I was very happy with the customer service and the salesman. No pushing to buy. I had a rush order for 14 windows and they had an opening not even a month later and my windows were put in an a day. Even a large picture window. They are so nice. Many of my neighbors have commented on how nice they look. Easy to use and clean. Looking forward to a warm winter indoors. They installers were pleasant and friendly and efficient. Cleaned up all the mess they made which wasn’t much. They worked efficiently. Prices were very reasonable. Definitely will use them again
Love my new Windows from Window World! They were installed a couple months ago but I still pull up to my house each day and just love the look of them. They quality of the window is fantastic and the guys that I worked with through the whole process were awesome too. From Gary in sales, who did not try to sell me anything, he came in showed us the window sample told us about the process and was honest. Never did I ever feel pressured to buy this window but knew from the start it was a good window. John who was lead on the installation was very professional as well as the rest of his crew. They were fast and very very clean. Nothing was left out of place when they left. Cant wait to call them to get my sliding doors and other windows done. Thank you for a very easy and painless experience.
We had a bunch of windows replaced in 2016.The wrap was huge on our brick house and looks totally out of place. Into 2018 I got them to come back to fix the leaking windows and the wrap that was falling off. Now in 2021 some of the wrap looks like it is bent and one window seems leaky again. I would say I am mostly disappointed and sad after working with window world and dread calling them back to fix these things again.
So happy with my new beautiful windows!I had 10 windows replaced.The 2 guys that replaced mine arrived on time and were very hardworking. They were also courteous and did an excellent and clean job. I am extremely happy with this company. From start to finish everyone I dealt with were super nice, knowledgable and honest. I highly recommend them.
Wish I could share a positive story about Window World, but at this point, I cannot.The WW installer shattered the interior glass of one door during the installation process in May of 2019. Weve been living with a shattered, taped-up door that has resembled a crime scene all summer. Glass shards fall onto our floor every time we walk in our out of the door. Each time we have guests, we have to explain that it is a Window World slider and that their installer damaged it, and we are still waiting for them to complete the job. It is now August. Several calls have been made to the office for delivery/install status updates. Each time I call I receive no usable information, only excuses. Promises by the office to call me back are made. They never call back.Was planning to contract with them for other needed home improvements, but theyve lost my confidence, and thousands of dollars worth of additional business and referrals.I think that we have been more than willing to work with this contractor. We can accept that mistakes can happen. Ultimately, however, it is all in how a contractor can effectively communicate and resolve the issue that matters. If they can pull out of this customer service flat-spin somehow, I will certainly update my review.
John and the team did an amazing job! They installed 19 windows and the end result was just beautiful. They were fast and professional, and they left my house even cleaner than when they started! I’d highly recommend them for anyone looking for windows in the Capital District.
We just bought windows for our entire house. So far,so good. We have to wait an extremely long time due to covid-19. Supplies are limited. I can only hope it continues to be a good experience
We love our new windows. They’re high quality- very efficient, they look great, and they were expertly installed. Easy to clean, and a great warranty is included. Honestly couldn’t be happier with them.
We just had 2 very very large windows replaced. Rom and Ryan were professional, efficient and very detail oriented. We could not be happier with the finished product. They were pleasant, got the job done, cleaned up after themselves and left. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend Window World to even my fussiest friends
I literally just had a full compliment of replacement windows installed and I couldnt be happier. The install went very smooth and the windows look better than I could have hoped.When deciding which contractor to use, please remember that people are more likely to leave a negative review than a positive review. I would absolutely recommend these folks to my family and friends.
Im not very happy with buying a window last summer & they said like 2 months for installation !!! Of course with the covid I understand¡!! But not so much 6 months later & dont sell windows you dont have¡! Also dont tell me I the winy that your going to put plastic up that never happened!!!
I was very satisfied with the workmanship of the fellow that was here to do my windows. He was neat and clean with eveything and picked up all the debris when he was done.When i am financially able i will be calling Window World again to replace more windows.Ellen Hughes
Got my windows installed on 8/14, I absolutely love that they were on time and efficiently. They cleaned up after themselves and took the old windows. My house looks so different now. So much light coming in and reduction in the street noise.. and my cat seems to like them too.
I have used this Window World for two separate projects and I have been very happy with their work both times.My first install was in 2007 and was my entire first floor (minus two picture windows). The windows were extremely affordable, easily the best deal I could find in the area. For that price I was expecting lots of corner cutting, but Window World followed through like true professionals.My second install was in 2011 and was my entire second floor. Again the initial estimate went quickly and efficiently, the window install was scheduled and executed in a timely manner, and I had no issues whatsoever with the product.The windows themselves are excellent. They really help cut down on draft and cold from the outside. They open and close easily, and are easy to take in and put out for cleaning (or for getting a mattress in and out of a tough spot in the house).My best experience with Window World, though, has been their customer service. One window had balancing issues about a month after install (would not stay open, hard to close, etc). Put in a call to window-world and they came out and fixed it up, no issues. In addition, I had a renter/roommate who did a number of the house. He shattered 1 window and broke off several of the window latches. Another call to Window World and everything was put right, no issues at all.Finally, in 2014 I wanted to take advantage of a home improvement incentive program the state was running. The agency was extremely picky about what paperwork they wanted, and my receipts of window install were not enough for them. They wanted copies of varies forms sent directly from the installing company. I called Window World and spoke with Laura who immediately looked up my records (from 7 and 3 years before!) and made copies of exactly what the state needed. They really went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed.I cant say enough about Window World. You absolutely cant beat the price they are offering, and for that price you still get a good product AND a solid company with incredible customer service. Thats not a combination you find often.
After a long wait from purchase to installation, crew arrived and did a great job installing the windows, cleaned up and we were very satisified
It started with one window upstairs that had a broken rope and acted like a guillotine. I eventually replaced all the upstairs windows on the west side of the house and the kitchen window downstairs which I havent been able to open to air out cooking odors for years. What perfection from Window World: wonderful sales staff, exceptional installer, and the windows are better than our original ones from when we built the house. I fully intend to eventually replace them all ... using Window World exclusively.
Very up set with the workmen ship that they brought to my home. They left there letter propped up in to there trailer full of broken glass!! You want to talk about a liability for WW I have two children that live here and are under the age of 6 NOT A GOOD IDEA??? They left my siding half nailed on in some spots and not nailed at all in other? They also left mud all over the siding after they finished. I shouldnt have to wash my siding when its brand new? 3 weeks later strong winds came through parts of my siding gone? Thats not right. The window they put in my living room has glue all over the in side of the window thats not coming off and he didnt even bother to clean up the caulking around the bottom of the window looks like he smeared it with his finger and left it. I would not recommend WW to anyone after this. They said we pride our self on there work they do but they really dont they only care until they get your money then dont want to hear it. really had high hopes for this seeing I waited a long time for new siding I guess I should have paid more money and had it done the right way!
The installers were terrific they were clean neat and tidy did a very professional job cleaned up afterwards friendly polite the installation went perfectly well the windows are everything we hoped for. beautiful very functional and it was a great experience we are very pleased with the results
We had problems with a bow window in our living room that was 7-8 yrs old. It started to show signs of leaking after all that time. After several men from the company came to look at the window they had someone come from out west to look at it. They replaced the whole window at no charge! Would reccomend this company to everyone!
This is a company that bites more than they can chew. Sales process is very effective, they will promise you anything you want, and tell you stories about an Owner who cares very much about the work they do and his customers. The reality - different. Its all done by subcontractors, some of them without any allegiance to Window World. They will do faulty work, just so that you can go back and pay them more money. That life-warranty they sell...? Well, anytime they call, it will be about six months before they will do anything about it, if they do it at all. I say this as a customer who spent more than 60K with them, and so you would think I had some leverage - none. Well probably end up in Court to get them to fix the very things they got paid for, but did not do properly... So, this is what you get with this company.
Person showed up when he was supposed to and did a great job installing 9 windows. The windows are very well made and very easy to maintain.
I ordered one window at the end of November it’s now early March and still no window, I would think long and hard about doing business with this company again. It’s too bad because the salesman couldn’t have been a nicer guy but enough is enough.
Great overall experience. Received all expected notifications in a timely manner. Installers were friendly, on time and kept site clean. Very happy with final product and would use again if needed.
Windows are good installation and capping not good I had to go back and caulk around the windows also thought they would replace a rotted sill but capped it instead. Trim work inside horrible.
Terrible service as far as getting order correct. They suffer communication problems. Salesman not reliable. Terrible response time on all levels, especially when their office is located less than 15 miles away. The actually workers, who appeared to be subcontractors did good work. I suggest look for true caring local businesses.
I have used Window World twice now because their quality is undeniable. I intend to use them again. You cant find this combination of quality & service in the big box stores.
YOU CANT BEAT THERE PRICE AND QUALITY OF MATERIALS. THERE WINDOWS ARE JUST AS GOOD IF NOT BETTER THEN ANYONE ELSES. THE PRICE IS AMAZING STRAIGHT UP NO GAMES THERES A PRICE AND IT IS THE SAME NO MATTER WHAT. NO ONE CAN COMPETE. THIS IS CORNY BUT ORIGINALLY IN MY SEARCH FOR WINDOWS I SAW THE REST AND WHEN WINDOW WORLD CAME I SAW THE BEST. THE INSTALLERS DO VARY AND THAT IS THE ONLY VARIABLE. I WOULD TAKE A GOOD LOOK AT THE INSTALL AND MAKE SURE YOUR HAPPY BEFORE THEY LEAVE.

Called for estimate, they stated would not complete an estimate if I only wanted 2 windows replaced. A place to refuse business. Crazy times

Had an appointment for today took time off work they never called they never showed I guess I will be calling someone else . Thank you for waisting my time now I have to wait that much longer to get the job done.
Ordered 4 windows in November. Just told they are backed up and cannot install until Mid March
After 11 months I found a section of trim on an upper window where the installer hid shoddy work. I sent photos, made phone calls... Nothing. They didnt even respond.
Not a dependable company at all. They took my money and never did the work. Still waiting on my refund as well!!!

2021-09-01I considered Window World since a neighbor had previously had windows installed by them and was very pleased. I had my consult in February and was told that there was a six month wait time (which I was fine with because no one wants windows installed in the middle of winter anyway). The prices were better than the competition and the lifetime guarantee is definitely a plus so I pulled the trigger.My new windows were installed in the beginning of August and Im very happy with how things turned out. The guys showed up early on the day of and were very friendly and professional. In addition to all the other windows I had done, I had two sets of crank style windows being turned into one big slider window (kitchen and dining room) and they made it look effortless.I would definitely recommend Window World to anyone looking for new/updated windows.

2022-05-06We had both new windows and siding installed in 2017. We had a good experience with the sales person and both installations were well done. I recommend them for either service. NOTE: I offer three stars because the business is unresponsive for repair work. Their siding team does not want to come out and set up for a repair. So, I recommend them for full installation but you are better off hiring a general contractor for any repairs you may need later.

2022-05-11We love our new windows. The entire experience from a service and product perspective was excellent. Only down side was the lead time because of supply chain issues. However they were up front about it and set clear expectations and they were actually earlier than planned. They handled it extremely well and kept us informed every step of the way.

2022-06-21I have been trying to get our garage door install finished in complete in over a year now. Window world has my full payment but work still nit complete. I completely understand supply shortages but what I don’t understand is the poor service even when speaking to the gm many months back. I have tried to be patient during the process but my understanding and trust has run out … The receptionist who answer the phones have always been pleasant and gotten things moving but why am I as the customer who has paid her bill in full still chasing this around to get completed a year later?

2022-07-07I had all the windows in my house replaced, one was cracked during installation in October, called to order a new window, after six months I called, and they said the window was in , they never called to let me know. They cancelled that appointment in June, now its July and still have a cracked window. Their lifetime warranty isnt any good if you have a broken window for 8-9 months. Good thing heat and AC are free

2022-04-20The salesman Eddie mis- measured and ordered the wrong windows. Its now going on a year and I still dont have the right windows, and one is still my old window. Ive asked three times to speak to the manager- he doesnt return my call. Ive been told the windows were ordered as a rush order and we would have them the first week in March- didnt get them. Then we were told the beginning of April, now its May. TERRIBLE customer service. Ridiculous salesman and the manager is a joke. Beware of this company.

2021-04-01I hired Window World after receiving a recommendation from a friend. After meeting with the sales person at my home I was confident they were the company to hire. The windows took a while to come in as they were custom made and due to Covid-19 and there were supply and manufacturing bottlenecks to be resolved. When the windows finally came in, they came to do the installation. I was very pleased with the work and the talent of their installation person (Jason). He was thorough, knowledgeable and professional! He completed the work and cleaned up well! I would definitely hire them and their windows come with a lifetime warranty! Thank you, Window World!!

2021-03-16We have a very old small log cabin in the Adirondacks that had 7 windows that are all slightly different in size. The windows were so old that they opened inward and had wooden blocks to keep them locked. They also had hinges that were painted over many times over the years making them very difficult to get out. When one worker showed up I was nervous because we had to move a lot of our furniture since the space is extremely small.Jason did an outstanding job and made it clear he knew his trade well. Not only did he arrive in a timely manner but he finished the job in one day. He was extremely thorough never rushing and carefully rechecked his work. Everything was cleaned up.I am writing this review because I had read some others prior to his arrival and honestly wasn’t sure what to expect. Did our windows take a long time to arrive? Yes that part was unfortunate but it was due to covid so I don’t hold them accountable for that. The windows were worth the wait. I think that it’s clear when a worker values their craftsmanship it shows. Thank you for taking such great care, I hope your business recognizes your hard work!

2021-02-01I needed to replace my bay window and decided to go with a double hung. Very professional from when the sales associate visited me for the free consultation, to the follow up calls to confirm, to the installation itself. The install happened on a cold day and was done so efficiently and smoothly. They made the new window gorgeous with removing the old bay window and roof that covered the old window. Would highly recommend them to everyone!

2021-03-07Good value. Windows are nice. They made me feel a little like they were doing me a favor by replacing my windows and taking my money. But they did a nice job, with minimal touch up work left for me to do on the interior. I do recommend them.
