Go to wizard burger 🍔 and you wont know the difference on top of that the combination of flavors cant be beat. My only recommendation is whatever you get add bacon 🥓 😋 and get chicken tenders instead of tots what the hell its vegan 🤣 seriously soooo freaking good 👍 drove there last weekend just for lunch a 3hr round trip. Going there just for dinner Friday 😁😉😋
Vegan eats review:Came here thanks to 518 Vegan.Was not disappointed.First off, milkshakes reverted me to a 7-year old sitting in the kitchen counter squeezing copious amounts of Nesquik into my cup.The staff is super friendly and offer great suggestions.Tots were perfectly crisp on the outside and soft in the inside, not soggy at all.Raptor chickn was ok. A tad overcooked but I can see how just a little less cooked it would be killer. Not sure but it might have been palm of hearts. Yum.Looking forward to trying more eats including their often talked about Kahuna burger.
This place is the stop for your burger and tots fix. We drove 20 minutes out of way to give it a go and were not disappointed. Burger and drink selection was quite extensive. We took it to go but it seemed like a very chill spot with a relaxed vibe. Gentleman at the counter was extremely nice and helpful to this out-of-towner. Get here when you can for sure! Thanks Wizard!
Food was outstanding (we got the Barbarian burger w/ added cheese, and the chili cheese tots) and the staff members were attentive and super friendly! We are definitely stopping by the next time we’re in the area.

Stopped in there before a show at empire live. Walked in and over heard a group leaving because of the vegan only offerings. I am NOT a vegan...but i will say that their food is not at a disadvantage because its not meat. in fact in a blind taste test im sure most wouldnt be able to tell the difference or just embrace the different flavor or their offerings. If im even back in the area i will go out of my way to stop back. Counter person was nice, place was clean and service was fast. Good Job!
This place is amazing. I got the Raptor, which is crispy chicken lettuce and ranch. I got it to go and it held together beautifully on the way home. Ill definitely be back!
I am happy that I found this place, quite by accident, but it apparently was meant to be because Wizard Burger has been on my mind ever since. I ordered their Bilbo-Q burger (aka crack in a bun) made with a vegan impossible patty, complete with bbq sauce and jalapeños, and geez man! It was so big and sloppy and SO MUCH GOODNESS came out of that one order that I am longing to order it again.I for sure recommend this spot whether you are vegan or just looking for a healthy alternative.
Came to Albany for a show. The restaurant we planned on going to was over seating and was so awkward. We wandered until we stumbled upon Wizard Burger. Best thing that happened. Phenomenal service, amazing atmosphere, and the food was. Definitely will be revisiting and highly recommend.

Went here with some friends who are Vegan (a meat eater myself) I think the highest praise I can offer this querky burger joint is Im not sure I could tell you it wasnt a meat burger. 10/10 will definitely visit again.
So good. Im all for using plant based alternatives. Its delicious!If it catches on, maybe the big chains will do the same, and the meat we do consume will be treated more humanely than they are now.
The burgers at Wizard burger are incredible. I tried the Orc popper which has jalapeños, cream cheese and Melba sauce. Omg. Amazing. Only complaint is that they should give you a wet nap for your hands when you eat it. Also, they have possibly the best onion rings Ive ever had. The ambiance is nice as well. Cozy with long tables, and looked a bit like a wizards study. I will definitely be going back to try out more of their menu.
Excellent vegan food here. The burgers were excellent and the meat eaters could barely tell the difference. The atmosphere and service were good too.
Cannot say enough good about this place. i have a very hard time trying new things, especially once ive found something that i really really like, but ive tried so. many. things. off of this menu and have loved ~*everything*~. they were even able to accomodate a relatively large order with very little to no notice back in October 2021; we absolutely HAD to have these burgers and chikn sandwiches at our wedding! i wish it was closer, though, so we could have it delivered (its actually probably better that its not... so i *cant* have it delivered lol).
The dudes who brought us Burrito Burrito have outdone themselves again with this place. As with their burritos, the burgers here are huge and decadent with unique flavors.
My boyfriend and I were thrilled to finally visit Wizard Burgers new physical location after previously ordering from the pop-up store around a year ago. We got the Orc Popper and the Mumbo Jumbo with a side of fried pickles and WOW. Even though I dont necessarily consider myself vegan the Orc Popper was one of the BEST burgers Ive ever had! The Mumbo Jumbo (pictured) was pretty amazing too. A bit pricey but you definitely get what you pay for here. Were eager to go back but Im going to have a hard time ordering something else!

This place is magic... First spot well bring anybody, vegan or otherwise.Love the burgers and breakfast sandwiches (and especially breakfast burger) but you cant go wrong with anything here. Excited that theyve added more to their bar selection and just brought in an espresso machine too.
Stopped on way to NYC for a quick car bite with my Mom. Fast service. The burgers were great, and my gf bun was better than ones elsewhere! The Tater Tots were the best Ive had since I was a kid! Hot, crunchy and soft, with that extra oil layer. Yep, it was a cheat day.

I’m so happy I stumbled in here. I am visiting from out of town and googled vegan places. The first place that came up was “The Harlow” (across the street)The hostess was so rude and I didn’t end up staying. Having no idea “Wizard Burger” was vegan I ended up just walking in here to see by chance if they had anything I could eat.Well, this place is amazing! All Vegan with gluten free options. Customer service was exceptional and the food was even better!! So happy I was denied at the other place or else I would have never found this gem!!!Will definitely be back next time I’m in town.

I tried the Big Kahuna Burger its soooo good it was my first time trying it but my husband had it before he loved it glad they put a Vegan spot downtown.
Awesome vegan burger on Impossible patty. I just had the basic burger with cheese and it was solid. Sweet potato tots were really good too. Cant wait to go back and try out more of the menu.

Great burgers and onion rings. The raptor is to die for. The only complaint I have was the onion rings and sweet potato tots were soggy. Definitely will go back though!
Great vegan option in Albany. The Sorcerer is one of the best vegan burgers Ive ever had. I typically prefer Beyond to Impossible because I find Impossible to be too greasy but Wizard cooks it just right. Absolutely delicious, and extremely decadent. In a good way!
Great Vegan joint. Personally im not a vegan but I took someone who was and we both thought it was some of the best burgers we’ve ever had regardless if it was meat or not. Their burgers are the kind that you both can’t and don’t want to put down.I got the orc popper and man the mix of flavors were something unique and tasty. Good blend of sweet and salty but if I’d recommend getting plenty of napkins If you choose this one. We also got their chili cheese tots which was a good portion size and was filling in of its self.For those looking to have a beer they have a good selection of local stuff (they got utica club) as well as some cool National stuff.I also have to mention their bathroom situation. Which yes they have one but it is one of the funniest bathroom locations I’ve seen. Not going to ruin it but they are clean so don’t worry about that.I’d recommend this place to meat eater and vegan alike but I’d particularly recommend this to any vegan who once was a meat eater and is missing that feeling of chowing down on a good greasy burger.
Amazing vegan food! So tasty every time. My only request is that you pleeeease add a gluten free sandwich option. I’ve been making compromises in order to have my delicious wizard burger and have had not so good reactions from it. It would mean a lot to a lot of people!
The search for the best vegan restaurant is over. This place is amazing. Historic location. Eclectic menu, decor and music. A perfect recipe. Service is outstanding. Vegan gastronomy on the next level. it is an adventure for the senses. The recommendation by Allie was perfect and made this experience thoroughly unique and enjoyable.

Yo, they are unbelievable. I’ve eaten here about 5 times and turned on 3 carnivore pals. Umm the service is unrealistically fast (dunno how they do that). I mean the flavors tho?! No words.
Unreal. Grabbed a couple burgers with my kid before the Flaming Lips show (easy walk from Quackenbush garage, then easy walk to Palace) and we have been raving more about the burgers than the show (sorry Wayne). I got the Orc, my son got the Big Cahuna… we couldn’t stop being wowed bite after bite. I have cooked with Impossible in lieu of beef for as long as it’s been in stores, but I have never come close to the layers of flavor and fantastic in these burgers. No joke, it’s worth the 45 minute drive even without seeing a show after. Plus the environment was cool, service upbeat and friendly, and the location is close to everything. I heart Wizard!

Delicious. Probably the best vegan burgers Ive ever had, and unbelievable tater tots. Do yourself a favor and get some fried pickles as well; thats the kind of lunch that sends you into a loving food coma. Worth every penny.

I am saddened by the experience I had at Wizard Burger. Although it will appeal to many, as the reviews attest, the offerings here buy into the make a big sandwich with lots of ingredients and drown it in some [dubious] sauce theory of cuisine that I find unappetizing. I couldnt taste the burger because of a sauce so sugary that it made my soda seem tart. The ingredients were piled so high there was no eating without losing pieces to the table and floor and being covered in goo. The ingredients were so lost in each other and the sauce that discerning any one was difficult or impossible. No thanks.Im glad, in the abstract, a vegan spot is successful. Go vegans! I realize my taste is contrary to the current trend of goopy-gloppy piles of ingredients shoved between two pieces of bread. And I dont mean to slow WBs business. I write simply to let those who are of a similar taste that theyll be disappointed here. Congrats to the business, and continued success; Im sorry I wont be joining you again.
Shockingly good vegan food. The chili tots were just spicy enough to still show the complexity of the chili flavors. I need a shower after the orc poppah burger, but the sweetness of the jam and cream cheese really balanced the spiciness of the jalapeño’s and the saltiness of the onion rings on a perfectly cooked impossible burger. Reaaaally good. My wife got the chickorella chicken sandwich. The ranch dressing really stood out for her. But I was amazed by the preparation of the chicken and the crunchiness of the bacon. Crazy good food. Order too much. You won’t be disappointed.
We procrastinated getting burgers after the initial opening... but since our first order it has been likely a weekly thing(or more often) ..weve had most of the sandwiches on the menu and everything is amazing.. i would recommend wizard burger to anyone and not even think twice about it ...big filling burgers and the flavors are ridiculous!!! go get some now!!!

I want to try all of their burgers, but I also dont want to NOT have an Orc Popper with the pickled jalapeños, cream cheese, and Melba sauce. The most creative, unique, and perhaps controversial ingredient combination Ive ever experienced in a burger.The others are definitely more traditional (and thus, traditionally tasty) but Im a moth to a lamp when it comes to novel pallet experiences.My mother liked the Cluckerella.The sweet potato tots come with REAL maple syrup as a dipping sauce!! What a treat!To the business:The menu listed in this Google business details only lists like 2 of the burgers.When one clicks order online Google only shows a Doordash or call restaurant option.Additionally, it seems like you can only see the full menu by starting an actual order. It would be nice to view it statically on the website so that one doesnt have to load a third party website.
Best burger Ive had in a long long time
This place is solid, not even by vegan standards but for burgers in general. Theyre a little hole in the wall operation (their Albany store anyhow) while still under renovations. They sometimes run on a get what you get and dont get upset business model, which only adds to their desirability. They also deliver!
Top tier vegan spot that a carnivore could easily mistake as real meat, cheese, and egg. 2nd Breakfast would be a satisfying first and third breakfast. Will definitely be stopping in again.

I havent eaten here yet but this was her Burger is organic burgers this is not regular beef this is a plant-based hamburger I still have to try them and Im sure theyre going to be yummy I dont have the prices I havent looked online yet and I dont think they were online a lot of more things has to be put into this restaurant until it goes into full effect but theyre getting there be patient Im sure its going to be wonderful

2022-02-16We came here for lunch on a weekday, our orders came out promptly and everything was delicious! We had a mix of dietary restrictions (gluten free, vegetarian) and there was something for everyone! Portion sizes were great, staff were friendly. The decor is great as well! For those in our group who hadnt tried vegan food before, they were pleasantly surprised, and also gave compliments to the bacon. Looking forward to coming back again.

2021-08-31Great vegan comfort food. I would like to see more sustainable packaging and drink options. Although, they do have boxed water, so theyre somewhat attempting. The big kahuna was so tasty! The raptor (added onion rings) was good but not as good as the big kahuna. I also ordered fried pickles and sweet potato tots with maple syrup which were great too. Its nice to come to an all-vegan spot. I hope theyll serve the Albany community for many, many years.

2022-02-02If you are vegan then you have to try this place. The guy went out of his way to accommodate me, and I was not disappointed. The tater tots were fine, but then again they were tater tots. Nothing wrong with them. Tasty. The star the show was the Kahuna breakfast sandwich. Lozzie Mussy that thang is a party in your mouth. Everything is vegan. And their sandwiches are a home run. I want to try the chickn next. I would bring friends here. Carnivores would never know the difference.

2022-06-07Every experience is better than the previous. I am currently working my way through the menu. I have yet to try something that wasnt absolutely fabulous!!! The burgers are unique and inventive. Nothing basic here. The menu always has something new and delicious. The best part... Everything is plant based so I can order anything off the menu without having to worry about my food coming out of the kitchen containing some sort of animal product. Wizard Burger makes vegan eating easy.

2022-05-14Every burger Ive had here has been satisfying and bringing me back for more. Today their menu had Say Kimchis and Die Burger, I say had bc I took the last one sorry but Im honestly not sorry bc wow that burger is incredible. I went with the grilled chickn and I think it highlighted the toppings even more, shout out to Son of an Eggs Kimchi - I love when local supports local!! This burger is a special so if you see it you really need to get it, dont second guess it just do it.. And throw in a side while youre at it, tonights choice.. tots for the win!!I need to keep a better eye on their menu, this one could have passed me by.

2021-09-13I am probably the furthest thing from a vegetarian or a vegan I eat meat usually 2 meals a day sometimes 3 and I had the magic-ano burger and was shocked I literally had regular pulled pork yesterday and the “pulled pork” on this “burger” blew it out the water! I also ordered those SWEET sweet tater tots and they had my favorite drink what more could I ask for.

2022-06-29Excellent, generously sized plant-based burgers with a variety of options for toppings. The buns are light so you dont feel stuffed afterward. They have a good variety of beers and wines and mixed drinks. The bar tender the night we went was very friendly. We enjoyed sitting by the window with a great view of passers-by, but there is a large dining area in a room off the bar area. Definitely will visit again.

2021-08-12Mumbo Jumbo, Big Kahuna Burger w/grilled chickn, Magic-ano(not pictured), Chickn Tenders & a Maple Milkshake ! Boyfriend & I split everything, were still full hours later! Love how personalized they make each customers order/to go bags. I honestly couldnt pick a favorite out of all of these, they were all just that good! I love going w/things that have a similar mix of sweet & spicy like The Big Kahuna. Not sure what the bacon was made of but I was a huge fan of both taste/texture. Id eat a bunch of it alone. Mumbo Jumbo sticks to its name, do you see all the goodness stuffed into this thing? Try dipping it in the ranch btw, yum! My boyfriend is a simple man, his go to would be a bbq style so the Magic-ano was perfect for him and it had all the components he looks for in a typical burger. The Chickn Tenders had a nice crunch & went really well w/the sauces. Definitely reminiscent of a chicken fry! Lastly this maple milkshake hit the spot. It was soo creamy. ✨enchanted indeed✨🔮

2022-04-14This is one of the best in fast food vegan eateries to have popped up In The last 5 years. I even got coworkers who are typically straight meat eaters to try some of these burgers and fall in love. The flavor combinations are out of the box. Its indulgent and fun, my turn!
