Great and safe place to live and buy!!! I come home from work late at night past 9pm and feel safe every night .Strong board and president who makes sure our financials are in order!! Our president and board value our investment and if you follow the rules you should have no problems here! As a matter of fact we sold our one bedroom without any issues and got the same comment from all buyer’s real estate agents -“ the woodlands has strong financials and therefore makes the units desirable.” The Rules are simple human being rules . i value our board members walking around our community to ensure our property values are maintained, people follow the rules and the exterior of people’s property is kept up. Keeping the exterior nice raises the co- op unit’s value! If you keep you interior place nice Co-op sale offers are being accepted within a few days of listing - our was. We accepted an offer on the day of our open house- 4 days after our unit was listed. This is a hidden gem! We love the ability to walk to restaurants, supermarket and train. Those who provide a negative opinion of the Woodlands have the fredom to move yet choose to remain where they are-some stay for years even though living here for them is miserable- So much for their opinion and what a sad existence to make trouble. . we have been here 4 1/2 years and never had an issue with the board or maintenance or neighborhood. . In fact- we are choosing to stay and buying a 2 bedroom.

THE WOODLANDS AT ISLIP IS A GREAT PLACEI have been living at the Woodlands for 12 years.I love it! Great friends, beautiful trees, summer events at our beautiful pool, decks for outdoor space, small dogs allowed, gardening by your unit permitted and holiday events as well.The area we live in is perfectly safe and the community has a 30 camera security system to ensure that fact!Buyer beware of disgruntled ex shareholders Anybody that has something negative to say about this community is usually someone who does not know how to follow simple rules needed in a communal living situation.THE WOODLANDS IS A GREAT PLACE TO LIVE

Bad area and hostile environment. Trashy. You will lose your investment. If you get in, good luck selling as they price fix and will hold you hostage till you fix up your unit. And wont accept your buyer. Two shareholders were assaulted. If you like being stalked and harassed this is your place. The Board President can be seen all hunched over, looking very weak, lurking around units looking in windows, day and night, Really creepy dude. He has nothing to do with his time but make trouble. Its been going on 20 years. Do not buy here until he is gone.
