I purchased a WoodMaxx WM-8H in 2014. I have been extremely pleased with the product. Besides being a great piece of equipment, the customer service has been phenomenal. Whether it is having knives sharpened or ordering parts, the orders have been responsive and quick to ship to the customer. The website for parts is easy and parts are available. Thanks much for the fantastic product.

A great piece of equipment. I purchased the 8H in July 2022. Had it shipped to Hawaii. A great piece of equipment. Heavy duty construction. Customer service is great too. Tried it out and chipped a few pickup loads. All went great. Ate them trees up. The hydraulic feed is a big plus.

I dont recommend this company. I bought a WM7600 backhoe attachment & three buckets, 18, 12 and 9 from them in 2020, 2021 & this year. Ive spent over $6000 on these purchases. My backhoe had less 40 hours use and was only two years old when a hydraulic hose going from the pump to the control manifold ruptured where a metal hose clamp was holding it to the under frame. This occurred when my boom/bucket where down in a trench two feet deep. I contacted their service/parts department for help with repairs. This replacement hose was out of stock for 6-8 weeks. I attempted to get a new hose locally but none of the shops had a banjo fitting to go on the manifold. I contacted the service dept again, via email, about getting a fitting or giving me a supply source or part number. No one ever contacted me. Apparently as long as their making sales, they love you. But as soon as you need support, they could obviously care less it seems. The whole problem started with what appears to me to be a design flaw, metal clamp holding the rubber hose that does a lot of flexing. I am not happy about my purchase at all.

So I have been running 2 of their products for 4 years now and all I can say is Thank You Woodmaxx. Both my chipper and flail mower have had many hours put on both maintaining our 83 acres. My recent experience was I blew a hydraulic line on the flail mower and ordered up a new set, along with a set of hammer blades. They called me to tell me that the set of blades I ordered was for an earlier machine than mine. This means that they actually looked up what I had and called to say those wont work on your mower. That is true customer service, most companies would fill the order and then its your fault for ordering the wrong parts. A Woodmaxx sales rep took the time to correct me and make sure that I would be getting the CORRECT parts for my flail mower. THANK YOU WOODMAXX! Their prices for the products cannot be beat, from a veteran, to all the veterans at Woodmaxx, again THANK YOU and THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE!

Absolutely LOVE my Woodmaxx SB-60 snowblower. I just used it for the first time this year (third winter with it) and it was so nice to just get the job done so easily. It is so beefy, never clogs, shoots snow so far that I can choose any direction on wide driveway. I can’t imagine a better blower. GREAT value, Great customer service, Great website, I highly recommend any and all of their products. 100 times better than my first tractor mounted snowblower.

Im in love with my DC-1260 wood chipper from WoodMaxx. Ive used and had other chippers in the past and none even come close to how great the WoodMaxx is. The 1260 is extremely powerful — chipping trees with trunks to a few inches in diameter and self-feeding for efficient processing of even large brush piles. The marketing literature on this does not exaggerate its capacity. If anything, the capacity listings are conservative ... or maybe Im an aggressive chipper user. Anyway, I like how while the chipper chips, I am free to return to the brush pile and grab and orient the next pieces to go through. The capacity of this chipper is a good fit for us and our property ... as any trees bigger in diameter than what the 1260 can handle is stuff wed likely chainsaw, split, and season for burning anyway.Even though this is a 500-lb machine, its so beautifully balanced that I (as a woman of average strength) can roll this around by myself — only asking my husband for help on very bumpy trails or paths with steeper inclines. To get the DC-1260 up the steepest path on our property, my husband and our friend hooked it to our small DR Power Mover in reverse and towed it. Technically, the DR doesnt even have a tow hitch so they just jiggered something to make it work. The single-chute design of the DC-1260 is also good for people like me who dont want to monkey around with separate trunk and brush chutes. There is a slight compromise in the fineness with which the chipper shreds up little branches, but thats not a huge deal for us ... as those very small twigs flatten and break down over the winter and spring anyway. When I bought the DC-1260 unfortunately the electric start was out of stock — so I had to buy the pull start. Happy to say though that the Briggs & Stratton starts every time with ease — always on 1st or 2nd pull. Other chippers weve had were also based off Briggs & Stratton engines, but none behaved so reliably as this one.The safety bar all around the input chute is awesome. Ive accidentally stopped the machine on it when trying to put trees through with especially wide-reaching branches (which catch and depress the bar to stop). Glad to have one or two false stops every 10 or 20 hours of running if it means that the safety shut-off bar is that reliable for true emergencies. Just a really well thought-out design on this safety feature. We love the tool box fixed to the side of the machine as well. I bought a nice ratcheting socket wrench and 10-mm socket to live in this little toolbox — so I can remove the belt-drive cover and take a peek at tension now and then. Also got a simple tension gauge to live in the 1260s toolbox. All other tools that came with the machine (including that to swing open the input chute to expose the blades to clear jams) are sufficient. I have only jammed the machine once — smelly burning rubber will quickly tell you if thats happened. My single jam was a fluke wood segment that managed to get stuck on a blade longways. Have never had that problem again — and the drive belts survived just fine ... was back up and running in about 10 minutes. Before ordering the WoodMaxx, I called a couple times with questions about shipping. Each person was very friendly and knowledgeable. I appreciated that even with my being a woman, everyone I spoke to at WoodMaxx was able and willing to go into technical details and answer all my questions with respect. The only issue you will have with the WoodMaxx DC-1260 is collecting enough brush to justify firing it up. The machine goes through even mountains of small trees and brush with unbelievable speed and efficiency.

I bought a snowblower from them and was able to pick it up. It is a very well built piece of equipment. Heavy duty for sure. It was pretty simple to get setup and on my tractor. Looking forward to putting it to work this winter.

Im very disappointed in WoodMaxx. Im a first time buyer and I dont plan to be back.I ordered a flail mower with hydraulic side shift. It was packaged so cheaply with zip ties, a little cellophane and minimal small angle iron that the order arrived with many missing items and some damage to multiple parts.I called Thursday morning and left a message with the service department explaining the issues. I sent them an email with photos per the voice mail instructions. No response Thursday.I called Friday morning and left another message with the service department about the issues and that I had sent them an email on Thursday. No response Friday. No one called or replied to my email on Monday, but I did receive an automated email with tracking, I assumed for the replacement parts. I called the service department and told them we found a damaged hose over the weekend. They asked which size and I gave them the info.A week goes by and I still hadnt heard anything about the replacement hose. I called the service department, and I was told they forgot about it and would send one out. The new hose arrived and it must have been one of their reject hoses as the protective sheath was only crimped on one side. The sheath slides up the hose without effort.Damaged/Missing items:1. Half of the PTO shaft was missing2. One of the hydrailic side shift guides was damaged by rubbing on the small angle iron during shipping3. Missing one clevis pin4. Damage to one of the hydraulic hoses from rubbing on the angle iron during shipping5. Three of the four bolts that hold the PTO 90 degree drive were missing6. Multiple areas of paint missing from components rubbing during shipping

I drove out to their location and picked up my Woodmaxx FM-62 flail mower, and Ive been very happy with it. They folks onsite were very professional, they even offered me snacks and drinks while I waited for them to get my mower ready to go. I got a company T-shirt and Hat out of the deal too! Very proud to wear them, and I get folks complimenting my flail mower too when Im using it. They sell very good products, and their customer support is excellent! I was very happy they let me pick the product up too... it was an awesome day trip for me. They loaded it up right up in my trailer and I was ready to go! Very pleased!

I am very satisfied with my purchase of the WoodMaxx WM-8H PTO Chipper.I was naturally concerned about the quality of a machine I had only seen pictures of on a website. If you have not had a chance to physically inspect one, these are not light weight machines. Years of development have gone into their design to arrive at the well-built, high performance models that are currently available. It was well worth the extra money for the WM-8H to have adjustable hydraulic feed speed and reverse capability. If you are chipping small 1 to 3 inch material you can let it go through very quickly. When running 6 inch trees I slow it down to 3 on the speed control. I have taken advantage of reversing the feed rollers several times (always due to oddly shaped pieces that should not have been put in to begin with)Dont worry if you have a smaller tractor because my Kubota B7800 30 HP / 22 PTO HP is doing great at running this chipper. I can easily chip 4 and I am running up to 6 pine as long it is not the last few feet of the trunk. Those pieces of much denser wood go on the burn pile. The chipper can handle them but my tractor bogs down by 400-500 RPMs which in turn sends big chunks out of the chipper.I have had great experience with the WoodMaxx staff before, during, and after my purchase. Shipping and packaging were also great. The metal crates these machines are shipped in are very effective at protecting their valuable contents. If you have a need to call WoodMaxx there is someone there in New York to talk to whether you need sales, parts, order info, or support. I highly recommend WoodMaxx as a quality power equipment supplier and if you need a PTO Chipper, get the WM-8H.
