Wish I could give 3.5 stars because the service wasnt the best and the prices are a little high, but the food was very good. I was in a party of three, and we all really enjoyed what we got (Irish curry and two pizza dishes--buffalo chicken and maybe a honey based bee thing?). Ill likely go back to sample more of a menu that very much appealed to me.
You guys should try their Irish breakfast 🍳 it’s really good for a first timer who just visited there. The server was very professional handling us and the ambiance of the place is simple yet soothing plus cool musicSo i give them 5 stars since i like 👍🏻 the way we were taken care of
I had the absolutely delicious Buttermilk Chicken Sandwich. Made with bread they bake onsite. A very comfortable and down-to-earth place. Big screen TVs with a variety of shows and easy listening music. Relaxing atmosphere. Food is great and theres a variety to choose from. Prices are reasonable. Bathrooms are very clean as well as the rest of the place. The manager & waiters are attentive and very friendly.
Like they say in baseball - strike three, your out. I have been here a few times. First time the service was horrible. Second time the food was horrible. Third time both the food and service was horrible. I felt that every place deserves another chance but my third time was the last. On my last visit my friend and I just received our appetizers and within one minute our main course was brought to us and just left at the corner of the table, basically just shoving our plates aside while eating our appetizers - and this was done not by our waiter but by the owner. They recently are trying with desperation to add pizza to their menu. The pizza at 7-11 is better. DONE WITH THIS PLACE.
The first visit here was really good. I felt very comfortable, big place but felt cozy and warm. I had smoked salmon, friend had Irish breakfast and that was great. The service was great and friendly. I will certainly be returning and try their other items on the menu.
Food was great and service was alright. You seat yourself however it took the staff a while to even give us a menu. A couple came in after us and they received a menu before we did. However when we were helped, the staff was nice and accommodating! Again, took someone a while to come over to give us the check. But all in all, it was good.
Walked past this place many times and finally stopped in. Really friendly staff, nice environment and very clean. The food was excellent. Real side salad, not just a bowl of lettuce with a couple of tomatoes and cheap dressing. Portions were big. This place is definitely going in the rotation now.
We absolutely like going to Woodside Cafe for dinner or brunch. They have really good brick oven pizzas and burgers. Their wine selection is also pretty good. The food and drink prices are so reasonable. We never had anything bad here. And their staff are always so nice even when they get busy. The manager Zoran absolutely knows how to run a restaurant and makes sure the customers leave satisfied. Thank you Zoran! So glad we have this cafe in our neighborhood especially if you dont feel like going to a pub for dinner and drinks.
I have gone to this place many times throughout the years. However, I think they recently got new owners. I ordered crab cakes today and they gave me small crab balls with a sprinkle of corn around it and charged me 10 dollars. I complained to the waitress that these are not what crab cakes should be; they were way too small. I did not ask for anything else and I asked for the bill, the waitress gave me the bill and did not even say thank you. Therefore, I rate this place a 1 star for misleading menu and bad customer service. I miss the old Woodside Cafe
Im not sure who is giving them the five, four, or three star reviews but um wow. They must be family and friends.I keep coming back, glutton for punishment maybe, hoping they improved. Its a nice looking place. Very clean and put together but dont let that fool you.I have yet to eat one thing that had flavor, or wasnt dry, or misrepresented. How do you screw up eggs? Just add salt and pepper and walla!!! You have flavor.
When I was served an omelette that I didnt order, I asked to speak to the manager butthe waiter brought me the bill instead. So I walked to the Manager, Zoran, to explain this is not what I ordered. He assumed I didnt want to pay anything and arrogantly told me, You dont have to pay and if the food is not up to your expectations, not to come here and dont come here anymore. Thats how he decided to handle this situation after speaking to me while Ive been eating in there once or twice a week for years. (By the way, dont expect to get those caramelized onions thats described on their menu.) Afterwards, I realized how much money I was spending eating in Woodside Cafe and so glad that the Manager told me not to eat there anymore. Now I go to eat in Jackson Hole, which has much better EVERYTHING and also saves me money because theres no need for me to pay for a parking meter anymore!
I always love a really solid diner, and Woodside Cafe is definitely that. While they dont have the never-ending menu that other diners have, the items that are offered are pretty stellar. The brunch is the real star here, as you get complimentary drinks with your entree. What a steal! The selection of irish breakfast dishes is a total dream. The Egg in a Hole is a complete delight, as its a thick piece of brioche toast with a fried egg inside. Just pour maple syrup on that bad boy and you have a ridiculously decadent meal.
Great place to eat lunch and the price is cheap compared to the Georgia Diner on Queens Blvd and the food is delicious 😋 the Irish waitresses that works there is so sweet and always asks if we need anything else. Whenever I am in the neighborhood I make sure I visit the Woodside Cafe you won’t be disappointed if you stop by to eat there 👌🏻
The restaurant/bar/grill has an interesting menu for what is categorized as Irish. They have corned beef hash while also serving Latino dishes like quesadillas, both of which they cooked quite well. I would recommend coming here for the brunch cause you get booze with the food, that is also mixed quite well.
Been here twice and as long as your significant other isnt African american (BLACK) your service is probably going to be okay. People that came 5-10 minutes after my wife and i had already finished brunch and we were still waiting, i was told my order was ( DIFFERENT) i had a burger and a sandwich. This place is very racist, if you are of a color stay away, youll be happy you did, or if youd like to experience racism this is the place to GO.
I had the roast beef after work special with a chicken soup starter and the food was delicious. It is a very small diner-esque restaurant. The staff is friendly and the music playlist is soft and up to date. Their menu is mixed types of american and they have a nice small selection of desserts. I would recommend for a weeknight or an impromptu dinner.
Terrible foood and dishonest practices. This restaurant practices rounding-up where they decide to increase your bill to avoid dealing with coins this is not clearly disclosed on the menu or anywhere in the restaurant. The customer finds out when the bill comes. This is not transparent and boerdeline illegal in my opinion. I do not recommend this place. The food was bad too.
Bad service, no greeting, no water no menu for five min after we sat our self down. And the place was empty. Imagine you walk in to a restaurant and standing there for a long time, no one comes to greed you. Then a group come in and they got serve with water and menu. This is in my neighborhood but i will never ever come here again.

2021-11-23Woodside Cafe is a MUST go to if you’re in queens. EVERYTHING was amazing from service to food. I got the onion soup, mac and cheese skillet and philly cheese steak sandwich. Everything was literal perfection! Elias was our server and he was the most polite person ever. He checked up on us frequently and was quick. Also the woman with the butterfly tattoos on her neck. She checked up on us every 20 minutes or so and it was nice to see they genuinely provide good service. The food is also a great reasonable price. 100% plan to come back.

2019-10-05Others appear to have had better experiences. For me, I ordered two coffees ☕☕ and one bowl of lentil soup🍲. The soup never came 😕 They charged $4 (not bad), but required $10 or more for credit card, so I used cash. When I asked for a receipt, they complained and then charged $0.43 extra for the receipt 🧾. Overall, this was an odd experience, though its probably better if you order more food 🤔
