asked to be scheduled for then and the woman said she didnt want to lock me in because every time she did that she jinxed the customer. WHO SAYS THAT?????? Go with one of the competitors, may cost you a little more, but trust me, it will save you a lot of headaches and stress. I will say that the installer was FANTASTIC, excellent work, cleaned up any mess and was very friendly. I am just glad my journey with them is over and I will be sure to spread the word to friends and whoever will listen - DO NOT USE WINDOW WORLD!!!!!!!!!!
If I could give zero stars, I would.We had several windows replaced by Window World a few months ago. One of the windows we replaced had been leaking when it would rain. We told the salesperson this when he came to give us an estimate.This past Sunday was very windy & rainy. The replacement window was leaking the same way the original window had. It was literally raining in our bathroom. I called and left a message at Window World, asking for them to come and fix the issue.No one called us back until Tuesday. They told us a service person would be at our house on Thursday, between 9 & 11 am. He did not show up until 12;10 pm. When my husband brought up the fact that the guy was over an hour late, he did not respond. No apology, no explanation. He said nothing.My husband showed him where the issue was. The guy looked at the window for about 2 minutes, and then stated that its not their responsibility to fix, because the problem is with the frame not the window. He was very curt & rude. He actually said to my husband well, if water was coming from the gutter and leaking in, you wouldnt expect us to fix your gutters, would you? My husband said of course not, but since the issue is with the frame, about 2 inches above the replacement window, it should have been a clearly visible issue that the installers should have mentioned. The guy just continued to say it want their problem.I have to question the integrity of a company that would install a window in a bad frame. Especially when we talked about that window leaking when they did the estimate. I understand that fixing the frame is something we may need to do using another contractor, and it was not included in the price of the window. But if your installers are so incompetent that they are unaware that a frame is bad, and do not care enough about their customers to at least let them know there is an issue, then you are not a company I want to do business with.And if your service people do not value the customers time, and cannot keep appointments, and then are rude & unapologetic, I highly doubt you will be in business very long.I will never use this company again, and I will tell everyone I know to avoid them.
Discussed with the salesman that I wanted to replace 5 of my windows with new windows of the same color (dark brown exterior). He didnt mention that there was an up charge of $165 per window. I placed my order not knowing he secretly placed the order for the cheaper white Windows. When the contractor arrived they removed my old windows, then they realized that the white windows they had to install were a mistake. Too bad for me.. Since my old windows were removed I had no choice but allow them to put the white windows in. Currently Window World will not install the proper dark brown Windows unless the I pay the up charge. Very dishonest sneaky saleman and an owner who will not acknowledge their error.
DO NOT RISK IT WITH WINDOW WORLDSalesman promised us that everything should go fast and easy. Price was great. They apparently have a 2 window minimum which I think is garbage, but we had another window to replace anyways.We paid half upfront to get the windows ordered after Tony the measurement guy came out to measure.It takes 3 weeks for the windows to come in and then an additional 2 weeks to be put on the schedule. I dont know why they cant just put you on the schedule when you order to eliminate the lead time?First install attempt-- They called 30 minutes before they were supposed to show up and cancelled on us Due to weather there was a blue sky all day with a 10% chance of rain... they rescheduled us for 2 weeks later. They shouldve called me the day before. WASTED A DAY OFF OF WORK FOR ME WHICH COST ME MORE MONEYSecond install attempt-- Installers showed up a half hour late and one window was 10 INCHES TOO TALL and the other window wasnt noted that they would have to build it in with wood so they couldnt install it because they didnt have proper tools. They had to reschedule 2 more weeks later. SECOND DAY OFF OF WORK WASTED.Third install attempt-- It should only take 2 hours It took them 6 hours to install both windows. The installers did great work and are polite and knowledgeable. The issue is somewhere with management. This Tony guy is terrible at his job.They leave you with no way to contact any managers or Tony. Theyre all in meetings or not allowed to give out phone numbers. The installers and price is incredible. BUT if there is an issue, you are stuck with no one to communicate to and get taken advantage of.I would never risk using them again-- id rather buy my windows and pay a reputable contractor to install them.Such a poorly managed company.
POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. we ordered 8 windows on 10/31/15. there were not installed until early february 2016. when i complained about the long delivery time, i was told abruptly that they will only credit me $75. The installers, two very nice gentlemen, broke the shutters on the front of my house when installing the windows. 3 of the windows also came directly from the factory without screens installed. the installers advised that they would have the main office call me about the missing screens and to set up a time to come and replace my shutters. its 2 weeks later and no one has called me. I have left messages, but no response. im now stuck with broken shutters, defective windows, and $75 off an over $3000 job. VERY DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER!
I put half down late August for 2 windows.I was told that it would take 10-12 weeks. Its now mid January and still no word on a date of when I can get the windows. I asked for a 15% discount but they will only take off $50. I will never order from here again. They dont care for repeat business.
The quality of the windows seem to be what I need them to be also the professionalism of the staff along with the installation workers the two guys were great left my home the way they found it nothing was destroyed everything was put back most importantly I like the installation of the windows done meat everything in order they left with a smile and left me with one thank you Window World
Save yourself the misery and avoid working with this company. This is a window supplier that subs out the install process to other contractors. If the job goes bad (like mine) the owner accepts zero responsibility and blames others. Owner will eventually cut off all communication. Its a shame that companies like this exist and continue to get business.
What a horrendous customer service experience! Called regarding a concern with a leaking window causing mold issues, and was given the run around for two weeks! Talked with customer service rep Leslie, who repeatedly told me that her Repair Manager Angelo would call me back. In a two week period, I called 6 times and Leslie said she would give him a message, I could leave him a voice mail, or he would call me back. Nothing for one whole week! I finally received ONE voicemail message from him on day 8, called him immediately back, then no return call for another week. With my patience pushed to the limit, I called and demanded someone/anyone call me. Leslie finally said Angelo would call. Angelo finally called me yesterday. (How difficult was that Angelo and Leslie?) He immediately accused me repeatedly yelling over a two-week period which was untrue. I showed great PATIENCE for two weeks. Then he asked me to explain my issue. He was curt, rude and in the middle of explaining the issue, he cut me off and hung up on me. He obviously was not interested in hearing the problem and had already made a determination that his company would do nothing. After spending thousands of dollars on windows with them and recommendations to others, I was hung up on and never given the chance to explain the problem. It is the typical story of the times in business, just get the initial sale and money from the customer, then blow off the customer after that. Unprofessional, uncaring, and dismissive. Next, the Better Business Bureau and the Consumer Affairs Division of New York State.
Not happy at all with window world. I have a window that broke so theres no glass in it, just plastic that we tapped in. I called window world for an estimate... honestly they were not much cheaper than Andersons but i wanted the window replaced as soon as possible and Andersons estimated up to 12 weeks. The sales rep from window world said they would probably be made and installed in 6-8 weeks. I called 2 weeks ago and was told they should have an estimate on the time in the next week, I called today and Im told they are still in production and they dont know how long it will be. Oh and it takes forever to get a hold of a real person, it seems they never answer their phones.
So far pretty terrible. Signed a contract and was told 6-8 weeks. Four weeks later received a call from the window measurer and was told he had to measure the windows again and to expect it to be 6-8 weeks from that point for the windows to be fabricated. Ive called a couple times for an update and have yet to receive a call back.
I ordered two windows back in the beginning of September and was told it would be 8-10 weeks before install. Its January 14 and still nothing after they got over half of the money down. I got a letter a month ago saying they were behind on production, Im not happy with them right now
Horrible customer service !!! Pending order awaiting. Left several messages and company failed to call back, called corporate and filed a complaint because of the poor service and still await call back. This place is absolutely ridiculous. BBB complaint next! My opinion go elsewhere! And then when you file a complaint over social media they reply and ask you to call and ask for someone but again NOONE answers the phone or returns your call from a voicemail!!
Terry, our salesman was great. We ordered 7 new windows. We were living between our old and new house and when we finally made the transition, I updated our phone number. I tracked our order online and I had to call them to schedule the install because they failed to change our phone number.When they came to do the install, there was a list of about 5 “we owe you” items. I held back a portion of the payment until everything was completed. So far, I did not feel there were any issues.Another few weeks passed and I called to check in on the outstanding items. Once again, I provided them with our updated phone number and scheduled another appointment. The person who came out was very nice, but not the right person for the job. He was able to fix some of the items and ended up having to order a couple more replacement parts.After about another month, I called again to check on the status of our order. I provided our phone number for the third time so they could call me back to schedule our next appointment. Needless to say, they did not call and I had to call them. I scheduled the third appointment and provided our new phone number for the 4th time.When the installer came out to finish fixing all the open items, we found a crack in the glass on the replacement window. He had to order a replacement for the replacement.Today, I called to check on the status of the window as it has been about 2 months. The window was not in yet and they still had not changed our number. So I gave it to them for the 5th time. They said they would follow up with me tomorrow with the status on my window. I am not holding my breath.I love the windows and their employees were nice and their prices were reasonable, however their lack of follow up really stinks. It is for this reason, I give them 2 stars. The lack of follow up bothers me so much that we are replacing 7 more windows and we have decided to use another company.This process started the beginning of May 2017 and is still ongoing as of 1/2018. Seems a bit ridiculous if you ask me.
Window World installed 24 windows in our home a few years ago. The installers did an excellent job, both with the windows and the trim. Since the windows were installed, our energy bills for heating and cooling have been reduced by about 40%. Were very pleased with the quality of the windows and the savings weve experienced.
GREAT COMPANY, AND GREAT WINDOWS! i HAD 21 WINDOWS INSTALLED IN 2008 AND HAVE ONLY HAD ONE MINOR ISSUE THIS YEAR THAT THEY CAME OUT AND FIXED WITH NO QUESTIONS. THEIR TECHNICIANS ARE FANTASTIC AND VERY COURTEOUS! HIGHLY RECOMMEND WINDOW WORLD, NO BETTER WINDOW FOR THE PRICE!
This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced! The sales representative and company never returns phone calls and they take forever to get measurements done. Very poor operation here. I would highly recommend going elsewhere, the cheap price=poor customer service.

2022-03-22The install was great along with the crew who did it, but they are a third party crew that window world hires not official employees. The actual process leading up to the install was a nightmare. We went through the whole winter with boarded up windows, broken glass, and a direct winter breeze throughout the house and window world did nothing to try to speed up the process to meet THEIR original promise date. In fact, the process was delayed multiple times because they couldnt locate our windows, couldnt find a driver, or couldnt expedite anything with the warehouse. If I had realistic expectations of when my windows would have been here it wouldnt have been an issue but the salesperson guaranteed install in December when we ordered in October. We didnt get our windows until March. One of our windows also arrived cracked so who knows how long we are going to have to wait for that replacement piece of glass. My experience with the staff is that once you sign up for their windows no one cares about your experience from there. I opened up about my concerns and wanted answers with no sympathy or concern back. Youre providing me a service and clearly no one took pride in easing any concerns or working towards meeting expectations. Youd think after all of this they would offer some kind of extra assistance or compensation for the hell we were put through this winter, but I havent heard a peep since the install. Guess you can just wipe your hands clean of another unsatisfied customer. I have a $10,000 door replacement, patio door install, and 10 more windows that I need done alone and my family member was looking to have a full window replacement on a mansion renovation (approx 49 windows). I would have loved to give window world all of that business, but after the lack of customer service and concern for our situation I will not be looking to have anything else serviced by them.

Please run away fast!!!!For starters, the dates they advise you are completely fabricated, you will wait months after their promise date before getting an install. THEY DO NOT DO THEIR WORK. They simply hire random subcontractors who are sent to your house.Measuring:-After they installed one set of windows I could not believe how much smaller my window was. I was shocked to say the least! I lost almost 6 full inches from the window. The installer could not explain why the windows are MUCH smaller than my prior windows. I spoke to someone from the company who says Its expected that replacements are much smaller IM SORRY?? Expected to lose 6 very noticeable inches??After that fiasco they halted the installation since the contractor even stated that the windows were not measured properly. I was advised it would take about 6-8 weeks for the windows. Here I am months later with NO windows. I called and requested a refund.I do not know how they are still in business! I am also reporting this to the BBB and the consumer affairs division.

2022-03-30I recently purchased a house that needed all new windows… I called a total of 6 window replacement businesses locally to give me a quote. I was given prices of 22000,17000, two at 15000 , 11000 and 8000 . All of similar quality and installation. I can happily say that besides the best price , the quality and service I received was very satisfactory!

2022-08-17Ordered 5 windows on April 1st and was told by salesman ‘Skip’ from the Depew office that the windows would be in no later than mid July (8-10 weeks). It is now mid August and Window World cannot even tell me when the windows will arrive or where they are at in production. Service and communication are simply HORRIBLE!! Telling us that they have no way to contact the factory to track the order is insulting. Today, August 17, they said that they are 12 weeks out. We ordered on April 1st, 19.5 weeks ago, and they’re saying maybe September or October. That would make it over half a year, not 8,10 or 12 weeks. I can’t voice my displeasure enough and should’ve ordered from someone that could deliver. A friend ordered her windows 1 week before us and is only now getting her windows installed- 7 windows. One installer showed up for two days, did not complete the job, promised to come back on day three, did not and is left waiting on a job to be completed.STAY AWAY!!

2022-02-16Ordered 7 new windows last summer. Windows were installed within a month of ordering-- installation was not great but we were understanding. What has gotten us is we had a window INSTALLED BROKEN. We were told we can call in for the warrenty and it would be replaced. Called it in--- I still have a broken window. Window World is difficult to contact, does not communicate and REFUSES to deliver us a suitable window. Needless to say, you get what you pay for, and you get very poor customer service with this place.

2022-06-15Ordered 25 Windows back in October of 2021 from WW of Buffalo. Was told that the 8-10 week turn around for production would be more like 10-12 weeks. I was OK with this however, by February I started leaving messages. Was called back and told windows would be finished in March with install in April. Install happened in June. 50% of cost was paid upfront so money was tied up for 8 months. On install day, I was told that they would not do the drip edge wrap. I called WW because I vaguely remember the sale rep saying that would be extra but was not detailed on the invoice. WW indicated that it was an upcharge just not detailed on the quote and gave a credit of $500. Also, I was told by the installer that I was charged for window stops and he would give me a credit since I didnt need those and they were in his van. Later on the installer was upset because apparently WW called him and asked why he wasnt doing the drip edge. The installer was then upset over the drip edge credit because it came off his payment from WW. He gave the impression I should have been happy with just that window stop credit. I cut the check as agreed after credits and wrote paid in full. The installer was clearly upset with Window World and me as a customer. We did our final walk through and we both signed off on the contract as completed despite the windows not really being clean and sticker residue still on the windows which my wife and I ended up cleaning up on each one. The check marked paid in full was cash 2 business days later ( no indication on check cash in protest as I have the scanned image). We are now two weeks from the install completion and one week from the check clearing my account and now WW is taking back the credit on the deal saying I owe them. I waited 8 months for windows, couldnt get call backs from time to time on status and now I am caught in a tug of war between their contractor and WW. Feel mistreated the entire way and if I want to tell everyone to not use them. They are an awful company. Not a good way to spend grands of dollars and being treated like a pariah.

2022-05-13I have used window world over the past 5 years, if not longer. The service and excuses are getting worse and worse. As a landlord/property owner I have to keep costs as low as possible and provide a quality product to tenants. I have always used WW. Unfortunately, this is going to change moving forward. I was in need of 4 windows. Installer was unable to complete job due to a mis-measured window. Furthermore the install was never completed on the 1st date. For whatever reason, the installer didnt install trim pieces that I paid for. IF I DIDNT CHECK, it might not have been completed as he never told me . He had to come back to complete job. I am STILL waiting on the 4th mis-measured window do be installed (Ordered 9/2021 - this is 5/2022. ALWAYS HAVE TO LEAVE A MESSAGE, seems that office help is being replaced or leaves. I never, talk to the same person 2x and have to explain my situation every time! The manager/supervisor is always sick and seems to leave everything up to the office workers to fix. IF I DO NOT CALL AND CHECK ON ORDER, YOU ARE PUT TO THE BACK OF THE LINE. Prices of their product have increased to point that I will pay just a little more for a better product. My suggestion is to start shopping around. The savings isnt worth the headache.

2022-07-29I waited since October to get my order it finally arrived in may they put it in in June and it looks like a mess the sub contractor they used used the wrong color trim and caulk and my door s are not right and. The storm doors are so crooked that I cant even leave my doors open . I tried to use local and now no one will call me back to correct these problems.

2021-11-27I’d leave zero stars if I could. It’s sucks that I’d have to even leave a bad review at all because I’ve never left a bad review for any company. The house I’ve bought back in April had two broken windows so I called Window World. One last was super helpful but a couple months go by and nothing shows up or contacts me. The young lady ended up making a mistake and didn’t order the windows after paying for the deductible. I spoke with a gentleman and he assured me they would be in 4-6 weeks. I’ve called multiple times, left multiple messages and sent in a service request. No response what so ever. I hate this feeling but at this point I’d never use this company to replace windows in any of my properties. I’m sorry I had to leave this review.
