Windows We Are came to the rescue for a small window job that nevertheless was very important. Pleased with their work, then I hired them for a bigger job: replacing an exterior door and storm/screen door to my deck. Their folks did a great job from start to finish: working with me on the phone to identify exactly the doors that met my needs, measuring in my home and then super installation down to the last detail. Couldnt recommend this company more highly. Expertise, fair price and excellent service!
The sales team at Windows We Are made a daunting experience significantly less so. My sales person Jimmy was knowledgeable and patient , and was able to help me figure out the type of windows I needed to meet the building codes and to specify a product that maximized energy efficiency. I found their pricing to be very reasonable compared to other companies. The installation of my six windows was done in a single day. Altogether, I had a great experience and would highly recommend their services to anyone considering a purchase of new windows.
I called several places to repair my window, before I called Windows we Are. From the initial phone call, I spoke to Jason, he was courteous and professional. An added plus was to get service immediately. When the workers showed up, Joe and Brandon they were amazing. They explained every detail, called me before they came, exactly on time as discussed, very kind and they both had the greatest personality. I truly appreciate good customer service. I would recommend them to anyone. Would give 10 starts, if I could.
Awesome. Lots of window sizes in stock and very polite service. Prices a few bucks , 20-40$ over competition, but you get your windows instantly. No 2-3 weeks wait for orders 👍👍👍
We recently needed some repairs to our windows. We had heard about Windows We Are from neighbors so we called them. The result was great! Courteous staff, fast estimate, clear explanation of the necessary repairs and the expected repair cost, efficient repair and service, and a good experience with the repair crew. We would recommend these folks with no hesitation.
So far so good. Havent had my windows installed yet but so far the customer service is outstanding. I had a window picked out but the gentleman who helped me explained in detail (and showed me on the model windows) why he would recommend a model that was actually a little bit cheaper. Compliments to Susan who has answered every question / request I have with grace and patience. If the installation goes this well I will need a ten star choice.
We live in a coop apartment building with strict standards, and Windows We Are is one of the few approved vendors. The pricing is very reasonable, and the installation team was courteous, expert and efficient (began at 9am, completed by 4pm). The new windows are a pleasure to use, and the recommendation to maintain dark brown on the exterior but change to white on the interior was knowing: the minimal price increase greatly improved the interior decor, opening up the rooms. We also had the kitchen and bathroom windows frosted for privacy.
Poor attitude & follow up. Came to them from a recommendation from a big customer. Our job was just 1 sliding patio door and they acted as if they didnt care. After several attempts to get a quote, we went with a private contractor and got a better door at 1/2 the price.Still way better than Renewal by Anderson who was twice the price of Windows We Are!
Bolivar helped us out a lot and was very responsive regarding our window order. Bartholomew, Boris, and the rest of installation team did a fantastic job putting everything in. Professional and quality work.
Sales and installation folks were very polite. Door installation took three visits to get the security locking mechanism right. End result was good, as my wife is very satisfied with the door.
Windows was not bad. Installation was very clean. Price not bad. Company replaced for us 2 exterior windows. After 4 month window frame was cracked when we called other window company they told us window frame is cracked because Window We Are did not installed enough hardware in to the window frame. I called Window We Are and told them this problem. So if you hire this window company be careful.
Had 2 dealings with this company , the first one was a fixed window that needed to be replaced. they came measured and when they returned they told me that it would be a big and messy job. I postponed the job due to the messy job. Called them back and instructed them to replace the window and i would have the mess repaired. when the installer arrived i told him what transpired and he laughed . He was able to remove the window without and mess and replace the window easily. He was neat clean and professional . My second and last dealing with them , I needed 3 windows capped. Received a price from Jimmy for 125.00 per window total $375.00. When their rep looked at the windows he increased the price to $150.00 per window, total 450.00. I agreed and gave him $100.00 cash as a down payment balance $350.00 with a receipt. after they installed the windows I called them and spoke to Jimmy and gave him my credit card information to take payment for the balance. After 10 minutes they called me back I believe it was Stephan told me that I received a cash quote price on the capping and i should come to the store and pay cash for the job I told him that I would go to the store to pay in cash for the window capping. I looked over my receipt and there was no mention of cash price for the job. I called them back and told them that I would not pay cash and that my credit card would be the only way they could take the payment. I was very upset at they way they use these deceptive practice to charge their customers. I have several properties and considered them to replace the windows but that will never happen. I used them because they were a neighborhood place and wanted to give them my business. I will not recommend them to any one. They should stop using their deceptive measures.
These are real pros. The windows we bought look and work great. Installation was painless-- ten windows took two days with minimum disturbance.Our only complaint was that they never got back to us about retrofitting insect screens... which was disappointing.Overall A minus and we would recommend them highly.Greg Frux & Janet Morgan
Had 12 windows and a door installed all in one day. Another crew came to help complete the job after they finished their assignment. The installation crew was outstanding. The install of the windows was better than expected. Would highly recommend Windows We Are.
My neighbor used them and so I decided to give them a try. The service was professional from start to finish. The installers were competent and friendly. Love our new windows; its like living in a new apartment. Recommend!
Theyre not expensive, and they were willing to do a small job in downtown Manhattan, which the other places I priced were not. The window itself was pretty well made.However the installation left something to be desired. After two attempts the installer never managed to get the window in straight, because he conformed the window frame to the old dormer, which wasnt plumb. So the window closes crooked and its noticeable from the street. It works, but you get what you pay for.
Professional and friendly, the installers pointed out some additional fixes without pushing. I was delighted that they did the extra work--and first checked with the office to relay the price. They even put back the window shade. Highly recommended.
Mine was the first of the apartments in our coop to have all of the windows replaced by Window We Are, Inc. They were efficient, clean, and the windows are a vast improvement over the old ones. I recently called them to review how to wash the windows. One of the staff walked me through it quickly making it easy to pull the window down for washing. Im really pleased!

Will never use this company again! Such a hassle to get a window. Told them that the wood underneath was rotted and needed to be replaced. They told us this is something they do. When they came to re-measure the window for the second time and the previous window and frame were removed they were in shock and stated they could not put a window in without a wood frame. They play games and state they never said that they replace wood frames. They then come to place the window after WE put a wood frame in and now they have an issue with measurements. They then proceeded to break my new heater that was just put down the night before. What a nightmare, I now have to replace the heating system. We go to the store to tell them this and the installer says what happened?! The window fell out already?. Is this something I should be expecting? Very unprofessional especially with the attitude and the way they talk to their customers. Will never do business with them again! They wouldnt fully refund for the damage there men caused when shown a recepit of the damage. UPDATE: RESOLVED WITH JIMMY FROM WINDOWS WE ARE
From start to finish, Windows We Are did everything they said they would do, and more. We had the complication of landmark windows, and making sure that the brick and wood fittings into the building were landmark-worthy as well as the window construction. Having dealt with another big-name manufacturer-installer on other landmark windows, I can tell you that I would not go to anyone else but Windows We Are for my windows in the future.
Good quality and excellent service. Owner was helpful with deciding on the best door and the quality of their windows was better than another window I purchased for the second floor and half the price. Windows may arrive later than expected but worth the wait.
Please do not use this company.They did arrive on time and left the place clean. However, the windows were not installed correctly and don’t close and lock all of the way. I have called them at least six times to schedule them to come and look, and to get a quote for one more window.They admitted that the windows weren’t locking because the installation needed correcting (they are bowed) but won’t find the time to come here to fix it because I live “all the way in Manhattan” (which I just looked up on the map...they are only 14 miles away in Queens. Why bother accepting the job then?)Extremely unprofessional and my children and I are stuck with windows that won’t safely lock in our New York City home, let alone keep in the heat or A/C efficiently.Shame on you, Windows We Are.
Bought 7 top of the line windows for under $2,000. Great quality, great features. On time delivery. I installed them myself and saved 13K over what the those other famous replacement windows guys quoted me for 7 installed windows.
Super affordable windows came with extra fast turn around. I hoped they would be decent, but they were excellent. I will definitely use this company for all of my future needs.

They rescheduled last minute and moved the installation up a month which was annoying, but when the installers got here they did a great job. Very fast and effective and the company sent enough people to swap out seven windows in one day which was impressive.
What I like best about Windows We Are is their customer service. I have a Jelwyn Door that I did not purchase through Windows We Are. My contractor bought it and installed it. I had a problem with the lock and called Windows We Are. They helped me find a competent lock smith in the area who could fix this type of lock. I appreciate the excellent customer service. In addition to excellent customer service, Windows We Are have a staff of professional installer of their windows. They are so clean when they work. Windows We Are stocks windows of every conceivable size, and all of fine quality. I phoned them from my home in White Plains and they had my windows ready for pick-up when I arrived at their store. Finding replacement windows for the attic of my 1919 farmhouse, all unusual sizes, would have been impossible without Windows We Are. They have my highest recommendation.
Have used them twice, both time to replace 5 windows in two separate apartments. They do consistently good work and are priced fairly. I think of them first when I have to replace or repair windows.

Windows We Are replaced and upgraded all our windows over a decade ago. More recently someone threw a rock through our picture window. Windows We are came, measured and installed our large window. Dealing with them has been consistently professional and efficient.
We went to purchase a window for a brownstone and gave measurements. They had a few size options... We purchased a bronze double pane & double hung window for a reasonable price. The purchase was quick and window loaded in our van.
I contacted them for a proposal to supply and install two double-hung windows, three transom windows, and a door. Emailed Scott my plans a month and a half ago. After a couple of weeks of no response, called to remind them. The person took a message for Scott, but I heard nothing. Called back once again asking if I should expect a proposal, was promised a follow up call. Nada.
I have been buying windows from this store for the last 10 years,I have always found them to be very helpful. The window are available in the time frame given. You cant go wrong when buying from this store.

Great place to deal with. Many years ago had new windows installed with the blinds inside the glass. Great windows !!!! After that had two windows replaced with one picture window. Great job all around.
Called, gave measurements waited 4-5 days for an estimate and no call. Then i call again to remind them. They said they would call me the next day, of coarse no call... gave up on them and used another company. I was not impostant to them. If possible zero stars from me. Hell with you guys.

We needed a fix to double-hung windows that would not stay up. Windows We Are did it quickly, effectively and at reasonable cost. It sure beat buying new windows.
Windows We Are , I call the company for the first time , I just move to Jersey the windows in the basement were never change , I custom size made , and they were able to deliver in two weeks , it a great company for the price for it being in New York , I was online they wanted $800 dollars for 4 windows they cut that price in half thank you for my windows , Great job .

Called and emailed to get someone to come out for an estimate. Didnt receive a response. Weeks later someone called and said they would send someone out. Again, no one came or ever called back...

I ordered windows for my front of my house 2 front double windows i paid for full screens they came with half screens so i called them they said they will order the full screens and will contact me when they come in after 3 weeks nothing i called them they put me for a run around actedlike they never herd of me or the screens so after they looked up the bill they said ok it said full screens they will get them and it will take 2 weeksafter 3 weeks they said they were in they never called me i had to call them they made appointment to install them when they came they werenot the correct screens but the installer put them in anywayunacceptable fix after the sale did not want to be bothered to order the screens and ordered the wrong ones forget them after the sale they dont back up there work or there failures i should not have to call them after 3 weeks and never ordered them they figure i would forget about it
This is by far the worse company I have ever dealt with. They came late with an aggressive attitude which I asked them to leave without giving me the estimate. Stay as far away as possible from this company. Its not worth it.
Service was prompt, windows look fine, many installers arrived (maybe seven) they worked fast but left a mess.

I thought I would give this place a try even though many reviews say they never get back to you with an estimate after they come to take measurements. They never did get back with the estimates even after they came to my home and after I went back there again!

2022-07-20Jimmy is a very unprofessional sales rep. Never return phone calls. So many times ordered wrong parts and still Missing part of my orders. Its been 3 months still not complete job. I guess i am going to hire other people to finish job and buy missing parts again. Not recommend this business especially Jimmy.

2022-06-04A year after having 9 windows replaced by Windows We Are I can honestly say Im glad I chose them. Scott and his crew were professional hardworking perfectionists. My LePage windows are beautiful and make a striking difference to the look of my house. If Scott blows you off in the beginning, be patient. Once he gets to you on his roster he will be committed till the end.

2021-10-18In 2012 I used Windows We Are to replace two windows in my basement after Hurricane Sandy. They did a good job and their workers were efficient. This past summer 2021 I decided to use them again to replace two living room windows. I made several phone calls to their secretary who made numerous promises to me that a salesperson will call me back but they never did. My last call, she promised a salesperson would meet me in person at the store at a specific date and time. I went there at the correct date and time and there was no salesperson but the repair guy who left me his card. He had me fill out a form and said next week someone will call me to set up an appointment. 4 months later, still no one has called me to replace my windows or set up an appointment. It looks like this company forgot about the middle class little guy. If I could give zero stars I would. I went with another company and their communication and work was ten times better.--Michael J. 2021-12-29A few month ago I called them out to replace a window. The tech that came out took measurements and assured me that if the window was in stock it would be installed withing a few days. If it had to be ordered it would take a 8 weeks. Havent heard from them since! I called back and was told someone would be in the neighborhood NO SHOW! Seems like if its not a big profitable job they dont want it! I took my business elsewhere.

2021-09-02I usually don’t leave reviews, but when I saw that other people are being treated the same as I was, I thought I should. First, they do charge a $65. estimate fee that does not get applied to your job, even if you use them for the work. When I dared to question why the estimate fee wasn’t applied to my job, I was told by the service manager that I should take my business elsewhere. He was insulting and came off as a bully. Apparently many customers are told this, so business must do very well if they tell customers to go away. I did get the window repairs done and the repair man was fine. I’m writing this review about the lack of professionalism of the manager. Keep in mind, I have been their customer over 20 yrs and had new door, and window installations and repairs done by them in the past, so apparently customer loyalty doesn’t matter.

2020-11-17Great experience. Jimmy was personable and very helpful. Had everything ready when we walked into the showroom. We needed a replacement window and was told by another vendor 8 week turn-around. Windows We Are had it in stock and 30 minutes later we had it in our house, waiting to be installed.

2017-02-28Update: Ive used Windows We Are four times now and Ive been extremely satisfied every time. I plan on using them for two more projects and would recommend them all day long. Great company, friendly staff, quick, efficient installation service. 👍Two of my neighbors had windows installed by this company. The buildings are landmark, so the window specifications are very exacting. The windows were so beautifully done, I took a business card from them.Ive got a few broken windows in my house, so I gave Windows We Are a call, along with a few others, for good measure. Im so glad I did!Not only did the estimate come in at least $100 less than the others, I couldnt be happier with the end result.The other companies told me one window needed a ballast replaced, when it was actually only that the window had popped out of the shoe, so it was an easy fix.If you call this company, you will get good, straight forward window repair at a very fair price (which counts for a LOT in a neighborhood like Park Slope, where they jack up the price on everything).Aaron did our repairs and he was informative, efficient, careful of our furniture and actually looked me in the eye when he spoke to me. He was really great!Its nice to be able to write a good review for a good company with good workers and Im happy to do it for these guys!Highly recommended.

2020-07-05The removed and installed seven windows in the front of our home. They also replaced the framing and moulding and even installed some baseboard moulding that we needed installed. They did a great job and were very clean. No complaints at all. I also appreciated that they wore masks the whole time being that I’m pregnant and was concerned about COVID-19. We definitely plan on using them again to install the windows in the back of our home in a few months.
